Nazaré, Portugal - famous for the 100 foot wave. Surfers from around the world come here for the 30 m waves (24.4 m is the largest wave surfed). Navaré is located between Porto and Lisbon (about 100 km north of Lisbon) on the Atlantic coast. I spent the day here with Jan on my way from Porto to Lisbon.
The village is like two villages, the one on the beach and the one on the hill (O Sitio). On the hill is the old town, the fort, a swing with breathtaking beach views, and a view of the surfers' beach. We took the funicular (5€ return) to the top of the hill but walking the stairs was an option. Jan stopped and swung over the city before going for lunch. For lunch we stopped at a delicious curry restaurant, Restaurante Mili.
Men and women still wear traditional clothing. My wife, Jan, stopped and bought some snacks from a local woman. Note that Jan is on the right and her attire, not so traditional.
The beach in Navaré is both wide and deep with plenty of soft sand to set up camp for the day (or an afternoon). It's a Blue Flag beach with plenty of room for sun bathers, surfers, volleyball, soccer (football) and just plain fun. A Blue Flag beach is a beach awarded for pure water, clean coasts, safety and accessibility for all.
Nazaré is a village with a rich fishing heritage. The old fishing boats have long since been replaced by modern fishing vessels. On the beach we found old fishing boats preserved to help tell the story of the area.
There was plenty of seafood available in the restaurants, including a seafood stew. On the beach, we found dried fish, a long standing tradition in Nazaré. We bought some for 1 € and tried it - better than expected.
We spent just one night but I wish that we had enough time to spend 2-3 days. More time at the beach and more time at the cafés and restaurants would have been great. Maybe I would have taken a surf lesson??

I'm advancing in my cartoons
but for now, let's see the story of football/soccer

My home when growing up was really close to this school that had a sports schedule and everything. In order to join, you also joined in a sports thing of your choice.
Now, the first try-outs were for swimming. If you were too small or frail, you didn't have to do swimming, you could join the diving group instead. But in retrospect, that group was considered like the runt of the whole classroom, it was seen as a bad thing to be part of it. And why? Cause you mostly didn't do anything that we've heard...they just sat by their own separate pool and dove in the water whenever! And took breaks and then out they go and jump again!
But I was never part of that group, I was in the swimming thing instead with a coach and everything. And the first one I had took a liking to me but in general, to other kids, not so much.
So we did the actual swimming.
The whole school is a big deal nationally and internationally. It is the school that the first gymnast in the Olympics who got her first 10 and broke the score board thing went to! It's also the school where other athletes went to and it's not so much a school as much as it's a high school (at the other type of college level - that doesn't have the same meaning abroad, as a term - but locally it means it's a REALLY good and advanced high school).
I went there from ages 6 till 14 years old. After 14, I went to a Bilingual English high school that was known for that specific thing (the Bilingual schedule). I had a choice when I finished, if I wanted to continue doing sports (ages 6 - 10) or whether the Intensive English programme I was in the same sports high school (ages 10 - 14) counts for anything to me and my future!
And it did: I understood that if I pick an Art high school (for example), I'll be so limited, I won't be able to handle life and shit (cause they don't teach the rest of the subjects well enough). When high schools specialise, they truly forget about the rest of the subjects!
So originally I was gonna go to a different high school that had an English Bilingual class profile but Andreea overheard me talk about that - just like she's gonna overhear me talking about going to study abroad around these ages 16 - 17, so she just flat out stole my high school of choice ahead of time and then the studying abroad choice!
But in the mean time, they removed the Bilingual class in Andreea's high school and replaced it with a Spanish one so I finally noticed the WHOLE HIGH SCHOOL that was completely made to be Bilingual! (I had went there before, during a human anatomy competition and I got hit by a very strange feeling as though I had been there before but I didn't know anything about it or understood the reason for the overwhelming feeling).
Either way, these high schools are some of the top ones in Bucharest and in the country.

So I left the sports school eventually, but I never stopped my habits connected to it.
That sports school had gymnasts, tennis players, swimmers (and any other pool sport), football players, basketball players etc.
It didn't really matter which sport you were doing, cause you were always challenged to pass through the school yard WITHOUT getting hit by a ball! It was like a minefield of some sorts, trying to cross from one end to the other of either of the school yards: the one in the front was huge and had both a volleyball square and a basketball court, the one in the back had a football field and the one next to the dorm (where kids would stay sometimes after their sports schedule) was up for grabs! (you could play whatever you wanted there, but most kids chose football)

And this is the part where me, as a young girl noticed them playing, while waiting outside of the dorm (it would be hours until Nela picks me up).
You think I would have liked them playing but they were a mess! I hated watching them: it's like they were emulating the football players they watched on TV and sure enough the Stadium (and the future National Area) was but 5 minutes away from said high school and 5 minutes away on the other side from where I lived - and why I heard the Rolling Stones playing really loud this one time!
But I didn't mention how many times I've also heard the word "goooooooal" shouted by anyone and anything that was watching or was part of the game that was going on in that Stadium that I lived closed to! And that was that close to the school!
So there were these Bucharest main teams that were always seen dropping by, whenever they passed by (Steaua, Dinamo or Rapid - the main ones), nevermind the actual National team!
And you could tell how much these kids wanted to be the adults around them (first their dumb parents) and then suddenly...they're emulating adults on TV that are football players! (while playing football!)
And I watched them playing like them with their mannierisms instead of playing football for real and I loathed them! (cause I know they're bitches and bullies in general because they're learning something from their parents: they're really scarred individuals!) But now this thing extended to football players!
They were completely disorganised! They didn't have a ball but a bottle, though they could get one at some point! They were shouting and running, as though they were actors and not football players - mind you: just because EVERYONE is forced to do sports, doesn't mean EVERYONE is gonna be good at them!
