❤ She likes the fact that she doesn't have to pretend to be something she's not. This is in the sense that whenever she's around people who are outgoing and extroverted, she feels an annoying urge to stop being the outcast, and this results in her completely leaving the situation. She should not have to conform for people to like her, and you don't care about the way she is.

❤ You know better than to correct her on something investigation-based. She will figure out the case anyway, plus it annoys her. You just stare at those pretty eyes of her as they phase in and out of reality. She's always been a hard thinker.

❤ Something you do that does freak her out a little bit is when you just sit in the living room and stare at the wall. She comes home to find you like this, almost as if you don't know what to do without her. The outside world is boring, anyway. You don't go out unless you have something truly important to do, and she knows that, so in the times she's come home and you weren't there it stresses her out, because what on Earth would you consider important?

❤ She likes brushing your cheek with her hand whenever she tells you to lighten up. Sometimes you'll even lean into her touch.

❤ The two of you have that relationship where she (in a positive way) feels as if it's the 'treats everyone like ass but treats me good so I feel special' dynamic. Whenever you do something kind for her she automatically melts.

There's been a big lore update with Selkie AU that I haven't gotten around to talking about yet, so I figured I'd write up a little update post. I was kinda stagnant on ideas for a while, but a very nice person in my dms helped me shape the world a bit more!

The town that they live in is a seaside town, not very big and definitely capitalizing on Being a seaside town

Selkies are Not a widely known thing. Same as in reality, they are thought to be nothing but a legend and a mythical creature.

Ingo actually has selkie friends who he sees often and they go swimming out into the ocean. The waters are well traversed by Selkies so they know how to avoid running into humans out there. They may or may not know what each other look like in human form

The place where Ingo and Emmet have their alone time is a small lake that's more inland and a lot more private.

They have jobs! Emmet is a waiter at a restaurant and has picked up cooking tips and stuff from working there and has an asmr cooking channel dedicated to seafood. Ingo works at a tourist/curios shop and, with his selkie friends, collects cool items and sells them online (the prettiest and nicest stuff all goes to Emmet tho)

Emmet and Ingo in human form have very similar anatomy to humans except they have sharper teeth, lower body temperatures and their digestive system is Really Strong and can eat most raw seafood whole without getting sick.

They are both capable of understanding marine mammals, though seals, otters, walruses, etc are easier to understand and only Ingo can actually Speak back in seal form because his vocal cords are built for it whereas Emmet's are far too human to accomplish the task.

I love ASMR. I used to think ASMR was just when people whispered and I have never liked that shit. Then I discovered farrier ASMR like four years ago, and after that, soap cutting. I love soap cutting. I also love slime videos. I love plaster cracking AND wax cracking. I love all of it. (Except the chalk ones? FUCK that.)

But the thing I find the most all-around satisfying and relaxing is the Korean mukbang ASMRs. I mean specifically the ones where they don't talk and you only see their mouth down. I feel extremely alone in this take because most people hate hearing other people eat. But I love it. I love the ones where they eat sushi, or seafood and mushrooms. I love the ones where they cook the food first and then eat it. I hate the parts where they pour and sip their drinks because that part is kind of gross sounding somehow. Why is gulping any more gross than slurping? It isn't. My brain is just fucking odd. Obviously.

I don't even know why I'm making this post. I guess because I've been watching ASMR reels or YouTube videos before bed most nights for years and I never tell anyone because nobody can relate lol

I also got drunk tonight, so.

Butter, jam, or peanut butter.  What food do you eat the most? Chicken.

Do you like food? I do.  Do you LOVE food? I used to be a foodie, but then my health changed and I got eating and appetite issues. Due to that, I wasn’t eating nearly as much as I used to and I didn’t enjoy it like I used to either. I also only eat the same few foods, so even my options have dwindled. Eating often felt more like a chore.  Do you even eat at all? I ate, just not as much. Unfortunately, that led to other health issues. I’ve actually had a feeding tube for the past few months now, so I’ve just been getting the feeding tube formula stuff. I could still eat and drink actual food as well even with a feeding tube, but due to the fact I’ve also had a breathing tube and then switched to a trachea tube; I haven’t been able to eat or drink actual food at all. :/ I miss my favorite foods and my coffee so bad, it sucksss. I find myself craving so many things, even foods I wasn’t really eating before. A lot of things sound good right now.
