Ultimate clairvoyant!Taka
Wow congrats. You just found the worst possible talent for Kiyotaka Ishimaru. I'm impressed.
Fair warning this is very long. I got excited.
Listen It's the worst talent for him and I adore that. He's all about hard work and effort, working hard instead of relying on 'talent'. And yet he has a supernatural ability that he neither earned nor can really work hard at.
Taka would definitely feel guilt or shame over his ability, because what has he done to earn it? Why should he have some magic ability that gives him an unfair advantage? And even if he rarely used the ability, he'd always feel like a cheater, just some genius.
I can absolutely see Toranosuke being the first to catch onto Taka's ability. Like maybe he's watching a local election on TV while Taka's in the room, and jokingly asks the 5 year old who he thinks will win. Taka pauses for a moment, before very confidently picking one of the candidates. And...he's right.
And if it were a one time thing, you could easily write it off. He had a 50% chance to be right after all. But Toranosuke's interest is peaked. So he tries again, maybe lets Taka guess the winning numbers on a lottery ticket. The boy is right again.
Maybe this is what causes the scandal in this au? Toranosuke starts making perfect investments, so perfect that people suspect his abusing his position to get insider information. After all, how can he so perfectly predict when to invest, or when to sell his stock?
At this point, he can either claim to just be very good at what he does, which won't convince anyone...or he can tell the truth about his grandson. And really, what's the downside of doing that? It proves he isn't abusing his power (at least not in the way they're accusing him of), and it GIVES him more power. Because if Kiyotaka really does have this ability, then everyone is going to want to talk to the boy.
So Toranosuke proves without a shadow of a doubt that Taka can predict things, likely on national television. It's...a pretty big freaking deal, because it straight up proves that supernatural things are real.
Takaaki is very much out of the loop on this whole thing. The first he hears about Taka's ability is when his father's is dragging the boy on television to prove it. Takaaki is...unhappy that his father would do that without warning him, to say the least.
So Taka basically becomes a child god to some people. Politicians pay ridiculous amounts of money to get predictions and advice from this 7 year old boy. There's a legit cult that worships Taka. Maybe even a few kidnapping attempts, because who wouldn't want the boy who can predict the future?
Takaaki doesn't like that such a young boy is getting dragged into this kind of stuff. It's unhealthy, and some of Taka's 'followers' are obsessive and extreme in what they'll do. A 7 year old shouldn't have worshipers.
But even as his father, Takaaki has very little power to stop what's happening. It's an entire movement, with billions of yen involved and millions of people. The fact that Taka is his son doesn't have much sway at that point. The best he can do is make sure Toranosuke doesn't exhaust his son by keeping him up all night making predictions.
As for Taka, I'm sure he loves it at first. He's helping his grandfather! He's making so many people happy! And people like him and give him things! What little kid wouldn't like it?
But as he gets older, Taka begins to question if it's really a good thing. Because some of the people he's helping don't seem to be good people. They're politicians who aren't helping people, or businessmen who are abusing the information he gave them. And the older Taka gets the more he questions if what he's doing is right.
I definitely want this Kiyotaka empire to fall somehow. Maybe the stress of the position, the fear that he's doing the wrong thing, finally gets to Taka. And his dad knows that Toranosuke won't do what's best for the boy's mental health. So he takes Taka and runs, moving into some small run down town in the middle of nowhere, praying that nobody will recognize them.
Once they've escaped the spotlight, Taka starts doing what you'd expect from him. Working hard at school, joining the morals committee, generally being a teacher's pet, ect. Perhaps he feels like he has to make up for being a tool for corrupt politicians, for having a special edge up on others that he didn't earn.
He tries his best to ignore his powers, but the fact that he doesn't want to be a clairvoyant doesn't mean he isn't one. And going from using his powers constantly to never using them does have its consequences.
Taka doesn't want to magically know which student was going to run in the hall, or who was going to try to sneak out and smoke during lunch. It's immoral of him to abuse his powers like that, even if he is right! But he does know, and he can't just sit by and let the rules be broken, even if he got to information through unjust means.
I can also see him starting to sleepwalk at some point, because all that magical energy isn't just going to stay dormant. Takaaki is very used to his son walking into his room at 3 am, and telling him to invest in some company or another. Then just...flopping on the ground like a puppet whose strings were cut. Takaaki’s gotten very good at catching him before that happens, though he’s considering buying his son a helmet to sleep in just in case.
But even for all their hiding, Taka's absolutely going to be found sooner or later. He was known as the most powerful boy in Japan, he can't just disappear without people hunting him down. Plus Taka has a very distinctive face, with the bright red eyes and huge eyebrows.
Maybe that's why he accepted a position at HP. Not because he wants anything to do with his power, but because he wants his father not to have to deal with all of the madness surrounding it. If Taka leaves, the cult following, the constant hounding, the pursuit, goes with him. Takaaki can have a normal life.
(Also, imagine how heartbreaking and infuriating it would be for Taka to get that invitation. Because this Taka has worked just as hard as canon Taka. He got perfect grades through hard work, because he knows that magically knowing the answers isn't the same as understanding the material. He's just as hard working, just as qualified for the role of Ultimate Moral Compass. And yet he's recognized for something that he can't control. He's recognized for genius rather than effort.)
Final few statements, because golly this has gotten long. I do think Taka's powers work differently than Hiro's. Taka doesn't get quite as many predictions as Hiro, but when he does get them, they're 100% accurate.
While Taka probably can predict anything, most of his predictions specifically involve politics, economic trends, and things involving breaking rules. It's likely because that's what he's interested in, so that's where his predictions focus.
Now I'm thinking about Kiyotaka and Kyoko working together on a case. Taka can predict what'll happen before it does happen, and Kyoko has the ability to solve the case with the help of Taka's predictions.

Tropical Vacation pt. 1
Hey hi hello! So I'm going to be starting to post the 50 follower special over the course of this week, I have proof read 10,000 words worth of writing so hopefully by the time I have all the parts already written posted, I'll have the rest of it done or almost done!
There aren't any real tickles In this part because I was setting up for the rest of the story, but there's a close encounter near the end. Next part will have lots of tickles!
Characters In this part: Makoto, Leon, Mondo, Chihiro, Taka, Sakura, Hina, Hiro, Celeste, Kyoko
Words: 1,944
PT 1: [You are here.], PT 2: [Click here.]
It was a normal day In Hope’s peak academy-- If there was ever such a thing. The students were gathered In the dining hall eating breakfast as they normally do and chatting amongst themselves.
The energy was pretty calm today, Hiro cheerfully pointed out upon arriving, only to be told not to jinx them.
But alas, all good things must come to an end.
“Hey, do you hear something?” Makoto asked hesitantly. Kyoko nodded and closed her eyes momentarily, focusing on the odd sound.
“It sounds like… Ocean waves.” She concluded, her lavender eyes scanning the room curiously.
“Ocean waves? Why would we be hearing the ocean?” Makoto pondered aloud.
“Hina, Is that not what It sounds like to you?” Kyoko asked the swimmer, who had perked up at the mention of the ocean.
“You’re totally right! I hear It too!” She agreed.
Leon looked to his left where a speaker was attached to a support beam. “It’s coming from over here. Don’t tell me, Monokuma…” he trailed off with a heavy sigh.
As if he were Beetlejuice and his name had been mentioned 3 times, a wild Monokuma appeared from out of seemingly nowhere. “I thought you students might benefit from a change in scenery! I wouldn’t want you getting TOO depressed, You might get too depressed to kill anyone!”
The whole room heaved a collective sigh. “For the last fuckin’ time, We aren’t going to kill one another! So you can go fuck yourself!” Mondo snapped.
“But Robots don’t have the right parts for that!” Monokuma retorted, looking dejected. “How could you be so cruel? Pointing out my insecurities like that…”
“Yeah yeah, This Is great banter and all but--” Leon wasn’t about to sit through another hour of Mondo and Monokuma going back and forth, not after the last time. “What the hell do you mean, ‘Change of scenery’?”
“Good question, Kirishima!” Monokuma responded. “Oh, Whoops, Wrong series!”
“Has Monokuma finally lost it?” Hiro whispered. “What’s he talking about? Series?”
“I dunno... Did Monokuma ever have It to begin with, Man?” Leon whispered back.
“Anyway!” Monokuma cleared his nonexistent throat. “I thought I would liven your surroundings up with some ambience for a while, What do you think? Pretty realistic huh? You can practically feel the ocean breeze right?”
Makoto exchanged glances with Kyoko, not trusting this little shit for a second. “That’s It?”
“What? Were you expecting more?” Monokuma asked, tilting his head.
“There’s not going to be like a shark In the pool or anything… Right? This is it?” Hina asked hesitantly.
“Don’t give him ideas.” Makoto said, exasperated.
“Eh? Why would I do that? I want you to kill each other, Not become shark bait!” The bear retorted. “If you don’t believe me, go check around the school. I don’t have time to explain my feng shui to you, I have places to be!”
As abruptly as he appeared, He disappeared In an annoyed huff. Leaving the dining hall confused.
“So, Does everyone else think he’s using paranoia as a motive again or Is It just me?” Leon asked in a deadpan tone, a few students nodded in agreement.
“I for one would welcome a change in pace! Perhaps he is legitimately concerned for our mental health!” Taka spoke up. “We should absolutely check out the school after breakfast to see what’s changed!”
“T-Taka… Bro…” Mondo sighed. “Monokuma don’t give a shit about us, This Is obviously a trick.”
“What did he mean by that?” Chihiro asked quietly. “He has places to be?”
“He was probably just bullshitting us as usual.” Leon replied.
Kyoko hummed quietly, skeptical. She had also caught that unusual dialog line.
“Let us finish breakfast and then go look around.” Celeste suggested, taking a sip of her tea.
Everyone agreed and the energy of the room returned to It’s previous lightheartedness.
Upon exiting the room afterwards, the students noticed inflatable palm trees and random piles of sand scattered across the common area.
Makoto stared at the ‘decor’ In awkward silence, there’s no way it could be this harmless… right?
“It appears as though Monokuma really did do some redecorating…” Kyoko hummed thoughtfully, though not fully convinced of the remodel either.
“It’s…” Hina trailed off, an inflatable Monokuma wearing a grass skirt catching her eye.
“Tacky?” Leon suggested, kicking one of the Monokuma decorations out of his way.
She eyed a giant inflatable flamingo as she replied. “Kind of cute? I mean, At least It’s different.”
“Different, It certainly Is…” Sakura mumbled, sticking by Hina’s side just in case any of these inflatable beach toys decided to spring to life like Monokuma and try to attack the Swimmer.
“I think It looks fuckin’ stupid!” Mondo scoffed.
“Not just that, Monokuma has completely made a mess with all of this sand everywhere!” Taka seemed more outraged about the mess than the ominous looming threat.
“Sakura-- Look at that!” Hina pointed excitedly at a massive flamingo floaty. You could literally fit multiple people on it. “It’s so cute! I’m so gonna put this in the pool!”
“Hina, What do you need an inflatable this large for?” Sakura sighed. “You don’t even use them.”
“So that we can both chill on it together and pretend we’re at the beach, Duh!” Hina giggled, The martial artist couldn’t help but smile and shake her head at that.
She was about to say something in response but felt something light land on her head, She instinctively grabbed it and inspected it. It was a pink lei. “What the… Where did this come from?”
“The fuck?” Mondo grabbed a blue lei off of his shoulder.
Hina perked up as a yellow lei landed in her hands. She looked up in the direction It came from to see Chihiro standing atop a massive duck floaty that was similar in size to the flamingo. In their hands they had several more lei’s.
“Chihiro, where did you find those? These are so cute!” Hina squealed, happily putting the lei on.
Chihiro giggled. “I found them sitting in a box next to the door.” They replied, smiling.
Sakura and Mondo both looked up at Chihiro in silence for a moment as they both processed what they were looking at. But once they did…
“CHI!” Mondo yelled, alarmed.
“Chihiro!” Sakura gasped.
“Y-Yeah?” Chihiro asked meekly, startled by the unusual reaction from their friends.
“What are you doing up there??”
“Get down from there right now before ya fall and hurt yourself!”
“What are they now, Chihiro’s parents?” Leon asked, exasperated.
“I mean, If I had to pick anyone here to be my parents, I’d pick these two.” Makoto chuckled quietly.
Chihiro frowned and went to climb off of the duck’s head but they stumbled and squeaked as they went crashing towards the floor.
Mondo dove for the small programmer but Sakura had already seen they were gonna fall so she had taken off in their direction.
Sakura managed to catch them in her arms but didn’t anticipate Mondo also diving for them, she figured Mondo would have seen she was already on it but evidently not.
Mondo ended up colliding with Sakura and the two went tumbling to the floor, luckily Chihiro hadn’t been collateral because Sakura had just put them down.
“OW FUCK!”
“Ugh…”
Leon and Hiro both cracked up laughing at the two, but quickly stopped when Taka and Hina sent them death glares.
Mondo laid there, winded. His upper half was draped across Sakura, She had tried to catch him to break his fall but underestimated how much momentum he’d built up and they both ended up hitting the floor a few times whilst they tumbled.
“Oh no! Are you guys okay?!” Chihiro gasped, rushing over to them with teary eyes. “I’m so sorry! I didn’t think anyone would get hurt!”
“Hurt? Who says... we’re hurt?” Mondo tried to put the programmer at ease, mustering up a lopsided grin. “I’m fine, what about you Sakura?”
She was silent for a moment, Most likely also winded from hitting the floor so hard.
“Sakura?” Mondo repeated, pushing himself up off of her, his hand brushing against her side. Her eyes snapped open, suddenly very alert as she jerked upwards into a sitting position.
“Y-Yes. I’m fine too.” She blushed, her arms wrapping around herself self consciously.
Mondo made a confused face. “What’s wrong? Ya hit your head?”
“No, I… Nevermind.”
Chihiro’s face scrunched with confusion too as they replayed what had just happened in their head. Then they realized. “Ohh! I think I know!”
“What Is It?” The Biker asked, turning his head to look at the small student.
“I-It’s nothing. I suppose I’m just a little bit winded from you landing on me.” She said calmly, her face unreadable.
“Well… That could be too…” They mumbled, thinking over It more carefully.
Suddenly, Hina began laughing, as she had apparently figured out what happened. “Oh my god! Mondo! Dude she--”
“Hina!” Sakura interjected quickly, sensing danger. “Don’t even think about It!”
“Will someone just tell me what the fuck is going on!?” Mondo snapped.
“I can’t say It, Because Sakura might kill me If I do.” Hina snickered.
Chihiro sat down next to the Martial artist. “Are you hurt…?” they asked quietly, putting their hand carefully on her side.
She flinched visibly and looked at the small student, blushing. “N-No. I’m fine, Really.” she tried to reassure them. Because she was too busy worrying about Chihiro, she didn’t catch the look of realization across Mondo’s face. Ohhh and the evil grin that followed…
“Sakura, Don’t tell me…” Mondo grinned as the white haired student looked back at him. “Are you ticklish?”
She recognized the almost predatory look in his eyes, and quickly put distance between them by backing up then rising to her feet. “No.” she responded In a serious tone.
Mondo stood up and was slowly advancing towards the slightly nervous woman. “I think you’re lying~”
“Taka!” Sakura said suddenly. “I think Mondo’s bleeding.”
“What!?” Taka was quickly in front of his Kyoudai, checking him for injuries, also effectively standing in his way.
“Wh-what? No-- Taka I’m fine! She’s tricking you!” Mondo stammered, incredulous that Taka would fall for such an obvious trick.
“Trick or not, I need to make sure you’re okay!”
This gave Sakura a chance to get away from the biker, sneaking past back to the safety of her room.
Once Taka was sure that Mondo wasn’t bleeding, he backed off. “Ogami! This isn’t fuckin’ over!” He called down the hall in vain.
“I believe It Is!” She called back, Hina was nearly on the floor laughing her ass off.
“S-Sorry Kyoudai…” Taka meekly apologized.
Mondo sighed. “It’s fine. You were just worried.”
Taka was about to say something else but felt a lei being placed around his neck, he looked down at it in surprise. It was red to match his eyes. “Ch-Chihiro?” he stammered, turning around to face the Programmer.
“I saved the red one for you, there was only one in the box and I thought it would look the best on you.” They smiled.
Taka teared up at the kind gesture. “Th-Thank you! I shall treasure this for as long as I shall live!”
Chihiro giggled as they hugged the strict student, making him even more teary as he returned the hug.
“Using Taka against Mondo to escape Is really smart…” Leon said quietly to Makoto and Hiro.
“Yeah, How come we never thought of that?” Hiro replied.
“That would require you all to have a functioning brain in your heads.” Celeste smiled as they gave her pointed looks.
Kyoko smirked at this, apparently agreeing with Celeste’s sentiment.

Enter, Mighty!
Mighty may be a Bugster, or he may not be. No one really knows. All anyone can tell, at this point is that he's a silent gremlin.
AO3: https://archiveofourown.org/works/31103147
"Ah... Emu?" Poppy inquired, "What's that in your arms?"
