Grian/Jimmy ship name

This is my petition to make their ship name officially Solidrian!

They are a niche ship but as more people get more familiar with them, specially after limited life, the ship is gonna get more popular. Rn I'm mostly seeing it context of Poly Bad Boys but while I often see Gribeans (Grian/Joel), Smallidairty (Joel and Jimmy), and sometimes mentioned as Smallidarian (Joel/Jimmy/Grian, also known as Poly Bad Boys or BadBoyFriends, which has other stuff in the tag with actual bad boyfriends and abuse so I wouldn't use it) tagged in posts as well, I never see Grian/Jimmy tagged in. This is mostly becuase its a rareship and we haven't really??? figured out a common ship name for them, only recently having a uptick in shippers, and also iv noticed most people tend to lean more towards a brotherly relationship, which is very valid! And sometimes in Poly Bad Boys, people do actually have both Grian and Jimmy dating Joel but not each other, which is also very valid, and is another reason why its not tagged.

But if your like me who slowly started seeing a different opportunity shipping wise and want them to make out or maybe you only just recently were introduced to them and fell for their dynamics without real knowledge of their past interactions and want them to make out; I think its really time to find a proper shipping tag so not only can people who want to indulge in the ship can find it, but also so those who not want to see it can block it out!

And now, I hear you say, but why Solidrian? Well first Grimmy and Grimy which iv seen suggested once or twice has a solid argument by other people; Its tag is already used by others! I think there's a famous person who goes by Grimmy and also just its a common thing. Second is Solidaritian, which iv seen offered once or twice, which I think has potential but its just a bit clunky and long. And Tian or Sian is neat but they’re just names and/or just too short lol. Griandarity is fine but tbh I try and avoid names that contain the whole name of the person? That's just me but I just dont like it. Plus its also a bit clunky.

Hence, Solidrian. Its easy to say, has a nice ring to it, isn't too long or too short, and as far as I'm aware the tag is EMPTY! And that is why, overall, I think this should be the new common ship tag name. Let me know your thoughts and if you hate/love it. If you ship this, please use the name! Tag it with #solidrian and if you know someone who ships it but doesn't know/have a name idea, ask them to use it!

And as always, if you dont like this ship, please either ignore or block and MOVE ON. Your ship is not my ship and that's okay! If I see dynamics differently, that's for me to decide. You will be blocked if you try to start arguments about the ship not being okay or “wrong” becuase your perceived notions of their dynamic. And if you get on my case for shipping at all- Bruhhh I'm not in the main tags dont complain if you came looking for it.

i love every relationship in wxs, obviously, they're frequently bought together do not separate and i can't imagine looking at them without acknowledging that they were all equally important im each other's development, but if i had to pick my favorite, then it would be emukasa. wihout doubt. there is something special about emukasa that makes me slam my head onto wall everyday

not even in a shipping sense, i don't even quite literally ship them outside of polysho — i just think that their friendship is something so precious, a special thing that needs to be hold gently, or else it makes my heart ache. they care for each other. all of wxs do, and this is a fact. but when i think about how emu and tsukasa do so, it stings even more.

the way they started as a weird girl and a boy who tries his best to not lose his shit (or break his spine, according to the main story animation. yes i still think about it on daily basis) dealing with her — and the way they're best friends now, laughing together, crying together, getting mad togther. the way emu was so scared of tsukasa leaving her in amidst a dream, but still wished to support his dreams, because he matters to her so much. the way they were both crying and making fun of each other for it in our happy ending, so the other wouldn't feel so sad. the way it's tsukasa who invites emu to start a new story together in kirapipi★kirapika, just like she has invited him to their first one, to forming wxs together. all these details and moments in their relationship, revealing the bond that they've created.

yes, there are wxs ships i like better, but none of them just hits the way emukasa does. i don't want them to be kissing. i just want them to hold hands and keep on being best friends together, making me cry over them everday.

