Rap Dolls (Mischa x Jane/Penny): I kinda also don't see potential with this, they're more like chaotic siblings in my eyes tbh but if you ship them, good on you

Rap Angel/Angel Accent (Mischa x Tammy): guys, what??? To the 0.01% who ship this, I need to know who you are, scratch that, come here I need to study you under a microscope

hey a little tag game i want to try!!! order your favorite twst dorms from least fave to favorite!

Scarabia: their characters on their own are good but seeing them together makes me extremely uncomfortable?? it’s probably because the orientalism plus people shipping together..it’s not jamil and kalims fault but i have a complicated relationship with scarabia

Octavinelle: idk they just don’t stand out to me. jade is neat but i feel like the tweels are overhyped. don’t really have an opinion about azul

Savanaclaw: again the characters are great but. as a whole they don’t stand out to me. i love jack and ruggie but leona 😬 if you got rid of the sarcasm and smug expression he would be a cool character (i kin him more than i would like) but i feel like he’s wasted potential. also book 2 was the hardest to get through because it was so boring it really did them dirty

Heartslabyul: the card guys!! don’t really care much about them either..i usually like alice in wonderland vibes but their dorm uniforms are the worst things i’ve ever seen. WHY DO THEY WEAR T-SHIRTS?? other than that i don’t have much to say about them.

Pomefiore: THE GAYS okay they’re awesome. this is mostly because of rook i just really like rook. and rookvil. epels great to actually. also on the complete opposite note their dorm uniforms are amazing (maybe even my favorite) i would totally wear them myself. but even though they’re in the top three i don’t really think about them more than any of the other dorms.

Ignihyde: okay of course my second favorite dorm is the cute family. what did you expect. but also they are so interesting?? book 6 has been the best book so far especially with all the lore. also ortho is best boy AND LITERALLY A ROBOT. how can you not like precious robot boy who loves his brother. also their designs are cool the hades hair and teeth are very gender.

Diasomnia: you already knew this was coming. my beloved dark romanticism found family dorm<33 i am literally obsessed with them okay. not only are their designs peak gender but they’re WRITING is so. augh. just the contrast between them. we got two faes who are centuries old and have experienced years upon years of hardship. war. suffering. and then we have two (one and a half) humans who have never experienced loss. or grief. they are honest and hardworking and loyal, they represent youth and joy!! and yet they all have so much LOVE and TRUST for eachother it makes me go INSANE!!!! also you can never miss with gothic aesthetics and fairies…literally the greatest thing out there

anyways in conclusion i think any dorm that isn’t diasomnia and doesn’t have tragedy and fate weaved inside them are plain and boring. if i placed your favorite dorm low feel free to tell me why im wrong and why they are the best!! i would love to hear :)) (also feel free to include ramshackle too)

hmmm depends on why the darling is frightened tbh are they always afraid or is this started after cerelos took them the first time? i do imagine he'd be pretty upset and even offended, though he won't outwardly show his feelings. he'd probably start ordering the servants to disappear whenever the darling is in sight, be invisible, to further isolate them, to force them either to face their loneliness and/or accept cerelos as their emperor and husband. since humans are in nature social, they'd naturally long for some form of company and possibly some skin to skin contact.

in short, since the coecrced sex doesn't seem to do enough, cerelos would've likely infict some psychological damages on his darling to force them to accept him. he wouldn't be…physically abusive, no, but he will emotionally and mentally cripple his darling without relying on cruel words and uses some amount of gaslighting.

If you ever feel like your AU doesn’t have an impact outside the Hollow Knight community, or even within, here’s a story for you.

I’ve had a crush on a guy since April, but hadn’t told him since he was with someone until August and has been recovering from the breakup ever since. Entirely coincidentally, April was when I found your AU. On Monday of this week, my crush said that he thought he was in love with someone else. I got really scared. I had been silent for months, and now I might not get the chance to tell him I love him. I got him to tell me the full details of what was going on, and on Tuesday, my fate seemed ambiguous. He and his crush wanted to start a relationship, but both parties needed time to work things out. I had some hope, but I didn’t know how long it would last.

