Regarding Ava (2/3)
For @ghosttownwhispers
1. Who are they closest to? How did they meet and what do they like to do together?
She was always closest with her grandparents. She’d spend all summer at their estate and they’d put together scavenger hunts and puzzles for her to solve, they’d teach her about history and myth, they’d take her to museums and get special access to the back rooms so she could see the Really cool stuff they don’t put on display.
2. What were they like as a child? Were they quiet and reserved, outgoing, or a bit of both?
She was a very reserved child, a trait that followed her into adulthood. She’s always been very proper and polite, even while playing or having fun. She had her moments of unrestrained fun, but more often than not she’d keep to herself.
3. Are they an early bird or night owl?
You can be both if you don’t sleep.
4. What are 3 of their irrational fears?
Handling lab equipment (bad accident in college), heights, and sharp things pointed at her.
5. How affectionate are they? What are their top love languages?
She’s affectionate in her own way. She doesn’t really Do affection, but when she does she’s all in. Gift giving and words of affirmation are most definitely her top love languages.
6. On an average day, what can they be found doing after dinner?
Reading/Writing/Studying/Emailing/Researching. Same thing she does before dinner.
7. What are 3 foods they can’t live without?
Her ma’s homemade harira, her oma’s käsespätzle, and a nice bowl of miso soup.
8. What will always make them smile? What will always make them cry?
Always Smile: A breakthrough in research, seeing kids at the museum explore, being recognized for her hard work
Always cry: Marley and Me, being yelled at
9. What was their first kiss like?
Uneventful and overall forgettable
10. Favorite place? Do they go there often?
Her study. She spent a long time arranging her books and journals and collectibles Just Right and now sitting at her desk is more comfortable than laying in her bed.
11. Who was their child hero/heroine?
Her grandparents and Aunt Addie, all three of whom were world renowned explorers in their time.
12. Are they hot-headed or even-tempered? What frustrates them the most?
She’s very even-tempered but is most frustrated by being spoken over.
13. What special abilities or talents do they possess? Did they develop through training or were they born with them?
She’s always had a pretty fantastic ability to retain knowledge. Even if she doesn’t know something off hand, she’ll know exactly where to find the answer. It’s something she’s always had a knack for.
14. Choose an AU you think would be interesting for them to be a part of. Who would they be?
SPACE ARCHAEOLOGIST!!!
15. Are they the type to adopt strays (animals or people?) What or who have they “adopted” over the years?
She doesn’t really take in strays. For animals she’ll foster them until they can be re-homed or taken to a proper shelter. For people, she generally doesn’t let them get too close. Not on purpose, she’s just kind of like that.
16. How do they like their baths/showers? Hot/cold, long/short?
Short and hot. Short because she’s a busy woman and has important things to be doing, hot because she desperately needs a hug.
17. Do they consider themselves to be romantic? Why or why not?
Not at all, she’s entirely too busy with her work and theories. Maybe if someone were to share her passion she’d consider romance, but she’s in a pretty niche field.
18. How has their hair changed over time? What is their favorite hairstyle?
Growing up she’d wear it partially pulled up. In high school she tried wearing it down for a while but found she didn’t really like being able to see it in her field of vision. Now she wears it up in a loose bun to keep it off her neck and out of her face.
19. What do they wish they knew more about?
Literally Every Single Thing
20. How many friends do they have?
Define friend. People she’d hang out with outside of work? None.
21. What are they most afraid of? What made them fear this?
Failure, rejection. She grew up comfortable and praised and never once had reason to be punished at home or at school. She’s self aware enough to know that that didn’t at all help her learn how to cope with inevitable failure in the real world.
22. What is something others admire about them? Are they aware that people admire them for this?
Her work ethic. She’s pretty aware they people admire her for this, because it’s what she most prides in herself.
23. Where would they fall on a politeness/rudeness scale of 1-10 (1 being the most polite and 10 being the rudest)?
I’d put her somewhere near a 4. She’s polite, but she’s always blunt. If she needs an answer, she expects just the answer.
24. Where did their name come from? Does it have meaning?
A German variation of Eve, it could mean Bird or Life.
25. What events changed them as a child?
Going to Cairo, Egypt for the first time. It really cemented her love of history and planted that seed of adventure.

week three
last week | next week
warnings: several mentions of death, potentially triggering references to c****a, angst central, desirée is Bad At Feelings
word count: 1951
Sunday, August 17th, 2023 - Day 15 of quarantine
“Westchester County residents should be expected to shelter in place for at least 5 more weeks. Healthcare professionals are resigning by the hundreds as the disease spreads to nurses and doctors throughout the country. Over half of all patients that have tested positive for the Westchester Plague have either committed suicide or attempted to commit suicide. More at noon.”
