Tamlin Creator Appreciation: ashintheairlikesnow

Today's creator is @ashintheairlikesnow, an absolutely phenomenal writer we love to shower love on every Tamlin Week! Their Tamlin/Rhysand fic A Court of Lies and Resurrection is many people's first introduction to the ship, and is often the reason that people get into tamsand in the first place. It's so amazing and well-written that multiple people have had it bound into a physical book.

Summary of A Court of Lies and Resurrection:

Feyre is dead, torn apart by Amarantha when Tamlin did not send her away in time. Tamlin, forced to submit to Amarantha's terms, finds himself looking for help (and finding affection) in places he never expected, while Lucien allies with an ancient enemy (and one of Rhys's closest friends) to save him.

Danny and Nate ~ a video about their recovery together and quotes from their journey.

There are other quotes included as well which I liked and there are quite a few video clips of flowers or plants. For me plants are beautiful and I think they represent growth, new life, and all the amazing things which Danny and Nate are too. They are both growing and both recovering and I love them very much.

Sorry, it took so long to get back to this, but it has not left my mind since I read it. The possibilities are gorgeously whumpy.

Maybe in this universe, Shadow Knights have fallen to myth by the present.

Laurence is almost a safehouse cryptid (sorta like how Kauri appears on Nat's doorstep periodically in his Bad Decisions Phase for comparison) and drops off new runaways before vanishing again. Nobody knows anything about him besides his name; most shrug it off as he's vague for his protection.

But the runaways that meet him, especially the ex-guard dogs, seeing the distance in his eyes, his lightning-fast reflexes, and overall protectiveness, they see one of their own. Someone who's been broken for another's a pleasure and became reclusive to protect himself.

He's comforting, in a sense, that they know he understands.

Maybe rescues seek him out to get answers. Only coming back with more questions

GUYS, LOOK! My gf @copypastus printed my favorite ACOTAR fanfic for our anniversary! A Court of Lies and Resurrection by @ashintheairlikesnow! It's made to look like the original paperbacks in style and appearance, same font and everything. They didn't have the embossing or quite the same format at the printing place, but the cover text is shiny and other than that it's fitting in perfectly. It's freaking AMAZING (like the fanfic deserves, it's seriously so good you guys).

Introduction

Heya! My name's Harley, and my pronouns are they/them :)

I've been reading and writing whump for a long time now, but have lingered in the shadows for too long! I've finally had some inspiration and motivation to try posting some of my stuff, and fingers crossed I can keep up the momentum and update regularly if people like it <3

Before I even knew it was a thing, I've been working on a BBU-adjecent universe with dozens of characters. It's set in a modern fantasy world, where there are multiple races such as demonborn, werewolfs, dragonfolk, and so on living alongside humans in present day. Unfortunately in one country in particular, humans are seen as no more than slaves and cattle, and they have no legal rights or protection from the very hungry world around them >:)

I will do my best to tag all of my work accurately and reliably, but if I ever miss anything please just let me know and I'll fix it asap! As a general coverall warning, though, there will be a significant amount of violence, non/dubcon, and other 18+ nsfw content. I'll put a full list of things you can expect below the cut! I'd love to take prompts and requests, of any kind!
