artaius-rain:
Gods, what had he done to deserve this… Jihoon held Eiji closer, letting the shower form waterfalls over their bodies. The contrast, he thought for a moment, would’ve made a beautiful painting, with the tiny, almost doll-like were nearly hidden against Jihoon’s bulk. The boy was shaking like a leaf, and concern flooded his chest as he held Eiji against his chest. He lifted a hand, stroking the smaller male’s cheek, then his shoulder, shaking his head slightly.
“If he followed you, he’d be stopped at the door. And if, by some freak accident, he did get up here, I would protect you.” No one got through Jihoon’s security, except maybe the kind of being Jihoon considered ‘family’. But they were a circumstance all on their own, and the bear didn’t worry himself over things like that. Instead he dropped his voice to a more soothing tone, lowering his head to press his cheek against Eijims temple. “I promise. I’ll keep you safe.”
He leaned his cheek against the other’s hand closing his eyes for a second before opening them once more when the hand left his cheek and moved to his shoulder. The assurance the elder was giving him had Eiji calm down slowly. He nodded his head in understanding as the elder assured him that he would be safe in the house.
The moment Jihoon’s cheek touched his temple he closed his eyes once again. The renewal assurance had a very quiet whimper leave his lips before he jerkily nodded his head a tiny bit. “Thank you.” He spoke barely above a whisper, really thankful for the protection and assurance of said protection the elder was giving him.

artaius-rain:
The title was almost upsetting. From anyone else, in any other situation, Jihoon might not have accepted it. But he knew that Eiji didn’t intend for it to put up that distance. And he couldn’t honestly help it, having those mannerisms so deeply ingrained into him. As Eiji undressed Jihoon returned to the water, letting it splash over him along with that smooth, mellow jazz.
And when he saw that small, fragile boy holding himself like that, he reached out, gently pulling him into his arms. He felt as though he could break at any second, shatter into pieces. And for a moment, Jihoon felt as though he  might be one of the few things holding Eiji together. With a sigh he dropped his head, pressing a kiss to the top of the boy’s head. His own body was at least as scarred as Eiji’s if not more, but he had won those ridges. They were badges to him, some bitter, but all special to him. And he let his own body serve as a reminder. Eiji was a survivor, just like Jihoon. “Strong boy. It’s safe now.”
The moment the elder reached for him and pulled him into his arms and, subsequently, under the spray of water, Eiji wrapped his arms around him with a very tight grip, which wasn’t actually very tight for someone of his constitution. The fright of almost being caught for a second time since he ran away from his owner again, had him unable to control his tremors and he was shaking against the other as if he had been cold.
“I bumped into a client.” He began whispering. “He wanted to take me back... I ran from him... I.. I don’t know how but I did...” He spoke and when the kiss fell on his head he hid his face against Jihoon’s torso with a quiet whisper. At the reassurance the Were looked up. Gaze clearly frightened. “What if was able to follow me? What if he come here?” He asked as he voice showed still a tinge of panic and his hold tightened still.

artaius-rain:
He hadn’t necessarily wanted to take a shower, but he needed to. There was something about some of the work that he did that made Jihoon feel greasy. He might not have been physically dirty, but this was so much worse. So when he saw that anxious face, heard the caution in Eiji’s voice, Jihoon’s own expression softened, his heart melting a little. He motioned with one hand, nodding slowly.
“Of course you can. I didn’t mean to leave you alone so long. Goodness knows there’s enough room in here for both of us.” No exaggeration there. He liked having room to move when he showered, and preferred that rain-style shower. It just felt more natural to him, for obvious reasons. So the shower itself was spacious and relatively open, hemmed in by a sliding glass door. Steam clouded the glass, hanging thick in the air as the water continued to fall around him.
“It’s okay, sir.” He assured as he entered the room and going towards one of the sides of the bathroom he turned his back on the elder male and began taking his clothes off. It had taken him a while to stop calling Jihoon ‘sir’, like every other people he encounters in his life, but having crashed into a former client had returned his mindset to when he hadn’t been so close to the other and the title had returned.
He left his clothes on a neat pile before he walked into the shower. Jihoon seemed to had almost disappeared into the steam that was housed inside the shower. Silently sliding the shower door, the Were entered the shower but didn’t approached the other too much, wrapping his arms around himself to try to cover the multiple scars on his body, though they were still very visible. For a quiet, and sometimes needy, person like Eiji this behavior was strange for him.

