I was just casually thinking about your whole dybmn series and now I’m wondering, as both reader and Spencer become more confident with their spicy dynamics, what kind of lover would Spencer become with her? 18+ long ass rambling and things i think about A Lot ……..

in my opinion (which is not the end all be all everyone can perceive them however they’d like) reader and spencer definitely bring out more sexually adventurous sides of each other like they just have a shit ton of chemistry and for a while ithink spencer would just be easing reader into sexuality so nothing that crazy would happen aside from the power dynamics we see pretty much from the start. i think those would definitely get stronger and occasionally more variable. im not usually into sub!spence but i think there would be times he would definitely allow reader to have more control (i don’t ever think he’d be like calling them mommy lmfao) but aside from that i could also see him veering VERY rarely in a slightly harder!dom direction. like he’ll never hurt or seriously degrade you but in p3 reader says something about liking it when he acts like they belong to him and he was really into that. as the relationship progresses i think he would almost start taking more ownership of r’s body in a way, like obviously nothing is ever nonconsensual but he just knows you so well that it’s like… well he knows you better than you know yourself sooo you let him call the shots, but at his core i think spencer is forever oriented to please. he just wants to make you feel good, that’s always gonna be his goal, so he’s always going to listen and even if the power dynamic is weighed in his favor you are actually always the one in control bc he’d do anything for u lol

in terms of kinks…. idk, i never really see spencer as a super kinky guy? like he just knows too much about paraphilia and obviously sexual violence ties into a lot of his job so i sincerely doubt he’d find giving or receiving pain arousing beyond like slapping your ass or you scratching his back or whatever. love is always at the heart of sex for him and that’s going to be the most important part, he’ll never be able to see you just as a body. he’ll always see you as the person he’s in love with and there are things he’s simply not willing to do to the person he loves.

because of his trauma he’s super duper hesitant about bondage BUT i think he wouldn’t be completely opposed to very light restraints on you or him, he’d just have to be in a specific mood. i also never see him as being someone who’s super into toys because he’s such a luddite, he can barely stand having an email i doubt he’s going to have an extensive collection of sex toys. but he would so use your vibrator on you or make you use it on yourself in front of him again if he’s in a very specific mood

oh but YES he DELIGHTS in having defiled and corrupted you. idc idc im not accepting criticism on this. like he spoils you so much that you’re used to getting him whenever you want and so you’re not very subtle about it. if you get all needy in public and start draping yourself all over him and giving him looks and pulling on his sleeve because you want to go home he’ll fuck you in rossi’s bathroom because he wants to encourage your lewd behavior.

obviously he has boundaries tho and he has respect for you and the people around him like he won’t do anything that draws attention and he’ll only ever do things he knows he can get away with without anyone else noticing

later seasons spence also LOVES when you leave marks on him he thinks it’s cute how you mark your territory and he’s not at all embarrassed if there is a hickey above his collar at work. in his mind it’s like. why would he care about other peoples opinions on his sex life when they have nothing to do with it god i think about this all the time

(Part 1)

Tw/CW: Guns, talk of whoring, Violets SA trauma

Summary: Violet and Billy starting their new lives as outlaws

A/N: I've had a pretty bad headache lately so I'm splicing this chapter in half & bc i wanna work on my other drafts🫡

Violet stretched as her horse and Billy's trotted by the river of the Arizona territory. She was tired, hungry, and in need of a bath but she didn't complain. She knew what she was getting into when Billy agreed to try and rob the Chinese Laundry place back in Silver City. The question was if she would accept it, and she did without complaint. There was no room for outlaws who complained about the life they chose.

"Hey, Billy," She called, grabbing his attention from his thoughts to her. "You ever reckon why other women whore their bodies to other men?"

Billy blinked, scowling in confusion.

"No.... why?" He asked slowly while raising a brow at her. As the days went on, just ridin' away from their home, more Violet's than his, Billy was getting used to the random questions from Vi. The questions he never thought of until Violet would ask it. He didn't mind it, though, as he learned she was a very closed off person growing up.

Hidden away from everything else, raised to be a housewife and nothing more, Violet only started to explore the outside when she was 15. She had met Antrim while he was on a so-called "business trip," and he began to seduce her. Convince her that he was the one for her. Hearing how easily Henry had fooled Violet made Billy's blood boil.

Violet was a good person, and Henry tried to trap her into a marriage when he was married already with a child of his own.

The thought alone of Violet being forced to carry a child she didn't want pissed Billy off. He wanted to find Henry and shoot him between the eyes. He didn't deserve life.

"Billy? D'you hear me?" She asked him, bringing her horse, North, to a stop.

Billy stopped his horse as well and realized he hadn't heard her at all. "No, sorry, what'd you say?"

"I said the reason I think they do is 'cause men typically won't take 'em seriously. 'Specially if they have a real pretty face," She told him with a gentle shrug. "Unless they prove themselves worthy of workin' hard, a lot of men won't take 'em seriously and pay 'em less-hell, maybe even pay 'em nothin', so they'd choose to be a whore instead because that pays more if you're a good and experienced fuck."

Billy nodded in agreement with her explanation. It was no secret that women were paid less, almost nothin', compared to men unless they were a good fuck and real good one.

"Seems reasonable 'nough. You've given this a lot of thought though, Vi," He replied, a tad curious. "May I ask why?"

Violet blushed a little, looking at her hands embarrassedly.

"I, uh... considered goin' down that path after what happened when i turned seventeen" She admitted, looking back at Billy, whose curious expression grew to horror and anger.

"Vi-" He began, before Violet held her hand up, quieting him.

