🌳 How Do I add Shade in My Backyard Fast? 🌿 Ocoee Bamboo Farm 407-777-4807
If you're looking to create some much-needed shade in your backyard quickly, one fantastic solution is to use clumping noninvasive bamboo! Not only does bamboo grow rapidly, but it also forms dense clusters, providing ample shade in a short period. Here's why you should consider using bamboo to create shaded spaces in your backyard:
1️⃣ Benefits of Bamboo:
Rapid growth: Bamboo shoots can grow several feet in just a few weeks, quickly establishing a shaded area.
Dense foliage: The thick foliage of bamboo provides excellent shade and creates a serene atmosphere.
Noninvasive clumping varieties: Choose noninvasive clumping bamboo species to prevent them from spreading uncontrollably.
2️⃣ Ideas for Activities in Your Shaded Spaces:
✨ #OutdoorLiving: Set up a cozy seating area where you can relax and unwind.
✨ #AlFrescoDining: Create an outdoor dining spot to enjoy meals with family and friends.
✨ #GardenSanctuary: Design a tranquil garden nook with bamboo as a backdrop for meditation or reading.
✨ #BackyardOasis: Build a small pond or fountain surrounded by bamboo, offering a soothing oasis.
✨ #NaturePlayground: Create a shaded space for children to play, complete with swings, a sandpit, or a treehouse.
Remember, when planting bamboo, choose noninvasive clumping varieties to avoid potential issues. Research the specific bamboo species suitable for your climate and ensure proper maintenance to keep the bamboo under control.
Embrace the beauty and functionality of clumping noninvasive bamboo in your backyard, and enjoy the fast shade it provides! 🌳☀️
It’ll be short, I told myself, like a liar. As with pretty much everything on my blog, contains heavy spoilers through the 60 DRK quest. Also minor spoilers for Ehll Tou’s custom deliveries.
Mothers and fathers are a fraught topic, for the three of them.
Late summer in the Shroud was always a busy season, with the impending harvest and associated rituals and festivals, as well as the trade caravans flocking to lay claim to the bounties of the Twelveswood. The market stalls had been crowded enough that not even hanging on to each others’ shirt hems had alleviated the threat of separation, so eventually Sidguru had waved Hanami and Rielle off, insisting he could finish his shopping faster on his own; Rielle had sniffed and declared that it would be a girls’ day, as though it was her idea in the first place, and clung stubbornly to Hanami’s hand while they retreated from the crush of the Shaded Bower to the thinner traffic of the street vendors outside. They’d kept themselves busy wandering between the workshops—Hanami had directed Rielle to a cobbler and had her fitted for new boots, since she was threatening to outgrow hers and Sid wasn’t nearby to grumble about how Hanami spent her own gil—and then they had been distracted by snacks. (Rielle was starting to eat like a black hole; she’d inhaled her own serving of lentil soup and the bread bowl it came in, and then eaten a third of Hanami’s soup, and then they’d stopped for caramel apples; Hanami bought two and held on to her own rather than eating it, waiting to hand it over once Rielle had finished hers. Knowing how much she herself could put away after a day of drawing on her own aether, and remembering how her brothers had eaten everything in sight as teenagers while they grew like bamboo shoots, she was sure Rielle would be hungry again sooner rather than later, and it was nice to see her admitting to what she needed so freely, years away from the girl who had barely been able to meet Sidguru’s eyes to ask for another apple.)
The whole time, Rielle chattered away, filling Hanami in on all she had missed while on business in Ul’dah: how she and Sidguru were settling into their new house in the Firmament (surprisingly well; not even Sid’s infamous lack of social graces had managed to ruin their neighbors’ goodwill yet); the progress of her conjury lessons (much faster, now that she wasn’t completely reliant on self-study since one of Vidofnir’s dragonets had come to stay in the city); and, of course, the arguments.
“He kept making these faces when I said I was going to visit Hautdilong,” Rielle said, pausing long enough to make a face of her own at Hanami (furrowed brows, wrinkled nose) and take another bite of her apple. “At first I thought it was because of the time Ehll Tou invited the moogles from Bahrr Lehs to visit and they made a mess of the fountain, but then he said—ugh! He said you’ve been spending a lot of time with that boy, and I said what’s that supposed to mean, and then he said is there something you need to tell me, in that voice he does when he thinks he’s being intimidating, and he’s just—he’s trying to be a dad again. It’s annoying,” Rielle finished, with a huff and a vicious glower somewhat undermined by the caramel smeared at the corner of her mouth. “I told him to leave off and he tried to ground me. Can you believe it?”
