10th tumblr birthday post wahoo

so i wanted to make a post for the 10th anniversary of me joining yknow... thats like a big and round number... it's still november 16th for me here so just in time haha

tagged by @autumnbois to reveal my top 9 movies which was a challenge bc I really do not watch a lot of movies and when I do I usually forget about them pretty quickly

In alphabetical order bc I couldn't make an actual top list

1. Birds of Prey was just a very entertaining movie, I had a lot of fun watching it and couldn't stop grinning

2. Bolt is my childhood favourite, that movie was my whole personality for at least 3 years. It has action it has comedy it has heart it has cute animals.

3. Boy. Oh boy. This movie altered my brain chemistry. It was all I could think about for three days straight and after that it was always in the back of my mind waiting to just randomly come to the front and make me cry again. Taika's best movie imo

4. Inside Out is pixar at its finest. Fantastic animation, a solid story, believable characters and a good message. When Riley broke down I was sobbing.

5. Jojo Rabbit. Another Taika film what a surprise. This movie has so much heart and somehow manages to ride the line between making fun of nazis and their idiology while still acknowledging how dangerous and harmful they are. Every performance is fantastic, its visually stunning and absolutely heartbreaking.

6. The Old Guard. Immortal Gays. Charlize Theron. European actors. Fun action.

7. Tick tick boom. I cried, I laughed, I sang along. Andrew Garfield is absolutely brilliant in this film.

8. What We Do In The Shadows. Yet another Taika film to no one's surprise. Every single scene is iconic. So many quotable lines. Viago is my wife. Comfort movie 10/10

9. X-Men First Class. Tbh this is mostly here bc I ran out of movies for this list. James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender are amazing as Charles and Erik, individually and together. I love the x men so fucking much and cherik will always be one of my favourite ships.
