I'm a desitiny and it was just out of ignorance. You're allowed to feel however you want to feel but let's not pretend like none of us have done things that have unintentionally offended others. Kq has already put out a statement and I'm ok with it. I don't really understand why we need to go this far when intent is an important factor to thing like this. This song is not seen negative in korea and people will sing it without thinking. I get that. But I trust they will be more thoughtful moving forward. Being ignorant is not the same as being racist and i hope people understand that. You just need to politely inform them. My English is not the best so I'm sorry
to start, I'm sorry this whole thing happened to begin with. no one should have to feel disrespected because of their ethnicity, race, gender, etc.
I wasn't going to comment on this anymore, but i'll just say this. it's true that no one is perfect and we all make mistakes. personally, I was born and raised in my native country and much like korea, a lot of racist ideologies and mindsets were instilled in me growing up, and I most definitely have acted in a way that was unacceptable. however, gaining access to the internet and then moving to australia a couple years ago, I made friends of diverse backgrounds who taught me that certain things were not okay (usually when people were disrespectful to me and I didn't see it as such). things that I thought were just 'funny' turned out to be harmful to certain cultures/ethnicities. if I had outwardly offended someone with my behaviour, no matter what my intent was, I would've still apologized and did my best to learn from what had happened.
that being said, no one is a saint and we all make mistakes. I'm really happy (most) atiny handled the situation the way they did (by not attacking them and calling them names), and I'm glad the issue got acknowledged quickly. however, the majority of desi atinys I've seen have expressed wanting to hear from the members themselves, and putting myself in their shoes, I understand and respect that. one of my closest friends is desi and seeing her so upset over this was very difficult, and she told me that she would like to hear the members address this themselves. while I'm sure they did it out of ignorance (and not to directly mock a certain culture), desi atinys were still hurt and affected by this, and deserve the apology they want.
I'm not trying to invalidate your feelings, I respect your thoughts and I'm very glad you've gotten closure over this situation. but others haven't, and considering they're affected greatly by this, I don't think we should label their protests as an overreaction.

Solar return observations pt 2 🦋🌟✨
Tumblr media
Hi friends! Welcome back to another post as this was requested by a few of you 💗 feel free to like comment and reblog! ✨🌟
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Chiron in the 8th house 🌹🌙- The native may feel their spiritual beliefs are expanding, or what they originally believed in is not necessarily the whole truth. Natives with this placement often experience “another side” to what they thought was true, usually in a religious or occult sense. For example, someone with this placement believes in Christianity, but a circumstance happened outside of them which had their curiosity move towards another religion, or they simply focused on spirituality. Were there more to life than they previously understood? Often times the native will ask themselves this.
Mars in Gemini 🦋🌙- The native may feel the need to join a social media circle that year and assert themselves in a new community! The native may find themselves searching for truth of some kind, whether it’s related to an occult sense, or a practical matter. The native that year will pursue higher knowledge through others.
Neptune in the 7th ✨🤍- Relationships with others are deepening. Boundaries are dissolving, which is why it’s important to recognize your own before others tell you them. It’s easy to view people through rose colored lenses, and to feel in touch with your heart this year. You may meet spiritual people, or a spiritual partner that’ll help you expand your dreams ✨ codependency is a common theme that year, so its important to look out for those cycles. You may end up attending events and drinking at some point
Moon in the 6th house 🌷🥂- Honestly this gives me the vibes of someone being a farmer off in the far lands 🤣 but anyway, the native will most likely retreat that year into their comfort zone. Socializing can drain the natives battery, and will find that work could be demanding that year. Fluctuations in work schedules are common, and most likely the native can find tension because their moods are sensitive to their environment. The native is prone to being sick much more due to picking up energy from their environment that year, so cleanse!
5th house stellium 💘☀️- Opportunity to meet new people and go out in style! Connecting with others helps you connect to yourself. Potential to meet a partner and best friend that year. Especially with Venus in there and Mercury. Mercury denotes you may meet them online, and Venus suggests a romantic opportunity. Depending on which sign this stellium falls in, your creativity will be channeled differently. If it’s in Capricorn you’ll find yourself being creative in a disciplined, practical way. You may be reserved when it comes to fun that year, and may have issues of letting yourself enjoy.
Tumblr media
Sun in the 4th 🤗🌷- Someone with this placement had their father moving in and out of their apartment for an entire year. So the father could play an important role in your life much more this year. He could try to be involved with the native emotionally, but since its in the 4th house he brings more turbulence and instability, than something consistent. Also family will be more important this year, you’ll be surrounded by your family members a lot more!
Jupiter 7th house 🤍🌟- The potential to be with someone for the long term! Someone who gives a lot, someone humorous, and with a lot of knowledge. Someone pursuing higher education, if not, this person travels a lot for work. Depending in which zodiac sign Jupiter falls in, it’ll tell you about that person you’ll be with for a while. For example, if its in Pisces, you’ll meet someone with abundant spiritual knowledge and experience. Someone who likes to mix drinks, and get high. Someone who is a dreamer and has deep occult ties to the underworld 🤣💘 but is a softie!
Uranus aspecting Jupiter in the 7th house 🌟- Someone I knew with this placement got into their first relationship at 20. It was a shock to them being that they didn’t think they would ever meet someone that fast, or it would develop into something like that. It was a long distant connection given Uranus is aspecting the 7th house. When Aquarius was looked at, Moon & Saturn fell in Aquarius in his SR chart and he formed a very close bond to them! It was a relationship that progressed over time, a year. So how it started was random, but how it continued was different!
Scorpio Rising 🥂🙈- The native will go through many transformations that year. Focus on the self and releasing the past is important that year. The native can also find wealth this year, financially speaking and may indulge in a side hustle! Someone I knew with this placement had a cycle from a few years ago return, in order to be healed properly and the way it deserves. For him, it was a sense of self worth, he struggled with that and had circumstances happen in which he had to develop his confidence. In which he had to make decisions for himself. A physical glow up is also something that happened too.
Venus in Scorpio 🌷🦋- Transformation in love, relationship and connections. Old wounds come up to be released, especially fear of intimacy that year. Its likely the native may meet someone who will hold up a mirror to their wounding and triggers are common, its to help them become aware of what needs to change within themselves. The native could struggle with wanting to be seen, but hiding themselves as a form of protection. Release and work through protective mechanisms that worked in the past, and aren’t suitable for the present moment.
Thank ya’ll so much for reading 🤍 Hope this resonated & please feel free to share your feedback! Its always appreciated 🌟✨ have a great day/night everyone 💅🏻

I get that people are interested in my opinion and feelings of the Spain Haka video because I live in Aotearoa and am Māori. There’s a lot of thoughts and feeling and I am happy to discuss Māori culture but I don’t really want to comment much further on the video after this so I’ll try be as articulate as possible.
That video was one of the first things I saw this morning when I woke up and I’m not going to lie I was very upset and angry when I saw it. However, as I have had time to digest this morning the more common feeling is disappointment.
Disappointment in that FIFA has done quite a bit to include both Māori, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture in the marketing and branding of the tournament but this still happens.
Disappointment that people whether is the players themselves or the Spanish FA have not done their due diligence and researched our culture before coming over. Not sure how good or accurate Spanish language resources would be on Māori culture though, which is maybe why this disconnect has occurred.
Perhaps even disappointment in New Zealand Football and New Zealand ourselves that they have not helped to provide the resources to these teams coming and visiting Aotearoa.
I am acutely aware that most foreigners only view of Haka is Ka Mate which is one of the Haka the All Blacks perform before a test match which people often reference as a war dance. Haka can be a war dance but it is actually a dance for celebrating life. People perform them at weddings, funerals, welcoming ceremonies, and other occasions. I was actually surprised that all the teams arriving in Aotearoa weren’t welcomed with a Haka.
There are also many different Haka and the roles of men and women in them are different. For example, you will never see a wahine stick her tongue out or crouching. She will always be standing and will pukana without sticking her tongue out.
If there is anything positive from the video is that I hope this is a learning experience for people. As I have had time to reflect I am not offended because I cannot be offended by people who are not educated or informed. I will only be offended if they do not learn from this and it happens again.
Please do not be offended on my behalf. It is no one’s place to tell us how we should react or feel about this.
Also please don’t hate on the players or the team for this. If you are commenting on this all I ask is you do so from an education perspective or solution based approach. Yelling into the void that this is wrong doesn’t help prevent this from happening in the future.
Thanks for taking the time to read this if you have made it this far.