Hanami could, actually, but that clearly wasn’t what Rielle wanted to hear. Instead she said, “Hautdilong is a nice boy.”
Rielle groaned. “Not you too. He’s my friend.”
“Did I say anything else?” Maybe she was being a little mean, but she remembered being teased by her own mothers as a teenager, and Hanami wasn’t above misplaced vengeance. “I meant what I said. He is nice. And,” she added, reaching out to pluck the empty candy stick from Rielle’s hand, “I am glad to hear you are making more friends. What have you two been doing?”
It was funny, watching Rielle stare at Hanami (not up, anymore; she’d just passed her in height) and then down at her own feet, visibly debating before deciding Hanami was being sincere. “We talk about music,” she said, and her voice was subdued now. “I...I hum things, sometimes. When I’m lost in thought, or feeling very—strongly. About anything. I didn’t think it was strange until Hautdilong said he recognized one of the songs. He said he’d heard Ehll Tou singing it. I didn’t think it was real,” she said, more assertive; when she looked up again she almost seemed to be pleading. “I thought it was just a song I’d made up. But Ehll Tou said it’s an old song, from before Ratatoskr died, about a dragon taking her mortal friend flying for the first time. I don’t...I don’t really know how I know it. But it turns out I know some other old songs, too. Hautdilong and Ehll Tou and I have been figuring out how to turn them into songs that other people can play and sing, since we can’t get dragonspeak right.”
In another life, Hanami thought, she wouldn’t have understood. In a world where she hadn’t known Ysayle, who created a goddess from nothing but her own willpower, or Estinien, who traveled with a spear as a stand-in for the soul that had once been part of his own. In a world where Hanami herself couldn’t close her eyes and know the twists and turns of alleyways that had been boarded over, or the names of children dead before she had ever set foot on Eorzean soil, the knowledge carved into the undersides of her ribs, seared into her by the soul crystal that rested under her shirt, against her heart.
It would be a world where she didn’t know Rielle, anyway, so maybe the point was moot.
“Have you told Sidguru about your songs?” she asked.
Rielle ducked her head again. Her stride slowed, despite the foot traffic thinning even further as they passed the amphitheater. “No,” she admitted. “I haven’t. I don’t think he’d really understand, is all. You remember how he was the—the last time.”
Hanami did remember. Watching him try to bend over backwards to find a way that Rielle wouldn’t be a heretic had led to one of the first, and worst, fights Hanami had ever had with him. Why should he care what the church had to say, when they would condemn him to death just as swiftly for no greater crime than being born with scales? When they had already executed his family for the same, even if Hanami hadn’t known it at the time. When the only thing that kept her own neck out of the noose was the patronage of House Fortemps, back then, and the fear that weighted the words eikon-slayer. Heresy wasn’t meant to be a crime that concerned Dark Knights anyway.
He had grown much since that first disastrous trip to Gridania. So had Rielle. Hanami was willing to believe that she had grown, too, on her good days, and there were more and more of those lately. Times were ever changing, and Dark Knights changed with them.
“It is not his business,” Hanami said, finally. “But I think it would make him happy to know. And if he is an ass about it,” she added, leaning over to lower her voice to a whisper, “tell me, and I will beat the sense back into him.”
That elicited the giggle she’d hoped for, and Rielle finally slowed to a stop, ambling over to an empty bench by the theater’s gate. “I don’t know that he has much of that,” she said, drawing a snort from Hanami in turn. “I’ll think about it. I promise. Thank you.”
“Of course,” Hanami said, and took her own seat by Rielle. She relished in the chance to stretch her legs, digging her heels into the packed earth turned soft by the recent rains. “He has been better, though, yes? About listening to you?”
“He has. Or he tries,” Rielle said. “Too hard, sometimes. He’s gotten sort of overbearing. He and Fray used to leave me by myself all the time when it was the three of us, so it’s not like I can’t take care of myself.”
Rielle could take care of herself, but whether she could and whether she should were two different things. Not a talk for a day like this, though. “He worries,” Hanami said. “And I think there is a difference between leaving you alone in a house he knew was safe and letting you walk around the city by yourself.”