Eiji had another close encounter with a former client and had to run. Where he was in the city the only place he could find refuge was Jihoon’s house. The other had greeted him into his house and though he looked frazzled he didn’t say what had made him that way, afraid that the mere mention of the episode would sprout the one he was fleeing from right there and then.
After a while, the taller male had said he was going to take a shower and when Eiji heard music he followed it to the source and opened the door, not wanting to be alone for the moment. He hadn’t expected the other to hear it and was struck still. “Apologies, sir.” He said quietly as his cheeks turned pink. “I... I don’t want to be alone...” He added biting his bottom lip, in response of the reason why he had interrupted the other’s shower. “Can I... can I really join you?” His voice was but a whisper as he continued to speak.
Knock Knock
4. Your muse walking in on mine in the shower
The soft jazz was playing. Jihoon’s shower music of choice, because it gave the atmosphere of an old cafe on a rainy night. If that wasn’t perfect shower mood, he didn’t know what was. No sooner had he stepped under the warm, pelting flow, than the bathroom door creaked open. With a chuckle Jihoon peaked out, a smile blooming across his features. “I don’t like having an audience, but you’re welcome to join me.”

“Oh! Are you in my class then?” Ariana asked with a huge smile. She couldn’t wait to start meeting her students; the idea of being a teacher was still sinking in, but she loved the idea of being a mentor for the younger people at Insolitus. “Even if you’re not, let me know if you ever need anything and I’ll do anything in my power as a teacher to help!” Maybe she was a little too excited about her new position.
Rising up a little, Eiji bit his bottom lip again. “What class do you teach, ma’am?” He asked bowing again. As the offer was made he nodded. “Thank you, ma’am. I will.” He confirmed nodding his head, though inside he knew that wouldn’t likely happen, but no one knew what tomorrow would bring.
"Welcome to Insolitus, ma'am." He says in a small voice and bowing.
Ariana was still getting used to the bowing thing. She hadn’t really been to this side of the world much (or at all, except for vacation) in her travels. Her instinct was to hold her hand out for a hand shake, but the tiny woman forced herself to bow instead.
“Thank you very much,…?” Her voice rose in question since she didn’t know the man’s name. “Are you a student here?”

“What’s going on out there?” Ara seemed to suddenly appear at his side, sniffing the air with a scrunched nose. She loved the smell of burning wood like what you had at a camp site, but somehow she felt this was different.
Eiji hadn’t noticed anyone approach him, as he was looking into the woods, and when a female voice came from beside him he was surprised in a way that he instantly jumped and looked at the source of said voice. “I don’t know.” He replied quietly and biting his bottom lip. “For some weeks now there’s been noise coming from there-” And he pointed towards the forest. “-and we haven’t been allowed to go in there.” He continued frowning a bit. He didn’t like when strange things like this one happened here at the academy.

He bowed once more before replying. “Yes, ma’am. I am.” His voice was equally as quiet as before. He was used to the new people being a little put-off by his actions while welcoming them.

The sounds were getting louder and now the smell of burnt wood was coming from the forest and he was unable to go inside. Standing at the edge of the forest, Eiji looks into it and raising a hand he places it on the invisible barrier that’s preventing everyone from the academy to enter the green woods beyond.

