Spy x Family Ch 96 spoilers

Seeing people complain about Anya telling Damian that she can read minds before Loid/Yor is so mind boggling to me. Because even if we ignore the fact that Anya is scared of being abandoned by Loid and Yor if she tells them the truth, or the fact that Damian is someone her age/a peer, and it's common for kids to feel like it's easier to tell things to their peers then to their parents... even if we ignore all that, it was ALWAYS going to Damian. I feel like Endo has been hinting that for a long time. It's a recurring theme/gag that Damian questions if Anya can read minds... and I feel like Endo has also been building up the fact that Anya and Damian actually are in pretty similar situations... they both want to impress their father/make their father proud.

LIKE THIS PANEL... Anya isn't mind reading here. There are no sparkles around her head. She didnt need to mind read! She KNOWS that Damian loves his father!

And there have been many moments in which she seems to show some reflection/thought after hearing Damians thoughts about his father (like during the dodge ball game, or her apologizing when they were making their paper animals)

ALSO THIS SCENE...

Here Anya literally says she doesn't even know if Loid likes her, because he's so hard to understand. But she loves him, and believes in him. Isn't that EXACTLY what Damian is going through right now?

Perhaps people didn't completely register all these small moments bc of the gag/jokey vibe Damian and Anya moments have, but I feel like it's ALWAYS been there that Anya maybe relates to Damian in this way, which is why she has her moments where she tries to be kind to him.

Also I want to point out that, in a LOT of pivotal moments, Endo DOESNT tell us what Anya is thinking. Instead we have to guess or theorize... and we know that when Anya is doing a sobered up/serious expression, we should definitely pay attention. (Some random panels below to show u what I mean).

And in this panel, I feel like Endo is doing something similar... I mean look at Anya's expression!

So I feel like in this moment, where Damian is being honest, and kind, and true to himself-- it makes Anya want to be truthful too. And I don't think it came out of nowhere. I mean I was surprised LOL but I never thought it didn't make sense for this to happen.

I think people forget that Anya is probably the character we know the least about, and that a lot of her more "serious" thoughts are usually kept from us, but that doesn't mean she's not... thinking serious things lol!!

hello securitywaiter nation have you thought about ness being abby’s teacher bc I HAVE

below the cut because i can't shut up ever :D

-abby does well enough in school academically but is still needs some work in the socioemotional dept

-when she starts a new school year mike is a bit worried but then she comes back home absolutely ecstatic and mike is like “okay this is good”

-she talks all about how mr. ness lets her color while he teaches and how mr. ness gave them all name tags w silly drawings (hers is a bear) etc etc

-mike is actually really happy bc most teachers have a hard time understanding abby (heck, he has a hard time understanding her) so he’s looking forward to meeting this mr. ness during back to school night

-it goes on like this for awhile, with abby raving about mr. ness and mike is just happy that his little sister seems to be doing better in school. the first time she comes home talking about these kids she hung out with at recess he practically cries

-back to school night is here and the first time mike sees this mr. ness he’s like abby u traitor you didnt tell me this man was exactly my type (he doesn’t actually tell her bc he never brings up his lovelife around her - not that he’s had much of one - but still isn’t this the type of things siblings know intrinsically)

-anyways they’re having the kids show their guardians around the classroom and their seats and everything and then mr. ness is explaining the way his class works and mike is totally paying attention. yup. he’s not distracted by those chocolate brown eyes at ALL

-so they’re waiting to do the one-on-ones with the teacher and mike crouches down next to abby and tries to be all chill “hey, abs. has mr. ness ever mentioned a partner or anything?” acting all nonchalant

-but abby sees right through him and is immediately like “he’s single! do u want me to put in good word for you?” and mikes like “NO i have no idea what ur talking about haha i just wanted to know bc it’s important to know that about ur teachers okay wait why are you smiling like that”

-(abby’s a little menace and already ships it)

-when it’s finally their turn mike is just chanting to himself “be normal. be normal. be normal” lmao

-but now that he’s sitting face to face with the teacher he notices that he has freckles and every chance he had at playing it cool goes out the window

-ness is telling him all about how well abby is doing in class and if there was anything he could do to make it easier for her in the classroom and abby’s just sitting there looking at mike internally screaming with a smile

-so she turns to her teacher and is like “you should get mike’s number just in case something comes up. he’ll probably think of some things later since he’s been taking care of me alone for awhile” (bc u know when kids do that things where they kinda trauma dump at the most random moments lmao)

-and ness at first refuses and is like “im sure email works just fine!” and abby’s like WHYY is he not just taking the bait and then she has like a lightbulb moment

-bc ness probably assumes like everyone else that mike is a single father and abby’s his daughter and abby’s like oh no how do i make this work

-so she goes full anya mode (for my spy x family watchers) and is like “im sure mike would appreciate having your number on hand! he’s a very protective older brother you see. taking care of his little sister must be hard. i’m sure being a big brother like him is hard so it’d be for his peace of mind. did i mention he’s my older brother”

-and ness also has a little bit of a crush already forming so he doesn’t catch the obvious set up and is instead distracted by the fact that the handsome guy in front of him is in fact NOT a single father so maybe he does have a chance wowow

-yup so they exchange numbers andddddd ill come back to this later i really need coffee

I’m kinda working on a morpheus x hades daughter fic where she finds him and breaks him out of his imprisonment he’s kinda rude to her at first

not being grateful that she just rescued him. she’s annoyed by his attitude towards her

dream “I really didn’t need your help.”

y/n: “oh really, just moments again you were trapped inside a fishbowl and naked.”

morpheus: “I had it handled.”

