Can I interest you in some guppy Black Pearl art in these trying timez? (with a hint of Grand Reef Cookie, of course!)
believe it or not, I had these doodled before the update! Granted, bp was colored slightly different than now, but it's easy to fix that with pixels~!
Frankly my ideas on how my shining grandpapa Grand Reef haven't changed much! In fact, I think the conformation that bp has (or had) sisters helps me! All that really changed is that merbabies leave the reef at a certain age to go with their pod of siblings to their kingdom and be a good citizen or whatnot-
AND BECAUSE I'M ME~
Yes, I know logistically there is no way in HELL these two would have ever met as kids; But that's what AUs are fooooooooor~~~~ SO SHUSHH

god ppl trying to claim jasons "we're the not so different you and i" villain speech to mia WASNT incredibly unsubtle subtext... that they went through the same trauma... like he says theyre alike. she says he knows nothing about her. he lists what he knows. and then he repeats that they're alike.
that's only barely subtext and not text itself, man. trying to argue that isn't the intention that jason was also a csa victim is just willful misreading at that point

After one last trip to gather information, it's finally time to fetch our first relic and move on from Parish-by-the-Expanse!
This quest was super easy; Magic Man has wings, so even though he has the "snail's pace" trait, he could fly in and out super fast to grab the relic before he and Laursen jumped on their dirtbikes and rode home. M.M. did get a little bit bruised from a mechanoid, but I'm sure he'll be fine.
Look, I know that arming children makes them a target for raiders. Plus, being part biliog and part cat-girl, it's highly likely Dire Wolf will have an atrocious melee ability when she grows up, but the joke was right there, and I couldn't help myself.
Don't worry, though. Dire Wolf is not the only child walking around with a weapon. Pro will make the T'au Empire proud with her new masterwork pulse carbine, I'm sure of it!

every single time you stress out about your taxes, or your rent, or your debt, or your mortgage, or your car payment, or your medical bills, or climate change, or your stress over having to work and just do basic things like eating----- remember that if you have children, *you are directly responsible** for them feeling all of that suffering and stress and pain when they grow up.

Why did they create such a useless character to show Cinder's backstory when Salem is literally right there AND the real question the audience wants answered???
Imagine if it had been Salem who stayed at the hotel and saw something of herself in the scrappy servant girl. She saw how the Madame treated little Cinder and offered a way out only if Cinder has the power to be useful to her. Maybe she put Cinder to a test of how far she was willing to go for freedom, or maybe Salem wanted something from the Madame that she wouldn't give so it was up to Cinder to provide
Either way, Salem gets a young disciple that's ruthlessly ambitious and easy to manipulate and Cinder gains the illusion of freedom under a new master

Hobie Brown is a full grown adult btw please stop shipping him with 15 year olds.
"In an interview with the Director of Across the SpiderVerse Kemp Powers, he states that Hobie is 19~20 years old."
All the teens mention school or parents in some way in their introduction, even spider-byte/Margo who is in the movie for like 5 minutes total. Hobie instead mentions his old job and does not mention family or school.
In the comics Hobie is: roughly the same height as his friends, owns a van, and is in charge of a community center. In the movie Hobie is: roughly the same height as the other adult spidermen but much taller than the other teens.
All the adult characters treat the teens as if they are teens. They call them kid repeatedly and their lectures are aimed at guiding them to making better decisions. Hobie is treated as a weirdo who should know better, not treated as a kid. They don't try to explain things to him because they assume he knows.
The teens treat Hobie like an older sibling or mentor, not an equal. They ask him for advice and look up to him. He also calls Miles a "young'un" which would not make sense if they were all roughly the same age.
Miles stopped feeling jealous of Hobie the minute Hobie took off his mask, on account of the fact that Hobie has permanent forehead wrinkles, smile lines and no teen pudge on his cheeks and is clearly an adult friend rather than competition.