WELCOME TO PLANTONIC PALS PUNCHOUT!
If Saturday cartoons taught us anything it’s that The Power Of Friendship is the ultimate weapon that can defeat any obstacle! But can it defeat...other friendships!?
This tournament will pit Dynamic Duo vs Dynamic Duo to see who has the Ultimate Friendship. They will do this by punching other pairs in the face winning polls! The competition will be single-bracket-style (because that’s the only kind I know how to do lol)
[SUBMIT HERE!] but read the rules first :3 We have 100 fandoms represented by over 130 submissions! Thanks so much to everyone!! Preliminary polls are being organized NOW to limit the number of pairs to 1 per fandom.
Rules:
👉Characters must be (or once were) canonically friends, which means they’ve had on-screen/in-text buddy time together, or have mentioned their friendship explicitly. Characters who start as friends but lose their friendship are allowed! 👉No real people, real people playing themselves (DSMP, etc), or country-fictions (Hetalia, etc). I may accept pets or OCs IF they get multiple submissions from different people and there’s room left in the bracket (I feel bad when they lose :(  )  👉No Harry Potter or Attack on Titan. 👉Pairs only. As fun as groups are, I worry that having more characters on their team may sway the votes. Characters with DID or who otherwise have alternate identities count as a single character. 👉Canonically romantic pairs must have significant on-screen/in-text platonic time, and/or emphasis placed on buddy-hood over romance throughout the story.* (a good example is Phoenix Wright & Miles Edgeworth) This is semi-subjective & somewhat controversial, so I’ll be prioritizing purely platonic friendships. Friends With Benefits™️ are totally fine as long as they are actually friends.  👉Familial pairs are fine as long as their buddy-hood is emphasized throughout the story. (a good example is Goofy & Max)
*Sometimes characters only get together late into the story, or use the Power of Friendship even after getting together, or their relationship is on the vague side, so these duos may be included ^^ Essentially, even if they get together romantically, you’re still submitting them as friends, and confirming that their relationship is portrayed as comfortably platonic more than romantic/pining.
As for me, my name is Murphy (he/him or she/her), I’m arospec, Autistic, and I’ve never run a tournament before. I can’t make polls on desktop for unknown reasons & barely know how to use mobile, so this blog might be a bit...scuffed, at first ^^; please be patient with me.
Shameless self-plug: if you like my me, please check out my [YouTube channel] where I do art & science education, or my [Warriors/art tumblr]. Thank you!!

A point no one ever touches on about Flint:
The fact that he was raised by his grandfather.
Now, maybe it was common back then, but from personal experience; losing your parents at such a young age makes a huge impact on a person.
People argue that “Flint” was created because of the loss of Thomas Hamilton. But I’d like to think it was when he lost his parents. The only difference being, Miranda and Thomas allowed him to come out of the shadows, out of hiding. He had that rage inside him before he lost Thomas, his boss in the Navy said so himself after he beat up a guy in the bar. He had a darkness in him that not even he understood the depths of.
I can definitely relate to that statement and mindset, I think as a kid instead of acting out on his aggression; Flint used books and stories to try and escape his reality, so he wouldn’t be alone with his own thoughts. I do the same with TV shows and stories I write.
But then he found Thomas and Miranda and he didn’t need the books to crawl into, he was accepted by them, welcomed. And as someone who was adopted themselves, it’s extremely hard and sometimes it feels impossible to believe that someone could love you as you are or for who you are. Not only that, I think he found family within them, something sometimes hard for someone who loses their parents.
Flint tried to fit in by becoming an officer, upholding the standards of the law and whatnot, to be like everyone else. But deep inside, I think he felt very out of place and alone. He saw the world as it was, the cruelty within the people, and he ended up showing that to Thomas who was quite oblivious to it. But Flint knew the world was cruel at an early age.
They come from different backgrounds, but together they get to see the world through each other’s eyes, and that is a world that they can see being happy in.
Now, I know a lot of people like to think it’s purely queer rage that drove Flint, but I like to think it was something much deeper than that. Yes, he loved Thomas, inside and out, but I think Thomas was the first person who he didn’t have to pretend with. He was the first person who made him feel as if he wasn’t alone: that he was worthy of being loved. Then he was taken away and James became Flint and took Miranda away with him out of England.
Her ghost even says that first to him, she was a mother, and that’s why he was so ruined over her. He lost his mother again. I think it just shows that his reasons are a lot deeper than just being ostracized for being queer in that time. I think his rage goes beyond that, it goes all the way to his core of who he believes he is because of the loss of his parents. He came up from nothing, his grandfather wasn’t well off, he didn’t have a mother figure, that can be extremely damaging to a child growing up.
And sure, he had his grandfather, but growing up without parents also makes it extremely hard to figure out who you are. And it doesn’t specifically say how he lost his parents, but personally I like to believe that he lost his mother in childbirth, maybe his father died before he was born. It does mention that his father was a carpenter’s mate (worked on a ship) and that James himself had no schooling growing up. Which means, he learned everything himself because his grandfather was a fisherman and probably wasn’t well educated either. So he came from literally nothing and made something of himself, yet I don’t think he was content. I think he kept climbing the ranks, hoping it would give him a sense of meaning or purpose within his life, give him the peace he wanted, fill the hole within that losing his parents left.
An additional to that would be that James McGraw was a personality he put on, much like he did with Flint.
I also think he saw Gates as a father figure, a mentor, someone he trusted and respected more than any one else. So I think when Gates betrayed him, it broke something inside of him and he felt alone again.
He also says that England took his home; and I don’t think he meant the physical place, I think he meant Thomas. But I also think he meant his final security within himself. With Thomas and Miranda he found family, he found love and trust.
When Miranda was murdered it was the absolute last straw for him. It was like his mother dying all over again; except this time she was murdered, and now no one was safe from his vengeance. And people might think he went overboard, but think about it: someone insinuated that she was a slut and he almost beat the man to death. I think it was well within his rage now he burned the entire place down after she was murdered. Hell, those people got off easy.
He also talks about where the name Flint came from. A man that was never seen again. I think he chose it because in his mind, identity was something you could change, something you could toss away when done with. But closer to the end, he realized, he was Flint, Flint was him, and there was no throwing it away and starting over.
He tells Silver that he shouldn’t be afraid that he (Silver) will be his end because I think he already realizes that he’s already his own end. That there is no other way other than to die, in order to get rid of Flint. I think he knew at some point, that Silver would have to kill him and he was oky with it, but as long as the war was won or Silver carried on with the efforts of the war, so Flint would no longer be needed. Or Flint would just off himself when the time came. It was like passing on the torch, only Silver blew it out in front of him.
And for the offing himself part, we all know he would do it because at the end of the first season he tried to drown himself, he gave up hope. So he does have it in him to do that. (Not so fun fact: adoptees are 4x more likely to attempt suicide)
And I think it’s another reason Flint allowed himself to trust Silver in the first place. On some level, he knew that Silver understood what it was to have no solid identity, to have a background that made something inside of you missing. Silver had no problems shifting his position on the ship in order to stay relevant, which is why they made such good partners, because they understood one another in a way that Gates never could. But the thing with Silver was that he couldn’t see the ultimate bigger picture like Flint could, he didn’t have the loss Flint had, the sacrifices that Flint made, all he saw in the end was the destruction, not the new beginning coming out of the ashes.
Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

