Internet horror!!!!
The gang's all here! Chezzter from Chezzkid Archives, Lacey from Lacey's Games, Kinito from Kinitopet, and who could forget lovable Bugbo, from Bugbo! Horror projects like these truly show the creativity of the internet, and im deeply passionate about these creations. In hindsight, I definitely should've added Wally Darling from Welcome Home, but I've drawn him enough on my other art website that im sure it makes up his absence in this one
You know what would be awesome? Wendigoon covering angel hare. I think he'd appreciate a series that doesn't demonize religion (not bashing other series its just a really nice change) and he's a Christian and might be able to give some really good insight. Also I think he'd enjoy it. I hope he does.
I'm one of the players working on the ARG En Abime (which most people found from @/williamy3w) and I just made a little timeline to get new players caught up, so I figured I'd gather all our resources so far in the same place for people just getting started!
If you’re interested in trying your luck with no guidance first, the main website is here: https://www.en-abime.com and William's stuff starts here: www.en-abime.com/cylinder-restoration-help !
If you want a spoiler-light guide to see how the game has progressed since people started broadly playing it (around March 19th, 2024), find my timeline here (maintained by @per1pete1a )
If you want to see a visual representation of the website, check out this interactive map: http://abime.ignorelist.com/ (maintained by Paper).
If you want to see what we’ve cracked so far and what we’re still working on, check out the main document here (maintained by @abstractkind)
If you want to see a story summary based on what we think is going on, check out the story document here (maintained by @herearedragons).
If you want to chat with other players, join Tati’s discord here (warning: Tati, one of the characters in the ARG, might be able to see everything sent in the discord except the channel titled “?” Don’t talk about things in the main channels you don’t want her to see! Revealing info to characters can have big consequences.)
People have been generally using #en abime to post about it on Tumblr.
Hope to see you (or, rather, hope to not see you,) en abime!
hello! i do a podcast that summarizes ARGs. it's called ARGonauts.
i am looking for the creators/participants of FINISHED or INDEFINITELY HIATUSED/DEFUNCT ARGs to send suggestions for games that we should cover! the more documentation/outline of the game you have, the better--a lot of my work hinges on using other peoples' documentation to put a full story together.
if you have an ARG you'd like to throw into the running to be on ARGonauts, here are the two steps you can take:
check our back catalog (linked above) to make sure we haven't already covered it
email all the documentation you have on the ARG to [email protected]
it's that easy! please send me more ARGs! i really want to talk about them!
personal opinion ; internet/web/digital horror is one of the best genres of horror we have, and the 2000s- the mid/late 2010s was their golden era. PROVE ME WRONG
