Prompt 47 with Marie Laveau👁️???
Hey! I'm back!
Let's begin with the prompts, shall we?
I love Marie, so I hope you like it, anon!
STAN ANGELA BASSETT!
Requests are open and you can see the prompt list here!
Enjoy!
(Notice how all my plot problems have to do with Hank… so much so that he's not even in the requests options ;))
-------------------------------------
47. "you're so jealous." | marie laveau x reader
Tumblr media
You were on the fence about Marie and Hank's relationship. Of course, he was a witch hunter and you knew his missions also involved hunting down voodoo practitioners like her. But that wasn't all that made you hate the man.
It could have been all in your head, but the way he looked at her... And how she seemed to respond, always trying to seduce him like a vampire seduces a victim...
Not that you meant to sound possessive, but it was unavoidable.
When you saw him appear, and Marie whispered in your ear to wait in the hall, so as not to make a bad impression, your brain was already on alert. They spent hours locked in that room and the intrusive thoughts filled your mind with paranoia.
But you didn't have the heart to confront your girlfriend about it. Until then.
"We're going to need your hair cut soon, honey," she told you on one of the days when the salon didn't seem crowded. Marie always made time to be with you as soon as she saw you, you were kind of the exception to all the problems she had, and when no clients showed up, then that was even better. "Make sure you don't book somewhere else, or I'll get upset, hm?"
You smiled and were about to kiss her teasingly when the hunter's figure appeared through the window and sent your brain into predator mode. Noticing your hesitation, Marie looked out the window in the same direction and a crooked smile appeared on her lips.
"Don't worry, (Y\N), I'll send him away soon," she promised, pulling away from you and opening the door for him. Hank was frowning and you seemed to scowl back when you saw the two of them whisper.
And then, they went to Marie's room, hidden between four walls.
You resisted the urge to huff and tried to distract yourself with some of her magazines while you waited, but their secrets wouldn't leave your mind. Nor the jealousy.
***
They took longer than the last time to get back, and when Marie left, she had the same smirk on her face, looking at Hank. He glanced at your face and simply slammed the door, looking disappointed, fire shooting from his mouth.
"Would you like to help me close up the salon, (Y\N)?", Marie asked, as she was already fixing the windows. You got up in silence and avoided looking at her in every possible way, afraid that you might end up giving the wrong idea. When you were finally closed off again, you left for her quarters first, not expecting her to follow you.
The rest of the afternoon and early evening was silent, you didn't say anything about Hank or the customers like you usually did, and Marie was dying of curiosity and wanting to tease you about what was causing your bad mood.
She left the dishes with you and went to tidy up some things scattered around the room, still hoping that you would join her. Taking a relaxing shower, you went to the suite and sat on the bed, with your girlfriend looking you up and down.
"You're so jealous, it's cute", she whispered, holding you from behind, by the shoulders, and whispering in your ear. "Don't worry, (Y\N), he's not my type. He is an idiot. He's not even good for a sex toy."
You looked at her and shook your head. "I'm not jealous."
"Oh no?" Marie raised an eyebrow. "Then why are you avoiding me? Why are you answering me with half words? Are you sure it's not really jealousy?"
"No, Marie."
"Well, I say it is," she interrupted, and practically threw herself on top of you, kissing your lips with an inexplicable desire. She kept you pinned to the bed until you lost your breath, and when she pulled away, her smile was still mischievous. "It's jealousy, yes, look at the way you kissed me… It almost looked like you wanted to guarantee possession."
You rolled your eyes.
"Oh, don't roll your eyes at me, sweetie, you know the rules…", she bit her lip. "Don't worry, (Y\N), you're the only one I love and I'll always be yours, nobody else's. I promise."
You looked at her. "Stop, it's not jealousy."
"Awn, you have an adorable pout on your lips…", she said, taking your face by the chin and giving you a peck. "Stop being silly, (Y\N), want me to prove to you that you don't need to have that kind of reaction, hm?"
Before you could say anything, Marie kept kissing you, gaining your attention and your full desire, just as she had wanted before. You two engaged in an intense and revealing night of love, just like all the others.
At the very least, you were sure that voracity and that irresistible body someone like Hank would never be able to call his own.

The New Panther
Some people have been asking who the new Panther is at the end of the trailer. Part of me is like, "Girl, that's the point of the movie. You go to find out. Why do you want to spoil it?"