They were sweating and they were running and they couldn't make the number of the team players correctly at all! (too many in one group for example) And they were SO INVESTED (as though this was their pretend time!)
And I was like...you know, I'd love to join this type of game because it does look like fun (all that running) and the girls near by are playing pretend with tea cups and shit and leaves are food according to them! (so I'm definitely NOT joining their pretend game - even if they don't get me) but my God, YOU ALL SUCK TOO! (the boys' pretend game: football)
I end up never joining the girls anyway, the boys were too stupid to play correctly and so I went upstairs and did all my homework in advance instead - so that when I get home I'd be free instead!
And I did this many times in a row, to the point where the supervisor there was asking me if I'm sure I don't wanna join the kids playing outside. And I was very sure!
...but meanwhile, during those years, a cartoon about playing football correctly was made through me and for me, the way I saw it should be played at that age! 😏

Corypheus is a history teacher that got fired the previous year thanks to the help from Varric and Hawke. He's the type of teacher to never give an A ever.
Justina is a history teacher that was already with the school and was taking over Corypheus's classes. She was the student advisor to Cassandra and Leliana
Ilan is a freshman, new to the school.
Everyone else has been around for at least a full year
Solis is a senior, ready to graduate but is being forced by family into a job\career he hates so keeps flunking on purpose
Sera is a rebellious student. Knows college is important but also dumb. Blocks poor people from gaining higher knowledge due to high costs. IT major, self taught hacker. Is also in Dance.
Bull is the football captain, team is the Chargers. He's that one student that sleeps in class but does good in tests. Can smell food anywhere in the room. Real name is Gary but no one knows but Krem
Krem is co captain. Loyal to bull. Is trans but only Bull knows
Cassandra is a Basketball player, was with the volleyball team but a scandal happened that forced her to leave.
Cullen is also a basketball player, was in soccer but left when issues rose
Leliana is a close friend of Cassandra and Josephine
Cole a psych major. Quiet. Knows things he shouldn't, it's just people talk around him, not knowing he's there.
Vivienne is a cheerleader. Hospitality and tourism major
Dorian is attending Fereldan college to spite his family of Tevinter College alumni
Varric failed History before with Corephyus. With help from Hawke, determined and proved the Corypheus was an unfair teacher and got him fired. Varric is in the school news paper. Uses it as an excuse to harass Cassandra and Cullen

Plot
On moving in day, as Ilan is walking to the dorms, noticed Justina getting in her car. Ilan could see someone else near the car shortly before car exploded.
Ilan was knocked out by the explosion, shrapnel hitting her, breaking and scarring her hand.
Corypheus was hired back on as the History teacher as the school was desperate for a replacement teacher.
The group share the history class together.
They create a study group to try and best Corypheus and get a passing grade
Solis knows all the answers but doesn't care as he doesn't want to graduate.
Varric is furious as Corypheus is supposed to be fired.
Cullen, Cassandra, and Leliana knows something is fishy with Justina's death and believe Corypheus is to blame
As the year goes on, Cullen finds out the soccer team has been doping on a drug called red.
With secrets heard from Cole, they find out it is a teacher.
Sera and her team of hackers find footage of a man messing with Justina's car shortly before the explosion
The scandal with volleyball team is Cassandra found out the team had been cheating to win.
As the study group does well, Corypheus gives harder and harder questions that would stump even history majors so that it is near impossible to succeed
Varric names his laptop Bianca. Sera hacks everyone's computers, including Bianca.
She doesn't harm the computers really, usually actually doing virus protect, but adds a code where everytime you type a group members name, a picture of the person will pop up.
At first the pictures are the worst, mid sneeze, picking noses, asleep drooling. As they become better friends, the pictures become nicer.
Except Vivienne. No matter what Sera does, she can't get a bad picture of Vivienne. This drives Sera crazy.
Sera's picture is of course her sticking her tongue out and flipping off the camera.
When she finds out who has a crush on who, she changes the picture into something scandalous.
First is Varric, Everytime he types Cassandra or Cullen, a picture of them pops up, hot and sweaty after a game\working out, abs exposed. Nothing X rated but definitely risque.
He bursts in screaming, "what did you do to Bianca!?" Sera acts innocent and clueless. Varric fuming, "I hate you! But thank you! Don't touch Bianca again!" And storms off
Sera giggles and whispers to herself, "you're welcome"
When Bull gets his computer updated with nice pictures of Dorian, as a thank you, Bull introduce Sera to his sister Carol.
Carol is just as big and beefy as Bull. Sera can't think straight, says dumb things, "so if he's a Bull, does that make you a Cow?... Wait no.. that's not what I meant" and runs off flustered. Luckily for Sera, Carol is morosexual lol
No one knows how Sera gets these pictures, she only says Jenny took them for her.
Someone tries to out Krem.
Everyone backs up Krem immediately
Bull "I share a locker room with him. Trust me, he's a man"
Dorian "I sucked his dick"
Vivienne "He was an excellent lover"
Cole "that's a human male"
Cassandra goes on an angry rant
Rumors of Krem being a woman quickly drop.
Krem doesn't know how to feel, he knows his friends love and protect him, but wish some were more discreet.
By the end of the year, as a group, they find out that Corypheus was selling Red to the students. Justina found out and was going to report him to the college and police. Before she could, he blew up her car.
As they graduate of the following years, they stay close and create a reach out organization that helps the children of drug addicts. The children can stay there as their parents get clean or until the child feels safe after a parent has OD'ed.
Cole is the main therapist. Ilan is the head of the school. Vivienne and Dorian helps with fund raisers and advertising.
Josephine is the secretary, helping Ilan with appointments and obligations.
Most become teachers, occasionally help with therapy treatments with Cole's supervision.