“You sound like him again,” Rielle muttered. “I keep telling him, he isn’t my father, he doesn’t have to act like it.”
That again. “Would it be so bad, if he was?” Hanami asked.
Rielle froze.
Mothers and fathers were not something Hanami talked about much, with Sid or Rielle. Ishgard was a breeding ground for tragedy when it came to children and their parents. She knew she was lucky—that her mothers were alive, that they loved her, that they did their best to raise her and her siblings with as much of a childhood as they were allowed—lucky that she’d had a childhood. Sidguru hadn’t had one, Hanami was almost sure. And his fumbling attempts to give a better one to Rielle were made all the more difficult by how terrible hers had been.
They had all grown so much, but in moments like this, when the shade of the little girl who cried at the sight of the sky resurfaced, Hanami wished she could turn back the clock long enough to make Ystride Caulignont’s death much, much slower.
“I think it would,” Rielle finally said, her voice reed-thin. “I still...I remember my father. How he used to play with me, and kiss me and my mother goodnight, and...but now when I think of him the first thing I see is his claws. He really—” Rielle swallowed, and blinked, and swayed in her seat a little, toward Hanami’s shoulder and away again. “He wanted us dead. And my mother, she…”
Rielle trailed off totally, and finally leaned over again. Hanami reached out her own arm just enough to brace her hand on Rielle’s back.
“I remember them so clearly,” she said. “And I don’t want to forget. I won’t forgive them, but I can’t forget what they did to me, because I can’t let anything like that happen again. They’ll always be what I think of, when I hear ‘mother’ and ‘father.’ I don’t want a mother or a father anymore.”
Hanami waited, her hand as steady as she could make it, while Rielle took a slow, shuddering breath.
“But if I did,” she finally said.
The statement hung there, an outline of a promise, and when Hanami blinked she found her own vision was blurry.
“Come here,” she said, voice rough, and though Rielle had grown she wasn’t yet so tall that she couldn’t lean against Hanami’s shoulder. This sweet, unbearably brave girl. What an honor to know her.
These were the sweetest memories that lingered in her bones, the ones of singing Rielle to sleep, of wrapping her in blankets and bearing her out into the cold to watch the stars, to name the constellations for her and watch her conjure her first breeze and teach her to brew tea and darn socks and hold her chin high even when it trembled. The clearest picture Hanami ever had of Fray as they had been in life was when they were filled by their most ferocious love. The remains of Fray’s flame.
Maybe the memories were so clear because of that feeling. So much of a Dark Knight’s power fed from emotions, after all. It made sense that the resonance would make it easy.
None of that mattered today, though. Instead Hanami only focused on blinking her eyes dry, and holding Rielle until her breathing slowed and she sat up again, rubbing her eyelids.
“Thank you,” Rielle said again.
“Stop being ridiculous,” Hanami muttered, and—because Rielle was tall, but not that tall, not yet—reached out to ruffle her hair. She had to be mindful of the caramel apple still in her hand when Rielle reached out to swat her away, laughing, and finally Rielle took notice.
“You haven’t eaten yours,” she said.
“Mm. Too sweet for me. You should have it,” Hanami told her, and held it out in offer.
Rielle took it, though not without grumbling, “I know what you’re doing. You don’t like sweets.”
“There is an old saying, wisdom passed down through my family for years beyond knowing,” Hanami said. “Do not be rude to the one who gives you free food.”
Eventually Sidguru found them like that, snickering while Rielle wiped the last smudges of caramel from her chin, and narrowed his eyes while he shifted his burden in the crate in his arms. “There you two are,” he said. “Are you done? I haven’t got all day, and this is heavy enough without needing to drag you both along.”
“You’re the one who said you didn’t want help shopping,” Rielle said.
Hanami said, “I could carry those in one hand.”
Sidguru rolled his eyes to the heavens, pleading, while Hanami stood and took the bundle of groceries from him—heavier than it looked, but still not that heavy. She made sure to make a show of balancing the crate on her shoulder, Rielle snickering behind her the whole way.

[Taking A Risk]
Warm light reflects off the vintage crystal chandelier, casting fine shadows on the wall.
I returned to my room the next day. The service of storing Evol seemed to require a special number to be called.
I looked at the introduction in the hotel guide and dialed the number written on it.
Waiter: Hello, what can I do for you?
MC: Ahem, hello, I want to enjoy the service of storing Evol. How do I do it?