Situated in Emu's arms, like one might hold a stuffed animal, was a familiar looking pink shape, with spikey hair and big eyes. The... Mighty... Was kicking his feet around, like a child sitting on a big person chair, his hands wrapped around Emu's arms. Mighty peered up at her, silent, but seeming like he was judging.
"This is... Mighty. I think." Emu responded, looking down at Mighty in his arms. At that, Mighty began to wiggle, until Emu let him go and he jumped down to the ground. "Not sure where he came from though? I think he's a Bugster... But he just sort of showed up in my kitchen this morning?"
Poppy had been looking at Mighty, but when Emu had began explaining, looked up at him. When he finished, she shot him a curious expression, "In your kitchen?"
"Yeah..." Rubbing the back of his neck, Emu sighed, "He really startled me."
"But how?"
"I have no clue."
There was a boing! And soon Mighty had jumped onto the table, leveling the two with his only expression. Poppy and Emu turned there attention to him, as though he might be able to say something. Though he, as he always seemed, was quiet.
"So..." Emu began, after a moment of silence, though he didn't dare take his eyes away from Mighty, "What should we do with him?"
Taking a moment to think, Poppy responds, "Well, we should keep him here. To keep him out of trouble," She said, "Though if he's a Bugster..."
"Then he should be someone's Bugster."
Poppy nods, "But for now he'll just have to stay here, until we figure it out." At this point, Mighty seemed to have gotten bored, sat down on the table, his eyes closed.
As they went about their day, the two had forgotten about Mighty, and though Poppy had told the director about the newest Bugster, they hadn't mentioned it to anyone else.
Which meant that when Hiro had entered the CR that day, he'd found only one odd thing. What he thought was a plush of Mighty. He assumed Poppy or Emu had left it there, it was something either of the two would probably have - Poppy because it's cute, Emu because of his Gashat, if nothing else. So he payed it little mind.
At least until he looked away and it was gone.
Now if Hiro were a more superstitious man, he'd have been rather freaked out. But Hiro was not superstitious, not in the slightest. So while it was odd that the Mighty plush had disappeared, he chose to disregard it. Perhaps he's simply been mistaken and it'd never been there at all. Or maybe it'd just fallen - it had been near the edge of the table.
So Hiro continued on, sitting down with a slice of cake. As he went about eating, he'd occasionally hear an odd sound, but he could never find the source. He decided that he was probably just imagining it, the Bugsters that have been appearing might have been getting to them.
Something lands on the ground and rolls to his feet, some kind of empty can. It catches Hiro's attention, prompting him to lean down and pick it up. He wasn't really sure where'd it come from or how it had even fallen.
Belip!
At the strange sound, Hiro sits back up and turns towards it source, the table. There, standing behind the Hiro's plate was Mighty. The very same one that had been on the table earlier. The plate though, was lacking something. The remains of Hiro's cake had disappeared, leaving the only answer to it's disappearance being Mighty. Mighty, who looked at him with an equally non-expressive face as Hiro was looking at him.
Mighty, who isn't real.
It was about then that he heard the tell-tale footstep of Poppy and Emu entering the CR. Perhaps they might have an explanation, or at least be able to help him get rid of this pink gremlin.
"Oh, Hiro!" Poppy exclaimed, "You've met Mighty!"
"Mighty," Hiro repeats slowly, "And where did Mighty come from?"
Sheepishly, Emu explained, "He showed up in my kitchen this morning?" He hadn't meant for it to sound like a question, but given the look Hiro was giving him... Well it wasn't much different from Hiro's normal expression, but still.
"This morning?"
"Emu brought him here," Poppy explained, "The director thinks we should keep him here so he can't cause trouble. We think he's a Bugster."
"We, ah, we forgot to tell you, didn't we?" Emu realized, hoping that he wouldn't be on the sole receiving end of Hiro's ire.
"You did."
"He ate my cake, I believe."
Poppy frowned and marched over to Mighty, "Mighty! You can't go eating Hiro's cake!"
Mighty didn't respond, instead just hopped down off the table and into a chair, sitting down on it. He almost seemed like a human, not the strange ball with hair and limbs that he was. It was hard to tell what he was thinking, since he only had eyes and didn't speak.

She may be looking for Sonia Nevermind, the Ultimate Princess, or Gundham Tanaka, the Ultimate Breeder. They're both into dark occult stuff. They're also in the same class as Chiaki and Ryota. I think they're pretty close friends, so if you find one you'll probably find the other not far off.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Princess!?" Hiro repeats, his eyes widening. "There's a princess at this school!?"
"As amazingly cool as that is-" Leon says, trying to bring them back on topic. "-this Gundham dude....Why would a...breeder know about occult bullshit?"
"The same reason a princess would?" Hiro mutters under his breath.
Chihiro furrows his brow in thought, the small boy looking very worried. "W-well, Mukuro did say it had nothing to do with his talent." He reminds them. "So perhaps it's a hobby of his?"
"Well, regardless, this is all we have to go on, and you guys havent been wrong yet!" Leon says determinedly, flashing the spirits a grin. "Since Mukuro specifically said 'he', we should check up on this Gundham weirdo first. So hurry the hell up, Hiro! Look up this Gundham guy!"
The clairvoyant nods and does as he was told, looking up a picture of Gundham Tanaka. When he finds one he stares at it in surprise. "This...this guy works with animals?" He asks, stunned.
Leon looks over his friend's shoulder and raises a brow. "Damn. Yeah, he looks more like an Ultimate Clairvoyant than you do! He obviously seems to be embracing the occult for a start!"
This earns the ghost a glare, but Hiro quickly shakes his head and returns his phone to his pocket. "Well, whatever. We know what he looks like, so let's go to his dorm."
As he begins making his way there, Chihiro frowns. "You know, the fact that Mukuro knows about this Gundham means she and Junko must have been studying him, or at the very least his class." He points out. "Which would make sense considering how much of her plan revolves around 77-B." His face saddens. "Poor guys. It's bad enough Junko put us, her classmates and friends through something like a killing game, but to basically torture a whole other class?"
"Its sick." Leon agrees, his eyes narrowed angrily. "She's sick."
Hiro simply nods in response, a frown on his face as he walks. Suddenly, he freezes in place. "Wait, what about Hajime?!" He asks. "I was supposed to meet up with him and-"
"That can wait a minute!" Leon interrupts him. "If we dont hurry and stop Mukuro, who the hell knows what could happen!"
Hiro nods in understanding, breaking out into a sprint towards the dorms, causing a brown haired boy in a Reserve Course uniform to look up and give him an annoyed look as he passed.
~~~
Hiro was thankfully able to find Gundham's room with relative ease. As he stands in front of the Ultimate Breeder's door, he hesitates.
"Dude, what's the hold up?" Leon asks impatiently.
Hiro frowns and begins picking at his skin. "Its just...the energy surrounding this room...its...really heavy and...dark..." He mutters.
Leon groans and rolls his eyes. "Oh for the love of-Hurry the hell up!" He snaps.
Hiro sighs and nods, reaching a hand up and knocking on the door.
A quiet exchange of voices could be heard along with some shuffling until the door is opened.
"Who dares disturb the Overlord of-"
The boy behind the door stops when he sees Hiro. The two lock eyes, and a wave of energy courses through the clairvoyant.
The extravagantly dressed man before Hiro stares at him for a moment more before he smirks. "Heh. I had thought the dark lady and myself were the only ones dabbling in the forbidden arts, but I can sense they run through your veins as well."
Hiro blinks in surprise at the guy's strange speech patterns. "Uh...i-if by 'forbidden arts' you mean fortune telling, then yeah!" Hiro finally responds, forcing a smile onto his face. "My names Yasuhiro Hagakure. I'm the Ultimate Clairvoyant!"
The other man lets out an impressed hum. "Clairvoncy, hm? Then have your visions sent you to my side for the aid of my dark powers?!" He suddenly poses in a strange way, and Hiro blinks in confusion.
"Uh...y-yeah. More or less. Youre... Gundham Tanaka, right?" He asks, scratching his head as he begins to regret coming here.
Gundham's smirk widens as he nods. "My reputation of course precedes me. Indeed, that is my name! GUNDHAM TANAKA!" The...eccentric fellow bellows out his name, cause Chihiro to flinch slightly.
Leon rolls his eyes. "Dear Lord this guy is gonna be annoying." He mutters.
Hiro gives a subtle nod in agreement before forcing the smile onto his face again. "Well, great! Do you, uh, mind if I come in, Gundham?'
Gundham shakes his head and steps to the side. "But of course not! A fellow user of the dark arts is always welcome in my abode!" He declares. "Although my Third Eye has failed me, for I did not forsee your visit." The breeder suddenly blushes, catching Hiro even more off guard as the man attempts to hide the flush by raising his scarf over his face. "I currently have...company over. The dark princess, Sonia Nevermind. But do not fear! I am training her to be my apprentice, so you need not hold your tongue with anything you must tell me!" He declares with finality as he turns with a flourish and walks into his room.
Hiro stands still for a moment longer, sharing an unsure look with Leon and Chihiro, before following the breeder into his room and closing the door behind him.
The dark atmosphere Hiro had felt from outside the door was tripled the moment he took a step inside, and he shivered. Gundham's room was dark, light blotting curtains hung at the windows that allowed the only light inside the room to be the many lit candles that were scattered around. There was a bookcase against one of the walls, and on it several heavy looking leather cased books.
"Well I guess we found the right guy." Leon mutters.
Hiro nods in agreement as he continues scanning the environment. His gaze stops at something that seemed out of place. A brightly colored hamster cage where four happy looking hamster were currently rested inside.
"Well, he is the Ultimate Breeder." Hiro thinks to himself. "I guess it would be more weird if there wasnt anything animal related here."
"Oh, Gundham! You have company!" A sweet, feminine voice speaks up, causing Yasuhiro to turn his head in its direction. He couldnt help but stare. There was a beautiful blonde girl, sat upon Gundham's bed.
"Indeed I do, dark mistress." Gundham confirms, coming to a stop in front of the hamster cage. He opens the lid and places some treats inside, the four critters skittering over to them and eating them hungrily. "He says his name is Yasuhiro." A grin spreads on his face as he turns from his four pets. "He is also a user of the arts."
The girl, who Hiro assumes to be Sonia Nevermind, gasps and clasps her hands together excitedly. "Really?!" She exclaims happily. "There is another one at the school?!"
"It indeed seems that way, Sonia." The breeder confirms, his gaze going to Hiro. "He says he is a clairvoyant, and that he received a vision that called him to me."
Sonia gasps and looks to Hiro as well. "Is that so? Then please! I insist you inform us of the details of your vision at once!"
For some reason Hiro felt extremely compelled to bow towards the upperclasswoman and the need to hurry with the explanation. He blinks and clears his throat, attempting to calm his nerves. "R-right. Well, it's a long...and, well, pretty unbelievable story if I'm being honest." He sighs before continuing. "But I swear to you, Buddha, Gandhi, Mother Earth or whatever deity you believe in its true.
It started when my classmate Junko Enoshima came to me, asking me to read her future...."
~~~
"...and then Mukuro mentioned someone else with knowledge of...occult stuff." Hiro finishes explaining, holding back the urge to explain his distaste for the occult. "And the spirits mentioned it could be one of you two." He looks between Sonia and Gundham, both of which look extremely surprised. "And since Mukuro said 'he' we went to your room first." He chuckles and rubs the back of his neck. "So...yeah. We wanted to make sure Mukuro's ghost...future ghost...didnt come here and find something she could use."
Gundham stares at the clairvoyant for a while, seemingly at a loss for words. Finally he clears his throat. "Well...that certainly is...quite the ordeal." The breeder recovers quickly, a grin forming on his face as he poses. "However you are in luck! I am quite skilled in this department, and while I cannot see your apparitions-" He walks over to his bookshelf and shifts through the many books before letting out a soft 'ah ha!' and pulling out a rather large one. He flips through it before placing his finger on a page. He then begins muttering something, which causes Hiro to frown and shift uncomfortably.
Gundham's eyes close, and a soft wind suddenly blows through the room, despite there being no open window. When he opens his eyes, he meets Hiro's eyes. They then shift over to Leon and Chihiro, his grin turning to a smirk.
"Ah ha! Hello there, fiends!" He looks over to see the shimmering outlines of the unknown spirits. "And to you as well."
Hiro's eyes widen in surprise. "You...you can see them?!"
"Of course!" Gundham boasts, slamming the book shut with one hand. "Did you believe these tombs were for show?!"
Hiro holds his tongue.
"Now I can be of more help to you and your miss-" He stops, his gaze slowly moving over to his bookshelf. He narrows his eyes. "....I assume this is the fiendish ghoul you mentioned."
Hiro blinks before following his gaze. His eyes widen further. There, looking through the books, was Mukuro's ghost.
Gundham Tanaka can now hear you! He is open for questions!

Heyyyy me again! I really loved your last fic so Imma request another, if that's okay! If you're still doing drabbles, could I possibly get a Hiccanna Angel/Demon AU fic with the sentence starter “If you don’t hug me right now I think I might fall apart.”? I'm in the mood for big boi angst lol (also kinda see Hiccup as the demon one here because of the dragon and fire connection, but reversed would be interesting too!)
I think I’ll go for what you suggested since it makes the most sense character-wise! I hope you enjoy!
****
Angels and Demons coexisted as enemies for many millennia. Good versus evil, light versus dark, virtue versus vice, Heaven versus Hell.
And Anna was okay with this. She was old, far older than the human numbers could reach. She thought she had seen it all. But that was before him.
The first time she was sent to Earth was on her first mission as a Guardian Angel. She had been protecting a little girl with brown hair and brown eyes who loved ice skating and playing with her brother.
Anna admired the way the family interacted; laughing, playing, creating. And how they created an orange and yellow light that kept the darkness away.
She listened intently one night when the little girl asked, “Mommy, why do we light the fire?”
The mother tucked her child securely in her bed, the covers pulled up to her chin. “Because there are evil things in this world, things that want to hurt us, and the fire keeps them away.”
Anna’s feathers ruffled at the mention of evil. How could someone even think about hurting people so innocent? Why they had never done anything wrong.
“Like the boogeyman?”
The mother smoothed back her daughter’s hair. “Yes, my love, like the boogeyman. But the fire keeps him away. You have nothing to worry about. And if the fire ever goes out, you have your guardian angel to protect you.”
Anna felt herself glow a little brighter as her ward’s eyes lit up.
“I bet she’s beautiful,” the little girl whispered.
Her mother kissed her on the head and said her goodnight, placing one of the brother’s head as well. How happy they were. How perfect that moment was.
Then that moment ended.
“Be careful,” the mother chided them.
“We will,” the boy replied with a laugh as his sister pulled him towards the frozen lake.
Anna walked carefully along the treeline above them, keeping a watchful eye, but she wasn’t worried. They had done this a hundred times before, what could go wrong?
How she wished she had paid more attention.
The ice cracked under the little girl’s feet, her sobs being drowned out by her brother's reassurances.
Anna couldn’t move, a force was keeping her rooted to the spot and she was furious.
She watched on in anger and fear as the brother coaxed his sister a few steps forward. The ice cracked, the little girl screamed and Anna was suddenly free from her trap.
She flew forward, grabbing the little girl by the armpits and flying her to the other side of the ice where it was thicker.
Anna smiled as the little girl looked around, her eyes finding her brother’s.
It was a blissful moment that was ruined by the deafening sound of cracking ice.
The brother let out a cry of surprise as it gave way under his feet, pulling him into the freezing waters below.
Anna cried out, but she couldn’t save him, couldn’t even touch him. She wasn’t his guardian angel.
“Jack!”
That’s when she saw him.
He was standing on the other side of the pond across from her. He had blood-red eyes and black scales running along his skin. He was frowning and. from a distance, Anna thought he looked angry.
“Hey!” She cried out angrily, leaving her ward’s side for a moment to fly towards the demon.
He disappeared when she reached him. She let out an angry shout before returning to the little girl’s side. Watching her sob as she ran for her parents.
Jack became an angel for his sacrifice.
Anna met him in Heaven. Shook his hand and apologized for not being able to save him. He didn’t hold it against her, just asked for updates on his sister every so often.
Anna would watch over the little girl until she was old and was ready to go.
When she closed her eyes for the final time, Anna was there; her hand out in greeting, ready to take her to Heaven. To her brother.
“I was right.” She said, taking Anna’s hand. “You are beautiful.”
Anna smiled. “I will miss looking after you,”
“You can come to visit me anytime,”
Anna knew it didn’t work that way but didn’t say anything, just smiled and nodded.
They were met at the gates by Jack and her other family members she had lost over the years. The moment she stepped through the gates, she was reverted to her child form, running to hug her brother for the first time in a long time.
Anna would have cried if she were human.
But her heart did feel funny, watching them.
Her next ward was a little girl in Scotland. The girl had a head of curly red hair and a bow and arrows at six years old.
Anna knew she had her work cut out for her.
She watched on from a tree as the little girl played hide and seek with her mother and received a brand new bow from her father, much to her mother’s dismay.
It was beautiful until the little girl screamed.