“You didn’t have to walk me home.”
“I mean I’m pretty sure you were invited to at least three different after parties.” JJ continues, turning towards Elle. The two of them were walking home from the last football game of the season. Their last one ever, senior year finally upon them.
“Parties that I’m not even remotely interested, seeing as how you’re not gonna be there.” Elle’s hair tossing over her shoulder as she looks at JJ. Her silky brown hair, curly and damp after tonight’s game.They’re natural, sitting just below Elle’s shoulders, framing her face perfectly. JJ’s always liked the curls.
Truth be told, JJ’s liked just about everything concerning Elle Greenaway, since the day she looked out her bedroom window to see a U-Haul truck parked outside, a young girl moving boxes into the house across the street in November of junior year. It didn’t help that Elle happened to be a star soccer player at her old school, and their similar interests meant JJ and her had 5 classes together. Or that she wore the same vanilla perfume single day, a scent JJ couldn’t get out of her head.
But it was when Elle really started being close with her, the two of them practically joined at the hip, that JJ’s innocent infatuation turned deeper. When they started going to practice together, getting lunch, meeting up outside of school. Sleepovers in JJ’s bed, their legs intertwined under the heavy quilt she uses as a comforter. She can still remember the first night the two of them shared the same bed, facing each other with their hands folded under their heads. The following morning brings the brutal news to JJ’s heart, that she has the biggest crush on her best friend. A crush that’s only intensified as the months go by, to the point where JJ finds herself both wanting to be around Elle constantly, and wishing the brunette was far away from her as to prevent further heartbreak. But Elle was irresistible, and JJ couldn’t avoid her even if she wanted to. So she shoved it down, deep down into her stomach, convincing herself that she and Elle could be friends. Just friends.
Only ever friends.
The ever so prominent fact that Elle still thought JJ was dating somebody only made matters worse.
She wasn’t wrong to think so, considering up until three days ago, JJ had been in a steady relationship with Will Lamontagne. The charming country boy, Will came to their school just a couple months before Elle did, and him and JJ hit it off like nobody else. He was sweet, unassuming, and treated her with nothing but respect. From the moment he met her parents, Mr & Mrs. Jareau have been daydreaming over their future wedding. Everybody expected them to make it, the one couple from high school to go the distance, stick it out to the inevitable end. Half the town’s got bets on them getting married right after graduation.
But Will wasn’t clueless, and JJ had never been the best at hiding her emotions. After all, there was a reason they worked so well together for so long. He may not be her great love, but he knew her and her feelings, a fact that kept JJ with him for almost a year. Despite how much he loved her, and he did love her, Will knew it wasn’t reciprocated, and JJ was never going to break his heart. Nothing surprised her more than to see him at her doorstep that Tuesday afternoon, a medium-sized cardboard box in his hands.
Her volleyball sweatshirt hanging over the edge, a picture of the two of them at homecoming sticking out of the box. The overwhelming sorrow she could feel radiating from him as he broke up with her already made her feel awful, but it was the sincerity in his voice when he told her to be with who truly makes her happy that broke her. A pointed look ,silently telling her that he knows, brings tears to her eyes and forces her arms to wrap tightly around his neck. Twisting her hands in his shirt and breathing in the smell of aftershave and pine that always came Will, JJ loved him more in that moment than she ever could remember in the 8 months they’ve been dating.
Which brings her back to the present, where she finds Elle looking at her strangely, a nervous yet curious look on her face. Which unnerves JJ, considering Elle isn’t nervous about anything. She’s always been the more confident, teetering on brash, one of the pair. “I found out something interesting today,” Elle starts, “Apparently somebody broke up with their long term boyfriend this week and neglected to tell me.” Her mildly accusing tone caused JJ to stop and turn fully towards Elle. “I figured it wasn’t important,” she shrugs, “ I wasn’t heartbroken and we had a busy week to focus on anyway.”
“You guys dated for nine months, this is practically a divorce.” Elle laments, looping her arm through JJ’s and leaning into the blonde, “Obviously you’re feeling something about this, and I want to be there for you.” Her voice turns soft at the end, and JJ finally meets Elle’s eyes, the care and love in her face shining.
The love JJ can see Elle has for her is almost stifling, stealing her breath and making her heart ache. What she would give to have that love mirror hers, for Elle to want the same things JJ’s wanted for the past year. The two of them stare into each other’s eyes, stopped in the middle of the sidewalk, and JJ can smell the strong scent of Elle’s trademark icebreakers. She could've sworn Elle glanced down at her lips when her tongue poked out and swiped against them, glossing over the cracks caused by the impending winter. Whatever was happening between them ended almost as soon as it began, a fleeting moment that passed far too quickly for JJ’s taste.
“So don’t bottle it up and tell me next time,” Elle says, giving JJ an exaggerated eye roll, following up with a large grin across her face as she starts to pick up speed. JJ lags behind her, not ready to go home just yet. They still reach her house in no time, and JJ finds herself desperate for more time with her, just the two of them in their own little bubble separate from the world. She gradually slows as they approach her walkway, JJ hoping she doesn’t have to say anything, that Elle will just know what she wants.
“You wanna go to the park?” Elle suddenly says ,the words ones that JJ desperately wanted to hear. She nods feverishly, her cheeks heating up as Elle slides her hand down her arm, grasping JJ’s. The pair walk in relative silence, Elle’s soft hands fitting perfectly into her own, their shoulders pressed together as they march towards the tiny playground in their cul-de-sac. It’s only when they’re sitting side by side at the top of the slide when Elle finally spits out what JJ can tell she’s been waiting to say all evening.
“ Why are you so okay about this?” At JJ’s surprised face Elle backtracks, “ I mean if you dated for so long and you loved each other then how are you so okay about it? It took me a good month to get over my last girlfriend, and we weren’t half as serious as you and Will.”