But I have also seen some sites kind of suggest that it's Erik Killmonger back from the dead. And I feel the need to point out: Yes, there is gold detail in the new suit, but No, we don't have any reason to think Michael B. Jordan is back. If he is, Marvel is keeping it locked down.
I understand that a lot of people don't want it to be Letitia Wright because she has been problematic of late. But that Shuri is still the most likely candidate. Wright is now top billed in the credits, ahead of Lupita Nyong'o, which is notable. So we know she has a significant role and is the new "lead" of the film, even if she is not the Panther. We could get a situation where she becomes queen but has someone else as the Panther, like how T'Chaka had T'Challa take over as the Panther when he was older. (Or possibly Ramonda will remain queen until Shuri is older, but Shuri will be the Black Panther? There's lots of possible combos.)
Some people have made a case for it being Nakia, which is possible. Lupita is a bigger star than Wright and Disney may not want to gamble the franchise on someone less experienced. But Nakia in the comics has never been the Black Panther as Shuri has (of course the Nakia of the comics bears little resemblance to the Nakia of the films). Again, it could be a combo with Shuri as Queen and Nakia serving as her Black Panther.
Other people have said M'Baku, since he has been the ruler of Wakanda in the comics. (I would point out that is different than being the Panther. Since, his tribe is the Jabari/Gorilla tribe.) I, personally, don't think that silhouette--even though it is difficult to see much on purpose--is Winston Duke. He's pretty recognizable.
Finally I'd just like to put it out there to Marvel, if they are listening, that I wouldn't mind seeing Angela Bassett as Black Panther. I think she could beat anyone up.

what are your thoughts on the oscar noms this year? who do you think will win and who do you think SHOULD win (often very different lol), esp for acting and best picture?
I feel like I don't have any intense rooting interest this year tbh EEAAO was for sure my favorite movie of the year but i won't be like, heartbroken if it loses best picture. Think Spielberg or Daniels for best director. Best Actor I think it's Colin Farrell's year but I think an Austin Butler dub would be incredibly funny. Jeremy Pope should be here!! Still mad about best lead actress and how I can name at least 3 performances passed over for Norma Jeanus and the funky fetus....it's a dead heat between Michelle Yeoh and Cate Blanchett but I want Michelle to win because I don't like Cate lol. Best supporting actor I think Ke Huy Quan's got it which is fine but it would also warm my cold miserable heart if Barry Keoghan wins too. Angela Bassett i think is a lock for best supporting actress. fine whatever it was an aggressively mid year for supporting actresses I guess. Jesse Buckley should be here! I don't think it has a chance but i hope my king Kazuo Ishiguro wins best adapted screenplay. What even is this category. since when are sequels adapted screenplays. Original score needs to go to AIQOTWF because that score goes sooooooo hard. Best documentary I'm rooting for everyone except Navalny because that guy is mad racist. And I still need to see all the shorts!

Ahhhhh!!! Movies!!!! okay I completely agree with your takes. Like all of them lol
I’d prefer Brendan Fraser for The Whale, but Colin Farrell for Banshees is also really great. That’s about where my best wishes for Banshees end.
I…did not enjoy Banshees lol. I understand everything behind it, I get the allegories that McDonagh was going for. But god it was so slow and boring and I really just didn’t enjoy it because it all felt pointless. (My hot take is that it should’ve been a play, that might’ve fixed a lot of my visual problems with it) But I loved the performances so much. Kerry Condon for Banshees would be a nice best supporting actress win, but I do love Jamie Lee Curtis for EEAAO. Angela Bassett will probably pull out the win though.
I did see TAR and honestly…I fucking loved it lol (it’s my secret hope for best picture) but Michelle Yeoh is the only choice for best actress. She’s so incredible and honestly she may not get many more opportunities like this — and she SHOULD get every fucking opportunity ever, especially after this. Cate Blanchett will probably get the win but I really really hope Yeoh pulls it out.
I also think that Everything Everywhere should get Best Pic. I hope hope hope Banshees doesn’t get it. Martin McDonagh will probably win best original screenplay, but I definitely hope he doesn’t win best director. Avatar and Top Gun will probably both be nominated and I’m mad about it. Agree that Avatar is the more egregious of the two, I’m okay with TGM being recognized because truly…it did get people more energized about theatres again.