Waiter: What is your Evol type?
MC: ….My Evol deals with memory.
Waiter: Okay, the information has been registered for you.
Waiter: Please wait in the room for a moment. We will send a dedicated service staff to serve you.
I put down the phone and looked at Helios standing to the side with a worried look.
Helios: Now, we wait.
However, a few hours passed and there was still no sign of movement.
I leaned on the soft pillow a little nervously, looked towards the cabinet opposite me, and spoke quietly.
MC: …Helios, are you asleep?
After a while, a questioning sound came from the cabinet.
Helios: I’m asleep.
Hearing what he said, I couldn’t help but smile.
MC: Then Mr. Sleep Talker, shouldn’t you open the cabinet door a little bit to let some air out?
MC: Besides, this room has been checked and there’s no monitor, so you don’t have to hide so soon.
The air fell silent again and soon the cabinet door creaked to reveal a gap.
The light outside the door instantly spilled in, making those azure blue eyes clearer.
I lowered my head and looked at the closet. The space inside was really small. He could only sit down on the wooden board with his legs bent and his knees pressed to his chest.
Such a well-behaved sitting position matched with that expression.
I snickered in my heart and rested my head on my hand.
MC: After we leave this place, shall we go on a walk together and bask in the sun?
Helios: ….
The cabinet door became quiet again and occasionally I could hear shallow breathing.
I was about to change the subject when the doorbell suddenly rang.
Almost instantly, the faint beam of light from the cabinet door disappeared once more.
??: Dear guest, the service you requested has been processed.
??: If you’re ready, please press the button inside the handle.
MC: Okay.
I walked past the closet and knocked lightly with my fingertips. I went to the door and bent down.
With his reminder, I noticed that there was an extremely tiny button on the deep side of the handle.
MC: …This is too secretive.
The moment the button was pressed, the side wall suddenly pushed back and slowly pulled away to the left.
A waiter stood behind the hidden door and politely bowed.
Waiter: Pardon me.
MC: …Don’t you think this is a bit scary?
Waiter: In order to ensure the privacy of each guest, I am sorry that it has brought you a bad experience. We will make better improvements next time.
MC: …..
Waiter: Please follow me.
I walked into the secret door with no expression on my face. Then, I turned a corner into a deep corridor and I secretly felt that it was no wonder that Helios couldn’t find it.
This is too well hidden.
We walked into the elevator and the waiter pressed the only button on the panel.
The elevator shook slightly. The waiter frowned and looked up.
I vaguely guessed the reason for the elevator shaking so I spoke up. ***Is Helios gonna take a ride on top of the elevator??? So badass!!!***
MC: What’s the matter?
Waiter: Ah, I’m apologize for making you feel anxious.
Waiter: This elevator doesn’t normally shake.
MC: Probably your imagination? This elevator feels very stable to me. ***MC is getting better at her acting skills 😆***
The waiter nodded and faced the elevator door again.
The ride took longer than expected and it took about a minute before the elevator slowly came to a stop.
After we walked another long corridor, we finally stopped in front of a wooden door. The waiter knocked gently on the door before pushing it away, turned around and made an inviting gesture with his hand to me.
I walked in and found that it was just an extremely normal room. There was nothing around that indicated a device to store Evol.
At the table in the middle of the room was a man who looked seventy or eighty years old, and behind him stood a very burly man.
The elderly man was very old. His thick eyelids were pulled down low, almost covering both eyes.
He raised his eyes laboriously, reached out his fingers and tapped on the table, motioning me to sit down.
I sat in front of the old man. My other hand quietly touched the anesthesia gun at my waist.
Old man: Extend your hand.
MC: Before I do that, can you tell me the process of how Evol is stored first?
MC: Even though I requested the service, I also have the right to ask how it works.
The old man didn’t speak as if he was about to fall asleep.
Man: Guest, your hand is part of the process.
The man behind him replied in a low voice and walked to my side with a sense of unspeakable oppression.
MC: …
Man: Guest, is there a problem?
??: The problem is you.
An intense silver light appeared behind the man like a ghost and the chilling light made those blue eyes look even colder.
Almost instantaneously, his question was interrupted by the sound of broken bones in the air.
The swift figure resembled a crescent silver moon, leaving traces like a shadow.
The man was unresponsive as if he didn’t care about his slightly twisted arm. A silver pillar made iron steel condensed in the palm of his hand and he swung it at Helios.