JJ sighs, the words on the tip of her tongue since the breakup really settled in, “ I guess I just wanted something more, I mean Will is a great guy, but I want to feel more than just complacent in a relationship, you know?” JJ lets out a small huff at the end, her breath clouding up in front of her. “ I felt so guilty about it, but I never,” she pauses, an odd sense of vulnerability she’s scared to give in to settling inside of her, “ I never yearned for Will. I mean, he was there and he made me happy, but I would be completely okay without him.”
“I just want someone I can’t live without, someone who I want to be with always.” Finally letting out what she’s been thinking this entire week, she’s surprised to see Elle sitting closer, her hands in both of JJ’s.
“You want passion.”
Elle turns her entire body towards JJ, keeping their hands intact as she stares into the blonde’s eyes.
“You want someone who can’t be replaced.” JJ can’t look away, even as she feels Elle’s hands slide up her arm. Her breath starts coming quicker, and she can feel her hair getting pushed back by Elle’s slender fingers as they get impossibly closer.
“You deserve to be completely in love with whoever you’re with JJ. You deserve the best.” Elle sliding her hand closer to the back of JJ’s head, their noses grazing each other. “You think so?” JJ’s voice a small whisper she slides her fingers towards Elle’s waist, her heart near beating out of her chest. The insecure part of her brain convincing her that this was a dream, one of the many she’s had about her best friend.
But then Elle leans in that last inch, cradling JJ’s head in her hand, and there was no doubt in her brain that this was real. Cause Elle’s lips were just as soft as they looked, and they moved against JJ’s in a gentle yet all-consuming way that wiped away everything from her mind except this moment. JJ could taste the fruitiness of Elle’s raspberry gum, and the peach slushie they shared during halftime was still faint in her mouth. It’s like everything she was missing out on, all the emptiness she felt when with Will, was getting filled to the brim by Elle and her kisses, overwhelming JJ in the most addictive way.
When they finally separate, small pants the only sound they can hear as their foreheads touch, something akin to fear strikes through JJ. The knowledge that nothing is ever going to be the same between them hitting her like a freight train.
“ I do,” followed by a chaste peck, “ Of course I do.” And Elle’s grinning at her, trailing her long fingers through JJ’s hair, easing every single worry she could possibly have.

This has to be one of the hottest days yet, thought Levi as he looked out the window in Erwin’s office. He was slightly irritated by the golden yellow rays that were placing fire kisses on his form, making his charcoal black hair warm up to astronomical temperatures, his clothes suddenly too suffocating and his skin flush on areas such as his arms and cheeks. Outside those that were actually able to participate in training, would frequently stop to pour buckets of water over their head to cool off, their shirts long discarded and pants cuffed over the knees. The others that had given up, would rest under trees, basking in the shade or close to the building’s walls in the shade propagated by the roof. Erwin was sitting at his desk, completing the last set of documents for the day. The commander was by no means in a better state than anyone. His shirt was unbuttoned completely, exposing his muscular body, its sleeves cuffed just above the elbows. His hair was messily hanging over his forehead, where small beads of sweat would rest and trickle down his face. Levi grimaced, completely fed up of the intense smell of sweat oozing from his husband and the state in which the barracks and the soldiers where in, and stood up. The raven made his way to the desk at which the older man was absorbed completely in his work.
“Right, that’s enough.” Levi said, pulling Erwin out of his work. The blonde looked up and raised an eyebrow. “We need to do something about the heat.”
“And what do you propose?” Erwin rested his head in his hands, rubbing at his temples. “Please also keep in mind that I have not finished the documents yet.”
“Fuck your documents. That’s all you’ve been doing since we eradicated the titans, there’s no more work for us anymore and I’m sure the papers can wait for a while more. I think it’s time to enjoy the outside world, don’t you think?” Levi came behind Erwin and started massaging his shoulders.
“Yes. So this means…?” Erwin turned his head to look up at him, encouraging him to continue.
“I think we should go to the beach: me, you, Mike, Nanaba, Hange, Moblit, my squad, and those fetuses from the 104th. We worked hard, we did a good job. Even Reiner, Bertholdt, and Annie are on our side now. It’s time to enjoy the fruits of our labour.” Levi proposed, giving Erwin a soft smile reserved just for him in their private moments. The older of the two furrowed his eyebrows and turned his head in thinking. After a moment, he let out a long and loud exhale, relaxing his shoulders completely, and turned to the raven reciprocating the same warm smile. With a slow nod, Erwin then told Levi, whose expression lit up like a Christmas tree: “Yes, I believe you are right. Please go announce the others and tell them to meet in 30 minutes at the front gate with their swimsuits and towels and whatever else they need in their bags. Do you want the blue or the green trunks?”
“Green.” Said Levi as he pecked Erwin’s cheek in appreciation, then made his way out the door.

Exactly 30 minutes later everyone gathered up at the gate, beaming with excitement, the sweat and dry heat in which they were engulfed moments ago long forgotten and replaced with visions of refreshing baths. Hange and Moblit displayed the biggest bags out of them all, stuffed to the brim with diving gear, and if their horses’ annoyed neighs and occasional stomping of foot was anything to go by: not at all light. Well, if it was for research then everything went through. Nanaba was the most relaxed out of them all as she didn’t have to carry, her bag in Mike’s possession, like the gentleman he was. Although, not only was he carrying her stuff but he also had a mini cooker secured in the back of his saddle, which was giving him a hard time, but he would do anything her and extra load was nothing for him. A year ago he had to carry so much more during battles and under more strenuous conditions.
