i tried wedding impossible on a whim as a palate cleanser, after/during an action/crime drama, not really wanting to watch another rom-com atm, especially with a cheabol element, but i find myself pleasantly surprised after 1 and 3/4 of an episode.

and just like with a few other dramas i digged into (not necessarily watched) i'm confused by the marketing and PR for kdramas?

so often, they bury the lede and do not convey at all what the show is about?! (also, watching trailers for dramas up until covid years - they sucked? most look like trailers for three different shows patched together. i feel netflix helped a lot with that.)

i wonder, if in the case of wedding impossible and branding in seongsu it's about hiding the queer elements? BIS I haven't started yet, as with WI I wasn't interested at all based on what i saw in promo pictures / plot-summaries, that is, until i saw a gifset with a queer pride poster in the background, a clearly queer character and apparently a kinky boots subplot. now i'm for sure gonna give it a try.

i mean, not that shocking considering SK is still very patriarchal, misogynistic and adverse to anything lqbtqia+, but still... i find myself a bit surprised. since you also miss viewers who might watch for exactly these elements.

but maybe these thoughts and that surprise is more of a reflection on my shifting views on the fandom for kdramas, which i initially perceived as progressive and female friendly and recently the blinders seem to come off. don't know. gonna sit with these thoughts for a bit.

RECORDS OF MY RUNS

November 1. 1883.

Today was when I finally decided to leave the town I was inning at. The talk of my birthday heist was over and I was gettin bored where I was. Besides, I got more important matters to tend. Last heist I grabbed said important matters somethin real pretty and I know she'll just love it. One of them rich old ladies was wearing a mighty fine necklace that was red with a bitova purple hue...couldn't think of anything more perfect for her! I can tell I miss her bad. I keep staring at the damn thing and thinkin' of how she's gonna react to such a beaut'. Not knowing quite where she is has been taking a real toll on me. Usually when ya miss a person ya can't see ya send em a letter. But I ain't got an address to write to. So I haven't seen or talked to her in a lil over a year and it's hurting. Man oh man does bein separated suck....

I left that inn today and got on another train. Usually I'd be excited about such things, I fancy ridin the train...but I was just far too sad thinkin about T. That means it's bad...when not even the stupid look on some scared rich man who thinks he's somethin rough and tough'll make me feel better. I'm just so close and I know it and I know it good...yet it all feels like it's so damn far.

Anyhow...the train took me into the next town over. I walked around for a lil while before finding my way to another inn. I ain't got no buisness here aside from moving ahead so I really ain't got a direction, so why not make another home away from home? I went in and asked for a room, got myself set up all over again and headed back down for food and a hard drink. I sat myself at the bar, placed an order and shot some whiskey whiles' I waited for my food. All was peaceful before I heard that conversation behind me....Some good for nothin guy was talkin.

"I went to the brothel the other night and was stuck with some ugly and mean broad." Boy, that alone made me upset but then he continued with "Worst part is she didn't even give me what I was paying for! I fell asleep all sudden and next thing I know all my stuff was gone! That ugly whore stole everything for me!" I had to restrain my anger as I whipped my head and asked "She didn't happen to be yeh high and have blonde, thick hair with some dark patches towards the top...did she?" "Yeah! She wore and all red outfit, bout the shade of your there flannel. That stupid thing steal from you too?!" "No...and don't talk about her like that." "Don't talk ab-?! That sonnova bitch stole from me, what is you, deaf?!" "No, I ain't deaf! And shut your filthy trap! I betcha just upset cause ya got showed up by a gal! Had I'd done that to ya you'd be yellow! Shakin!" "No I'm upset cause that lil-" "-Watch it." "-That lil sk-" "WATCH IT." "Because that lil skank didn't give me a bit of what I paid for!" I finally lost and swung at him, square in the jaw. He hopped on me and startin swinging himself. I flipped us over and almost had him but then his friends hopped in on me. That's when I finally did what I hadda...I hate doin it but they would tore me apart. I went for my pocket and whipped my gun out before shouting "GET OFFA ME!" and pointed it to his chest. Everyone stopped and stared at us. "I bet it ain't loaded." I lightly squeezed the trigger and pressed a lil firmer. "Wanna make that bet, buck?" He stared at me for minute before finally lettin' me go. "Now, imma ask real nicely and imma only nicely ask once! Where do you live?!" "What?!" "I SAY WHERE DO YA LIVE?!" I shouted in his face and pressed my gun to his face before he gave me directions. Had she had the time she would left me a clue, something. She's real smart like that. I tore outta there and fast. I ran, practically galloped to the guys place an started tearing apart his whole damn house. That was when I finally found what I was lookin for. Under his mattress wassa note she left me.