“It only gets worse and worse every day,” Desirée frowns.
“Maybe we should take a break from the news for a while.” Andy turns the TV off and heads into the kitchen. “What do you want to eat?”
“Um…” Desirée could probably read him a numbered and alphabetized list of foods that she would ruin right about now, but she refrains. “What do we have?”
“Well, there’s some ramen in here…”
Not ideal, but it’ll have to do. They are in the middle of an epidemic, after all. “Awesome.”
So they eat chicken flavored ramen like a pair of broke college students while watching some old anime, which Andy adamantly rejects the second the words leave her lips (“Avatar: The Last Airbender is a cartoon, Desirée”), and she lets her mind wander.
Eventually, it arrives to Andy, as it seems to do more and more often these days. His name warms her skin like the sun on a late summer afternoon. His presence feels like the down comforter on her bed after a long day of work.
A small smile plays at her lips as she leans into the promise of an exciting summer and sweet dreams. It welcomes her with open arms and promises fond memories for years to come. But as soon as she goes to take it, she finds herself drenched in a raging storm.
While they polish off the last of their cups, a devastating truth hits her.
As lovely as their moment feels, its end is as inevitable as the bone-chilling winter or the start of a new day.
Monday, August 18th, 2023 - Day 16 of quarantine
“Did you want to give video games another try?” Andy asks tentatively. Then, like the infuriating bastard he is, he smirks. “I promise I’ll let you win.”
“That won’t be necessary.” Desirée retorts, donning a small smile.
“Don’t get too cocky or I’ll have to show you up.” Andy
After a tense round of Mortal Kombat, the TV screen flashes a victory. Andy slumps back, defeated.
“I...how…?”
“Lily and I used to play. I’m excellent at playing dumb, Andy,” Desirée smirks. “You know this about me.”
He shakes his head. “You’re something else, you know that?”
“If you say so.” Desiree rolls her neck and stretches her arms. “Ready for round 2?”
Tuesday, August 19th, 2023 - Day 17 of quarantine
“Scientists have found that cutis dissolutitis, better known as the Westchester Plague, mutated from Bacillus subtilis, a bacteria species found in dirt that acts as a decomposer of organic materials. It was first found in a large forest area. The best way to protect against this epidemic is to cover all exposed skin when you’re outside and sanitize once you’re inside.” A disgruntled news anchor reports from the outside of a nondescript building. The only patch of visible skin is around his eyes, which are covered by transparent goggles.
Desirée gasps suddenly. “Oh my god, the woods. Andy, you don’t think that…”
He catches the implication. “There’s no way. Devon would never do this.”
“We never suspected that Jane...or Noah… She shakes her head. “I just hope not.”
Wednesday, August 20th, 2023 - Day 18 of quarantine
The official body count is projected to be 100. Over 200 citizens in the county have reported testing positive for the virus and 400 more are showing symptoms. Ignoring the news at this point is just short of irresponsible, but fear keeps her from lingering on the headlines.
As the day winds to a close, a feeling of dread slowly infiltrates her mind. The thought of tomorrow makes her skin crawl. Her stomach inverts and reverts on a constant loop as she reads yet another headline about yet another person committing suicide to avoid the disease.
The sun sets and she’s overcome with a terrible truth. A subtle prick of worry that blossoms into a deep ache in her chest that she can’t quite place.
“Something terrible is going to happen tomorrow.” Desirée whispers aloud. She locks herself in the bathroom as she feels the omen leave her lips. Andy doesn’t need to hear this. “Something that will change everything we thought was true.”
Thursday, August 21st, 2023 - Day 19 of quarantine
They don’t bother changing out of their pajamas anymore.
An alert on her phone tells her that the death toll in Westchester County has climbed from 100 to 1,000 overnight. Westchester alone has lost a third of its population. Then, she gets the call.
“Hello?”
“Hey, Dizzy,” Lily sniffles.
She knows that something is very wrong for two reasons. One, no one has called her Dizzy since her junior year in high school. Two, Lily is a notorious night owl and wouldn’t be caught out of bed before 9 in the morning if she had her way, let alone willingly engaging in human interaction. If she was calling at 8 AM, it had to be serious.
“Lily, is everything okay?” Desirée whispered as she tiptoed out of bed to avoid waking Andy.
“It’s my mom.” She sobs, and suddenly she can no longer hear the hum of the vents above her head or the whirring of her computer on the coffee table. “She has the plague.”
“Lily, how long has she had it?”
“I don’t know.” She sobs harder. “They’re queueing everyone on the block for testing.”
“Lily, it’s going to be okay. Everything is going to be okay,” Desirée whispers. The burning in her eyes and the constricting feeling in her throat tell her that she’s crying, too. “You’re going to be okay.”
