I know Im too young to be bitter about missed chances and stuff but it is my right and boy am I exercising it

#captain’s own #dumb bitch hours #personal logs #it is not entirely fair to be bitter towards my mom about staying home #it was my decision as an adult to live with her after my dad died #but the fact that the past year and a half I have been treated poorly by her #when I moved away from most of my support system (who stayed in New England post grad)#when I gave up the opportunity of a lifetime #and she still thinks I just moved home to save money and I don’t actually care about her #like she doesn’t know and I won’t tell her cause it will upset her too much but I was scouted by a talent agency #they wanted me but I told them I wasn’t planning on going back to NY for at least a year #if I was as selfish and shitty as she thinks I am #I’d be in NY with my friends #Doing extra work and seeing above average improv once a month #okay just needed to rant

What do you think Nick and Sunny's ethnicities are?

I've always somewhat headcanonned Sunny as Japanese-American, and Basil as having at least one European parent, both living in Europe, and an American grandmother. I have no idea where that second headcanon comes from. It's probably me projecting my own French-ness onto my favorite little blorbo -- another explanation is that OMORI seems to be pretty explicitely set in the USA, but Basil's parents are said to travel frequently and Sunny's never seen them in his life... and since it's easier to travel in Europe in my (limited) experience, my brain might've just made the association. Sunny being Japanese-American is a pretty popular headcanon because of his chara-design so I don't feel like I have to explain that one.

Anyway, they both live in France for plot reasons.

#in that last comic i made its said that sunny has an hour and a half of public transport to get there. its important to them growing closer #and ngl from what i'm hearing i dont think that's something that would even be possible in america.#america's public transport system doesn't seem to... be big enough to go for that long.#also: arsenic's AU is massively inspired by some personal elements (not the toxic relationship part don't worry)#and some of these elements just *require* shit to happen in france.#like for instance: sunny lives very far away instead of getting a college dorm...#...because college dorms just aren't really a thing in france. and although sunny doesnt have the money to rent an appartment closer to uni #-he has the money to go to college in the first place... because public unis are practically free here.#there's also no reason for sunny's family to get the story for how he lost his eye...#...because he has public healthcare... so he doesn't need money from his family to pay for it.#so he doesn't *owe* them an explanation and he can just hide it until he has to see them again...#...months later‚ because he's already moved in with nick by this point.#so if i had to change where they live i'd have to do lots of research and adjustments just to make this *vent AU* less relatable to me.#so... not worth it. im keeping the french in ¯\_(ツ)_/¯#arsenic #omori #rant #jesus how many tags is that.#im sorry i Cannot shut up about them

love it when i'm in the middle of a task and realise i really can't be bothered to finish it

#was getting stressed out about needing to pack for uni in the autumn #so decided to combat that by reorganising stuff #but consider: i am far from a minimalist and have a small bedroom and wayyy too many books #so my floor is covered in books as i sort through them and i have more boxes to sort through outside my room #and it is half past four and i have had enough #i've been sorting through things for like two and a half hours #on the upside though i have got a box made up of books i will be taking with me #and it will just be the one. no more. i will have an entire library at my disposal.#and turns out i bought the same copy of wilfred owen's complete poems from two different secondhand places at least two years apart #would love to strip everything back and be brutal with things but alas i'm too emotionally attached to stuff for that #and also have a tendency to keep hold of books that i probably will never read bc of guilt for giving them away without reading them #ahhhhhh #fucking moving places you inhabit man #personal #lit talks

i had a nightmare i was in the zombie apocalypse with my sister and she decided to pull off to the side of the road and 'wait out' the hoard coming right to us to get high and completely dismissed me the whole time I was begging to just keep moving until we got eaten.

ive upgraded to literally having nightmares about the night she did that at the rave. bc she ACTUALLY did that btw. she fought me for a whole hour about leaving while a guy with a gun was tweaking out LOOKING FOR US and knew we were on that bridge.

may we all be blessed with the same amount of confidence possessed by the moving company employee who drove the truck for my interstate move 9 months ago, and who texted me today to ask me out for cocktails and pool while he is in town on a job

#just to clarify #I have not spoken to him since the move #he lives in the state I moved FROM not the state I moved TO #maybe when you are an interstate mover you are like an ancient mariner #a woman in every port and so forth #and when I say 'in town'#I mean 'in a town an hour and a half away but technically in the same state as me'#his audacity was so profound I wasn't even mad #just impressed and mildly baffled #I told him I am going camping three states away and am unavailable #(I have noticed in the past two or three years men are becoming more direct #possibly this is because we are all starting to realize as we age that being coy is merely a waste of time #I appreciate it #a direct inquiry permits a direct response)

i miss this game already

#took me. over 220 hours to finally get through the ending of the game #i kept quitting right before the end and starting a new playthrough #something about act 3 as a whole.#the start of the game is just. so damn fun......#i love creating my character and meeting the companions for the first time. getting to the grove and saving the tieflings #over and over again #im not sure how i feel about the ending. i think my brain is just soup so maybe I'll have thoughts on it later #it was. confusing? fun. unsatisfying? cathartic #i have to stop myself from. going back and trying to change the ending i got.#for the last 3 hours i was just agonising over all these small choices that really. just robbed me from the whole experience #its um. almost 6 am. lol #one thing i can say for sure.#completely unforgettable game. through all its flaws i can definitely name after 220 hours. i still thoroughly enjoyed it #forever altered my brain chemistry #i should. sigh. probably take a break from this game.#at least move on to a different game good lord. bg3 has completely consumed the last month and a half for me #i wont stay away for too long probably. i want to start my dark urge run finally #oh god its 6 am i have not slept at all #ok. goodnight dear followers. so so so tired.#chris noises #bg3

Minho's friend from middle school interviewed him for his YouTube channel this week and shared stories of how Minho has helped him pursue his dream (plus the text conversation that led to the interview).

