I really don’t understand some fans when they say that Blitz and Moxxie have an “interesting” dynamic and work off each other well. They portray Blitz as this “lovable goofball” who wants what’s best for his employees but is childish and crass, meanwhile Moxxie is the kind straight man and they’re a “foil to each other”, but….not really???
Their dynamic WOULD be interesting if Blitz was rewritten, perhaps as some kind of inexperienced boss who has no idea how to run a company or knew what he was doing, OR maybe someone similar to Mr. Krabs, a cheapskate who always gets the gang into trouble in wild ways and who’s methods are too over the top, someone just completely unhinged, had they kept the whole “I want to prove Imps are just as capable of doing anything like other demons”- for his motivation. He could be this crazy boss who while is mad, is actually VERY smart than people lead on, kinda like Lupin the Third vibes if you’ve seen that anime, just a guy who can be in over his head at times and nosedives first into situations, but also someone who isn’t 100% dumb and is actually very skilled and resourceful. Meanwhile keep Moxxie the same, just get rid of the punching bag scenario. Moxxie WOULD serve as a good foil dynamic for Blitz, because he is more stern, serious, and sophisticated, he’s the straight man who thinks Blitz’s ideas are absolutely insane and that constantly criticizes him, because the other is so unhinged and delusional compared to him. THEN they really would have been a fun dynamic, but that’s not the case for the show.
Blitz’s instead is just this asshole, his entire dynamic with Moxxie is just that he verbally abuses him and beats him down EVERY chance he gets, and it’s for no reason other than the writers are trying way too hard to be shockingly edgy and funny. I get that Moxxie is the straight man, but they give Blitz NO fucking reason to treat Moxxie the way he does, especially the sexual harassment and the creepy part about how much he wants to lay him and his wife. Also….Blitz as a character doesn’t even seem like he cares about his business at all? Like in the pilot it actually seemed like his passion project, but in the show he acts like it’s such a chore, complaining about clients constantly and always having this grumpy attitude towards it, he only seems to be in it for the money and I really don’t know why the show scrapped the idea of him doing this in the first place to prove Imps are worthy, in my opinion it would have been better and made more sense, but it doesn’t help as a vision since the show clearly doesn’t care about the “BOSS” aspect of the show anymore, aka the original fucking premise since the IMP business is now a background thing.
But anyway, yeah I don’t buy Blitz and Moxxie as a team, it’s honestly such a toxic “friendship” because Blitz barley shows companionship for his employees outside of thirsting over them or just being a dick to them. I’m still not over the “I treat you like shit to toughen you up” schtick, literally fuck off Vivzie.

