making spreadsheets about my own fanfics helps absolutely no one but now i do know that my wol is the pov character for approximately 45% of my words written, and my most written era of the game is post-endwalker with 16.15%. absolutely useless information. will not be accurate the moment i go to write again. the 2nd biggest pov is valerian with 21%. the two after that are 8.7% & 8.7%, to put all that into perspective. the total number is 199222 unless i add that one fic without any ocs that i made in a trance back in september which would make that number 199909.

to put THAT into perspective, it took me well over a year, maybe even close to 2, to reach 200k with destiny fics.

Intro Post

This blog focuses on my Rain World OCs involved in the "Mobile Iterator Project" AU. ^_^

The “Mobile Iterator Project” (MIP) is a project created and directed by an Ancient named "No Cost Too Great" (NCTG) with the stated goal of supporting standard iterators in their productivity, maintenance, and longevity, so that they can operate at maximum efficiency, even after the inevitable mass ascension. ‘MIP Units’—iterators under the project—are created puppet-first in the "MIP Development Center" and later assigned to Local Groups, where their structures are built to support the Iterators around them.

MIP Units are uniquely developed with personality modules formed from memories and qualia donated by Architect (in-universe name for Ancient) clients. The exception to this is TWR, who was programmed more traditionally. This decision has been considered somewhat controversial, but the Director considers it essential to ensure their efficacy as replacements for the Architects, as well as for their "artistic vision" for the Project.

In total, there are 99 MIP Units, with IDs ranging from 01 to 99.

(This AU strays pretty far from the themes and canon of both Vanilla Rain World and Downpour, so please keep that in mind!)

I know nothing about this Eclipse Born au and now I am very curious 👀

Ahem. Time to start rambling.

So the Eclipse Born AU is supposed to be a multi-seasonal AU (about 8 or 9, I can never remember the actual number) with a few oneshots sprinkled in between certain seasons to transition between them or just give out more lore. A couple of these seasons are kind of filler, but still have small important plot points within them. The series is seperated into two main arcs, with the first 4 to 5 seasons involving finding out what an Eclipse Born is and which of the ninja (one of the original six, the new ones are too young to be it) is the Eclipse Born, and then the Seasons after are basically the aftermath.

It involves pretty much all of my OCs, including Jes, Derek, Kiera, Kaito the elemental killer, Mal 'Eec. Plus some actual minifigures that come to actual Ninjago sets like Cece and Kaito (the human) that I just gave some story to.

I don't know when the actual start of the AU will be, because I have not wrote it yet. And whenever I start writing it depends on the most recent Ninjago season that will have come out at that point. If I start writing it soon, it will just be the series prologue and "Memories of a Moonlit Sea (That I Used To Be)".

Also, I do want to note that when I do start writing it, there will be quite a few content warnings, specifically involving graphic violence.

And a big thing of the AU is that it fucks up a lot of canon lore. And it's deliberately in a way so that the ninja (the main characters) think all the canon lore is true, when in fact parts are not.

Like the fact that in my AU there is a third continent up in the Northern hemisphere that was not created by the FSM. In the present day, since there are obviously going to be satellites, seeing as how people were able to go to space in Season 3, the explanation for the continent being hidden is that people on that continent somehow hack the satellites so that Ninjagan satellites can't see them or watch their TV. But the citizens of this continent know a lot about Ninjago, both from ancient and present history. I also want to note that this is not supposed to say that in our world, there is an extra continent. NO. We are not doing conspiracy theories here. I just thought it'd be easier and more interesting for the plot to have another continent available to explain things. (The continent is named Aquaria, after Aquariume (which I headcanon as Zane's power source, and also need a whole other post going over it because it's both a crystal and an elemental power), originally called Atlantis, due to being the continent that was submerged long before Time had a name when Wojira started attacking all those years ago)

Or all the Oni and Dragon anatomy shit. And Oni lore, especially involving Resurrected Oni, Brood Oni (Season 10 Oni), and the type of Oni that Jes and Lloyd are. (some of which isn't really scientifically possible and is noted that it shouldn't (mainly involving the actual genetics, because that shit does not follow 5th grade genetics rules), but is also played off as "because why the fuck not"). Plus a lot of Dragon and Oni hybrid lore as well.