That does being up for me though that Avatar and TGM will probably go head to head in all the technical categories and I gotta say… Avatar does not have these all locked. Cinematography could easily go to Babylon or TGM over Avatar. Sound mixing and editing will probably go to TGM and editing? Wow that’s gonna be tough!! Can’t wait lol
Hoping Sarah Polley gets best adapted screenplay for Women Talking but The Whale might get it instead. Jessie Buckley in Women Talking should DEFINITELY be nominated but it’ll probably be Claire Foy from that movie to be nominated.
My other huge category that I just love nerding out to is Original Score. In my opinion, Babylon has this by a long shot. Decision to Leave actually had a PHENOMENAL score. I think ultimately Babylon will take it.
Decision to Leave SHOULD win for international feature but yeah I agree, don’t know if they’ll win. I think Park Chan-wook will be nominated for best director though!! He’s incredible.
But yeah I’m a huge movie nerd and I don’t fully support the awards thing but gosh I get so caught up in it all, it’s so fascinating!
💕 thanks for nerding out with me!!
putting under a read more bc longg
i would def also accept brendan for the whale. he deserves so much <3 i think part of why i want colin is bc he was also so good in after yang
ahah i totally can see why a lot of people had that reaction to banshee. valid! it did feel a lot like a play, or a fable with doomed characters. and yes! kerry condon was so good. i agree tho, angela bassett will win. i dont think she needs to win for that, but she is incredible so im not mad about it
i WILL see tar. everyone loves it! and cate blanchett is just so damn good in everythinggg
i agree. EEAAO does deserve the best picture title. its really in a category all its own. mcdonagh is always a favorite for screenplay, which i think he deserves over director.
i havent seen women talking yet. i know people are obsessed but i hate the color palette of it and it looks So slow. jesse buckley is great in everything though
damien chazelle’s movie can have best score. thats fine. but i dont think it needs any major categories
i dont remember the DTL score... but isnt going to win best cinematography either which….is unjust. every park chan-wook film has the best cinematography of its year. some of the shots in DTL made me feel Insane. the dead guys eyeball???? the hole at the beach!
thank youuuu for nerding out with me!! my dms are always open to talk movies

final oscar predictions
95th Academy Awards will happen on March 12th, so here are my unnecessarily detailed predictions for winners in the above-the-line categories, in the order of likelihood, based on the precursors, analysis, hopediction, and pure vibes:
Best Original Screenplay
1. Everything Everywhere All at Once
2. Tar
3. The Banshees of Inisherin
4. The Fabelmans
5. Triangle of Sadness
Early in the season many people thought that EEAAO would be too weird and comedic for the relatively conservative Academy voters but by now it’s clear that it was an unnecessary worry and this movie is pretty much universally loved. It’s going to win at minimum 4 awards of the 11 it’s nominated for and might do a full sweep that is rare with oscars nowadays. I’ve heard many voters also really, really liked Tar so i think it’s the second competitor.
Best Adapted Screenplay
1. All Quiet on the Western Front
2. Women Talking
3. Top Gun: Maverick
4. Glass Onion
5. Living
There is apparently a lot of support for Women Talking among the voters but i’m slightly leaning toward AQotWF based mostly just on hunch and also just because of personal bias because i didn’t like Women Talking myself lol.
Best Director
1. Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert (EEAAO)
2. Martin McDonagh (The Banshees of Inisherin)
3. Todd Field (Tar)
4. Steven Spielberg (The Fabelmans)
5. Ruben Ostlund (Triangle of Sadness)
The Daniels won the top prize at the DGA awards which is historically a very strong predictor for the Best Director at Oscars. Everyone else except Ostlund still has a chance though.
Best Actor
1. Austin Butler (Elvis)
2. Brendan Fraser (The Whale)
3. Colin Farrell (The Banshees of Inisherin)
4. Bill Nighy (Living)
5. Paul Mescal (Aftersun)
My two personal favorites, Farrell and Mescal, are unlikely to win because their performances were very subtle and internal and the Academy tends to think “best acting” means “most acting”. The precursors and the Academy’s well-known biopic obsession point toward Butler likely being the winner, but Fraser is beloved and has a great comeback narrative which could help him.
