it's okay! when you're done drawing cirque you'll come up with a whole other idea! even if you don't and you DO keep drawing cirque that's okay too if it makes you happy! never forget that this comic and probably every other comic started as just a whim of one character
Thanks for the encouragement! 🙏🏾🥹

what about the future designs do you not like specifically? I think they look really nice, especially when claudette has a mime pattern skirt to really compliment her yellow jacket! do they just not "fit" the characters quite yet? maybe her jacket can have bright red polka dots!
Thanks!
mmm, I think it's mostly Charlie. I'm never satisfied with his future designs. He kind of just ends up looking like Kingston with curlier hair.
I also generally don't think about what the Cirque characters would be doing beyond this first year of them ruling, which is the comic, so I'm like, wait no, you're not supposed to be older than this even though it's been 8 years and I'm now the same age as Kingston and Penelope. Time just keeps happening. 😨

I remember a long time ago you answered an ask about which characters would have kids, right? It just occurred to me that there wouldn't be any direct descendants from Quinn's line. So... Who'd become the next clown king/queen after Charlie and Claudette?
They're referencing this post
I'm sure Claudette and her future wife could find a way to have their own baby or adopt one.
Or they'd just pass the crown down to Red.
(Charlie has never been interested in being a parent.)

This was meant for Siblings Day but I was busy that day.
Here's Rich but Neglected adult siblings: Terminal Eldest Daughter Syndrome and her baby brother, Abandonment Issues!
Inspired by @localoceanqueer's tags on another drawing:

you know, I love queen grandma not because I particularly like her, but you very eloquently wrote a flawed character with her own biases who tried her best in a very shitty situation. you rock!!
Thank you!
Queen Louise...tries her best.
Louise was chosen to marry the then prince and was very excited to be queen, even if her betrothed didn't seem all that interested in her...
But she tried to make the best of it. She listened to her advisors, in-laws, and professionals, like a good queen consort is supposed to.
(tbf, neither Louise or George knew what to do about Quinn, they just took 'experts' advice.)
Louise loves her children and grandchildren and tries to be there for them the best she can, but she still has old school ideas and tendencies.
She was inspired by a lot of older people I grew up around. My grandmother, for example, was so kind and funny and was (usually) willing to learn to new things, but...she was kinda sexist and very colorist. Like, she believed that dark skinned people were evil (my family is all black).
People are complicated.

Episode 10: The King's Monster pt. 35
The boys discover their true calling: being annoying together for attention
fyi: There won't be an update next week, so that I can work on the comic backlog. For some reason, these 'storybook' pages take longer than regular pages to draw so it's running low. :/
Thanks for reading!

Nah, little Fred just learned to sew and made a blanket out of stable boy's sweat-stained shirts that he never washed. Normal kid stuff.
Y’know. Now that we know Will and Fred were conjoined for all of their childhood, it makes the fact that Fred would steal that one Stablehand’s shirts kinda impressive.
After all, every heist was a joint operation, wether Fred wanted it to be or not.
omv, even I forgot about that
(ah! It's hideous!)
I'm sure the boys didn't mind doing joint heists or pranks.

Happy World Autism Day!
It's World Autism Day and Autism Acceptance month
Here's Quinn and Claudette watching an episode of Magical Girl Swamp Princess while Claudette recites fun facts about Swamp Princess lore and behind the scenes trivia.
This is a redraw the autism day drawing from 2018:

Oh mmy! 😭 Puberty must've been really awkward for the pair..! Poor kids
Indeed it was...for everyone...
(also before anyone asks: I know irl conjoined twins can't be fraternal. chalk it up to creative license)