Or like the fact that there are things unknown about elemental powers. Such as the origin of powers like Tech, Ink, whatever the fuck Zeatrix's is, and Heat (which may change depending on how DR actually explains their power origins). Or the two still in the realm but not in the Ninjago continent (Death and Dark Lightning). Ooooorrrr the Dead Elements (which I also need to make a whole other post on)

Or, (not curtailing to certain elements anymore) the existence of Elemental Beings, which are basically elementals who instead of holding all the powers of an element, hold one or two. They can hold multiple elements (which Elemental Masters can technically as well, but not as Master powers).

Or what happens to an Elemental Master's power after they have kids. Because the power is still there. The Master just has to relearn how to use their powers.

Aaaannnd then there's the reason why the lore's fucked up. Mainly involving Hazza'Dur. Who was an Eclipse Born. Like his little brother by seven years, Mal 'Eec.

In the AU, Eclipse Borns are two elementals born seven years apart, during a time period between the Two Twin Eclipses. These eclipses are more than seven years apart from each other. But the two children have the same exact power as each other. This is different from elemental beings, because elemental being siblings don't regularly have similar powers. And even if they are similar, they are not exactly the same. But Eclipse Born Elemental Masters are even rarer than Eclipse Born Elemental Beings. And even more powerful.

But Hazza'Dur kills his little brother and takes his power, becoming very powerful. I am not going to go too much into that right now, because that in itself (like everything else) is a long ass tangent and this post is already pretty long. But his rise to power and the aftermath of his death involve a lot of things, including Shintaro lore.

I got a bit derailed (since there's a ton of shit), but despite all the ancient Ninjago lore in the series, the AU takes part during present day, after the Merge. And a lot of fucked up shit happens. Especially after the "Un-Merge" happens. Because things start to get really shitty in Ninjago. And Aquaria. Though they were already fucked up in Aquaria.

Magical Girl Cookie - She is an energetic cookie who has a big disliking to Espresso Cookie for unknown reasons. In a relationship with Madeleine Cookie and has called Wizard Cookie her son.

Neapolitan Cookie - A very mysterious sweet cookie who had her body parts from other cookies. She wields a giant hammer. In a relationship with Red Velvet Cookie.

Silver Swiss Cookie - A corrupted cookie who was exposed to the silver material and had their body partly deformed. They blame Golden Cheese Cookie for their corruption and is out to destroy her.

Flower Garden Cookie - A cookie who happens to be a clone of White Lily Cookie. She relives through her og source’s memories while in reality, she almost gets harmed. She is mistaken for White Lily Cookie multiple times. She also is immune to Poison Mushroom’s shroomies. In a relationship with Licorice Cookie.

Holy Vanilla Cookie - A cookie clone of Pure Vanilla Cookie. He is very loyal to Flower Garden Cookie to the point where he falls in love with her. He is mistaken as Pure Vanilla Cookie once by Gingerbrave and his gang. Also not affected by Poison Mushroom’s shroomies.

Pink Berry Cookie - A cookie clone of Hollyberry Cookie. Still has her og source’s personality except she just wants vengeance. Idk what for and she doesn’t know either. She’s a great hugger though. Also not affected by Poison Mushroom’s shroomies.

Midnight Cacao Cookie - A cookie clone of Dark Cacao Cookie. Much more calmer and relaxed than his og source. Likes to meditate and takes naps. He is mistaken as Dark Cacao Cookie once by Dark Choco Cookie. Also not affected by Poison Mushroom’s shroomies.

Golden Cheddar Cookie - A cookie clone of Golden Cheese Cookie. Not much different from her og source in both appearance and personality except she claims she’s faster than GC. Also got killed by Silver Swiss, due to the fact by them mistaking her for her og source. Also not affected by Poison Mushroom’s shroomies but she doesn’t really like them.