The beach to which they went last year had been transformed into a port to encourage trade with other countries, so Erwin took up on Hange’s suggestion of visiting a new place they’d found while on patrol a few weeks before. The beach was beautiful, bushes and palm trees circling it then fading into white and smooth sand. The water was pristine and crystalline, the turquoise blending seamlessly into darker blues, hinting the constant increase in depth. The sun shone even more brightly than before as early morning had long passed, the afternoon now in full bloom. The impact it had on their skin was ebbed by the chilly breeze coming from the sea, ruffling their hair, clothes, and cloaks. As soon as they arrived, everyone unpacked and took off their clothing, leaving nothing but their bathing suits on.
After the initial excitement had passed and everyone had their share of refreshing baths, splashing in the sea, and taking in the landscape, they proceeded to split into groups. Mikasa and Annie had take the initiative of setting up a volleyball game against Sasha, Historia, and Ymir. At first, as the girls were getting used to the game, the ball flew smoothly over the net, passes were cautious, and serves almost every time would not get over the net. But as the real game began, Mikasa and Ymir were blocking and jumping with everything they had, Annie served way too hard, accidentally hitting Sasha on the head and making the girl fall with a loud thud, and Historia was making assists with Ymir. The atmosphere was thick with concentration and competitiveness from both parties. Those who watched their game might’ve thought the girls were giving their all. However, after a pretty shit serve from Annie, the ball was passed by Sasha who ducked down and with her forearms redirected the ball to Historia. The blonde little girl then bent her legs slightly, pushing the ball upwards towards virtually nobody. At that moment, Ymir ran and jumped, intercepting the ball, then smashed it over the net right into Mikasa's head. The raven stumbled on her feet and fell bottom first into the sand. With her body already full of sweat and remaining water from their previous bath, it should have not been a surprise when her whole figure became covered in sand. She grimaced and let out a sharp breath, then stood up to her feet, murder on her mind. Afterwards, Mikasa and Annie kept stealing points from their adversaries mercilessly, making Historia cry and Ymir throw empty threats their way. Sasha, being neutral, tried to calm both parties and bring them to a consensus, but to no avail. Not even three minutes later after the match had ended, Ymir, who had tried to calm down Historia, stood up and proposed another game, one in which she made sure she had the upper hand. Motivation and determination can do a lot of things to a person. For example, seeing her beloved cry was what fuelled the brunette to destroy Mikasa and Annie, intercepting their every ball over the net and smashing it to the floor, earning themselves plenty of points.
Next to them, the boys had also set up a football game. Jean was teamed up with Marlo and Bertholdt, while Eren was with Armin and Reiner. Connie took upon the role of being the referee, bringing his fingers to his mouth and failing miserably to whistle, only managing to produce wheezing sounds accompanied by saliva spraying anything within a two meters’ radius whenever there would be a fault or any other rule violation. Jean’s team was leading with Marlo as their goal getter and him defending flawlessly any attempt at scoring the other team made. The game carried on like this for ten minutes until he decided to glance in the girls’ direction. Sasha just bounced the ball over the net, the object spinning rapidly in the air and to the right side of Mikasa’s and Annie side, falling to the ground fast. Despite being almost impossible to catch, Mikasa ducked down at the last moment, intercepting it with her forearms in a platform pass in Annie’s direction, once again proving her inhumane abilities. Sure the rebound was impressive but what caught Jean’s attention was the way her spine bent, her hips arching up then landing with a thud on the ground, and most importantly, how the skin on her ass bounced slightly at the contact, deranging her Brazilian red bathing suit. At the moment Jean opened his mouth unconsciously in amazement. Eren, who had been watching the whole scene unfold, shot the football right in the fucker’s face, making his jaw and face scrunch in the opposite direction as the ball collided with his face. Jean let out a pained groan and stumbled to the ground.
“You fucking creep! Stop staring at my girlfriend. Also we just landed a goal on you.” Eren laughed then high fived with Reiner.
“I wasn’t looking! This game’s just so lame I intentionally distracted myself.” Jean sneered, rubbing at his face.
A little further in front of them, three absolutely lovely ladies were relaxing on their towels, working sun screen onto their skin with delicate rubbing movements. Hitch, being the palest out of all of them rubbed the most sun screen, claiming over and over again that she by no means could turn up to training looking like a crab at training the next day. Nanaba was chatting amicably with Petra. This was one of the first times they were able to talk outside of the Corps as they were on different squads, thus almost never having the time to do so. In the water in front of them, Eld, Gunther, and Auruo were trying to surf. But with the waves being so tame and low in height they just sat on their boards engaging in light conversation, each of them cracking a joke every now and then. Suddenly, something brushed again Auruo’s foot where it was resting on the sea’s floor. He shrieked in fear, disturbing his balance and falling with a big splash in the water. As he emerged from the water, he took a closer look and found a crab crawling across the sand. Auruo looked for a moment in the direction of the girls and with a mischievous smirk on his face, grabbed the creature carefully and headed in their direction. Poor Petra, oblivious of the danger that was approaching her in the form of her boyfriend, was resting on the towel on the verge of slumber when the cretin threw the creature on her. With an annoyed huff Petra opened her eyes, immediately focusing them on Auruo, whose gaze was directed at her stomach. Raising an eyebrow in question, she also directed her gaze there only to be found with the crab now crawling rapidly on her body. With a blood curling scream, Petra stood up and grabbed the poor creature, yanking it in the direction of his face. The crab, now completely confused and dizzy, grabbed the nearest object: Auruo’s ear, squeezing the piece of cartilage with an iron grip, drawing out a shriek of pain from the man. He grabbed the crab, freeing his ear from the excruciating pain, and threw it in a random direction. His plan had gone completely wrong. Without having time to recover from the abuse his ear received, his face was slapped by a very angry Petra.
