Website : https://www.makeartclasses.net/
Address : Baldivis, Western Australia, Australia
makeART Classes and Workshops was established in July 2014 making our home in the upstairs art space at the Mary Davies Library and Community Centre in Baldivis. Since then, makeART's passion to provide a space for young artists to expand their creativity and encourage grown-ups to find the playful artist subdued within has expanded into a fun, creative family with classes and workshops to suit every age group.
We invite you to scroll through our palette of opportunities, make your booking and lets create amazing art together.
Our Classes:
At makeART we are constantly working with the community to develop new classes and workshops. We cater for a variety of ages and also offer school holiday workshops.
Children & Youth After School Classes:
We believe your child was born an artist and my aim is to replace the iPad with a canvas, a mouse with a paintbrush and the phone with a palette. For an hour each week your young artist will go on a journey of exploration and self discovery through adventures in drawing, painting, collage and 3D art. You get to simply drop off, pick up and start your own gallery.
Art is a deeply personal experience and our role is to introduce your young artist to a variety of art making materials, inspire and teach the practice of mindfully focusing on the process of their creation. Not only on what they are creating but how they are creating it… the feel of different materials, a pencil mark, pastel, the feathery touch of a paint brush, the magnificence of a splash of watercolour.
All classes begin the week after school starts each term and end the week before school finishes.
* Sip & Paint!
Make new friends by booking one of our Sip & Paint events at our studio or share laughter with old friends at your own venue where we come to you. Either way, Rachael, our very own artist will provide step-by-step guidance and banter to help you unleash your creativity using acrylic paints on canvas with occasional use of mixed media as collage.
Absolutely no experience is needed. Sip & Paint is perfect for newbies. If you can hold a pencil… you’re covered! All materials are provided, and you don’t have to clean up as we do that for you too. At the end of the evening, you’ll have your own fabulous piece of 16” x 20” artwork to hang on your wall.

Prompt 238
"Ugh. There's a group at the barrier again." Star squinted over the buildings they were all sprawled on almost lazily. "Seriously? I thought the GIW would have given up by now since there's 'no more humans' here," Sam's voice was sarcastic as she combed claws through her hair. The others grumbled in agreement, Valerie spreading her wings in a stretch. "Who wants to bet Danny is already about to crash their intrusion?" "Hah! I bet Dash is there already to video it!" "Those are both suckers bets," Wes scoffed, clear eyelid closing over his eyes and temporarily dimming the glow. "Let's be honest, Paulina has already left, she's going to get there first."
- - -
The GIW have been having a bit of trouble. Maybe just a bit. See, they were supposed to be taking care of the ecto-entities. Studying them, y'know? But er, some earlier agents had been a bit trigger happy, which meant the entities were well... aggressive. And a city full of dragon-fae-beings disliking any presence wearing white was rather terrifying, so they... might have gotten permission to bring a hero with them. For protection of course. ... Hopefully no one dies-
Feel free to ignore any of these pics lol, they're just ideas.
Order: Jazz, Danny, Tucker, Sam, Valerie, Wes, Dash, Kwan, Paulina, Star, Ellie, Dan