She’s lying through her teeth and she knows it, but the words seem to offer Lily some comfort as she recites them back to her.
“I will be okay,” she chokes out. “Everything will be okay.”
“If you need anything at all…”
“I know who to call,” Lily replies. The line goes dead.
Desirée holds the phone to her chest and sends a silent prayer. It’s bad enough that you’ve taken a third of our town. Please don’t take Lily, too.
Silent tears stream down her cheeks as she prays over and over again.
Don’t take Lily.
Don’t take Lily.
Don’t take Lily.
It’s that exact moment that Andy wraps his arms around Desirée’s middle and buries his head in the crook of her neck. She’s suddenly overcome with guilt and shame as she turns to him with shining eyes.
“Andy, I-”
“Shhh.” He shakes his head and pulls her into his chest, blinking back tears of his own. “Whenever you’re ready.”
Soon, everyone knows. The news is bleaker than ever, with cameras being shoved into the grieving families of the victims and the death toll climbing by the hour. As the day crawls to an end and she lays in Andy’s arms, one thing becomes astoundingly apparent.
Life will never be the same again.
Friday, August 22nd, 2023 - Day 20 of quarantine
It becomes physically unbearable to look at the news. Desirée briefly considers letting Andy unplug the TV again.
No one takes the news of Lily’s mother well, but Ava seems to struggle with it the most.  She refuses to answer phone calls from anyone and only replies in short, but extremely worrying sentences.
“I wish this wasn’t going on so that I could check on her.” Desirée sighs after a fifth “missed” call. She’s curled up on the living room sofa with her head hanging on the arm. Her eyes are shut tight. “But here we are.”
“She’s never really been the emotional type, Rée.”
“That’s why I’m so worried about her. If she’s shutting down this early, what’s she gonna do if Mrs. Ortiz doesn’t make it?”
“I don’t know, but I think what Ava needs right now is space.”
“Andy, I can’t just let her spiral.” She sits up at this, frowning.
“I know it’s hard to see her like this, but you can’t protect everyone.”
“I know I can’t. I don’t think I’ll ever forget that.” Desirée whispers. “But I can help.”
“What happened with Devon wasn’t your fault, Desirée. The only person you should blame is-”
“Don’t.”
“The point I’m making is that you don’t always have to be everyone’s person.” Andy stares deeply into her eyes. For a second, it feels as if he’s seeing her every flaw, every imperfection she’s buried deep into her heart and mind, every secret she’s ever kept and maybe even the ones she didn’t. For the longest second, it feels as if he’s peering into her soul and reading it with the ease of a picture book and she’s helpless to turn away and shut him out despite the fact that she desperately wants to. “You’re always so focused on being there for everyone else, but who’s going to be there for you?”
You. She almost whispers. It’s always been you.
“A therapist.” She replies instead, forcing a small smile. “And a bottle of wine.”
“Take care of yourself.” Andy squeezes her shoulders once and turns for the bedroom. “Let someone else be there for you once in a while.”
“Someone else like who?”
“I don’t think either one of us is ready for that conversation.”
“You sure?” Desirée retorts, suddenly emboldened. She’s not the only mind reader between them and she’ll be damned if Andy Kang gets to leave her wondering like every night before. “Because I feel plenty ready to talk. If you’re scared of going there, just say that.”
“Who’s scared?” Andy turns back around, staring her down. She holds her own, meeting his gaze head on. “I’ll go there if that’s what you want.”
“Hey, don’t hold back on my account. If you want to say something, I’m all ears.”
“Could you handle that?” He walks slowly toward her as he speaks, sizing her up. “Could you handle it if I told you that I wish you’d stop trying to play tough all the time and open up to me like you used to? That I wish we’d just quit this dance where we pretend we’re still not in love with each other?” Her breath catches and his face is inches away from hers, so much so that she can feel his breath on her cheeks. “Could you even function knowing that?”
“I could. You know why?” She finally responds, placing her hand directly onto his chest. “Nothing is the way it used to be, Andy. We’re not the way we used to be when this started and we’ll never be those people again. So I suggest…” She tilts her head upwards and brushes her lips against his chin. “...you make peace with that.”
She lets him meditate on her words as she heads toward the bedroom and into the conjoined bathroom, where she finally lets her face rest in her hands as she cries.
Saturday, August 23, 2023 - Day 21 of quarantine
They don’t speak for most of the day.
“I probably should’ve told you this earlier,” Desirée tells Andy during the evening. They’ve just eaten dinner. “But everything that happened on Thursday...I felt it.”
“You...what?”
“I’d just been feeling horrible all day and I thought my anxiety was just acting up, but then I just felt this ache in my chest and I knew something awful was going to happen.”
