Hello X3 If it's not too much to ask can I request a scenario where fem! MC who's known to be rather shy and timid realises that she has a crush on Floyd pls? And he actually likes her back and decides to just straight up confess to her first? Thanks💕
Tumblr media
The rapid beating of your heart rang in your ears as you spotted a certain eel seated a few tables away. Floyd looked like he was in good mood today with that cute smile that decorated his face. His eyes looked lovely, shining with mirth as he conversed with Azul and Jade. A traitorous voice inside of your head whispered how you wished that you could take their place instead. Having Floyd’s smile directed at you, hearing his voice, being close enough to smell his cologne...
'Wait, no!'
You hurriedly looked away mortified at the thoughts that popped up in your head. You patted your cheeks, trying to get rid of the embarrassed blush that bloomed on your face. Your strange behavior caused some students to shoot you confused looks, which only added to your growing shame.
"You okay there, [Name]?" One of your friends asked.
"Probably fantasizing. They were staring at Floyd for a while." A pitiful whine escaped your lips before you hid your face in your arms.
"...Don't tease me..." You mumbled.
"I'm not judging your tastes...but it just seems surreal, you know? A person like you falling for Floyd out of all the students in this school. Most are terrified of him."
You can't really deny it. Floyd is scary. Even the Savanaclaw students don't mess with him.
There was even a time when your heartbeat rapidly because of fear. You turned the other way whenever you saw him heading in your direction. You kept your head down and avoided eye contact whenever you were in close proximity. Any mention of him would make you go pale.
But one day, everything changed.
You had been in the courtyard back then, practicing for your Defense Magic exam. All you had to do was hit three targets consecutively with an offensive spell. Unfortunately, it's easier said than done. You had been at it for an hour already, and blot had already appeared in your magic pen. You've cast several spells already, but none hit their mark. The ground in front of you was a mess, due to your attacks going off-course. You sighed and combed your hands through your hair in frustration.
Just what were you doing wrong? The exam was tomorrow. If you didn't perfect this by then-
"Eh~ What'cha doin', shrimpy? Are you digging?" You shrieked at the sudden voice. Floyd stalked closer, looking at you with an amused expression. "Aha~ Look at you. You really are a little shrimp, cowering like that. So? Tell me why you're digging."
"I'm practicing for the exam tomorrow." You blurted right away. It would be bad if you got on his bad side. He hummed before looking at the untouched targets placed on a nearby tree and at the mess of holes in the ground.
"Do it again."
"Huh?"
"Your spell. Lemme see how you do it."
You wondered why he would ask such a request. Was he going to make fun of you? Regardless, you raised your magic pen once again and shot a water spell. As expected it swerved unsteadily before slamming into the ground and shattering.
"Shrimpy, you're really unsteady." You squeaked once you felt the eel stand behind you and grasp your hand. Yours looked awfully small compared to his. "Steady yourself..." He said, right by your ear. "Focus on nothing except your target. Don't think negative thoughts either."
You gulped before shakily taking a deep breath. The unexpected close contact made you sweat quite a bit...but you were receiving genuine advice from a skilled magician - when he wanted to be - you would be an idiot not to accept it.
"Yep~ That's it shrimpy. Eyes forward and when you're ready..." Your eyes narrowed at the target a few feet away. You could feel your magic pulsing and flow through your body. Your magic crystal glows once again.
"...strike."
Another ball of water soared through the air and landed straight at the center of one of the targets. Then came another. And another.
Once you regained your bearings, you stared at the pieces of wood in disbelief. "What...? I actually did it?!"
Floyd grinned before he let go of your hand and patted you on the head.
"Good job!"
The sight of his smile made your heart skip a beat. You didn't know he could make such a cute expression.
"Not bad at all, shrimpy. Make sure to repay me for this, m'kay?"
"Huh?! Y-Yes, of course. Thank you very much!"