"Calm down, cowboy, I ain't thought about that no more. Trust me, the next time anythin' intimate like that is happenin' if and when I get married," She reassured, letting North continue down the path with Billy in tow.

"Good. I don't want you to ever have to do that; some of those men ain't the most polite," He replied, letting his body relax after she assured him that she wouldn't go down that path. She had blushed at his words, tucking some of her curly locks behind her ear. Billy had a way with words that made Violet's heart flip and twist in so many ways that made her feel as if she was spin dancing.

They sat in a comfortable silence as their horses continued onward, having small talk happening to avoid losing each other or going to far from the other, when they both suddenly stopped.

"You hear that?" Billy questioned, glancing over at her as he slowly reached for his gun.

"Yeah. Think it's a critter?" She answered, going to grab her makeshift dagger from her belt when they both stopped, hearing someone shut the safety off their rifle.

They slowly looked towards the newcomer. Violet's eyes softened seeing him, the older man (who looked maybe 40 or 50 years old) and was relieved it wasn't some guy like Antrim or a small critter. She wasn't fond of killing animals for food and understood it was a necessity to live, but that didn't mean she had to like it.

Violet's eyes switched between Billy and the mysterious man as they exchanged words. More focusing on the rifle that was still pointed towards Billy.

"And you? What are you doin' with him?" The man inquired, pointing his rifle to Violet. She took a deep breath, putting her dagger away slowly.

"He's my friend. I helped him get away and outta jail. I'm stayin' with him to keep his ass in check," Violet explained calmly, taking her hat off to the older man, showing him respect. The older man looked at both of them before lowering his gun slowly, believing them.

"You two hungry?"

Violet sat next to Billy as he watched the chicken cooked over the fire, spinning her hat on her finger as the three of them sat in silence; well, Violet wasn't really sitting. She was leaning back against Billy, whom was sitting a log. She occasionally glanced back at the horses, smiling softly and seeing North chilling with Billy's horse. She hadn't been sure if North would get along with the horse she had stolen for Billy but was happy to see that he was just chilling.

"You two got names?" The older man asked as he rotated the chicken.

"Sure do; I'm Billy the Kid," He introduced, refusing to use the name Antrim. Violet quirked up a smile towards Billy, a mutual understanding passing between them to never speak of or use the last name.

"And I'm Violet Evans," She finished, setting her hat on the ground next to her and sitting up properly as the old man offered them each a piece of chicken, which they took gratefully and ate.

"I'm Alias," the older man said in response, earning a puzzled look from both of them. Neither of them questioned it, but were a little bit concerned.

"So what's your plan now that you're living the life of outlaws?"

The duo looked at each other, realizing they never discussed what they would do now.

"Well, shit."

Every time a new member is joining the manor, the entire population gets very lively

There are people chattering excitedly, wondering if they'll be friends with the new person

There's other's grumbling about how there's too many people as is

The list goes on

And once said person finally arrives, huge "meetings" (they're closer to parties, actually) are held to welcome the new memeber

But when word gets around that it's a child joining, the vibe is a little more...sad

A lot of the creeps come from bad childhood, so when they hear that the situation is so dire that they couldn't just wait until they're 18, it really just tugs at some heart strings

When this happens, the chatter is softer and kinder, and the "meetings" are not as big, only really including Slender, a few of the creeps that are good with kids, and the other kids

And of course, vegan friendly pizza and juice <33

BEN, being the shit demon he is, does not ever get invited to these smaller meetings

The kids of the manor don't really like him all that much (except for sally, but she likes everybody), and he doesn't like them

So when you toddle over to where he and heff are hanging out at on the second floor, he gets kind of anxious

He's playing mario 64, so thats good, but he and jeff tend to have pretty foul mouths and they are both nicotine addicts

He just doesn't wanna do anything that could bring up trauma for you

But instead, you decide to crawl up onto the couch between the two, looking up at BEN and asking if you can play

"Uhhh...sure" he says, handing you the controller

From that day on, you always make it a point to waddle over to his gaming spot and ask if you can play

For your first birthday at the manor, he gets you your very own nintendo switch lite and a few games he knows you like to play with him

You are his special little dude, and makes a point to make you happy whenever he can

Jeff doesnt like you all that much though, bc youre stealing his bestie/j

JJK Recs

Got a comment on this and figured I'd turn it into a post. Here are some of my favorite Gojo-centric JJK recs that basically live rent-free in my head and also very much so helped me form my own characterization for Gojo. Most of these are GoYuu bc I'm a shameless fan.

I keep the warmest truth - dehawny: Gojo/Yuuji | just adore this ace!Gojo headcanon. lowkey so torn on Gojo's sexuality bc I absolutely can see him being asexual and maybe even a bit touch-averse with the whole Infinity thing, but I also can see him being a total slut lol. This is one of my favorites and the only ace!Gojo I've found I think? The tags are just perfect and very much so aligned with my own personal Gojo heacanon 😂 "Gojou is confident about everything and that includes his sexuality", "he's also good at everything except maybe communicating"

A Duty and Responsibility - googlehome: Gojo/Sukuna this fic definitely pushed my 'bottom Gojo agenda' idk I can see this man with any sexuality I swear. Another great characterization of Gojo, and also Sukuna. I adore very serious fics with a splash of humor in the narrative. I can't imagine Gojo as a person who takes himself entirely seriously, no matter how much responsibility he accepts, or how many burdens he carries for others, or what kind of nonsense gay crisis he ends up in, so I just love his voice in this.

Countdown - Rizna: Gojo/Yuuji a fandom classic as far as I'm concerned. This is such an excellent role reversal AU - if you're into S2 teenage brat Gojo, this delivers. I love all versions of Gojo, including mouthy teenage twink Gojo deeply obsessed with his adult sensei who's Trying His Best™ to be the adult in the relationship.