Anna was up immediately, landing in front of the mother and daughter, using her powers to still the bear until they were safely out of the way. She saw the way its eyes glowed red and she knew that this was no ordinary bear, but a demon-possessed one.
The father and his men charged the bear, pointing spears at it and a rush of panic flew through Anna. No, no, no not again.
The bear moved right past her and she was once again rooted to the spot, unable to move, unable to help in any way.
The bear slashed at the wooden spear, effectively ripping the sharp end of it off.
The father threw the splintered wood aside, ready to take on the monster with his bear-hands.
It roared, ready to go in for the kill.
“NO!” Anna screamed, breaking free of the hold with all of her ability and slamming herself into the bear. It staggered to the side, jaw sinking into the man’s ankle instead of his neck.
Anna watched as the father screamed and the demon came out of the bear.
It was the same one from the lake.
His red eyes met Anna’s gold ones. He seemed surprised, intrigued.
Anna, however, was livid. She lunged at him, only for him to disappear the same as he had before. Anna screamed out in fury.
The father was alive, at the cost of his foot. But he was alive.
And Anna was in trouble.
“Άννα.”
She was suddenly standing in the blinding white room of her boss.
Not God, much worse.
“Elsa,” Anna replied, turning to see the head Guardian Angel standing before her.
“Άννα,” She repeated, using Anna’s original angel name. “You meddled.”
Anna frowned. “I had to! That demon was going to kill my ward’s father!”
“You cannot meddle, Άννα. You should know better.”
“Come on, I saved somebody! Isn’t that what guardian angels are supposed to do?” Anna argued.
Elsa only gave Anna an icy glare. “I’m sorry. But I cannot allow you to watch over Merida any longer.”
“What!”
"Acts like this have consequences, Άννα.”
“That’s so stupid! It wasn’t even my fault! If that stupid demon hadn’t been there-”
“Enough,” Elsa said sternly.
Anna cowered underneath her gaze but was still stewing with anger.
“You are on probation from guardian duties. You will be assigned to another job until it is through.”
Anna was on probation for centuries and it felt like a millennium. When she was finally released on another mission, she was assigned a boy this time.
Who was a troublemaker, of course. She always seemed to get those. But Anna didn’t mind; in fact, she was overjoyed because she was always on the move. Being locked up in heaven will do that to you.
Her ward was living the life. Just accepted into college at fourteen and being praised by his brother.
Anna watched on with admiration as the two talked. Her siblings up in Heaven never showed any emotions, perhaps that came with being an angel, but Anna longed for love.
Maybe that made her a bad angel, she didn’t care. Love was a fascinating prospect.
Then everything went bad. Just like it always does.
Anna noticed the fire right after the two boys did. She flew alongside the two brothers, terrified as she watched multiple guardian angels flying around the place.
Where was Tadashi’s? Anna suddenly realized, looking around to find Rapunzel.
She finally caught sight of her near the sidewalk, completely frozen in place, unable to move, to do anything.
“No,” Anna said with sudden terror. “No, no, no, no-”
She turned to find that Hiro and Tadashi had moved, gone closer to the flames.
“Tadashi no!” Hiro cried, latching onto his older brother’s arm.
“Somebody has to help.”
“No!” Anna cried flying forward, trying to catch Tadashi, but it was too late. All she could do was stand in front of Hiro and shield him from the blast.
“Tadashi!”
Hiro’s cries were faint in Anna’s ears as she looked around the scene. Guardian angels were flying everywhere, following people away from the fire and helping the firefighters put out the blaze, Rapunzel was free from her hold and she was crying, and there was that demon again.
Anna’s eyes landed on him at the steps of the building. He was gazing up at the fire, reflecting ominously in his red eyes.
He wouldn’t get away this time.
“Hey!” Anna cried out.
He didn’t move and Anna flew forward, tackling him to the ground.
He let out a cry of surprise and a grunt as they landed against the hard earth.
“What’s your problem with me, huh? Why do you keep killing the people my wards care about? Every time you’re around one of them dies!”
The demon below her didn’t say anything, just took on her wrath with surprising calmness.
This made Anna even more furious. “You don’t feel guilty at all? Ha. Should expect that from filthy demons like you! You probably take pleasure in killing people-”
“We don’t kill people,”
“What?” Anna asked, glaring at him.
The demon cleared his throat, as the best he could with Anna sitting on his chest. “We don’t kill people. We just cause chaos. Posses them, mess with them, make bad things happen, yes, but we don’t kill people.”
“Then how do you explain-”
“Do you think you guardian angels would let us get that far? We can’t overpower you, you know that. So, how can we kill anyone?”
Anna’s mouth went dry at his words.
No. He had to be lying. He had to be.
“Then how are these people dying?”
“Don’t ask me. Maybe you should take it up with the higher authorities.”
Anna’s world was crashing down around her. Heaven wouldn’t- they couldn’t-
“It’s not the Devil who chooses when people die, Angelface.”
Anna ripped her hands off him, stumbling backward, trying to get away from him.
“Then why were you there? Every time you were there.”
“We’re in tandem, I guess. I’m just a worker Demon. Like you. At least” - he frowned. “-I was.”
“We are nothing alike.” Anna spat.
“Keep telling yourself that, Angelface.”
“Stop calling me that! My name is-”
Anna was transported into Elsa’s room again.
“Άννα.”
“What?” Anna yelled, turning to face her superior, who was stone-face. “What, huh? What do you want from me? Want me to go on probation again? Because I’m sick and tired of watching people die, Έλσα.”
“You interacted with a demon,  Άννα. This is serious.”
“So what? He was some beat demon, there to start a fire that was killing people.”
“Demons don’t kill people,  Άννα. The lord decides when they are to come to Heaven.”
“What?” Anna said, angrier than ever. “But we’re Heaven! We’re supposed to be the good guys! The light! Killing people is wrong!”
“Άννα. Calm down.”
“No! No, why? Why does some unseen celestial being get to decide the fate of good people? Old age, okay, fine, but young people? Children? That’s wrong.”
“We serve the lord, Άννα. We don’t question.”
“Well, the lord can beat it! I don’t care! This is wrong! How can you not see that?”
“I’m sorry, Άννα.”
Anna was cast out of Heaven immediately. Her halo stripped from her, her wings turning a dark black to signify to the other angels her crimes. She would walk the Earth as a ghost.
She hit the ground near where her last assignment had been.
“So,” the demon said, sitting next to her when she came to. “I’m guessing taking it up with the higher authorities didn’t go so well?”
Anna felt something for the first time in her life. She left a million things at once and it hurt.
She turned to the demon with watery eyes and she noticed for the first time that his eyes weren’t red anymore. In fact, they were a really pretty green.
“If you don’t hug me right now I think I might fall apart.” She said.
The request didn’t seem to shock the demon. He just opened his arms and allowed Anna to hug him, to sob into his shoulder.
He wrapped his arms around her and squeezed as hard as he could.
Anna felt something she had never felt before, but couldn’t place the emotion. Over time she would learn, but now all she wanted to do was cry and be held.
“Any chance you’ll give me that name now, Angelface?” he asked softly.
“Anna,” She choked out. “My name is Anna.”
“Nice to meet you, Anna. My name’s Hiccup. And I think we’re gonna be spending a lot of time together.”

The Ruined King, chapter 3
Tumblr media
(Credit to @ghostnightbride for the materials for the banner!)
Pairing: Felix x Liz
Summary: Hawkeye is once again moving through Gedonelune, and it looks like their aim is on the heart of the Dragonkin Ruins. It looks like we’ll need the help of the three Reciters to solve this mystery!
Previous: Chapter 2
First: Chapter 1
Contains spoilers for the Melody of Awakening spinoff!
Emerging through the forest, a decrepit gate and cracked window frames greeted us.
'It's strange,' I thought, 'I must have been here a thousand times before, but it's different now.' Different to be visiting it with actual Dragonkins. 'What must this have been like when it was in its prime?'
I stole a glance over at Felix's face, gazing up at the ruins. Sadness and surprise flashed across his face. "This is.. What has become of us?"
"Felix.."
"..We should get going."
"Can I ask an awkward question?" Lacan's voice broke through the silence as we walked.
"What is it, Lacan?"
"Um.. what are your names? I know Liz, I remember you, and I know Hugo and Mischa, since they've come round for tea. But the rest of you.. I mean, I know that we met before, but it was all kind of a blur back then.”
Oh, right. Just because we knew his story didn't mean that he knew anything about us.
"I.. probably should have asked about that as well,” Felix admitted.
"What? Lacan, I can understand, but you Felix.. You don't even know our names?!"
Felix met Zeus with a blank stare. "..Why would I? You were just pains in my side."
"Well, I suppose there's no harm in introducing ourselves again," Caesar said with a laugh. "I'm Caesar Raphael."
"The loud mouth is Zeus," Hugo said, glancing over his shoulder.
"Ah, I wondered who that was!" Lacan said. “Hugo's always talking about you!” Felix nodded.
"Hey!” Zeus shot a dirty look at Hugo.
One by one, they introduced themselves. "I'm Yukiya; this is Seth."
"I'm Elias Goldstein; Alfonse here is my eldest brother."
"Elias was the other one who defeated Drago," I said.
"Ah, I do know of the Goldsteins," Felix mused.
"..Yeah, you broke into our laboratory," Alfonse said.
Lacan gave him a confused look, but Felix coughed. "..Moving on. What about your merchant friend? The one who had Twilight?"
"Oh, Hisoka?" I wasn't expecting him to remember him. "He's not with us right now; I think that he's in Queensblade right now."
"You certainly have a lot of friends.." Felix muttered. In the back of my mind, he almost sounded wistful.
I shivered as we walked deep into the ruins. I'd been down here in the ruins before, but it never got any less creepy to visit them. As we walked, I noticed that some of the others seemed to be slowing down.
Lucious, Zeus, and Hiro seemed to linger behind us. Shu, on the other hand, was even more lively, chirping happily as he flew behind us.
Even Felix seemed a little unnerved. 'I wonder what this is like for him.'
"So, how do we know Hawkeye will be headed to these ruins?" Caesar asked, trailing behind Willem.
"There are certain treasures that the humans entrusted to us long ago," Willem said. "Though we were sealed away, they should still be buried deep enough that they shouldn't have been found by the humans.”
Caesar sighed. "I wonder if Hawkeye's already gotten there by now. They did get a bit of a headstart on us.”
"Who cares?" Zeus said, grinning from ear to ear. "If they've gotten the jewels or whatever, I'll just summon something big and scary to fight them off! Maybe I'll summon Vulcanaux!"
"You will not!” Zeus jumped as Felix walked up to him, his voice as cold as ice. “If you were to summon a creature like Vulcanaux here, you would bring this place down on top of us. I will not allow you to destroy this sacred place!”
Zeus recoiled as though burnt. "Sorry.."
Felix turned away, walking past him; I hurried after him. I heard the others muttering to Zeus. “Nice going, genius..”
The eeiry feeling continued as we went deeper down the halls. Shu flew ahead of us, happily chirping as we explored the halls.
'It almost feels like.. someone is watching me.' I glanced over my shoulder, but I didn't see anyone. 'I don't know why this place gives me such creeps..'
I looked at the walls. Even if it was growing darker, I could make out intricate carvings on the walls. I was so focused on the walls, I wasn't looking where I was going, and my foot caught on a loose tile-
"Woah!"
And suddenly found strong arms catching me. I looked up into green, green eyes.
"..Watch your step," Felix said, helping me to my feet.
"Right." I stood up, though I couldn't understand why my heart was racing so much.
“I'm sure that we've come down this way before.” Lacan peeked his head down the branching pathway.
“No, I'm sure that that way is connected to the Labyrinth,” Willem said with a sigh.
“Don't ask me, you're the ones who always came down here.”
It was a strange sight, seeing the three powerful Dragonkin bickering over something like directions. But a noise echoed through the halls- a stomach growling.
“..It's probably been a fair few hours since we set out,” Willem said gently. “Perhaps this would be a good time to stop and eat?”
We all took seat around the hall, pulling out our lunches.
"I brought some cookies for everyone!" I said. With the Reciters, our group was larger than normal, so I'd made sure to bake more than usual. I had made little bags for everyone.
"Cookies?" Their expressions lit up as they took the bags.
"Here," I passed out the bags. I pulled Shu close to me. "I've got some treats for you too, Shu." He happily chirped as he nibbled on the treats. I patted his head.
'So adorable..'
I noticed Felix gazing at us curiously. He had seemed to like cookies before when we had been at the Night Cafe together. “Would you like some too, Felix?”
“I suppose.” He hesitantly took one of the cookies, nibbling on it.
"Willem's been introducing us to all sorts of wonderful foods," Lacan said happily. "I can't believe we've never tried them before!"
"I have to thank Liz,” Willem said sweetly. “She's taught me a lot of the recipes."
“Hey, Felix, there's something that I wanted to ask you.” He looked up at me from his cookie. “I noticed there's a lot of carvings and writings on the walls. Do you know what it says?”
He sat up a little straighter. “Yes, actually, the three of us were the ones who put the carvings in. It was our job to transcribe the history of the Dragonkin upon these walls.”
“So then the Reciters are like the historians of the Dragonkin?” I asked.
“I'm sure you could find a lot of records on these walls,” Willem said.
“My favorite story was about our friendship with the Night Kingdom,” Lacan said. “I think that should be somewhere around here.”
“You have records of that?” Lucious said, his eyes lighting up. “I want to see!”
The others pitched in their questions, asking about the various tales on the walls. And I could see Felix's eyes light up as he answered their questions.
In the end, we agreed to split up into three groups, each group following one of the Reciters down the various paths. Hugo, Zeus, Shu, and I followed Felix down the hall.
As we walked, the terrain of the ruins grew rougher. Even Felix and Zeus seemed to be struggling. 'I never thought that I'd see him struggle like this..'
And once again, we came to a branching path. “Should we split up again?”
“That won't be necessary,” he said coolly. “We shouldn't be far from the heart of the ruins now; I can send a few mini dragons to scout ahead.” As he spoke, he clasped his hands together, darkness pouring out of them and taking the form of two minidragons. They quickly scampered on the path ahead of us.
“Do you just have like minidragons that you can carry with you everywhere? You don't even need to summon them?” Zeus asked.
“Not quite. The power of Nightmare is the power to create out of shadows; what form that takes, whether it be minidragons, shadows, or a magical beast is up to me.”
“That would explain a lot.” I remembered the various magical beasts he had sent us before. Even a kraken.
“..Felix?” Felix glanced over at Zeus, who looked strangely sheepish for him. “I'm sorry about  what I said before. About summoning the Vulcanaux earlier, I wasn't thinking about what this place meant to you.”
“Hmm.” It seemed like his expression softened. “I suppose this place must have always been a ruin in your time.”
“This place must hold a lot of memories for you,” I said.
“..Most of my memories of this place are of the battles that raged here."
"Battles?" I shivered.
"Many of them, tearing this place to ruins," he said, his gazing turning to the walls. The eeiry feeling was only starting to grow. "Those dragged into the dark." Okay that wasn't helping-" I can still hear-"
"Eep!" All eyes fell on me, and I quickly covered my mouth.
Felix looked at me, his eyes wide in surprise. "I.."
"..My apologies," he said after a moment. "Perhaps it would be best to stop there." I nodded.
"Thank you," I said, breathing a sigh of relief. "Something feels off in this place."
"There are places we've built that are more pleasant than this," Felix said wistfully. "During the war, the Dragonkin built a city deep beneath the earth, using crystals to light their path."
Wait, that sounded awfully familiar! "Are you talking about the Illusionary Town?"
"Have you been there?"
"Yes, we visited there when we were searching for the Star Sapphire! It was so beautiful.. Well, except for the part where we got chased by a winged man throwing feathers at us."
"Winged man.. winged man.." Felix muttered under his breath. "Are you talking about Ventus?"
"You knew him?!" But one look at Felix's face, and he burst into laughter. "Hey!"
"No, I have no idea who you're talking about," he said. "Perhaps a trap laid by the Dragonkins who made the town."
"Who knew he could laugh like that?"
"Look, there it is."
Shu stopped before a set of intricately carved doors.
Felix smirked. "Trust that a dragon of light would be able to find the temple's heart," he said. "The Gem of Light should be just beyond there."
"Can we go in there and just wait for the others?" Zeus asked.
"There's a reason it hasn't been disturbed yet; it is locked to Lacan's magic alone. Only he will be able to unlock it. I'll send the signal." He pulled down his hood, his horns starting to glow black.
"And now we wait," Zeus said, sitting down.
Felix turned to me with a smile. "I think if you look close enough, you can find a Ratatoskr in the designs.”
"Hree?" Shu flew up to the doors, examining them with such intensity that I couldn't help but laugh a little.
I took a closer look myself; indeed, there were many dragons carved through the door. "Ah, I found you!" Sure enough, there was a four winged dragon, brightly singing his little song. Shu cooed in happiness.
I noticed another carving in the door, of a dragon much larger than the rest.. one that I'd seen carvings of all of my life. "Felix," I said, "is this.."