Ok hear me out, they both used to be pirate captain, they both watched their old captain die, they're both very silly despite being the oldest in the crew, their birthdays are one day apart, and most importantly I love them both very much. I just think that despite seemingly being so different they would understand each other really well. Also you can't tell me their dynamic wouldn't be really cute and fun.

The Hunting dogs fluff hc?? (before and after Fukuchi decided to be an ass)

Jouno, Tecchou and Tachihara would all team up to make Fukuchi a happy fathers day card just because they think he would appreciate it. Teruko on the other hand just made him coffee on fathers day and called it a day.

Jouno and Tachihara would once a month go out for coffee and have a bit alone time togther, since Jouno was one of Tachiharas mentors and especially after Tachihara turned blind. Jouno would help him adapt to not being able to use sight as a sense.

Teruko adopted Tachihara because she wanted to have him under her care so that he couldnt be forced back to his parents.

Teruko and Tachihara ships Jouno and Tecchou hard. For no reason aswell

6. How easily could your OC be convinced to do something that goes against their moral compass?

eeeh... depends. She's the daughter of the most notorious "old guard pirate", so I think the whole morl compass thing is a little bit bendable to begin with. Mira is a good person at heart, but with morally questionable decisions she will very probably go and weigh the cost agains the gain and put her own reservations aside if the gain is worth it.

7. What's one way your OC has changed since you first came up with them?

Mira in herself is "a Sun who's changed since I first came up wit her" in that she is a version of Sun who grew up on her father's ship with Shanks and Buggy. But she's also changed since I first came p with her. Her devil fruit powers are more refined now and intertwined with what she inherited of her father's Haki powers. I'm bending the canon timeline for her A LOT. But first and foremost her personality deviates a lot more from Sun than it did in the beginning, becaus I realised how much Sun was a product of her experiences and that Mira didn't need that whole hard shell protecting her good heart, so she is now a lot softer than Sun.

13. If you met your OC, would the two of you get along?

I think so, yes. I love her a lot. Not sure she'd be just as fond of me, but a woman can hope (we definitely share our taste in men, so that's a start xD)

24. What is an alternative life path your OC might have gone down? How different would their life be if they'd made that decision?

Again, Mira is already on the big, alternative life path simply because she is the AU version of Sun, BUT there is one big decision that sets her life's course in a big way and if she didn't do it, things would be very different in that -

had she told Shanks what she found out about her captivity and the real reason behind her staged "rescue" instead of just running away in the middle of the night and breaking his heart, she would have had him by her side when she learned that she was pregnant and they could (and would) have raised their daughter togther instead of both being miserable on their own and their daughter always wondering who her real father was and why the thought of him made her mother so sad...

Their daughter might have never met the Straw Hats though, so not everything is bleak and sad in their version of reality ^^'

I finally finished Good Omens season 2 and I have so many fucking thoughts which I will list in no particular order:

The Doctor Who references are always golden. (somewhat related: that part when Crowley was bullshitting about war regulations in front of Shax & co in the bookshop? super reminiscent of Ten’s speedy sci-fi jargon)

The music, as always, fucking slaps, especially at the end of each episode when the theme is played in a related style I love it so much

Nina and Maggie!!! I do really like them as a ship (coffee shop + record shop? that’s a built-in au fic) but I also like how they’re not actually together at the end. I love how they’re so healthy in how they go about their potential relationship, both acknowledging how messed up it was for Aziraphale/Crowley to meddle with their lives and how dumb it would be to rush into something headfirst regardless of all the shit they had been through both togther and as individuals. Also Fuck Lindsay all my homies hate Lindsay, as much as I liked what they did with visualising her shitty messages (the blackboard and crumpled notepad sheets? because of coffee shop reasons and how Nina’s work and love life was suffocatingly forced together by the incessant behest of Lindsay)

