Milgram fic idea: the prisoners are bored (as they always are) and they've already celebrated every holiday imaginable. So someone suggests doing a cross-dressing event for a change. Mahiru, Mikoto and Muu help everyone find the perfect fit (Mahiru sews half the clothes herself to make it look perfect).
A bunch of gender crisis ensue.

#so far in my sporadic picking away at various manga series i feel i have the weirdest reader relationships with JJBA and Attack on Titan#when reading JJBA i am not really that invested in the characters or even whats happening to them and yet i still never decide to dnf it#and i dont even know what it is that keeps me reading except that its just very unique i suppose?#such an odd combo of different things that somehow manages to eventually have its own sorta cohesive logic and charm#also the art is just fun. its ornate and goofy and macho and flamboyant and gross#but as soon as i put it down i stop thinking about it too#and dont feel like picking it up again for at least several more days#with attack on titan i found the art style mostly really bad at first ngl#it reminded me of awkward drawings a high schooler would make like the inconsistentness#of like there are good action poses here but the people also look weird ugly bland and stiff and the backgrounds are often so empty#idk i was feeling pretty blah about it but something about how starkly straight-forward the story is was interesting to me#where its literally exactly what you heard its just#theres a bunch of humanoid giants attacking our city#and we have to stop them. that's it#and also the awkwardness of the art style i find works extremely well when it comes to the titans#like they are genuinely creepy to me. and they do actually feel massive the way theyre drawn. and the mystery around them interests me too#anyways im like 60% through part 1 of jojo(also read most of part 4 a few years ago) and only on vol 3 of AoT#but yeah those are the 2 series i have the most mixed feelings about so far#wouldnt say i love or hate either of them but still also continue to want to find out more#13readsmanga#p

Tragically, I think there is a general dearth of good Archivist!Sasha content (and just about none of it Jonsasha content, as far as I can tell (and not only is Jonsasha my cup of tea, but the ONLY thing standing between it and the #1 OTP spot (currently occupied by JE) is the fact that the Jonsasha that I desperately crave exists in my brain and nowhere else)). Admittedly, I haven't looked very far into her tag yet (I should rectify that at some point tbh) but I've dug around the Jonsasha tag when I first got into it, and I know at least one fic where Sasha drifts towards Beholding through an interest in office gossip.
In terms of Jonsasha Ao3 has:
This very good Sasha lives fic where Jon shows up to Georgie's with an unconscious Sasha and everyone involved is very confused.
These two fics are cute also. The former is by @/suttttton and is them getting together, the latter is established Jonsasha from @/dickwheelie.
Eyevatar Sasha might actually be thinner on the ground (outside of fix-its where she solves everything and her canon reckless curiosity is completely ignored). Ao3 has:
This fic, which is Jongerry with outsider PoV Sasha. Just barely has the implication that she might be shifting towards the Eye (via prying into the lives of her coworkers) but gets a mention through sheer force of Excellent Sasha Characterization. I read this and I feel like I'm reading a fic from a Sasha Understander.
There's also this fic, which looks very promising but which I haven't actually gotten the chance to read yet, so I can't speak to its quality.
Unfortunately I've only gotten into Sasha fairly recently (especially as compared to Jon, who my brain latched onto in a deathgrip from the start), so I haven't gone through her tag yet. A scroll through the Archivist!Sasha or Beholding Avatar!Sasha tags pulls up a lot of fix-it and J//mart, which isn't really what I'm looking for from the concept. I'm sure there's more out there, and if/when I find them I'll come back to this ask probably, but I lucked into Reverse Nighthawks (I was on a Jongerry kick).
But god every day I wish that I could write romance and/or longfic, because about a year ago I read a Jonmichael fic that, when discussing alternate universes (where Jon ended the world) it's revealed that he once did an apocalypse out of love for his Archivist, Sasha James. And it was one (1) single line, but it struck me so hard because god. A perfect concept I think. The potential dynamics of Archivist!Sasha/Assistant!Jon are enthralling to me. Jon destroying the world (or helping her destroy the world? Cute date night I think: bringing about armageddon with your eldritch monster partner) for Sasha... anyway mostly I mentioned that one because My God if I have to live with that tantalizing AU rotating in the background of my mind 24/7 so do the rest of you.
#also I'm very sorry how much this was About Jon#I really /do/ love sasha it's just that jon lives in my brain literally all the time#I am incapable of making a single solitary tma post that is not like 50% about him#not a Single One#every character and relationship and dynamic must somehow include jon to interest me. #interstitial infinity#this might be my favorite episode yet for the sheer amount of character growth/regression everybody’s getting#and the action/atmosphere#mob going 100 was incredible and it somehow wasn’t even the most intense development#it’s increasingly obvious that this group is genuinely dedicated to one another’s characters and overall story fulfillment and it’s FUN#between shadow and audrey co-lecturing mob and al wrangling small apex kids#the ‘emergency parenting’ vibes are immaculate today#trish is in her villain era and I love that for her but I’m scared to find out what her number is#the active in-character use of meta and genre awareness is extremely clever#also#the team dynamic keeps shifting and it’s fascinating. like a multi-genre kaleidoscope#I am now even more commited to these relationships I didn’t know existed before this podcast