"Hugo, the Dragon of Time." Even Hugo examined the door more closely.
"Did you know him?"
"Somewhat. Though why he trusted the humans.." His expression softened, then went blank.
"Does this have something to do with him?"
"We'll explain everything when we get inside," Felix said.
After a little while, I heard chatter; Willem appeared with Elias, Alfonse, and Yukiya.
"Wow, so you're telling me that you went back, after all of that?" Voices boomed round the corner. I looked up to see Lacan leading the way; Lucious was strolling at his side, Hiro and Caesar trailing behind.
"Ah!" He beamed as he came up to us. "Lucious was just telling me about your adventure in the Labyrinth, and how you all freed him and Felix!"
"That's one way of telling it."
"Lacan, will you do the honors?"
"Of course." Lacan walked up to the door, his horns glowing with light. In a moment, the doors parted, revealing the hidden chamber.
My breath hitched as we stepped inside. The chamber was set up like a throne room. A bright light shown from the center of the room.
"May I?" Lacan nodded; I carefully walked to the center, shielding my eyes from its glow.
The light was coming from a brilliant diamond, shining as bright as the sun; it looked to be about the size of a pomegranate. "This is.."
"The Gem of Light," Felix said. "The humans entrusted us with it, and we've kept it in here ever since."
"Will you tell us what's going on now?" The three reciters shared a look, stepping close to each other.
"The founders of Gedonelune crafted six gems, one for each element," Willem said. "Three of them were entrusted to the Dragonkin and buried within our land. Even when war was waged, we buried them so deep in our temples that the humans couldn't find them."
"What about the other three gems?"
"I believe they were entrusted to Gedonelune's noble families," Felix said. The noble families of Gedonelune?
"Oh!" Alfonse's eyes widened. "I've heard about those!"
"It is said there is a secret place, known only to the royal family, where the six gems are brought together," Willem said. "But if that should ever happen.."
And a voice spoke up from behind us, a voice that sent chills down my spine, "Then the Dragon of Time will be awakened once more."
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lucious: It was really interesting to hear about the history of the Dragonkin from them. I had no idea their history was so closely intertwined with ours.
Caesar: Did Lacan tell you about the history of the Night Kingdom?
Lucious: Yes! Apparently, our times were so close that some of our history got mixed up with theirs. Who would've thought?
Caesar: Oh, so you're as old as dirt just like them.
Lucious: ..Listen here!
Caesar: Uh-oh, looks like it's time for me to get out of here. Next time, Ruined Battle.

Gravitation Fanfic
Riku stood uneasily in the kitchen entryway, ready to retreat back the way he came. He grappled with his nerves to finally find a smidgen of resolve. Only to have it immediately vanish, like a puff of smoke in the wind.
He couldn't do it.
Why was it so difficult to talk to that man?
He slunk away, and was betrayed by the creaking of the floorboards beneath him.
“Riku?” His dad turned to face him, his attention pulled from the meal he'd been preparing. “Finished up with your homework already?”
Riku studied his father for a moment. He was relieved his dad had finally shaved off that awful beard, but wondered if he still wouldn't be teased if his classmates saw the man now in all his glory: cute apron, thick glasses, and headband adorning him like a lopsided crown.
...Well, he was also brandishing a large knife, so maybe not.
“Uh, yeah…” Riku shrugged and ran his hand through his hair, resting it on the back of his neck, and pretended to be nonchalant before letting it drop back to his side and wishing there was an inconspicuous way to run back to his room and barricade the door.
“How about you wash up and help me then?” That Man asked, though to Riku it felt like a command. “It's just us tonight.”
Dammit! Riku was trapped. He blamed his Japanese upbringing: he was too polite to decline.
“What about Mom?” Riku asked while scrubbing his hands in the sink.
“Ayaka’s letting your Uncle Hiro out of the house for the first time in ages-- I guess the twins are finally manageable-- he and Shuichi are having a boy's night out.”
“Oh.”
It had been a long time since Mom had spent any time with his oldest friend, so Riku didn't want to resent him taking the opportunity, but it was going to be so awkward eating dinner alone with Dad!
“Where should I begin?” Riku asked, drying his hands on a kitchen towel.
“Get the rice started. By the time it's done, everything else should be ready to eat.”
“Okay.” It was a simple task that was quickly completed. “Now what?”
“Finish cutting up these vegetables, I'll start grilling the meat.”
It was weirdly familiar, this scene.
...No, maybe not so weird. Riku could remember helping his dad in the kitchen when he was younger-- before his dad had developed his wanderlust.
It was kind of fun then.
“Watch your fingers,” his father warned.
“I know,” Riku said as the sound of rhythmic chopping filled the room. “I’m not a little kid anymore.”
“Sorry,” his dad chuckled, “force of habit. Your mom's not exactly a child either, but I'm still constantly restocking the first aid kit.”
Chop.
Sizzle.
Chop.
Awkward silence filled the room save for the sound of the knife hitting the cutting board and the meat frying in the pan.
“So… what are Mom and Uncle Hiro doing tonight?” Riku asked in vain attempt to shoo away the uncomfortable atmosphere.
“Probably getting blitzed off cheap beer, and singing karaoke. Those done?”
Riku's father pointed to the veggies he’d been dicing.
“Uh, yeah,” Riku replied.
“Go ahead and add them to the pan. Slowly.”
Riku carefully pushed the fresh cut vegetables off the edge of the cutting board and into the skillet with his knife while his dad stirred them in with the meat and sauce.
As soon as Riku pulled the empty board out of the way, his father flicked the pan up, tossing its contents into the air and catching them with the flourish of a much practiced skill, coating everything evenly with seasoning. He then mixed everything together and and adjusted the cooktop's heat settings.
“Just a simple stir fry dish tonight. I didn't feel like making something fancy.”
“T-that's okay,” Riku said. It certainly smelled good! And Riku had never known his dad to cook anything that wasn't delicious. His dad could make any 'simple dish’ amazing.
Riku watched his father, trying to work up the courage to ask him what he originally came into the kitchen for.
“Go set the table.” Dad said suddenly and derailed  Riku's train of thought. “I'm almost done here.”
“Uh, sure.”
In all honesty Riku was relieved to be given an opportunity to leave the room, even if the dining room was barely separate from the kitchen.
His dad hadn't been staying home that long, but Riku still habitually grabbed three place settings before reminding himself that Mom wasn't going to join them.
“Finished,” Riku said, returning to the kitchen in time to catch the musical chime of the rice cooker.
“Perfect timing! Go put the rice out.”
Riku scooped the rice out of the cooker and into a serving bowl and ran it out to the dining room table.
“Here,” Riku's dad shoved a tasting spoon in front of Riku's face the moment he returned. “Try some.”
“Mm! Good!” Riku said around a mouthful of food.
“Vegetables not too crunchy?”
“Nope, I like them better when they're a little crisp than when they're soggy.”
His dad smiled-- just a little bit-- and nodded approvingly. Then, without dropping a single morsel, transferred the food from pan to serving dish and turned off the stove.
Whenever Riku or Mom (especially Mom) cooked the kitchen was always a mess afterwards! Dad left everything sparkling.
“Here, go put this out,” Dad said. He handed Riku the food, the took off his apron and headband- tossing them onto the counter to be dealt with after eating. “I'll join you in a sec.”
Riku took the food to the table, then served himself some. He wondered if it would be rude to start eating before his dad sat down.
Luckily he was saved from having to answer himself when his dad plopped himself down in the chair across from him, took a swig of beer from the bottle he'd grabbed from the fridge, and started shoveling food on to his own plate.
For someone who could cook such high-class looking cuisine, his at home table manners we're practically barbaric. Riku wondered if he acted like this when he travelled. Who would let him into their country?!
Uncomfortable quiet filled the room as they ate. In between bites Riku pushed food around his plate with his chopsticks, wondering how he could breach the silence.
“So…what is it?”
Riku jumped at the question.
“Huh!?”
His dad took another swig straight from the bottle, adjusted his glasses, and met Riku's gaze without wavering.
“When you came into the kitchen earlier, you kind of looked like you had something to say to me.”
“I, um, yeah…” Shit! Now that his dad had brought it up, there was no way he could back down!
Riku squirmed and fidgeted and hoped his father wouldn’t notice.
“It's, um, it's just that…”
Why was this so difficult! It wasn't like he was making that big a request, was he?
“It'sjustthattommorowisMike’sbirthday!” Riku finally spat out in a single breath.
His dad blinked, trying to process Riku's flurry of words.
“Did… you... want to go get him a gift?” He asked, having finally sorted it out. “I can take you shopping if you'd like. Do you need money?”
“No,” Riku answered as he stared down at his plate.
Surely initiating conversation was the worst part, right? It shouldn't be too hard to ask for the rest...
Riku forced himself to make eye contact.
“Mike wanted me to ask you if you'd make him a birthday cake.”
“Hmm…” his dad thought for a moment. Then he set his chopsticks down and vanished into the kitchen.
Was that a no?
A yes?
Why the HELL was that man so difficult to read?!
How did Mom do it?
Riku heard rummaging in the kitchen and the opening and shutting of several cupboards and drawers and the familiar sound of the refrigerator opening and closing.
“Alright,” his dad said as strolled back in the room and took his seat.
“Alright?” Riku pressed.
“I'll bake that cake for you,” his dad answered. “On a few conditions though…”
“What conditions?” Riku couldn't help but be worried and a little suspicious.
“Yeah, I have to go buy some things for it, so you have to clean up the kitchen and do the dishes while I'm out.”
Well, that was fair.
“And?”
“And now I want cake, so I guess I'll have to make an extra one for us... and maybe Shuichi if he hurries his ass home before I eat his share.”
Of course. There was a time in Riku’s life when he thought birthday cakes came half-eaten. At least he was making his own this time instead of cutting a slice from the birthday boy’s.
“Is that all?”
“No, one last thing…”
Riku flinched. What could his dad possibly want from him?
“Make it with me?”
Riku stared at him in disbelief. Maybe Mom was right after all, Dad was sometimes hard to understand, but perhaps he really was trying.
“Sure.”
And maybe it wasn't so bad having him home after all.
The End.

Big Hero 7 S2
Something Fluffy
*At the local landfill Noodle Burger Boy is with Trina looking for parts to upgrade since the appearances and attacks of people transforming to monsters began. Especially with the news of Orso Knox and his 'death' in the hands of Big Hero 7.*
N.B.B:*Picks up a hardware* Will I like this? Nah. *Picks up a shiny wheel* Ooh`! Golly sis! What about this?
Trina: We want to upgrade, not lame-grade.
N.B.B: Its shiny.
*As N.B.B stores it in his head.*
Trina: Its like trying to have a conversation with a blender.
* And when she gets searching, Trina picks up a wind turbine.*
Trina: Hello there! This might work.
Hiro: Trina, figured I find you in the trash.
*And above the bots are Hiro and Baymax in their super suits, having heard that the word that Trina and NBB would be lurking somewhere.*
Baymax: Many items here are recyclable.
Trina: That's what I'm doing Hugs. Self improvement.
NBB: Sis says we are keeping up with the 'biologicals'.
Trina: Got to! Every loser in town is going monster these days.
Hiro: Don't I know it.
NBB: Time to scrap!
*Trina throws a metal pole to Baymax to which he catches it with his hands.*
Baymax: Scrap?
Hiro; I think he's making a joke.
Baymax: Oh! Trash is also referred to as scrap. Synanons.
NBB:Hee hee. Hee hee.
*Before Hiro could warn Baymax NBB knocks Baymax to the trash with his laser eyes.*
Trina: And that's our cue to leave. Lets go bro.
NBB: That sounds swell sis!
Hiro: Baymax! Rocket Fist!
*Baymax launches his rocket fist to the robotic duo where it knocks them out.*
trina: Always gotta have the last word don't you?
NBB: I feel real shiny!
*Trina picks NBB up before the super duo could.*
Baymax: We are due at the symposium in eleven minutes. You are covered in garbage
Hiro: Right... *Strains to pull himself out with moderate success.* Let me just *Then he falls deeper inside.*
Baymax: Perhaps it would be advisable to-
*That's when Baymax falls to the trash himself, though not as deep.*
Baymax: Oh no.
*The symposium is about a duo interview with Alistair Krei and Liv Amara themselves with Bluff Dunder. The main guests being students from SFIT.*
Dunder: Any more questions for our tech pioneers Alistair Krei and Liv Amara?
Student: Uh... this is a question for Liv?
Krei:*Mumbles under breath* Great... another one.
Student: A big fan, probably biggest, how is Sycorax doing since the Monster attack destroyed most of your work?
*Krei's eyes turn to Liv as he waits for her response to that question. If he hadn't been informed about what truly happened at the incident and what Orso Knox had said, he would have smirked at her discomfort... but all he felt is disgust. The only satisfaction he has is now Liv's reputation is under scrutiny since that day. While it had lessened, there were still questions about it.*
Liv: It has been a long road to repair the damage. But thankfully we have recovered half of our research and are on the verge of finding new ones! My workers had been recovering well and are now back in action.
Hiro: *Mumbling in distaste* Yeah, back to creating monsters that nearly killed us and bribing my girlfriend to work for you again.
Cora: Hiro, be quiet...*Sniffs before her face slightly cringes* Whats that smell?
Baymax: We fell into garbage.
Gogo: Finally someone is asking a real question about Liv Amara.
Cora: Yeah.. the same question over and over...
Hiro: Challenge accepted.
Cora: Wait! *Pulls out a bottle of perfume* If you're gonna ask Amara, at least make yourself smell decent.
*After spraying him in perfume Hiro walks down to ask next.*
Dunder: Aww, looks like we have a question from that little boy.
*Some of the students chuckle but Cora was not amused, crossing her arms and frowning at their laughter.*
Hiro: Miss Amara, you guys never talk about what you guys actually do?
Liv: Sycorax invests in the future. Were you even listening Hiro?
Hiro:No, I heard that, I mean whats the product that you make?
Liv: Oh *Chuckles* who really wants to hear about the minutia reprogramming serum and its effects on recovanent DNA? But fantastic question! Who's next?
*Hiro tries to ask another question but soon Cora joins in, her eyes filled with judgement.*
Dunder: Oh! Looks like our next guest is the girl who survived the rampage! How are you little girl?
Cora: Dandy Mr. Dunder *To Liv* Miss Amara, I have to agree with Hiro on this one. When I was your intern for that day all I've been instructed is to search for unique genetic coding of the cuttlefish and how they expand their bodies and squirt ink... but you never clarified any ideas for a product that you make based on those findings... or had you even planned to make said product at all?
Liv: Well, lets just say that its a WIP at the moment, and I must say that I loved the effort you showed. I was glad to have you as my intern that day. I wish you the best, Who's next?-
Cora: But there's also the fact that Orso Knox was still in his monster form at the time. Two months ago you claimed that you are two to three weeks from a breakthrough... but when I was... kidnapped... he was still a monster. Have you been busy with other projects to even assist Mr. Knox?
Liv: You see-
Cora: Or was it that you were keeping him in a cell like an animal? Also... Hiro and I stumbled across this patch *pulls out a the patch they found* it was on Nedd Lud, and the only other patch I've seen is at Sycorax-
*Hiro comes back down and grabs the microphone as he hears the tone of Cora's voice grow hostile as Liv Amara's eyes start to be impatient and annoyed.*
Hiro: Ummm hey! Its getting late and I promised your dad I would take you home before curfew-
Cora: I have one more question Miss Amara...
Liv: *Eyes with small suspicion* And what would it be Cora?
Cora: Mr. Knox first went to Frederickson manor... then Krei Tech... then the award ceremony…. of all the times Orso Knox came through his appointments to meet the people he was supposed to see... why did he only attack you?
*Mr. Dunder looks at Liv Amara with slightly raised eyes as Krei looks between Liv and Cora, his hands gripping each other as he waited for something to happen.*
Hiro: And he's here! Come on Cora! Lets go!
*He quickly drags Cora upstairs and to the exit joined by Wasabi, Gogo and Baymax. Dunder looks at Liv Amara, who has been quiet since Cora phrased the question.*
Dunder: I believe that's all the time we have for now. Join us next time!
* Once outside the symposium, Gogo gives Cora a smack upside the head*
Cora: Ow!
Gogo: What were you thinking Cora?
Cora: What?
Wasabi: Loosing your cool like that? Do you want Liv Amara to know that you're suspicious of her?
Hiro: If she figures out you know what happened to Orso Knox she'll hurt you or worse! Use that brain of yours!
Cora:... *Sighs sadly* You're right guys... it was foolish of me...… I should've thought of things more carefully than just springing up and doing it like that...
Hiro: Come on Cora, lets just go home. I really meant it that I promised your dad that I bring you home before curfew.
Cora: Yeah... wanna stay over for dinner you guys? My treat..
*Later on at Sycorax Liv Amara is studying the liquids while she hums a birthday song as she places them all onto a tray.*
Liv: And perfect... as usual.
*She throws the lever which combines all the liquids into a container.*
Liv: Isn't it beautiful?
