Turkish revolutionary musical group Grup Yorum reports from Donbass:
"After Donetsk and Lugansk declared independence, rocket fire by imperialist-backed neo-Nazi gangs and the Ukrainian army directed directly at the residents of these regions has never ceased.
"From 2014 to 2022, about 14,000 ordinary people were killed.
"We support the people of Donbass, who are resisting the imperialism of the US and EU and its accomplice, the fascist Ukrainian state."

The decision, likely illegal, was made because the U.S. and its allies have run out of other 155mm munitions. It is accompanied by false statements that Russia has used such ammunition in Ukraine.

The U.S. is in a steadily expanding military buildup of unprecedented proportions. But the economic basis for sustaining military expansion — for war on three fronts — is in virtual ruin.

January 21, 2024, marks 100 years since the death of V.I. Lenin, the leader of the first successful socialist revolution in history, the Russian Revolution of 1917.
Newly released on this centennial is Gary Wilson’s “War and Lenin in the 21st Century.”
Lenin identified imperialism’s key features: monopoly capitalism, finance capital, the export of capital, and colonialism, leading to the competitive division of the world among the imperialist powers.
Does Lenin’s analysis of imperialism hold up today?

In January, U.S. tech giant Meta, which owns Instagram, Facebook and other social media outlets, removed Azov from its list of dangerous organizations. Since then, Azov as a movement – which, in addition to the combat units, also includes militias for terrorizing opposition members and minorities inside Ukraine, a political party, its own fashion and music labels and a merchandise network – has been able to operate worldwide without restrictions. With its ever-expanding propaganda machine, Azov not only produces fascist warmongering, ideologies of a master race and heroic myths, but also targeted disinformation: above all, the lie that Azov has broken away from Nazism, which is the lie that politicians and the media in the European Union and the United States put forward, being disseminated on a large scale.

The Pentagon has approved hazard pay for U.S. troops serving in Ukraine, paving the way for a possible expanded presence. Military Times reported July 27 on the new hazard pay policy.
The approval of hazard pay is seen as a sign that the Pentagon is preparing for a possible expansion of the U.S. military presence in Ukraine. The Biden administration has steadily increased the number of special forces “advisers” and trainers in the country. While calling them advisers and trainers, they actively participate in the war.

BlackRock is the world’s largest asset manager and a company that has big interests in Raytheon, Lockheed, Dupont, and Haliburton, companies responsible for destroying Indigenous lands, climate change, supplying weapons of mass destruction for U.S. endless wars, and helping to push World War III. Now BlackRock is in a close partnership with Kiev, managing billions of dollars in investments to tear away any last shred of Ukraine’s economic sovereignty, while it pretends to be acting in defense of the Ukrainian people’s interests.

In December, the Washington Post published a report in which the commander of the Ukrainian forces in the Kherson region confirmed that Ukraine had considered blowing up the Kakhovka dam, acknowledging that the Russian accusations were not a conspiracy theory, but that the Ukrainian attacks, which have continued ever since, could have caused the damage necessary for the collapse without the need for sabotage.

