literally going insane over the fact that so many companies refuse to send rejection emails like itās disgraceful tbh. you put so much time and effort into putting together an application and they canāt even be bothered tell you via some measly automated message that you didnāt get the job. youāre expected to just infer

I feel that Helena is already manifesting her hoop skirt and proper hat though.
There's an AU, the cool gunhand from Colorado with a ranger's star playing a game of cat-and-mouse with the charming English woman who is ostensibly travelling the railroad to perform her ASTOUNDING FEATS OF SCIENCE AND WONDER to packed houses. Helena also wants to be caught, so she's mincing a little, not actually trying to get away. Yes, now you point it out, I suppose thatās the gait a merely hurrying woman in long skirts would have? If she was really running I guess she'd lift her skirts and run on the toes of her pointed boots?
Also, and maybe it's the trousers and waistcoat and belt buckle, but Myka's strides in the second gif are now reminding me of the cool-hand gunslinger taking her shot at the very proper school teacher who is pretending not to be the slightest bit interested...
(But of course in reality Myka is actually both the gunslinger and the very proper school teacher. And Helena is Samantha Crawford from Maverick.)

I like that Radchaai does have a distinction between personal (she) and objective (it) pronouns, and I like to imagine that post-AI Independence there are some ships and stations that say "Well I'm a legally a person now so you should use the pronouns you use for people for me" and some that say "I'm not a human so you should keep using the pronouns you've always used for ships and stations, just learn to do it respectfully," and some ships (Sphene) that refuse to provide any guidance whatsoever but still manage to contrive, through their mildly condescending manner, to imply that whatever you've used for them you've gotten it wrong.

good GOD I am so angry.
I, as my bio suggests, am a minor. I am also asexual. And feeling quite dysphoric about all the adults in my life telling me āI wouldnāt know until Iāve tried it.ā But thatās a different topic.
I needed a little boost for myself so I looked at the asexual tag here on tumblr, so Iād feel less alone.
There are always thirst traps and other things of that kind on any popular tag. But I saw so many, on the asexual tag, that I actually cried, ripping my skin off as I did so.
There will always be people that abuse the tag system, I know. Tagging your posts with trending tags to make them more likely to show up on peopleās dashes is a corporate tactic. But to see so many of these ads, I can barely call them posts, on the asexual tag, made me physically ill.
Asexuality is often overlooked by not just cishets but the LGBTQ+ community so often. To see that a safe space for positivity for such a overlooked community was being vandalised for the sake of marketing makes me so angry and so upset for myself and all the other people who fit under the umbrella of asexuality or aromantic who just want to feel like they belong.
Iām a relatively new blog, but I know how tumblr works. I know how the world works. The way the world is run means that we are all victims, and I thought that maybe society, that damned, twisted thing, could let us have a little corner to protect ourselves.
All it does is hurt. it hurts, and it hurts, and it hurts. Companies arenāt going to get new customers by ripping apart supposed safe spaces, and young asexual kids like myself arenāt going to get any validation or even feeling of home from seeing thirst traps targeted toward our community.
our community that is SPECIFICALLY DEFINED BY FEELING DIFFERENT OR NO SEXUAL ATTRACTION TO WHAT IS DEEMED āNORMALā.
itās targeted. I can tell. And I am by no means an expert, but this tag abuse is hurting everyone. And no one is doing a thing about it.
please boost this. Reblog, like, whatever. This is damaging people far more than you think, and it needs to be resolved.