*The machine completes to 100 percent as it finishes creating Liv Amara's new creature.*
Chris: What is it?
Liv: Meet our new insurance policy.
*The door opens up to reveal the creature inside.*
Chris: It... is.. so.. adorable!
*The creature is a little tadpole like creature with lotus blossom shaped ears on its head.*
Miyaoi: Miyaoi.
Chris: I heard about what that little girl said to you... you still want her in this team?
Liv: You and I both know we're only adding her to Sycorax because of her book. I'll get her to trust me again, and once I get close enough to learn all its juicy secrets her grandmother and mother wrote... you and I would have to make Cora have a little... accident at work.
*She pulls up the holograms of the photo, then of the book, and finally of Cora herself. The last image sparking out before it dies down in shocks and sparks.*
*The next day, Hiro is at the table working up his assignments while Cora is bring back glasses of water. However, when she was about to get close, Karmi shows up out of nowhere frightening Cora and making her spill the glasses. Hiro hears the yelp and looks up to see Karmi in front of Cora.*
Cora: Um… can I help you?...
Karmi: Why were you attacking Liv with your baseless accusations?
Cora: Baseless? Karmi, you were there. At the ceremony and the Sycorax attack, you saw it happen.
Karmi: That monster only attacked because it was already going crazy before Liv Amara came to help as did I! I helped Big Hero 7! Also, it was your fault for going near him in the first place!
Cora: That was my fault and I admit it! But what were you doing in the meantime he was there? While he was still trapped in that cell like an animal? Nothing!
Karmi: That's probably because he's already too far gone! Ugh, I still can't believe that even now Liv Amara is sending you get well presents after the attack and you still act like she's evil you ungrateful little-!
*Hiro gets up to quiet the storm.*
Hiro: Um Karmi, maybe you should-
Karmi: *to Hiro* This doesn't involve you!
Hiro: Actually it does. You're harassing my girlfriend over a job she quit and over questions! Would you just leave us alone already?! A lot of crazy things are happening lately and the last thing we want is to deal with you!
Karmi:... I'm watching you two...
*She stomps her way out, leaving those two alone as Cora lets out a sigh of relief.*
Cora: Thanks Hiro... I've would've lost my cool there...
Hiro: Karmi can throw what ever spiteful thing she could at me, but there's no way I'm just letting her take out her attitude to you.
Cora:... but she did have a point... this is only things we saw... Meet up the gang.
*The gang later appear to discuss about what to do with Liv Amara and the discoveries they learned.*
Wasabi: OK, I checked in with Commander Carter and he said that while our suspicions and what we found is good info about Liv Amara, we can't storm in and bring her to jail.
Fred: Its not like with Steamer since he has openly admitted to being evil. Liv Amara has public opinion and investors by her side.
Honey Lemon: That's right, she's too high profiled. Big Hero 7 can't do anything to her if we don't have actual proof.
Hiro: Then all we need to do is find evidence about Liv Amara's acts and we should be able to stop her!
Gogo: How? The only proof we have is Orso Knox and one, he's already far into the ocean, and two; the only one who could understand him is Cora.
Cora: And we can't risk his life, who knows what she would do if she finds out he's alive? What can we do?
Hiro: Now all we can do is stop the monsters attacks and look for any evidence to stop her.
*That's when Cora's phone rings up with a news report.*
Dunder: Breaking news! San Fransokyo is being invaded-
Hiro; *Groans* seriously? this soon?
Cora: time to suit up.
Fred: Ooh~! Ultra Armor up!
*Soon they all suit up with the armor Hiro made at the Sycorax attack, now adding Cora's suit. Now she could squirt harmless ink out of her finger tips to blind the criminal and added the ability to swim swifter than a dolphin. They all arrive at the center of town ready for battle... only to find it completely normal.*
Fred: Ummm….where's the invasion?
*Honey Lemon pulls up her phone to check out what the invasion truly is about.*
Dunder: I repeat! San Fransokyo is being invaded by these guys.
*Soon footage of the creatures Liv Amara created is shown, happily playing with children and being as adorable as puppies.*
Dunder: Miyaoi, adorable.
Honey Lemon: Oh they're so cute I can't even stand it!
*Hiro turns to Cora to show that she's struggling to keep a straight face as she sees the Miyaoi.*
Baymax: I do not understand. What makes this creature cute?
Honey Lemon: Its like how puppies are cute! Or stickers! Or you!
Baymax: I was designed to appear friendly and non threating. Is that cute?
Cora: And huggable. Like Tadashi said when you and Hiro first met.
Fred: Totally agree. I gotta be honest, ultra armor you is pretty threatening. But marshmallow you, premo-cute!
*Honey Lemon continues to squeal in happiness over the adorableness while Cora shakes to control herself from loosing herself to the adorableness to which Hiro is the first to break the ice.*
Hiro: Just because they look cute doesn't mean they're not dangerous!
Gogo: Negative world view, I like where you're going with this.
Cora: *shakes herself off* You're right Hiro! For all we know, this could be a gremlin situation!
Wasabi: Gremlin?
Fred: Oh yeah! Like that movie! They appear super cute until you feed them after midnight! Then they're super freaky and destroy the entire town!
Baymax: I suggest gathering more data.
Hiro: Yeah, Baymax is right. We need a miyaoi.
Honey Lemon: Yay!
*The next day, the gang gather round to capture a Miyoi. Hiro, Wasabi, Cora and Baymax, pair off to capture the Miyoi throughout the park, the city, through Mole's hideout, and making the classic box trap. As of while Gogo, Honey Lemon, and Fred are at the alleys looking for a Miyoi.*
Gogo: Anything?
Fred: Nope, and remember, nothing gets by me.
*A Miyoi got passed by Fred. Luckily Gogo hears the sound of another Miyoi close by.*
Gogo: What was that?
*Gogo peeks around the corner to see the fluffy tail of the Miyoi in a box. Gogo makes gestures to silently signal Fred and her girlfriend Honey Lemon about the Miyoi. Except she failed to realize that neither of them have any idea about hand signals about a plan.*
Gogo: OK, just follow my lead!
*Gogo and Honey Lemon step over and hide while Fred does the same, only to trip over himself and land into garbage bags. But hope is not lost as Gogo spots a box moving through.*
Gogo: Gotcha!
*The Miyoi purrs as the three aww...which surprised Fred and Honey Lemon because she actually cooed at the little cutie.*
Gogo: What? I feel things... sometimes.
*The four others go to the lab to meet up with the other three as they check the news. It seems all of San Fransokyo is all wrapped around the Miyoi.*
Hiro: I gotta admit, if this was a plan by Liv Amara to throw people off her scent she's done a good job.
Cora: Definitely Babe.
Baymax: It is because they are cute like Honey Lemon said.
Wasabi: I agree, about the Liv Amara plan I mean. To me they look like a bed of hot bacteria. I'm not falling for the whole cute act.
Hiro: No, we are not!... huh?
*The four turn around to see that the three had found the Miyoi and are playing with it with a laser pointer.*
Hiro: Seriously guys?
Gogo: Hey, Baymax said we needed data. There's our data. and its so cute.
Hiro: That doesn't explain the toys or the treats or the laser pointer behind Fred's back?
Fred: Oh that's cause we're keeping him. Forever.
Minimax: Friend Fred. I have kept a list of things your mother has banned from the house: all animals with fur, all animals with feathers, all animals with scales, certain tree nuts.
Fred: Oh... right. Thanks Minimax.
Minimax: You're minimaximum welcome!
Fred: We're still keeping him forever... just not in my house.
Honey Lemon: Ooh! Gogo and I can keep him at our place...maybe?
Gogo:*Cooing at the Miyoi* Who's my fuzzy wuzzy? *Normal voice to Honey Lemon* Yeah, sure whatever.
Honey Lemon: Even Gogo can't say no to these adorable eyes.
Cora: Oh no... Gogo fell for the cute... the apocalypse is coming.
Baymax: Are large eyes the indicators of cuteness?
Fred: Haha yeah they are! Right up to being extra round and fuzzy! *To Miyoi in cutesy voice* With your widdle face and our eeny weeny titsy little feet!
Baymax: I see footsize is also a factor.
Minimax: Indeed, I am adorable.
Baymax: I have noted this in my database.
Hiro: Guys! Can we please just focus! We don't know anything about this little guy!
Cora: You're forgetting that it could be trap!
*But they were too wrapped up about the Miyoi to listen to them anymore. Cora sighs before Hiro places a hand on her shoulder. Soon they and Baymax walk towards Grandville's office. Only to see Grandville... cooing at her very own Miyoi… which stunned them to silence... And then they lock the door to leave them in peace.*
Hiro; Its official...
Cora: Everyone's gone for the cuteness... Is there anyone else that could help us with this thing?
Baymax: What about Karmi?
Hiro: Baymax, you saw us earlier. Karmi already hates our guts, and since the Orso Knox incident she's been a complete bitch to us!
Cora: Asking for her help is the equivalent of a raindrop falling to the sea.
Baymax: And what does that mean?
Cora: It means nothing can help us!
Baymax: I do not understand why you two do not like the Miyoi. Do you not want to scratch their chins?
Hiro: Liv is messing with us big time! Look!
*Hiro pulls out his phone to show text pictures of Cass holding a Miyoi, with a sad Mochi ignored in the background.*
Cora: Poor Mochi... even Aunt Cass can't stop falling for them...
Hiro: Something big is going to happen, I just know it!
*Just then Baymax's belly lights up with Wasabi's face on it.*
Wasabi: We have a problem!
*Hiro, Cora, and Baymax run as fast as they could back to the lab where the see the chibi sized Miyoi is now... bigger than they were... and its sitting on Fred's lap*
Fred: It- Grew!
Hiro: I hate to say I told you so.
*Gogo finally pulls the Bigyoi off Fred which then lands on Gogo.*
Gogo: Then don't.
Hiro: But I did ah-!
*The Bigyoi launches itself at Hiro to which Cora immediately tries to push it off.*
Hiro: Fred? What did you feed it?
Fred: I gave him a bunch of tofu nuggets.
Cora: So it is a gremlin scenario.
Gogo: Tofu nuggets?
Fred: Heathcliff always said its good for growing boys and I guess he was right because his boy is grown!
Hiro: If this Miyoi got big, then what about the others?
Honey Lemon: Maybe its just ours?
Baymax: It is not.
*Baymax pulls out the news channel to show Dunder and footage of the suddenly enlarged Miyoi across town.*
Dunder: Breaking news! It looks like our darling Miyoi are all grown up and destroying the city...but come on. Adorbs.
Cora: We better call Grandmama. She would know about this.
*Soon enough Kaguya is at the lab with the other students.*
Kaguya: Alright now, you want me to study over what is making these pests grow?
Cora: Yes! Thank you!
Kaguya: I would need some equipment though.
Hiro: *Sighs* I know a place...
*Karmi is at the bio lab when she hears the door open. she turns around to see Cora and Hiro with Baymax.*
Karmi: What do you two want?
Cora: Could we borrow your equipment please?
Karmi: And why should I help you and Hiro, fish breath?
Kaguya: *stepping out behind Baymax* Because I require some equipment for study and your behavior is not helping.
Karmi: *Remembers the deadly glare at the lunch area when they first met and strains a nervous smile* Oh! Hehe... you didn't mention its for your grandmother! Of course you can borrow it! Just don't break it please?
*Kaguya walks forward and looks at the biotech student.*
Kaguya: I require Privacy young lady.
Karmi: Oh... OK...
*Karmi slowly walks out the door before she flat out runs out when she sees a large Miyoi heading her way. After Honey Lemon and Cora place the Miyoi at the top of the table Hiro goes over to Kaguya who is soon at work at figuring out what the Miyoi actually are. After snipping a bit of their fur Kaguya looks under the microscope and notes down some interesting features.*
Kaguya; It seems that this creature's fur is composed of fungi. They are more closely related to plants then animal. Baymax would you scan for any features?
Baymax: Scanning. Looking for hybrid characteristics.
*Baymax scans the creature and finds results.*
Baymax: The Mayoi are photosynthetic.
Kaguya: Exactly, they survive off sunlight but they can process any other food it consumes which means...
Honey Lemon: The excessive growing!
Kaguya: Nanochemical isolations... that's how plants communicate... fungi itself have their own network that they use to communicate to each other to signal where any fertile soil is available..
Cora: Grandmama… If the Mayoi are fungi that communicate and search to expand their spores... does that mean?-
*The group turn their heads to see the Miyoi grow larger in size. *
Hiro: Can you reverse this Kaguya!?
Kaguya: Give me time!
Cora: We don't have it Grandmama! Lets go!
*They all run out the room as the Miyoi soon fill up the room, breaking every equipment inside.*
Cora:... Karmi's gonna kill us...
Kaguya: You deal with the mayoi now! And gather up sea water if you can!
Honey Lemon: Sea water? What for?
Kaguya: A large gallon of sea water would kill the fungi and stop spreading its spores!
Honey Lemon: *Shocked at what she's hearing* We have to what?!
*Somewhere in the city a mother is playing with her baby when she sees a large shadow of the Miyoi. She quickly runs off with her baby as the other members of Big Hero 7, already in their ultra suits, trying to stop the Miyoi.*
Wasabi: Remember when they were small? I miss that!
*Fred crawls his way out of the Miyoi's mouth as they struggle to fight the monsters off. As of while Hiro, Cora, Honey Lemon, and Baymax suit up and fly towards the rest of the gang.*
Honey Lemon: I don't know about this, do we really have to kill them?
Cora: Honey Lemon, they're the gremlins at this point!
Hiro: But where are we gonna get a large sum of salt water in such a short time?!
Cora: I say we corral these guys gently and send them to the bay. If these guys are plants I could find a song that they would follow! Research shows that plants respond positively to music!
Hiro: Sounds great! *Via com link* OK guys, we just left the campus and we're gonna need you all to gather the Miyoi to the center of town!
Fred: We got it Hiro!
*And soon one by one, they all lead the miyoi to the center of town with their laser blades, using themselves as fetching sticks, and frisbees. The four arrive at the top
Hiro: Good job guys, we just need to keep them happy and relaxed-
*That is when all the towns' lights change their vibrant colors to an ominous green.*
Cora: Whats going on?...
*Soon all the Miyoi are in a deep trance that they could not be bothered with the others. That is when on the big screen, Mr. Sparkles appears back.*
Mr. Sparkles: Hello San Fransokyo!
Mr. Sparkles: Are you all enjoying my adorable little gifts? Except they're not so little anymore are they?!
Fred: No!
*Gogo pulls Fred out of the Miyoi's mouth. Hiro wraps his arm around Cora as the teen couple look at the crazy manchild with suspicion.*
Mr. Sparkles: That's right San Fransokyo! I've been cooking up all sorts of monster surprises! It was me!
Wasabi: The Miyoi aren't moving!*Straining as he pushes the miyoi hard*
Mr. Sparkles: Enjoyed Momakase? Love the Hybagon? Disturbed by High Voltage's new fishy appearance? And who could forget Orso Knox?!
Hiro: *Not believing it for a second* Sparkles is behind the monsters?
Mr. Sparkles: All me kid! *Notices Cora* You look a little familiar though-
*Cora punches away the camera drone in retort.*
Mr. Sparkles: Ooh~ Feisty!
*soon Mr. Sparkles appears in person.*
Mr. Sparkles: Watch me work!
*And soon his eyes glow an ominous green as fungi grows from his head as his skin turns green. He walks off the building to fall which causes everyone to gasp.*
Hiro: Baymax?!
*Baymax flies forward to catch Sparkles but a miyoi catches him first.*
Mr. Sparkles: The main attraction starts now! Can you guess what it is? Its me! Destroying the city with my fat fur babies!
*And soon all the Miyoi's height increased from being slightly adorable to being terrifying.*
Gogo: How is he doing this?
Wasabi: Its like he's controlling them?!
Hiro: Vibrations! Sparkles is communicating with the miyoi!
Cora: And by using nanochemical osolation!
Fred: Could you explain it in comic book terms please?
Honey Lemon:Its psedo-telepathy.
Fred: Mind control? That's number eight of my top ten list of super powers!
Wasabi: And number one on our lists of problems! How do we stop it?
Cora: Salt water!
Gogo: where are we gonna get salt water?!
Honey Lemon: And I can't produce enough to stop them!
*Gogo tries to knock out Mr. Sparkles but a miyoi hands blocks her path.*
Mr. Sparkles: Did I mention I can see whatever the miyoi see? I have eyes at the back of my head! not literally since its an idiom! Never stop learning! Say bye bye to Big Hero 7 folks!
*The gang scatter around to avoid the miyoi until one of them knocks out Hiro and Cora off Baymax.*
Big Hero 7: Alpha! Aqua Girl!
Baymax: Oh no!
*Baymax zooms to rescue them before they could hit the ground. But when Baymax grabs them to shield them from the impact they are at the mercy of the miyoi. Before it could strike it down, a blast of salt water hits the Miyoi which causes it to quickly disintegrate, leaving the three to feel only tiny drops of water.*
Sparkles: Plot twist! Who's this?
Liv: Liv Amara! And I am here to save this city.