The Iron Claw: *arguably* 2023's most brutal (and re-watchable) film
Whether you like wrestling or know nothing about it, The Iron Claw is for you. Need me to prove it to you? Here are my 2 reasons:
1. Zac Efron
2. Jeremy Allen White
If reason 1 peaked your interest, that means you like hot muscular men doing hot muscular things (valid), and if 2 was what convinced you, you've already proved you like to watch things with complicated messy and devastating family relationships with a hint of depression. You're welcome!
Tumblr media
The Iron Claw, for those unaware, follows the true story of the Von Erich family, a famous wrestling family that supposedly carried a curse after a series of extraordinarily tragic events occurred.
If you know nothing about this story, I won't spoil it for you, especially when the best education on it comes from this film. Not only do you of course witness the lives of each Von Erich brother, but you get wrestling explained to you via a conversation between Zac Efron and Lily James, who really does play the ultimate girl next door turned strong supportive wife so well here.
Tumblr media
At its core, this film is about family, and more specifically, about siblings. When you really think about it, siblings have such unique relationships, seeing as they are raised often in the same environment, yet can branch into such individual and vastly different people. But that bond, whether it be a product of nature or nuture, good or bad, sticks with siblings their entire lives. In that way, this film does an excellent job exploring the feeling of protection you feel over a younger sibling as well as the indescribable pain of not being able to provide that protection when a sibling starts on their own independent life path.
Tumblr media
It's an emotional watch and one that at times had me speechless at the way this family operated for unfortunately too long. Shrödinger's guns correlated to each tragedy are laced through the film, making this true story feel like a perfectly crafted fiction; there are so many signs pointing to what will go wrong, it doesn't feel like a real human being wouldn't spot them. Along with the writing, where some single lines burn themselves into your brain due to the strength of your weeping, the film proves itself an outstanding tragedy crafted under the "based on a true story" sports film banner.
And I'd be amiss to not go back to my reason 1 and reason 2 of why to watch this film: the incredible actors and their stellar performances. While I think Efron really takes the cake here as the lead of the film, Allen White is excellent, as are Harris Dickinson and Stanley Simons as the other Von Erich brothers. And of course, there's the spectacular Holt McCallany as the Von Erich partiarch. Their performances really deliver the dramatic and emotional impact of the film, and I can't stress enough how their portrayal of a family wrecked is something to behold.
It's so good, you may have to watch it twice, just to fully feel The Iron Claw's one-two punch (this is a boxing joke being made by a film nerd to make it seem like I know about wrestling; clearly, I do not).

Thrawn Headcanons
Warnings: explicit sexual material (minors DNI); female!reader referred to as Thrawn’s partner.
A/N: I’m rewatching Rebels and I’ve been in a Thrawn mood for months after finishing both canon series. Being my favorite Star Wars character aside, I’ve never seen headcanons of him. So I wanted to take a stab.
SFW
1.     Thrawn likes children. He likes their curious nature and always takes time to answer their questions, nudging them to think about answers and work through problems themselves. Patient and methodical in his approach, Thrawn believes educating and preparing future generations to be inquisitive, analytical, and detail-oriented is instrumental to the survival and success of the Ascendancy.
2.     Museums—specifically art and history museums—dominate Thrawn’s days off work. He takes his time (at least half a day) observing and reading the exhibits, appreciating unique aspects to different cultures, and studying the art and history of these cultures to better understand their actions—military or otherwise. Sometimes he loses track of time and an announcement that the museum is closing will surprise him. It’s one of the few times he’s caught off guard.
3.     Thrawn does not understand politics, and it frustrates him. He’s spent years honing his military and analytical skills, so to be bested by politics irks him. He views problems through an analytical mindset that can be solved through logistics. But politics is not black-and-white, and people act on their personal—sometimes greedy and/or selfish—motivations (in both the Ascendancy and the Empire). Thrawn believes in pursuing the good of the Ascendancy, and the good of the galaxy at large. He doesn’t understand how individuals pursue their own greed over the survival and success of a galactic union.
4.     Perceiving the world around him through an analytical and logical mindset, Thrawn can be seen as emotionless and unfeeling. This isn’t accurate. Thrawn cares for others, in his own way. He sees the potential in others and he wants to help them reach that potential. It doesn’t matter if it’s a child wanting to learn how to fly or an officer proving themselves worthy of a promotion, Thrawn wants to see his subordinates and general citizens succeed. And he will provide them with the tools and means to succeed. That’s how he shows he cares.
5.     Thrawn saves his genuine smiles for specific moments—achievements. He does smile on the occasion (especially when a child works through a problem), but his genuine smiles are rare. They can make anyone feel special and appreciated.
6.     With a constant yearning to learn, Thrawn enjoys spending time at a museum with his partner. He will challenge your thinking on certain beliefs, and he expects you to challenge his own. Your interest in specific exhibits piques his curiosity and, after your visit, he will spend hours learning everything he can on your subjects of interest simply to share in your fascination.
7.     Being with Thrawn is a learning experience. Logic dominates his mindset and he finds it difficult, at times, to understand the more emotional side to his partner. He wants a partner who is independent—who isn’t emotionally reliant on him—and recognizes his unique ways of showing love.
8.     Thrawn doesn’t verbalize his love and, from face value, it can seem like he views his partner as a colleague and nothing more. But he shows his love through the time spent together, by welcoming you into his home and sleeping in his bed; he shows his love through simple gestures, like learning everything about your interests/beliefs to engage with you, observing what piques your attention in a marketplace and later gifting it to you, knowing your drink preference and preparing it for you each morning to take one extra thing off your plate.
9.     Thrawn is not neglectful with his attention and care, but he does emphasize the importance of his work (the man is trying to protect his people and other species from a Grysk takeover—that shit requires lots of his time and attention). He desires a partner who isn’t clingy or demanding of his time; someone who respects his dedication to his work and supports him. Someone who doesn’t balk at his drive and understands when he can’t make it home until late at night.
10.     It’s never a dull evening in Thrawn’s kitchen. Innovative, Thrawn prefers to experiment with recipes—mixing herbs, introducing new seasonings, trying different methods. He likes to perfect variations of the same recipe—keeping true to the source material—and he especially loves when you join him. Music in the background and you both contributing to the meal’s preparation, is a simple way for Thrawn to wind down after a busy day at work. And if you—in the middle of preparing dessert—tease him by splattering some whip cream on his face, he’ll return the favor to your neck or collarbone, and he won’t hesitate to lick it off. Possibly leading to more intimate areas for whip cream extravaganzas.
NSFW
1.     Inventive and perceptive, Thrawn seeks to understand your body and its most sensitive spots. He dedicates time to learning the intricacies of your body, and he’s meticulous in his desire to know every way to make you orgasm. Curiosity dominates his thinking and he will never stop trying to find new ways to bring you pleasure.
2.     Enhanced senses—from the ability to detect increased body heat to scenting the beginning of arousal—allow Thrawn to be in tune with your body. He knows when you’re aroused, and more often than not, a quick scan of your body can tell him what exactly you need in that moment. (The best thing for more reserved partners who don’t like to verbalize their wants.)
3.     Thrawn has a particular interest in making you orgasm just from nipple play. He will hold your hips firmly, making sure you don’t grind your clit against him, and experimentally lick, suck, and bite until you’re orgasming.
4.     Never one to shy from using all at his disposal, Thrawn likes to experiment with vibrators. He has a collection, each with its own purpose based upon menstrual cycle, time of day, and particular sensitivity to stimulation.
5.     Thrawn likes to make you orgasm. Needing to test your limits and challenge his own beliefs about your body, he takes immense pleasure in your orgasms and his success.
6.     Thrawn prefers control in the bedroom. He derives pleasure from seeing you squirm beneath him—dominating the pace in which he fucks you, flattening your hands to the mattress, tying your wrists to the headboard.
7.     From behind, Thrawn will grip your hips and fuck you hard, fuck you deep until you’re nearing your orgasm, and then he’ll hold you in place, feeling you strain against him as you try to find rhythm again, chuckling at your desperation, massaging your hips and ass as he starts a slower pace, edging you back to the brink.
8.     Eye contact is a favorite of Thrawn’s. He likes to put a pillow beneath your back so you can take him deeper, and when you wrap your legs around his hips, he’ll growl his pleasure. Legitimately growl.
9.     From extensive research and experimentation, Thrawn has perfected rhythmic thrusts. Hard, fast, slow, rough. It doesn’t matter the style: he has technique for every scenario. He could double as a male stripper from his impressive hip maneuverability, alone.
10.     Disciplined in his work, Thrawn loves when you sit beneath his desk and suck on his cock. It’s a nice challenge to him—to see if he can sort through the details of his work while you bring him pleasure. Once finished, he’ll stroke your hair and as he’s seeing you out his door, he’ll casually whisper he’ll return the favor later. The promise is a type of foreplay—to let you know what’s coming but to make you wait.
11.     Thrawn has an imperceptible possessive nature to him that only you know about. Marks on your inner thighs, the swells of your breasts, and especially your hips are his physical reminders that you belong with him.