Post from Donetsk today, about the killing of children in the U.S.-Ukraine war on Donbass. We protested for justice for Vladik and other child victims here in New York and around the world:
Remember the boy, whose name was Vladik Dmitriev. He was four years old when a grenade dropped from a Ukrainian drone tore him apart [in early 2021 -- one year before Russia's military intervention]. Then I had to "persuade" the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) mission for a long time to go to the place where the child died. They arrived a week later (I have kept all the correspondence).
The reason was that the Ukrainian media and some "actors" of the humanitarian persuasion assured them that the boy was not there. Then they assured that since the boy had died, that was certainly because his grandparents kept grenades in the yard. Therefore, I had to send a birth certificate of the child, then a certificate of death and the causes of death. Then photographs of a small funnel with fragments spreading 360 degrees. Then I had to write that his grandfather had to "bury" a fragment of his grandson's hand, which he found in the firewood after the funeral.
It was only after that that they arrived. Then they wrote for a long time ... I even had to explain to them that Vlad's parents had an audio recording of a conversation with the OSCE mission staff.
This boy's death was not convenient. They tried to ignore it. But, fortunately, there were those in the institutions of European power that did not allow this.
Back then I met Vladik's parents, Katya and Sergey. They are very bright guys. Sergei was a metallurgist, and Katya was a kindergarten teacher. I know that she could not work there after the death of her son: the children reminded her of her son.
Today it was Katya who responded to the death of eight-year-old Nikita [killed by a Ukrainian strike on Donetsk on March 11, 2023]. She wrote, "I would really like to give his mother strength and patience. I would like to show her how close her pain is and that there are people for whom this is not just a roundup of news, but a part of life. Anyone who once faced the loss of a child knows that it will no longer be the same as before, that life is just a physical state. Mentally and in this comment, I send her strength, stamina and faith in myself and in God. Faith that we will meet with them, and this separation is not eternal. "To live in the name of the memory of my child was once the only clue for me in this life. Dear girl (I'm sorry I don't know your name), I'm with you with all my heart and soul and our children are always with us, no matter what happens.
"I keep photos of Vladik. Today I received a photo of Nikita. He is happy on it, next to the pool. It turns out that he was taken out for several weeks on vacation last fall. The woman who received Nikita was crying when she spoke to me. Today she has other children next to her, "the same as Nikita.”
Thanks to Katia Osminogova for sharing the link.

Joe Biden’s visit to Kiev yesterday, more propaganda than strategic, sought to show the importance of the Ukrainian issue for the Western alliance. The war in Ukraine has reached the pinnacle of global prominence to which Kiev has been aspiring for years. But in that global war, a large part of the globe is missing.

Faced with the opposition shown, for example, by Lula da Silva, in the shadow of the United States, the United Kingdom, the Baltic countries and Poland and NATO, the two powers of old Europe also show their growing belligerence. The Western countries of the European Union, which have not presented any peace plan since Mario Draghi’s proposal, actually a proposal for a unilateral surrender of Russia in the spring of 2022, have already adapted, not only to the idea of a long war, but to the increasingly belligerent and warmongering discourse.

The situation is escalating. The U.S. decision to supply Ukraine with Abrams tanks is very dangerous. It threatens a world war because the design of the Abrams engines requires constant maintenance. There are no specialists for this in Ukraine. Therefore, civilian specialists from the United States will be involved for repair and maintenance, who will work at Ukrainian enterprises that are targets for the Russian army.
Everyone understands that as a result of the fighting, there is a very serious risk that these specialists will be killed. However, the death of a U.S. citizen will allow Biden to demand the introduction of a no-fly zone over Ukraine and may become a reason to declare war.
Thus, Biden intends to use ordinary workers as victims to unleash a war with Russia.

President Joe Biden is planning to declare Ukraine an official U.S. military operation, the Aug. 24 Wall Street Journal reports, making it a separate command with its own general. Should Biden do that, it would put the Ukraine operation on par with the U.S. military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.

By Sergei Udaltsov In my opinion, in the current geopolitical situation, Vladimir Putin is making a mistake by refusing to carry out socialist reforms. Today, a huge number of people around the world who share leftist views and hate American imperialism cannot fully perceive Russia as a real leader in the world liberation movement, because they see that the Russian authorities, despite anti-American rhetoric, continue to adhere to the liberal-monetarist economic course and conduct an unfair policy within their country in the interests of big business and the oligarchy. In other words, Russia is not yet able to offer its potential supporters around the world an ideologically justified image of the future, an alternative to the Western ideology of hoarding and consumption. This makes it very difficult to enlist the support of billions of supporters of socialism from around the world and allows the collective West to continue its anti-Russian policy quite effectively, guided by the principle of “divide and rule!”
Russian authorities, in my opinion, are losing time and marking time, being hostages of their dogmatic right-wing conservative views, which doom our country to geopolitical loneliness. Therefore, the question of changing the course of Russia’s development today, without exaggeration, is becoming vital.

The Pentagon has confirmed reports by the Associated Press and the Washington Post that the U.S. has boots on the ground in Ukraine.
While the White House says there are no “combat” troops, this is how U.S. military escalations are launched. The U.S. military invasion of Vietnam began in May 1961 when President John Kennedy sent 500 military “advisers,” not combat troops, to Saigon (now Ho Chi Minh City).