The merman sauntered off with a lazy wave of his hand. It was only when he disappeared from view that you noticed the extra weight on top of your head. You reached up and grabbed...a piece of candy?
It looked like one of those eel-shaped lollipops Floyd liked eating.
"...You're not so bad either..." You whispered.
...
"...Ah, hey! Wait a minute! H-How am I supposed to repay you?!"
...
Several weeks had passed since that time, but you still couldn't repay the merman. You couldn't even approach him without turning into a stuttering mess. You've tried. If Azul hadn't come for Floyd at that time, you might have just fainted.
"Try asking him out on a date." One of your friends suggested with a grin.
"...As if I can do that..."
Amidst your groaning, you fail to notice Floyd's mismatched eyes staring at your hunched figure on the table.
"Floyd, are you going to collect your debt, today?" Jade asks with amusement.
"Aha~ Yep! Can't wait to have fun with little shrimpy!"
A few hours later, the eel could be seen heading towards your classroom with a large grin. His eyes brightened before running towards you.
"Hey~ shrimpy!" You squeaked as you felt him tackle you from behind. If it wasn't for his arms wrapping around your smaller frame, you may have just face planted on the floor. You looked up in surprise as Floyd's smiling face greeted you.
"...Well, see you around, [Name]!"
"Yeah! Have fun!"
"What?! Hey, guys?!" You watched in disbelief as your friends ran off, leaving you at Floyd's mercy.
"You haven't forgotten, right?" He sang, hot breath fanning your ear. Incoherent words tumbled out of your mouth as you felt blood rush to your cheeks.
"Hm? What's with you? I won't understand anything you say if you stutter like that."
"I...er...p-payment?! W-What's...how can I repay...?"
"...Go out on a date with me, shrimpy!"
"...Huh."
With a grin, he hugs you even tighter and nuzzle's your cheek. "I like you. So we should go out! You know there's something interesting going on in the village outside, Jade says it's a small festival. We should go, tomorrow!"
"Ha...l-like a d-d-date...?!"
"Yeah! I wanna go on a date!"
"Shrimpy...you like me too right?" He asks with a smile.
At that moment, you felt as if you blew a fuse. You didn't know what happened afterward...you just blacked out and didn't know anymore.
...You did have fun on your date the next day. You'll consider that a win.

Freefall
Ship: Jamil/Yuu, female MC
Words: 1,502
Fic under the cut
“Hmm? You wanna try riding a broomstick?” Kalim asked light-heartedly. “Jamil’s one of the best in class, maybe you should ask him instead! Hey Jamil!”
Well, all it took was one off-hand remark about wishing to be able to fly like the others on a broomstick and Kalim was already off, dragging a confused Jamil to where Yuu stood in her gym “uniform”- a simple sweatshirt and sweatpants combo. Yuu’s gym sessions consisted of running laps around the grounds and wistfully looking at the students flying. And teasing the Octatrio.
Now Jamil’s in front of her, eyes carefully assessing...what? He is looking at her but she can’t tell what he’s thinking. With a sigh that hopefully wasn’t out of exasperation, Jamil got his broomstick floating and hopped on, sitting more towards the tail-end of it. He looked enquiringly at Yuu-
“Aren’t you getting on?” he asked simply, pointing down in front of him.
Oh. Oh. Yuu’ll be sitting in front of Jamil. The thought made her heart skip a beat. Not wanting to keep him waiting, she shoved aside any budding ideas and tentatively sat in the indicated space, gripping the broom tightly.
Immediately Jamil scooted forward, his chest enveloping Yuu’s smaller back and placed his hands right over hers. “Don’t worry, I’ll be gentle” he whispered into her ear.
Yuu felt like this was some kind of cruel dream. There’s no way he chose those words to speak, right? This must be some kind of fantasy her mind conjured up in a last-ditch effort to stay awake in Trein’s class. Thinking about Jamil does make her stay VERY awake.