Enough (A Cinderalla Story) - athena_crikey: Gojo/Yuuji in an absolutely fucking hilarious twist of irony, I actually didn't read this story for a long time because it was a rockstar AU and when I first got into this fandom I was desperate for canon stuff. Meanwhile I then go on to bust out 400k+ words of my own rockstar!Gojo AU, so I guess I'm just a fucking clown.

Heart Laid Bare - athena_crikey: Gojo/Namami incredible introspection on how Gojo handles (or rather, doesn't handle) the burden of being invincible and the strongest told in Nanami's POV. I could wax poetic about this fic and the way Gojo comes across so multi-faceted as both a man who can do everything and also a man who can't even remember to adequately feed himself. I drew a lot of the inspiration for Gojo's cursed technique in my fic from this, how Infinity is both his blessing and his curse and the parallels to his overuse of RCT being a kind of toxic spiral.

Shared Infinity - athena_crikey: Gojo & Yuuji - read the tags on this one it deals with some heavy stuff (not with Gojo) I love the way this fic showcases Gojo as a mature adult deeply protective over his students while still maintaining his kind of flippant/uncaring outer persona we see in the show. Just completely love fics that really naile the dichotomy of Gojo being both caring and yet rather unkind.

Take Two - athena_crikey: Gojo/Yuuji - specifically love how this AU fic deals with the idea of Gojo's own fame being his shield between himself in the world around him where his Infinity technique doesn't exist. I love how Gojo is handled in this one, so jagged around the edges, and just his own worst enemy when it comes to his own feelings. Also love me a Gojo who can own up to his own mistakes, look at our baby go, showing emotional maturity and everything!!

Still, More Firsts - hngr4fngr: Gojo/Yuuji man do I adore this whole series. Great porn with ridiculously excellent plot/characterizations lol like I came here for the bottom!Gojo and left with way too many feelings about how Gojo deals with his trauma and how that would effect his sex life. Also has a super interesting take on how Infinity works!

little lamb to the slaughter - voxofthevoid: Gojo/Yuuji still obsessed with the astoundingly incredible smut, just absolutely shook by how god-tier this writing is, it is so hard to write good smut, just pacing, flow, word choice... this could be a masterclass on how to write really great smut that can actually pull a visceral reaction out of a reader. I think a great deal of that ability comes from a mastery of the tone of voice of the characters, too. Gojo is just incredible in this Yuuji POV, the way he describes Gojo is just utter perfection. On a related note, in general Yuuji's voice is so fucking funny in a way that doesn't detract at all from the mood of the story. In fact I think this would be too heavy without his hilarious occasional inputs.

there is no try (but it's still going to take a while) - juurensha: Gojo/Geto I love me a star wars AU jfc. I'm not even a fan of SatoSugu but this is just *chefs kiss* Jedi Master Gojo is such a mood.

anchor - valleykey: Gojo/Geto I love this one mainly for the Suguru characterization, which I truly never thought I'd say bc I'm just not normally a fan of his character/relationship with Gojo. He's just perfect in this fic though - it just makes so much more sense for his characterization, and idk, pulls it altogether in a way I think it falls flat in canon. That isn't to say Gojo's not great in this, he's just really not the main character at all. But it deals well with Gojo's loyalty to those he deems worthy of it (even if the recipient isn't considered 'proper' by jujutsu society) and just offers a good take on supportive (and smitten) Gojo

in defense of sunflower: (major omori spoilers here cw!!)

why are people antagonizing them this badly? seriously i don't get it. they were children when the accident happened and gameplay shows that both of them got shittons of trauma

"what the hell were you guys thinking when you decided to ship two mentally unstable teenagers that participated in the same manslaughter??"

it was an accident. looking at the incident, i firmly believe it was very seriously fucked up, and they weren't in the right state of mind when it happened. consider the situation, the person you love most in the world is gone forever. in this situation, sunny completely closes in on himself and creates headspace. basil on the other hand sees sunny (his childhood best friend and the one he describes as 'perfect' and puts on a pedestal) completely having a mental breakdown. basil panics, not knowing what to do, because both of the people he idolize is gone - mari is dead, a part of sunny died with her. obviously he has a mental breakdown figuring out what to do, too?

obviously we should also consider basil's mental state at this point - pure speculation here, but basil, due to his feminine gender expression, would have been a victim of bullying, and the gang would have been his first friends. and basil photographs things he cherishes. that would mean he sees himself losing his friends when mari dies because sunny is most likely gonna be legally convicted of manslaughter right? in his disoriented, panicked mind, he wanted to protect sunny, the friend he most likely did have feelings for but was unable to admit them due to already being bullied, (that's just my hc dw) and did something that is super fucked up — he did more harm than good, but i believe he was just trying to fix everything back the way it was. we're absolutely going to talk about why Basil knows how to tie a noose, which adds to my point — basil might already have been mentally unwell (no doubt taking more shit from life than one is supposed to) BEFORE he met his friends, and he was desperately trying to salvage what little happiness he had left.

i cannot deny that sunnflower has full potential of being a very unhealthy and toxic relationship, but i might add that the true + secret ending has both Somethings disappear, implying that both of them are capable of healing. thats why i ship them manyyearsafter-canon or AU, bc therapy can fix shit ive seen it myself

ill end this little rant by a comment from j0kerclash on reddit:

Pairing them together is the implication that they are able to completely heal from their trauma, the actual dynamics of their relationship isn't toxic, it was the circumstances of their interactions combined with the context of the event itself. Sunny and Basil aren't permanently fucked up, I'd say it's quite harmful to imply that people are forever broken and can never truly recover. Considering the choices in the game are about confronting, accepting, and moving on from guilt and trauma, the best scenario for both Sunny and Basil, is if they were truly able to let go and not become triggers for each other, which is illustrated by them being unaffected by the potential toxicity of their past.

