Reasons Why Klaroline Is Better #1

Reasons why I like Klaroline more than Cami and Klaus: Cami is constantly trying to pick apart Klaus actions, using her ‘degree’ (like wasn’t she still a student for half the show), well Caroline actually challenged Klaus. You're supposed to talk with your partner, not analyze them.

Also, circling back to the student thing, isn’t it worse to have someone who is a student, then one who isn’t one at all, especially when it comes to something mental. Like the person ‘thinks’ they ‘know’ what they're doing, but they really don’t, and I feel like that’s more dangerous. I also hated Cami’s judgy attitude overall, like how she constantly tried to analyze everybody, annoyed the HELL out of me (like I’m pretty sure psychiatrists aren't supposed to ‘judge’ for multiple reasons, isn’t the first thing they teach you for that degree, that you aren't supposed to be judgy, or at least showing that you are being judgy).

Klaus : *Not ripping her heart out because she's the only thing that reminds him of Caroline*

If they didnt cast Leah as Cami they wouldve casted someone else and that same person wouldve received the same hate, stop letting your character bias affect how you see the actual actress

the thing about the thing is that any klaus ship makes more sense than kl*roline and those people have to act like that to compensate. and i do mean literally any klaus ship.

the originals edition? klaurora ate. would've done great things if not for elijah. klamille? ain't everyone's cup of tea but it still makes more sense for klaus to have an interest in her than that other blonde girl at the very LEAST from a psychology aspect and to get at marcel and kieran. klayley? even if the only thing they Ever did was hate fuck, it still would've been more in character. klaus and lucien, klaus and genevieve, all of them make at least some sense from a narrative point of view.

tvd? klaus and elena? would've been a dark and twisty ass romance, but would've been great to witness. klaus and bonnie? not only would it have been eagerly accepted, but it was WANTED by the actors too. klaus and katherine? c'mon. (if you come to me about 'he killed her family!!' i'm sorry but i do not care they would've been so fucking funny). klaus and stefan.

even in the fucking BOOKS, klaus and vivianne were so, so much better. it's just.

like i'm SORRY but no matter what other ship it is kl*roline falls flat. he liked her because why? he has a weird complex about his sister and he wanted to assert dominance over tyler. there was literally no other reason for that man to give a shit about her.

I know Jackson is disliked but he had a right to voice opinions on Hope or Hayley when Hayley lacked real boundaries with Jackson

If Cami wasn't blonde, y'all wouldn't be saying a damn thing about how she's trying to be like Caroline. Rebekah, Mary Louise, and Liv are also blondes, but you don't pull that shit with them...

Y'all have this weird entitlement thing going on where Caroline is the messiah of everything and its existence. And anyone who dares disagree or call her out or let alone breathe around her (or the guy she's interested in at the moment) is suddenly beneath her. But, Cami was the best person to be with him since Julie thought there had to be a love interest for him.

Caroline basically almost had every storyline at some point giving to her so I don't see how people can think she was more mistreated then bonnie

Yeah, they put Caroline everywhere even though her presence made no sense. Let me tell you a story, dear anon.

I started watching The Originals season 3 without having seen any of the previous seasons or TVD (I did know a little about Delena because of YouTube videos) and instantly Klaus became my favourite character. I was like 8/9, at the time.

And well, I stumbled with fanfiction and when I went to search Klamille fanfiction. There was nothing, specially given that at the time I could only read in spanish (and some Portuguese, but that's another story) so I clicked in one that had Klaus in it. It was a Klaroline fanfiction and when the character of Caroline appeared I had no idea who that was. Still, I kept reading because Klaus was/is my hyperfixation. I went like a year reading without knowing who the hell that was so I just sort of used Caroline as YN. I finally watched TVD when I was 11 thanks to the magic of the internet and my own obsession over Klaus. I had seen videos of Klaroline before in YouTube, but they didn't really illustrated Caroline as a character. So you can imagine my surprise when I find out who this character is and turns out she is the most annoying girl in the show. I was so confused as to why there was so many fics between them and none of Klamille. So, for a couple of years I read fics were Klaus was paired with anyone except Caroline (Klaulena/Klonnie/Klayley/Klefan and Klebekah were my saviours) until I ran out of them and had to read Klaroline fics. I kept doing the "Caroline as YN" thing because I hated the character but I needed content and some fics were very interesting. Then I learnt how to read in English and I was saved. Delena fics saved me from the never ending mountain of Klaroline fics.