However the moment the broom started to fly, Yuu felt her stomach drop at the sudden increase in altitude, jolting her back to the present. “Sorry, was that too fast? Let me know if I should take it slow.” Jamil’s silky voice once again serenaded her ear. “A-a little slower please? I am not used to this.” Jamil chuckled as a response. At this point Yuu was hyper-aware of the proximity of his face to hers, his chest to her back and his arms enclosing hers and his legs- oh- his legs were flush against hers, his sneakered feet tucked under hers and holding them up. Feeling the shared heat of their intertwined legs almost made Yuu gasp out loud. Forcing her eyes shut, she tried to rewire her thoughts to their alchemy homework and just focus on the sensation of the wind whipping through her hair instead of-
“Hey are you alright? Should I stop? Do you wanna get down?” Jamil’s hushed voice sounded genuinely concerned.
“Sorry! Sorry, I just got a little overwhelmed.”
“Does this make you feel better?” Yuu felt Jamil’s arm snake around her waist, holding her even closer to his body.
“Yes. Much better” she managed to squeak out, as her face and body seemed to be aflame.
The rest of the flight was fairly uneventful. Yuu felt comfortable with the gentle pressure of Jamil’s body and turned her head a little to catch a glimpse of his face. He had his usual stoic face on but Yuu thought she might have caught a bit of red there. Soon, Jamil made quips about each student they passed over causing Yuu to giggle over his deadpan delivery of said jabs. They flew at a leisurely pace, mostly quiet save for a few Oohs from Yuu’s side when she had a new view of something she saw everyday.
Little did she know, every word and sound she let out made the boy behind her blush and feel incredibly proud to be the only one to witness it and (indirectly) be the reason for her reactions.
***
Jamil did not know why and how he was suddenly seated behind Yuu, if you gave someone a lift on the broomstick, they were the one who sat behind. But here he is, body lined up closely against her. As if his body moved on instinct without his brain directing it and only now waking up to the fact that they were in extremely close physical contact. Jamil wondered if he was being inappropriate for a moment before he felt Yuu sigh and lean into him more and glance back at him, with a shy smile. Jamil felt like his heart would burst out of his chest any moment. Looking for a way to calm his mind, he spotted Azul down below and immediately came up with a snarky comment. That made her laugh and Jamil’s heart soared once more. They fell into a comfortable banter, Jamil hanging on to every word she said.
He found it easy to talk to her, especially after the whole Overblot debacle. And he caught himself wishing to talk more and more to her and make her smile, laugh, just react to his words in general (positively of course). He staunchly refused to ponder over his desire for her attention and simply dismissed his tumultuous feelings and convinced himself he cared for her as a friend and all his feelings were platonic. Nevermind the fact that he has NEVER taken anyone for a ride on his broomstick, not even Kalim. And yet…
Kalim MUST have known this would happen. No wonder he asked him to help Yuu despite being a competent flier himself. Jamil felt a twinge of annoyance. But it was quickly quelled as he heard Yuu say his name. Deciding to deal with these troublesome thoughts later, Jamil fell back into conversation, keeping his voice neutral with practiced ease even if his heart was thumping frantically in excitement.
The day was sunny and breezy and they were flying for well over 20 minutes. They had already crossed the grounds a few times. Jamil sighed. They should probably land. His body was getting a little stiff from not moving much from this position. And it was Yuu’s first time flying.
“I think we should descend soon…” he said, reluctantly.
“Oh. Hmm..” Yuu said. “A little more? Please?” To emphasize her point, she leaned back into Jamil and looked at him again. ‘Unfair!’ Jamil thought. ‘There’s no way I’d say no now.’ he sighed, but smiled at her.
***
“Hey Jamil, why don’t we go a bit faster? Can you do a roll? Wait, is it possible to do it with 2 people?”
The prospect of their ride coming to an end made Yuu curious about all the things she wanted to try.