Y/n: “The only place you handled it in was being too prideful.”

morpheus: “watch your tongue you maybe the daughter of hades bu-”

y/n: “oh gosh, oh now what’re you going to do banish me to the shadows, give me nightmares for eternity.”

y/n: “really I’m not scared of you Dream Lord.”

“ungrateful bastard” *mumbles*

morpheus: “I heard that”

y/n groans and mumbles under her breath flames flickering at the tips of her hair angry at the ungrateful dream lord.

before shaking her head and calming down.

just as she walks through, “thank you,” morpheus says, and she stops.

“now see that wasn’t so hard” She said walking further into the portal then closing it behind her

“Mama mama!” a little voice called out and she turned around seeing her daughter Atë running towards.

“oh there’s my little ball of mischief.” y/n smiled scooping up her daughter and tickling her,

y/n then saw her brother Zagreus with flowers coming out of his ears.

“atë?” hee daughter looked down shyly but giggles at the mischief she’s caused while her mother was away.

“I’m never watching her again,” Zagreus says and y/n just chuckled and tells her daughter to get rid of the flowers.

she does and fixes the other mischief she’s caused, “She caused Charon’s bought to tip over and the River Styx to be filled with what she’s calls liquid rainbow.”

“your daughter is mischief incarnate.” he says and just tickles her daughter in agreement

also yes atë is morpheus and y/n’s child that he doesn’t know about cause he cut all times with her after she broke up with him and didn’t even respond to anything when she tried to tell him

I have another AU on my hands! Yay! And no idea where to take it! Double-yay!

anyways. to sort my thoughts but also if anyone wants to chime in PLEASE do my brain is too empty recently.

Main duo are ATSV!Hobie and Comics!Hobie. They're funny okay, let them cause C H A O S. Comics!Miguel is there basically anytime they mess with the Spider Society because damn if he doesn't want to deck ATSV!Miguel for good.

Billy and Anya are gonna be there bc they, well, they're the leaders of the Web-Warriors. And I think ATSV!Hobie and Billy would have a blast with another British spider-man around.

Also Karn. Because I love Karn, okay? Let it be a little messed up and filled with anxiety and guilt and all-seeing bc Master Weaver. (also it/its pronouns). And Noir, because he's also a silly miserable little guy and he and Hobie are absolutely besties. At some point in the, uh, future, SV!Noir will also show up. I'm a 19 yo Noir-truther but imagine comics!Noir calling ISTV!Noir old,,,,,, they'd be bloody hilarious. Correction, will be, if once I get there.

Semi-regular appearances will be Lady Spider because I love her and her aesthetic and the Pavitrs bc they're so different from one another?? dunno if i'll have them meet but ATSV!Hobie sure knows both of em. Also also also I might let ATSV get into the plot as well? I'm ignoring spider-geddon bc no and also I can't find the comics, but ATSV??? Imagine 2099 (ATSV!Miguel) going like, "YOU WILL NOT SAVE YOUR FATHER AND DISRUPT CANON" and Hobie goes like oh fuck it, I'm not letting u do that and comic!Miguel zaps in to deck his alternate self bc TF U TRYING TO MAKE THAT KID LET HIS DAD DIE

Bonus Gwen learning that there's another Gwen Stacy out there who did get a good ending (idk if i'll write comics!Gwen on screen tho tbh). The ATSV and ITSV gang get introduced to some of the Web-Warriors. The Spider Society learns that what's really messing with those worlds isn't "cAnOn" being disrupted but the fact that their tech messes with the strands of the Web.

And then idk. i don't have any idea for a plot. i desperately need a plot. please helpp me i'm obsessed but my brain won't plot

I have opinions about PAFl, so here's a post of my favourite lines from each character who actually talks in the songs

(If I missed a character, I'm sorry)

Yura

"Fair play is overrated"

I feel like this is just a very Yura line. Absolutely adore this morally questionable disaster man. /p

Anya

"My older bro's a loser, and my mom is a whore!"

Funniest line in the series, 10/10. Love the fact she's just casually insulting her whole family

Olya

*is surrounded by many levitating sharp objects*

"I see you kids sure love being dramatic, huh?"

Need I say more?

Katya

"What's the use of escaping the future when you can mold it into whatever you please?"

This one (and most of the others from this point onwards) isn't one I like for comedical reasons. I think it's a very good representation of Katya's worldview and how it starts to influence Yura as well later on.

Sanya

"Destructive ones like me fold when there is nothing to bust"

There's a sort of pattern with phrases like this. Like how later on Yura says, "Self-hating ones like us crack when we betray someone's trust." I'm pretty sure this is the first instance of this. I like the consistency.

Nikita

"when there was no jury, i was the judge"

I really like this line. I can't really phrase why very well. It's just a very good quote.

(I also really like the scene in The Mill where he says that Olya has no Talent, based purely on how he phrased it. It sounds like he's just making fun of her.)

Dima

"I WONDER IF MY AMYGDALA'S GOING NUMB"

The amygdala is the part of the brain that controls memory, decision-making, and emotional regulation. This line is the start of Dima gradually realizing he's being manipulated.

In Like A Dog, Dr. Temnova says "Be grateful for the freedom of lacking emotion." She's doing this to his mental state intentionally.

I just like unhinged scientist ladies with highly questionable morals. That's it. That's the only reason I like this bit.

hi.. i’m talking about both fictional minor characters and real minors; if you sexualise them, dni, it’s really that simple. unless of course (for the characters) in the fictional work they grow up and are 18+ some time later on in their story.

also, there r enough fictional characters out there who are minors — many are literal kids … like klee/diona from gi? anya from spyxfamily? gon & killua from hxh? are they not minors in your eyes? bcs ima tell u, they clearly are drawn as ones