God she's so damn smart.

The note gave me details. Details on her safety and where her next stop was gonna be. I couldn't of been happier.

I went back to the inn, gathered my things and hit the next train. I kept that note in my left flannel pocket with a bitova smile on my face now. I'm gettin close...real close. I just hope she won't be mad at me for uh...hurtin a random civilian....

Recently, in Quora I saw a person bashing Sakura's love for Sasuke. She says that Sakura was so selfish and she doesnt deserve him. Karin deserved him because she was selfless.

Then s/he showed an instance where Kakashi and Obito saved Sasuke and use that as an evidence to tell that Sakura never cared for Sasuke despite she tried to save his life for so many times.

This was that person's thoughts.

Can you debunk this? 😜

But, I will debunk this one for you.

In Naruto Series, If not Naruto, then it should be Karin.

I have always wondered, when these people make comments like this, do they take Sasuke's feelings into consideration? Because if Sasuke ever gets to read any of this horseshit he will be like -

I guess his expressions speak for themselves.

Sakura doesn't deserve Sasuke a bit, she only ripped the fruits of Naruto's efforts.

First, Sasuke is not a "fruit" to be ripped 😂.

Second, Was this Anon sleeping in this scene?

Does this Anon know how Konoha finally got to know about Sasuke's whereabouts after 3 years? It was because Sakura was willing to "blow off her arms and legs" and get herself stabbed. Just to KNOW ABOUT SASUKE'S WHEREABOUTS. And this was just the beginning of Shippuden, She still continued to try save him, even after he tried to kill her, She never gave up on him. It's explicitly mentioned in the manga.

Also, The next time someone decides to compare Naruto with Sakura, please tell them that THIS SHOW IS CALLED "NARUTO", NOT "SAKURA". He is the one who is SUPPOSED TO TURN EVERY ANTAGONIST TO PROTAGONIST. (Neji,Gaara,Nagato, Sasuke)

Just because it was Naruto, who ultimately saved Sasuke, doesn't mean that Sakura's efforts meant nothing. If it meant nothing, Sasuke wouldn't have thanked her again and again.

Also, by this Anon's logic, Hinata, Konoha, Sasuke and the ENTIRE FIVE SHINOBI NATIONS are ripping fruits from Naruto's efforts. And their efforts during War mean absolutely Nothing.

Sakura and other academy girl's reasons for having crushes on Sasuke that "He's so cool and hot and he can do anything!"

But the reason Karin had a crush on Sasuke in the first place because he saved her from a large bear and smiled at her for a second back in the chunin exams.

I feel like SK fans are TROLLING THEMSELVES whenever they bring up this point.

How does it matter who had a better reason to "start crushing on" someone ? Also, since this anon brought this up, "who has a better reason to love bullshit", Just answer me this question.

Karin's life has been a living hell. She lost her family and her clan, had to watch her mother die from healing too many people at once, and then Karin was forced to become a healer in her mother's place and has been physically abused and bitten by grown men against her will. And then Orochimaru has been experimenting on her, but she has no choice, because she has no family left and nowhere left to go

The fact that Karin's Ufe in an horrible that a simple act of kindness moved her heart. At Karin's darkest time Sasuke is what reminded her that there is indeed good left in the world, somewhere, and it can even smile at someone like her

So... Where did this Anon get this story from?? This was clearly not in manga. Or at least I never read this in manga.

Also... How does this sobstory make Karin a better wife or a better lover to Sasuke than Sakura? This Anon is not making any sense.

But, There is a huge difference between Team 7 and Taka. Naruto and Sakura were Sasuke's family. Karin was not.

All these efforts go to drain because you don't have a Kyuubi sealed inside you.

Also...Sasuke is a complete fool who goes around thanking and poking random people who did "absolutely nothing for him".