Light Frappe Cookie - Not much backstory for her except she’s dating Espresso Cookie and is rivals with Magical Girl Cookie.

they were raised into the army of the motherworld , indoctrinated into their regime . kora became the youngest imperium officer to hold a field command , bringing multiple previously unconquered planets under the motherworld's control . eventually they were given the honor of becoming a seneschal , a royal bodyguard tasked with protecting princess issa .

kora witnessed many unexplainable things around issa . once , she brought a bird back to life after the family dog killed it . issa was said to be the reincarnation of an ancient queen who could restore & give life . kora protected her fiercely , & loved issa like a sister .

it was on the day of princess issa's coronation that tragedy befell the royal family . with the support of senators & other high - profile individuals of the motherworld , balisarius launched an assassination plot on the royal family , killing the king , the queen , and arthelais' charge, issa . balisarius named himself regent of the realm , & put all of the responsibility for the assassination upon kora . she fled , taking a ship out from the motherworld & traversed the stars for days until crash landing on the farming planet of veldt . the people of veldt took them in , never asking too many questions about where they came from .

a. arrakis verse ( dune ) ... after leaving the motherworld , kora crash lands on the desert planet of arakkis . with a concussion & limited resources , kora traversed the hot desert for fifty - four hours . they eventually came upon the fremen people , who were wary of outsiders in their land . kora gave a display of power & strength , earning herself a place among them . she stayed there for two years , until balasarius and the harkonnens arrived seeking spice .

b. smuggler pilot verse ( star wars / dune / canon ) ... upon crash landing in veldt , kora was taken in by the farming community there . a portion of the year's harvest would be secretly given to the rebel alliance , something kora became heavily involved in . they often made drop runs for the rebels , leaving them food & wares . after two years on veldt , kora asked to be taken with the rebels . they acquire a ship through the rebellion , & a reliable crew . the majority of their work was providing food , weapons & other resources to those fighting in the rebellion .

c. bounty hunter verse ( star wars / dune / canon ) ... upon fleeing the imperium , kora goes off the radar & enters the role of a bounty hunter operating in the seedy underbelly of the galaxy . it kept them safe , being faceless & known only by ishcheyka [ "bloodhound" ] they primarily target those affiliated with the imperium ( or empire / first order ) .

d. knight of ren verse ( star wars ) ... at a very young age , kora's parents discovered that they were force sensitive . they were sent to train with luke skywalker , & ultimately met the same fate as the other children there the night that kylo ren dissented . becoming a knight of ren , kora was forced to put her past behind her . after years spent under their reign , kora themself dissented- fleeing & becoming a fugitive of the rebellion .

e. merc verse ( marvel / dc / fandomless ) ... after years of working as a covert operative for a private military contractor , kora broke away from that line of work & began doing hit jobs - taking on dangerous missions for the highest bidder . their moral compass , while skewed , still tries to point north - as they're very selective in who they agree to 'take out' . most often it's targeted between crime syndicates or the occasional corrupt political figure .

f. supernatural verses ( any supernatural fandom ; tvd , etc. ) ... in the majority of supernatural verses , kora is a werewolf . backstory varies depending on each fandom's rules .

Okay, so I’ve been on tumblr since before the first time they very slightly changed the shade of blue and I hope that in and of itself is enough to help y’all know... I’m ancient. (I’m 27, and will only rp with ppl 18+, sorry friendos)

Somehow, despite being on tumblr and despite having made about a million accounts for various things in my day, I’ve not made an RP account, and don’t really know how to get started. I guess I’m just gonna put down what I know about myself and what I’m looking for here and hope for the best, but I’d be open to any kind of protips from those of you who have been using tumblr to find rp for much longer.

RIP to your eyes ahead of time, this is a long post. If you want to skip to the part where I share my Original plots, pairings, and fandom cravings, please just scroll to the end and accept my humble apologies. (Highkey I copied this out of my google doc, don’t shoot me.)

I enjoy writing both original plots and fandom stuff. When RPing within a fandom setting, I'm open to playing as canons, as ocs, or any combination of both. I'm open to co-creating settings inspired but not based in fandoms, and open to playing AU or canon settings as well. When originals are involved, I prefer co-creating our worlds together, so we're both invested in the landscape that our characters inhabit. Speaking of characters- I'll play as any gender and in any pairing type- I hope that this is the same for you. I love writing a broad spectrum of characters to keep things interesting for myself and to practice viewing the world through different perspectives. I feel it's difficult to do this when being forced or pigeonholed into writing as a gender you DEMAND of me. However... I can be flexible, and if your ideas are interesting enough, I may just give you what you ask for anyways, haha. I'm perfectly open to playing multiple characters, whether it's a broad interactive cast of mains and background characters, a system of noninteracting or separate sets of doubles, triples, you name it, or whatever other configuration of multiple-character-playing you prefer.