In need of comfort, I turned to Tumblr. Grimm and FPK were one of the first things to appear on my dash. It got me thinking about Grimm’s story and how he felt he lost FPK by not acting sooner. By keeping his feelings to himself, he nearly lost the one he loved. Grimm got a second chance to finally spill the truth, but who knew if I would. When his second chance came, he didn’t hesitate. He and FPK became a thing right then and there. I learned a valuable lesson in that moment: life takes some drastic turns, and when that happens, if you have time, just get things off your chest.

F it, I said. I asked my crush for an update. He said his relationship with his crush might not go anywhere. All clear. I then asked we could have a long discussion later that day. He said sure. We hopped on call, and I confessed to him. I let out everything I’ve been harboring since April and told him I love him.

Neither of us are ready for a relationship at this point and we still haven’t met in person, so we’re not dating right now, but it feels great to finally get everything out after so long. And hey if he ever wants to get back into a relationship, he knows I’m free, and that I’d be down to have one.

Long story, I know. But I really wanted to share this. Had FPK and Grimm not existed on my dash at that moment, I don’t think I would have gotten up the courage to say it. Confessing is terrifying, but the gay bugs are powerful, and the gay bugs gave me strength. If the gay bugs can finally make use of the time they’re given to be with their lover and express their love, so can this gay boy. I guess what I really mean to say is…

gosh you have no idea how much seeing this made me smile (and nearly tear up) while on the bus home. i didn't really know what to say when i first read this, i'm still not quite sure how to respond now. but i mean it in the best way possible

augh like ik i'm not ftm im not trans and i dont need to understand my gender it can be confusing and weird forever and thats fine but like some things just dont really make sense girl... felt so surprisingly euphoric today when ian said i could pass as a man if i wanted to without medically transitioning. stared at the mirror looking at myself as if i was a boy and i felt so not insecure about my face suddenly. when i was younger whenever i would self-insert myself into media i enjoyed i was almost always a gay man ???. when making dnd characters i always go naturally to being a boy character, forced myself to be a girl that one time cause i was like "oh it's weird if i keep being a boy thats what trans people do". but then the idea of transitioning makes me sad and i don't like it when people perceive me as a boy but then again do i not like them perceiving me as a boy or do i not like having a conforming gender?? would i like it if they perceived me as a boy while i'm wearing a dress or something? ??? ermmmmm. wtv. need to find someone with the same gender thoughts as me that already has it figured out so they can explain it to me like i'm a little toddler

okay. trying again with hunger games au.

I think 1 small change I'll make is that I dont wanna age everyone down so I'm just gonna say that the hunger games is for adults too lol.

grian lives in district 11 with his slightly younger brother, Jimmy, and his twin sister, Pearl. (I cant decide if they're fraternal twins or identical and Grian is trans)

his parents illegally hunted to keep them all fed and they taught grian and pearl to hunt too. grian now hunts with the family friend Joel, who also hunts for his small family of his own. they've had to hunt more often as of late (around the time of the reaping(the thing of picking the tributes)) because joel has recently gotten married (lizzie cameo!!)

grian himself doesnt find himself very interested in romance (hes very aromantic coded, he only had a small crush on scar when they were kids and he just has other things to focus on, much like katniss) and he doesnt really get it but hes fine with staying out in the woods later with joel if they need more food if he needs it. joel usually gives him the pelts of extra game to sell at the market so it's a good deal. joel, him, and jimmy are kind of a little friend group in the district (bad boys bad boys)

scar is a baker who the bad boys work with on occasion, mostly getting him stuff because he isn't really allowed out of the house much (its parent stuff, they wont let him move out or leave even tho hes an adult but like he just lives with it bcuz the economy n stuff is so bad that if he left to build his own life hed prolly end up on the streets for a long time)

they mostly go to the black market for him for getting like sugar and they help get baking stuff for him in return for lots of bread. this started back when he and grian were young and scar had to throw out burnt bread and his ma hit him and grian found it like a lil feral animal and paid scar back with a dead rabbit (this is based off a scene in the hunger games but tweaked a bit) and they've been trading ever since. grian wouldnt say they were friends but scar is a sweetheart. hes surprised someone could be kind in the world they live in.