I hate to be corny, but I really feel that having a friend like Minho must be such a blessing on your life.

Side note: The famous director Minho studied under, according to his friend, is none other than Hong Sangsoo. Hong Sangsoo! I feel like I'm losing my goddamn mind. Minho, you just get cooler by the day.

laying down feels fucking sexual after moving heavy shit around for 5 hours in a row

#wind howls #im in a considerable amount of pain. i do not miss this feeling from my days of cashieering #i wasnt even moving heavy shit around then... just standing for like 8 hours in a row in the same spot #being on the move actually made the pain lessen a bit. i felt a lot more pain at the end when i was just standing there instead of walking #i thought we were only gonna be like 4 people moving half a warehouse filled with bottled water but like 5 others joined us #and that was for loading the uhaul ! considerably more taxing than emptying it #but thankfully for the emptying we were like 11 people because 1 left but 3 more joined us #and oh my god i cannot begin to describe how fucking delectable a veggie pizza tastes after moving shit around for 4 hours.#it was fucking nectar from the gods. and im mostly indifferent when it comes to pizza #anyway. i actually found it all to be fun. most of the stuff we were given is going to the refugee center we tend to donate it all to #we didnt just get water ! we got like. at least 30 full black bags of new clothes that well be able to give away #bunch of food. tons of utilities. lots of good stuffs thatll help people greatly #it feels good !!#i hope im able to continue this kind of volunteering work way after im moved out. it does feel fulfilling even if its so so so tiring #my body is screaming at me forever. laying down feels fucking awesome

It’s move-in day!

#for those unaware- I’ve been moving pretty much this entire latter half of the summer #first my family moved from one house to another on somewhat-short notice #and now I’ve moved into a dorm a handful of hours away because I transferred schools. it feels… weird? not bad just weird #i haven’t really been so far from home for so long before now because i completed the first half of my courses while living at home (due to #- Covid -_-)#hopefully I’ll be able to break out my tablet and scribble soon but classes do start in a few days so… maybe? it’ll have to be a maybe.#also- I only took the first three AF books + the graphic novels with me so if I get anything wrong about the later series in the future just #-bear with me lol.#personal

school hasn’t even started yet and it’s already stressing me tf out

#I failed geometry last semester But Barely #I was eligible for credit repair so I wouldn’t have to completely retake the whole class #BUT my teacher is a complete asshole and refuses to let me do that #I HAVE A HIGH ENOUGH GRADE FOR IT #we’re moving next summer so now I only get three of the extracurricular classes here #which sucks #and me having to retake the class completely completely fucks up my schedule cause I go to two schools. the main one and another one with #really cool classes like film and audio recording and so much more #the normal school is like a half hour away while the cool one is literally one mile from my house #and me retaking the class would make me have to end the school day at the normal school #I get home over an hour later going there! I’m gonna have a job I can’t inconsistently get home around 4-5 Pm #I’ll have no me time no time to do anything and he’ll I might be late for work #literally all of this shit is cause of my asshole teacher refusing to let me do credit repair WHICH IM ELIGIBLE FOR #I literally cried in front of my dad and brother. I don’t cry I’m front of people. that’s how you know it’s bad #I’m not having a good time

donated a bunch of clothes (that are p much like new most of them were gifts from like my grandma that ive never worn but was too sentimental to get rid of but) and books i dont read anymore and somehow i still have zero closet space

Anxiety on this camping trip is really getting to me. Idk man. But sleeping is not happening tonight.

#if you dont know im a girl scout leader #and this weekend my troop is participating in a community wide camping trip #and my troop is so big that we're split into 2 small cabins #which means im in charge of 5 7-8 year olds all on my own #they're my responsibility and my coleader is doing the same thing a couple yards away #something about being the sole person responsible for these 5 kids like at night if something were to happen is..... a lot for me right now #not to mention for like an hour there was either a fox or a fischer cat running around camp SCREAMING #It sounded like someone was straight up getting murdered tbh #and it scared me from being half awake and i was scared it was going to scare my kids but thank god they were asleep #i could literally hear it getting louder and fainter as it moved around camp but it was so loud no matter where it was #i was mostly scared because i couldnt identify it and one of those aforementioned animals is way more dangerous than the other #and also like im sleeping by the door of this little cabin in the woods because i am responsible for these 5 kids!!!#im unfamiliar with this camp and I'm alone and it's freezing and weird animals are outside so i guess i scream into the void!#dont mind me