What’re your favorite kh ships?
If I'm being honest... I really only true ship SoKai these days (my forever OTP). Mainly because I feel like that's the only one I can really ever see actually being canon (well, aside from Yozora and Nameless Star, and I also ship them: a lot of that for Versus XIII reasons. My heart won't let go). And, I mean, not that a ship needs to be canon for me to ship them. Not at all. But I'll admit that I've grown out of some of the KH ships a wee bit, as I've found more adult ones in other fandoms to get invested one.
That being said, the KH ships that I do still care about are:

VenAqua slightly, but I'd always choose Terra and Aqua over it (but one thing about the Wayfinder Trio for me, if I'm being truthful, is that I prefer the three of them as friends before any romance with any of them. Part of me even really thinks all three of them are truly just meant to be friends.)
A lot of people ship Ven and Strelitzia for some reason. And I doubt it'll ever happen, tbh. Who knows if they'll ever even really get a chance to meet and be friends. But I do get why they think it'd be cute.
And while I don't know if I truly ship them anymore, a part of me will always have a soft spot for Ventus and Naminé. Because for some reason, I really used to ship this crack pairing, back in the day.
I also don't really know if I ship them... but despite what I said above, I do get the feeling that Nomura might be doing something with Lauriam/Marluxia and Elrena/Larxene.

man the weirdest thing about 2024 so far is my nyquil induced dreams this time meant I dreamt about lexa. in the year of our lord 2024!!!!!!

man. hate to say it but i finished karma files and idk how i feel about it
#its very impressively done like the gameplay is great and i like most of the new lore#but… god i kinda… dont like the whole thing with the renegade route having already happened before no matter what you do#like whether you already had a file or not#because now characters learn and we hear all these people talk about what a fucking asshole we are#and like… thatd be welcome if i DID do a renegade route. ik im planning one rn#but it just feels strange and confusing with not only one more alternate timeline but the world hates you#cause apparently ‘’we’ve betrayed them before’’ when like. i havent done shit yet my guy!#idk it just feels weirdly guilt trippy for the route where you do as many things possible to help people#idk like. maybe if it was a different interceptor entirely thatd be interesting? like if crescent somehow led to the bad timeline#and bc of that experience the world is starting to crumble and rely on you#and you can either save or destroy them#as of now im just. ??????? at all of it and not in a good way#again no hate to the team or anything like again this had to be a shit ton of work and thats impressivr. the story just rubs me the wrong wa#way#echoed voice#rejuv lb#the ana sidequest also felt nice but V getting misgendered constantly kinda took the fun out of it for me

#the prequels had shitty dialogue? that's subjective but either way its the same exact quality of dialogue as the original trilogy#so if you constantly make fun of the pt for its dialogue you HAVE to constantly make fun of the ot for ITS dialogue#or else we both know that thats not the actual reason its just an excuse#the prequels had shitty cgi? they were all made in the late nineties/early aughts i wont say this this was the most cutting edge shit around#but it was pretty standard quality special effects for the time#you can't hate on a film because it's cgi aged poorly its unfair because this was quality shit at the time#the story was dumb? i have nothing to say to that because i can't help you if you don't have taste#ewan mcgregor was the only actor from the prequels that the 'fanbase' was even a little bit kind to#hayden christensen never got a moment's peace about his (fucking GOOD) performance and yet somehow despite that#maintains nothing but love for the films and excitement and joy at his return which makes absolutely no sense#because given the amount of shit he got he should be going through a (completely justified) fucking joker arc fr#natalie portman was treated horribly for daring to be a woman in a star wars film and then even more after the films were made#for daring to talk about star wars#despite the fact that she was In The Movies#like that one tumblr post where someone sends an ask about who does she think she is wearing a star wars shirt when she probably#hasnt seen the movies#(same ask might have also called her a bitch idk)#where the person who received the ask has to be like 'that's natalie portman and she was IN THE MOVIES'#jake lloyd's life was basically ruined and he was a fucking child when he was in the phantom menace (never forgiving y'all for that one)#and even alleged prequel lovers act like they needed to be 'fixed' like the way some 'pt lovers' talk about tcw and how it 'fixed' the pt#as if they arent just spouting the same shit that pt haters say fr#but that's a topic for another day another post i wont get into that now#i speak#star wars#kenobi#i've been a prequel stannie basically from birth i wont allow former pt haters to jump on the bandwagon#you know how people who hated the amazing spider man films started being andrew garfield stans after nwh came out?#and ppl who were constantly shitting on rpatz for the cardinal sin of playing batman before a TRAILER was even released#suddenly became stannies once the film was released and was best batman film ever made?#and how ppl who were stannies from the beginning were like 'absolutely fucking not'?