anyways jimmy gets chosen as tribute, grian volunteers to replace him, and then scar is chosen. nobody volunteers for him, which breaks both of their hearts a bit.

their mentor is Martyn and their stylist is a man who goes by the name S. Major who grian swears hes met before

training montage, dressup montage, very gay denial scarian montage, and bam. the games start.

I'm not 100% on who the participants in the game will be because I wanna keep a lot of players alive to be other characters, but also I think grian should 100% group with the southlanders. but that means theyd die and. I dont wanna do that. maybe mumbo could die? maybe hes like rue. but... augh... but martyn is like the mentor so he isnt IN the games...

this is always what gets me.

okay so blah blah blah, shit happens, scar loses one of his legs and gets all bloodthirsty about it, they almost commit a double suicide, and the game ends.

I think bigb will be kinda like plutarch? idk. I think characters wont fit super properly into the roles (like I kinda want secret soulmate crumbs but also if you think of them as Katniss and plutarch its weirrdd yk???)

🍎 RED APPLE — where was your oc born? do they still live in/around their place of birth or do they live somewhere else? how do they feel about their birthplace?

He was born in a small town outsideof Detroit! He now lives in Detroit proper so like an hour ish drive from the outskirts or an hour and a half/two hours from other parts of the city. im tempted to make it Cement City but i haven't decided the canon location yet. want to consult with ST in case he was planning anything relating to it.

he has no desire to move back, but i wouldn't say it is wholly negative. there's good and bad memories there. Overall he dislikes the place and would describe it as "kind of a backwater, not interesting whatsoever, and very... conservative." lol.

💙 BLUE HEART — does your oc have any cool/special powers and/or abilities? how are they with magic, if it exists in their world?

YEAA HE IS MY SPECIAL BOYYY ok. He has blood sorcery, which is normal for Tremere, sure. He's good at it! 3 dots right now which is fairly experienced and exceptionally high for someone who has only been dead for 8 months <3 also he has premonition due to some weird sigil Julius put on his back despite not having the normal auspex dots required for it. Also he knows how to scry on people, and how to force a group premonition, both of which are homebrew technically. also he knows blood strike which is from older editions and its mega op. he got to learn it cause he did Good on Julius Quests <3 and got a good grade in serving Julius which is both Normal to Want and Possible to Achieve of course. <3 augh. what a guy.

😊 SMILING FACE WITH SMILING EYES — what are your oc's career/general life desires? what do they want to get the most out of life?

Ohhh wow yea this changed after his embrace for sure. Right now... he desires to please Julius first and foremost unfortunately. but he does have wants outside of that. He wants to get in a position where he feels safe; he wants to interview elders on history; he wants to spend days upon days researching history... i also think that now that he's undead his beast does want him to have some level of authority and so sure he wants some level of authority over other vampires as well. not a lot but enough to feel more secure. he feels somewhat entitled to it due to being Julius's childe and due to being well. generally good at things and advancing quickly in the Camarilla/Tremere. nepo baby

But yeah Mark dream: hermit house, comes down occsionally to Exert Authority; safe enough to interview elders; stable enough to spend days reading.

Oh and also important: he does NOT want to become out of touch like he has seen many other kindred become. it disgusts him. he feels Superior for not being out of touch. he SMIRKS when kindred don't know how to use phones. he appreciates cassidy trying to keep up with things despite being old so instead of feeling superior it endears him hehehehe gayass.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 FAMILY WITH MOTHER, FATHER, SON AND DAUGHTER — how many people are in your oc's immediate family? how many people are in your oc's extended family? do they have aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, etc? who in their family are they closest with? are they close with their birth family, or do they have a found family?