I'm not too terribly concerned about post lengths and am open to writing with people who might be new to the RP scene. I'm pretty flexible about how much I'll write. A good rule of thumb for myself is that I tend to respond with more when I have more to work with. That doesn't always mean that there are more words on your post for me to respond to; instead, I mean that if your post has enough ideas, inspiration, and momentum, I can go buckwild with my posts. My comfort zone seems to be around 4-6 paragraphs per post, but I've been known to write either a lot more in particularly thrilling rps. If I'm writing a huge post- don't feel daunted or expected to match length. I love all sized posts!!! I'm just overly enthusiastic and get carried away sometimes. (This means you can also at any time tell me to chill out on how much I'm writing. ) When it comes to writing style, I only have a few hard expectations of you- I do not engage in roleplay featuring the 'would' style of writing. (For example: "She would pick up the rock and inspect it closely.") I don't exactly know why I dislike this tense so much, but it pulls me right out of the immersion of writing/reading and tends to entirely destroy my interest in the story. I'm sorry. Next, I care at least a little about punctuation and spellchecking. If you're roleplaying online, you have access to ways to make sure that you're not just submitting gibberish. If you need help finding those resources... feel free to ask!

I'm open to the idea of making profiles for our characters, but I'm okay without making them too. I'm also vaguely ambivalent to 'beautifying' our posts, should we do them somewhere that allows that sort of thing. I'm fine with any style of reference images, or with not using them at all. I can't promise I won't send you songs and images and memes that remind me of our story, though! Also- I'm super down for dice systems if we decide to go that route (and prefer dice systems if we include combat of any variety in our story.) I love romance, but it doesn't necessarily have to be the drive of our plot if that's not your style. My favorite genres to write in are science fiction, any variety of fantasy, horror, drama, historical settings, wild western settings, and mysteries.

Last but not least, I tend to like making friends with my writing partners. I prefer writing with people I actually get along with, so for me, the plotting phase is the most important. It helps me get to know your personality a bit more, and you mine, so we both know whether or not it's a good match to write long term! I'll write on most platforms, so let's discuss what makes the most sense for us. Finally, I generally only write with folks 18+, for the safety of everyone involved. Thanks for understanding.

- There's something dire down in the mines to the east of this old Western town. Folks keep goin' in to investigate, disappearin' for days at a time, then comin' back all different-like with the lights gone from their eyes. What could be happenin' out there, sheriff? (horror/western)

- A high-fantasy world's balance is shattered when the source of magic is destroyed. How will the people of this mystical land navigate a now mundane life, and how can they survive when so many magical devices go defunct and awry?

- A no-magic world is suddenly spun into chaos: an apocalyptic event leads to the sudden introduction of magic into a world that had previously never known it. In the post-apocalyptic (and mystically-charged) ashes of a world that once was, how do the survivors compete for resources and control?

- A star falls from the sky! They're rare, and it's dangerous to be one. Are you the star, hunted and lost? Or are you someone who finds a star?