“It could be done…”
“PLEASE CAN WE DO IT THEN?”
“...
Alright, please hold on tight. Do let me know if I should stop.”
Saying so, Jamil tightened his grip on Yuu and leaned further in, almost pinning her to the broom. With his other hand, he gently tugged hers and repositioned them closer to their bodies and once again placed his over hers, his thumb idly stroking her skin. The gesture was barely noticed by Yuu because immediately then Jamil maneuvered the broom to tilt sharply sideways and quickly roll once, twice and then after a moment’s pause, speed up. With a tug of his hand the broom flew upwards, performing a loop and then slowly decelerated before hovering to a stop.
Yuu felt the rush of adrenaline coursing through her, her hair was all over the place but she could only breathlessly laugh as Jamil hummed casually against her.
“That was so fucking amazing!! Ahh thank you Jamil for obliging me.”
Below them, Kalim whooped while Jack asked (yelled) if Yuu’s okay. Yuu yelled back she is, causing Jamil to pull his face back a little involuntarily as her voice was too loud.
“Ahh sorry sorry. I am done yelling, you can come back now.” Yuu said lightly before realizing what she meant. She felt herself blush and thankfully Jamil didn’t comment, quietly leaning back in, his lips close to her ear once again. She could hear his steady breathing if she concentrated (not like she was actively trying to!!).
“Yuu…” he spoke, his words barely a whisper. Yuu could have sworn his lips made contact with her skin. He seemed to drawl out her name and it gave her butterflies.
“J-Jamil?” she asked back, her spirits dampened slightly, knowing full well what he wanted to say.
He sighed, the action causing all sorts of feelings to bloom inside Yuu.
“We should get off. I am sorry, it’s getting a little late. BUT- we can maybe do this again later-”
“Definitely!!!”
Jamil smiled. Yuu felt like her heart would burst out of happiness.
As they got off, Yuu immediately felt her back go cold, missing Jamil’s warmth. As their friends jogged towards them, Jamil ducked close and said in a low voice- “Went a little hard at the end because you asked for it. I hope you can walk straight until our next ride.” then proceeded to saunter off towards Kalim, broom in hand.
Yuu felt her knees grow weak and it was hard to answer if it was because of the flying or Jamil.

Countdown, 15 - Floyd Leech
“I’ll be gentle when I squeeze you, so come on over here.”
The words that came out of your mouth made Ace and Epel shocked. You weren't so fond of what you did. Vil always reminded everyone in the dorm what not to do, yet you did.
Never make a contract with anyone from Octavinelle.
Epel was in mid-bite of his food, and Ace spit out his drink. The three of you were having lunch together. You didn't know why, but that slipped out of your mouth. No one was speaking, and you wanted to spark up some conversation. You weren't expecting those words to come out.
You look down, feeling bad. Out of any bad things that you can do around the school, this was the worse. You never thought you would do this. It probably because of how you been feeling lately. Stress, no time, in a hurry.
"So, you made a deal with someone from Octavinelle student." Epel restated what you said.
You nod slightly. You didn't want to get into it. You were talking down about yourself until Ace speaks.
"Which student did you make the contract with?" You bite your lip and shake your head. Ace raises his eyebrow. "Azul?"
Keeping your mouth shut, Epel spoke. "Jade?" They both notice a slight shift in your body.
"Floyd." It wasn't a question. They both knew it was him.
You close your eyes and cover your face. You wished you didn't. You let a groan out as you lean back in your chair. Ace shakes his head, and Epel sighs.
"You need to tell Vil, Y/N," Epel spoke. You open your mouth about decline, but Ace then started.
"You can't get out of the contract. I heard other students who made a deal with them to know they will collect what they want." Ace shakes his head. "What did agree on the contract about?" Your face flushed. It was a stupid thing.
You look away from them. "I don't wanna talk about it." You spoke.
"Then how would we know how bad the payment will be." Ace tilts his head.