Best Actress
1. Michelle Yeoh (EEAAO)
2. Cate Blanchett (Tar)
3. Andrea Riseborough (To Leslie)
4. Michelle Williams (The Fabelmans)
5. Ana de Armas (Blonde)
This is going to be between Blanchett and Yeoh, whose performances are so above the rest of the competition it’s not even funny. I would say it’s genuinely 50/50 coin toss. I’m putting Yeoh first because i personally want her to win, Blanchett gave arguably one of the best performances of her career but she already has two oscars and will probably get more in the future. Yeoh doesn’t have similar opportunities. I’m just praying there won’t be Riseborough upset...
Best Supporting Actor
1. Ke Huy Quan (EEAAO)
2. Barry Keoghan (The Banshees of Inisherin)
3. Brendan Gleeson (The Banshees of Inisherin)
4. Brian Tyree Henry (Causeway)
5. Judd Hirsch (The Fabelmans)
Quan is practically 100% locked. He’s been absolutely steamrolling it on unprecedented level through the whole award season. If anyone else wins i’ll eat my hat.
Best Supporting Actress
1. Jamie Lee Curtis (EEAAO)
2. Kerry Condon (The Banshees of Inisherin)
3. Angela Bassett (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever)
4. Hong Chau (The Whale)
5. Stephanie Hsu (EEAAO)
The most difficult category to predict. I could see any one of this women winning - except my and many other’s favorite, Hsu. It’s unfortunately clear she’s an afterthought for the Academy voters, if even that. Whether it’s racism or their bias against young and new actors they don’t seem to think much about her performance. I’m leaning towards JLC over Condon and Bassett. She’s a well-established and beloved actress in a beloved movie, she has the narrative, she won the SAG, she’s been campaigning like crazy, and the voters seem to REALLY love her performance. I know it will be absolute shitstorm if she wins. I actually really liked her performance in EEAAO, i think it had a lot of charm and heart, was transformative without prosthetics, and it was also genuinely supporting performance when lots of supporting nominations are nowadays actually co-leads through category fraud. It’s just that i liked Hsu’s performance even more, and the Academy completely ignoring her in favor of JLCn makes it very blatant that they favor white and well-connected actors.
Best Picture
1. Everything Everywhere All at Once
2. The Banshees of Inisherin
3. Top Gun: Maverick
4. Tar
5. All Quiet on the Western Front
6. Elvis
7. Avatar: The Way of the Water
8. The Fabelmans
9. Women Talking
10. Triangle of Sadness
EEAAO has beat all the odds and become the very likely winner after winning DGA, PGA and SAG. The only others i think have a legit chance are Banshees, Top Gun and Tar. The Fabelmans shows up high in many lists but to me it seems clear it doesn’t have much passion. Elvis and Avatar are crowdpleasers but may not appeal to more ‘highbrow’ voters. AQotWF did well at BAFTAs but american voters are not as enthusiastic. EEAAO it is.

It’s Oscar Night tonight!
I was able to catch up a bit on some of the nominated movies, but sadly didn’t get to check them all off the list (which is kind of ok, because I have no desire to see Avatar, Top Gun or Blonde).
Anyway...here’s my personal ranking of the Best Picture nominees, from best to worst (for me personally).
1. Everything Everywhere All at Once
2. Women Talking
3. All Quiet on the Western Front
4. The Fablemens
5. Tar
6. Elvis
7. Banshees of Inisherin
I really wanted to like Banshees, but honestly...I was so bored.  I may like it more if I watch it a second time, but it felt longer than it’s 1 hour 54 minute runtime. While I didn’t particularly like Elvis, the amount of spectacle at least kept me engaged, and I could be impressed by Austin Butler’s singing.
For me, Women Talking is the most underrated movie of the year.  I really wish it had gotten more recognition...particularly in score, director and the acting categories...but it’s pretty much a lock to win Best Adapted Screenplay, and rightly so.
Best Supporting Actor
I think this is the only 100% lock in the acting categories tonight.  While Ke Huy Quan didn’t sweep (thanks BAFTA’s...seriously?), he’s been nominated and winning pretty much everything, so I can’t wait to hear his speech, because he’s probably going to make me cry.