*This catches the other hero's attention when she said that.*
Fred: What?
Liv: I saw the trouble on tv so I created a synthesized orb that contains the salt water to destroy them.
*She reaches her hand out to the two teens, to which Cora takes first... with a rather tight grip.*
Liv: Oof!... tight grip you got there.
*Cora picks up Hiro with the same mistrusting eyes as his girlfriend's.*
Sparkles: Sorry I asked, crush her!
*The Miyoi charge but Liv Amara quickly shoots out the compressed salt water to destroy the Miyoi. A car comes out with Christ driving, the trunk opening to reveal the same machines for Big Hero 7.*
Liv:Now come on!
*And so the entire team set out to destroy these beasts one by one, all that remains of them were pieces of fungi draining down the sewage. Soon there was only one left, and its carrying Mr. Sparkles in the back. With that Fred jumps up high and squirts the salt water to the last miyoi.*
Mr. Sparkles: This is not how I saw things going!
*Baymax catches the man before he gently sets him down. Cora climbs down to see Mr. Sparkles with a rather terrifying death glare.*
Mr. Sparkles: What?
*Cora punches him square in the jaw.*
Sparkles: What was that for?
Cora: Reasons.
Sparkles: Ugh... stupid brat...Oh well!
*He soon jumps up and bounces out of here.*
Sparkles: I'll come up next time for more super monster mashups!
*And so the team is left staring at the water running through the floor while Liv Amara gets all the praise. And with that the city is saved.*
Dunder: In conclusion we are very lucky to have Liv Amara in our fair city.
*The gang are at the dining hall the next day discussing about last night's events.*
Honey Lemon: Since Mr. Sparkles took credit for the monsters, that would make Liv a Hero.
Gogo: She's more insidious then we thought. Krei was right about her all along.
Baymax: Hiro, Cora. I created an image to present something cute for you two to cheer up. Perhaps it will soothe you both.
*The image he created... was not cute at all. Cora clings to Hiro tightly in slight fear.*
Cora: Hiro I'm scared!
Hiro; Uh.. thanks Baymax! That's... very special...
Baymax: Yes, he is a good boy.
Wasabi: So we can all agree that Liv Amara partnered up with Sparkles to make all of this happen!
Fred: Liv showing up to be the surprise hero is a typical villain fake out. Ugh... at least *Coughs out Obakes name to muffle* was more original.
Gogo: Exposing her actions is gonna be tougher than we thought.
Cora: We know that Liv Amara created those monsters to attack the city...
Hiro: But the question is, what is her end game?
*At Sycorax labs, Liv is at her private lab where she opens up a secret passage to reveal at the end of the hall a pod containing someone inside.*
Liv: I won't let you down... After I get all of San Fransokyo bowing at my feet and Nozako's fortune, all of our dreams will come true.
A.N: And that's Something Fluffy? How do you enjoy this twist of events? See ya next time!

Tags/Verses Masterpost!
Figured I should probably make one of these to keep track.
Yakuza-series independent RP blog; open and welcoming to AU, multi-fandom and OCs.  Expect canon-typical violence and dark metaphor; NSFW/explicit content will always be tagged. [THIS POST IS A WORK IN PROGRESS, EXPECT UPDATES ~ posting it now before it gets any longer...]
ME
Robz, 21+; RPed for a long damn time; friendly, but shy.  I write, draw and sing - or at least make motions to that effect. 日本語で書いてことできるんだけど恥ずかしいから英語のほうがいいんです。よろしくお願いします。Interests include: music, video games, horror.  Ask for my Discord ID, and lets plot shenanigans!
CHARACTERS
Tumblr media
[Majima Goro] [Goromi] 真島吾朗 ~ The Mad Dog of Shimano/The Lord of the Night; Sharp as a blade and stabby to boot, Majima is a yakuza through and through - unpredictable, violent and just a bit smarter than he lets on.
[Makimura Makoto] マキムラマコト ~ Not All Who Wander Are Lost; A young woman caught up in a world of darkness she could never hope to fully understand.  Makoto is determined and independent, and perhaps just a little reckless. (Somewhat canon-divergent after Yakuza 0 - rather than returning to Hogushi Kaikan, Makoto instead begins working with charities focused on helping human trafficking victims and other vulnerable members of society. She won’t sit around and wait for a hero any longer, instead, she wants to become her own.)
[Oda Jun] 尾田純 ~ Tachibana Real Estate’s Lap Dog; Unrepentant and proud, Oda knows his place in the world because he carved it for himself.  He won’t let anybody stand in his way.
[Dojima Daigo] - Testing~
[Hana] 菊川花~ Sky Finance’s Backbone; Hana sometimes wonders why she bothers coming to work in the morning, but it’s a good job she always does.
[Akamine Tenji]  赤嶺典二「天使」~ OC; a host originally from Gifu who has no idea what he’s about to get himself into. Polite, gregarious and kind, his sweetness hides an ambition for greatness that he will pursue to the end of the earth. (FC: Mizushima Hiro) Tenji now has his own blog over at @hachidorinoko with both Yakuza and Persona 5 verses!
[Hayashi Bara] 林薔薇 ~ OC; daughter of Hayashi Hiroshi, Bara is something of a tearaway punk trying to find her place in the world. Rude and obnoxious, she is in truth as vulnerable as she appears, though she’ll go to any lengths to hide that. (FC: Tsuchiya Anna) Bara now has her own blog over at @splinteredthorn !
[Futaba Sakura] 佐倉双葉 ~ Persona 5. Not active on this blog, but she has her own sub-blog at @hikikohacker
Hit me up, who knows what’s next.........
RULES
Setting these up as I go along, so forgive me if they’re a bit lax...
DBAA ~ Don’t Be An Asshole; plain and simple!
No minors, please; I keep my NSFW stuff tagged, so it can be avoided if you’d rather not read it, but I will not generally place it under cuts and nor do I wish to feel as if I should.  Absolutely no smut with minors, no exceptions.
We don’t have to be mutuals to interact! We don’t even have to be from the same series/universe/whatever.  If you wanna RP, just hit me up and we’ll figure something out!
If you’re not sure about something, ASK ME! I don’t bite, and I certainly don’t want to cause confusion or frustration with anything I’ve written.  You can message me through tumblr, or ask for my Discord so we can talk things through.
I WRITE A LOT -- I like big paragraphs and I cannot lie... don’t feel like you have to keep up with me! I’d prefer a reply which is short and to the point than to feel like you’re stressing over matching my waffle.
I may unfollow RP blogs which post a lot of OOC/irrelevant content. This doesn’t mean I don’t like you or don’t want to RP with you, it just clogs up my dash and I don’t really like it. Drop me a message if you have any questions, but I can guarantee it’s nothing against you personally! Your blog, your rules -- you do you!

NaLu Angst Week Prompt 5: Insanity
Title: Shots Fired
Pairing: NaLu
Prompt: NaLu Angst Week 2018 - Insanity
Rating: M;
None of these characters are owned by me, they are all owned by the wonderful Hiro Mashima!
 A/N:
Sometimes writing is a struggle today is one of those times since I start back to Starcrossed tomorrow haha the struggle is real fam
FF.net
Insane. This was the definition of insane. Lucy toyed with the knife in her hands as she stared through the skylights and straight into the bedroom of a man. Who even had skylights in their ceiling? Was he just a cocky asshole, or did he just like them? Personally, the idea annoyed her to no end. That wasn’t a surprise since she did most of her work in the cloak of night, and most of her rest came during the day. If she slept at all.
“Are ya going to keep broodin’ up there or do ya want some coffee?” the voice startled her causing a near fall to her death. She’d been wrapped in her anger of skylights and allowed herself a moment of weakness.
“Why would I do that?” she called down to him. She was hired to kill him, and Lucy never failed an assignment. Not even that one history essay that she also threatened to shove down her 6th grade teacher’s throat.
“Ya don’t have to. But you’ve been sitting there for an hour looking like some dirty thief. People are gonna start calling the cops. This isn’t the east side.” He wasn’t wrong. This was a slightly classier neighborhood. Though, that was unsurprising since the man below her was none other than Natsu Dragneel, the son of the head of one of the most terrifying local crime mobs. The blonde herself was just a mercenary. She liked money, and paying rent, so why not do a trade. She had an unfortunate set of skills, and they had the cash. Win-win. Lucy’s father had been the head of the Heartfilia Konzern and had decidedly forced her to learn skills more befitting of a murderer than an heiress.
She’d always had a natural talent for rage induced freak outs, and the training just solidified her skill to channel those episodes into something far more useful. Surely, there were better ways she could live she just didn’t care to find them.
“Why not.” She was here to kill him. The closer she got the better the shot, she figured. She leapt from the top of the building and onto his balcony with a soft thud. Tonight, had been a scouting night but if she was close enough to get the deed done now then it probably didn’t matter much.
“So, do you look into the rooms of guys you don’t know often, or just the ones you’re supposed to kill?” she wasn’t sure she could make a recovery from an accusation like that. While it was correct she couldn’t have been that obvi—
She literally just spent an hour staring at him through a window while fiddling with a knife. Literally, what other excuse could there be for that. Deflect, she decided.
“Drat. You caught me. I’m a stalker with a penchant for cute men with pink hair and abs.” she sighed in defeat while shaking her head. Even though it had been two hours since her last caffeine fix when he brought the coffee to her she still waited patiently with the mug in her hand. She wouldn’t take the first sip. It would be survival of the fittest. From the looks of his toned body she felt he might’ve actually been the fittest in the room.
A soft mewl caught her attention, and she turned to stare at what appeared to be a blue cat with a fish hanging from it’s mouth. She stared in shock, and wonder, while she watched him trot off and throw the fish on the couch. What an… interesting creature.
“Don’t.” his voice was sharp, but that held no effect on her.
“Why is it blue?” she questioned still eyeing the cat with astonishment.
“He. His name is Happy. He’s blue because he’s blue.” He’d replaced the chipper demeanor from earlier with one befitting of the man who held the title ‘E.N.D’. This man was supposedly a demon in the field, and if the tone he gave her was just the top of the barrel she wondered what the bottom would be like.
“I’m a mercenary, not a monster.” She said simply before bringing her eyes back to him. His eyes caught hers immediately. She froze on the spot as she watched the man before her. He had a primal look in his eyes, and not like the ones she’d seen from men she’d seduced to get them alone for the purpose of their death. No, this was one that reminded her of her father. The ice emanating from just his gaze was one that promised the end. Perhaps that was why he was called E.N.D.
Natsu took stock of the girl as she eyed him warily. Many female assassins had come to his home previously, but none of them were like her. He’d watched her out of the corner of his eye for an entire hour. She’d spent 95% of it arguing with herself about what show to watch when she got home, and then the other 5% actually watching him. Either she was underestimating him, or she hadn’t even wanted the job in the first place.
“A mercenary? I thought you were just a stalker who liked my pink hair and my abs?” he was teasing her, he realized. Natsu Dragneel did not tease. In the first place, he didn’t even bother with women. They were annoying, and if he got too close they’d call him drunk. His mind did a flashback to the night prior when his childhood friend Erza had called him out of the blue with enough alcohol in her system to kill a horse. Jellal had assured her safety before Natsu hung up, but that didn’t mean Natsu hadn’t been worried. He didn’t feel like dealing with that for some stranger.
“Can’t I be both? I am a stalker AND a mercenary.” They were nearly the same thing so he supposed she wasn’t wrong, but that didn’t make him happy about it.
“And here I thought I was special.” She laughed. It was a laugh he could get used to hearing. It was soft, and Natsu didn’t have soft things in his life; except for Happy. Speaking of, the cat was eyeing the blonde curiously. Curiosity killed the cat held quite a different meaning here.
“Ha—” he hadn’t even gotten the words from his mouth before the blue furball had launched itself right up on the counter, and the little shit even began to sniff her coffee. Sniffing her drink held no meaning to him, but if she hurt his cat she’d be nothing but blood splatter.
Lucy, as chill as she tried to appear, in the midst of her target immediately panicked. She moved from the counter and crossed over near the coffee pot. She set the mug down before approaching Happy and skritching behind his ears. He liked that apparently since his purring shook his body and was loud enough that she felt like it was echoing the entire room. She let out a breath of relief until she saw Natsu’s position. He was poised like a tiger ready to strike, and boy did his eyes emanate death. She supposed she should call it a night.
And she did. He made no move to attack her, and she made delicate movements to the balcony she’d entered from. A tight grip on the railing was all she needed to throw herself into the alleyway, and then she was moving with a speed she didn’t know she possessed. Still, he wouldn’t follow. Lucy Heartfilia took pride in her instincts, but she still couldn’t stop moving. Blood pounded in her head and her limbs screamed at her to never stop.
Lucy Heartfilia prided herself in her instincts. And her instincts told her to run.
 ----------------
She kept still, this time her body hidden behind a brick chimney. It was a shade of midnight black like her closest friend’s hair. She was whole-heartedly considering bringing Gray into this, but that would cut deep into her profit. She also wanted the glory of being E.N.D’s killer. It would bring in more jobs than she could physically handle. She nibbled her bottom lip as a feeling of excitement rushed through her body.
“Care for another cup?” his voice sounded into the dark, and she wondered if he’d seen her arrive or if he was just that attuned to his surroundings. She sank further into the shadows. Her blonde hair had always done wonders when seduction was an option, but she had always struggled with stealth missions. Especially now as the moonlight shone bright off her pale locks. She wondered if she’d look good as a brunette.
“Not gonna come down?” why’d he want her to? She may still be considered an heiress, but she wasn’t stupid. She wasn’t some trophy woman hanging on the arm of some boring man. She’d never fall for some stupid ploy.
“Huh? Weird. My instincts are never wrong.” He was mumbling to himself. He’d thought she was there, but he could have been wrong. Though, Natsu Dragneel was never wrong. He was the son of the great Igneel, and as such his training was second to none. Still, he could have sworn he saw strands of gold on the roof across from him just as he had the night she’d first joined him for coffee.
He’d scared her then. Maybe ‘scared’ was the wrong word, but she’d retreated under his gaze. He’d been absolutely sure of her intent to harm Happy, until after she’d left and he took a moment to actually consider the scenario. Mercenary for hire joins him for a cup of coffee – likely intending to catch an opening or study his movements – but she never takes a sip of the drink offered. Which he realized made sense. Mercenary hired to specifically kill him doesn’t take a single drink of the coffee offered to her by her target. Her target is him, the local mob boss’ son with specific training, and his reputation on the streets is one of incredible violence. She thought he’d try to poison her.
A fair thought when he went over the scenario in his head. However, that hadn’t really bothered him. It’s just that she’d abruptly moved from Happy, but then returned without cup in hand. He hadn’t quite noticed it then since he was under the impression that she’d harm anything to get at him. Except, her coffee. The missing link. Happy had gotten too close to the coffee, and she’d panicked because she thought it was poisoned.
“I’m a mercenary, not a monster.” Her words had repeated in his mind. She said that, but her face for a moment flickered to something darker. Perhaps, he’d imagined it but honestly he figured she was just a moment away from destroying something – anything.
Lucy wasn’t coming out of the shadows tonight, and she guessed she’d have to bring Gray in, but how she’d get him in was a different story. He did work undercover in a strip club for his current job, and she’d bet an entire mission’s worth of money that she could hire a show. The only issue was E.N.D himself. She wasn’t sure she could take him alone, but she was damn sure Gray would have a little trouble without a place to hide his weapon properly.
She shoved the thought aside for now. It would just have to wait for a bit while she studied. After all, she may not be as physically strong as other mercenaries, but she was intelligent. And damn if she didn’t know how to make a situation work for her.
 ------------------------------
It was another night with a missing blonde, Natsu mused. Or so he’d originally thought. He knew she was lurking in the night, and he was almost certain that yesterday she’d brought a friend. Yet, she still wasn’t taking this seriously. Her argument with her friend was nearly the same as the one she’d had with herself. They were arguing the semantics of which character of a show had the better power. It boiled down to some thunder guy named Laxus, and a man who could control the Earth itself. He learned after a rough screaming match that the man they decided to fold and choose was the former: Laxus. He still thought Jura had potential. That was the exact moment he’d decided to watch the show.
He’d barely caught the name in their screaming match, and he was currently binge watching it with the full intent of finishing the series to its current episode. Fuck, it was a damn good series. The sound of his porch door creaking open caused a smirk to grace his lips. Not that he didn’t have a reason for watching it in full view under his skylights.
“Finally gonna join me for that coffee?” he’d been waiting for her the entire time. He’d lured her here with something she was familiar with, and he’d hoped to at least apologize.
“You wish.” Natsu Dragneel hadn’t realized how much he’d wanted to hear her voice until that moment. He felt like he’d missed out on something the entire time she was gone.
“Then, why are ya here?” There were a million different answers that Lucy could give, but none were satisfactory.
‘I’ve come to kill you.’ Was one.
             The other was rather devastating.
She’d spent so much time watching him that she came to like him. He seemed like a good guy who loved his cat, and simply wanted to live by himself. She’d watched his movements when he fought every assassin sent his way. She’d watched the demeanor of E.N.D become the demeanor of plain old Natsu at the end of every fight. He was like a different person when it came down to it.
