I wish more people were normal about POC, and specifically black, characters in the MCYT fandom. I mean, for obvious reasons related to CCs and all that, but also bc I often feel like I’m doing something wrong because sometimes I’m one of the only people I know how is getting like? Stimming flappy arms excited about my favourite black characters? It’s not like I’m singling them out either I get the exact same way about my favourite non black characters?

It’s jarring to get into skyjacks and see almost equal amounts of art of Jonnit as everyone else because I’ve been in this weirdly passively racist fandom for so long. People are so weird about like CANON (silly canon but) biggri and they make them weirdly toxic when they were so sweet. If it was Scar and Grian you people would be all over it. And dude fucking whatever happened to the way people drew Ponk. And, it’s not even just black ccs and characters. Don’t get me started on the way a lot of Dteam fans back in the day (and still some qsmp fans) talk about Asian women like Tina.

#obv if you’re black your input is more important than mine #this is just important to me because a lot of my favourite characters and CCs are black and this fandom treats them like crap #and obviously??? because black people matter generally??? even if I wasn’t really into their content I still would be upset #I don’t watch tina! Lotus plays Pokemon with f1 driver nicknames - Part 4/?

Interrupting the regular sequence to bring you important news:

Look, it's Oscar!!! So huggable! The polite cat smile! (had to give the reference image since the sprite has a wider grin). It has Yawn as a move! I want to put it in my pocket! 10/10 name. Thank you random wheel, I would have never considered Clodsire but I will never get the image of it as Oscar out of my head now.

Now, back to the actual timeline of events:

Route 110 encounter, Seb the Grovyle. I was a bit confused how to rate the name but then it clicked. Mystery Dungeon Grovyle IS Seb. Perceived badly/as a villain at first (Red Bull Seb). But then after a twist becomes the most liked out of everyone. Another 10/10 name.

Then came gym 3! It was uneventful because just like the first gym, it was an Alex sweep. I'm still clinging onto my belief that this means Alex will do well on Sunday's GP in Shanghai. Please, please, pretty please.

This win opened up a whole lot of routes, so here's some more encounters:

Route 118 was Oscar, I already covered how excited I am about this perfect match.

Route 112 was Checo! The game really wants to force me to make a Sandstorm team with all the Rock and Ground types it keeps throwing at me. Name maybe a 3/10? It doesn't look confused enough for Checo. And also the ability "Oblivious" is what Checo probably WANTS to be after that much third-wheeling on podiums but his suffering expression tells us he isn't oblivious. Poor guy.

The Fiery Path encounter: Daniel! I don't have much to say except I really don't think the name fits. I don't want to give a 0 so I'm generously giving it a 1/10.

Last but not least, from Route 113: Logan! Look how happy Wailmer is. Matches Logan's pretty smile. 5/10, a bit too round and big and not very biteable to be a perfect fit. (Logan does look very chompable, Wailmer looks like it'll deflate like a balloon if you bite it or hug it too tightly)

because here's the thing here's the thing the question was not "would you be more surprised to run into a fairy or a walrus" the question was "would you be more surprised to find a fairy or a walrus AT YOUR DOOR" and while no, i do not believe in fairies and would be surprised to know they EXIST i would NOT be surprised to find one at my door. HOWEVER, if a WALRUS shows up at my door i have to contend with the fact that a walrus somehow made it to my apartment specifically and knocked on my door for god knows what reason. i would be more surprised to know that a fairy EXISTS, of course, but NOT that they're at my door, do you get me?
