I'm sorry, but I just love this little moment between Loona and Blitzo.
It's just that moments like these are sadly few and far between in this show, and I do hope we get more scenes where Loona doesn't act cold towards Blitzo.
Love the banter here, but I need to know who did it. Who hurt Striker! Why does he have such rage against the Royals! WHO HURT HIM! WHO TOOK WHAT HE CARED ABOUT AWAY!
Someone said on the twits bird realm that in the hospital scene, there was a flower losing petals and they were thinking it supposed to be a “loves me, loves me not,” thing, so I played along and…
A detail I haven’t really seen brought up/mentioned from the new episode:
When Stolas opens the message app it doesn’t start where the new message is like it usually does (at least in our world). He has to scroll a bit before we see the new message. That’s obvious, but why is it like that? What reason is there for the messages to open there aside from extra context for the audience? My theory:
Stolas was rereading old messages between him and Blitzø.
Absolutely hysterical to me that Striker can afford a whole statue of himself with a you know what but he cannot upgrade past a flip phone, and then he proceeds to do this-
Trust me - if you've been in a relationship like this before you know how much this hurts, especially when you put up with it for so long. This was painful to watch. It seems like after Ozzie's both demons had their respective breakdowns and just decided business as usual, Stolas clinging to whatever they had left, Blitz trying to keep the deal going (poorly, of course). I foresee a major shift with Stolas causing a rift between the two. Once that rift occurs, I can see the Asmodean Crystals making their appearance so Stolas can fully separate himself from Blitz. I do guess this fully addressed my concerns in Seeing Stars, albeit in a very late way, but better now than never.
After Blitzo gets everything settled with Loona's appointment, he's promptly trampled by the media and paparazzi, only catching a brief glimpse of Stolas as he's rushed into the hospital due to his injuries. He's obviously frustrated and confused as to what's going on, but when Moxxie and Millie explain what happened, he comes to a horrified realization at just how much danger Stolas was truly in.
Of course, Blitzo could not comprehend the idea of Stolas getting actually hurt until now. The latter shrugged off anything that didn't involve holiness, including a full-on nack snap. This mindset was compounded by his father drilling in him about how big and tough they were and the fact that holy weapons are supposed to be illegal and rare. This also explains his disregard for Stolas' welfare in previous episodes, thinking that he can shrug off anything with his power and wealth.
As for saving his life back in "Harvest Moon Festival" and knowing that Stolas is going to get killed, but remember that Blitzo only knew about the blessed sniper rifle that was taken by Moxxie, so he chalked it as an exception. He has no idea about the other holy weapons Striker has. When he was saying the statement, "He can get hurt?", he was just realizing that this time, Striker had more holy weapons on him and Stolas was in real mortal danger.
Blitzo not showing up to visit Stolas in the hospital becomes a lot more understandable considering "Unhappy Campers" and "Oops". Blitzo is shown to be repeatedly barred from visiting those he cares for when they’re struggling and dealing with major injuries, he was told by the rehab staff not to come near Barbie and actively kept away from Fizzarolli by unknown individuals. The other sad side of it is that he simply couldn’t believe that Stolas would care enough about him to want to have him visit for anything else than sex. 💔📱