Helios pulled out two handles from behind his waist. The knife blades clashed against the silver pillar, making a harsh rubbing sound.
At the same time, I immediately grabbed the stiff and somewhat lethargic old man and hid off to the side.
This old man is definitely a certain key and we can’t let him get injured here.
I can’t help much at this time but at least I won’t hinder Helios.
A look of surprise flashed in the man’s eyes. After thinking for a bit, he waved his hand and countless small, silver needles appeared in the air, shooting them straight at Helios.
Only the silver light is no longer there.
In the moment of confusion, Helios had already appeared behind him. The cold knife reflecting the man’s terrified eyes.
Helios: Fool.
There was not even a scream but a faint voice came.
Helios held the dagger and walked towards the old man with a blank face, covering most of the light in the room, looking at him condescendingly.
Helios: I don’t have time for nonsense.
Helios: Who are you?
[Little Star]
The old man shivered at the figure shining in the cold light, breathless with fear.
Old man: Don’t kill me. I, I was threatened….
He opened his mouth blankly, ready to say something.
All of a sudden, the air around him instantly became distorted, gradually swallowing his body and began to dissipate like a bubble.
In the middle of disappearing, the old man tried hard to hold onto Helios’ hand.
But it only passed through his body.
Old man: Please, you….must help me….
In the silent room, there was only a trembling echo, as if the old man was never there.
I stared blankly at what was happening, a bit in disbelief.
MC: Helios, he’s…
Helios: Leave here first.
As he said that, he stretched out his hand to pull me.
Suddenly, the floor under our feet began to shake, and an inexplicable sense of dizziness filled my entire brain which caused me to lean back.
Helios: MC!
A black line ran across us suddenly like a crack. I stretched out my hand and in my peripheral vision, I saw Helios preparing to jump—
In the next second, the entire space seemed to rotate violently and the huge inertia forced me to slam into the wall on my right.
The scenery in front of me is like a pop-up book that has been quickly flipped through, continuously changing and becoming blurry.
I curled up in pain. The heavy pain constantly eroding my willpower.
MC: Helios…
I feel like I lost consciousness.
Under the night sky, in the center of the fountain with exquisite patterns, water gushed out of the nozzle from the statue.
A man was sitting on a recliner by the fountain, looking at a Rubik’s Cube suspended diagonally in the air.
He raised his head, staring alertly at the old man sitting on the ground.
??: You’re really going to cause trouble for me.
While he said this, the man’s eyes flashed with excitement and madness, his fingers shaking.
The Rubik’s Cube began to flicker with strange lights and flipped over.
??: But I also see that he’s been quite the eyesore for a long time. I can finally crush him now, right?
Helios: ….
Helios: ….MC.
Helios: Kilo, display location.
Amongst the chaos, I vaguely heard an extremely anxious and nervous voice reach my ears.
Helios: Damn it.
Helios: MC!! Can you hear me?!
I opened my eyes slowly and my body felt like it was falling apart. I wanted to lift my right arm to prop myself up, but immediately felt the sharp pain.
The scene in front me seemed to be split with half of it that was the room I was previously in and the other half a dense bamboo forest.
MC: ….I can hear you.
As soon as I made a sound, the rapid breathing in my ear seemed to stop for a moment.
Helios: Are you hurt anywhere?
I smiled bitterly, pulled myself and sat in a corner, trying hard to stand up.
MC: It seems that I hit arm when I crashed into the wall.
Although it was very painful that I wanted to cry, I managed to make my voice not sound so weak.
Helios: …Does it hurt?
His voice was very soft, with some far-off and familiar tenderness in it, making my nose tingle instantly.
For a while, I was a little confused, either from the intense pain or the softness that I hadn’t heard for a long time.
***If you choose the top answer: “It hurts”***
MC: ….It hurts.
MC: *sniffles*….It really hurts.
I couldn’t hold back the emotions surging in my heart and the grievances I had suppressed also came pouring out.
Helios: …Don’t cry.
I rarely heard his voice sound so flustered. It sounds just like the bewildered boy in my memory.
***If you choose the bottom answer: “It doesn’t hurt”***
MC: I’m fine. It doesn’t hurt at all.
I was full of vigor and laughed, holding my arm. Gritting my teeth, tears came from my eyes unconsciously.
MC: What about you? Are you okay...?
Helios: MC.