Been rotating some characters and shows I like around in my brain, but something went wrong and now some wires crossed in unfortunate ways. I’ve been trying to get back into the drawing mood, but considering there is now a jumbled mess of fandoms and characters in my head now, be warned I may end up sharing something unfortunate

#It’s like… if you threw breakfast and dessert ingredients into a crock pot I guess?#in case anyone’s reading this and want an idea of what’s gone wrong just start with that roxas and sora au thing from before#now take that lil au of Roxas having to travel and adventure to find Sora and take away the TTeens#obviously Roxas can’t fly the gummi ship on his own due to a lack of smiles and reason to smile and start adding bad ideas#bad idea 1: maybe that random space loving ghost kid would like to take a vacation on a sorta kinda space ship?#bad idea 2: that randy over there sure is weird but also weirdly capable? Mayhaps capable enough to be the hero he needs right now?#bad idea 3: aliens. Space adjacent is cool and all but wouldn’t it be fun if there were aliens? And why not a contained package?#said package turns out to be a 10 year old though so no everyone’s arguing. Oh well moving on. Adventure awaits#most recently those thoughts devolved and added Kevin Levin into the mix and somehow made things worse but better#there are now 2 children and 3 teens and all of them distinctly not human and yet very much human and the children are fighting#also the idea of each of them slowly finding out about each other in increasingly horrible ways#even better is if the first is Danny very visibly being impaled and just taking a picture and walking through the blade#like oh my god he just got impaled and his first instinct is to get a visual record and phase through the problem!#the more they go through the worse it gets before suddenly another kid is being babysat and has to wonder wtf is going on#’he’s literally dead and yet I’M the freak?’ ‘Whaaat no! Nooo who said anything about freaks? You’re perfect! You’re fine! Sweet child!’#just a lil hissy and volatile in a group of volatile kids throwing hissy fits occasionally#anyway like I said some wires were crossed in a horrible way <3#I know there isn’t art of it yet but I’m still putting this on my art blog cuz if I do make art it’d be relevant here

how did I forgor Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) when I had to list my favourite movies here recently
#seriously if you haven't seen it it's a ridiculous piece of work#and I can't believe it's only 120 minutes long#ok let me be a nerd about this movie for a minute:#it was like cooking in the director's brain for literal decades and that's why it has an insane amount of worldbuilding built in#you don't have to see the previous 3 mad max movies to somehow also understand this world and everything that's going on#and yet it barely takes any time to sit you through long boring exposition chunks?#Like it RESPECTS the audience's intelligence enough to be like 'you guys are smart you will figure it out now let's get moving'#NOTHING is wasted in this movie and you pick up new cool things every time you watch#almost all of it was done practically including the vehicles and stunts INCLUDING stuff like the pole cats on the cars in the final act#in order to make the cars and props they had to build most things from a scrap yard instead of running to home depot for new parts#Every single vehicle and character down to the smallest war boy had their own backstory they made up#the only other movie I feel like i can compare this wonderful weirdness to is maybe the first 3 lotr movies#In terms of the insane work that went into it behind the scenes and the dedication to making the world come alive with so much artistry#and practical effects and years of worldbuilding and writing and the bizarre ways they had the crews bond behind the scenes#also fun fact: the director was also the guy behind Babe the pig movie and Happy Feet hahaha he's a very eclectic director to say the least#anyways now every time I see a movie that's 2.5+ hours long I'm like if Mad Max FR could be 120 mins long why can't YOU be 120 min long?#Like sorry but there's no excuse anymore. just simply get better at telling the story in 2 hours or less my guys#p