I got a very big anxiety crisis because of this situation, it was terrible, but im better now!!:D

The only thing that scares me is the fandom invalidate the people who were victims of pedo just because they decide to still watch Forever y'know?

I’m glad I could help somehow!! if you’re anxious about the whole thing, don’t be afraid to take a step back!! I felt this looming sense of dread over it this morning, as I’m sure many of us did, so I’m happy I was able to put some people’s minds at ease. we don’t know everything about the situation yet, so let’s all just take a deep breath and remember that we are not personally involved in this situation and we can make our judgements if and when more information comes to light.

and YES god the thing about invalidating victims sucks, and the thing is it seems to happen from both sides of the argument. ofc most people from both sides aren’t invalidating victims’ experiences, but there are loud minorities from both who are. Some of those who dislike him are ignoring the victim’s wishes to not be involved (bc the information came from a third party) and pestering her to talk about it anyway as if somehow hearing from her will magically make it all make sense, even if it means her reopening her trauma and causing her harm, and some of those who still support him are saying there’s no way this is a valid allegation and the alleged victim should be ashamed, and he is right to get pissed since it’s OH SO CLEARLY false and EVERYONE gets these allegations nowadays (sarcasm). We have no way of knowing 100% if it’s true, the alleged victim has claimed that she does not want to be involved as far as I’m aware, the information came from a third party who apparently has a history of digging up dirt about the Brazilian ccs—there are SO many factors here that we can’t confirm or deny anything.

half the fandom is reacting the same way Dream’s fanbase did when his allegations (whether they ended up being true or not; idk i don’t care enough about him to watch his fucking video essay) came out. People are saying that the person bringing up the allegations is clearly just a hater and that’s the only reason they have for this. And maybe that’s true!! Idk!!! I’ve heard through the grapevine that the alleged victim does not want to be involved!!! It’s like when Cellbit’s past abusive relationship was being talked about a few months ago; the victim wanted no part in calling him out because the situation was done and over with and they didn’t want to think about it, let alone fight for some kind of justice they didn’t even want. It’s a complicated situation, but people need to stop putting this off as just hate from antis. These are allegations, and they should be taken seriously, while also leaving the victim alone and not pestering her for details. If she comes out and says she doesn’t want justice for this, let her have her peace. If Forever shows that he has changed—which it seems like he has, at least from my perspective—let him sort this out. If all of it is true and as bad as it seems?? Sure, drag him to hell and back. But take in as much information as you can before you decide what you want to do.

but anyway RANT ASIDE, no matter what, do not be afraid to take a step back and do something else. Your mental health is more important than the dubiously moral actions of some content creator.

Way back when it aired I watched True Blood, but I never finished it. And for some reason people around me and online started talking about it again, so when it was recommended on Netflix I decided to start from the beginning :3

This show is something that I can't take seriously at all and regularly kicks me in the feels, because somehow they get me to care very much about some (not all) of the characters. Like Terry and Lafayette 💖

Oops I wanted to write some thoughts in the tags, but it became a tag wall so I might as well just put it below the cut:

Actually I actively dislike most of them 90% of the time lol, but in like an entertaining way? So yeah very mixed feelings about this show bc 1) fuck them for the way they treated Tara. I was yelling ''leave her ALONE'' at my screen by - idk episode 2? Like I really don't care that Sookie found herself in bad situations all the time, because she plunged right into a lot of them all by herself. But Tara just kept getting dragged along by rip currents that she was trying so hard to get away from.

Also 2) I hate hate hate hate Hoyt and I despise that I'm supposed to sympathise with him and that in the end Jessica takes all the blame for what happened between them? That asshole couldn't accept that sometimes people fall out of love with their romantic partner and said the most HORRIBLE things to and about Jess because she was honest about her feelings. Like in the last season he comes back and she's like ''I was young and foolish and not ready.'' As if that justifies how he reacted to her?? He's just one of those ''''''''nice guys'''''''' Like, he doesn't remember so he doesn't have to apologise?? Ugghh Jessica at Jason were like "ahh I'm so comfortable with you, and you always know what I need - we must be really good friends :))))" and then marries the guy who's treated both his girlfriends like shit. WHAT the hell.

(There's more but these two are my main annoyances the day after finishing it and I'm gonna shut up about that now.)

Terry on the other hand was an actual good guy and I love him to bits. Lafayette is not a good guy, but mostly because of his shady businesses I love him to bits as well. I'm sad they didn't have more one-on-one scenes together, because the way they helped each other with their respective trauma was lovely.

It's not a good show, but it's a fun show and it has good touching moments..

Seventeen as F1 drivers

So, my bestie and I are both into F1 and we’re carats, and this started as a joke, but I took it seriously. Tbh i don't even know how to use this website, anyway, i had fun with these. Don't take it upfront, it's silly and meant to be funny, not offensive.

Seventeen members as F1 drivers would be:

S.Coups: Michael Schumacher (Ferrari era). Huge crack that makes history ? Well kind of, just like Michael he’d get out of his car to go and beat the shit out of that one mf that crashed into him. No Javi would be in the team anymore, too scared for their life. Kimi Raikkonen type of radios (anger issues). Ultra competitive and would swear as much as Tsunoda.