IF YOU HATE HELLUVA BOSS, HAZBIN HOTEL, AND/OR STOLITZ, DO. NOT. INTERACT. (WITH THIS POST OR MY PAGE)
Okay, I am currently rewatching Helluva Boss, and I just finished S1 Ep7: OZZIE'S, and... How do some people genuinely believe Stolitz is one-sided?
From what I've seen, Blitzø absolutely returns Stolas' feelings, even if he refuses to acknowledge/accept that he does. A lot of people, from what I've seen, have been using Blitzø' words to Stolas in OZZIE'S and his words about Stolas to Fizzarolli in OOPS as arguments for why Blitzø "clearly" doesn't love Stolas back, but my question is, do some of y'all not have basic media literacy?
Sorry if that’s rude, but seriously. There are plenty of clues to how Blitzø is actually feeling during and after these scenes.
1. Blitzø was literally holding back TEARS as he said that in the van scene.
2. He says that Stolas has made it very clear that all it is is Stolas wanting to be fucked. That wording is very distinct and, honestly, says that Blitzø does NOT want it to just be a Fuck Buddies things.
2.5. May I remind everyone that Stolas literally calls Blitzø his "Impish little plaything" in Truth Seekers? And that that likely just confirmed the insecurities we know he was already feeling? (We know he was feeling insecure about his and Stolas' relationship already because of how he reacted in S1 Ep5 to Striker goading him)
3. Literally ALL of what happens after the van scene. Including all of Episode 8. He goes home and cries himself to sleep, and then goes and self-destructs at a party. Bee said it herself that he wasn't drinking to have fun.
4. In S2 Ep6: OOPS, His face when he said it was nothing more than Stolas being horny gives away how hurt he actually is. He is desperately trying to convince Fizz and remind himself that Stolas doesn't want anything more.
Honorary mention that I'm not sure is really a fifth point is him calling Fizz and Ozzie hypocrites.
Moving on from those scenes and onto Blitzø's insecurities about love and his self-worth issues. Blitzø does not believe he deserves love. He does not believe anyone does or can love him. We can see this in how he acts with the people in his life. He pushes them away. He is obsessed with M&M's relationship because they're the only model of a healthy relationship he's ever had, and he wants that with someone. We also can tell because of how he reacts to what Fizz and Verosika say in OZZIE'S.
Blitzø hates himself. He crosses out his face in the pictures hung up in his apartment. He blames himself for an accident that caused his mother's death, his best friend to lose his limbs, and his sister to hate him.
No one was truly there for him after the accident. Fizz may have been crippled, but he had a support system. Blitzø did not, and no one was there to tell him it wasn't his fault.
Not to mention the fact that up until the accident, he was CONSTANTLY being put down and told Fizzarolli was better than him. Even his own father cared more for Fizz than him. Honestly, I'm surprised there isn't any actual animosity towards Fizz on Blitzø's part.
Speaking of the fire and Fizz, Blitzø was planning to confess romantic feelings to Fizz that night before the accident (We know this because of the letter and flower he was holding before the fire started). That likely made it difficult for him to confess his love to someone because if you think his brain wouldn't connect love confessions to the greatest trauma of his life, you're dead wrong.
Brains make weird ass connections when it comes to trauma/traumatic events.
In conclusion, Blitzø loves Stolas, Stolas loves Blitzø, and they both need to heal and get their shit together. Stolitz forever.
Kloveyoubye ❤️

Oh god don't get me started on how passive blitz' """representation""" of drag alongside moxxie are literally just used for eye candy/gags and not actual reasoning for the characters to genuinely try to show some gender expressionism!
"Oh but moxxie dressed up four different times surely that mea-"
He was the butt of the joke in all instances fuck off with that.
Forced into drag as a disguise twice [thrice?]
Forced into a wedding dress AGAINST HIS WILL MIND YOU
Hallucination not actually the real moxxie a projection of Blitz' harboring feelings projecting moxxie to be drag- vs how he actually performs """drag"""
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Spot the differences! No offense to bugs bunny of course at least he has substance and purpose to his drags for LOONEY purposes! He's saying the joke to always move the cartoon plot forward at least!
Blitz has only openly dressed in drag once and the fans applauded viv like it was a big deal. [Even though I personally believe Brandon is homophobic accidentally :/]
Even in merchandising moxxie seems uncomfortable to even perform outside of his gender role....???
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I get the anxiousness is the appeal of the character but really put it into perspective why the valentines merch is like this !!!!!
I AM CRITICIZING A SHOW THAT I USED TO THINK WAS QUEER POSITIVE. I AM A QUEER YES.

Seeing the trailer for pt2 of season 2 for HB and all the anti blitzø discourse makes me believe that ppl really have no common sense. If you think stoliz is healthy you need to learn to recognize abuse and unhealthy power dynamics.
Stolas is not the victim in this dynamic just because he’s delusional enough to convince himself he’s in love.