“What did it feel like?”
“Death.” She inhales a shaky breath before nodding resolutely. “It felt like death.”

On Coming Out Pt. III
Happy Friday, friends!
We’re back with part III of our Coming Out Series here on the blog, where we share YOUR beautiful, funny, complicated, and relatable coming out stories. If you missed part I, you can view it here, and part II here.
Below, we’re sharing eight new stories you all submitted via Instagram about how you came out and what you felt. Check them out, and stay tuned in the coming weeks for more stories! As always, thank you for being so brave and sharing your lives with us. You’re helping more people than you know.
“I was 17, the internet was new, and I didn’t know about clearing the browser history. My dad’s secretary saw the websites I’d been visiting. It was a shit show afterward but it motivated me to stand up for myself, which I had never done before.” -Nathan, CA
“I was one of those over involved ally’s and was like yeah I’m probably gay because Demi Lovato shouldn’t be this beautiful. When I was 15, I wrote on the bottom of a mug at Thanksgiving one year that said ‘I’m here and queer’ and drank out of it until everybody noticed, which was pretty quick. It was pretty funny but I definitely felt the weight of the world coming off my shoulders and some not so nice, close-minded relatives’ (who still have yet to come around since) judgment, but they didn’t say anything.” -Ava
“My coming out story is a little different. I came out my freshman year of college (when I was 18) and everybody was so warm and accepting even though I went to a Christian university (being a musical theatre major helped I think). That summer I came home planning to come out to my family but it never actually happened. Conversations just changed because they always knew. I didn’t have the traditional coming out with my family and I’m okay with that because they are loving and accepting and still trying to find me a boyfriend 😂.” -Brendan, New Milford, 25.
“It’s a process that never stops and I still haven’t come out to my family, but I first came out to my best friend when I was 14. I couldn’t actually say the word ‘gay’ and I found ways to get hm to say it first. He reacted well and I have had mostly positive reactions from anyone I’ve ever told- even some of my more religious friends who were more conflicted about it were accepting of me. It is really amazing to see how much the world has changed in the last decade or so since I first came out till now, and I hope one day no one feels like they have to ‘come out’ or label themselves.” -Drew, Texas, 21
“I was actually outed by an ex girlfriend from high school when she found out I was dating a guy. She told both of my parents and my mom was the most amazing and supportive person ever. On the other hand, my dad wasn’t. My dad and I don’t speak anymore but I have made some of the most amazing friends that have become my chosen family and I couldn’t be happier.” -Anthony
“I came out at the age of 28 a few months after getting divorced from my wife. My family and friends were incredibly supportive! Been with my boyfriend for seven months now and couldn’t be happier!” -Jordan, NC, 29
“I completely came out when seeking asylum in Canada, as my home country (Indonesia) is persecuting LGBTQ people. It was last year on my 30th birthday, and it felt so liberating! I’d been out to friends for years, but it was the first time I let my big family know- by writing a blog about it (zulfikarfahd.com). My family texted me; some said they’re sad that I ‘decided’ to be gay, but some others said they could accept my ‘choice’. -Zulfikar, Canada
“I came out to my best friend first when I was 21, and then over the few weeks after, to friends and family, resulting in the loss of some relationships. I had mixed reactions, from ‘we love you so much and support you,’ to ‘you need to figure out what happened to you as a child and get past this.’ The toughest thing is that coming out never stops, as anytime you meet a new person, eventually if you spend enough time with them, you’ll have to come out once more, and you never know what someone’s reaction will be. I take the good with the bad and I love myself, being true to who I am.” -Brad

Arrowverse Characters born in or after ‘89
So tangentially to this post about Zari I made yesterday, here’s a list of significant characters (typically recurring or at least children of a main) born after 1989. The basic idea is they’re under 30, though that gets complicated with time-travelling and flashforwards.
This does include characters from Black Lightning.