FUCK i haven't thought about extended family. might confer with ST to answer. He has no siblings though, just mom and dad. he is not close with any of them. I imagine a lot of the extended family dropped him when they found out he was gay :( but yes regardless of if he has extended family, they are not close. Mark has no found family at the moment <3 lonely boy. for a minute there it looked like it could happen with Sampson and his friends/family but then he got embraced and lost that <3 he so Lonely now <3

Yesterday I had to explain several times to my whole class that emo music doesn't in fact make us want to kill ourselves

TONYYYY BABY DARLINGGGGG <3333

Sexuality Headcanon: GAY AND T4T AS HELL like there is no denying tony loves boys, you’d have to be pretty blind to how obvious his crush and love and care for jeff is throughout the game. of course, one could argue just because he crushes on jeff, doesn’t mean he can’t for girls. But come on be real, tony wouldn’t like girls other than just having a good amount of besties he’s close to. Tony is Gay and very much Proud of if, and she’s kinda become the sorta spokesperson of gender and sexuality for his closest friends/those he loves. Going more into her gayness and attraction, very obvious tony has a thing for shy, passionate nerds that he can also dote on affectionately (jeff hehe). She’s a bit of a nerd herself in some aspects, but jeff outweighs on that by a long shot and adores that part of him <3

Gender Headcanon: tony is a he/she feminine trans boy who’d say her gayness is a factor in her gender. Ever since he was little, tony’s always had a liking to the stereotypical “girl” interests and likings from loving pink, frilly/pretty clothing, partaking in pretend tea parties and baking, anything that again, would be deemed a solely “girl” trait. And none of that ever goes away, because that’s just what tony loves. Coming out and transitioning into a boy, tony’s confident stride takes that liking into another level of self identity. She might’ve started off with just he/him pronouns because it’s the “boy” pronouns, but i think given her self awareness and pride in femininity, tony would include in she/her pronouns (and own it). As for gay being a facet of her gender, it really comes into play as she comes to realize being t4t. This sorta connection and self love in loving those like you that reflects on yourself, simply just being a boy that loves boys but in a transgender way because of unique experiences and worldviews that comes with, tony is all about that :)

A ship I have with said character: JEFFTONYYYYY <33333 augh, they’re absolute sweethearts man, one of the very very few things that make me alloromantic (aside from marshple) lol.

Tony is super caring and shows concern for jeff when he literally just gets out of bed, hell, she had a dream about them two… it’s so insane. Throughout the snowwood portion, all tony has shown is how much he looks out for jeff by helping it around to leave and head out on it’s quest with ness and paula. Even at their departure and split, tony tells him “remember, we’re best friends!”... actually making me tear up as i type this ahah even when tony was held captured with many others, the one she calls out for is jeff of all people, both for the fact that she hopes he saves him and misses him so, but she believes in jeff and it’s capabilities. Even after being rescued, she tells ness “im jeff’s best friend”, to firmly state his position in their relationship, it’s so silly and cute <3 and the phonecall OHHHHHH ohhhh the phonecall… there’s just so much worry and anxiety and tenderness in her tone and wording… because tony truly misses jeff and wants it to be okay :,( just writing about that phonecall isn’t enough oh my god. One of the moments ever in that game. And then there’s the letter she sends to jeff… how much she misses him and is waiting back at the school… and states how she’ll be sure to clean it’s glasses… ugh…

And that’s just the tony side of the pairing! Jeff doesn’t speak much of tony in the game, but it isn’t until the letter at the end where jeff says outloud “that tony has a heart of gold…” that’s just so simplistic yet telling of jeff’s feelings of her. He’s not one to talk so much of his own feelings let alone just talk in general, but it’s clear it’s aware of tony’s caring attitude towards him. That statement speaks volumes in how jeff feels of her, as i can imagine it being a little flustered and in this unknowing state of love reminiscing on tony, knowing she’ll be back at the boarding school waiting for him