HEY
what about a reader winning a fight ( 👊👊) w sevika but sev is like :0 cause reader is pretty skinny compared to her like reader seems delicate, she's not, and sev gets so fucking horny that ....
I let that end to you pretty 😉
love this!
men and minors dni
sevika's cocky, smirking at you from across the mat as she wraps her hands. "you sure?" she asks. you roll your eyes as you stretch your body.
"i'm sure, sev. wouldn't have asked if i didn't want to." you say. sevika snorts.
"i'll go easy on you, honey." she says with a wink. you laugh.
sevika's strong. much stronger than you. but you've got an advantage on her.
sevika's a boxer-- it's her primary fighting background. you've seen her fight, and while her hits are powerful, they only land above her opponent's waist. she doesn't use her legs, she's a little too cocky to focus on blocking, and she relies solely on her strength.
you, on the other hand, are scrawny. when play-fighting with sevika, she always wins, pinning you beneath her. but you've got a background in mixed martial arts.
your fighting style is focused on blocking, diverting, and using your opponent's strength against them. you use kicks, knees, elbows, and headbutts just as frequently as you use your fists. and you'll aim anywhere.
last night, when you asked sevika if she'd ever like to spar with you, she simply laughed. she's still laughing now, as the two of you approach each other in the center of the mat.
"ready?" she asks as she reaches her hands out. you knock your fists against hers to signify the beginning of a fight and nod with a smile.
"ready." you say.
the two of you circle each other, waiting for the other to make the first move. sevika fakes you out a couple times, lunging at you before pulling back when you flinch, chuckling each time. you just huff and wait for her to strike.
it doesn't take long. sevika's patient in a lot of areas, but fighting isn't one of them. her arm swings out, aiming at your face, and you quickly duck beneath it. she huffs, then aims a punch at your gut. you take the hit with a grunt, stumbling from the impact as sevika giggles across from you.
"sure you wanna keep going?" she asks. you glare at her. fuck this, you think as adrenaline pumps through your body and your training kicks in. she aims another hit at you.
before she can meet her mark, you slide to the side, weaving your arm around her elbow and spinning the two of you as you shoot a knee up into her stomach. she grunts and doubles over, a shocked look washing over her face as your free elbow comes flying toward her face.
"fuck." she curses struggles in your grip. you've still got her flesh arm trapped, but her mechanic arm is free.
with a solid hook, she hits you in the temple, and you stumble backwards, letting go of her. you stare her down from across the mat.
an impressed smile is creeping up her lips. "maybe i don't need to take it easy on you." she says. you chuckle.
"i told you we'd be good sparring partners." you say with a grunt as you block another one of her punches with your forearm, knocking it out of the way and landing a solid roundhouse kick into her ribs.
as your foot meets her side, her free fist meets your face again. a crunch rings out and blood begins to dribble down your face. you groan, and sevika freezes. "shit, are yo--ah!" she huffs out as you smash your forehead against her nose.
"now we match." you say with a giggle as her nose begins to bleed.
sevika growls and reaches out to grab you around the waist, but you slide away before she can grab you. she glares at you, her chest huffing, her flesh knuckles white from how hard she's clenching them.
she throws three hits your way in quick succession, one of them barely grazing your ribs, the second hitting the center of your stomach, the third a nasty upper hook that knocks your chin back. you take the hits, letting the momentum of your spinning head twirl you into a full body spin, aiming a spinning high kick at sevika's head.
it lands, and sevika falls on her ass. you tackle her onto the ground, but before you can pin her, she's flipping you.
you quickly crawl away, but when she plasters her body over your back, you grab her arm around your shoulder and dive forward, flipping her over you.
she lands flat on the floor, sprawled out with a shocked look in her eye. you giggle from above her and she smiles up at you.
"where the fuck did you learn that?" she giggles out. you smile and duck your head down. sevika flinches, expecting another headbutt, but she melts when your lips meet hers.
it's a little awkward. sevika's upside down beneath you, so your nose keeps knocking into her chin. you pull away and sevika pouts up at you, quickly scrambling to her knees to turn around and push you down onto the mat.
"time out." she grunts as she straddles you, hungrily kissing your lips and grinding her clothed cunt onto your pelvis. you smile against her lips.
"does fighting always get you this worked up?" you ask with a giggle as she trails kisses down your neck.
"no, but it's hot as fuck that you can throw me around like that." she says. you laugh as your hands start scrabbling at her shirt, trying to get her naked. she leans up to help you strip her, leaning back down to kiss you again but being blcoked by your finger to her lips.
"hold on." you whisper as you gently wipe up the blood trickling from her nose with her shirt. she smiles softly at you, and when you're done cleaning her up, she wipes your blood up with her shirt as well. then, she's shoving her tongue down your throat, her hand snaking up under your shirt to fondle your tits.
you moan beneath her, grinding up against her as you claw at her back, trying to get her closer to you.
you trail one of your hands down to fiddle with her button and fly, shoving your hand underneath her waistband and boxers, groping her wet cunt as she shivers above you.
"f-fuck." she sighs as you start rubbing circles against her clit.
you chuckle. "maybe we wouldn't be good sparring partners-- might be too distracting." you say. she moans against your shoulder.
"fuck off. you're the only person i'm sparrin' with from now on." she grunts as she humps her cunt against your hand. you giggle and kiss her lips, gently nipping her swollen lower lip, relishing in the whimper it gets from her.
"you're so wet, can i eat you out? fuck, sev, will you ride my face?" you ask below her. sevika shudders on top of you as she scrambles to her knees and pushes her pants and boxers lower.
you grope her now exposed ass, tugging her higher up your body, trying to get her cunt on your mouth as quickly as you can. when she's hovering over you, her glistening clit three inches away from your eager mouth, the door to the gym swings open.
"what the fuck!?" jinx screams out. you look over just in time to catch the teenager slap a hand over her eyes and gag. "what the fuck!?" she cries out again.
sevika scrambles to stand, but her pants around her knees only make her fall onto her ass again. you giggle as you help her up, tossing her her shirt and helping her button up her pants and zip up her fly.
sevika's blushing profusely. you grin and launch up to kiss her cheek.
"sorry jinx." you say to the teen. "we're good now."
jinx hesitantly peeks between her fingers to check that you're not lying, and then her arms go flying as she starts on a tirade about communal spaces and pda.
sevika's shoulders rise with each of jinx's sentences, until they're practically at her ears. her blush is traveling down her chest and she's biting her lip. she looks adorable.
"relax, jinx, you didn't see anything bad." you cut her off.
"i saw sevika's ass!" she cries out. you chuckle.
"like i said, you didn't see anything bad." you repeat. she groans and throws the towel over her shoulder at you. you quickly dodge it, tugging sevika behind you to leave the gym.
jinx is mumbling about disinfecting the mats as you pass her by, ruffling her hair with one hand, holding sevika's in the other.
sevika makes certain that she locks the gym door each time you spar together in the future.