Best Supporting Actress
This is probably the toughest one of the night...I honestly don’t know who is going to win.  *And I love that we have an honest-to-God race in three of these categories*  Angela Bassett won the Globe and Critic’s Choice, Kerry Condon won the BAFTA, and Jamie Lee Curtis won the SAG.  It’s really anyone’s guess at this point.  Angela Bassett is probably the least likely of the three, because she lost the momentum she had at the start of awards season.  Some people think Kerry Condon is going to win because of the BAFTA (it’s apparently a better predictor), but actors really like Jamie Lee Curtis and they do make up a large portion of voters.  What I would love to see happen (it’s not going to, but I’d love it), is for those three to split the votes and the award ends up going to Stephanie Hsu, who I believe gave the Best Supporting Actress performance this year...she’s who I would vote for.  Gold Derby is predicting Kerry Condon, but we’ll see...it’s funny, because if they had campaigned Michelle Williams in Supporting instead of Lead Actress, she’d be winning this year.
Best Actor
This is another tight race!  If you go on Gold Derby, you’ll see that Brendon Fraser is behind Austin Butler by about 70 votes (in terms of who is ranked first or second in likelihood to win) so I feel like it’s too close to call.  Austin Butler won the Golden Globe and the BAFTA, while Brendon Fraser won the Critic’s Choice and the SAG...it’s really anyone’s guess which way it’ll go...I wish I had been able to see The Whale before tonight so I could at least have an opinion on who I’d like to win, based on performance!  I kind of want Brendan Fraser to win...but Austin Butler did give a very strong performance, so it would definitely be a deserved win if he does.
Best Actress
Cate Blancett?  Michelle Yeoh?  Another tight race...though I do think the winds have shifted a bit in Michelle Yeoh’s favor (I HOPE BECAUSE I REALLY WANT HER TO WIN).  Did Cate Blanchett give the best performance of her career?  Probably...and in any other year, I’d want her to win her third Oscar...but Michelle Yeoh’s performance 100% deserves that award.  I am totally here for an EEAAO sweep.
We shall see how the night goes!!!

Friday Releases for November 11
Friday is the busiest day of the week for new releases, so we've decided to collect them all in one place. Friday Releases for November 11 include Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Mythic Quest S3, King’s Disease III, and more.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, the new movie from Ryan Coogler, is out today.
In Marvel Studios’ “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira) and the Dora Milaje (including Florence Kasumba), fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T’Challa’s death. As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with the help of War Dog Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) and forge a new path for the kingdom of Wakanda. Introducing Tenoch Huerta as Namor, king of a hidden undersea nation, the film also stars Dominique Thorne, Michaela Coel, Mabel Cadena and Alex Livanalli.
Spirited
Spirited, the new movie from Sean Anders, is out today.
Imagine Charles Dickens’ heartwarming tale of a scrooge visited by four ghosts on Christmas Eve—but funnier.
The Fabelmans
The Fabelmans, the new from Steven Spielberg, is out today.
The film stars Gabriel LaBelle as 16-year-old aspiring filmmaker Sammy Fabelman; four-time Academy Award nominee Michelle Williams as his artistic mother, Mitzi; Paul Dano as his successful, scientific father, Burt; Seth Rogen as Bennie Loewy, Burt’s best friend and honorary “uncle” to the Fabelman children, and Academy Award nominee Judd Hirsch as Mitzi’s Uncle Boris.

A few days after their engagement party, Buck and Laura started planning their wedding. Buck had forgiven his parents for the way they treated him after Daniel died, but he wasn't interested in having a relationship with them, and therefore, they weren't going to be involved in the wedding. Instead of a mother/son dance, there was going to be a brother/sister dance.
Laura was a fan of the 1987 movie Dirty Dancing. She and Buck took a private dance class and asked the instructor to choreograph a dance to I've Had the Time of My Life by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes.

Yes, I swear, it's the truth
And I owe it all to you.
Laura's right arm slowly moved downward. Her fingertips brushed against the back of Buck's head. She turned her head and looked at him. She slowly moved her hand downward and wrapped it around her torso until it connected with the hand he had on her waist.
'Cause I've had the time of my life
And I owe it all to you.
Buck used his free hand to push Laura's body outward. She spun and moved his hand so that it was beside her. He pulled her toward him.
I've been waiting for so long
Now I've finally found someone to stand by me
We saw the writing on the wall
As we felt this magical fantasy
Now with passion in our eyes
There's no way we could disguise it secretly
So, we take each other's hand
'Cause we seem to understand the urgency.
Buck put his right hand on Laura's back and his left hand on her waist. He pressed her up against his chest, and they began to sway, their feet following the intricate patterns they had learned for weeks on end. She raised her arms and wiggled them.
Just remember
You're the one thing
I can't get enough of
So, I'll tell you something
This could be love, because
I've had the time of my life
No, I've never felt this way before
Yes, I swear, it's the truth
And I owe it all to you.