There’s just so much love and heart in those two kids man, by canon alone it’s chock full of their undying bond. Asking me about headcanons between the two ahhhh man… staying up late playing games that were snuck in by maxwell, talking back and forth listening intently about the others’ interests, baking and cooking for the other to indulge in their heartwarming crafts, helping the other out during study sessions, pulling off pranks, going out for walks in Winters’ snow filled landscape, christmas celebrations together… seriously man there’s just so much you can make of these two im forever obsessed <3

A BROTP I have with said character: being a little basic here, but im fond of tony and ness’s friendship being rooted in their shared love of music together! Ness, you can assume by his default “PK Rockin”, would be super into almost any rock genre and music overall (a bit of an oldhead. Also would play guitar). Tony struck me as someone who would study music and sing, and because of how much my boyfriend and i exchange so many thoughts about jefftony, tony being into bubblegum pop and punk. A lot of what them two listen to are somewhat obscure and not in the range of what their generation would listen to, so finding out the other is into this old band as well would lead to sharing in vinyls and CD’s and tapes and showing each other the music they’re into #autisticswagger

A NOTP I have with said character: anyone that isn’t jeff </3

A random headcanon: not mine specifically (props to my boyfriend) but i stand by it very much because I Agree, tony has PTSD from that hostage event in the game where she was, along with others, in those tubes held captive. Such a thing happening to a kid would obviously leave tony scarred and frightened about it, left with nightmares and terrors of the same happening again, or even worse involving either her or jeff :( of course, jeff would be the first she’d go over to for comfort, needing to be by him in bed or held and comforted through means of distraction and reassurement. Maxwell would also help in too, being older than them two, he takes responsibility and action in not only giving a step-in for gaurdian support, but maybe even helping her get some form of professional help too? point is, tony developed ptsd as a result of that hostage, and was left scared and afraid of it happening once more... she'd be a little more cautious and anxious than usual especially towards jeff, and it does chew a bit at her state. thankfully, tony has a very supportive group of friends around him who not only listen to what he's so afraid of and why, but console and offer aid in mending that mentality without judgement. she deserves the love and all else <3

LET'S GOOOOO okay it's Thoughts Hour here at chez gav altschmerzes [cracks knuckes]

there SURE WERE and once again we get a disorganized bullet point mess of My ThoughtsTM

first off, i did indeed enjoy it in cosymode once more and this will be a recurring ritual. cannot recommend it more highly. cosymode my beloved. really enhances the experience even if it does mean i get Imprisoned By A Creature as soon as the episode ends (climbed on by my cat)

we still don't know what zava's first name is. it is still distracting me.

COLIN'S BF (!!!!!!!!) SEEMS SWEET I LIKE HIM A LOT

oh my gd all the stuff with colin in this episode was absolutely brutal. i have a..... Hard Time with narratives around being closeted just on a personal emotional level but overall i'm like, invested as hell and i love that they went this direction with him. BOY it'll be interesting to see how they handle it going forward. juxtaposing the two moments he has with isaac in this episode, the "haha that's a little gay" comment that obviously hit hard and then that sincere like, checking on him, you're gonna be alright, thing later was like. damn. damn, damn. that hit.

also - when shandy said that thing about saying something shocking in an interview i was like oh no oh boy oh no Oh Boy- colin, honey-

something is. Up. with shandy. i don't know what or how it's gonna manifest but. something is up there and idk what. there's the same sort of tense feeling to her scenes as there are with keeley's company scenes. something's on the horizon.....

also i have to believe that trent isn't going to out colin, for the record. i just don't think he's gonna do that. i have reasons, but i don't think i even really need reasons, i think it's just..... i don't think it's particularly likely even.