They both were. Heiress Lucy Heartfilia the mercenary, and Heir of The Mob Natsu Dragneel had their own goals. Lucy who wanted to fall in love, and get married. Lucy who wanted to leave this life behind. Natsu who seemed to want to live in peace with his blue cat without having to worry about dying. They all had a wish, but there was no genie in a bottle for something like this.
“I have a penchant for men with pink hair and abs.” was all she said. She came around the couch to plop down beside him. Other than curling her knees to her chest she wasn’t really making any moves, but he didn’t think she even would. He hoped she wouldn’t anyway.
There was a loud mewl to Lucy’s right, and he knew it was that damn cat again.
Lucy shifted her position to being cross-legged instead of curled up to allow Happy a place to rest. The blue cat had readily accepted her into his life and she was hoping the pinkette would too. She let her mind trail aimlessly in thought as she stroked the small cat’s body without any ill intentions.
In the end, she’d turned down the job to kill E.N.D even though the money was enough to let her retire on some island in the middle of the ocean. Tenrou was mostly empty besides a few tourists here or there, and she felt comforted by the idea of an empty land to live out her days. Alas, her retirement would have to wait.
Natsu himself wasn’t worried about his predicament. He had two things to be happy about. One: his cat had taken a liking to the girl who’d considered murdering him. Two: the girl who’d considered murdering him was sitting on his couch watching her favorite show with him. He hadn’t realized he’d wanted this scenario until he was in it.
“Oh? So maybe I am special?” he was teasing her now. He’d gone back to teasing, and the blonde was giggling. This one wasn’t soft, it was a little loud, and sometimes it would mimic the sound of hiccups. He wanted to hear more of it.
“Who knows? What if I come across someone else with pink hair and abs?” it wouldn’t be unheard of in a party town like this, but that didn’t matter because none of them would be him. The idiot who argued with his own cat about feeding schedules and had ultimately lost. That had been her favorite scene.
“Damn. I guess I’d hafta kill him.” He said it so nonchalant that Lucy snorted before shaking her head in exasperation.
“You can’t kill everyone with pink hair, Natsu.” He could. He wouldn’t, but he could.
“Was that a challenge?” Natsu was more than aware that it wasn’t, but he was enjoying their conversation. It had a similar feeling to the first night they’d met. It was comfortable.
“You know it wasn’t.” still light-hearted banter. They were becoming quick friends it appeared. She couldn’t be happier than this moment as she stroked the soft fur of the sleeping cat cradled in her lap. It reminded her of the blanket her mother had gotten her when she was born, and the memory pricked at her heart.
She traced from his little pink nose to the top of his fragile skull. Honestly, if someone touched this furball she’d have to kill them mercilessly. Slender fingers traced circles before moving to his little ears. She rubbed one gently between her index finger and her thumb. The ears twitched relentlessly until she let go, and the cat gave an angry growl.
“How ferocious.” She mused before returning to the basic motions of petting an animal in a state of sleep. Soft enough to enjoy it, but not hard enough to wake it. The only issue now was that she couldn’t move until he left. Pet rules.
“Oh you don’t know the half of it. The little shit scratched me the other day when I didn’t pour his food fast enough.” She’d seen that from the roof. It’d been hilarious, and she’d laughed so hard she woke the neighbors.
“Oh? Who’s a good kitty?” she was using the pet voice on him now, “You are. You’re a good kitty.” She gave him an extra good chin rub before letting the cat be.
“Ya know.. You know my name, but I don’t know yours.” He was feeling out what he could get away with here. He wanted to know more about the elusive mercenary dressed in all black.
“It’s Lucy. Just Lucy.” No last name, he noticed. But not for the normal reasons a specialist hid their name. From the expression in her eyes there was nothing but fleeting hatred, and what was obviously a break down waiting to happen.
“Okay, Just Luigi.” She whipped around so fast with a look of disgust on her face.
“It’s Lucy! L-U-C-Y.” he was nearly laughing as she spelled out her own damn name. This woman was stubborn. He liked that. He liked a lot of things about her. Her laugh. The way she played with Happy. Her hair shining in the moonlight. The way she was decked in black, but he was so certain her closet was full of bright colors. They had to be just as bright as she was when she joked with him. When he looked at her all he could see was a normal life in a normal town with a normal house and his blue cat. They’d be surrounded by sunflowers the shade of her hair, and they’d never have to face another assassin again.
That wasn’t in either of their deck of cards. They both had too many red stains on their bodies for there to be any other option for them. What would they put on their resumes anyway?
‘Mercenary – xx years – will work for money’
‘Mob boss’ son – 21 years – will also work for money’
Neither of them were exactly qualified for what was considered acceptable to society. It was at that moment that Natsu Dragneel’s brain halted. He’d been thinking in terms of a future with this girl. The girl he barely knew who had spoken to him all of two times. Somehow, that really didn’t bother him much. It was the connotations behind the thoughts that had forced him to a stop, and caused him to panic. He wanted a future with her that included white picket fences, and stupid PTA meetings at a stupid high school.
“Natsu. We’ve got company.” Her voice snapped him out of it, and he stood quickly. His eyes seemed to haze over, and what had previously been a deep shade of forest green was now a dark onyx. She’d seen both of those looks. She’d seen the tender glances to the roof she sat upon, and the murderous rage that came to be when his homestead was threatened. Right now, she missed that shade of emerald that had comforted her when she’d come to his side tonight. Green meant safety, and midnight meant something wicked this way comes.
She recognized that this was not the best time to be quoting Macbeth, but honestly it felt right and she was not ashamed. Men came crashing through the skylights – those damned skylights – and she jumped out of the way falling glass with Happy in tow. He was hissing, and struggling to get free of her grip.
“Oh? A girl and a cat? This will be easier than I thought.” Lucy grit her teeth, and backed up slowly. There was a bedroom door behind her, and if she could just get this damn cat behind it they’d be fine.
It took a lot of struggling, and Natsu wailing on the assailants with bloodied fists clenched before she finally shoved the cat in the room. She was cursing the fur ball internally, because goddamnit why couldn’t it just go behind the door? Regardless, she was free to join in the mostly finished escapade in front of her. Natsu was down to the last guy, and she was ready to pounce once the opportunity arose. Mostly, she just wanted to hit something. She had been in such a calm state before they’d come crashing through the glass.
She’d been thinking of him. His hair was bright pink – her favorite color if she was being honest – and he had abnormally long canines which had made her uncomfortable at first, but then she found they were kinda cute. Especially, when he smiled. When he smiled it was like the sun was shining, except she didn’t hate these rays. She loved them. It made her think of what normal would be like. Would normal be a small home in some small town in the prairies? Would normal be waking up at 10 a.m. and not being exhausted from watching people from the roof tops? Would normal be waking up to snoring, and pink hair shoved into her neck with a blue cat trying to suffocate her? Would normal be eating breakfast with a certain pinkette shoveling food down his throat because he was late for work again?
What would normal be? She didn’t know how families worked, but she wanted stupid high schools, and PTA meetings with hotheaded soccer moms. She wanted all of that. So when she saw the red dot on his back she was moving before she’d even realized what was happening. Her hand reached out, and her voice screamed out a warning that she couldn’t hear. It was all drowned out by the pounding of her heart so loud in her chest, and the adrenaline rushing through her veins.
             So, she dove.
He was turning as fast as he could, because maybe that meant he’d be quick enough to move out of the way if he could catch the trajectory. The sound of the gun cracked in the air, and glass shattered as the bullet came crashing through his happy ending. Just like that her body fell to the ground with a deafening thud, and it wasn’t long before blood filled the space around her like a lake. If he could find the wound maybe he could stop the bleeding. He could still save their future.
“No. No. No. No. No. Please no.” he whispered over, and over again like he was saying a prayer to something – anything – that would hear his pleas. He’d never been so desperate for a fairy tale ending until he’d met her. He thought anything was possible as long as they were together.
The bullet was lodged deep into her back, and it was not a through and through no matter how much he wished it was.
“C’mon Luce, ya gotta stay with me here.” She was in and out of consciousness, and could barely catch his words. He was fighting her death like he’d fought Happy. It was a losing battle just like then. Her hand twitched, and she barely had the energy to lift just a single limb. She persevered, and her fingers grazed his cheek. A hand gripped hers tightly as a signal that they were there. That everything would be alright.
It wouldn’t be. There was no genie in a bottle to keep her from leaving him. Her eyes flickered open, and finally she was able to see him. It was for a fleeting moment, but still the smile that graced her lips was the happiest he’d ever seen. But he didn’t want that under these circumstances. He’d wanted that in their stupid house, in their stupid town, at a stupid PTA meeting.
Lucy was merely happy that he was okay, and hopefully unhurt. Most of all, his eyes were the color of leaves in the spring. She was leaving the world in his arms, and that was enough for her. Even if she’d wanted their future she was okay with being the past if it meant he’d live.
They were insane after all to think that after all this time they could live a normal, happy life.

❤ ( Jimin and Cel )
x | meme status: accepting!
Dating:
Where was their first official date?
After Celaena threatened some of the people vandalizing Jimin’s office for a second time (the final time!), Jimin insisted on treating her to lunch as his way of saying thank you. The former was prepared to go half on the bill but was surprised when Jimin picked up the tab and bowed his head. “Listen I know it’s kind of cowardly to not deal with them face-to-face, but I really do appreciate you saving my ass those last two times,” he explained.
What is their favorite date location?
I don’t think they have a favorite location, given how crazy their schedules are. They try to spend time together if things work out.
How many dates before their first kiss?
Unofficially, Jimin has kissed Celaena post-mission, mostly a platonic forehead kiss or two before the pair started dating. He probably didn’t pluck up the courage to kiss the young lady on the lips until almost 6 months of working together, if not a little longer.
Who asked who out first?
Celaena after the lunch date thing. Jimin didn’t know if that counted as a date but lowkey kind of counted it in his head?
How many dates before they considered each other a couple?
??? I’ll be honest – since both wouldn’t want to rush things, I think it would take almost a year to get to the couple status for the pair?
Friends:
How many mutual friends do they have?
1 – Briggs.
Which one of their friends is most likely to get in between an argument between the ship?
No one. Briggs works in the US and rarely witnesses what goes on between the pair. Maybe if the pair had a minor disagreement and she happened to be in the vicinity, she might stick her head in and snark something like, “You two argue like a married couple, except we have Ji being the sulky old man and Celaena being the stubborn old lady.”
Which one has more friends?
Jimin might – I say this because being involved in undergrad and graduate studies on campus introduced him to a lot of people. He would likely count a majority of people as acquaintances but many who like him for his work and his persona would count him as a friend.
Which one has introduced the other to more people?
Jimin but he’s not really introduced Celaena to many people because he tries to keep work and personal separated. Plus it’s sort of difficult to explain to his non-Kingsman acquaintances and friends the nature of his work and why he’s hardly available now.
Did they start out as friends and made their way to a couple, or were they a couple almost right away?
They actually had some tension and nearly became enemies after their first meeting. Jimin was a few months into his new role as a quartermaster and was beginning to experience lower level personnel harassing and bullying him, claiming he purposely killed the former Kumiho to get his job. Celaena caught him on a bad day after trying to unlock all of his devices and clean the drives which were loaded with Trojan horses and malware and nearly used her abilities on him when he seemed snappish.
Arguments:
What do they argue about the most?
Probably who is doing the paperwork after a mission. (Especially if something went south and one tries to take sole responsibility of the blame.)
How do they usually solve their disagreements?
Jimin tends to pull the older person card and insists that he is her handler and is responsible for her.
Do they argue a lot or not very often?
Not often. They aren’t the types to raise their voices and turn things into a screaming match. Mostly they’ll try to ignore the elephant in the room and/or sulk silently.
Who admits to being wrong more often?
Celaena in terms of their early missions. Because she has to try to keep her abilities under wraps if she’s trying to charm or obtain critical information from a target, her powers are not encouraged for her fake identity during the mission. There were times when push came to shove and their cover was nearly blown and in those cases, Celaena may act remorseful and will offer to let Jimin note in the mission file that she messed up. (He’ll never write it that way though as he thinks pinning the blame on one person is somewhat petty.)
Cuddling:
When are they most likely to cuddle?
Behind closed doors after work.
Where is their favorite place to cuddle?
Bed or a couch?
Who’s usually the big spoon?
Jimin
Do they cuddle often?
Not really. Neither are against it but usually time isn’t in their favor and they have to use it wisely before heading off to work or school.
Marriage:
Are they married?  If not, is it something that could happen between them?
No. Maybe. Jimin’s concern is making sure his life is somewhat in order before he even thinks about popping the question to anyone. (He knows loans and financial stability are important before bringing another person into the picture.)
If they are married, where did they get married at?  If not married, what is their dream wedding location?
As cliche as this sounds, a small ceremony with only close friends and family on Jeju Island – Jimin would love to show the natural beauty to Celaena.
If married, who proposed to who?  If not married, who would be more likely to propose to who?
Jimin would propose since he’s more of the traditionalist. However, if Cel beat him to it, he wouldn’t complain.
If they are married, which one moved in with the other?  If not married, who would be more likely to move in with the other?
I think Jimin would want to wait before getting married before moving in with Celaena, simply due to his traditional upbringing. (His aunt thinks it’s too soon to move in together with someone unless married since things could go south and if the lease is in both of the couple’s names, then it gets awkward.)
Children:
Do they have kids?  If not, would they consider having kids?
No kids. Unsure. Jimin’s aunt would LOVE to have grandkids running around but that’s her take.
How many kids do they have?  If no kids, how many kids would they want to have?
1 or 2 in Jimin’s eyes.
What are the children’s names?  If no kids, what would they name their kids?
Jimin hasn’t given it any thought. Honestly, he doesn’t think that far ahead!
Random:
What are three random headcannons you have about the ship that are not related to romance or sex?
Before they started dating, Jimin probably begged his friend Hiro to help him bake some sweet treat for Celaena since he doesn’t feel confident in his baking skills. The latter might be a little lowkey jealous but eventually gets all shippy about his sunbae trying to awkwardly woo the “cool fire agent.”
Celaena once bumped into Jimin’s ex Tatiana at the airport. Both were paired as seatmates on the flight and the latter began talking about finding nothing but toads in terms of boyfriends. Celaena pretended to be interested and half tuned out the young woman until Tatiana began bashing Jimin. The former then cut off the bossy older girl and remarked that she walked over poor Jimin and never gave him a proper chance. “Sorry he’s too old school for you, but he’s a smart, perceptive guy and I’m lucky to know him!”
Celaena took Jimin to a BTS concert after winning tickets and struggling to find someone to go with. He went to humor her since he didn’t want her going alone and mainly she wanted to observe his confusion and amused expressions. When the guys began dancing slightly provocatively during one of their songs, Jimin couldn’t help but cover Celaena’s eyes. “Aish these punks – this is not appropriate!” he grumbled, narrowing his eyes at J-Hope who was trying to catch Celaena’s eye.“Aww, is Grampa jealous?”“Eh?! No, no, no! They’re dancing too sexually! And, and I don’t like how that one guy in the bucket hat is looking at you while he dances!”“You mean J-Hope?”“Who the Hell is naming these people these days?!”
Which one is more likely to suggest getting pets?
??? As much as Jimin would like a pet, he worries with the nature of Kingsman that he’ll never be able to give it the proper care needed.
Which one eats more snack foods?
Celaena? Jimin rarely munches since he tries to maintain a healthy body.
What is their favorite movie to watch together?
???
What is their favorite tabletop game to play together?
Sorry – Celaena tries not to smirk if she bumps Jimin back to Start and he’ll grumble.
What are your three absolute favorite things about this ship?
Regardless of being a couple or platonic, Jimin is always going to look out for Celaena.
There is an underlying respect for one another and their abilities and both would be likely defend one another.
Celaena give him a little push – Grampa needs a bit of optimism and youth to bring him into the modern age.
What is one thing you don’t like about this ship?
I haven’t given it any thought. To some they’ll note that there is an age gap that does make both of them pause for a moment, but it is doable and they can overcome the age hurdle after talking it out.
If you had to rate this ship on a scale of 1-10, what would you give it?
7/10 – it’s in progress but both need to overcome their personal self-doubts and try.
Sex:
Who is more likely to initiate sex?
??? I think both are a bit shy to ask. Jimin doesn’t crave sex like other guys plus he doesn’t want to come off as a creep for asking. In a way I could see Celaena gathering her courage and asking if he was okay and that both had a sense of trust before doing it.
Do they prefer to do it in a bed, or do they prefer a chair, or perhaps the shower?  Maybe other spots?
Jimin’s a traditionalist so it’s the bed. Maybe there was a point where the pair got into a playful fight on the couch about something then someone’s accidentally on top of the other and the mood changed.
Do they practice any kind of bdsm in the bedroom at all and if so, what kinds?
Lowkey Jimin is into very light bondage and blindfolds but he’s incredibly nervous about sharing that idea with Celaena or anyone. If they got more comfortable with each other and both gave the okay, he’d try it.
