The Targaryens Did Not:
massacre a whole race or group of ethnically different people based on their ethnicity or race: they never “targeted the Westerosi for simply being Westori or belonging to a specific group of people or religion” NOR “kill in mass specific people such as Northerners or the Dornish people. So, they didn’t commit genocide either”
destroy religious sites or religious totems (weirwood trees)
force Westerosi lords nor peasants to adopt Valyrian cultural practices or habits. they didn’t “beat, tortured and killed the people they conquered for continuing to practice their culture rather than adopting Valyrian customs”
force Westerosi lords to discontinue their own cultural practices and religions, forgoe their house words, etc. just because they felt that Valyrian culture needed to be spread, they didn’t “conquer in the name of their Valyrian ancestry or on the name of Old Valyria” – and those that they did were actually better to have gone or legally abolished or welcomed by Westerosi to be abolished/outlawed: Ironborn raving/reaping AND right of the first night

As a whole, the Targaryens respected and let the Kingdoms continue mostly as they were with their own beliefs and culture.
The Targaryens didn’t plunder resources or money from the conquered people and land to make themselves, Valyrian descendants, more powerful and wealthy to have dominion and subjugate the conquered people. The Targaryens also didn’t conquer in the name of their Valyrian ancestry or on the name of Old Valyria. They didn’t conquer to further extend their own Valyrian power or threshold or create a New Valyria. The conquered people still held their culture, titles and lands.
The Targaryens also never targeted the Westori for simply being Westori or belonging to a specific group of people or religion. The Targaryens didn’t kill in mass specific people such as Northerners or the Dornish people. So, they didn’t commit genocide either.
Honestly, it’s not that hard to understand the difference between conquest, colonialism and genocide if antis actually paid attention to and actually cared about what poc had to say about genocide and colonialism considering we have a long history with real-life genocide and colonialism to this day.

I agree that the majority of Rhaenicents are Team Black, but that’s simply because the HotD fandom is 80% Rhaenyra stans, so obviously they’ll dominate every ship she’s in. But it’s a simple ratio say there are 33 Rhaenyra stans for every 13 Alicent stans, 11 Rhaenyra stans ship Rhaenicent whilst 7 Alicent stans ship Rhaenicent. Rhaenyra stans make up the most of Rhaenicent but most Alicent stans ship Rhaenicent whilst most Rhaenyra stans don’t.

Laena is actually a Targaryen now I have decided. Targaryen mother ? Boom! Still a Targaryen. Now TG can finally stop acting like they are “appreciating” or “respecting” Baela and Rhaena’s maternal line! :D
They don't really care much about the mothers. As is pretty obvious given that back when ep 6 aired some green stans were agreeing with Alicent in her comment of the Velaryon boys.
"It is a wonder their eggs hatched" is the line I have seen some agree with.
They don't particularly care about any female characters other than Alicent, Helaena and Jaehaera. Helaena and Jaehaera aren't even characters, they are just cardboards. And show Alicent isn't a character either, she is a walking aesthetic.

Team Black has the real protagonist: a Queen claiming back her throne and avenging her son.
Team Green’s “protagonist” just stands around throwing herself a pity party. Alicent has nothing to do because they’ve made her so weak and pathetic 😂
Not exactly sure what they will do with Alicent, but she is probably gonna have a lot of screen time regardless of her personality or role in the story.

So am I right that the blacks saying common phrases about the greens in the video, which was presented as a dispute, is a disaster, but Tom and Ewan laughing at the scene of Luke's death and calling him a "snack" is completely normal? WTF is wrong with TG fandom (and their actors)?
The Greens loved that interview which again just shows their double standards. When B&C happens they are going to be scandalised, but they joke about Luke's death.

Well this person didn't seem to understand that the book was written after the Dance and from the perspective of Green supporters and Mushroom, it was written by people who hate Rhaenyra and prop up Aegon and even they couldn't do a very good job making Aegon look good.
It's really just a very misogynistic read of the Dance.

Bethany Antonia: We are Black Targaryens, which is huge, and is just so exciting. Just from a responsibility point of view, more than anything, it’s so nice to have that, so that other people can watch the show and see themselves on screen. Representation is so important.

I couldn’t care less about their hatred for House Targaryen but it’s just so funny to me how y’all all ears when your fav yt woman feed y’all with cringe headcanons and y’all treating it like a fact but the moment Bethany say something y’all completely ignoring it and disrespecting her opinion.
And Baela and Rhaena are literally more Targaryen than Velaryon (and more Targaryen than Alicent’s children) since their mother is half Targaryen herself.
Representation is very important. There are barely any people of colour in fantasy/supernatural/medieval genre. Majority of medieval and fantasy shows are European based, so they don't cast actors of color for them. And when they are casted people go rabid.
I remember when the trailer for the first season of Vikings Valhalla aired and people were pissed that a black woman was playing an Earl, even though her backstory made sense (I think she was the widow of the Earl) shit also got ugly when the velaryons were casted.
We live in a world where a little bit of representation is met with hate and people yelling "woke" and it's incredibly fucked up. Especially in fantasy, why would you care what's the skin colour of characters in a fantasy show? Why would you care about the skin colour of someone at all?
Anyways, I'm gonna be ready to defend Baela and Rhaena and their actors.