Even kakashi was ready to die for sasuke, she was right beside obito Why didn't she run to save her

I mean it's not like She couldn't have just popped out of the Sketch and saved Sasuke, if she really wanted to save him.

Completed - !!!!!!! this was so much better than I anticipated and it was an amazing premise for the show that starts this Friday!!! It's basically a recap of what happened in TTSS2, plus a few additional scenes. I loved it!!! -> STREAM

- The Best Story - July 9th (TH)

Completed - This one was unexpected but really good. YinWar were amazing and it had a bit of an alternative filming and production style. The ending was not to everyone's liking but I thought it was well done. -> STREAM

- The Yearbook - July 15th (TH)

Currently airing (3/10) - Not watching this one bc of time reasons lol but it seems really nice. It tells the story of 2 childhood friends who drifted apart and meet again. From watching the trailer it gave me a lot of itsay vibes. -> STREAM

Currently airing (3/6) - This one is interesting. It took me some time to get back into the style of japanese bls since I haven't seen one in a while lol and while the first 2 episodes took some getting used to for me, it's gotten a lot better! It's cute and funny and has a nice music plot! -> STREAM

- Call It What You Want SS2 - July 23rd (TH)

Currently airing (3/6) - ngl this has been a bit hard to watch due to some triggering plots and moments but all in all it's a decent continuation for season 1! Marco and Bas are all worth it lol -> STREAM

Currently airing (2/10) - Not watching this one but I heard some good things :) -> STREAM

- Gameboys: The Movie - July 30th (PH)

A very long post about RBW and Mamamoo

If you follow Mamamoo news, recently eSNa, a former RBW artist who collaborated with Mamamoo on Aah Oop! shared her story and the mistreatment she received from RBW. She was taken out of her own project, the song she wrote and made and was basically pushed aside by the company because of a few negative comments. Here the link if you are interested:

RBW Entertainment was never considered a good company. Their mistreatment and complete underestimation of Mamamoo has been brought up so many times. The worst is their complete oblivion and ignorance towards hate comments and the constant harassment Mamamoo (especially Hwasa) receives on a daily. Never have they cleared rumors and false narratives, it was always on us. We can't silence all the hate. We can't clear all misunderstandings and we can't clear Mamamoo's name. They never used Mamamoo's full potential and half-assed their projects so many times and if it weren't for Mamamoo's insane charisma and talent, they wouldn't have made it this far. Yeah, RBW did "well" at the beginning but half of the time they didn't do shit. Constantly, their new projects are hijacked by antis and false narratives are spread. The recent one with Hwasa being disrespectful towards Nigerians was HUGE. And people till this day speak on it, even though it was cleared and explained. She was not wearing ANY African traditional clothing, yet people still trend Hwafricana or whatever and RBW still hasn't said A WORD. Wheein's recent collabs and solos haven't been promoted AT ALL (please show love to her new feature on Peakboy's Diet). She announced new songs she wrote in 2017 and we still haven't heard them. I get people defending RBW because they give Mamamoo space and creative freedom and I support that. However, with better management Mamamoo would have reached such immense success and it is mindboggling to me that someone actually questioned their potential. Mamamoo themselves are unsure and too humble if you ask me, but it's very understandable coming from a background where your boss calls you ugly and tells you to do better to compensate for it. I mean, they are wonderful human being and literally trend- setting artists in SK. In six years, no effort was made by RBW to help them get international recognition. Most of imoos found them by accident.

Even though they now try to appeal to international audiences, they do the bare minimum and it's mostly Mamamoo and moomoos who give 150% to compensate for RBW's lack of promotion and catering toward non-Korean speakers.