Under a cut because this is gonna be LONG

A fic you love without knowing the source material: I’ve never seen Full Metal Alchemist or read it but Satellite by SpicyReyes is Fantastic and I am a SUCKER for time-travel fics done well and this is top tier.  Also nice and lengthy, WIP. A fic with a premise that shouldn’t work, but it does. Maestoso by novalotypo - I did not expect the Elric brothers becoming virtuoso violinists and somehow still setting everything to rights but boy did I enjoy it A fic you’ve read several times: There’s a lot of these XD but I’m going to go with The Life and Times of Hatake Kakashi, long suffering jounin sensei by FeelingsDusk because it’s hilarious and a really well written Naruto time-travel fic that balances perfectly the level of detail with the story beats. A fic you remember years later: The incredible letter-writing fic series Logolepsy by Vehlr and WeatheredLaw it was the first fic that broke my heart, one of the first fics I wrote fanpoetry for and is just perfection.  Dragon Age Inquisition post-game Cassandra/Varric A comfort fic: Once again I’m going to pick a series - the incredible Demon and Angel Professor series by Ghostinthehouse.  A Good Omens AU with every piece of the series being 666 words long telling the story of Dr Fell (Literature Professor, everyone loves him) and Dr Crowley (Botany Professor, everyone’s scared of him) and their students. A cathartic fic: I’m going to cheat and rec my own fic because there’s nothing quite as cathartic for me as for expressing all my feelings onto an OC.  In Lightning’s Wake, Victory.  My OC is Nemo d’Vidas and in this fic she travels to the world of Sekiro and gets to change the story. A fic you’d print and put on your bookshelf: Well that’d have to be Swung by Serafim by flamethrower becuase I have in fact printed it and put it on my bookshelf...  Harry Potter re-telling with a what-if Harry was Obliviated at the end of book 2 and the proper novel-in-its-self length Epilogue we all deserved.  Please note: NOT A SNARRY FIC. A fic you associated with a song: Ah this is has to be Wait What? by seeing_blue, a DA:I fic with an incredible OC whom I adore.  The song that I associate it with is Centuries by Fall Out Boy. Solas/OC A fic that inspires you: Okay so I think this one has to be Re-Entry by flamethrower and no I will not be ashamed of reccing multiple fics by one author.  Star Wars, Time-Travel Qui-Gon/Obi-Wan an epic piece.  I figure a fic that inspired me to make a whole side-blog dedicated to fanpoetry for it probably fills this square pretty well. A fic that brought you on board a new ship: Basically all of Norcumi’s magical Rex/Obi-Wan fics.  I enjoy all of them so here’s Second Chances, a post 66 finding each other again. A fic you wish could be a movie: Sekiro: We Can Never Die by mintyworks - Honestly Sekiro is half-way to being a movie in and of itself, it’s beautiful and mintyworks takes an understated relationship and brings life to it; it’s just gorgeous. A fic that led you to making friends with the author: In an Ancient Elvhen World by Mayaiai; her OC Reese has made a few guest appearances in my work and she’s a great friend and a wonderful person.  (She also has her own original published fiction on amazon) Free Space: Reprise by Elfpen (Star Wars, time-travel brilliant and beautifully written series, still on-going really wonderful characters) and Absconding with Harry by obaewankenope an incredible HP/GO crossover featuring everyone’s favourite Snake Demon adopting a local kid who can speak to him when he’s a snake form.  This leads to a new teacher and librarian starting at Hogwarts. A fic you’ve gushed about IRL: And the Brave Man with A Sword by blackkat - Harry Potter time-travel Founders fic; I raved about this to an IRL friend who is also a massive HP fan. A fic you associate with a place: To Intervene by apathyinreverie - an MCU fic that just hits all my buttons and every time I read it I’m transported to the UN watching Tony Stark politic.  It makes me think about the times I got to sit and watch our Parliament sit as well. A fic that made you gasp out loud: Til Kingdom Come by Heronfem - an interesting twist on the DA:I story.  Begins before DA:I and has just some really gorgeous charactersations and incredible moments.  Mind the warnings. A fic you found at the right time: This would be blink (reality shivers) by SparkleMoose - honestly his fic is just everything and I have constantly read the AUs and reveals etc of this fic at 2am when I can’t sleep because it helps me - Ace is a dear boy and deserves all the good things.  FFXV OC-centric with the most excellent Ardyn characterisation A fic that you read fic of:

Looking Glass by Feynite - this is a time-travel post DA:I fic that spawned all sorts of incredible AUs made me laugh, made me cry has so many talented authors and artists doing all sorts of things.  Beautiful OCs, an incredible world

A fic that made you laugh out loud:

What the Frap? by DarthLivion which is a coffee shop AU for Awaken the Stars and is just magnificent and I love it to pieces. I just adore the characterisation and there are so many heart-warming moments as well as the laughing out loud ones.

A fic with a line or two you’ve memorised by heart: “ I survived everything the galaxy could throw at Qui-Gon Jinn, in another life ” “You are a sock drawer thrown in a trash compactor” Both quotes from the incredible The Desert Storm series by Blue_Sunshine ongoing WIP time-travel Star Wars series.  (I have a thing for TT-SW stories I think this makes the third on this list XD) A fic that gave you butterflies:

One of my favourite collaborations - and honestly I was so incredible honoured to have my poetry included in this piece.  Survivors by ShaeTiann, norcumi and myself  like ShaeTiann and Norcumi are both SO AMAZINGLY TALENTED and their fics just MAKE YOU FEEL ALL THE EMOTION.  Besides I’m a sucker for post-66 stories.