“You moron, you completely and utterly stupid cretin of a man, how dare you?!” Petra shouted, grabbing his injured ear, making Auruo bite his tongue and drawing from the regretful man a tear that streamed down from his right eye right to the bottom of his jaw. The display made the red head soften slightly, “Don’t pull that shit ever again on me or I swear to god I’m gonna drop your sorry ass right then and there.” Auruo nodded earnestly then leaned and pressed a kiss to his girlfriend’s cheek.
Not only was the beach beautiful but it also had a wooden pontoon that extended far away into the water to regions where the depth was around 20 meters, right above a coral reef, much to Hange’s delight, who was frantically pulling their diving suit on then equipping themselves with the oxygen tank, goggles, and swimming fins. Moblit was trying to keep up with his partner in crime but found it impossible as he lacked the energy the other was seething with. Hange was first in the water, bitting on the breathing tube and drawing in a few breaths to test it, then put on her goggles with a slap, before submerging, not sparing a look behind to see if the other had followed them. With a sigh, poor Moblit jumped in the water, following them closely behind.
On the same pontoon, on the left side, Erwin, Levi, and Mike were fishing; rods in each of their hands. Levi didn’t find the activity at all appealing. It was just an excuse to hang around his husband. Was he being clingy? Yes, but he didn’t give a fuck. However, the other two seemed to be genuinely interested. They talked about all the kinds of fish they would like to catch, and made those awful dad jokes that just made Levi want to throw them both in the water. Suddenly, something tugged at his rod. He didn’t pay much attention but after a second, third, and fourth tug happened, he started working the reel, pulling whatever caught his lure. When he saw it wouldn’t budge, he pulled harder. By now, Erwin and Mike noticed that he had caught something and were watching him earnestly. As his struggle increased, Erwin started helping him pull but it still wouldn’t move. Mike decided to join and the three of them pulled, finally managing to pull the thing in their direction. The enormous fish emerged from the water with a high arched jump, landing directly on Levi, spreading his fluids all over his face. The man gag angrily before pushing it off then jumping in the water. After he rubbed his skin raw, the raven emerged from the water with a pissed off expression, only to see the thing’s lifeless body in Erwin’s hand. The fish had a pretty impressive size, but what softened Levi was not its size or his beautifully coloured body, all phosphorescent pink, greens, pinks, and purples, but Erwin’s pleased smile. Sighing, he climbed back on the pontoon and took the fish from Erwin’s hands and dropped it in the bucket.
“Filthy thing.”

As night finally settled over the beach, the group sat themselves around the bonfire Reiner and Bertholdt had managed to light up. Now huddled closely against his husband’s chest, Levi couldn’t help but feel completely at peace. Finally the danger had passed and they were now able to enjoy themselves fully without the fear of dying the next day. Mikasa and Eren were also cuddling together with a blanket Eren had brought, engulfed in their own world, engaging in hushed conversation accompanied by occasional kisses to the crowns of their heads, cheeks, and lips. Annie was laughing softly at something Armin was saying, running her hands through his hair, where he rested his head on her lap. Petra was telling a story to Eld, Gunther and Auruo, waving and motioning aggressively, her eyes wide open and the tone of her voice oscillating between loud and soft, depending on the events of the story. Hange was making observations about today’s research expedition or to put it simply: diving session, while Moblit was sketching furiously the kinds of marine life he saw today. The others were in their own small circle listening to Jean play the guitar, accompanied by Sasha’s and Hitch’s sweet voices, forming a calm and slow…love song? Judging by the warmth Levi’s stomach filled with, maybe it was a love song or a friendship one. One about hardship and finally finding relief and closure, whatever it was he could relate. As this song came to an end, Jean changed the chords and intonation signaling the beginning of a new song. Sasha and Hitch, apparently also familiar with it, began humming slowly at first, then chanting, then fully singing:

As the song came to a stop, Levi finally identified the feeling that kept invading his stomach: love. He loved all of those people, although he would never admit it. Finally being able to see them be truly happy and enjoying the remaining of their lives, no longer in fear of the titans, was making him incredibly happy. With a soft and content smile now grazing his, he spoke:

My roommate’s increasingly wild guide to how each sport can be improved:
Basketball: Needs strategically placed short people; every team needs at least one.
Football: Gone.
Golf: No longer played in nice weather -- only storming. Turf may have to change as they can only play during a torrential downpour.
Baseball: Flames. “How close to the players?” Very. Also the ball is on fire.
Softball: Don’t even get me started on softball.
Soccer: The ball. Is gigantic. You know how they fake being hurt? I want to give them a reason to be hurt.
Hockey: Ice hockey: again, flames. But just for show. “What about field hockey?” Who cares about field hockey?? Anyway, more women. Big women. Replace all players with 7 feet tall women. I take it back, get rid of the flames -- just the women for this one.
Volleyball: Has to be outside. In nice weather, but outside.
Tennis: A perfect sport. No changes.
Swimming: Shallower water. They’ll figure it out.
Dance: More men.
Wrestling: Winter parkas. Wait, big bubbles. No -- full body latex suits. Too much skin-to-skin is gross, we need to fix that. Maybe morph suits. Rainbow morph suits.