Beezelbub and Gabriel!?!? When I first came across this ship on ao3 I thought this ship made somewhat sense but would stay in the realms of fanon yet here I am disproven and I can’t lie… they’re kinda cute together. I was caught off guard (like every other character) but fair dues to them. Their parallels with the ineffable husbands are just ughh *chef’s kiss*

Peter Davison and Ty Tennant??? Their appearances did make me giggle for meta’s sake. Perhaps a Georgia Tennant appearance in season 3? (if they make it please please please say they’ll make it)

WAS CROWLEY ACTUALLY RAPHAEL??? I thought it was just a headcanon/fan theory (which I did fall in love with after watching this beautiful animatic years ago) but Crowley having access to classified files and the Metatron mentioning that an archangel being cast out has happened before??? it’s becoming more and more plausible.

AND JUST PRE-FALL CROWLEY IN GENERAL HE LOOKS SO HAPPY all he ever did was ask valid questions goddamnit (literally). nebulae are very pretty I would also be indignant if they weren’t gonna stick around for long. AND THE PARALLEL TO THE FIRST EPISODE WITH THE WINGSSS

Crowley just being a good nice decent person all throughout time (the goats, children, helping out elspeth, ect) it makes me happy

ANDD Aziraphale’s reactions (both positive and negative) to aforementioned deeds create a great moral foil to Crowley and perfectly builds up to what we see at the end (I’ll probably write about s2 Aziraphale in a different post because man I have so many thoughts)

Crowley’s callbacks to the date lunch at the Ritz!! Him talking to Nina and Maggie about taking Aziraphale to the Ritz again to him pointing out the lack of a nightingale (idk if that was leaning into meta a little but it didn’t bother me) just HURT so damn much

“Emotional damage support angel” you’re damn right he is/was

The battery-powered candles lmfaooo and literally any reference to the fire, including the absurd number of fire extinguishers, had me giggling

Muriel is a goddamned (or not so in some sense) treasure, a little ray of sunshine with a heart of gold and dumb of ass. I adore her and found Aziraphale and Crowley humouring her hilarious.

THE SECOND COMING??? I’m sorry wHAT WE ALREADY HAD THE ANTICHRIST NOW WE’RE DEALING WITH CHRIST CHRIST? YOU CAN’T LEAVE US WITH JUST THAT MR. GAIMAN

and of course the bloody

THAT WHOLE SEQUENCE OF CROWLEY FINALLY FINALLY OPENING UP AND JUST BEING WHOLEHEARTEDLY HONEST (going against his predisposition and entire NATURE to lie/omit or walk around the truth)

CONFESSING HIS TRUE FEELING AFTER COUNTLESS MILLENNIA OF PINING EVEN AFTER AZIRAPHALE DROPPED THAT BOMBSHELL

AND HALF STORMING OFF BEFORE GOING BACK TO KISS THE SHIT OUT OF HIM AND THEN FULLY STORMING OFF

with aziraphale clearly unsure of how to react BUT STILL TOUCHES HIS LIPS IN SHOCK AS HE WATCHES CROWLEY LEAVE

That shit had me fully standing up on the sofa, arms in brace position, gasping, screaming, close to tears, indignantly repeating “NEIL GAIMAN!” every couple of seconds

Truly a brilliant scene and a brilliant season overall.

As always the cast, the writers, the set designers, the effects artists, the costumers, the camera crew, everyone who had a part in creating go2 was fucking fantastic.

deja vu — sereshaw

being with rooster, jake thinks, is a lot like a prolonged sense of deja-vu. they’ve done this song and dance so many times now it shouldn’t feel as good as it does. but, as rooster slides his tongue along jake’s neck, he feels a buzz of adrenaline and familiarity flow through his body.jake is a simple man, with simple needs and rooster, is by far his greatest need.

they'd just gotten back to land from the ship. the suicide mission reopening old wounds. jake saved bradley's life, and mavericks, and he'd do it again in a heartbeat. as soon as they were alone, they left no space between them. pouring years of hurt and heartbreak and love into that kiss, they finally pulled apart with teary eyes and promised whispers of change in their relationship. they'd exchanged dog tags, jake gave bradley one of his, and bradley vice versa. it sealed that promise they'd made to themselves and eachother, a promise for the better.