Buck made his way to the back of the room, his hips subtly shaking with each movement. Laura stood still.
With my body and soul
I want you more than you'll ever know
So, we'll just let it go
Don't be afraid to lose control
No
Yes, I know what's on your mind
When you say stay with me tonight
Stay with me
And remember
You're the one thing
I can't get enough of.
Buck turned around with a flourish and made his way toward Laura, his hips subtly shaking with each movement. They made eye contact. He raised his right hand, palm upward, and beckoned her closer by repeatedly moving his curled index finger toward her.
So, I'll tell you something
This could be love, because
I've had the time of my life
No, I've never felt this way before
Yes, I swear
Yes, I swear
It's the truth
And I owe it all to you.
Laura ran forward. When she reached Buck, she jumped and stretched her arms horizontally to the sides. He put his hands on her hips and lifted her over his head.
The crowd cheered.
'Cause I've had the time of my life
And I've searched through every open door
'Til I found the truth
And I owe it all to you
Now, I've had the time of my life
No, I've never felt this way before
Never felt this way
Yes, I swear, it's the truth
And I owe it all to you
I've had the time of my life
No, I've never felt this way before
Never felt this way
Yes, I swear, it's the truth
It's the truth
And I owe it all to you
'Cause I've had the time of my life
And I've searched through every open door
'Til I found the truth
And I owe it all to you.
As Buck lowered Laura toward the floor, she felt the slight pressure of his fingers in her sides. He let go of her when her feet were on the floor.
The photographer stopped videotaping.
The DJ stopped spinning the disc.
Buck returned to his seat. Laura stayed on the dance floor.
It was time for the father/daughter dance.
The DJ spun a disc, and I'll Be Your Man by Zac Brown Band started playing. Laura liked that song and wanted it to play during the father/daughter dance.
You're going to make the finest mama someday
Some man will take you away
But until then
Chase down your dreams
Laugh all the time and believe
That love's going to conquer all things
So, until then
I'll be your man.
Rodney walked up to Laura. He wrapped his arms around her waist, and she put her hands on his shoulders. They began to sway. The photographer took a picture of them.
There was a time when I thought I knew love
Until you came into this world
Time keeps on flying
But you're always going be my baby girl
So, as you walk through this life, you will see
The world's what you want it to be
But until then
Go on and dance
Dance like there's no one around
Never stop singing out loud
And until then
I'll be your man
There was a time when I thought I knew love
Until you came into this world
Time keeps on flying
But you're always going to be my baby girl
Go have a ball
Take every chance that you make
You know I'll be one call away
I'll always be
I'll always be your man
Hold on, child
Hold on tight to your old man
Hold on, child
Hold on tight to your old man
I'm going to hold you tight
Under my wing long as I can
Hold you tight
Under my wing long as I can
Hold on, child
Sweet child of mine
Hold on tight to your old man
Hold on, child
Hold on tight to your old man
Hold you tight
I'm going to hold you tight
Under my wing long as I can
You're my, my, my, girl
Under my wing long as I can
I'll be your man.
The DJ stopped spinning the disc.
Rodney let go of Laura. They returned to their seats.
It was time for the brother/sister dance.
The DJ spun a disc, and Jada Facer and Kyson Facer's cover of Hey, Brother by Avicii started playing. Maddie stumbled across the cover on YouTube one day and showed it to Buck, and they decided to have the DJ play it during the brother/sister dance.
Hey, brother
There′s an endless road to rediscover
Hey, sister
Know the water's sweet but blood is thicker
Oh, if the sky comes falling down
For you
There′s nothing in this world I wouldn't do.
Maddie made her way to the dance floor. Buck walked up to her. He wrapped his arms around her waist, and she put her hands on his shoulders. They began to sway. The photographer took a picture of them.
Hey, brother
Do you still believe in one another?
Hey, sister
Do you still believe in love?
I wonder
Oh, if the sky comes falling down
For you
There's nothing in this world I wouldn′t do
What if I′m far from home?
Oh, brother, I will hear you call
What if I lose it all?
Oh, sister, I will help you out
Oh, if the sky comes falling down
For you
There's nothing in this world I wouldn′t do
Hey, brother

Do you still believe in love?

Buck let go of Maddie. They returned to their seats.
The reception ended at 10:00 p.m.