Sometimes actors’ ages are used, because even though their character ages may differ slightly, they are definitely intended to fit in the category
Alex Danvers (1989)
Caitlin (Feb 28, 1989)
Barry (Mar 14, 1989)
Iris (Jun 24, 1989)
Felicity (Jul 24, 1989)
Cisco (Carlos was born in 1989)
Eve Tessmacher (Andrea was born in 1989)
Raya Van Zandt (Gabrielle was born in 1989)
Emiko (1989)
Joe Wilson (William was 13 when he played the young version of the character in a scene set in 2004; Liam who plays older Joe was born ca. 1990)
ETA 8/30/20: Kate Kane and Elizabeth “Alice” Kane (Jan 26,1990)
Adam Foster (1990)
ETA 8/30/20: William Dey likely fits here
Kara landed on Earth at age 13 in 2003 (but was probably actually born c. 1966)
Kendra (Ciara was born in 1990)
ETA 8/30/20: Chester Runk (July 5, 1991)
Roy (Jul 13, 1991)
Linda Park (Malese was born in 1991)
ETA 8/30/20: Sophie Moore (1991 or 1992)
Spencer Young (Kiana was born in 1992)
Lena Luthor (1993)
Jax (Sep 12, 1993) error in an episode
Anissa (Jun 28, 1994)
Luke and Mary (played by Camrus Johnson b. 1994 and Nicole Kang b. 1991, respectively) from “Batwoman” will likely fit around here
Thea (Jan 21, 1995)
ETA 8/30/20: Mary Hamilton (May 17, 1995)
Edit 10/18/20: Jax- late 1995 (turned 21 in late 2016)
Jesse Quick (Violett was born in 1996, but Jesse seems older than Wally, having already been to and graduated from college before he applies)
Wally (1995 or 1996)
Joslyn (Reina was born in 1996)
Nia (Nicole was born in 1997)
Cindy Simone aka Sin (1997)
Joanie (1998)
ETA 8/30/20: Luke Fox graduated high school in 2015, probably age 17 at the latest, so born in 1998 or later- actor Camrus Johnson b. 1994
Mona (Ramona was born in 1998)
ETA 8/30/20: Allegra (Feb 23, 1999)- her cousin Esperanza is unlikely to have been born before 1994 as they were in juvie together when Allegra was 13
Evelyn (1999)
Akio (b. somewhere between 2000 and 2002, d. 2010)
Khalil (b. 2001, d. 2019)
Jennifer (Oct 7, 2001)
George Lockwood (Graham was born in 2002)
Carter Grant (Levi was born in 2002)
Nora Darhk (Dec 2, 2003; adult Legend Nora is probably from 2039)
ETA 8/30/20: Lita Rory (2004)
AJ Diggle (2004 or 2005)
ETA 8/30/20: Parker Torres is in high school during BW S1 so let’s estimate age 16 in 2020, born 2004
Zoe Ramirez (Eliza was born in 2004; even though 28 year old Andrea played flashforward Zoe in 2038, Eliza’s age is likely closer to the character’s)
Ruby Arias (2005)
ETA 6/28: Astra Logue born 2005, d. 2014
William Clayton (2006 or 2007)
Grant Wilson (Slade, who didn’t know about his son until 2017, fathered Grant before arriving on the island in 2007, so probably 2007 or 2008)
Marcus the Phorian (Lonnie was born in 2007)
Zari (2009 or 2010- she was 9 in May 2019; original adult Legend Zari was from 2042)
Mikhail from Kaznia (Gabriel was probably born after 2010)
Connor Hawke (Aiden’s age isn’t available online, and Joseph was cast as the character for a different future; this one is definitely a guess, but Connor was probably born in 2011 ca. 2013 or later)
Sara Diggle (b. Oct 8, 2014, Flashpointed in 2016)
JJ Diggle (Nov 2014, after Flashpoint)
ETA 8/02: Ronnie, Lily Stein’s son (fall 2017)
Jenna West (May 22, 2018)
Clark and Lois’ child (Conner Kent?- likely late spring 2019)
Wickstable/ Mithra (May 2019)
Behrad Tomaz (summer 2019; in “Legends” S5 2020 he was travelling back to 2044)
Mia Smoak (late fall 2019)
Nora West-Allen (b. in the early 2020s, adult Flash Nora was from the late 2030s, Erased spring 2019)
ETA 8/02: Martina Jackson (2022 or 2023)
Then there’s the question of if you count Ava (and different iterations?) and Gideon. Regardless, Rip and Miranda likely count, and Jonas definitely does (he died in 2166 and couldn’t have been older than 10). In fact, Eobard was born c. 2151, before all his time travelling, so he and Jonas are not far apart birth-wise (crack theory where Booster--> Rip--> Jonas, who Savage actually made Eobard; or, Eobard knew the Hunter-Coburns before things went to shit, and that’s how he got Rip’s time sphere). Cassandra Savage was probably born in after the early 2140s, given that she looks to be at least in her mid-20s in 2166, though it is unknown whether her timeline still exists. Querl is from the 31st century of E-38, and so presumably are Imra and Nura.
Also, a note that Maisie was born in 1992, but Amaya was born in the 1920s at latest, and Charlie’s ancient. This also extends to a couple other younger characters (Courtney especially) from the past, so they weren’t included above.
some edits have been made since this was first posted

1 TO 50 JOWI 1 TO 50 Honestly I didnt even read all the ask but doooo itttt pleaseee
FINE FINE CALM YOUR TITS.