[RAVN] — volleyball
youngjo in volleyball, huh? you might be wondering why he’s in there
remember when youngjo said that he wasn’t very athletic to begin with?
so yes he’s in the volleyball team, except he’s their team manager
don’t get him wrong though, he knows the basics of volleyball; the rules, how to receive and toss, those types of skills
but he’s certain that playing a sport is clearly not for him,,,,
so when he finds out that there is an opening slot for the men’s volleyball team and there are incentives for them
he signs in ! also because choosing a sport that the other boys are in might be distracting if he cheers for them all the time. he’s a proud father
as a rookie manager, he had a lot to learn because being a manager meant he had to help organize events, he had to make reservations, he had to talk to the administrators often; it’s a lot to handle even if they were three people :,)
but everyone in the volleyball team is super nice and very easy to work with !
they were even nice enough to teach youngjo some more skills so in case he wanted to join them he could :]
the volleyball team even makes sure that the managers get their own jerseys WITH numbers uwu
it’s super cute because instead of their last name, it has “MANAGER” emblazoned behind
youngjo chooses number 9 bc it’s his lucky number
he really fits the managerial job well because he’s quite organized
it’s amazing how he can study and manage the vb team at the same time
dude’s super organized, his homework is very neat, and he’s always ready for anything (he always has salonpas with him if anyone needs it)
even more amazing that he and the rest of oneus can still marathon sports anime during their free time lmao
all the running youngjo has to do to visit admin offices will slowly build his muscles, but he won’t give up the managerial position any time soon
[Seoho] — football/soccer
you guys knew this was coming lmao
but not a lot of people actually know seoho is in a sports team
he’s more known for being in an advanced science program in their school
so when people hear his name being announced for an award the football team garnered recently
everyone is s h o c k e d
but he’s really humble about it! he just laughs it off when people ask him about it
it won’t erase the fact that seoho is a really good football player though
he’s jersey number 17 and he plays as a defender
and he’s pretty damn good at it because he uses his flexibility well to steal the ball from his opponent
sometimes it’s ridiculous how this guy can steal the ball despite being in a tight position (such as having around two opposing players guarding him)
it gives him a reputation among the competing schools around the region for being super quick on his feet and analytical as a player
but he’s also known for always smiling during the game
so all his photos on the school paper are super cute HAHAHAHA
when the school papers arrive, everyone is cheering for him because the photos that get used for publication are usually his since he’s so photogenic
everyone talks about it; the teachers, his classmates, the oneus boys, literally eVERYONE ! who wouldn’t though, seoho is cute uwu
as a student, this guy is smart . he’s very good at analyzing things so when it comes to problem solving he’d do pretty well
but sometimes he’ll forget that there’s homework so he just crams it before classes start or during the break
the teachers love him, everyone loves him, we all love seoho uwu
[Leedo] — baseball
have you seen this guy?
geonhak has the built to be able to handle the physical demands of baseball
and think about geonhak in a baseball uniform. do it. use your remaining brain cells. it’s a nice concept, right? yes.
his back reads jersey number 26 !
and strong and reliable geonhak is their first baseman!
honestly the runners who have to stay at first base are high-key terrified of him
but once geonhak asks them “how are you”, or if they’ve just met “what year level are you in”,, everyone wonders if this is the same guy,,
as the one with an insane RBI count??? and is their team’s clean-up batter who scored so many homeruns in his student career??? and usually carries the heaviest weights for conditioning training???
geonhak is not meant to be messed with ! especially when he’s on the field and the umpire starts the game !
he’s a good sport with a big heart uwu but he takes baseball seriously
he diligently takes care of his body to prevent injuries by visiting the gym regularly
but he loves to eat so after training or a competition he’s usually seen with his teammates at a local korean barbeque they’re regulars in LOL
this guy watches anime so yes. he has watched daiya no a. he also watched oofuri and major. he’s trying to get his other teammates to watch them too but he’s a bit shy talking about this with them
unlike most of oneus, he keeps to himself most of the time, so his closest friends are either his teammates or the rest of the boys
he does his best to keep up with academics, but you might see this guy snoozing a bit in class (and he wakes up just before anything happens)
he still does fairly well and finishes work on time, he’s a reliable student :]
[Keonhee] — ultimate
a sport that doesn’t get a lot of attention !!
keonhee has the limbs and the reach for ultimate frisbee to be honest
he has long arms that help give power to his throws, and he’s so tall that it’s difficult for people to block the trajectory of the disc
prior to being an athlete for ultimate frisbee, he actually didn’t have any sport to begin with
the people from the team were pretty much willing to teach anyone who was interested in the sport so that they could fill up slots AND make sure that there are enough people to replace the seniors
and those seniors were part of the original people who started the sports club
so when a member approached him and introduced the sport to him, keonhee gave it a try and he’s grown to love it uwu
he uses number 33 for his jersey, and out of all the members in the ultimate team he’s probably the nicest when it comes to calling fouls
because surprise surprise ! ultimate is actually primarily a self-officiating sport with several game advisors to help with settling disputes ! cool !
ultimate is an interesting sport and keonhee has a lot to learn as a rookie
and he admits that it’s hard to get used to being a student-athlete; he also takes voice lessons since his family is very musically inclined
regardless, his family supports his interest in ultimate! as long as he’s happy and that he’s still able to balance academics and music
keonhee does his best to make sure he gets to balance everything, and it’s extremely helpful that the oneus boys and his teammates help each other with school and other personal problems uwu
everyone is helping keonhee adjust accordingly and it’s going great !
sometimes when there are parties for the sports clubs keonhee volunteers to perform for their team and his voice is beautiful
keonhee gets to do everything he loves and that’s as beautiful as he is
[Hwanwoong] — dancesport
another sport that I believe doesn’t get a lot of attention!
dancesport is competitive ballroom dancing and it’s no joke
my first thought was to put woongie under a streetdance team considering his specialties as a dancer
but honestly with his flexibility and stage presence, i think putting him here would fit him as well
hwanwoong usually competes under the standard division with quickstep
but there are times where he ends up competing in paso doble under the latin dance division
which is super wack because the dances he’ll end up doing are pretty much a gamble so there’s a lot of preparation needed and choreography to rehearse,,,
of course he knows what he’s doing, that’s why aside from dance practice he also goes to the gym to improve his stamina and endurance
his playlist could go from k-pop to latin music real quick because he listens to the competition pieces all the time to prepare
with all that it clearly means that his schedule is definitely packed because of his extra curriculars and academics
when he does have a break, he usually spends that time to either finish his homework or to practice his routine
even if he’s busy though he still maintains good connections with other people
parties? if he has time, sure !!