On the other side of the line, Helios interrupted me smoothly.
Helios: The sound of your tears falling on the ground is loud.
I blinked, pressed my mouth, and vigorously wiped the tears with the back of my hand.
MC: How can that be...
A soft laugh came to my ears, like a feather, warming my heart.
Helios: I will be by your side soon so don’t cry.
MC: Then sing to me and I’ll stop.
Helios: ….
As soon as I spoke, I heard the sound of heavy objects rolling along the ground.
The sound of the wind kept passing by and Helios seemed to be running quickly, with a slight gasp from time to time.
My heart lurched suddenly and I felt a bad premonition rise up.
MC: What happened to you…..? Are you in some dangerous space again?
After a moment of silence, Helios replied with an answer that was completely irrelevant to my question.
Helios: What do want to hear me sing?
I was stunned. The whistling sound in my ear continued.
MC: It doesn’t matter. You must ensure your safety first!
Helios: How about “Little Star” (aka “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star)?
MC: ….
The sound of the heavy objects rolling was getting closer and closer in my ears as if they wanted to run him over.
In the huge roar, a leisurely singing voice rang in my ears.
Helios: Twinkle twinkle, little star….
Helios: How I wonder what you are.
Those loud noises seemed to be shielded by a transparent film and only his faint singing voice remained in the whole world.
Gentle and firm.
His singing was mixed with rapid breaths and at this moment, it was like a soft embrace that enveloped me in it.
When the last melody descended softly, the chilling sound of a dagger being thrown ended the roar altogether and the world fell silent.
Helios: Don’t cry anymore.
His uncertain questions made me rub my eyes dumbfoundedly.
MC: Amazing, it doesn’t hurt anymore.
A soft laugh came from my ear and I seemed to be able to imagine his helpless smile.
MC: Helios, where do I go?
Helios: You’re injured so stay where you are.
MC: My hand is fine! Although I still don’t understand the operating structure of this space….
MC: But if we both head in the same direction, it will definitely be quicker!
Helios: ….
MC: Let’s go together.
I straightened up, looked at the door I front of me and said firmly to him.
The silent sound of running and the “whoosh” of a knife blade rushed into my ears. I quietly waited for his response.
Helios: Alright.
Helios: Let’s do it.
He let out a long sigh of relief, without saying a word, as if looking for our next route.
Helios: Open the door behind you.
Helios: Walk slowly.
MC: Roger!
I held out my arm and opened the door without hesitation in accordance with his instructions and strode inside.
I looked around and found myself standing on the stairs of an abandoned building. His voice immediately came to my ears.
Helios: Go up and push open the door on the top floor.
I turned and moved precisely according to his directions.
Obviously we are far apart from each other, but he knows where I am at this moment. It felt like he was right beside me.
I opened the door and was greeted by the bright sun shining in my eyes.
Taking a look, I found myself standing on the roof of a bell tower.
Helios: Grab hold of something. The Rubik’s Cube is about to turn.
I reacted instinctively and immediately grabbed a heavy rope after hearing his words.
Right afterwards, the familiar feeling of inversion came and I closed my eyes and held onto the rope tightly, waiting for the rotation to stop.
Soon the world returned back to normal. I opened my eyes and found that the scene in front of me hadn’t changed much.
***THIS IS SO INSANE AND I LOVE IT!!!***
Helios: Is your arm okay?
MC: No worries!
He was quiet for a while as if deciding on something.
Helios: MC, jump down.
I couldn’t help being startled, moving my feet and looking down.
The bell tower extends into the clouds. Thick clouds hang in the air and the howling wind beats against me, constantly reminding me of how high the bell tower is.
Breathing deeply, I climbed to the edge of the clock tower.
Helios: You can also wait for me to come see you.
He seemed to guess what I was thinking and his tone was softer than before.
MC: It’s no good if only one person is doing all the running.
After speaking, I took a deep breath and jumped.
The light, shadow and wind rushed past my ears, but I didn’t have the slightest timidness in my heart.
Because I know that this can get me a little bit closer to him. ***YES!!! THAT’S MY GIRL!!! GO TO YOUR MAN!!!😭😭😭 KIRO AND MC RUNNING TOWARDS EACH OTHER HENCE THE REASON WHY THE KARMA IS CALLED “RUN TO YOU” 🥺🥺🥺💕💕💕
As I continued to fall, the space on the ground became distorted again until finally forming a door.