GitS Asks!
Tumblr media
Not as much as he does the boys. April's pretty good about having her own fun, she's got a family to go back to, she can separate herself when she needs to. She can handle herself!
Tumblr media
Noted 👀 Though I don't read fanfic very often because I'm. Usually too busy writing it. fhgdkjgf I'm already behind on stuff I want to read. I will put it on my List.
Tumblr media
Leo's least favorite is math, he finds it boring as all hell. Raph's least favorite is chemistry. He cannot get any of it right for the life of him. He accidentally made mustard gas once and from then on Donnie was paired with him to make sure that didn't happen again. Mikey's is history! He has a hard time just sitting still and listening. Donnie's least favorite is the mystic arts. He thinks it's unnecessary for him, because he doesn't have a mystic weapon.
Ghost just tells them he's going to teach them something today and they pretty much all show up. If they miss a day, he doesn't scold them about it or anything, he just lets them miss it. If they don't understand something because of it later, he can just teach it to them again. Normally they don't miss more than a day at a time, and if they do there's usually something else going on. Ghost is homeschooling them, and it's not like they're going to college. The point is learning, not to make them suffer when they don't feel like it. ;)
Splinter was giving the boys an education! He taught them colors, and alphabets, and how to read, how to clean, how to take care of themselves. Splinter taught them a lot, and Ghost knows that. He's not mad for Splinter focusing on the more practical things and less on the academic side.
Tumblr media
Oh yeah he's gonna flip y'all.
Tumblr media
"Who?"
Tumblr media
Spoilers! Though I am now thinking of that 03 episode during fast forward where they go to the gala and Donnie is wearing a purple suit. Thank you.
Tumblr media
Ghost is still kinda active with the homeless community. He doesn't talk to them, or really show himself at all, but he drops off blankets and clothes he finds when scavenging.
Ghost doesn't know about Don stealing from ATMs at the moment! He won't mind it, though. He's not hurting anyone but big banks by doing it.
Tumblr media
Oh you think Ghost's self-blame and self-hatred is bad now? NOTHING compared to what it would be if he'd fallen into Rise after experiencing SAINW. He knows what's going to happen to his brothers. He knows he disappeared, and that the world ended because of it. He'd work a lot harder. I don't think he'd pay any attention to the kids, honestly, I think he'd be neck-deep in making a portal, trying everything, retrying it.
Ghost has accepted that he's stuck in his dimension. Donatello would not.
Tumblr media
The TECH! It's so much easier to get high-grade metal and supplies in Rise! He can get SO MUCH SHIT! No wonder Donnie can build things so nicely, people dump out nice stuff!
Tumblr media
Welcome to ow, I'll be your host-
Tumblr media
Spppoiiilerrsssss? I think? Probably???
Tumblr media
It does! There was a poll quite a ways back that even asked if Ghost ends up with Leo or with the other boys. He's in Tahiti. ;)
Tumblr media
Phantom is far less scarred than Ell. He still has the leather jacket because I feel like he deserves a leather jacket. Ghost doesn't have the scar over his eye because of Phantom. When Ghost disappeared to the Battle Nexus to try and find answers, Phantom immediately started looking for him. Ghost had only meant to go for a day, but was trapped by Big Mama and forced to fight. Phantom found him and pulled him out of there before he ever got the scar.
Tumblr media
Some things are universal constants :)
Whether they survive it or not is different.
Tumblr media
Oh 03 Donatello is completely destroyed. He blames himself entirely. He works all the time to get his lost brother back. Ell and Spirit don't blame Donny, but Mike does a bit. It's easier to be mad at someone than the universe.
Tumblr media
w... what about it....
Tumblr media
Bold of you to assume that Ghost isn't going to break that curse
Tumblr media
Rise boys are starting to realize their mentor isn't invincible and immortal. Terrifying thing to learn.
Tumblr media
Thank you!! Glad you like it!

I'm sorry, but I don't believe you have even a rudimentary grasp on feminist theory, and could benefit from an education.
maybe you're right, and you're welcome to educate me (like, genuinely, I would probably enjoy that). I would appreciate if you were a bit more specific with what of what I've said makes you think that, because I believe the gist of my argument is very important if not to feminism broadly, to a model of feminism that is capable of incorporating trans women without stabbing them in the back within its critique of patriarchy —namely that there isn't one intrinsic, "natural" female/woman identity or trait that invites misogyny, it's a self-reifying set of relations which creates the necessity for the concept of "womanhood" to exist, performing a woman's roles and being perceived as a woman is what makes women, women, and that includes trans women, there's little more to it than that
if you wanna set yourself apart from everyone and say you're actually a real woman, because you say you are, and dissect the difference from the transfem that doesn't necessarily think of their relation to gender through the same exclusive binary lens, however that manifests in practice, whichever labels and pronouns they choose to use, then do so, but I think you'll find that gets us no closer to examining why we are actually oppressed and the ideas we have to disseminate to counter that, because that line, while important for self-actualization, isn't actually very relevant to how we're perceived, which is often the most important aspect of how we're treated by society. while we can affirm our personal identity in relationships that are both recurring and premised on mutual respect, we don't get that privilege most of the time, and people's understanding of us are based on assumptions.
it does not matter then that you ID as a woman and the other person doesn't if you never get the opportunity to say that, it's completely irrelevant. if you are both read as <genderweird person dressed like a woman & male voice>, you're both legitimate targets for modes of violence for people associated with the words "tranny faggot".
Tumblr media
I also find this very disingenuous because it ignores that passing, presenting as our preferred gender, isn't always a possibility, likewise, the implication that "men" by necessity can't be discriminated for gender non-conformity under exactly the same rules as non-passing trans women is completely arbitrary. you don't know how other people are being read, you don't know if they're being read as a gay man or a tranny trying to hide the fact they're tranny, or something in between, how okay the interviewer is with either and where do they draw the line. you simply don't know that! we could run the same thought experiment where a trans woman is boymoding for a job interview, wearing a binder to hide her tits (something I've done countless times), using her deadname and not displaying any signs of femininity, and she gets the job and the "man" who has a panty wearing kink and maybe also presents a lot more overtly effeminate in public doesn't, because the interviewer thought she was less of a faggot.
even if the "man" may have an easier time concealing what you would call a "fetish" at work, something you can't really distinguish from a normal aspect of a person's gender expression without a degree of moralism, are trans women that are not always out, or hide their transness at their job, not subjected to transmisogyny, are they not deserving of calling themselves trans women? should we shun them and lump them with "chasers" because they are not baring their femininity full time and being pummeled for that constantly? like, where do you draw the line? and I'm not saying the guy who likes to wear his wife's skirt while she pegs him and is otherwise a massive homophobe the rest of the time gets it like you or me, but I think it's pretty obtuse to pretend the line between "binary trans woman" and "non-trans CAMAB person who cross-dresses; whose oppression should be understood under the framing of transmisogyny", can only be measured by those two points.