Jeonghan: Christian Horner. Yes. He is a good tactician deal with it, kinda evil like Horner sometimes, but he’s got as much love to provide to his kids just like Christian with Max. He would start racing but find out he’s even better at managing a team.

Joshua: Sebastian Vettel (not Redbull era). Not Redbull era bc he was (unfairly) disliked (just like Max) at that time, and EVERYONE loves Seb. That’s it, it’s the rule, you like F1 ? You like Seb. You don’t like F1 ? You still like Seb. Unproblematic and engaged king. Also a fucking legend.

Jun: Valteri Bottas (Alfa Romeo era). Unbothered moisturized king that slays. He’s doing his things, he doesn’t care because he knows his worth, you saw him naked and didn’t expect that. Everyone praises him on how he owns his style and he fucking does. Is hilarious when you don’t expect him to be.

Hoshi: George Russell. Iconic, hilarious, massive talent, carried Williams, CARRIED WILLIAMS, nothing to prove cuz he’s one of the best altho the Mercedes is hard to drive, doesn’t complain cuz he’s EXCELLENT and races with an 8th world champion without looking ridiculous next to him.

Wonwoo: Zhou Guanyu. He’s calm and collected, doesn’t make much waves, he’s doing his things and looks good doing them. Good pics, insta feed slays.

Woozi: Fernando Alonso. Dude will hit retirement age and still be talented, pisses me off. Rarely speaks but spicy and precise comments. Will sometimes mess with your mind, he is clever and knows how to handle himself.

DK: Alex Albon (Williams era). He’s EXCELLENT, is happy with what he has, he got treated badly when he was younger but now he knows his worth. Hard work, a sunshine, hella funny.

Mingyu: Charles Leclerc (Ferrari depressed edition). Huge ass talent (as in Max Verstappen talent, without the father trauma) but does silly mistakes, is also silly. Gets bullied by his own team, basically. Might look cute and all but can get pretty serious, like, fr, he’s talented and SMART.

Minghao: Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes era). Fashion icon, all about healthy soul in a healthy body, ICONIC. He’s just got the Lewis vibe idk like they would be friends i wouldn’t even be surprised.

Seungkwan: Daniel Ricciardo. The official sunshine of F1, the marketing face, everyone wants to meet him because he is so funny, iconic, adorable and he is talented. He carries F1’s image, he is still a sensitive person and can get hurt, so don’t, he has SO much to give and gives with pleasure, don’t hurt him (Br*wn if catch u). No one is more Dani coded than Seungkwan (kinda Seokmin too but had to choose).

Vernon: Carlos Sainz Jr. Mf isn’t part of this world, he’s seing things we don’t, chaotic in a calm way. Looks always hot in an unfair way (i might be biased). Aware of how people perceive him as weird, thinks it’s funny or doesn’t care. Unique laugh, why do they transform into seals when they’re laughing their ass out ???

Dino: Mick Schumacher (post H**s shithole era) or Oscar Piastri. He’s is the future of F1, the boy proved himself, teams literally fought over him. Give him a mediocre car he will still pull some good result although he’s a rookie, update the car and he’s a threat to experienced drivers that have been racing for years. Also Mick personality vibe, fr there’s something. Also very sweet then BOOM, he’s fucking hot.

One thing that struck me was that on learning the shadow king was back Lorna specifically asked for her brother and shot down seeing her father. She was even reluctant to tell Wanda what was happening until Pietro convinced her.

What was going on in her head at that moment and how do you feel about her respective relationships with her father and siblings (In the story and in cannon)

YESSSSSSSS I’ve been waiting for someone to ask this 🥰🥰🥰also thank you so much for enjoying Revenant, I have literally so much more of it to write (you have no idea this has gotten way out of control, this entire AU was created for a silly oneshot TerryLorna idea I had and I am STILL NOT EVEN AT A PLACE WHERE I CAN WRITE THE TERRYLORNA)....anyway this is about to be word vomit bc I have a LOT of thoughts

Okay so one of the big things here is that Lorna and Pietro have both had pivotal moments in their stories where they were mind controlled and made to do things that hurt people they cared about and neither of them really ever got a whole lot of support in recovering from that. And Pietro is, for all his faults, incredibly protective and incredibly loving of his sisters and while Lorna has spent a LOT of time pushing back against that protectiveness because she really and truly can handle herself and she and Pietro don't have that kind of history where he's seen her almost burned at the stake etc etc.... this is a moment where she wants someone to be ride or die in her corner and to be ride or die in her corner after it's all said and done even if she is controlled again...... and Pietro's fatal flaw is loyalty. She wanted someone who would come in and try to make it better even though there was nothing they could do, and she knew that if she called Pietro would come running. It's more an act of desperation than of familial love? But it's something that's really going to set the stage as the story progresses for how their relationship is going to evolve. We also know that Lorna is very afraid of seeming weak in front of her father- he has these grand expectations of her and when she doesn't meet his impossible standards she cracks under that weight and for as much as I love Erik and as much as I appreciate the steps he's taken to repair his relationship with her, being his daughter is not easy. And with Wanda, they arguably have the easier relationship within this group of siblings, where it really has become more genuinely sisterly and almost...dare I say? normal? But Wanda isn't really involved in X-Men stuff and hasn't really been to any grand extent barring her intro and M-Day (and much more recently Trial of Magneto)- her very presence on Krakoa is enough to inspire hatred and anger, with the Shadow King there Wanda as a first choice is probably not smart, and Wanda herself has so much baggage with mutantkind thanks to M-Day that it puts her in a weird position too.