1. Do you ever wish you were someone else?- Yes. Well, not someone else entirely, but I wish was a better person.
2. What is your full name?- Jowi Rodriguez Orlina.
3. How old are you and how old do you get mistaken for?- I’m sixteen. No one’s really assumed my age before but for some reason, I often get mistaken for a college student. Once I tell them my actual age, they say I look really mature for my age.
4. Have you ever dyed your hair?- No, but I definitely will in the future. I plan to color some streaks of my hair blue.
5. What’s your eye color?- Brown. If only I inherited my dad’s eyes; they’re gray.
6. Your opinion about your body and how comfortable you are with it. - I’m considerably shorter than almost all of my friends, so it’s no surprise that I’m often the butt of so many short jokes. I’m also often the butt of flat jokes, but overall, I’m fine with my body. I’m thin as a pencil though, lol.
7. Do you have any tattoos or piercings?- No to both. I never really found the need for earrings, so I never got my ears pierced. A tattoo, on the other hand, is something I think I’m going to get. Nothing big; just a tiny one on my wrist.
8. What would you say is your best quality?- I have no self esteem AT ALL so how do I answer this. Um, I guess it’s my humor?
9. What are you really bad at?- Oh sweet willy willikers, I’M SO BAD AT SO MANY THINGS. I’m bad at taking care of myself, I’m bad at staying attentive, I’m bad at keeping myself focused, etc. etc.
10. What talent do you wish you had?- If only I was good at programming. I just suck with computers in general.
11. Are you nice to everyone?- Generally yes, I’m civil with everyone.
12. What do you think about the most?- I often think about my doubts and insecurities. Oh, and my friends.
13. Things you like/dislike about yourself. - I like that I can be a funny and entertaining person. I dislike that I sometimes come off as obnoxious and pissy.
14. What is your least favorite word?- Homework.
15. What is your favorite word?- I don’t think I have one, but I do have a favorite phrase: “I care for you.”
16. Are you more like your mom or your dad?- I honestly don’t know; I’m so different from everyone in my family, but…I guess my mom?
17. Would you ever smile at a stranger?- If we bump into each other, yeah. Depends on my mood though. I often just stare.
18. A reason you’ve ever lied to someone.- To make them think that I’m interesting and worth being friends with.
19. Are you lying about anything right now?- Nope. Or am I?
20. Have you kissed someone older than you?- Lips? No. Don’t know if I ever will. Cheek? Yes; during elementary. I’d rather forget it.
21. Do you believe in love at first sight?- No. I always thought that love was something that developed over time, not something that happened at a single glance.
22. Do you believe in soulmates?- I’m not sure. What if I’m meant to be alone? What if I’d rather be by myself?
23. Are looks important?- Heh, for a celebrity, yes. In general, I don’t think so. Inside is where it’s at, not the outside.
24. Opinion on relationship age differences. - I’m fine with a three-year gap. Same with a five-year gap. But maybe eight or TEN? No. That just feels weird.
25. Would you date someone off the internet?- Nope. Sorry. But hey, things can change.
26. Have you ever cried over a boy?- *sigh* Yes. Ah, hormones.
27. Have you ever wanted someone you couldn’t have?- Does it count if I want to be friends with them, but deep down I know we’ll never go past being acquaintances? If so, yes.
28. Anyone you’re giving up on right now?- No. Hopefully, never.
29. Have you ever liked someone who your friends hated?- No. My friends and I are like a hive mind; we mostly have the same opinions.
30. Have you ever liked your best friend?- Nope.
31. How does someone win your heart?- Well…just be genuine. Be real. Be down-to-earth and weird. The weirdest people are the coolest people.
32. What turns you on?- I absolutely adore rain. Dark, moody, and gloomy things in general. Oh, and jackets; I love hoarding them.
33. What turns you off?- Fake people. Summer heat. Places with a lot of people. Grammatical and writing mistakes.
34. Do you get jealous easily?- No. It’s not like I own the person. I have been envious of other people though.
35. What is your definition of cheating?- You can get away with it as long as you’re not caught.
36. Do you forgive betrayal?- It’ll take much more than a genuine apology to earn back my respect and trust.
37. Have you ever been cheated on?- Nope. Never even had a boyfriend.
38. Have you ever cheated on someone?- Look, I’ve been single my whole life, but why the hell would I cheat on someone? That’s one of the lowest things a person can do.
39. How often do you listen to music?- I listen to it every day and everywhere. Music is the best therapy.
40. First concert you attended. - A One Direction concert years ago. I regret it now, but my twelve year old self begs to differ.
41. Last movie you watched. - Infinity War. I’m still not okay.
42. Favorite type of movie. - Comedy. I love humor, especially if it’s dark.
43. Is there something that happened in your past that you hate talking about?- The entirety of my elementary years, and the first year of high school. I was such a cringey and annoying kid, it hurts.