as they fall into bed again for the umpteenth time since they’ve entered the navy, it feels like riding a bike. something he knows how to do, something he’ll never forget.

they’ve always been attached, dating or not, but since they’ve stopped, rooster has felt the need to separate them. jake can count on one hand the number of times rooster has called him by his first name since they stopped dating. after the breakup, it was always his callsign.

whether they were dating or not has never really affected them sleeping together, jake privately thinks they were always meant to be togther in someway. always connected, always there. that bond between them has been everpresent for so many years and jake misses how they used to be.

he misses their bond. he craves his touch and hearing his laugh. he misses tracing his scars in the dim light of their bunks, but most of all, he misses hearing anything but the forced indifference in bradley's tone when he says his name.

so jake, now set with his task, stops rooster from kissing down his neck and pushes him on his back, straddling him, jake leans down, a hand going to rest on rooster's abs under his shirt. “bradley, baby?” jake drawled in his accent, “won’t you say my name?" and jake could feel rooster stiffen underneath him, and turn his head away, he knew exactly what hangman wanted, but bradley was as stubborn as his namesake and he knew it would drive hangman crazy if he didn’t say it. so with a bat of his eyelashes and a cock of his head to the side feigning innocence, bradley smirked up at the gorgeous blonde on top of him “yeah hangman?”

jake, the bastard, reachers forward and chokes him lightly, leaving rooster breathless and flustered, “that’s- that’s not fair.”

“all’s fair in love and war, darlin’” and with that Jake did what he did best, live up to his callsign. using every trick he knew to get bradley as close to the edge as he could then leaving him there until he said his name.

eventually, bradley, red in the face and pretty tears in his pretty eyes relented, crying out a loud gasp of, “JAKE!” as hangman finally let him have his release. panting, flushed and embarrassed, bradley groans as he finally calms down enough to look jake in the eye, already picturing the knowing, smug look would be on his face without even having to turn. “see, it wasn’t that hard, was it pretty boy?” and bradley could only groan, shifting so that he was ontop, “asshole.” he said as he shifted again and drew a noise from jake, “yeah, but you love me.” jake said back confidently as he pulled bradley down by his waist into a searing kiss. feeling bradley smile into the kiss with a soft smile and an even softer, “yes, I do jake,” was enough for jake to kiss him a little deeper, and fall a little more in love with the man (if that was even possible).

so yeah, jake thinks, being with braldey bradshaw is like deja-vu. its as easy riding a bike and he’ll do it as many times as bradley will let him. as long as he keeps calling him jake in that pretty voice of his.

Well I finshed basim story and I think ubisoft did absolutely great bring back the old ways and his story was so good to see and the ending well spoilers don't want to say but it gave me shock and cry a bit overall I give the story a 10/10 as basim is such a great chachter to follow and I belive this is the final assassins creed main series aka for the Xbox style gaming as I know there doing the VR game and also the China one but that rpg on a mobile game and the other one AC ex I think it was called am sure is on a diffrent platform too if am wrong let me know so anyways basim and nehal are such a great pair when there togther I loved this one quteo he says (won.t say anything about what part he said it as again spoliers) "I want home I want nehal " when he said these word it made me cry a little because it so sweet because even if he got on alright with Roshan and I know people ship them but nehal was always the woman basim always turn to and being his friend for years it feel.like there relenship was like close soulmates that had a thing with eatchother overall I ship them even if the ending was sad 😔 these two were so sweet and it is nice that ubisoft never made a love insterst fully for this game and for basim but if he did have one in a way it would of been nehal since she gose were he gose always with him face to face or even in his heart ❤️

So just to keep it clear, most of these ships are from crossover aus. The most used AU is the one I call Rent Free, a mass crossover au that takes the term "Lives in your head rent free" quite literally. (Kinda, they still need to pay rent). If I mention World's End, that's the setting of Rent Free.