I'm playing a lot with Wanda, Lorna, and Pietro's relationships with each other and with their father. I feel like Pietro is very underutilized and that he's not taken seriously by writers or by fans and so I really wanted to build on this Lorna-Pietro relationship that was starting to get established in All New X-Factor and to really kind of I guess force my readers to remember that Pietro isn't a bad guy? Which sounds stupid bc he's a hero but like people don't read for Pietro and take wildly ooc shit as fact. Like it's important to me that my readers know that it was Pietro who pushed for he and Wanda to leave the Brotherhood, and that Pietro tries so so so hard for his family and just wants to keep his sisters and daughter safe and that like he is a victim of much of the same trauma as Wanda and he's allowed to have responses to it without being whiny or having to get over it (no matter what Wanda said in Quicksilver: No Surrender).

But yeah, I have lots of Revenant thoughts, and feel free to dm me or send me asks about it anytime I love talking about it!

i saw a taking saying you’re meant to hate makima and not like her and though that reveal of what she really was (control devil)/wanted (chainsaw man and only him) was meant to be a shocker and the obvious moment of “oh fuck her” it disregards the fact that she was very much meant to be a liked character. and even after that reveal and despite everyone hating her she’s still meant to be liked as a really prominent character. people still find her attractive even after the twist because she’s always been an attractive character. it’s like people on tiktok attempt at nuance and no one succeeds. it’s like that video of dj khalid on the basketball course fumbling around with the ball but it’s people on tiktok. (this obviously wasn’t the worst take compared to a lot of others)

along with that it’s sort of weird how there’s a sort of fixation on how you shouldn’t like makima at all in comparison to evil male characters, which for some reason are fine to like compared to makima. still liking makima is not equal to being fine with what she did to denji. i hope that tiny rant made sense it’s just a lot of people saying “you’re meant to do this” and them not knowing what’s really happening

i promised myself i would never write csm meta (mostly bc i dont think i have a good enough grasp on every element to give consolidated analysis on the series) but this ask reallllyyy resonated with me because makima is SUCH a fantastically written villain and i think that while everyone who hates her is mostly justified in said hatred because she is awful but it's like. never for the right reasons and never with any real nuance or genuine thought. makima is FANTASTICALLY written and we as the audience aren't meant to hate her because the story is told mostly from the perspective of denji.

to understand makima, you really have to understand denjis circumstance as a protagonist. denji is a character who's motivations are overly simplistic and that's because of his upbringing. not once in his life did he experience genuine love, especially not parental or motherly love. ontop of that he was in such deep shit and financial debt that he was destined for poverty. he was poor, hungry, and lonely. all main characters suffer from sort of tragedy but that tragedy is meant to feed into their motivations and trigger a particular action.

yuujis grandfather dying would translate into his integration into jujutsu society. the death of tanjiros family with only nezuko remaining would give tanjiro a reason to become a demon slayer.

"show me your dreams." is a very intentional line in the context of who denji is because at the start of the series he has none.

all in all when examining denji as a character - you'll first notice characteristics he lacks before you notice things about him. what can people say about denji other than calling him a horny teenage boy? denji is a character defined by poverty, both metaphorical and literal. his experiences have tainted his character so that he's relatively amoral without the guidance of aki later in the series. and he, in general, is a character who is strangely empty despite his yearning desire to live. who is denji really? what does he really want? he has no idea.

denjis lack of motivation and that sense of emptiness is also very directly written in the text in this panel. it's a huge issue that he has no internal motivation and that is due to his trauma.

and worst of all, denji despite his sexual urges or perceived sexual urges, is deeply innocent in many of his perceptions. fujimoto confirmed in an interview about a year or so prior that what denji sought from makima was motherly love. and that always throws people off because he clearly seems to want to sleep with her... right?

that's the thing though and that's what you have to understand about denji and makima. denji is naive. and makima, as a character, caught onto this fact early and made use of denjis utter naivety. that power imbalance between them where makima offers her body to denji in exchange for his obedience is like textbook grooming. much in the same that afo groomed shigaraki to become what he did, makima groomed denji for her own benefit.

and maybe you and me and the other people who are reading the story can recognize the multiple read flags that are very obvious about makima. the way she casually mentions making denji her dog for one, but also her clear lack of respect for his agency and strange possession. the way she dangles her attention over his head. all of these things, we as the viewers can see and understand. but this story is not about me and you, but about denji.

the way makima is potrayed is through denjis eyes is always exceptionally beautiful. denji views her with complete reverence and that's why saying she's meant to be disliked is absurd. because even to the bitterest end, where makima has effectively robbed denji of everything for her own completely selfish gain - denji admires her. he cares for her, in spite of himself and in spite of knowing how wrong it all is. he wants her approval and that is all in thanks to what makima was able to do in the time they spent together. the deep attachment that she had created to crush in the end. grooming, again.

this panel is one i often reference because its one of those scenes that shocking and a lot to see. but what i want to discuss is the framing because it's so relevant so intentional. the near holiness in which this deeply inappropriate action is framed. the light behind them like a halo, the hand in which makima guides him, their positions and the obvious line of the window frame that separates them.

makima makes it so that denji idolizes her. and for reasons denji can't wrap his head around, he does and always will. makima planned that.

i think there are plenty of reasons to hate makima but her villanous actions are without a doubt impressive and well-written to the point it's alarming.

but i think the biggest crime she commits is that she, not once in the entire series, saw denji for who he was. to me, the most painful thing to watch was that reality. to realize that she didn't care about denji in her own fucked up way either but that everything was a ploy and what denji experienced in spite. for denji to cannabilize makima in the end is an immensely powerful scene, and i do hope that much later in the series denji is able to reconcile with the abuse he suffered at her hands.