yasuhirothesilentwatcher:
After centuries with his heart closed to those trying to reach it Sugizo felt his strings being tugged at when the boy spoke and he cherished the weird sensation, it had been so long since someone managed to place themselves in there he barely dared to trust the turmoil this one unknowing creature caused in his chest, the way those rapid beats began to slow when his innocent prey was back in his arms were heavenly though. Eiji wasn’t anything like those who had fitted there before and yet the young were already belonged there, as precious as a magnolia flower protected by a cage stronger than steel, it sent his pride soaring with happiness when the one he treasured claimed to return the feeling. The one he had found so recently had become such a natural part of his life he found time without the boy boring, it wasn’t until they were reunited that he realized it though and with no war at that very spot he intended to enjoy their time together, no one could tell in advance how long the fragile peace would last.
Carefully taking every word in he immediately began going through which strategy would work better when dealing with the attacker, whoever it was had to be removed from Eiji’s side so no further harm could be done to the child and he believed he had found the right one when his thoughts ended abruptly, this someone had threatened to kill the boy. “Your pelt?” Heartbeat picking up, eyes changing, claws threatening to break through, his senses on high alert. Yasu was ready for battle. “Stay away from him.” With his voice lowered it caused the stone beneath him to shake by the force yet the tone was soft, almost like the pleas that followed by his special one and when their eyes met the old man’s heart clenched. This might just be the one he had been looking for, a boy, abused by life and the world and still so very special even he couldn’t deny there being something unique about the way they connected.
“Eiji, I’ve been in this world long enough to know how to do things without anyone knowing, no one would ever know I was involved. But if you promise to stay away from him I will not interfere.” It was true that he had favours to collect that could easily eliminate any threat to his company, people that would kill and die for him was that asked without any questions as to why, he could do pretty much anything he wanted to without the world being the wiser and longed to prove it to the one in his arms. Still he would stay down and watch the future come if that was what the little one wanted, the patience he was known for to so many people coming in handy in a situation where his inner beast craved revenge, where his instincts smelt the blood of this new enemy long before it spilled. If the innocence so nicely fitting in his embrace didn’t allow it to happen it couldn’t come to that though, letting his own desires before those of the boy would do more damage than good, he had to focus on Eiji, only Eiji. “You need to realize my dear boy. You only have one true master, one who is fully allowed to control you and make you do things, one who has the power over you.” They could work on it together but in the end there was only one force strong enough to be the leading light of each creature, they had to come to the point where the child could see it too, see it and believe it.
It was almost instant, his acknowledgement of the elder’s  request for him to stay away from the other male that had hurt him. Nodding, he replied. “I will.” He had felt the rocks under his legs tremble when the other reacted to what he was telling him but he knew that anger wasn’t addressed at him but at his attacker. “Thank you.” He said giving a teary smile, as Yasuhiro also agreed to not go after the other male.
He knew the elder was old and had acquired much knowledge along the way but he was unable to let the other go fight a fight that was his to fight, if he was but a little stronger. Yasuhiro had managed to sneak up on him and had found a perch in the Were’s heart that had only held one person before, and had since remained empty, and he had expected to remain so if he hadn’t met the elder. It seemed strange for him to have these sort of feelings for someone a lot stronger than him but even so it happened.
At Yasuhiro’s words, the Were frowned and tensed a little. He didn’t like the sound of those words but even so he wanted to let the other explain what he meant. “What do you mean?”