I am so sick of some bs they pull. I agree that some companies are way worse and none is perfect but RBW would be at the top with Bighit, only if they did a bit better. Thank God Mamamoo works with amazing producers like Park Woosang - show him some love here is his official channel:

He basically did 80% of the work with producing, filming and delivering Mamamoo solo and group activities. I mean, is my dude even paid enough for it?? I am really mad at RBW for slacking off so much. I don't want to attack all of the people there, because most work so hard and do their very best. But the managment, the public relations sector, the CEO? You are doing a very bad job guys, just saying it again if it wasn't clear enough. On top of that I have no trust in them that they are going to promote Mamamoo well after the new girl group Purple Kiss debuts. Especially if their debut is a success. (I still wish them the best ofc)

I am not quick to wish Mamamoo would change companies. I have witnessed it too many times where a group disbanded and continued with solo activities after their contracts ended. There are only few, if at all, instances where all members succeeded in those pursuits. I mean, take 2ne1. At one point they were the biggest girl group in the world, along with Girls generation. And now? Literally pushed away and abandoned by YG. Bom had such a hard time coming back. Minzy is still struggling. Dara barely does any music and CL independently released stuff that didn't do as well at it should have. And they were the very top. I hate to break it to you, but in SK you need a good company. Not everyone can pull an IU. I really do believe that Mamamoo members would all do well and still meet up but they couldn't continue as Mamamoo. Literally even if they just changed labels, they would lose rights to their name and songs they made. I only wish them the best and support what is best for them, but I, as any other moomoo, would be heartbroken. Not only that, but Mamamoo is now at the peak and they are going even further in their careers. Every CB is better. Honestly just thinking about award shows without Mamamoo makes me sad. I'd only watch it for BTS and Monsta X, but they also need to do militarily service. Girl groups have a good shot at having successful and long careers, but all this is just making me sad and frustrated.

I hope RBW does better. I hope Mamamoo is happy and healthy and I hope they do what they want. At the end, moomoos can only wish for an outcome that is truly best for the girls. Hopefully it is a bright future with Mamamoo, but we still have to wait and see

Darren Criss and underappreciated SK's

Now now, I know I'm going to get attacks from the title alone but hear me out.

I love Darren I swear he's absolutely incredible BUT ( yes I know here come the stans) he gets talked about the most out of all the SK's, besides maybe Joe Walker (who is amazing) and Lauren Lopez ( yes).

There are so so many more fantastic, talented people that either go underappreciated or maybe unseen by people who don't really know a whole lot about SK. Completely understandable so don't feel like I'm coming to attack you, think of me as a helpful wizard..

I'm not going to name everyone but I'll try and get to as many as possible.

JOEY RICHTER.

Possibly one of the best SK's (imo)

Joey may not be extremely famous or whatever but he's grown a lot since Me and My Dick ( please if you haven't seen it go on the StarKid YouTube page and watch it).

I'm sure most of you know him for his sidekick work in AVPM as Ron but what you don't know is he's played lead roles outside this, I recommend looking him up to see what he's been in. I may or may not be slightly bias when it comes to lil Joey here because he's absolutely adorable and funny. I could go on forever but I'm going to make it a bit shorter, i do recommend looking him up or just starting with MAMD. He's gorgeous and extremely talented.. he's deserves a lil more love.

BRIAN HOLDEN

He's precious.

Brian, along with all of the writers, is a brilliant, talented, dad. No this isn't a kink thing it's a he literally just looks like a dad and sometimes he acts corny like one If you've ever seen interviews. He's lovely though, really. He writes a lot of the material for the shows ( with other people obviously it's not just him) on top of being a hilarious actor ( ME AND MY DICK) and having an amazing singing voice, contrary to the rumors Lupin can't sing he definitely can and he will always make you laugh for sure.

BRIAN ROSENTHAL

This is going to be a bit shorter because I can hear people screaming 'SQUIRREL'. He's one of those actors who plays quite a few people and he plays them well in whatever he's in.

He's adorable and I cannot stress how amazing of an actor he is. He's one of my favs up there with Joey and I know he doesn't get even love so look him up or just go watch the AVPM series.

NICK LANG

OK HERE WE GO.

I'm going to crying typing this out but a lot of you may not actually know who Nick is and thats perfectly ok I'm about to explain it. Nick has directed all of the productions the team has done and co-written them as well (with other members of the team). Not only is he a fantastic writer he's also hilarious as Arthur Weasley in AVPM(sequal). He's played quite a few other roles but he's very well known for his writing along with several others including Matt Lang (just..look him up for the love of everything magical). I could go on about Nick forever because he's so talented and sweet but just see for yourself.

Ok people I haven't mentioned that are definitely worth looking up are;

Dylan Sanders, Jamie Lyn Beatty, Jim Povolo, MEREDITH STEPIEN, and AJ Holmes💕💕