A fic that embodies something you value in life: Baba by CrownofPins - a gorgeous Castlevania fic that embodies hope, that shows you cannot always walk alone and that love accepts, love makes room.  It’s really well done and my OT3 besides. A favourite AU: Disconnected series by Katzdecimal, Good Omens AU; a really interesting take on falling, on surviving, on life after the Almost-Apocalypse.  Beautifully written and a go-to fic. A fic you stayed up too late to finish reading: Backslide by blackkat  Naruto time-travel fic that got me suckered into the fandom despite not knowing anything about it.  Finished it in one sitting after starting it at about 10pm - went to sleep at 3.30am exhausted but happy. A fic that made you feel seen: The Balance series by Norcumi and Dogmatix.  There aren’t really words for how I feel about this series but to me it’s about finding a way forward that isn’t what everyone expects; that isn’t the path laid out for you but is the road you’re walking.  It’s about dealing with emotion especially anger.  Star Wars AU which takes off with a Sith!Qui-Gon, who Fell when Maul killed his Padawan on Naboo and then diverges wildly.

You can call me Evie! I’m in my mid-twenties and working in southern California. I have been writing for well over a decade and received a degree in literature, and writing is an amazing source of creativity for me!

I am looking for a fellow nerd who not only wants to inspire each other to write, but will also talk OOC with me about ideas, really world-build together as we collectively squee over our budding stories. I have your basic limits and generally like to play multiple characters, with one or maybe two as the main focus, writing anywhere from a half page to ten pages if the mood strikes me (and we inspire each other to do so!). I’m a bit of a glutton for detail, what can I say? I prefer MxM or FxF as the main pairing, any other types can be thrown in there on the side as well. I am happiest writing through gdocs or email, and chatting in any other way (discord, hangouts, etc). I am also interested in starting a blog, so we can do replies that way if you prefer that!

As far as particular fandoms and ideas, we can discuss what particular pairings and themes you’d like to explore once you contact me! I am generally willing to play most characters in a fandom simply because I’ve done quite a lot of them in the past, and I also absolutely LOVE making our own well-crafted characters to plop into an established world. Let’s scream over our cuties together, yes??

The Witcher - I will die for Jaskier x Geralt, or to create our own idiots for this vast world. I have only seen the series, but I am already a huge fan! Would be thrilled to do something with this!

Twilight - but with less sparkle, MORE GAY, and much better writing 

Marvel - I’m a huge fan of the movies, particularly Tony and Thor, so exploring this world with canon or OC characters would be fun! This is the fandom I have the most history writing in besides Potter, and have written as all the canon characters multiple times. 

Star Trek AOS - Adore these movies, would love to play around with these characters and this world! Royalty AU?? 

Royalty/Fantasy/Medieval - anything that falls under these categories, especially something we craft together, would be a dream. A princess falls in love with her new guard? Werewolves, vampires, and goblins, oh my! Unlimited possibilities!

The Mummy - I’ve never gotten the chance to write anything in this fandom, but would love to explore a similar universe of endearing idiots trying to solve ancient mysteries!

Harry Potter - we can go as far back or as far forward as you’d like, or stick with some good old Hogwarts times, perhaps during a Triwizard Tournament year?

The Man From Uncle - It's been many a year since this wonderful film was released, but I still crave it and write it often! I am a big fan of anything involving Solo and Illya.

Gall Greyraven, Vampire Lord (Warhammer Fantasy AU)

Gall is one of my oldest and most AU’d OCs. His nature as both a barbarian and a semi-hero made him difficult to work into Warhammer fantasy, but I was finally happy with this variation, which let me merge my multiple demo-AUs of him as an Empire soldier, Norscan warlord, etc. as alternate personalities to one very violent and far-travelling man.

In ancient times, at the very dawn of the Empire’s founding, the lines between noble Man and daemonic barbarian were blurred. From a little-known tribe, in a backwater and frozen land, the youth known as Gall spent his time in ignominy. His village was destitute, in the middle of monster-infested fens, with their main sources of food and outside interaction coming in their trade of cheap steel between both the Norscan raiders and southern tribes such as the Udoses. As he grew to warrior’s age, Gall grew restless and desired to see the world, setting off south for fame and fortune. Unfortunately, he was waylaid by an unholy beast, mauled and cursed. Only by the actions of a vampiric questor was he saved, being granted the “gift” of undeath, and tutored in how to survive in his new form.