44. Are you good at hiding your feelings?- Yes. However, if I’m at my tipping point, nothing will stop my tears.
45. Do you fall in love easily?- Nope. Call it being picky, but I just like being careful. Plus, I’m too young, so I could care less about love at the moment.
46. Do you think people say “I love you” too much?- No. It’s their relationship/friendship, so why judge?
47. What’s your favorite holiday?- Christmas. I get money, and I’m on break.
48. Are you a forgiving person? Do you like being that way?- It takes a while for me to forgive someone if they really offend me. Sometimes I only forgive so I can move on, and I think I can live with that.
49. Where’s the most magical place on earth?- Anywhere if I’m with my friends. They make any place light up.
50. What’s your type?- This question is vague, but I’m assuming it’s asking about my standards with guys. I guess I like someone who listens. Someone who I can be myself with. Whenever I’m with this person, it feels like I’m going on an adventure.
There. Are you happy, Ava?

1. Demi Lovato appears to be off the market. The “Sorry Not Sorry” singer posted a photo of model Austin Wilson giving her a kiss on Instagram Tuesday night with the caption, “My [heart emoji].”
Wilson, 25, also shared another mirror selfie of him and Lovato, 27, with the caption, “My love.” Fans and friends of the pop star immediately congratulated her on her new relationship.
Actress Debra Messing commented under the photo, “Gorgeous.” Stylist Maeve Reilly wrote, “Ohhhh there they are.” It is unclear how long Lovato and Wilson have been dating or how they met. A rep for Lovato could not be reached for comment.
However, Wilson recently shared a tribute on Instagram to Lovato’s friend Thomas — who died in October after a battle with addiction — so it seems Wilson and Lovato share the same circle of friends. Lovato was most recently linked to “Bachelorette” alum Mike Johnson. The pair shared a few flirty exchanges on social media over the summer, but the romance ultimately fizzled out after Johnson, 31, opened up about their private dates and revealed Lovato is a “really good kisser.” Lovato also famously dated Wilmer Valderrama for six years, but the couple split in June 2016. They have remained good friends.
2. Lamar Odom’s son, Lamar Morales-Odom Jr., called out his dad on Instagram following the former NBA baller’s announcement that he is engaged to Sabrina Parr.
“Not a [text] or phone call to see how people who’ve known this dude his whole life, to see how we would feel or react,” Morales-Odom, 17, wrote in a now-deleted Instagram comment Monday night. “knew shawty for 4 months and already got you twisted, fam n friends already don’t approve of homegirl but she already got your ass in a sunken place. Shame family gotta find out on social media but that’s been how life been all the time as a son of an odom.”
The former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant, 40, took to Instagram to reveal his engagement, apparently before sharing the news with family and friends. In an apology from his son, the young Odom recognizes he went too far while admitting his frustration with being kept out of important events and decisions in his father’s life.
“Last night I was emotional seeing my father got engaged through social media,” Morales-Odom wrote Tuesday morning. “I was hurt and caught off guard. At the end of the day, I am a teenager, that is becoming a young man. I have to be responsible for what I post, I have nothing but love for my dad and want what’s best for him.”
3. 'They deserve each other!' Kanye West comes under fire for taking his Sunday Service to the Houston megachurch of controversial televangelist Joel Osteen. Kanye West will take his Sunday Service to televangelist Joel Osteen's Houston-based Lakewood Church this week. The rapper has come under fire for teaming up with the controversial preacher, who has been criticized for reaping in millions in donations every year, yet failed to help those most in need on their doorstep.
Osteen famously refused to open the doors to the megachurch, which has space for at least 16,000, to evacuees of Hurricane Harvey. Critics joked that Kanye, who is also no stranger to controversy and once called slavery a 'choice', teaming up with the televangelist was 'an early warning sign of the apocalypse.' Many said the pair 'deserved each other.'
West and a choir will perform in the 7pm Sunday Service at the religious institution, Donald Iloff, Jr., a spokesperson for the church, told the Houston Chronicle Tuesday. West, 43, and Osteen, 56, will chat earlier at the 11am service Sunday for about 15-20 minutes, Iloff said, adding Osteen 'will talk about Kanye’s journey to his faith.'
4. Sarah Palin and Todd Palin‘s divorce after 31 years of marriage just got even more shocking. The 2008 vice presidential candidate, 55, revealed in an interview with Christian broadcaster Dr. James Dobson, that she learned the news from an email sent by one of Todd’s attorney — not from her husband of over three decades. Todd, as HollywoodLife previously told you, filed for divorce on his 55th birthday, September 6. But the initial email from Todd’s attorney came in June, according to the former Alaska governor. “I found out from an email from an attorney saying that she was hired and that was on June 19th, I’ll never forget it,” Sarah said in her November 12 interview with Dr. James Dobson’s Family Talk. Then on Todd’s birthday, a week after our 31st anniversary is when he filed, yeah. Oh, yeah. It’s not easy to talk about.”