"Forget it." You stood up. Both Epel and Ace go to say something before you speak. "I have to meet someone for a project in the Library, so I have to go now."
You lied.
They probably know from the way you didn't look at them in their eyes. A sigh comes from them, and an 'okay' comes out. You grab what food was left, and you walked away. You needed to clear your mind.
The thought of the contract you made with Floyd kept coming in mind. You roll your eyes. You should have stopped, walked away even.
You let your mind wander as you let your feet lead the way. It wasn't until you noticed a presence near you. Someone was following you. Or was it watching you?
At that moment, you knew who it was. You stop in the middle of the hallway and take a deep breath. You always made sure to be around someone for the past two weeks. You spot Floyd from time to time, but he didn't do anything. He only gave you that look that he wanted to talk.
"I know you're there, Floyd."  There was silence there for a second before hearing boots echoing through your ears.
"Someone has been feeling guilty, I see."
You turn around to meet face to face with Floyd. His hands were in his pockets and the smirk. You take another deep breath, and you look around the hall. You hope that no one followed. Especially, anyone from your dorm. It was as if Floyd was reading your mind as he spoke.
"No one was following. Only me." You lock eyes with Floyd. You might as well get this over.
"Alright." You close your eyes. You needed to calm down. Your heart was racing. "What's the price." You got straight to the point. A chuckle leaves from Floyd as he leans against the wall.
"My, my. The little beauty is ready to get this over with I see." Floyd's hand reaches for his hat and takes it off before reaching inside. "We need to look at the contract you sighed first."
He pulls out the contract. You didn't know how he had that in there, but you didn't question it. You shift in your spot, waiting for him to speak.
"Azul has been asking for your payment for a while now. We would have had to force you if you didn't comply today.
"Let's get on with it." You started to get annoyed, but Floyd holds up a finger.
"Now, two weeks ago, you were aggravated about not passing your history test. I offered you this contract that you will do well on the test. Is that right, princess?" He tilts his head towards you, and your face starts to turn red.
"Y-Yes." You turn your head away from him, not wanting to hear this.
A hum comes from him. Floyd pushes himself from the wall and turns his whole body towards you. You watch him out of the corner of your eye as you wait for the payment.
Floyd places his hat back on his head and fixes his gloves, eyeing you. The silence was tense. You were afraid of what he was going to say. It was odd, though. You spoke to other students who have made contact with them, and they told them what they owe. Floyd didn't say anything to you when you made the contract. He let you sign, and he left.
"A small action, an equal price," Floyd spoke. "Now, come here." He opens his hands out. You were confused.
You give him a confused look, not knowing what he wanted. He smirks again.
"What's the price?" You ask again. You were slightly scared. The next words that come from his mouth made you widen your eyes.
"A little hug from my little princess." You drop your bag to the floor. You didn't know how you felt. Angry? Relieved?
"You wanted only a hug?" You shout.
"Of course."
"You made me freak out over the price of this contact for only a damn hug!" Floyd laughs.
"Me? No. That was all you." He crosses his arms across his chest, looking at the amusing expression you had.
You open your mouth and closed it. Floyd was right. It was all in your head. Now, you feel embarrassed. You close your eyes and rubbed your forehead, trying to comprehend the situation. Floyd spoke once again, not waiting for you to figure this all out.
“I’ll be gentle when I squeeze you, so come on over here.” Those words made you blush. You huffed before you know you had to hug him.
You slowly walked over, preparing yourself. You never mind a hug, but the way Floyd was smiling at you made you not want to hug him.
He opens his arms for you. You didn't think as you went into them and wrapped your arms around his body.
Your face flushed. It's a good thing Floyd was taller than you so you were able to hide your face.
You feel the vibration from his laughter only to make you mumble into his chest. "Shut up."
"See, I told you, I would be gentle." Floyd squeezes you gently.
You take another deep breath, finally relaxing. "Shut up, Floyd."