For many centuries now has the grey traveler walked the wide world, in many guises and under many names, both a raider and a hero. He took upon himself the quest of the Blood Dragons, seeking the means that he might lessen the curse of his vampiric form, or even cure it altogether—for though his life has been long and storied, the corrupted nature of his existence continues to gnaw at Gall’s mind. With the forces of darkness looming and threatening to engulf the world of mortals, the vagabond must soon decide if he will fight for those who despise him, or fall in line with the hordes of the damned that have long called.

Appearance

Gall’s appearance has changed many times throughout the eras, though he has undeniable preferences. One permanence is his Evil Eye, which was inflicted upon him by the dark corruption of the beast that first necessitated his change into a vampire. His eye is both sunken and swollen, pitch black and corrupting. So it is that he often keeps it hidden under a warded and armored eyepatch, as it has the power to fix foes in terror and sap the very will to live from them, though at the expense of inflicting similar madness onto Gall himself. The vagabond has near albino pale skin, with a full dark beard, and a long mane of dark hair. His good eye is an icy grey, and he often dresses in cold, deathly colors, with armor of dark iron and gold. He is a towering man, almost more akin to a Chaos warrior than a southern mortal, though he may pass for the latter with proper effort. He also favors sturdy but sparse plate in the northern style, rather than full plate, and often festoons himself with charms to ward off unwanted magics. Certain altercations to his level of grooming, choice in trinkets, and additions to his armor can see him pass as a southern mercenary, a northern warrior, or stranger and more unsettling airs.

Gall wields the sword Coronach, which was reforged at his behest from the blade of a long-forgotten chieftain, using relics from the chieftain’s body itself. The sword, while inanimate, is possessed of a fragment of that ancient king’s sorrow and lust for vengeance against the foes that laid his people low. The blade is dark and icy, seeking out foes rich with life and sapping them of their strength and will. The more fearsome or magically-imbued the foe, the more the sword strains to drink of their lifeblood. Foes struck with the sword are weakened, making the finishing blow all the easier. Gall’s armor and shield also tend to be imbued with runic wardings, which when coupled with his collection of charms again supplement his formidable defences.

Abilities

Since his early days as a vampire, Gall had eschewed the practice of dark magic, holding a mistrust of sorcerers and a hatred for the Chaos worshippers who often raided his tribe. Instead, he channels the more martial aspects of the vampiric curse, being incredibly durable and resilient above all else. Fast, strong, and experienced as he is, Gall prefers foremost to charge into the thick of battle, protected by his shield and own unstoppable invulnerability, flying into a blood-frenzy that makes him even harder to put down. Notable is his resistance to magic, which he even thirsts for as much as blood. Many a mad shaman has found his dark power fall dead upon being cast on Gall, followed soon by the mage himself. Next to great monsters and famous champions, Gall has a special love for hunting daemons, wizards, and his fellow undead.

Gall, though not a master manipulator or chessmaster, nonetheless possesses more guile than one would expect of such a warrior. Over the centuries, he has infiltrated and traveled in lands where he was far from welcome, convincingly passing himself off as mortal. He has impersonated Norscan chieftains, southern mercenary commanders, shady wizards and rangers, and even (ironically) a witch hunter. The little lore of true magic he does know is often focused on obfuscation or mentalism, which when coupled with his natural resilience has allowed him to travel to many dangerous and fascinating lands.

As he aged, and the bloodlust faded from him, with his experience growing grim and expansive, Gall began to pursue magic more and more. Rather than embrace necromancy, he instead focused more on structured magic like that of the Lore of Shadow. What resulted was a selection of spells and abilities shockingly lacking in the corruption typical of other Dark Acolytes. As he grew more ancient, Gall began to worry about his nature as a monster and thing of unholy nature, seeking ever more a cure, and a means of resisting the forces that seek to claim his soul for damnation. Lore and mystic wisdom has supplemented his experience and endurance, but it has not solved the root problem, and unfortunately, the forces of order are little accepting of a vampire, so what alliances Gall has won are still rare and strained, and not without cause.