On the other end of the gate is a net woven with countless colorful soft bands which safely stopped my fall.
I steadied my heartbeat and looked up to find that this was a trampoline.
Sponges of different shapes were staggered and stacked and there was a door on the diving platform directly above.
MC: Helios, there’s a door on the platform not far away. Should I go there?
Helios: MC, go…
His voice became sporadic until a harsh electric static rang out and then nothing.
MC: Helios….?
I called his name but I didn’t hear any response.
MC: Did the communication get interrupted?
I looked at the door in the distance, thinking about what Helios didn’t finish saying.
Does he want me to go there? Or does he want me to choose another door?
I pursed my mouth, looked around, and found that there were several identical doors in the distance.
I hesitated and finally my eyes came back to the door on the diving platform.
Inexplicable intuition told me that he wanted me to go through this door.
MC: Take a gamble.
I stood up, climbed onto the platform, and grabbed the upper door handle—
Then, I was met by an endless stream of cars whizzing past me.
[End of Part 3]
This chapter is crazy!!! So much excitement, action, and sweet moments between Kiro and MC!!! My heart!!!🥺💕
Ballpoint Pen Day - It recognizes the useful writing utensil and commemorates the anniversary of the patent filing on June 10, 1943. Before 1943, anyone who wanted to write a letter or scribble some notes on a piece of paper used a fountain pen or pencil. Now the dominant writing instrument, the ballpoint pen was originally conceived and developed as a cleaner and more reliable alternative to the quill and fountain pens. In earlier years, many attempts by inventors led to failed patents as their inventions did not deliver the ink evenly. They also had overflow and clogging issues. However, in June of 1943, the brothers Laszlo and Gyorgy Biro obtained their patent for the ballpoint pen, revolutionizing how many write letters and conduct business.
Black Cow Day - It recognizes an ice cream float beverage also known as a Root Beer Float. That’s right, the beverage made with rootbeer and vanilla ice cream was also called a Black Cow. It was originally made with vanilla ice cream but sometimes it’s made with chocolate ice cream or even plain cola flavor. Frank J. Wisner of Cripple Creek, Colorado, gets the credit for inventing the Black Cow way back in August of 1893.
Egg Roll Day - The egg roll began as a Chinese-American tradition that extended to Vietnamese immigrants reaching for the American Dream. These traditions grew from the unfailing dedication of families in chop suey palaces serving hungry workers. Restaurants across the country perfected their own versions of the egg roll with a variety of finely chopped ingredients – pork, shrimp, cabbage, onions, bamboo shoots, water chestnuts and seasonings. And it was all rolled up in a thin pastry wrap and deep-fried.
Farm Workers Day - A day to celebrate and be grateful for all the hard work that farmers do to keep fresh food coming. Vegetables, meat, herbs – the staples of your grocery bag all started out on a farm. It’s sometimes hard for us to remember how lucky we are to have access to fresh produce, and we are somewhat disconnected from the roots – literally – of our food when we see it all packaged up in the supermarkets. On Farm Workers Day, we are reminded to thank farmers for making it all possible.
Herbs And Spices Day - Herbs and spices have been used for many hundreds of years, and besides making our food delicious, each has its specific health benefits. Growing your own herbs and spices is a great way to add fresh variety to your food. Herbs raised in your home add an aromatic and natural fragrance to the air as well.
Iced Tea Day - Recipes for iced tea have been found dating back to the 1870s. The Buckeye Cookbook, published in 1876, and Housekeeping in Old Virginia, published in 1877, both contain iced tea recipes. It is believed, however, that iced tea started to appear in the United States in the 1860s and became widespread in the 1870s. During that time, hotels offered iced tea on their menus and railroad stations offered the beverage as well. In 1904, the beverage was introduced at the World’s Fair in St. Louis causing its popularity to explode.