Shabana Siblings Headcanons:
- Gyutaro in the Kimetsu academy AU is an art student, it’s one of the few classes he’s excelling in. He sketches and sculpts
- Ume often feels like she lacks any real talents or interests. She tried to draw like her brother once but got frustrated and tore the paper
- Gyutaro cooks decent enough, Une can’t cook. However, they will both act nice and stomach whatever it is the other made even if it’s terrible <3
- They also refuse to waste any food. Their plates are empty when they end in the sink
- despite being delinquents in the academy au, I personally believe (and hope) that they grow up into more well rounded adults: they live close by, always visiting eachother but they’re much happier and feel like they can really be individuals
- Ume probably gets into a fashion or modelling industry
- Gyuataro has worked several fast food jobs in his youth
- Ume has a taste for seemingly disgusting food combos; it disturbs her friends
- Gyuataro is also passing his health classes; being super susceptible to disease he learned tons about health and safety
- Maybe he grows up and works in the healthcare industry, maybe he’s an artist; idk
- Ume has a talent with makeup - both in beauty and with blood & gore - shes faked several injuries to get out of class with this
- They watch trashy reality tv and yell at the screen
- They do the same with true crime channels

i'm glad i know how to fight not because i'm scared of people going out of their way to hurt me (well i am but i know that's my irrational paranoia and not grounded in reality) but because there's something very comforting and empowering about knowing from experience that you're physically and mentally capable of defending yourself in a high pressure situation and can back yourself up if necessary if someone refuses to lay off when you ask them to. i wish my old kickboxing/self defence club was still nearby because it did so much for my confidence and my health.

Sister "I became skilled at so many things just so I would still have value" Beatrice not having hobbies makes me feral. Camila has her music, Shannon had her art, Mary had her cooking, Lilith has her being-a-massive-bitch, and Beatrice is over there like "I have encyclopedic knowledge of the fighting styles of every woman in this convent, and also I have spreadsheets"
girl, ava shouldn't have to yeet herself into another dimension for you to realize you need a better work-life balance

i feel it's so fucking stupid and ungrateful but it still hurts a little when someone gifts me something i just don't like. i don't know. i know it's dumb and inaccurate to astrain that much meaning to a simple gift, but it feels kinda like they don't know me. i guess it feels like people don't see me, like a reminder that the person i reflect and the person i feel like are incredibly different.
#two fairly recent examples jump to mind#last year my class did a secret santa#the guy who got my name barely knew me so instead he asked our litterature teacher for tips#i was doing an effort to participate a lot in her classes and discuss stuff and i felt like she was an adult i could really trust#and adult who Gets It#and she picked just. the wrong gift. a classical philosophy essay.#stuff i hate reading. stuff i hate thinking about.#i said thank you to both of them and tried to read it during christmas break still. but i was right. i hated it.#and this year's christmas#recently i tried patching things up with my parents and we are a lot more communicative now#so they've opened up that my demand not to receive any gifts was painful to them#so we had an agreement: we write open-hearted letters to each other on christmas.#and they can gift me something if they'd like but no pressure if they don't find anything they feel would be a good gift#bc i myself opened up about the whole ''inaccurate gift'' thing being one of the reasons i dislike receiving stuff#and guess what. christmas comes. they got me a printed card from an artist whose work we saw at a local art thing earlier that year.#that artist does mainly either plants or nice architecture. stuff i love.#they picked the ONE work of hers that doesn't look like that. some reinterpretation of the great wave of kanagawa#a piece which i dislike with a passion for aesthetic reasons#i had promised i'd be honest if their gift missed the mark but tbh i couldn't. it's just an aesthetic thing it's completely begnin.#it's not like they spent lots or tried to pick something that was USEFUL#so i smiled and the picture is hanging with other stuff in my room#and i thanked them and i can't express how genuinely glad i am we have a better relationship#but man i felt my heart break a little under the tree in that moment#idk#i know it's silly but it makes me feel weird. and cold.#broadcasting my misery#vent