GaaSaku 2023 FanFest Day1
Promt: Punch me/BAMF
He certainly hadn’t expected this.
Even in his recent months spent as the newly elected fifth Kazekage of Sunagakure, there were still few of Gaara’s people that approached him so boldly, and even fewer foreigners. It used to be his quiet and foreboding presence that kept others at a distance, but now that he’d softened around the edges, it was his grand title and honored standing that sat him at a pinnacle other’s thought beyond approach. In the past, eyes were cast down in fearful respect, now it was done with wise recognition.
Either way, direct gazes avoided him all the same, and it felt no different.
But this…this was different.
Sakura Haruno stood at the front of a gathering of fresh-faced genin all lined up in neat rows under the morning sun. She was center of them all and held the front spot in her line; a tall stance, shoulders squared, warm light shining on pale skin, eyes bright and facing straight ahead, straight at him.
On this arid and calm desert day, Gaara had arrived at the training grounds of Suna not twenty minutes prior; he had guests to welcome.
The bi-annual chunin exams were about to get underway, and Sunagakure had been chosen as the host city. It had been nearly two decades since the exams had been held here, and Gaara was keen on showcasing their growth in not only their military, but in their infrastructure as well. The passing of his father shifted the city’s focus from exponential military growth to more domestically centered focuses; improving education and academy access, repairs to their extensive systems of aqueducts that quenched the thirsty populous, upgrades to their medical facilities, and much more.
His people were happier, daily hardships were easing back just a little, and the city certainly breathed differently now than it had in his childhood. He was proud, he wanted to boast their accomplishments with confidence and pride, but now he suddenly felt…anxious?
“Could you repeat that, Sakura?”
“I said I’d like to spar,” she said again without hesitation, the slightest hinting of an upturn pulling at the corner of her lips. Her eyes hadn’t left his, his tongue was going dry, and just as that time in the forest, he was unshakably locked on those bright, dazzling emerald eyes.
He recognized those stood behind her as Shikamaru’s old team, it seemed that Sakura made the perfect match for them without Sasuke and Naruto to join her, but the incredulous look plastered across their faces was mirrored by most other genin in attendance. Here she stood; in line with all the other contestants, still at the bottom rung of the ladder through the ranks, and she had asked the Kage of the Wind nation for a spar.
He had only just finished his welcome to the contestants, encouraging them to make themselves at home and use any training grounds permitted to them as they saw fit, and hadn’t yet offered to answer any questions when she had stepped forward. It was as if no one else were present when she flashed a polite smile his way, thinly veiled by that mischievous look in her eyes, and asked if he could spare her some time. It was such a direct question, from effectively the last person he’d assumed would ask, that he paused his speech, his words failing him for a moment.
“I apologize,” he began, taking the opportunity to practice his manners. “But I am a busy man.”
She shrugged, still holding his eyes with her own, and he couldn’t tell if the sun had kissed her face just a little or maybe the heat was getting to her, but she looked slightly flushed. “I can be patient.”
He remembered she and Ino pit against each other before; an unfortunate matchup that perhaps tempted them to pull their punches against old friends. He had certainly found it mundane and unexceptional to watch. Either way, her strength may have been lacking at that time, but her tenacity had been clearly on display when she’d intervened between himself and Sasuke. It hadn’t stopped him, but it had slowed him down, clouded his thinking, and he was sure it was ultimately what saved the Uchiha’s life that day.
But she stood before him today a rebuilt and remade individual; there was confidence to her poise, an elegance to the way her high chin emphasized her neck, and her captivating gaze contained a knowing quality that left echoes of intrigue resonating through his body. She had seen him fight, she had seen him break bones and draw blood, she had even faced him and lived to tell the tale. Not many in her position had been able to say the same, and now she was essentially asking for a rematch in front of everyone.
He hadn’t mean to, but he heard himself reply, “All right,” before continuing with his welcoming address. The genin all bent an ear to listen, but he could tell that her public and very unconventional request had them distracted. It was a good thing he had gone over his talking points once again before starting, he was getting rather distracted as well.
Those eyes hadn’t left him, sparkling in the sunlight and bejeweled as they were, and no matter where he put his focus on the gathered crowd, he could still feel the weight of them on him. Where his palms getting sweaty?
It didn’t matter, he was finished with his piece as the head seat of the city and turned them over to Shikamaru who had come to explain the layout of the exams. Stepping aside, he was freed from her gaze as she gave the new speaker her attention and was allowed to more comfortably observe the curious happenings of his morning.
She stood just as proudly before Shikamaru as she had him, no longer the shuddering leaf that had been frightful of so many of their opponents before. His mind’s eye didn’t have the clearest picture of her back then, he’d found her so overlookable when outshined by her teammates, but he couldn’t overlook how inviting her figure had become, or how he found that he preferred the length that was returning to her hair, and how mature and defined the roundness of her face had gotten. She stood a bit taller now, they all did, and he could tell the definition of her muscles reflected the work she’d done to allow such confidence worn across her face.
Could a few years really change that much?
He’d been stared down quite enough since the start of the genin address, and he wondered how different he looked from her perspective. Had his stature reflected the improvements he’d undergone? Did his face look more mature as well or, now a little self-conscious, did he still look to be a boy wearing his father’s robes? With no necessity for it, he’d forgone most of the usual strength training done by those in their profession, but his fight with Lee had incentivized him to train otherwise; was it noticeable at all? He suddenly found himself conscious of his posture, second guessing the expression he wore, and found it difficult to keep his eyes from sliding back to this unexpected distraction.
Even after she had glanced his way, catching him mid-stare, he’d only looked away for a moment.
Soon, too soon given how he’d yet to find the words, the genin were all dismissed and gradually went their separate ways. A few senseis had approached him with a question or two, gratitude for hosting the exams, the typical formalities he’d been expecting, but in truth he’d only half paid attention to anything they said and whatever he strung together in reply. Again, he could feel those eyes on him, an itching in the back of his mind that made his pulse throb in his throat and an unfamiliar anxiousness to settle in his limbs.
Of course, he shouldn’t have been surprised when she walked up to him the moment he was free, her first words just some regurgitated pleasantries that the others had already said. Perhaps it wasn’t the approach that had surprised him, maybe it had been how favorable he found that sweet and warm scent of vanilla that clung to her skin, or how it was his own heart that was beginning to race against his chest.
He'd nodded to her gratitude, though by the look in her eyes he could tell that she knew he hadn’t listened to her words, nor looked her in the eyes as she said them. Something about the way her lips moved when she spoke to him was diverting his attention. “What are you hoping to achieve?” he asked, perhaps sounding a little standoffish due to his very real apprehension.
She shrugged, her eyes holding his gaze captive. “I just want to see,” she offered innocently enough, though the knuckle crack he’d heard from her gloved hand was anything but.
The clear challenge in her eyes stirred him. It had been months since someone provoked him like this, and they hadn’t been keen on his abilities like Sakura was; their arrogance had been born of ignorance and Gaara couldn’t help but wonder what her’s was born from. He tried not to smirk with his next words, though he failed, and returned her challenge in kind. “See how long you’ll last trying to hit me?” he goaded, the dignified tone of the Kazekage melting away as if to playfully deride her.
“No,” she refuted firmly, thought that sly expression still blessed her features. He could tell now that the sun hadn’t been the thing to kiss that color across her face, it had been a subtle flush across her skin, one that grew deeper when that smirk of his had slipped. Flushed or not, she was still fiery. “To see how long it takes me to hit you.”
Another unexpected outcome of his morning, another smirk he felt pull at his features, and this time she did break her gaze away from him, brushing her hair behind her ears and attempting to downplay her blush.
“Well,” he said, his tone casual. “Let’s go.” He began walking off to a more distant end of the training grounds, an area he specifically hadn’t set aside for visitor use.
She followed quickly after him, he could feel the steps she took atop the sandy earth, and he wondered how someone as petit and light of foot as her thought to approach him with such a bold request. “I thought you were a busy man,” she said, not wanting to sound displeased but wanting to convey that, yes; she did in fact know that he had other – more important – things to attend.
“I am,” Gaara agreed, looking over to Sakura who came to walk in line at his side. Again, he tried a smirk, wanting to see if it gave her skin that same rouge as before. It had, and she’d yet again avoided his eyes for a second. “But I don’t believe that you’re a patient woman.”