she is an utterly evil person. like truly what she did is inconceivable.

all that being said, i like her as a character. it's because i like evil women in the same way plenty of people like evil and fucked up men. and because makima is MEANT to be liked. that's the whole point. that's how she got control over denji and orchestrated the chain of events that was his happiness.

because makima was kind to him. because she was beautiful and graceful and nonchalant. because she appealed to the part of denji that yearned for admiration and praise and approval. the reason makima could commit such deep atrocities is because denji likes her. every single moment that we see her from denjis eyes potrays her as beautiful and unobtainable and she does everything in her power to make sure it stays that. so that she can give denji a reason to have her.

it's that from the very beginning. she is meant to be a very beautiful poison and i think pretending you're supposed to hate her from the beginning is stupid because that's not true. maybe you, as an adult with awareness, caught onto how awful she was and you disliked her for that. that's plausible for sure.

but she's always meant to be the thing that denji reveres and fujimoto makes the clear from the very moment she comes on screen. perhaps the most sincere we see her is in the first panel in which she hugs denji but not a minute after.

hate makima all you want. but to pretend that was the intent when really we as audience are meant to feel the extent of her betrayal along side denji is silly.

Ok I have some thoughts

So Ed got slammed in the head with a fucking cannonball. I know this show doesn’t exactly rely on real life logic, like ever. I mean people get stabbed and are up and around in two days, they have no problem finding each other in a massive sea. But Ed’s been effectively dead for days, if not weeks based on the way they were eating that seagull. He’s gonna be severely dehydrated and starved from being comatose, and have major head trauma. He’s not just gonna get up, it’s a wonder he has the strength to headbutt Stede.

But severe head trauma can seriously fuck with your memory. So there’s a huge question of what version of Ed we’re gonna get: Blackbeard pre-Stede, Ed with Stede, or post-Stede. Bc those are three TOTALLY different people. I doubt we’ll get that season one fawning over Stede version of Ed, based on the headbutt and the fact that it would be a narrative step backward, but it’s still a possibility that he’ll wake up and be in love with Stede like before. But I think pre-Stede Blackbeard is as likely as having no memory loss at all.

If he does have memory loss, it begs the question of what everyone is gonna do with that. Like Stede is feeling so much guilt for what he did to Ed, and he’s learned that guilt is something you have to express and have to live with. But reminding Ed of everything they both did and went through could have Ed leave him. Stede has never been the one to take the easy route, but he loves Ed so much and has been doing the hard thing for so long, he’s gotta just be tired. He almost lost Ed several times now, he can’t risk losing him again.

Meanwhile the rest of the crew probably would love for Ed to go back to the way things were, but he’s destroyed everything they’d worked so hard for. And he and Stede are both so unwilling to think of other people or take responsibility for their actions. I really don’t think they’ll allow Ed to go on like nothing happened, at least not for long. Izzy in particular has shown himself to be very concerned with the wellbeing of the crew, and is living with this guilt of turning Ed into a monster. As much as he now misses the way things were, he can’t just ignore what Ed did.

But Lucius has been through hell and though he seemed to forgive stede idk how he could forgive ed after trying to help him so much in the finale. Though I do wonder if he really cares about ed anymore, like even in terms of wanting revenge, like what he said about ed being broken kinda feels like totally giving up and just accepting that he’s a bad person and there’s no closure to be found there. I also really wonder if he’s gonna tell Pete about what ed did, because he didn’t initially and I think it would have been mentioned if he told him when stede finally got them to talk. Pete idolized ed so much but he loves Lucius so much I really think if he finds out he’s gonna kill him. Like Lucius will be mad but I do think he’s given up on it but for Pete it’ll still be so fresh and he’ll be protective.

As for the rest of the crew, I’m not sure how they’ll react. The fact that Ed marooned them really hasn’t come up, and that makes me wonder if they’ve somewhat gotten over it? For Ed’s crew, however, everything is still fresh, and it was so much worse for them. Whether Ed is the same person or not, nobody’s gonna get over him trying to kill them all. Fang I think would love to go back to the way things were, Frenchie is currently holding everything in. The ones I’m worrying about are Jim and Archie. Archie is a wildcard, and has not experienced the compassion and love of the crew “that’s just the way these things go.” She’s cynical, and while I think Jim and the crew could soften her and we’ll learn more about her, I think right now she could go either way.

Jim however, dealt the killing blow. Jim took care of Izzy, amputates his leg, saves Archie. But they still hesitate to tell Stede what really happened. I think a lot of Jim has moved on from that revenge driven killer, at least in season one, and has softened a bit. But they’ve been raiding and plundering and killing for months. They’re brutal in the wedding scene.

Jim strikes me as very protective of the crew, in the same way as Izzy. They calm down Fang with their weird little Pinocchio, they’re the one to bring up that the wedding was overkill, they ask Frenchie how he copes. They “kill” Ed. I think it’s a real possibility that they’re gonna try to finish the job, especially if he doesn’t lose his memory. If he does, I think they’ll hesitate.

Anyway I’m so excited to see what happens, no matter what I know it’s gonna be crazy.

I'm just going to say this.

It's very sad how it's being normalized by some of you to find fault in every thing that Tim does when it comes to Lucy. It's almost like you expect a certain perfection and delicacy when it comes to her, mostly because you see and only like Tim as an extension of Lucy not as a whole character outside of the ship.

An example is with this episode how some people turned him saying "Don't tell Chen" into something negative. Here is this man on the floor—terrified and he finds it in him to make sure added stress isn't put on Lucy who is navigating a new stressful role but somehow its seen as him not thinking she's tough in enough? As if you don't have 4 seasons worth of him out loud acknowledging how strong and smart she is? As if his belief in her and respect of her isn't the reason he has treated her more like a partner instead of a subordinate?

