Szeptember 28.

Érdekes nap. Emberi sorsok.

Szabadnapos voltam.

Olyan sokminden járt a fejemben.

Hol siklott ki az életem?

Valószínűleg már 10 éves koromban elkezdődött a borderline betegség kialakulása nálam.

Amikor a nővérem kezét fogtam, hogy betudja adagolni magának az aznapi heroin adagját.

Kisujj esküt tettem, hogy soha nem köpöm be.

Azt mondta, ha egyszer felnövök megtudom, mit jelent az orgazmus szó.

Mára már tudom.

Azt mondta : Timi, drága egyetlen húgocskám, minden alkalommal, mikor ezt teszem. Boldogság járja át a testem, mintha ezer orgazmusom lenne egyszerre.

Egyébként egy csodás lány volt, okos, szép.

Mindig felnéztem rá. A környezetem is.

Soha nem érhettem a nyomába.

20 éves korára, meg volt mindene, mama kedvence, örökölt házat. Autót, modellkedett, volt szakmája, tanult volt, jogosítványa. Minden alap tőkéje egy normális élethez.

Mentális betegségeket kaptam, örökségem ; egy halom tartozás, omló állapotban lévő falusi viskó, szorongás, depresszió, nulla önértékelés, megfelelési kényszer, naphosszat sorolhatnám eme értékes csodás dolgokat.

10 éves voltam mikor meghalt túladagolásban.

22 éves vagyok, nem jutottam még semmire, küzdök a mindennapokkal, 16 éves korom óta nem telt el nap, hogy ne dolgoztam volna.

Minden rosszban van valami jó, megtanultam ideje korán felnevelni magam.

Ő volt a tökéletesség megtestesülője én pedig a szerencsétlen, a semmirekellő, a csúnya.

Bár te haltál volna meg helyette.

A heroin függőség rossz aljas s sírba visz hamar.

Mára már azt kívánom, bár én haltam volna meg helyette.

As much as I love 3 Hopes, one of the things I'm disappointed about with this game is just how little Sothis is used. Or well, just how little we got from the whole Arval/Epimenides vs Sothis plot.

We see Sothis and Arval facing one another on the cover art, we saw that Arval had clear Agarthan themes in their design, we saw that in this game Sothis has her memories and is a lot crueler than she was in 3 Houses. It looked like they were setting up a big clash but that doesn't happen.

If you choose not to recruit Byleth, Sothis takes over and Shez is the one to take her down once and for all. Meanwhile if you choose to recruit Byleth, Arval/Epimenides takes over Shez and tries to kill Byleth before sending our protagonist and the lords to Zahras.

And while in some ways I can understand why they couldn't make this conflict bigger. Seeing as we have 3 unique routes to follow with the lords and all, if they made the whole conflict a larger part of the story the routes would probably be too similar. It's still disappointing that depending on your choices, either Sothis or Epimenides kind of fade into the background. You know their still there, watching, but they don't directly take over.

This is why I wish that we could have gotten a Silver Snow sort of route in 3 Hopes, but for Shez. Both because well... that route explains about Byleth's origins and the story of the Nabateans. So we could have found out things about our new protagonist seeing as we don't get a proper explanation, not even in the secret chapters. (other than the fact that Shez is a vessel)

But also because they could put the conflict between Sothis and Epimenides to the centre stage without taking away from any specific lord.

Instead at the moment it feels like each route kind of has two main stories in one. One is the lord's story, trying to achieve whatever goal they set out for. And the other being Shez's story, a story about wether on not to take out revenge and the consequences their choices bring. Less for all of Fodlan (seeing as apparently only SB's has a real consequences in the ending should you choose to kill Byleth. Though the endings are pretty ambiguous so who knows) but more for Shez and Arval themselves.

Maybe a potential DLC could add that? A 4th route would probably be too much but a side story at least, like Cindered Shadows? I still love this game despite it's flaws, but if we could get something that sheds light on all this I'd be very happy.
