Following some half decent advice in an attempt not to go unnoticed… Hi. Not a bot. A bird app refugee who surprisingly has found far more niche here than I was expecting to find. Very glad for it.

Writer by trade. So most of what I’ve been doing here is finding all kinds of prompts. That have also led me to new artists to follow and I’m loving it.

Usually realistic fiction leaning towards supernatural/paranormal. But recently decided to try some form of high fantasy based on the fact that it’s not as different as I made it out to be in my head.

Anonymity is a little bit still my friend, being from OG (circa 2011ish) anon twitter. I miss how those days used to be a the community we used to have. Always opened to new friends, especially writer friends since I don’t have any. Only started sharing my work when I went away to college, but I’ve technically been writing since second grade. I’m just one of the ones who has the hardest time (audhd) with sticking to a concept.

My most recent works as of the end of 2023, are a mafia styled gangster romance based at the end of the world, with inspiration stemming directly from Gangs of London, simply for the missed mark in my opinion. Which is how all of my writings have been since the dawn of time. I’m a big ‘fix it’ writer without knowing that’s the name for it. It used to be writing characters back to life, but now it’s taking scenes that should’ve gone further and resculpting a whole new story with a totally different plot based off of wasting a setting or terrible writing.

In the realm of high fantasy, I’ve been toying around with a 3-identity monster romance. I still haven’t totally figured it out because it’s not how I write. But it flows in my head, if I can ever find a jumping off point. It has a lot to do with a demon who ate the heart of a woman sent into the woods to die. It will eventually have howl’s moving castle vibes for the sake of high fantasy and baba yaga mythos.

Aside from all of that, I’m a 28 yo dog mom with a slew of neurodivergence who was a child left behind for sure. Just pushed through the system. US based on the east coast. College grad without the ability to use it. Although, I technically use the English half of my degree every single day with my writing. I’m a Google docs writer, since that’s important. I used to be handwriting but I lose papers a lot and I waste whole notebooks with only two pages written in. I have a hard time going back to work when I’ve walked away from it. So, I often purge it. But I should recycle it to someone else, if that’s a possibility. I also get anxious about posting here because it’s desolate sometimes. I’m not sure where I fit into it all but I’m trying to map it out.

I used to think I had to create a perfectly curated blog with a super specific niche. Now I realize that’s ridiculous, my blog can be as delightfully eccentric as I am. I just need a place to anonymously yell into the void without worrying about how it’ll affect my relationships with my more conservative family members. And a place to share dumb humor.
