So I was inspired by Scott Christian Sava’s Art on YouTube and wanted to paint something with gouache. I have procreate but art set 4 is more realistic with its watercolors and oils and they do have a gouache paint as well. I couldn’t get it to behave the way I’ve seen gouache behave, but maybe because most of the app’s focus seems to be on oil and watercolor (which behave and look extremely realistic). Maybe I’ll buy a gouache set for procreate and try this reference again with that.

So I referenced Spike and I wasn’t being super serious about it, especially since I knew the color would be bad since I don’t paint at all. I do pencil drawings or comic style cell shading. So a bit through I realized I wanted to do what Scott did with his crazy colors… except I didn’t know how and it came out more like pop-art? I think? But idk I like it so I’m not gonna scrap it. I probably won’t paint again for a long time and probably will do this reference again as a 1 to 1 pencil drawing.

Also I didn’t know how to get rid of my sketch lines since I was painting as if it was paper. There are like no tutorials for this app :(
