The work "Black Couple in the Cotton Field, Woman with Yellow Cap" (or "Black Couple in the Cotton Field, Woman with Yellow Cap") is a painting by the American artist William Aiken Walker.

The painting depicts a common scene in the American South during the 19th century, when the southern economy depended heavily on cotton production and slavery.

"O Dinner, 1820" is one of the works of the famous French artist Jean-Baptiste Debret, who lived in Brazil during the 19th century. This painting depicts an everyday scene that was common in colonial and imperial Brazil, where slavery played a significant role in society and the economy.

Linking the two works in the context of black slavery in the USA and Brazil, the owner represents the mutual folklore of Halloween in North America and Saci Day in part of South America. The Cotton Picker in the mystique of Halloween, incorporates the entity of Saci, (a one-legged person) with a head borrowed from a pumpkin. Thus the head of the Master of the slaves was torn off. The woman wears masks.

The artist Mulinga describes the intervention in the work as a visual portrait of a series of events that happened after this fusion of legends from the Americas, in the context of the terror of Halloween.

A pintura retrata uma cena comum no Sul dos Estados Unidos durante o século 19, quando a economia do sul dependia fortemente da produção de algodão e da escravidão.

“O Jantar, 1820” é uma das obras do famoso artista francês Jean-Baptiste Debret, que viveu no Brasil durante o século XIX. Esta pintura retrata uma cena cotidiana comum no Brasil colonial e imperial, onde a escravidão desempenhou um papel significativo na sociedade e na economia.

Ligando as duas obras no contexto da escravidão negra nos EUA e no Brasil, o proprietário representa o folclore mútuo do Halloween na América do Norte e do Dia do Saci em parte da América do Sul. O Colhedor de Algodão na mística do Halloween, incorpora a entidade do Saci, (uma pessoa perneta) com cabeça emprestada de uma abóbora. Assim foi arrancada a cabeça do Senhor dos escravos. A mulher usa máscaras.

A artista Mulinga descreve a intervenção na obra como um retrato visual de uma série de acontecimentos ocorridos após essa fusão de lendas das Américas, no contexto do terror do Halloween.