In most of those fics every single character of TVD was somehow the villain in Caroline's story, in many it was Bonnie. In others Bonnie was Caroline's ride or die and hated Elena and was okay with Klaroline and was mad at Tyler for hurting Caroline, which is wildly out of character for Bonnie.

Anyway, now you know my issue with Klaroline and Caroline.

I get that when someone falls for someone with the same eye color and hair color as the last person they loved, that doesn't mean they are using the second person as a replacement.

BUT when writers try and turn a character into a completely other character, with similar mannerisms, and try to re-create chemistry, and sell us a second copy of a character, what are we supposed to do?

Like they literally used scenes/lines/effects from Klaroline, into Cami and Klaus relationship, to try and recreate Klaroline. Which just made me hate her and the writer’s even more. Like if you’re going through all this work, and failing, would it kill you to just give us Klaroline?

No, instead they forced both Klaus and Caroline to be with other people, and try and create clearly FAKE chemistry. Like if you thought Kamillie was bad, Steroline made me wanna bang my head against a wall. Now, I’m not saying friend’s-to-lover’s is a bad thing, I’ve seen and read some great stories like that, but you gotta do it right, which the writers of TVD, failed at.

Also, how can you say it’s love, when the guy leaves the girl on her wedding day (even though the wedding was just a plan to protect his ex), to once again protect his ex (and brother).

Also, Bonnie deserved a happy ending, why the hell did they kill Enzo, when it wasn’t necessary! (But that’s a rant for a whole other time)

I have 3 Things to say :

I am so fucking happy that she is dead, like I know that this show ended years ago, but the SATISFACTION it gives me.

2. Girl the KLAUS, was so copied form Caroline and plus it sounds so whiny.

3. And last but not least is the fact that she said I love you and there was a hell lot of Klamille, but it does not annoy me as much as it normally does.

WHY you ask? Because she dies so therefore Goodbye you little B***h, good ridance.

Now that she is gone Klaroline is the only thing in the picture.

Au revoir Camille, tu vas pas me manquer!!!

Therapist and her patient???

I was arguing with a kl*roline stan yesterday (ik we should steer clear but this one was too deluded)

and this mf turned around and said Cami was a predator and problematic bc she fell in love with her vulnerable patient

the patient being a millennium old hybrid, who sought her out, had an attraction to her before their "sessions" had even begun, and is in no way vulnerable in this dynamic

Cami being a 23 year old PSYCH STUDENT, NOT A LICENSED THERAPIST...i rlly wanna know where this idea of Cami being a professional has come from bc it was never said in the show, Ive also studied psych does that immediately make me a therapist

It was even stated in the show that she wasnt an actual therapist, just someone who had an understanding of the mind which is why Klaus was fascinated

Cami: "I think you would benefit from speaking to someone professionally" then Klaus saying he would prefer to talk to her

If Miss O'Connell was a licensed therapist u think she'd be in Rousseau's serving drinks?!?! She literally just graduated college (they also said klaus and cami's age gap was just as bad as klaus and cares.....caroline being the high school student who legally cant drink yet)

just wanted to make that clear bc some ppl really be acting like she was the aggressor in their dynamic and that klaus was "a vulnerable puppy who grew unhealthy bonds bc of her manipulation."

Another thing I’ll NEVER forgive TO and Legacies for is erasing the love Cami had for Hope.

Cami was a human who was willing to protect Hope as a baby.

It was for Cami who Hope used magic the first time to protect.

It was Cami who left Hope a collection of magical objects so she would have a connection to her heritage.

It was for Hope that Cami was willing to endure compulsion again to protect.

Cami O’Connell loved Hope Mikaelson like a daughter and Hope will never know.

“I want to see the beast in the beauty. the half smile, half snarl. the unapologetic anger. I would like to see the man forgive the monster. to see her, blood and all, and love her anyway.” is literally about cami's dark vampire side and how klaus loved her unconditionally especially when she couldn't be an idealized version of herself that represented 'goodness' to klaus. i know vampirism for cami was an unpopular choice but it was SO important for klamille's relationship and to prevent klamille from falling into the trap DE did - where the woman loses herself in trying to satisfy the bad man's redemption fantasy. cami was allowed to be flawed and not make good choices (which the same fandom that called her a mary sue seemed to be unhappy with but i digress)