Helluva Broken Narrative and the most useless character..
Disclaimer: Not saying you can't enjoy this show folks. Enjoy it all you want, this is just a rant about the lack of a cohesive narrative!
I really was completely dead on posting, but I just can't get this out of my head.
I feel people should be acknowledging this far more than it has been, this is extremely important. This goes beyond just episode pacing, this goes beyond the characters....this is something that without it? There is no real show, which is....
Helluva Boss has a BROKEN NARRATIVE.
Some fans wanna claim it has this 'complex' writing and I'm sitting here going like "really? Where?"
It doesn't sorry and know why? Because Season 2 of this show, basically broke the narrative that Season 1 was building.
These past posts of mine, will show you why the narrative is broken.
Now can they continue on with the story they are telling? Yes of course they can, but it won't fix the fact that it's not coherent to Season 1, that it's not needed.
Wanna know who the most useless character in the show is now? If you guessed Stolas, you're correct! In the meaning of making Stolas this guy who did nothing wrong and who's sad....they took away his character purpose.
Stolas has ZERO purpose being within the show now, given how things have played out.
But you might say
"Well he's needed to give Blitz the Crystal and end the deal!"
Except....no, he wasn't. They could have just delivered the crystal to I.M.P. They have Blitz’ number, just call him, get a servant to send it etc.
Remembering my posts above, where you can have I.M.P. killing in Hell as a Season 1 thing?
Maybe they're just getting started with their company? So Blitz wants to supplement with killing in Hell by killing those up top so he goes to see about getting an Asmodean Crystal?
See let's backtrack here folks, the episode Oops it was mainly about Blitz and Fizz reconciling right? Which they do at the end of the episode. Now follow this, if we take into account the above, Blitz' dialogue could be.
Blitz: "Fizz look, I know what happened to you was horrible. I don't...expect you to forgive me, but I'm struggling to support myself, my daughter and my employees with my company. I....if you can just think on it, perhaps I could get one of those Asmodean Crystals?"
The scene ends and Fizz goes back to Ozzie, while along the way he's thinking about Blitz' words and how he was saved by him where in the end, Fizz agrees to send Blitz a Crystal because he's earned it from saving his very life.
Or here's another scenario, Blitz has a Crystal from the start(which he took from Verosika when they were dating), but as things get far more hectic up on Earth with more dangers. The Crystal ends up shattering after I.M.P. gets back to Hell after a job, thus Blitz goes to actually confront his past and reconcile with Fizz in order to try and get a new one.
See how easy it is now, to just remove Stolas entirely? They took away a character's purpose of being in the show....that to me, is completely disappointing. Characters, especially those that are suppose to be IMPORTANT, should have a purpose...without that? You may as well just delete them entirely.
Blitz could have had 2 whole Seasons with relating to the past and those that he hurt, that he TRULY hurt(Verosika, Fizz and Barbie) that would actually matter to him as a character. But instead, all these characters are instead shoved to the wayside, for a character who doesn't matter anymore and only actually matters because the writing is FORCING him to matter.
You can write the narrative in so many different ways with what Season 2 gives us, that completely destroys what Season 1 told us. Are we now expected to just....IGNORE AN ENTIRE SEASON?
Even still you DON’T EVEN NEED a Crystal considering I.M.P. was killing in Hell before. Which isn’t HB supposed to expand upon Hell anyway, because Hazbin was taking place in one location? Wasn’t that one of the reasons why it was made? So you make a show that's suppose to explore Hell, yet some of the episodes...don't even take place within Hell?
They can do this whole "sad Stolas is sad and Blitz is hurt and Stolas is going to give him a crystal." Thing all the way to 'try' and fix things, but it'll fix nothing....because the deal between them was retroactively made completely pointless.
The show will continue obviously, but in the back of the minds....it will be a broken narrative and Season 1 is basically buried 6 feet under. As a writer, this really annoys me....because they had how long between Seasons to nail this down? How long have we all waited just in-between episodes? This shouldn't have happened.
Yes, is storytelling hard? Obviously, none of my stories are perfect....but at least the narrative is coherent from beginning to end.
Anyway...I just...had to get this out of my head, because it was really frustrating and I want it to be acknowledged more. The narrative is important folks, if it's broken...that's not a good thing.
I'm still watching this show....if only because I'm knee deep in it now and I still somewhat actually like the characters, but what I don't like...is this broken narrative that is still hanging around with a pointless character that doesn't matter to the show anymore.
Narratives, coherent narratives are important to a story, without it? You don't have characters and you don't have a story.
^ For Part 2.
^ For part 3.