Sarah and her five kids whom she shares with Todd, were understandably distraught by his decision. “It was devastating. I thought I got shot,” she confessed in her interview. “I’m sure so many of you either — maybe you’ve been through [divorce] or you have people whom you love — you’ve witnessed how horrible it is. But I just think, wow, maybe except for the death of a child, I don’t know what could be more… Yeah, it hurts.” But despite these two egregious acts, Sarah told the Christian author that they’re not finalizing their divorce just yet. “It’s not over yet… we’re going through counseling now, so it’s not over, over,” she said. “Attorneys are getting rich off of us and I don’t like that whole system. It makes no sense to me.”
Sarah and Todd eloped and had five kids together — Bristol, Willow, Track, Piper, and Trigg, as well as give grandchildren. At 11-years-old, Trigg is their only minor, and the couple share joint custody. She mentioned that their children are not happy with what they’re “witnessing,” motivating her and Todd to work on their marriage. Todd’s divorce papers cite “incompatibility of temperament between the parties such that they find it impossible to live together as husband and wife.”
5. Tamra Judge attended therapy with her 33-year-old son Ryan Vieth in the Nov. 12 episode of ‘The Real Housewives of Orange County’ and they both emotionally opened up about their rough past as mother and son.
It was an intense episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County on Nov. 12 and it all had to do with Tamra Judge, 52, and her son Ryan Vieth, 33. The concerned mother joined Ryan for a therapy session with Dr. Mcayla Sarno in a powerful scene and admitted she feels like she let him down when he was growing up and has fears about his unhappiness now. The reality star encouraged Ryan to go to therapy earlier in the season of the show after he admitted to feeling stuck and she was invited to attend one of his sessions to discuss their relationship.
“He’s not in a good headspace and I hate to see him struggle,” Tamra said in the episode. “I feel like he’s at a point in his life when he’s just numb to life. When Ryan gets overloaded with things, he just kind of shuts down. He’s at that point in his life right now where he’s not happy, and I want to see him happy.”
She became emotional when Dr. Sarno asked her to describe what it was like for Ryan growing up, which led to her admitting her guilt. “I was 17 when I got pregnant with Ryan,” she explained in a shaky, tearful voice. “I was still in high school.” She went on to talk about getting married to Ryan’s father and it lasting “probably a year”.
“Ryan and I were alone, the two of us, for 13 years” she continued. “I carry guilt ’cause I feel like I let him down. I look at my kids now and the opportunities that they have. I got two kids in college now. Ryan never… He ran out of the house at 18 ’cause he couldn’t stand his stepdad. He doesn’t want to be controlled, he doesn’t want to be told what to do, so he fights life.”
In an on-camera interview, Ryan also admitted to feeling resentment toward his other siblings because although he didn’t have the worst life, he feels they received more opportunities than he did. After raising Ryan alone, Tamra married her second husband, Simon Barney in 1998 and had three children with him, including Sidney Barney, 20, Spencer Barney, 18, and Sophia Barney, 13, before they divorced in 2011.
Ryan became a father four years ago when his daughter, Ava, was born from a previous relationship and Tamra also touched upon how seeing him with his own child affects her. “You are a good dad,” she said to him as they both cried in the session. “But I see that he’s putting all of his energy — all of it — into her. He is so troubled by his past that he doesn’t want her to have that life. “I can look at my son’s eyes and see he’s just not himself,” she later said in a confessional. “He just wants to protect this little girl so much, like just smother her, and he doesn’t let other people in. He isolates himself with Ava, and it’s starting to concern me.”
Perhaps the most emotional part of the session was when Dr. Sarno read Ryan’s written down beliefs to Tamra. “I’m a bad person, worthless. I’m a failure. Can’t succeed. Powerless. I don’t belong. I don’t matter,” the list read. “It just makes me wanna die,” Tamra responded in her confessional. “I worry that one day Ryan might commit suicide. That’s my biggest, biggest fear.” Tamra later told her husband Eddie Judge, 46, about the session and praised his wife even though she was clearly upset about the difficult situation. “Tamra’s a great mom with all her children. Every kid is different,” he said on camera. “Some need to be coddled, some need to be motivated, some need a kick in the ass. When you’re struggling with your childhood issues as a man, I don’t think you’re a man, k? So just get over it, move on, grow up, take care of your responsibilities. That’s life.”