May split this into two posts depending on how long this is.

Also I'm going to just focus on the relationships with EACH OTHER for now. If there's any other interest, I can delve into their relationships with other people in each other's lives, much like how I did with Sans and Cinder in a previous post.

Anyway.

Let's start with Soren X Durant

Originally, these two were just going to be friends.

While Soren is much goofier and laidback compared to Durant, I found their attitudes meshing pretty well while coming up with ideas for them. It took a while for them to actually be officially friends, since Durant takes a while to warm up to folks and Soren can be... a lot.

The two met through becoming Guards for World's End's council. It annoys Durant, at first, because he doesn't fully trust Soren yet (not after finding out about Viren being his father). But, the way he sees it, his lord, Euden, and Soren's lords, Ezran and Callum, are friends and the two have vouched for the knight, so he can't be all bad.

After some training together and seeing how much his wolves love Soren, Durant begrudgingly accepted Soren's constant offers of friendship (he wore him down lol). The two of them ended up being partners for the most part, working together during shifts.

Their relationship became more than platonic when I start imagining them as (obviously) roommates. Soren would wake up Durant by literally bouncing on his bed, Durant would let his wolves snuggle with Soren. They ended up being more affectionate with each other and just kind of evolved from there. No big fanfare, just two dudes realizing "Huh. We're good togther. Let's try it."

The two have more of that vibe of stereotypical "bromance" and Soren is definitely the more affectionate of the two when it comes to PDA. While Durant is very quiet in his affection, he's very protective of his partner and will defend Soren with his life.

As far as how this idea came to be, it's mostly the case of: I was into both Dragon Prince and Dragalia at the same time. Out of most of these, the development just kinda happened. Like I said before, their personalities meshed for me when having them interact despite being so different.

Figures that the next 2nd highest pairs had a fire emblem character in there lol. I'll start with Titania and King Hassan.

Before Rent Free, I was doing a mass mobile game crossover, where the player (my character Dark), was able to summon folks from different mobile games to combat a virus called the "Mad Moon". Nothing came of it, but it is something like Rent Free's predecessor.

Titania has a very complicated relationship with the concept of death. It took many people she cared for and loved. She didn't fear it for herself, but feared it for others. Being summoned to Askr has been a bit of a relief, as the summoner did everything they could to keep her loved ones safe when she could not.

Meeting the man known as the King Hassan was alarming at first. For a moment she thought she was staring the grim reaper in the eyes. It was only when her summoner introduced the two of them that she noticed something about this reaper.

The blue lights, his eyes, were shining with something akin to affection for her summoner, his master, as he called her.

She could tell he was trustworthy.

As the two were considered seasoned warriors, both Titania and King Hassan (affectionately dubbeed Grampa Hassan by the younger assassins) would train the younger fighters and help improve their skills. Over the course of time, they ended up growing close as allies, though Hassan was clearly drawing a line between them, something that Titania didn't mind. She knew enough assassins to understand why he did such a thing.

The Old Man of the Mountain himself respected the red haired paladin, watching as she trained future fighters and continued to grow. He noticed how she didn't mind the aura of death around him, how she could easily tell how much he cared about his master. In all fairness, he could see the affection she had for his master, her summoner, as well.

He could tell that she would not easily betray them.

Their protectiveness of those they cared for only drew them closer. An unspoken bond between protectors formed. The two seek out each other's company, feeling at peace with someone who understands them.

While this isn't the most romantic ships, that wasn't really my intention. It could very well be romantic, but it would be subtle. Like for the longest time you see these two just hanging out, then one day Hassan happens to kiss her hand and you're like "WAIT WHAT THE HECK". I don't think there would be any sexual stuff between the two, the closest to physical affection they'd get would be a hug.

Now for Ced and Lloyd.