yasuhirothesilentwatcher:
The were was so polite it amused him, of course most people when put in front of a creature weighing several tons would have been very friendly to it but to Eiji it was more than just the situation demanding respect, it was in the boy’s every move to serve. The reason this was happening irked him a little though not enough to try to change it or stop it from happening, politeness would save the young being from more danger than cockiness would cause so for the time being it worked in their favour, only if it came to his prey’s submissive side becoming a danger in itself would Yasu address the issue. “Of course. Dragons have huge appetites, their size and what they do have them needing to feed all the time, or should I say they did, back in the days when they still roamed the land freely.” His eyes followed the boy moving back to the carried with yet another sheet of seaweed with warmth spreading in his chest, there was no doubt his little friend enjoyed the feeding as much as the animal itself did and after a quick check with the caretaker Sugizo allowed the boy to continue, whether in the wild or inside carriers needed massive amounts of energy to stay ready for action.
Having his victim return to him with a question the elder nodded and was about to offer a hand when his coat was once more pulled, a little surprised he looked down at the goblin who was sniffing the air around them with a suspicious glimmer in those greenish eyes. “Needs more than bath. Clean him up.” “That’s not your problem little man.” Their eyes meeting had Yasuhiro arch a brow at their company before glaring the tiny worker down to show strength, no one had any say in how the were lived except him and he didn’t particularly like having a stranger point out the obvious, some things were not to be meddled in by those merely standing by watching. “A bath is needed though I agree, we will head over there right now. Come Eiji.” This time his fingers stretched out for his victim to take as they needed to be connected to walk through the barrier keeping the rooms separate, once the student could access his own powers that would be but for the time being it was the only way they would end up at the same place, Arida’s bathroom was pretty hard to find even for those knowing it excited as well meaning someone completely unknowing about it would get lost for sure.
“Doormen. Whorehouse.” Two words. It was it took for the old man to spin around to stare furiously at the empty space where the goblin had vanished after speaking, two words being more than enough to warm him they weren’t alone and someone from the boy’s past was part of their world as well, without the tiny creature showing them who it was he had to be careful around anyone he didn’t recognized. Anyone could be a potential enemy, not for him personally but for the boy and that made it even more daring to be out in the open like they were. Looking around the hall he couldn’t spot any unknown faces or see anything appearing out of the ordinary, after checking time he found they still had an hour to go before they were to find their seats and leave the city behind so the bathroom would be his best option, magic was the perfect way to escape whatever one wanted to hide from. “Come. Time to freshen up.”
Eiji was about to take the elder’s hand when it stopped stretching towards him as the small creature spoke again. He knew he needed a shower, after being licked by the dragon but he couldn’t quite understand what the creature meant by him needing more than a bath. He immediately took the elder’s hand when it was, finally, offered and took a step closer to Yasuhiro.
He hadn’t been paying much attention to the creature talking to them, as there was still a lot of new things to see around, but as one simple word reached his ears it snapped his attention back to the pair, though only Yasuhiro remained and took another step closer to him in search of whatever protection the other could provide. “What did he mean?” He asked with a slight hint of terror seeping through his words. Now he didn’t want to be here. How could a simple word ruin the feeling of happiness he had been feeling since shortly after  they had managed to run away from one of his former clients, back in town. Taking hold of the elder’s sleeve in a death grip, he nodded as he was told, once again, it was time to leave.
@yasuhirothesilentwatcher
"Remember me?" Offering you a warm yet cocky smile he offers a you hand hoping you will take it.
He turned when he heard a familiar voice, eyes growing softer at the sight of the older man. “I do.” Was the simple reply Eiji gave before taking the offered hand.

Outside Eiji’s room was large box with his name written in white; they were made out of snowflakes that would slowly start to fade and disappear once read by the rightful owner. Content [ x  50 pieces ]
Note inside the box.
I miss you. I miss you so much, Eiji. Where are you? I hope you are not hiding from me? All I hope is that you’re in good health, you are safe, and someone’s keeping you company, making sure you feel loved and appreciated. Please know that wherever you are, if you need my help. I will always be there for you.  These scarves… I knitted them each time I missed you. It started that day you disappeared and stopped replying to my messages. Day by day, I knitted. Eventually, it became a habit before I go to sleep at dawn.  Please stay alive and happy. That’s all I could ask for. It’s okay if I don’t see you, just let me know you are well.
Zoe.
Eiji had ran away from the school and the city. Even if he was running from any client that could have sent him back to his owner he had also been looking for someone with magic that could be able to take his colar away. Most had told him it was impossible, other’s were too expensive for someone like him.
As he returned to the academy and too his room he noticed a wrapped present on top of his bed. Maybe it had been put there by his room mate so it wouldn’t bother anyone if it stayed outside the dormroom door.
As he read the note and opened the box tears filled his eyes and as he felt how soft the scarf was he was unable to stop himself from taking one and changing the one he was wearing for one of the new ones before he left his room and went to Zoe’s room but making a side trip to the kitchen to steal some ice cream.

"Apologies, I just assumed..." He replied with another bow. "I was taught to speak this way...but, but I can address you by whatever you prefer."
"Welcome to Insolitus, sir." He says in a small voice and bowing.
“Thank you.” his voice trailed a bit confused, raising his eyebrow at the stranger. “But why are you calling me “sir”?” he questioned curiously.
