A lot of people like to say that if Sakura was a man, her character wouldn’t be as disliked as it is now.

And to that I want to say: While some people might like Sakura better if she was a man, tones of people would hate her even more if she was a man. Her creepy behavior with Sasuke would seems EVEN creepier to the audience if she was a man.

Sometimes the reason for hating a female character isn’t just sexism, it’s just that the female character in question is a horrible human being with a poor character development.

Sasuke's dialogue when he asked Naruto to give his rinnegan eye to Kakashi piqued my interest, because in anime subtitle and viz translation Sasuke's line is "....by transplanting my left eye to Kakashi or someone else". The thing is, people who were awake from Infinite Tsukuyomi other than Naruto and Sasuke are just Kakashi and Sakura. Yet instead saying "...by transplanting my left eye to Kakashi or Sakura" he said "you can transplant my left eye and undo Infinite Tsukuyomi with Kakashi or whoever else I don't recall the name". XDDDD Receiving the possibly strongest doujutsu and undoing world-wide genjutsu are big tasks yet Sasuke didn't even have Sakura's name in his mind, which is appropriate for him considering Sakura's disappointing record LOL. Makes me wonder if the utter lie "my wife is not a weak woman" line is just Sasuke's lip service to (slightly) reassure Sarada.

This is so true and I thought about it long back but never got a chance to write about it. 

I remember an Answer where I wrote, “Sasuke keeps Kakashi in a higher place than Sakura and Team Taka”. My reason behind this claim is simply because Sasuke gave a plenty of thought bubbles related to Kakashi throughout the Manga. He considers Kakashi as this strong person, he remembers his teachings and advice... He even acknowledges it just like how he wishes his eyes could be transplanted to Kakashi. 

But Boy.... He did none of that for Sakura. Not even once. He never thought about her exclusively which is not under the context of Team 7.

Dan and Tsunade loved each other... But Dan was thinking about Tsunade right after he got resurrected by Edo Tensei and was worrying about her when he got to know that Tsunade was fighting Madara. 

Now this doesn’t mean that Sasuke loves Kakashi just because he was thinking about him. My point is, If you like or admire or respect a person even as a friend... You’d just think about them at least sporadically. Which shows how irrelevant Sakura is for Sasuke.

LOL. Undeniably Yes. And I think that’s exactly how it is. 

Because, those words from Sasuke was what kept Sarada from not terming their relationship as ‘Absolute Sham’ anymore than she already suspected out to be.

So you know that time when Sasuke was telling Sakura that he didn't save her, but Naruto did? (This girl really had the nerves to call Sasuke modest because she didn't believe Naruto actually saved her, which makes me hate her even more) And he had like a frustrated expression. ACCORDING TO SS STANS, our boy was feeling jealous because Naruto got to save Sakura and not him..

Hello! :) At first i didnt get what scene you were mentioning jaja It's important to point out that in that scene, Sasuke NEVER (as always) looked at sakura in the eyes or at least turn around to be face to face with her. He is with his hands in his pockets, as fresh and natural as lettuce. If his feelings were more complex for her, his posture and how he faces her, would have been others. All the conversation was about naruto, because in fact both characters were looking at him. Despite it was sakura the one talking and the object of whom was saved, Sasuke directed it to Naruto, and also he was staring at him.

This situation in fact dismisses Sakura wishes so bad and SS too. Because she thought of Sasuke as some prince who came to save her ass, and SS thought the same too, but it's Sasuke himself who crashes her dreams claryfing she wasnt saved by him, but by Naruto. This could have been a good start for Naruto and Sakura friendship, strong one, or even romance but what to expecto from Cherry blossom.

Anyway, Sasuke here was jealous and frustrated YES. But because of Naruto actions, those actions have nothing to do with Sakura. The jealousy started to stain itself since Naruto started to become stronger so Sasuke thought he would be left behind. (This jealousy is putting too much attention to someone you supposedly hate or dont care, as anti says) Sakura relevance and preesence in that fight was very irrelevant in the end. The objective of that fight wasnt "save sakura" at all, was defeating Gaara and also Orochimaru, most episodes were centered on this parts. Sakura was someone who happened to be there, as shikamaru. I am conscient that both boys wanted to save her but...the real deal was defeating Gaara. Sasuke saw Naruto display all type of jutsus along with GamaBunta invocation, so he was in awe. That jealousy started to rust itself. Sasuke would have felt jealous if Naruto saved Sakura, Shikamaru or even Hinata. What, SS would say Sasuke felt jealous because he had feelings for hinata? This arc was the prelude of his leaving, and that scene too just showed us his frustration of not being equal to a person he has complex feelings of love . All of those feelings he was experimenting with Naruto, along with the jealousy and also the contradiction of feeling warm and fuzzy around him, were the ones who make him take that decision. It was always about Naruto, and Itachi respectively. It was never about her, and will never be.

I find it funny when SS makes fun of NH for being a bad marriage by saying Naruto's cheating with Sakura in his office and then turning around saying Sakura has the best husband cause by their own logic,SS is also a bad marriage cause Sakura would be cheating on "best husband" too.

In their eyes Sakura can be as much of a whore as she wants to. That’s why most SS ship her with the entire Uchiha clan whether it’s cheating on Sasuke or borderline pedophilia when they ship her with Madara. But let Hinata even utter Naruto’s name and she’s suddenly a desperate slut.

Sakura is so frustrating because it would have been so easy to make her character interesting and poinient. Yeah she was weak in part one, and giving her the Chakra super strength fixed that but the problem with her was like 10% being physically not capable and 90% emotionally uncompelling and unsympathetic which never gets fixed or addressed cause kishi is allergic to developing female characters.

Like... her fight with ino was one of the best fights in part 1 and so emotionally tense and good. Stop forcing her with team seven ( which will only ever force her into useless character mode) and make her story about her and ino. Ino is the perfect kunoichi- beautiful and fashionable and fun and nice and sakura isn't any of those things and they love in a society which expects women to uphold feminine values and deems them as failures if they can't. BUT their society also views feminine traits as inherently inferior to masculine traits. So sakura resents ino for being the perfect woman which society has told her she failed at doing, and ino resents sakura for rejecting femininity which society has told ino she should have done. Eventually they realize that they aren't the enemy, strict and unfair gender rules and sexism are the enemy. That could have been a really good story!!!! It was right there!!! It was basically already there!!! Make them both realize they never wanted sasuke they just wanted the victory of proving they weren't the inferior one.

And then- have sakura get another plot about how her time a a medic makes her realize how bad the system they live in is. She's healing 12 year old from battle scars and eventually she's not 12 anymore but they still are and it's rubbing her the wrong way. She has to break it to a 14 year old girl that her battle injuries and made it so she'll never walk again and listens while the girls sensei 'comforts' her by saying that she could still make a great house wife! Sakura dealing with the physical and physiological trauma and the system and getting radicalized by it would've made her relationship to naruto and sasuke actualy meaningful by having an ideology other than just GIRL POWER!!!!