Jerky Day - Jerky is essentially what happens when lean meat is put through the special process of soaking it in brine (salty water), and leaving it to dry under specific circumstances. The origin of the word “jerky” would be most surprising to many people, as it is from the Quechua word ch’arki. The Quechua are a family of people who live in the Andes mountains of South America, which may be where the ideas for making jerky were first developed. The process of creating jerky ensures that the bacteria will have insufficient time to form before the meat is properly dried, preserving it in a healthy, tasty manner. It usually involves using very thinly sliced meat as it dries better and faster.
i have a bunch of diys i want to get rid of, feel free to shoot me a message if you want any :^)
i do have a wishlist here and would greatly appreciate any of those items in exchange, but if you don’t have any of them it’s ok i can still get you the diy
Arcanist: nonverbal for a god. He is seen as a keeper of secrets and a protector of the weak. Dragons suffering stagnant magical growth or magic induced mutations pray to him for relief and understanding
Earthshaker: definitely dad material. He disguises himself as a snapper to walk and talk with his own children. To feel closer to them and understand them better. Dragons starting families will pray to him for guidance. His shrines are made of clay and opal
Gladekeeper: she changes with the seasons, her body grows a strange fruit hardly seen ever but it is richly juicy and very sweet with a tart undertone. The colors arent consistent but this fruit can cure most physical ailments. Her shrines are often made of living wood or bonsai sculptures. Others are mossy stones and vast public gardens
Plaguebringer: despite her rotten and twisted appearance she maintains her body well. Her organ system is flipped (heart on the right side instead of the left type deal) and she can smell emotions much like a service animal could. Dragons in mourning often pray to her for strength and resilience in their time of need
Stormcatcher: he doesn’t let it rain, all the storms are dry and high voltage. When it does rain its seen as a reward for a job well done. If the clouds part and the sun or stars shine its seen as a good omen, eggs hatched during storms or clear skies are seen as blessed. His shrines are glass made from lightning striking the sands
Shadowbinder: keeps tabs on the other dieties, her dragons apart of other clans and flights will offer info and secrets up along with their prayers. She probably disguses herself as a member of the beastclans to learn even more about the world she watches. The war between dragons and beastclans saddens her
Lightweaver: though she is a god of light dragons of all elements will pray to her for understanding and clarity when they are lost or confused. Offerings of gold and glass are common but dragons of other elements leave gemstones in colors that correspond to their flight/element her shrines look like stained glass mosaics and sometimes the statue/idol of her will move in times of importance and great change
Tidelord: actively pulls at the currents of reality to offer up his prophetic visions. Rather than solid blue he is, in reality, iridescent. His scales ripple and shimmer like the waters he controls. Dragons pray to him for understanding. Offerings to him are usually sentimental items and well polished sea stones. His shrines are flowing fountains with offeeing basins in the side. The idol of him weeps
Windsinger: smells like tea and salt, his shrines are adorned in small trinkets like rings and necklaces. Dragons pray to him for energy and lasting friendship. Beastclans pray to him for better clan relations and draconic understanding. His shrines are jade or marble carvings or small bamboo carved charms dragons wear on them. His shrines are often found on well traveled roads and he often walks and talks among dragonkind in places like bars and taverns and inns. Places he visits will see great profit and fertility in crops.
Icewarden: a quiet god, dragons pray to him during harsh travels. He visits his followers during the night. Usually as a small furred creature or as a tundra passing through. Dragons also pray to him when other dragons or items have been lost and his shrines are made of bones found in the snow and ice, held together by sinew and dried plant matter. Bonfires are kept in ice clans to honor him and welcome dragons lost on the tundras
Flamecaller: celebrated during summers. Dragons often pray to her if they are metalworkers of any sort. Her shrines are typically carved from volcanic stone or cast from raw iron. Dragons pray to her for strong marriages and hatchlings. The fabled firebirds are her in disguse. Dragons that see comets or shooting stars in her domain believe it is her flying high overhead
Normal game of Garden Ops: sticks to the garden, heals everything I can, reserved and hesitant, gets maybe 20 kills directly Garden Ops on pure spiteful anger: hunts down zombies at their spawn point, doesn't stop shooting until all the ones in front of me are dead or I am, no fear, still heals. 70+ kills.

I made a list of all of my DIY recipes under the cut, excluding non-golden tools and garbage recipes (since those are automatically obtained when you get the materials). I also didn’t type out all of the egg outfits. I will update this as I obtain more recipes.
I was going to just keep this as a reference for when I open my island to say “go here to see what I can craft,” but you know what? I’ll go ahead and put this in the tags. If you need something crafted, feel free to message me. Must provide all materials, though, because I do not want to figure out pricing for all of this.
I’m compiling this list for future playthroughs or for anyone who might need it! I’m not including tools at this time. I’ll update as I get more! If you see any mistakes or want to add, please send me an ask!
EDIT: Due to length, this is now under a readmore!
