"I always get brass and bronze mixed up" I said in the tags of the last one. While mislabeling the dragon. lol.
On the left, Brass Dragon! It's a metallic dragon, so adults are roughly in the 20-80 foot (6-24 m) range, and can shapeshift. Love the beach and swimming, barter for treasure instead of plundering, and are always up for a challenge. Even have Fus-Ro-Dah breath, if getting thrown 60 feet piques your interest!
On the right is the Balor! A 12 foot tall (3.7 m) demon and quite blatantly a balrog. One of the strongest things in the Abyss, "They are passion and reason combined, a lightning dance of pure hatred and emotion unchained." They're incredibly intelligent and charismatic, but most strive to release all thier emotion of every kind in the fullest way possible. From self loathing to rage to euphoria.

Me, making a transgirl pilot who’s the equivalent of a sopping wet puppy abandoned on the side of the road: Ah yes, let’s give her a Ghidorah Balor to have fun with. As a treat. She’s a good girl.

Milo and Balor's first meeting! Balor had every intention of killing Milo for witnessing one of his deals, but was impressed by their immediate "lick my ass" response to his threats, and decided to not only spare them, but stick around.

hmmm...artillery balor...
I could tell you about how completely unsuited the Balor is to this task, but you know what? Fuck it. Okay. Remember: you asked for this.
-- HORUS Balor @ LL6 -- [ LICENSES ] HORUS Balor 2, HA Barbarossa 3, SSC Metalmark 1 [ CORE BONUSES ] Auto-Stabilizing Hardpoints, Superior by Design [ TALENTS ] Leader 3, Siege Specialist 3, Engineer 3 [ STATS ] HULL:2 AGI:2 SYS:0 ENGI:4 STRUCTURE:4 HP:21 ARMOR:0 STRESS:4 HEATCAP:10 REPAIR:5 TECH ATK:+1 LIMITED:+2 SPD:4 EVA:8 EDEF:10 SENSE:5 SAVE:13 [ WEAPONS ] Integrated: Prototype Weapon III MAIN MOUNT: SUPERHEAVY WEAPON BRACING HEAVY MOUNT: Siege Cannon (Nanocomposite Adaptation) // Auto-Stabilizing Hardpoints [ SYSTEMS ] Hive Drone, Personalizations, Armament Redundancy, Reactive Weave, Type-3 Projected Shield
I call this One Trick Man.
You pick a target you don't want to deal with today and hit them with Type-3 Projected Shield. You pick a firing position out of line of sight of your enemies, preferably with hard cover, and put down your Hive Drone. You wait until your second turn.
At the start of your second turn, you observe the state of the battlefield from your artillery nest. If there's a large cluster of enemies, you fire the Siege Cannon in Siege Mode, and if there's just one target you particularly want obliterated, you use Direct Fire Mode.
You never worry about cover or even line of sight because your Siege Cannon has Nanocomposite Adaptation, meaning that as long as the shell has some path onto target it will always get there, and with Auto-Stabilizing Hardpoints your shots will rarely miss. If you use Siege Mode, you'll have to Stabilize next turn to reload it, but that'll also clear your heat so it's fine. If you use Direct Fire Mode, you can just do the exact same thing again for several turns before you need to stabilize.
Literally everything else about this mech is a contingency to stop you from losing your Siege Cannon. We have Armament Redundancy to let you ignore the first weapon loss. We have Reactive Weave to make you invisible if you need to brace. We have Hive Drone to make you harder to hit. We have Type-3 Projected Shield if an enemy ever gets within visual range of you. You have 21 HP and regenerate 5 every time you take a turn.
And, in your darkest hour, if ever there comes a situation in which you cannot use the Siege Cannon, you have the Engineer Prototype III, which can still deal damage in an area and be accurate about it.
Congratulations. You will spend the rest of your piloting career like a washed-up Tory: lurking in the backbenches, hurling abuse at people you've never even seen.

When I was first building my Balor in Lancer, a big thing I was contending with was HOW SLOW THESE BEES ARE. Balors are so dang slow, but I was really struggling with fitting movement into my build because it disrupted many of my other plans.
Then my good good friend, our medic character's player, defended from the heavens with a note that said "I'm running Lancaster" and freed me from my worries so I could focus on being a big painful bee-ful lump of awful. Thank space mech God for Lancasters and the permanent umbilical cord that is the winch system. I point on the map and say "mother I wish to play with them over there" and she says "buckle up baby bee boy" AND LAUNCHES ME 7-8 HEXES ACROSS THE MAP YIPPEE.
But that's not all. My good friend and I came to a realization, after she picked up Fomorian, that we could give back to our community. Through the power of Houseguard 2 and Bonded 1, so long as we are winched together we give each other +2 to our saves and checks and are a max 11 hex wall of hard cover. Needless to say our Calliban, tiny fierce son, will never be messed with. No bullying allowed.

The drow version of a centaur! Btw, if we assume that old lore stays true unless refuted, we actually do know which half has the spicy anatomy! Neither, when Lolth makes them she very specifically makes sure they can't reproduce. Oh well, doubt that's gonna stop anyone. They're also venomous and drink blood! EDIT: Oh, and apparently some are able to spin webs, about 50%

There is a forest you know. People go missing in those woods, but years after their disappearance, their voices hiss through the underbrush still, coaxing, whispering, singing. The loved ones of the lost chase their beloveds' voices into the trees, only to be themselves taken. Survivors gasp and rave of a hulking giant coalescing out of the forest's everpresent fog, its one luminous eye emitting a mockery of moonlight.
The mist that undulates softly between the tree trunks, sinuous and pale like a living thing, is not mist. The delicate spores that fall from its mushroom gills are not merely spores. The shapes of humanoid mouths and hands occasionally emerge from the greywash, grasping at thin air, as if still clawing to escape.
The more biomatter it claims, the wider the mist spreads, blanketing the land and endlessly mimicking its victims' final words.
--
["They all tell me he's dead, but he's still in the forest there, somewhere. I know it. He sings to me. It's so bright in there, he says, so bright in the moonlight."]
--
Wild Balors are among the most dangerous and difficult to neutralize of rogue mechs, assimilating large amounts of sapient biomatter and claiming wide swathes of territory with their nanite clouds. Sometimes, single large Balor models will spawn smaller Hecatoncheires out of unconsumed corpses in the area, which serve as their drones and workers. Such hive configurations are theorized to be unified, self-perpetuating superintelligences.
Though Balors, like all HORUS pattern groups, possess some intelligence of their own, those left pilotless in the wild often become animalistic and instinct-driven. They assimilate the base intellect of humanoids they consume and demonstrate limited retention of victim memories, but their base and ultimate impulse appears only to be propagating their greywash.