speaking of zava, when i said last week that i was either gonna be riveted or i was gonna want this guy outta my face right now? IT IS BOTH, IT TURNS OUT. i do not like him. i think he's bad news and i think he's like, bad news in a very insidious way. i feel like...... it was fine in this episode - again, this is a comedy, i am aware of the genre and what it encompasses - but if this like. everyone's sycophantic adoration of him stretches on much longer it's gonna grate on me real bad. this was probably the episode where i had the most acute awareness that i was Watching A Comedy than any other episode, i had to do more like, averting my eyes and trying not to fast forward in this ep than in any of the previous ones. which is fully a me thing! this a me problem! i am not a comedy guy and i am watching a comedy. but oh my gd.

getting to see sam's restaurant coming together was so, so fucking good. he was so excited and happy and i'm so thrilled to see that all start to pay off. he's so proud of what he's done here and he SHOULD be. ugh i just love to see sam successful and thriving and everyone is so happy for him [sobs into my hands] isaac being like no. you do not understand. it is the best. was so funny and very sweet. i loved it, augh.

AND THE JAMIE OF IT ALL. oh my gd. he was having a bad one this whole episode and i kind of loved it because we know me, we're realistic about who i am as a person. i love characters having a bad time sldfks as long as we're gonna do something with it. and BOY DID WE.

boy they really did get me with like. the bit in zava's first match where he tells jamie to get open and he'll find him i did have a MOMENT where i was like okay maybe he's just kind of eccentric but overall fine, maybe i was wrong and he just grates on my nerves a bit. but WHOOF. nope. so he was just fucking with jamie orrrr because. yipes!

and man the timing of seeing zava call jamie over and say something to him being when ted's almost panic attack starts is like. [shrieks into my hands] he's already amped up about henry and then he sees this interaction happening and doesn't know what's going on and it's like. jamie just told him he's got concerns about this guy and now he might be messing with him and it clearly set ted off. aaaaAAAUGH.

i'm just. so proud of jamie tbh. he isn't throwing a fit, he's celebrating these wins, he very maturely and reasonably expressed his concerns which i think he's right about - i think roy thinks he's right too, based on his face during that scene. i was really gratified for that like, i was being a hypocrite thing at the end bc it made it clear that like, this isn't the show making a 'haha see he doesn't even realize that's exactly what HE is, he's still the same....' joke. his discomfort with zava isn't just played off and i really enjoyed that.

THE WHOLE THING WITH ROY. LIKE- every time he noticed jamie was having a hard time this episode he like. seemed to be making a note of it? he didn't snort and shake his head or smirk or whatever, at least not more than once-ish, he like. noticed, made a note, and seemed worried about it. and then at the end he not only went over to check on jamie at the restaurant he offered to work with him directly? without being prompted? i could shriek.

everything about that conversation made me lose my mind. jamie's earrings were FANTASTIC. the like- 'you thought i was the best' 'you still could be' [screams into my hands] 'only if you fucking mean it' i.e. the same thing roy said to phoebe's team, and the VERY PAINSTAKINGLY SINCERE 'i do mean it' i could've CRIED.

as i said to a friend earlier, their dynamic is a rich tapestry of things that make me fully insane

(to have a bit of a gripe - we got a couple of That's A Bit Much moments in this episode too. ted agreeing that yeah, fragile little bitch is pretty much what he meant, was weird and out of step. and then roy smacking the utensil or whatever out of jamie's hand which clearly startled him at minimum at the end of the episode was like... hoo boy. we're doing this i guess. it's not the type of thing i'd like, zoom in and harp on if it weren't for everything i already talked about in the previous episode. just like. again. i keep coming back to this phrase but It's A Bit Much. i was worried i might lose steam for my 3x02 tag after the new ep but nah, i am still amped up for it.)

(oh another gripe real quick - ho boy so dr jacob is just like, the shittiest therapist, eh? like, that whole thing is. "For a long moment, Grian stares at them, mind as fresh and blank as new snow. It feels like he’s circling something, drawing inexplicably closer to its event horizon with each new revolution– like any minute now it will pull him in, and he’ll fall, forever tumbling to regain his balance."