My suggestion for how to fix the Stolas Problem
Don't know what the Stolas Problem is? Don't worry! I'll explain it to you. The Stolas Problem is an issue that the Helluva Boss show is having in which the entire premise of the show has basically been scraped to instead focus on a character that was supposed to be a love interest only. The end of the first season and beginning of the second also majorly ret-conned him so that he is no longer a sympathetic or fun character. It transformed him from someone that was horny all the time and rather bad, but typical for what a demon in Hell should have been, to a sadistic delusion narcissitic jerk that coerced a lower being into having sex with him or else Blitz's only friends and daughter would be out on the street. It went from them using each other to Stolas coercing and raping Blitz in what's called a quid pro quo relationship. So that being said, let's get going!
Instead of having him be sad that he's not loved by Blitz, have him be oddly excited about the date and trying to figure out why his feelings are so weird, maybe through the song Stella yells at him for.
Get rid of The Circus entirely, it's unnecessary and makes the quid pro quo rape really uncomfortable because Stolas thinks they're basically dating instead of just using him back.
Get rid of Seeing Stars. We already had a "Stolas trying to love his daughter the way she needs" episode and this is just making him look far worse. If you want to show more Stolas then have him out with Via when Blitz is calling him for help with the DHORKS or something.
Make Stella an actual person and show her in the background with Via. If you want her to be abusive, make sure that none of her actions mimic Loona or Stolas or any of the other characters that are seen in the show like they currently do.
Put Western Energy at the end of S2 and put more episodes specifically just about IMP. Maybe develop Millie more as a character, have the episode where Blitz tells Loona that she needs to be nicer be a full thing where he has to try and hire other secretaries but finds that she's the only one that works for them. The show is about Blitz, the protagonist, not about Stolas the love interest.
The "He can get hurt?" is the perfect thing to perk up Blitz's love for Stolas so it should definitely be at the end.
Show more of them liking each other after the awkwardness of their first 'date' at Ozzie's. Show them cuddling in bed or laughing about something or deciding that they don't want to have sex after trying awkwardly for an episode and so they just sit and eat ice cream while bonding over a shared interest. Right now the only thing drawing these two together is the narrative.
I also think making him a serial cheater would explain the fetishization of Blitz' demonic race, by having previous partners enjoy being degraded and talk to that way. It could end up with them having a fight and that's how Stolas confesses by saying he wants to learn Blitz more than he did them because he loves him.
Have Blitz still get back with Fizz as friends but explore more of their romantic feelings to show what Blitz thinks a relationship should be except it's not what all relationships had to be because they had puppy love and not grown adult with kids love.
If you have any ideas of other things that might help make their relationship more believable or make more sense, feel free to add to this last!

My thoughts on the "Just Look My Way" music video...
I hate it. It's a Stolitz song that victimizes Stolas and demonizes Blitz for leaving him, again. Oh boo hoo poor UwU Stolas he just wants Blitz to know that he loves him, please feel bad for this poor owl boy 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺.
Ya no Stolas is an uninteresting POS sorry not sorry. The animation and music are nice though...aside from that ya sorry don't like it lol.

You know I have the very strong feeling that unlike Bojack, everyone who got hurt by coming into contact with Blitz who used to care about him will just eventually forgive him in the end. We all know Viv can’t for the life of her call out her characters she favors and paint them in any sort of negative light, so I wouldn’t be surprised if characters like Fizz, Barbie, and even Verosika end up either forgiving or being on good terms with Blitz instead of shutting him out of their lives. We’ve seen what’s happened with Stolas and how Viv wants to paint him as an innocent uwu baby who wouldn’t be like this if the evil people around him didn’t exist, she doesn’t like to actually say it’s these characters faults for being the way they are and would rather blame their dads or abusers. Also we’re supposed to LIKE Blitz, so having characters break ties with him would make him look bad and we can’t have that! Blitz is good deep down and cares about Fizz, his sister, and Verosika so he DESERVES to win in the end no matter how many times we show him being a jackass and have characters call him out on his shitty behavior! 🥺
Like….no matter how many times the show will call Blitz out, I know damn well it won’t go anywhere. Blitz and Fizz USED to be friends, they’ll be friends again. Blitz feels bad about how he treated his sister, they’ll make amends somehow. And I have no idea what they’re going to do with Verosika. The show wants to paint her as an unlikable bitch so you can side with Blitz but then turn around and say she was genuinely heartbroken by him. She seems more like a tool to show the audience Blitz “cares” and has substance rather than a two sided character. This is why I have no desire to watch the rest of Helluva because I know the show will always side with our main characters instead of portraying them as flawed people who fuck up and can actually change.