Same thing for him not telling Lucy that Ashley broke up with him. Like if you look at this situation outside of Chenford you'd maybe sympathize with the fact that he probably didn't want to talk about it and hadn't processed someone else—yet again walking out on him and I think it was also him trying not to upset Lucy bc of course she would have been upset on his behalf.

The uproar of the car scene in the previous episode with the whole Rosaline situation was insane actually! Because Tim of all people wouldn't take Lucy's trauma lightly. But facial expressions somehow erased all the good and care and belief Tim has in Lucy? We have seasons worth of him being there for her. Even in that car, you could tell how he was silently worried about her. The insults are thrown even at Angela and Nyla—somehow that they've always been mean but look at Nyla this episode holding up the mirror for Lucy to see herself how everyone sees her.

Or how some got mad at that silly joke of a proposal to Ashley or even him asking Lucy to go to UC—which was him yet again looking at for her.

Tim is grump🤷🏾‍♀️, So maybe don't take some of his expressions too seriously—rather his actions. And don't project how you want him to react instead look at how a man like him—with his characteristics would react.

Both of them —in their fictional world are human and they won't everything correct always and we've seen Lucy unintentionally hurt Tim that's bc they are both not perfect.

I get having a favorite but This man loves Lucy. He has selflessly been there for her and helped her with her career—his need to protect her is even one of the big reasons why he might be hesitant about them being together. But he is so in love with her—he isn't ready to say it out loud because her its scary and he still doesn't think Lucy feels the same way but we've seen it in his actions time and Tim again. So idk— stop trying to find something negative where there isn't any🤷🏾‍♀️

What do you think the most important thing is that Shouto learnt from Katsuki and vica versa? What are the most important ways they impacted each other?

oh this is a hard question what the hell…

there are a lot of ways to answer & i don’t want to have to stick too close to canon bc otherwise if i know myself i’ll spend hours rewatching the whole show so i can be specific enough. so instead i’m just going to answer this in a somewhat broader characterisation sense.

shouto’s influence on katsuki is the more obvious one. it’s kind of like… katsuki seeing what he could become by way of endeavor & then learning from shouto by contrast. both endeavor & shouto are highly talented people who excel in the field of heroism, which is something katsuki admires, but by knowing shouto and his relationship w his father katsuki sees what ego and a hollow desire to be The Best Hero can lead to. and instead you have shouto who is Incredibly Good at everything but also is a good person bc he’s a perfect angel. shouto’s complete dismissal of katsuki early on (imo bc he has a lot of the same traits shouto hates) grates at him, esp when shouto takes an interest in izuku. so as plot advances katsuki keeps seeing the way shouto does things, and unlike w izuku since he actually respects shouto i think it’s a more effective learning experience for him. see the scene during remedial arc where shouto is like ‘no violence is not the way to teach kids’ and katsuki is all ‘well it worked fine for me!’ but ultimately allows the pushback. i think down the line he really starts to internalize the fact that shouto is just a Better Hero than him in the same way izuku is and that they both have a better grasp on what the point of heroism actually is. tldr what katsuki learns from shouto is that you can be The Best and still be Good, and that this is in fact the harder but more admirable thing to strive to be.

for katsuki’s influence on shouto… in the same sense that katsuki obviously learns the above from izuku too (once he gets over his raging hatred of him), there’s an overlap to what shouto learns from izuku and from katsuki. yes izuku teaches him to defrost (ha) and connect w the heart of heroism (and himself), but he also (in a connected sense) teaches him that ‘it’s your quirk, todoroki!!!!’ and that he can be passionate in his ambition, not just coldly perfectionist. on the latter point, i think katsuki is a similar influence on shouto bc he is so furiously emotive about how much he cares abt his goals. also katsuki has so much… fun with it? he takes heroism incredibly seriously but he has a blast with it bc he just thinks hes hot shit. i feel like for someone like shouto who has so much trauma associated w his quirk it’s probably quite liberating to see that attitude in his peers. and as we can see from shouto consistently taking katsuki’s attitude in stride/being amused by it later on, i think in general something about him kind of brings out the teen in shouto, as he continues to outgrow his protective shell. and i think katsuki’s own growth throughout the series is a healthy thing for shouto bc it reaffirms his new more optimistic worldview, where people can grow and learn and better themselves if they make the effort to. so in general ig katsuki feeds into shouto’s allowing himself to feel the things he feels & want the things he wants & ultimately maintain the belief in a better life/ world being within reach.

to your last point i would also say that they have impacted each other in the sense that they are each other’s friends!! and also support. like from jump bc they’re so A league in UA when there are fights they can rely on each other to handle shit, before they even like each other at all. in sooo many fights they’re holding down like half the opposition and they never need to cover each other’s bases bc they trust the other is good enough, which is i think a very underrated thing? considering the kind of high stakes death matches they’re in as teenagers, having someone around they actually trust innately is pretty significant. and then in a separate fashion they are obviously friends also! moreso later on, but if shouto thinks they are post remedial arc then i think so too. beyond how funny they are together i think in early days shouto’s calm confidence is a good counter to katsuki’s angry arrogance, and katsuki’s snarky pragmatism is a good counter to shouto’s meandering self-seriousness. & they have quite a bit in common when you think abt the rest of their peers that i think is more obvious when they’re older, like workaholic tendencies and old man hobbies and truly iconic repartee. + whereas w other people they are necessarily the most (insert protagonist trait) around, bc they’re on a similar playing field when they’re together they’re allowed to just be goofy.
