(Fairy Tail) If you could choose one of the couples you like the most and the least, what would it be and why?
Hi! Thanks for taking the time to send an ask!
There are a lot of ships that I’m particularly fond of, but I can’t think of a ship I like more that Gratsu/Natray. They’re adorable, have history, and I’m a sucker for the rivals to lovers trope. It’s a serious problem. I feel that even though they fight with one another, they’re bond is so close that ever punch is a sentence and every kick an emotion to go with it. They speak a language that only they’re fluent in, and even though it confuses the hell out of everyone else, it’s them. It’s how they work, and no one understands that better than each other.
As for a ship that I dislike, I have to say Gruvia. I’ve had a stalker before, and even though it wasn’t quite on that level, it’s not what it’s portrayed to be by this ship. it’s not love. It’s a creepy obsession that makes you feel uncomfortable in places you shouldn’t. It’s very toxic, and I feel that if Gray ever did return Juvia’s feelings, it would be because of the serious psychological damage she’s caused him. (Stockholm Syndrome)
I understand that people are always going to ship what they want, but I just can’t do it.

For your send characters thing, I pick Fairy Tail
Character I first fell in love with: Erza Scarlet. Easily.
Character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Not that many given that I got kinda done with Fairy Tail… but I did end up liking Juvia a lot more after a while. Also Gray has grown a lot more onto me despite that I thought he was the weakest of the main four
Character everyone loves but I don’t: Jellal. Everyone dropped everything and forgave him at the spot despite that he wanted to apparently kill the one he loved for his god… yeah, I’m not letting that go. Also Zeref because he is one of the lamest main villains ever.
Character I love but everyone else hates: I would say Erza here as well due to everyone calling her a Mary Sue but characterwise… I dunno. I think all the character are ok for the large part.
Character I used to love but don’t any longer: Jellal as a villain was MUCH better and honestly didn’t need a redemption arc. Along with that I kinda dislike Mirajane for being too mallow.
Character I would kiss: Erza, Lucy, Juvia and Cana. They are all amazing. On the man’s side I probably take Natsu, Leo, Gray and maybe Gajeel. Because Gajeel is good.
Character I want to slap: Mavis for still loving Zeref after he attempted to suck her dry of her magic and let her be tortured for it… Zeref as well for doing that and claiming he still loved her.
A pairing I love: Gruvia is the only one that feels kind of good because it was more or less stable and really worked well in favor for Juvia’s redemption arc. As well that it’s kind of cute.
A pairing I hate: Nearly every other ship but more Jerza and Zervis especially. Jerza is just toxic with a guy that first nearly killed her and then gets away with it because he didn’t mean it and was brainwashed (which he wasn’t) and Zervis I already listed because that is so toxic and has no redeeming value. They don’t even work on it, it’s just rushed and out of place and gives Zeref a half assed redemption AFTER HE TRIED TO MURDER EVERYONE

The jealous j*v*a gag was never funny but girl really got jealous over a CAT and Gray dancing for fun with his child teammate. Do people really find this endearing? funny? She makes every interaction Gray has into something gross. Don't get me wrong it isn't funny when she does it with Lucy either (this is an extremely toxic relationship and I don't like to see it portrayed as cute or funny), but her acting like he's into Frosch or Wendy disgusts me (idk if it makes sense haha)

Oh, you make perfect sense to me, Anon, and you make such a good, damning point against juvia.
I love how you phrase it because it's just so accurate:
"she makes every interaction Gray has into something gross".
The fact that in juvia's mind, Gray could be a p*dophile or someone who practices b*stiality, is just beyond disturbing, for multiple reasons.
A, if she really thinks Gray is capable of those things, and still "loves" him, then what does that make her? Someone who supports those things too. Jail. Jail right now.
B, despite thinking those things about Gray, there's no acknowledgement from juvia that that's so very wrong, there's just, as you say, jealousy. Instead of putrid disgust, juvia feels jealous over a child and a cat. That's revolting, immoral, and just downright pathetic.
C, it just shows how juvia does not know Gray at all, what his values are, whom he loves, what kind of a person he is. And nor does she care. And yet this is the woman we're supposed to want to be with him. Right. That checks out.
D, what's more, Gray can do no wrong in her eyes (clearly), so if Gray likes Wendy or Frosch, guess what, it's not Gray who's the problem here- it's the child and the animal. They're her love rivals, they're whom she must conquer in a battle of love. The two who would be victims to Gray if this deluded insanity juvia believed about him was true are the very ones juvia points her gnarled finger at and declares war on. (Hypothetical) Victim-blaming/abuse at its finest.
You're right, Anon, that this jealous gag isn't funny even when inflicted on women of Gray's age and species. It's just uncomfortable, cringe, toxic, malicious, and sad. But it's infinitely more despicable when juvia's delusions and fantasies paint such a horrid picture of Gray and those around him, where his morals are misrepresented, his reputation tarnished, where such evil, perverse things are presented as if we're supposed to laugh at it.
This point doesn't get talked about enough (by myself included), but it truly is one of the most damning pieces of evidence of why juvia is a loathsome, detestable human being, and why she should never be with Gray.
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with me, Anon! This is truly a very important point to be made, and I am very grateful to you that this could be addressed very carefully on my blog.

The recent tweet of Juvia and Happy, complaint.
Juvia looks amazing, pretty, beautiful. I love seeing her having fun. but Happy dressed up with Gray's mask, isn't really funny. It's really unoriginal in a way we see that stuff a lot. I didn't like that. I mean it's interesting to see Juvia and Happy placed in this context as it's rare but it's not something I enjoyed with this pic. Maybe I would've liked it if it was just Juvia or a blue colored dog(without Gray's mask) I thought we deserved an actual Gruvia pic considering it's Gruvia day, not that crap we saw. It was very underwhelming. I didn't consider it to be a Gruvia picture whatsoever since Gray wasn't there. So, I didn't really like this pic overall. Mashima was on crack once again though, so I'm not really upset lol, because this is his shtick, but just didn't like it this time. I mean I enjoyed the Ichiya x Makarov fad, but not this time. but plus points for a smiling Juvia being there. I wanted to see the Gruvia version of the Nalu pics that Mashima tweeted, so I hope it's done more in fanarts, since it's unlikely we'll see that from Mashima. Cheers.

i dont have ones i hate the most more of just ones i collectively hate, like anime that shove in pe.dophilia & make up excuses (ex. a little girl thats “actually like 800 years old so its ok”)
3. do you read the manga that goes along with the anime you watch ?
not always. i decided to pick up ft bc i was impatient for more dubbed eps, and i heard there was lots of good stuff fma;b left out... normally what i do is finish the anime & start reading where ever the anime left off the manga. ive read agk, muratas opm, ones opm, fma, ft (still keeping up), i think theres more but i cant remember
4. most favorite genre?
i tend to like fantasy type stuff more bc i like the unique concepts writers make for their stories

anything with tentacles

UUHHHH ok i love ling yao, greed the avaricious, genos, gajeel redfox, rogue cheney, ryuji surguro, bulat....think thats most of my top faves?