he has a lot of friends in the dancing community and outside it because he’s very sociable and nice as a person :]
if you ask the people he has worked with currently and in the past, they’ll all tell you that he’s one of the best people to work with
he’s professional, yet fun to dance and be with in general
everyone knows who he is in school because he’s one of the best dancers around ! also as the one who’s usually sleeping in class lmao
dancing is his life and he’s sure to continue pursuing this sport even after graduating uwu
[XION] — badminton
here’s a visual for you: dongju in a headband, he has a wrist sweatband on his arm, he has a backpack with three racquets behind him, and he’s wearing a whole ensemble of clothes that were all from yonex
it’s a nice visual, don’t you think so?
you know what’s even nicer? imagine that his things come in matching colors with dongmyeong’s badminton gear
so yes, dongju is a badminton player who more often than not gets paired up with his twin brother for doubles
comparing the twins, dongju is actually more flexible and agile than dongmyeong (who specializes in power and placement)
so their match-up is powerful because they complement each other well
literally mention “The Son Twins” to any rival school and they will know who ur Talking About
and because dongju’s reach around the court is very extensive, he also gets assigned to play singles (he has the endurance and stamina for it)
badminton doesn’t require you to have a jersey number, but it’s a requirement that dongju and dongmyeong always wear matching jerseys during competitions
dongju is lowkey tired of it but he’ll humor dongmyeong for now
but if there’s anything in this world that dongju is sick of, it’s definitely how much people underestimate badminton as a sport :)
he didn’t train since he was 4 years old just for people to say it’s an easy sport where you just hit the shuttlecock !!
it takes so much precision and muscle memory to be able to even get the ball to the sport you need it to be !! and you need to be quick when making decisions in-game because it’s a fast sport !!
he may be quiet, but if you make fun of the sport dongju is gonna educate you !! and probably get mad at u a little bit for doing so but he just wants people to appreciate it more :(
catch him during competitions doing his homework with dongmyeong !
he’s also usually seen playing badminton against the wall when he’s bored
he works hard in everything he does but sometimes when he’s struggling he tends to keep it to himself; whether it’s for school or for the sport :’)
dongju also goes to school with salonpas on him regularly to the point that the classroom starts to smell minty, sometimes you’ll see him in an ankle support too
everyone asks him if he’s okay but even if he says he is,,, everyone is worried,,,, pls take care dongju we are here for you if you need help,,,

The Fifa series has adhered to a clear philosophy in the last two decades. Let's call it "Hollywood authenticity". The games seem realistic, the animation is incredibly accurate, the presentation has all the sweet magic graphics that you expect in the Sky TV era. Squint and you can almost imagine that you are watching a real game.
Yet, below those that go down in the upper corner, those at the last minute of set-pieces, every game seems somehow created - as if, hidden somewhere and secretly checking each action was a left cabal of the writers by Roy of the Rovers.
But that's OK because playing Fifa 19 is a joy: control, fluidity, the sense of possibility from any animation of the graceful character. More than the last few episodes, the action is mawkish and refined. A thrust of speed, a well-timed passage, a sparkle on the left, and the field opens like a theatrical stage. It is electrifying. At the same time, tackling the problem is very difficult, there are more uncertainties at 50/50 balls (in fact you can win a little above the professional level), and there is a nice robust physical engine that means the steps of Overhit and bouncy balls can often act unpredictably, rotating from your player's shin, however skilled he or she is.
The game in the open field is open and when you arrive in the penalty area, discover that the shots have also been optimized. Now there is the possibility of making a second timely touch of the shooting button to launch a more decisive shot. It is difficult to get the correct result. In most cases, we recommend taking a basic explosive-and-hope approach, but it is important that Fifa continues to provide more options to the target, in particular with the ever-improving intelligence of defenders.
From these intertwined systems of physics, animation and attack range, great goals are possible. There are kicks in the head, of course, but also the headings swooping from the edge of the box. Somehow, I had Andy Carroll score on the first post, using the outside of his foot to curl around a restless keeper with all the calm and sophistication of a young Baryshnikov. It was a treasure thing - and that's what "Hollywood authenticity" means. The real unreal.
And, of course, Fifa also talks about its wide range of options. There is the latest episode of The Journey, the interactive TV box series of the game, which now follows Alex Hunter, his sister Kim and his friend Danny Williams through their tortuous careers and giving players control over moments and decisions that change a life.
Career mode is barely changed, but the basic multiplayer game option now allows you to choose from a number of fun game options including Headers and Volleyballs and No Rules, where there are no refs or decisions, a kind post-apocalyptic soccer. EA has also brought the Champions League so you can stand on the side of European glory while you're tired of listening to the melody of the operatic theme of the competition.
Then there is the Ultimate Team. The online team creation mode, which allows you to create a fantasy side and launch it against others around the world, returns with interface improvements and cosmetics and lots of new player cards. It's still a gripping album of live Panini stickers with a problematic loot-box element that allows real money transactions for randomized prizes.
But in reality, this remains a game on the fantasy of elite football. It seems that some of the pernicious increases in ball control and jostling that have been imposed between Fifas 15 and 18 have been attenuated, or at least replaced by systems that are actually fun. Fifa 19 is a game that lacks attention and gives the attackers and defenders the chance to look incredible in equal measure. It allows you to run to the central defenders with a joy of life, chirping the ball around them, but also allows you to slip with a monstrous sliding envelope like Paolo Maldini in the prime of the years.
Fifa 19 is a true simulation of modern football: brash and bloated but also slickly professional; sometimes it makes you crazy with its cynicism, others almost make you cry.