Been crying alot lately not knowing why, nd now I can verbalise it, I need to type it down for the sake of my sanity.. I think its lots of trauma dumping, I'm sorry
I've seen a post ask about if you're an ace would u be in romantic relationships, and I have just thought about how I'm always revolted by these concepts since I was 6 years old.
Having been always groomed to be wed to one of my cousins or a rich somebody to be my highest achievements as it solely focuses on my private parts as my worth and my ability to contribute to the family's "Good reputation" and reap back benefits to.
But I knew, all along, if I was forced to be with someone, that will end me being on this earth or them if they tried going near me. And growing up, I always tried to accept that fact, accept that u need to be pure and clean and be good for wedding and basically enslaved to it, cuz that's all our still impoverished family can aspire to. And on top of the dark thing that happened to me, making me truly believe I have no worth in this world and have prayed to be taken to heaven before I hit puberty, and have tried pitiful attempts to leave it, untill i got faint access to Internet and stole the keys to the locked books, they themselves should have been reading, around 17 years old, found an only opening and escape to reality.
I remember, my refusal was all the firmer the more anyone tries to tell me all about the glamor of being an intimate house maid and the domestic abuse they gloss over that I personally have witnessed time and time again with every couple that visited or we went to. I always respond that i am already one to my guardian's with the same abuse minus the gross intimate part.
I didn't even understand why I hated it so much while everyone is doing it, and as young as 16.
I avoided alot of marriage offers thanks to my guardians being, in one good way, over protective. And me losing my mind every time they brought it up. Literal uncharacteristic melt downs and now they fear the subject after they finally snapped me after saying no for years wasn't enough of a respond.
I'm 30 and the latest offer was from a rich cripple who was willing to pay all my guardians debts and give them a farm. My guardians dream. They turned it down without consulting me.
I've always hated the concept of pairs joined by s*x and the s*x itself. And marriage as a whole never made sense to me, considering the developing world and its problems. But I understand it as a bond if its first and foremost was not for love, it was for safety— mental, financial and otherwise.
And where I come from, independence is supported by the family, you can not survive, work, do anything if you do not have a family, and specially if you assigned a certain gender. So basically, I lived in isolation for the majority of my life, in poverty, marriage seen as the only -allowed- way out.
And it's all stims from a so called religious teachings.. Alot in common in this world, who take it as a personality trait and use it to justify injustice. Even though most of the time they know nothing about it beside what they are told by their authority figures and operat in this world as superior to all others because they were told they r the true religion. I saw on TT a so called mus-girl complaining about her children being exposed to 'rainbow ppl' in school education and having the nerve to complain about it living as a foreigner welcomed to practice her religion in a western country and claims not to be hateful. And yes, Arab ppl call the community 'rainbow' which reeks of the phobia and condescension. Like their religion teaches them to be at peace with all and treat ppl how they like to be treated, yet they fail to apply that when they don't like or lack the emotional intelligence to understand others who are merely different, just different and existing, exactly like them. And they do believe God made everything, so he did make those people, so what their excuse to that? And they exsisted since tbe dawn of humanity. And funny thing is their religion tells them that God made humans different, and urges them to read, to wonder the earth and consider facts and if they don't know to ask who are knowledgeable, and their intentions matters more and if they did unjustly by anyone, who ever they are, they r not a true mus--. It obviously translate to just ask a man who knows nothing about science, empathy or common sense or notice the accumulating facts and only repeat a select few he is told at a religious house. Thinking seems to be a burden these people happily relinquish to others. Which irkes me to no end
I was told all the shit I endured is because it from gods teachings, and it should make me happy. I never stopped questioning if this is a bless then why I was never happy? And why I can't do as I am told
They beat me up when I drew, when I was rowdy and when what now i know is stimming, shaming it as an act of another religion, and it was the running joke in the whole family. Mental health was an immense shame and hush hush, and anyone who seemed to need it was judged to be just a lesser mus-- so they deserve all the pain and suffering they get
I was glad that lady was getting chewed by ppl who was responding to her, but one person said something that just made me burst into tears and I couldn't stopp crying lately..
She said she was a teacher that goes from school to school and stuff so she experienced alot of communities and she noticed the vast differences between children who's family love and support is unconditional and those who don't, they obviously tend to later thrive.
And thats the word..
Thrive
Besides our financial situation never changing to the better, everything else was in decline, my guardians health themselves relying on me even more, and my mental anguish exasperated to a point i barely see a point in life, daily.. I can barely draw now, something I did 24/7
Everything that I am I had to do deep research for just to know that there's nothing wrong with me or im not deserving punishments for. I am ace, I am a gentle Them, I am on the spectrum, and I am Mani..
I did everything I do now in secret and complete agony. I learned English to gave privacy, continued to draw cuz it was my only alive part, and posted online when I was forbidden completely to protect my art from being lost, had to swear that I was nit interacting with others. I lied and one of the few times I was found, I was beaten while a school friend was on the other line in a voice chat. I was more humiliated that my friend witnessed it than being caught.
I still have the deep fear and distrust, I can't deal with social things, having to keep guessing which social cues they are using and not to become a living status, leaving the house the mere thought if it alone is panic inducing, I can never feel safe and cant risk something that might bring any harm to me and my sibs, every few days I struggle not to just delete my whole exsistance online. I can't look at faces even in pictures and if I did or need to I have to mentally prepare myself for so long. I literally had to convince my guardians that I can have a credit card so I can "learn" to do stock shi then used it to have PP and one day i got commissioned, and only when that happened I was able not to keep it a secret. And in its place now I feel the pressure when I can't provide or won't
The rest I still have no luck, I bearly managed to tell them recently that I suspect that I am on the spectrum, reading alot about it lately and it explains even things I couldn't. The nearest I managed to tell them that I am ace and what it is is that I started by saying I find who we are suppose to be wed to disgusting and I already living that glamorous stay at home shi nd co-raising 5 siblings they know very little about. They said fine but don't go saying that out loud cuz God says that marriage is the greatest bless but I won't force u ever.
I just feel my life force almost over, while I experienced nothing of life beyond isolation and constant need, so i cant thrive in anything.. Everything I wanted to do I begged to try was denied cuz either of my privates or cuz we were poor. I wanted to be athletic and do sports but there was no such thing as a second gender sports around. I wanted to be and still wish I could be, a wrestler. Unsurprisingly WWE was my inspiration and practiced as serious as a kid could, having what I believed a super pain tolerance cuz I never cried as I was beaten. I was cut from even watching it because it was "shameful " all of a sudden. Later I understood it was because everyone was shirtless and it was s*xulised by them. Everything became the same later, everything I drew or expressed feared to be s*xual and or homo nd I was punished over, I literally drew dying ppl and bromance alot at first. And they just projected their assumptions on me. I understood later and still can't bear the thought that ppl can project s*x into anything, and it never clicked in my mind because of what I am. And that was their biggest fear. I drew things cuz I saw them beautiful, and they only saw it as vulger, because they can't help but hyper s*xualize everything or assume it being so even with clear indications. Something that happened online too, tumblr nd tt, so it triggers me horribly
Something ace i also realised there's a word for (forgotten ittt ugh)— even though s*x and its mention is completely revolting to my person and I can have no relation to it. I can still enjoy it as a fictional concept, as entertainment, if u will, specially in a muse of two characters I enjoy. So drawing it is fun and exciting and enrichs my naughty side. Until I finish it and I never want to see it again cuz I'm not super good at it yet heh
In my mind, I can love and treasure who ever platonicly, and our bonds does not have to direct our paths in life. My romance is bromance, and meaning I will do everything to make my bestie happy, and my biggest wish is to live like tintin, in a mansion and everyone can be free to go on adventurous escapades, like getting coffee. ( i never done that, so
And this is something I wish to do with my siblings, if the stars were ever to align..
At least have Sherir with me.. puppets make me happy