This ship is relatively new for me, but I still have thoughts about them. Should also note that while this COULD work for series!Lloyd, I'm kinda basing this off Movie!Lloyd.

Here's my thought process behind them being good fits: both boys have very tense relationships with their fathers, are associated with the color green, have ancestors that are considered insanely powerful, and they are part of some kind of resistance force. They surprisingly have a lot in common, even with their desire to help everyone.

The relationship might be a bit rocky; Ced has a tendency to hyperfocus on things and ignore others, while not meaning to. Lloyd has to deal with his own depression and fears of being abandoned for what his father had done. They'd need to have clear communication for the relationship to work, but that would take time and a lot of therapy on both ends.

As far as how they'd meet, it'd definitely be in a school setting. Lloyd happens to be walking to class with his friends and sees Ced performing magic with an outdoor class and being in complete awe of his abilities. Similarly, Ced happens to see Lloyd use spinjutsu and immediately grows fascinated by the power. What starts as a "hey I want to learn how you're able to do that" relationship would build into a friendship, which would develope into something more later on.

Again, I'm still very much working out the details of their relationship.

Since we're on a fire emblem kick, let's jump to Underswap Sans and Ephraim!

This pair came from a Three Houses Crossover AU that I just vaguely posted about on my art blog but never really got around to writing it. I'm going off memory for most of the bits about the AU, so keep that in mind.

Underswap Sans, whom I'll call Blue for the sake of simplicity, was the son of a merchant in the Golden Deer country (I wasn't gonna use the original countries but I never got around to naming the others) and Ephraim was a noble from (I believe) the Blue Lion House. The two trained together and became good friends through it.

Ephraim, the attractive fellow he is, gets a lot of attention from everyone in the student body, but he grew attached to Blue and decided to focus on his friend when he didn't want to deal with the flirting of everyone else. Blue himself knew he felt something insanely strong for his friend, but these two have no idea that they do actually have crushes.

In the Rent Free AU, similar to Durant and Soren, the two meet as members of the Guard and start out as friends. Blue is the first to get a crush on him, finding Ephraim's dedication to protecting others admirable. During a sparring match, Ephraim realizes his own growing crush on Blue. Though similar to the FE3H au, it takes them a while to admit it.

TIME FOR THE FATE POLYCULE

Ok, so this one is one of my favorites.

The predecessor of Rent Free is where this started, but also happened around the time that RWBY was focusing on Qrow improving himself and making friends. And then... well that was the end for Clover.

In the predcessor, Qrow came to the world around the time Clover passed, so his emotions were extremely fresh (as was my growing animosity towards Ironwood, but that's something else entirely). Before he arrived, Verica, of Dragalia Lost, had made friends with with Kibera, of King's Raid, which surprised a lot of people, as Kibera hates the concept of fate and Verica lives by it. The two of them had much longer to get to know each other and, despite their personality differences, they somehow managed to get the relationship to work.

Seeing Qrow in pain due to his perceived "fate" to be alone, the two decided to help him through it (and by decided, I mean Verica told Kibera they were helping and Kibera couldn't say no to her). Verica offered words of comfort, some physical affection if needed; while Kibera provided a place to get Qrow's more violent feelings out.

The two of tthem grew to be important parts of Qrow's life, a type of support he didn't have before. They didn't care if he was unlucky or if he didn't want to be close to anyone; they cared about him.

Kibera and Verica were the ones to ask if Qrow would be interested in a relationship with them. They'd both fallen for him but wanted to make sure he was okay with having more then one partner. He gave himself some time to think but in the end, he agreed to give it a try.

When Winter joined the team, Qrow was happy to see her again. The two of them had an on and off relationship and wanted to introduce her to his new partners, whom he had discussed adding her into the polycule, if she was okay with it. They had agreed, however, that making friends with her came first. Winter bonded with Verica the strongest and the two spend the most time together when not with the boys as well.

Rent Free is pretty similar, in that Qrow is brought in first before they add Winter, though she and Qrow didn't have an on off relationship.