My best advice to sick and disabled kids, as someone whose been sick to the point of disabilty since I was four, is to pick up a creative hobby. Learn to draw, take up knitting, learn the guitar if you're strong enough to hold one and take up ukulele if you're not. Do something that will stimulate your brain and give you the satisfaction of creation, as well as distraction.
My parents' idea of occupying my time thru appointments and infusions and hospitalizations and sick days was just piling me with books and video games. Which is fine! Great escapism, fun to do, saves you from boredom. But sometimes you don't need to escape, sometimes you need to create, and not knowing how or where to start fills you with a feeling of frustration and helplessness. Reading gave me a fantastic imagination and I created worlds in my head that I had no way of getting out to share or saving for posterity.
My parents had hobbies of their own. Mom's a fiber artist and dad's a musician, and I asked them repeatedly over my childhood to teach me what they were doing but they always waffled on it and never did. Hell I didn't even learn how to cook until I was eighteen. So I was left with books and video games and no sense of satisfaction in my ability to do anything.
I took up art in my mid twenties, mostly by watching YouTube tutorials or checking out how to draw books from the library. They say the best time to start is yesterday, but the second best time is to start is today. I don't create art every day. I have more pain and exhaustion days than I do creative days. But when I can create it feels empowering, and power is something I don't have as a disabled person.
And I'm not saying take up a creative hobby so you have something to sell to fall back financially when you're too sick to work (obvs if you want to you can, but that's not the point of this advice). Paint pictures just to hang up in your bedroom. Crochet clothes for your dog. Write songs with lyrics that only make sense to you. And if no one is willing to teach you these skills, seek out resources and basically teach yourself.
I don't know how to end this post, but I am begging every sick kid (and sick adults too, for that matter) to not just wait for your life to end, distracting yourself solely with passive hobbies like books and games that have been scripted out to have pre-determined endings decided for you. Find an outlet you can do to create, for your own sense of satisfaction if nothing else.

i sound like the youngest boomer on earth whenever i say this but it really was a mistake for baby gays to learn about the term fruit. idk what it is about the internet that makes kids see a derogatory term for a marginalized group they’re part of, or even just adjacent to, which they’ve never been targeted with and decide it’s just their new Special Inside Joke Swear Word. some 16 y/o online calling a picture of a celebrity wearing a gaudy sweater fruity or faggy isn’t “reclamation” it’s just parroting homophobia and not funny in the slightest.
speaking among onesself or close friends is one thing but when it gets to the point (and it has) where people are calling real life people they barely (or don’t) know homophobic terms, it doesn’t matter if the person saying it is gay or not.
#succ speaks#also i thought people were only like this online but being at a lac. people really just do this to people they know irl.#like they actually just say things. having to listen to a girl call ross gay 'fruity' in a poetry class and then like a week later...#...a guy who i was kinda friends with but also hung out with a total of like 5 times decided yeah sure i can call the group chat faggots#just......wow. people really live like this. and not even 8th grade gsa attendees who are still learning. young adults in the workforce.#i also think this sort of faux solidarity is why this same demographic desperately tries to express personal parallels to experiences...#...they have never gone through and/or cannot possibly go through. something about slowly losing the ability to listen and needing to talk.#<- also sorry to sound like a psych major but egocentric approaches to social media has done irreversible damage to so many young ppl...#...but at the same time we (young ppl on social media) are to blame because social media platforms are egocentric by design.#being invested in onesself isn't a cause of shitheadedry but a lot of people have really just gotten so dismissive of others it's insane.#also idk pretend i made a solid link between this and The Lost Art Of The Sincere Apology And Taking Accountability#this is just me parroting a convo i had w some friends at lunch 2day btw. posting it online bc someone probably needs to see this.#<- AS IN. ppl have definitely thought the same thing and need to see it articulated not that someone needs to feel called out by it#feeling called out by this would be like. a personal problem to sort out