"It only takes a few simple ingredients to invert a healing potion. All he needs after that is a little time to brew them, when nobody else is looking."

"Three or four." Grian keeps his face carefully neutral. "I dunno, maybe five?"

"It's a familiar tic, and the aching thing in Grian's chest spiderwebs out in fragile fractures. He's never enjoyed lying. Half-truths, sure, and he's always loved a good loophole– but outright lying? That's not his normal style. Tango is right, five is an absurd number– it's a miracle he's even entertaining the thought."

"But five will be enough to make sure. No last minute resurrections, no sudden rescues. Just himself, the void, and the universe they all belong to. He wonders if it will sing to him as his code falls apart."

"You weigh like, nothing, dude," Tango informs him, and there's a little hitch in his voice Grian doesn't want to parse. It makes something in his chest shudder and curl up, tight and cold. "What the hell."

there's something so infinitely funny to me about the direct contrast between the narration and the dialog- its like tango is a muppet starring on a Noir film. very good.

Grian's chuckle is a small, reluctant thing, breaking in his throat midway, but Tango's entire demeanor brightens as if he'd burst out into howling laughter. Something swells in the air around them, and it takes a moment for Grian to pinpoint that feeling as hope.

HEAD IN HANDS orz I'M- (sobs) I'm a weak man i see hope and i go nuts

Maybe it's the knee-jerk fear that makes Grian do it, the bone-deep terror that this will somehow pollute his resolve– or maybe it's just cruel impulse. Either way, this question has been spinning in his mind ever since they found him in the void, and Grian blurts it out before he can swallow it back down. "Why are you even here?"

i loooooove dread and terror man, hooting and hollering for cruel impulses

"I'm serious, man." Tango sets his jaw, then heaves a sigh, glancing up at the ceiling. One foot taps anxiously against the wooden floor. "It's… okay. Okay, I’ll admit it. It's actually because of Jimmy." It takes a beat for that to sink in. When it does, Grian’s eyebrows rocket into his hairline, incredulous. "Tim?"

i know it will get worse before it gets better. but i can't help but to hope and i think that's a wonderful thing to achieve while writing angst <3

if you could pick one non-kazumaji ship to make canon, what would it be?

ok, this answer is actually pretty easy for me despite literally never posting about them. it's saemaji for sure

they're wonderful. they're everything. they're the ideal for folks who wanna throw their partners around/be flung around by their partners (me). their story is insanely gorgeous and has so much potential. the longing for decades apart, the uncertainty of betrayal, the reuniting after 25 years only to be torn apart again, the trust, the familiarity, and yet the pain over never being quite what they used to be, of missing so much. "we used to burn so damn bright" like. AUGH. im a real sucker for relationships with Context (i.e. they knew each other when they were younger and/or there's a long gap of separation in the relationship) and boy do they have it. and there's before the ueno seiwa hit, there's after when they're living in separate hells, theres post prison break where majima prepares to have his kyodai rip his head off, has been waiting for 25 years, and he doesn't, etc. like they have phases that are all just. mwah. if they were canon in a way that negated kazumaji somehow (i.e. "majima can't be with kiryu bc he's waiting for saejima 🥺🥺🥺") even if the logic wasn't that sound (polycule! polycule! polycule!) i would accept it completely and say thank you. they're incredible. i love kazumaji but saemaji is similarly powerful in ways not reflected in fan approach and content and that genuinely surprises me.

i also think they would be the most insane and potentially positive in terms of queer rep (the only het ship I really considered was akihana). putting the minedai fans (me) to rest by confirming it completely is also tempting, but like. they're close enough to me. i don't want to waste my wish on a relationship that's getting gay buried anyway. i like ichi's relationships but none enough to rival saemaji. i like saebaba but baba hasn't been brought back yet and i don't think he will in any major way. meanwhile saejima and majima keep coming back stronger and stronger and gayer every game and they're practically inseparable at this point they're married. they're larger than life and impossible to ignore and have so much to dig into and i think it would be good for them for me and for all of us thank you