Striker x Blitz 🐍🐎
Tumblr media
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They are both down soooo bad! They are pretty much canon to me. At least one sided canon. They are literally perfect for each other. Blitz loves horses, Striker has a horse. They are equal in strength so they are both verse.
Striker never tried to bring Blitz down, or show any signs of jealousy toward Blitz being as strong as him.
Blitz invited him to join IMP meaning he wanted Striker to join his family.
Blitz said to Moxxie, "It's gonna be great working with him". Implying Striker said yes!
Also, this scene:
Tumblr media
Striker is painted as a villain for wanting to kill overlords. But Blitz is also an assassin, and used to kill demons too! Is a royals life more valuable than other demons and humans?
Striker just went about it all wrong. Instead of killing Moxxie, which would ruin EVERYTHING, he should've just told Blitz that he's an assassin too, and has a hit for Stolas. Blitz even said the reason he was disappointed was because he did it behind his back. Despite knowing Stolas as a child, Blitz DID try to kill him the first chance he got.( In "The Circus" he tries to snap his neck)
So, no Creepy Bird Mouth, no problem!

Oh look, the show is addressing the weird implications of Stolitz power dynamic, neat.

And Blitzø is the one addressing them, neater.

Do you agree that helluva boss is a male obsessed show?
Oh my goodness I was literally writing an essay on this that I may or may not post to YouTube at some point in life!! Anyway, buckle your seatbelt because this will be long.
So I wouldn't call it male obsessed, more that it has a very obvious favoritism to certain characters. Mainly who I call the Big Four (Blitz, Stolas, Moxxie, and Fizz).
Because of this favoritism, our women characters (mostly Millie but sometimes Loona) get less of a spotlight than they should. This has been a problem since season 1 and I will not pretend that it's not.
HOWEVER, even though it's mostly women who suffer this problem, the show also has this problems with the men outside the Big Four. Read: Ozzie and Striker.
NOW BEFORE THE FIZZAROZZIE FANS COME AT ME, hear me out. Ozzie suffers the exact same problem Millie does as while Fizz gets the spotlight, Ozzie is often reduced to his loving supportive partner. Which isn't inherently a bad thing, but like Millie we know very little of what Ozzie is like outside of being Fizz's partner. Like Millie, he's the more well adjusted half, he's a badass, he's powerful. But we don't know anything else about him. Like Millie, everything we know about Ozzie so far correlates back to Fizz. Even him being talented in robotics translates back to Fizz.
And like I have in my essay, yes he and Fizz have only been in three episodes. But at the same time, there has also only been around three Moxxie centric episodes, and the rest of the time he and Millie are off being wholesome with neither getting character development.
Striker also suffers this issue as despite the fact that he's also been in three episodes, we can still safely say we know almost nothing about him. He's implied to have a tragic backstory and has major hypocrisy issues, but that's kind of it. Which isn't bad for his first two appearances, but for him to be in three episodes and we only know a tiny bit more about him now as we did in his first appearance is a bit of an issue.
I'm not saying that Striker and Ozzie need a character centric episode (although Millie DEFINITELY does), but like a lot of the women in Helluva they need to be able to stand up as their own characters rather than the story's plot device.
So to say that Helluva Boss ONLY has this problem with women is a bit unfair. Don't get me wrong, the women definitely suffer this problem the most and Helluva REALLY needs to fix this. However, it does need to be noted that ANY character outside the Big Four have this issue, not JUST women.
That's why I say I don't think it's "male obsessed", more that it's "Big Four Obsessed," because every character, including other men, suffer a severe underdevelopment in favor for those four.
Now to end it on a positive note, what Helluva does with these four, it does REALLY well. But there's so much focus on them that other characters are often reduced to plot devices that either keep the Big Four from being cold, emotionless people (Ozzie, Millie, Via, and Loona), or are the bad guys for them to defeat (Striker, Stella, and MAYBE Crimson). (I only include Crim because Vivziepop has implied that Crim genuinely thinks he's a good dad.)
