Canada intends to buy missile used in killing World Central Kitchen aid workers:
The Canadian military says it has no plans to review its decision to purchase $43 million worth of a type of Israeli-made missile despite the munition’s apparent use in killing seven aid workers
Canada can climb down from its moral high ground 🙄 Unsurprisingly, DND's Bill Blair as police chief was not only corrupt and sold to the Zionist cause by shielding securities fraud (boiler room network of Sy Jacobson) used to pay for illegal settlements, but he also had a blatant disregard for human rights as evidenced at the Toronto G20.

Just for a bit of perspective:
🇺🇲💵 US Weapons Exports in 2022 totalled $205.6 Billion, up 49% over the same one-year period from 2021.
This makes Weapons Exports the third largest export category for the United States when commercial and government arms sales are tallied; with the largest export category being Mineral Fuels, Oils, and distillation products and the second largest export category being Machinery, Nuclear Reactors and Boilers.
These were the top five largest US Exports by category:
Mineral Fuels, Oils, Distillation products- $378.56 Billion
Machinery, Nuclear Reactors, Boilers- $229.59 Billion
Weapons Exports- $205.6 Billion
Electrical, Electronic Equipment- $197.75 Billion
Vehicles, other than railway/tramway- $134.89 Billion
US Government Arms exports alone were valued at $51.9 Billion in 2022, accounting for 40% of global government arms sales.
By comparison, Russian arms exports for 2022 are estimated at the equivalent of $10.8 Billion, while Chinese arms exports accounted for roughly 5% of global arms sales or roughly $6.5 Billion. Though admittedly, using US dollars as a comparison point can be limited in its ability to accurately represent the actual number and quality of weapons being sold.

**The US no longer produces and exports the goods and services you would expect of a nation of its size, population and GDP. The US, which as recently as the 1970's led the world in global production, now only produces and exports overpriced weapons of war and a cultural hegemony that eats insidiously away at the bonds that hold communities together; for a divided nation is easier to conquer and a divided people are easier to rule.

The Biden administration has approved more than 100 separate weapons sales to the Israeli government since its massive assault on the Gaza Strip began five months ago, transfers that did not require congressional notification because they were each below a certain dollar amount.
The Washington Postreported Wednesday that the sales, which were disclosed to lawmakers during a recent classified briefing, included "thousands of precision-guided munitions, small diameter bombs, bunker busters, small arms, and other lethal aid."
"Only two approved foreign military sales to Israel have been made public since the start of conflict: $106 million worth of tank ammunition and $147.5 million of components needed to make 155 mm shells," the Post added. "Those sales invited public scrutiny because the Biden administration bypassed Congress to approve the packages by invoking an emergency authority."
Jeremy Konyndyk, a former senior Biden administration official and the current president of Refugees International, told the newspaper that the number of sales the administration has approved over such a short period of time is "extraordinary" and "suggests that the Israeli campaign would not be sustainable without this level of U.S. support."
...
News of the secretive arms sales comes as human rights advocates and progressive lawmakers such as Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) are pressuring the Biden administration to cut off all military aid to Israel, pointing to U.S. law and White House policy barring the transfer of weapons to human rights violators.
Under the Foreign Assistance Act, the U.S. cannot provide aid to a country that "prohibits or otherwise restricts, directly or indirectly, the transport or delivery of United States humanitarian assistance."
U.S. State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller admitted during a press briefing on Tuesday that Israeli government ministers have blocked "the release of flour" and other aid into Gaza as much of the territory's population faces the imminent risk of famine—and as children die of starvation.
Yonah Lieberman, co-founder of the progressive Jewish advocacy group IfNotNow, noted that the Post's reporting shows the Biden administration has on average approved one arms sale to Israel every 36 hours since October 7, when Israel launched its large-scale assault on Gaza following a deadly Hamas-led attack.
"Weapons to a government starving and displacing millions of civilians. Weapons to an army that has killed 25,000 women and children," Lieberman wrote. "This is unconscionable. When people ask, 'What do you want Joe Biden to do?' the answer is: Stop making these weapons deals."

The U.S. is expected to announce the largest weapons and aid package yet for Ukraine on Wednesday, a $3 billion package that would push total U.S. aid well past the annual budgets of at least eight federal programs, including the entire judicial branch. It will contain ammunition in amounts “we’ve never seen before.”

On 26 October more than 150 trade unionists and Palestinian solidarity activists blockaded the main entrances to a factory site in Sandwich, Kent. The factory is operated by Instro Precision – a subsidiary of Elbit Systems, Israel’s largest privately owned weapons company – and produces military surveillance and targeting devices. The picketers were responding to a call from Palestinian trade unions for their sister organisations to halt the supply of arms to Israel. Their banners read ‘Workers for a Free Palestine’ and ‘UK funds genocide.’

According to research by the Campaign Against the Arms Trade (CAAT), the UK has licensed more than £472 million in arms exports to Israel since 2015. This includes tank components, armour-piercing ammunition and small arms, but, in keeping with the structure of the British weapons industry, aerospace components for fighters and drones predominate. It’s difficult to get clear numbers from the arms industry. The headline figure is taken from the value of standard licences, but the UK also operates a system of open licences that permit transfers of unlimited – and unspecified – quantities of particular military goods. Since 2015, 57 such licences have been granted for export to Israel, ten of those in 2022. They include British components for the American-designed F-35 aircraft, which campaigners estimate have been worth £336 million to the companies (primarily BAE Systems) producing them. Because the quantities of goods issued under open licences are not made public, groups such as CAAT have to back-engineer their value. In recent years the government has become increasingly hostile to Freedom of Information requests on arms, but there is enough publicly available data to be certain that the planes currently flattening apartment blocks and refugee camps in Gaza rely on components engineered and manufactured in Britain.
There is little appetite in Westminster for reform of the domestic arms industry. For one thing, it is a rare economic success story. The UK is the second largest exporter of defence items in the world and, according to the Stockholm International Peace Research Initiative, the sixth largest exporter of major conventional weapons (which means everything short of weapons of mass destruction), primarily aircraft. The total value of standard licences issued in 2021 was £10.7 billion, and the industry depends on its aerospace sector, which accounts for 72 per cent of export business. More than half of all British defence exports go to the Middle East – but to Saudi Arabia rather than Israel. Human rights organisations, including Amnesty International, accuse BAE Systems of being party to Saudi war crimes in Yemen, where BAE-supplied (and serviced) fighters have bombed schools and hospitals.

The Biden administration is set to ramp up its arms sales to Taiwan with numbers that suggest Ukraine levels of escalation. According to Politico, the over $1 billion arms package includes “60 AGM-84L Harpoon Block II missiles for $355 million, 100 AIM-9X Block II Sidewinder tactical air-to-air missiles for $85.6 million, and $655.4 million for a surveillance radar contract extension, the people said. The Sidewinder missiles will arm Taipei’s U.S.-made F-16 fighter jets.”

Stevenson's army, September 23
– The indictment of Sen. Menendez [D=NJ] certainly makes him look sleazy. – He is accused of taking bribes and then acting officially, including on matters of Egyptian arms sales. As I read the indictment, however, several of his actions as SFRC chairman do not appear outrageous. Telling the Egyptians the number [but not the names] of American and Egyptian nationals working at the Cairo embassy…