Have you seen the owl house? If so, do you think it has good representation?
I have seen it, yeah! I enjoyed it too. As for its rep, I think it depends on what kind of rep you're looking for.
From a disability standpoint I think it's fine. I know a some people relate to Eda and later Lilith for how their curse reads more like a chronic disability and there's also the unintentional neuroexpansive portrayal of Luz.
It also manages to avoid a lot of the issues that generally come with treating curses like a form of disability that a lot of other media does. I'm a big fan of the episode where Eda's mother visits has to unlearn her ableism to be a better parent.
I think where it could be improved is in how it utilizes race with its characters. It's not a secret that the main villain is a cream cheese colonizing crusader and the Boiling Isles has several forms of white supremacist violence like:
It being a police state
branding the citizens with law, deception, and force to be killed with the coven sigils, a practice done to several real groups of oppressed people. Obviously not with magic tattoos, but I feel any work that centers heavily around its villain branding oppressed people to denote their status in society should be extremely cautious with how it handles a very real thing.
the control over the education system and information
the breakup of community and enforcing of individualism
declaring the cultural practices of the people native to the land impure and wicked
the colonization, etc.
So while the series focuses a great deal on taking out said cream cheese colonizing crusader, it frames his white supremacy in a way that assumes nearly every single white person complicit in that was "tricked" and immediately understands upon learning properly because Belos was this crafty manipulator who fooled everyone.
ToH imo is at its best when it gets Luz or others to challenge and dismantle the institutions around them and most of its greatest episodes I feel come from its strong cast when it doesn't have to orbit them around white characters. Luz, Camila, Gus, Willow, Eda, Raine, and Darius for example all solo everyone and are great. King is fun.
Luz in particular is really such a great protagonist that I feel strengthens a lot of the show and makes up for the aspects I didn't care for as much.
I don't really like the discourse around or even the term "redemption arc" because I don't feel it drives at the right questions, so it's not an issue of if I feel these characters deserve to be forgiven or not, but moreso how the Owl House provides a white fantasy in how white people can picture themselves as being alleviated of their white guilt and welcomed with largely open arms from non-white people because of it. My question is more "who is the intended audience?"
To give an example using a different show, one of my favorite Moon Girl episodes is the one where Lunella is belittled at school by a white girl because of her textured hair. They don't go on to give the white girl a backstory, they don't show her parental background or even give her a name. The focus is on Lunella dealing with desirability politics, texturism, and getting support from her friends and family to embrace her hair as it is.
It's not to say I hate the white cast or think they have nothing of value to offer. It's not lost on me that Hunter for instance is an abuse victim and a lot of people can identify with that struggle and him having to unlearn that behavior.
But at the same time the show goes back and forth on trying to do that and also having him wield state power. I'm not all that cool with him institutionalizing a bunch of girls and non-white kids, not listening when they say he's hurting them, then only coming around because he felt more sympathy for their animal companions, which ends up happening far more often in real situations than it should.
A lot of the Owl House when looked at that lens may have a lot of non-white characters in it, but they can sometimes feel like trophies for its white cast after they've been taught better. They do a great job of depicting numerous facets of colonial violence portrayed in an easily accessible way to younger viewers.
But it also feels ultimately in service of centering the rehabilitation of its white cast.
So I think "what audience is this intended for" is an important question to ask when evaluating representation in a work.

I’m flattered by the asks I’ve been receiving these last few days. And I love that it started happening during the Aquarius Moon this month, as my North Node is Aquarius, and I’m definitely looking to move more in a direction of supporting community however I can.
Fun fact though: I’m actually more of an astrology teacher than I am a chart reader. I do continue to welcome asks on different kinds of charts, from natal, to different types of transit charts, to synastry (solar returns aren’t even my specialty!). And the best questions for me are more specific ones. Especially if I’m gonna be having asks coming in more frequently and might not have time to devote to a mini analysis for a whole chart.
However, I believe that the most fulfilling way for me personally to support community when it comes to the astrological community, is to teach. For me, astrology has been a personal tool that I’m so grateful I learned for myself and can apply to my own spiritual journey. I believe this is a big part of why astrology has been spiritually healing for me, whereas most healing practices or insights that were delivered by a practitioner (particularly 6th house practitioners part of the mainstream medical system) were harmful or just not helpful.
I love the idea of assisting people one on one to a place in their astrology education where they feel confident enough about both knowing the information, and being in relationship with the Universe, that they can produce their own astrological insights in the context of experiences in their own lives. I do have a small amount of experience with teaching, as around a year ago, I gained a couple students from Twitter that I was giving weekly or every couple weekly one-one-one lessons via webcam to. (And I’ve taught a friend irl fairly in depth.) I think my students have had fun with me because it’s been a little bit like having a personal astrologer for them to keep coming back to… but my objective is to show them the process in how I reach the insights, and how they can start to reach insights by themselves.
Anyway, I’m starting to think it’s time to “open up the books” again with my astrology teaching. 💡 This is something I did free of charge with my first go around, as money is not in any way my motivation with this pursuit. An energetic exchange is important though, so doing this in the future, my policy is that I’d be willing to discuss whatever budget is realistic for someone, and also willing to discuss a trade if you sell any of your own services of products.
This isn’t yet my official advertisement and I’m not yet officially opening the books. Life feels quite chaotic (even though I feel blessed for my current spiritual mindset), so I’m going to need to wait at least until after this upcoming eclipse to put any teaching endeavors forward into motion again. And still at that point, I envision that I’ll only take on two students at a time, and might need a waitlist, as I’m feeling behind in other areas of my life, and it is really important for me to have the time and energy to give my best to anyone I’m teaching.
I’m intentionally not putting any hashtags on this post because my followers are people who already naturally saw something in me that resonated with them, without getting a reward for it, so y’all deserve to be the ones aware of this upcoming chance. If any of you find yourselves with questions about this or already find yourself thinking this is something you’d like to do, please let me know here as it will help me to assess my specific goals and plans moving forward with teaching again.
Cheers 🌞

POLL
The kindly attendant ushers you into the quantum pod and closes the door. They activate it, and a mere moment later you step out onto a space shuttle, landed on an alien world, a million lightyears away from home.
This world has a warm and welcoming climate, there is a thriving biosphere with nary a predator to cause you harm, and plenty of water, oxygen, and nutrients. The scanners report that, in fact, this system contains multiple planets that are hospitable or near-hospitable. It is, for all intents and purposes, paradise.
A ship had departed old Earth, and, on account of the speed of light proving utterly impenetrable, travelled for millions of years to this new place. No human could ever survive in hypersleep for that long - so the quantum pod carried the entanglement of a person and simply created a new identical person here, memories included. You feel as though you stepped in a pod on Earth and exited here, when in reality you were born mere seconds ago.
This landing shuttle is humble: a living space and a workroom. But in the orbit of this world is the mothership that carried you here, and it contains enough of all possible resources to last hundreds of people hundreds of years, and several cargo shuttles to deliver you anything you may need at any time.
The workroom contains three main things. The first is a quantum archive, which contains every work, every patent, every instruction, every piece of knowledge ever accumulated by contemporary humanity (or, the humanity of several million years ago). The second is a fabricator, with which you can fabricate any thing recorded in the archive (which, again, is every thing it is possible to manufacture) that is within one metre cubed, simply by providing resources that can be summoned from the mothership. Or, if it is larger than one metre cubed, you can fabricate its components and build it yourself. The third is the quantum pod.
You remain quantumly entangled. Delightfully, whenever you die, your memories and consciousness will continue in a newly created body. But there is a catch - this method can only resolve you of immediate, life-ending injuries. Should you suffer something severe but non-fatal, or become ill with a disease such as cancer, the qpod will always return the ailment to you. The only way of dealing with such medical needs is with medical attention, and you are the only human within a million lightyears. There is medicine and treatments enough to cure you of anything, even ageing and death, but you cannot administer them alone. With no one to help you, you will simply age and ail and die.
You will need help. You will need a team, you will need other people. There’s a neat trick you can do with the quantum pod: you can create another you. You can create another identical copy of the person who entered the pod on Earth all those years ago. And you can create another. And you can create another.
You can create enough people to get a small community of yous. What’s more is, because of the quantum archive, each of you can learn any possible skill, and specialise. You have all the information you need, so given time and patience, eventually you’ll have a version of every professional it’s possible for you to train as. You can create a society, a civilisation. You can become educators to make education easier, and given the educators have a total understanding of their students, they should do a good job of it. The different yous would probably start giving themselves new identities to differentiate themselves. You’ll slowly drift and become every different you you could ever be, a wide gamut of personalities, preferences and even genders. Given all people here have the same sex cells, sexual reproduction is impossible (and besides, that would be inbreeding), so quantum cloning is the only way of creating new pairs of hands.
But remember: the mothership only contains enough resources to last hundreds of people hundreds of years. Complex society needs complex systems needs more people: if there becomes too many of you, you’ll start to run dry. So you need to become self-sufficient. You need a version of you to become an expert in everything it is possible to be an expert in. The fabricator can give a you tools but a you has to use them. The archive has information on everything but a you has to learn it. You need farms, mines, and factories, and while you have all the technology and information required to create and operate efficient, sustainable and futuristic systems, you need to set yourself to the hard task of learning and training and being one of everything.
So, should you decide to create an entire civilisation consisting of yous and only yous:

September MC & OCs of the Month - Special Edition: Kennedy Grant
Tumblr media
Help us in welcoming September's MCs and OCs of the month! That's right, plural! Most months, CFWC highlights one randomly selected MC or OC from our Meet My MC / OC List. (More info here.) But this month, we're doing something different.
In August, @lilyoffandoms hosted a Writers Appreciation Month, and we announced the September Writer of the Month would be selected from its participants. But all participants agreed - Lily deserved the honor! Still, we wanted to do something nice for the eleven writers who elected to participate to help uplift other writers in the fandom. So, this month, each of the eleven participants will have one of their MCs or OCs highlighted.
We will introduce each MC / OC individually, and once all eleven have been highlighted, a masterlist for the month will be created. We hope you enjoy getting to know all about them!
The eight MC of the Month is @mydemonsdrivealimo's Kennedy Grant!
Learn more about Kennedy below...
In your words, tell us what you like most about your MC.
What I like most about Kennedy is their “do it scared” mentality. They can put on a brave face for Rutherland, and they have the physical confidence, but when it comes to big, impactful decisions, they tend to second guess. Even if they’re stressed, or worried, or anxious, or scared, they still do it, no matter what it is. While they do put a lot of pressure on themself in this sense, in the end they are proud of what they’re able to do because of it.
Do you feel your MC is like you at all? How are you alike or different?
I would say I’m not really like Kennedy, but we do have similarities when it comes to academics. Kennedy pushes himself very hard in school, always has, which is something I definitely relate to.
As for differences, Kennedy has a lot of the confidence that I don’t. They’re a smooth-talker with an outgoing presence, where I am most certainly the opposite. I admire and love writing that about them, but it’s not something I’d ever want for myself.
What is most important to your MC? What is their motivation in life?
For a long time, Kennedy would’ve said Rutherland; whether that be attending to their duties as the first child, keeping the peace with other countries, etc. etc. etc. But, as time goes on, they start to care a little more about themself. This is one of their best pairing points with Blaine. At first, the differences between the two of them set them apart, but as they got to know each other better, they started to appreciate those differences. Blaine doesn’t give two fucks about anyone forcing him this way or that, and isn’t going to start anytime soon. He helps Kennedy to focus on themself and their own wellbeing before trying to worry about an entire country.
As for their motivation, it’s making society more accepting. They know how crude people can be when it comes to interacting with those different from themselves, and spreading information in a positive view is something they believe can remedy some of those rude and entitled people.
What are their biggest pet peeves/dislikes?
One of their biggest pet peeves is definitely people who choose to stay ignorant despite many resources available for more factual information. They’d never fault someone who doesn’t have the resources or time or money to access that information, but when there are other educated diplomats and politicians who outright refuse to accept facts into their rhetoric, they won’t put up with it.
If your MC could change one thing - anything - what would it be?
Making (accurate and factual) education more accessible for all. He handled a lot of those elements in his mom’s campaign/presidency, and it’s something he’d like to continue with.
What is your MC’s favorite quote or song?
After an embarrassing amount of time looking for the right song, I have to go with Dance by Clairmont the Second (which may or may not have been on my favs list all along, but anyway,,). It’s fun, it’s funny, and that’s exactly Kennedy’s style. They can be hard on themself, yes, but they’re happy to let it all go for the sake of a good time. They have a decently healthy balance of work and play, and something fun like that song fits them perfectly.
Is there anything else you’d like to share about your MC: (It can be why you created them, how they’ve inspired you, or you could write a little blurb as if it is coming from your MC - an acceptance speech. :) )
Joining the Choices fandom on Tumblr was absolutely why I got into further designing/exploring Kennedy’s character. I’ve loved them since I played Foreign Affairs, but seeing more creations/posts about it around Tumblr got me super inspired to further create and develop them. I’ve had a more fun design sitting around for them (compared to the bland-ass perfect-body copy-paste options Choices offers) and it’s exciting to be able to share more about them (even if the FA fandom isn’t very active).

People trying to use the LGBTQ+ community as a reason not to support Palestine is disgusting. The way they say this with their whole chest as if they think that's an actual, valid excuse as to why you shouldn't support innocents being carpet bombed is diabolical.
"You'd get stoned if you went to Palestine!!" Do you realise how out of touch and delusional you sound? Where did you get this information from? Where are the statistics and data charts to prove it? Or is this just a racist assumption that you've created based on your views of Muslims, Arabs and Middle Eastern countries? Homophobic people live and thrive in every single country, no matter how progressive they claim to be.
When the news of October 7th first came out and Zionists were rushing over to me with this excuse, I said "why is that relevant?" Now that I am more educated on the matter and history, I see people still using this excuse and now I ask "why is that relevant?" Stop using our name in vain. Stop pretending that you actually care about us. What you are doing and saying is not only hurting and further isolating the Palestinians and their suffering, it is also making our community more vulnerable to hate and bigotry as you are making it seem that all queer people care about is ourselves and our comfortability.
There are multiple counter arguments to this. I've picked a handful of them to share with you.
Palestine doesn't have a government. I don't know where people got this idea that they do, but they don't. (To my knowledge from my own research) They have (had) systems and groups and organisations but they don't, and since occupation, have never had a legitimate government with different political groups that you can democratically vote for. There is the PA (Palestinian Authority) that holds some power in the West Bank, but they can't actually do anything and most of the Palestinians who live there say that they are a burden. ("What about Hamas- not a political group). So please explain to me how they are supposed to make pro-queer and trans laws if they don't have a government? Also, and I can't stress this enough, people are not their governments. To all the countries that say they stand with Israel, there are hundreds of thousands of people saying no we don't. Rishi Sunak, prime minister of the UK, stated that he stands with Israel and that he is going to send them aid to help them fight back and defend themselves. A week later, 500,000 people showed up in London to protest for a ceasefire and the rights and freedom of Palestinians. If you actually spent two seconds to listen to stories of queer people/couples that have visited the West Bank you will hear that to some, this was their most welcoming and accepting experience abroad, and to all, there was not a moment they felt scared or ashamed.
Is that really what they're meant to be prioritising right now? The comfort and safety of an American twink? The entrance to Al-Shifa Hospital, the largest hospital in Gaza which is holding reportedly 30,000 people who are injured or displaced, was bombed by Israeli airplanes, killing 15 and injuring 60. Two other hospitals holding thousands of people also experienced bombing around them. They have bombed bakeries, schools, refugee camps, one of the oldest standing churches in the world, as well as over 50% of all residential buildings and many, many more places. The death toll has risen to almost 10,000 including 4,000 children, and this isn't even including people who weren't killed by bombing. Israel has dropped more than 18,000 tonnes of explosives on Gaza, an area that is only 41km long and 6-12km wide. They had to use ice cream trucks to hold dead bodies because of how stuffed the morgues were, but now, their dead are being buried in mass graves where they are forced to preform improper funeral rituals. They have run out of food, water, clothes, medical supplies. Doctors are having to preform surgeries using an iPhone flashlight because electricity has been shut off. Doctors are having to use vinegar as antiseptics because they've run out. People are forced to get medical procedures done, to GIVE BIRTH, without any pain-killers. But yes, of course, while Israel is using white phosphorous bombs on them they are supposed to be thinking about what they can do to better their society.
There are queer Palestinians living in Gaza right now, and they are experiencing the exact same thing non-queer Palestinians are. Israel is not prioritising them, they are not making their bombs so they can detect who's gay so the bombs can avoid them, they are not moving them out of Gaza and to a 5-star hotel somewhere safer. Israel's aim is to eradicate ALL Palestinians. This includes the queer ones. And they are crawling and screaming and begging, bloodied and bruised, for you to listen to them and support them and help them, yet you turn a blind eye and cover your ears while continuing to yell about the rights and lives of queer people.
Who told you that Israel is a queer friendly country with queer friendly laws? The Jerusalem Post, a news outlet in Israel, reported that in 2022 anti-queer hate crimes increased by 11% since 2021. Here is the link, which provides more information on homophobic crimes in Israel in 2022. Israel hasn't legalised gay marriage or gay adoption and a survey done in 2023 shows that 43% of Israelis strongly oppose gay marriage. What part of that is queer friendly? What part of that screams "gay haven"?
Pinkwashing has been used for decades to try and justify the genocide in Palestine. Don't let it get to you. Your activism shouldn't be conditional. If you actually think that bringing queer progressiveness into a conversation about colonisation and genocide is appropriate and a good thing, you should be thoroughly ashamed. Free Palestine means freeing ALL Palestinians.