Who’s usually more dominant in the bedroom?
I think both switch depending on the mood. Jimin’s first priority is always making sure his partner is comfortable and receives their ending out of it.
Lights on or off?
Off
Do they share any kinks?
??? Maybe slow, sweet sex?
Does either one have any kinks that they don’t have in common with the other?
??? Jimin has contemplated ball worship but given the fact that his first blowjob he received was a disaster, as Tatiana couldn’t handle it properly, he’s too shy to ask. (Blowjobs in general he’s nervous about letting anyone go down on him because of his size and he knows he’s anything but small.) He’s also curious about pleasuring a female partner to the point where they squirt, but again he’s a little too sheepish to admit that. ^^;
Have they ever had sex anywhere public before?
Absolutely not. Jimin would be mortified to have people watching as he thinks it’s no one’s business to watch him get it on with anyone.
Who would be most likely to suggest bringing in a third person and who would that person be?
NO – Jimin has terrible self-esteem and the idea of a threesome would only ruin the mood. He doesn’t pull the jealousy sex card if it was proposed – more like he’ll close himself off and avoid the person who proposed it for a while.

The Long Way Around 3
Welcome back and Happy New Year's Eve. It's Izuku's first day at Yuuei's General Education Department and, of course, it can't be easy. Still setting the scene, finally introducing my beloved OCs you've probably heard me mention. I got some pics of my cute kids to show off so those will be up later. Will probably post Four earlier than intended just to start progressing the plot more. Thank you for reading! I appreciate it!
Chapter Two <-- --> Chapter Four
Chapter Three: A Long Way to the Starting Line
Izuku was a mess as he ran through the halls of his new high school. His mom wouldn't stop hugging and congratulating him this morning which meant he'd just missed his train and had to wait for the later one. He wasn't late quite yet but he'd hoped for more time to explore the campus. If he was being honest, he'd wanted to scout out the hero students. Oh well there was time for that later, he slows as he approaches class 1-C.
He looks at his classroom with trepidation but also renewed courage. This is where his story begins. Just as Izuku was about to enter, the door screeches open and he finds himself on the ground as another kid runs into him. A bit dazed, Izuku looks with concern at the boy who'd toppled onto him.
He was about his size with very messy orange hair and bright red eyes but, more importantly, he was shaky, pale and looked like he was about to be sick. The boy scrambles to his feet and weaves his way down the hall, presumably towards the restroom.
"Oh god I can't do this, I absolutely can't do this. I can't-" Izuku winces at the sound of the kid losing his breakfast on the hallway floor. What a way to start the day, poor guy.
"Oh jeez, that doesn't sound good," a girl with dark purple hair tied in a tail says as she pokes her head out the door with concern. Next to her is another tall boy with fluffy brown hair and glowing green eyes. She looks down at him and it takes Izuku an extra second to notice the girl has no irises, only pure white sclera underneath her glasses. "Look at you, are you okay?" She holds out her hand to help Izuku to his feet.
"Your mom seems really sweet but you can't let her make you late every day," she says brightly once she lets go of his hand. Izuku just blinks at her. "Sorry, I'm Motome Ayame and my quirk is Past Vision, I can see up to an hour of anyone's past if I touch them," Motome explains with a small smile. Down the hall, the red haired boy has gotten to his feet and finally staggered into the restroom. "What's your name?"
"M-M-Midoriya Izuku," Izuku stammers, he was already a little off-kilter from the confrontation and now here he was talking to a girl! This isn't how he imagined his first day of high school would go.
"Nice to meet you," the brown haired boy says in a friendly, but distracted, voice. So distracted, he probably didn't even realize he'd spoken in English. Now that Izuku looks at him, he did seem like he had some Western features, perhaps he was mixed? "My name is Patrick Takamitsu, please call me Patrick, I'll catch up with you guys later. I want to make sure that kid is okay. Excuse me," Patrick says as squeezes past them to follow the redhead into the restroom.
"Anyway, welcome to class 1-C," Motome says with a shrug as she steps aside to let Izuku in the classroom. "We still have a few minutes before homeroom starts, I can introduce you to some people I was talking to earlier." She says in a way which feels unnatural even though it shouldn't be. Here, Izuku wasn't the quirkless freak who wants to be a hero against all odds. He was just another student with no ties to his middle school self.
"Yeah, sure, that'd be great. Thank you, Motome," she leads him over to a small group who smile and wave with acknowledgement as they walked over. Most of them were girls, he notes with a funny twisting feeling in his gut as he feels his face flush.
"This is Midoriya," Motome introduces to the small group of four crowding around a single desk. "He had an unfortunate run in with that poor kid on his way to the lavatory but Taka- uh Patrick went to go check up on him." Izuku smiles at the group and is pleased when they smile back. "Midoriya, this is Kiyoshi, Kaneki, Korudo and Taketsu."
"Kiyoshi Kokoro, class empath. Don't be so worried about people liking you Midoriya; I just met you and I like you just fine." A tiny girl with the pastel blue hair tied in a braid says brightly. The person standing next to Kiyoshi, a tall girl with soft brown deer ears, horns and tail sighs fondly and pats Kiyoshi's head.
"Don't mind her," the brown eyed girl says, "Koko-chan and I went to middle school together; she's always like that. She just says whatever she's thinking or feeling, even if it happens to be someone else's emotion." She looks down with a mock glare at Kiyoshi who grins before turning back to Izuku. "I'm Kaneki Shika by the way; it's a pleasure to meet you, Midoriya."
"I'm Korudo Dan," the only boy in the group with pale blond hair says with a proud smile. "I can control my body's temperature meaning I can not only survive in any environment but I can heat or chill my body. I may have failed the Heroics exam but I'm going to get transferred and become a great hero someday."
"and I'm Taketsu Akane, nice to meet you," says the dark haired girl sitting in the chair. "So is your quirk like Endeavor's son?" She was a big girl with a rounded face and wavy black hair falling over her shoulders held back by a red headband. "Can you form ice?" Taketsu asks.
"Well," Korudo says awkwardly.
"What about fire?" She continues.
"Not that either," Korudo answers testily, looking annoyed.
"Well what are you going to do? I think they want heroes who can do more than change their body temperature," Taketsu says with a smile but there's a teasing look in her dark red eyes.
"I still have a shot!" Korudo emphasizes. "The Todoroki kid has a natural advantage since his dad is the Number Two. Maybe I can't make ice or flame but I can still do stuff!" The girls begin to chuckle among themselves but Izuku finds he couldn't.
"I believe you," Izuku speaks up, calling everyone's attention back to him. He blushes a bit under the scrutiny but continues. "I-I mean, it is a pretty handy quirk from the sounds of it. Depending on how fast you could regulate your temperature and what adverse effects it had on your body, it could be very versatile. You could perform rescue operations to regions where other people wouldn't survive; you could warm up or cool down sick patients. I'm sure you could even come up with combat techniques that augment your quirk if you really worked at it." Izuku says, losing himself to his thoughts as he went through all the possibilities for a hero with Korudo's abilities.
"Hey, look out everyone; we've got a nerd in here." Another boy across the room with his hair styled in a tall pompadour says before letting out a loud nasally laugh. Izuku shuts his mouth on instinct from years of conditioning. He hates himself a bit for that, how easy it is to fall back into old, bad habits.
"Hey, don't listen to him Midoriya," Motome says, giving pompadour boy an empty-eyed glare that had the other boy turning away in discomfort.
"Yeah, that was amazing, Midoriya. Are you interested in Heroics too?" Taketsu asks with a smile that puts Izuku at ease. He nods shyly as she turns to address Korudo. "Sorry if I upset you, I was just teasing. Besides, I really don't have room to talk," she says a bit nervously. "I was interested in being a hero for a long time but I kind of gave that up."
"Well, I suppose you do have a point that I need to improve both my quirk and physical abilities if I want to transfer." Korudo sniffs, looking unhappy but unwilling to admit it. Korudo looks over at him and Izuku knows that Korudo was going to ask about his quirk. Luckily, Izuku was saved from that reveal by the classroom door opening revealing the biracial boy, Patrick, and the boy who'd been sick. Behind them comes one of the most terrifying men Izuku has ever seen.
Apparently the rest of the class agreed for they all freeze when the tall, dark-skinned man marches into the room. Izuku spots a few scars on his face but, more noticeably, his left hand ended at the wrist and three fingers on his right were partially amputated. Was he a hero? Or some kind of Yakuza boss?
"Good morning class, I am your homeroom teacher Chiura Hiro. Please take your seats," Sensei says in a quiet but stern voice that has the entire class seated and silent in a matter of seconds. "I will not waste your time or mine with meaningless pleasantries. Here is what you need to know: you will be on time every day for homeroom, you will be quiet unless I call on you and you will respect me and your classmates at all times. If you can follow these rules, then we will have a good working relationship," he stops and let the weight of his words sink in before continuing.
"Now opening ceremonies are about to start, we will walk there single file and, once that has concluded, you will change into your gym uniforms and we will conduct physical exams. I understand that your middle schools prevented you from using your quirks during these tests. Well, this is Yuuei and, even though you're in General Education, we still expect you to be able to manage your abilities. So you will be allowed to use your quirks within reason." A quick cheer bursts into air and is quickly silenced. Izuku gulps nervously. Use of quirks, huh, that was going to be tricky.
XxX
Even Yuuei can't make opening ceremonies interesting so Izuku spaces out for most of it as he frets over the upcoming physical exam. He'd hoped to have a little longer before his new classmates found out about his quirklessness. It probably wouldn't be as bad as it had been in middle school but just the few minutes talking to everyone this morning had been real nice. Izuku supposes it was better to get it over with than to keep living a lie. He winces as he remembers that he'd let slip that he was interested in applying for the Heroics department.
Great, they'll think he was useless and an idiot.
His pessimistic thoughts are briefly sidelined by the jaw-dropping announcement that All Might, the Number One Hero and everyone's favorite, All Might, would be teaching at Yuuei this year. Izuku can barely contain his excitement. He'd applied to Yuuei because it was the best hero school in the country but now his idol is going to be here too? Sure, he was probably only going to teach the hero students but Izuku might see him in the halls, hear that loud booming voice somewhere other than his tv.
Despite that bombshell of an announcement, the assembly ends on an awkward note when it became clear that hero class 1-A just, wasn't going to show up. He's not sure what happened there but the teachers look annoyed but not all that surprised. Izuku doesn't see Kaachan. His former friend had spent the last week of middle school announcing his acceptance into Yuuei's Heroics department so Izuku figures he must be with the absent 1-A.
soon, the whole class is dressed in their gym clothes and standing on one of Yuuei's many fields. Chiura-sensei paces calmly in front of them as they're lined up in class order. Maybe it was Izuku's nerves, but he feels like his teacher pauses a bit longer in front of him, as if sensing his weakness, before continuing.
"All right, we will be performing a variety of physical exercises today. This is just like you did in middle school but you will be allowed to use your quirks so long as you control them and use them only for the tests. At Yuuei, we believe in using all of our skills to reach our full potential. Is this clear?"
"Yes, Sensei," they all respond while Chiura-sensei nods with approval. He goes back to pacing with his mangled right hand holding his left stump behind his back.
"I suppose I should tell you a little about myself," he says in a steely calm voice that demands attention with its quiet assurance. "My quirk is Identification which means I can identify the quirk of anyone I look at and use that to compile basic strengths and weakness." Ah, so that was the reason Izuku got an extra look over. I'm still looking for it too, Sensei, Izuku thinks dryly.
"I joined the military right out of high school, became involved in special operations all across Japan and occasionally overseas. This," Sensei says, holding up his hands, "happened nearly 15 years ago during a mission. It cut my military career short but I found work within Hero Support. I have personally worked with many professionals heroes, including most of the ones on this campus, and yes, All Might himself. While I am not a hero; no one understands them better than me. So why am I teaching General Education?" He stops and stares them down with his pale golden eyes.
"Because I understand that the Heroics entrance exam is a load of bullcrap. Any idiot can smash a robot while talented students fall through the cracks. The General Education teachers serve as a checkpoint. I'm sure all of you at some point have dreamed of being a hero, but either due to failing the Heroics exam or lack of confidence, you ended up here. One of my jobs is to evaluate you, see if any of you are capable of transferring." Chiura-sensei stops and gives them one last appraising look, "so put your all into these exercises, your futures just might depend on it." He lets his words settle before giving them a quick nod. "You have five minutes to warm up and then we begin."
Izuku is all but shaking by the time his teacher finishes and why shouldn't he be? The man had looked right at them and said he was going to be the judge of whether or not they deserved to transfer. While it was common knowledge that students could move to the Heroics department, it wasn't something that happened very often. Izuku wonders if he's looking at one of the reasons why.
"Oh man, that was intense," Taketsu says, coming up beside him with a friendly but nervous grin. "Wanna stretch together? Exercises aren't exactly my strong suit and you look like you know what you're doing." Izuku was going to ask her what she meant when he realizes he had automatically started his normal warm-up regimen.
Taking a look around; Izuku notices most of the other students were awkwardly trying to figure out how to work their bodies and some weren't even trying at all. Strength training and martial arts has become such a cornerstone of his life that he forgot to factor in that most people probably don't have the same discipline.
"Yeah, sure, I'll show you what I do," Izuku says, walking Taketsu through some of his work-out. She was easy to talk to and the familiarity of his exercises quickly put him at ease as he explains the purposes of each stretch.
"You really are on top of this!" Taketsu huffs as she attempts to mimic his toe touch only to stop just past her knees. "What kind of quirk do you have to keep you in such good shape?"
"Um actually I'm quirkless," Izuku mutters, hoping she hadn't heard him. But the wide-eyed look in her eyes tells him that she had. "I uh hope that's okay," he says shyly
"Yeah, no, of course it's okay," she says quietly, as if Izuku were some kind of mythical creature she had only heard about but never seen. Taketsu shakes her head, "sorry, it's just a bit unexpected is all. You don't see many quirkless people these days. You said in homeroom you wanted to transfer to Heroics, right?"
"Yeah," Izuku admits with an embarrassed wince.
"Hey, I think that's great," she smiles revealing sharpened teeth. "I can't wait to see what you can do."
"Alright, if you're not ready now, you'll never be," Chiura-sensei announces, startling most of the class out of their small conversations. "We'll start with the 50 meter dash. First three in the class, come up and state your name, quirk and intention for study. You will perform the test and then the next group of three will do the same, is that clear?"
"Yes, Sensei," they parrot back as the first three began to gather up. An explosion rips through the air just then, stopping everyone in their tracks. Chiura-sensei frowns at them.
"We're not going to stop and gape every time one of the hero kids uses their quirks, now hurry into line." As the first three students line up, Izuku was trying to loosen up his muscles which had tensed up at the loud, and very familiar, sound.
According to the strength; Kaachan had to be on the other end of the school, in one of the aft fields probably. It was fine, he was just doing physical exams like Izuku was, nothing out of the ordinary, nothing to be afraid of. But it's easier said than done. Still, he tamps down the rest of his fear while the first students line up and give their introductions.
Izuku's anxiety quickly leaves him as he gets the chance to observe his classmates. It makes him realize a few things. One, spending so much time reading up on heroes, Izuku sometimes forgets that not every quirk was combat suitable or even all that useful; such as the boy who kept tripping over his unnaturally growing hair. Another was that, as far as physical training was concerned, most of his classmates didn't have the strength or stamina suited for these tests. Despite being quirkless, it was clear Izuku was more suited for this kind of exercise than most of the other students.
"Next!" And now it was his turn; Korudo, Kiyoshi and himself stepped forward. He listens to them explain their quirks again; Korudo with Thermoregulation was set on Heroics while Kyoshi the empath wanted to be a teacher.
"M-my name is Midoriya Izuku and I uh I also would like to go into Heroics." He stops and searches for the only person he sort of knows which is Taketsu. She gives him a worried smile and two thumbs up, "and I don't have a quirk." Well, that was done with, now for the fallout. A loud laugh breaks through the crowd. It was the pompadour kid who was hunched over as he laughs.
"What kind of idiot thinks he can get into the Heroics without a quirk? That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard." A few other of the kids chuckle nervously along with him but most glare or shift uncomfortably, probably too ashamed to openly mock Izuku.
"Kamoto," Chiura-sensei snaps which instantly silences Kamoto's merriment. The boy is upright with a startled look on his face as Sensei steps forward and gets right in his face. "I gave you three rules this morning: be in homeroom on time, be quiet while I speak and to respect me and your classmates at all times." He leans down further until he was nearly nose to nose with Kamoto.
"If you disrespect your classmates, you disrespect me. Now tell me boy, is that something you want to do?" Kamoto quickly shakes his head. Chiura-sensei stares him down a second longer before stepping back to address the entire class. "Every student here has earned their place here until they haven't. Likewise, every student has the potential to go beyond and I'm going to do my best to ensure each and every one of you gets there. Now, may we continue Kamoto or do you have anything else to add?"
"No, Sensei," Kamoto whispers, doing his best to shrink into his uniform.
"I'm getting old boy, speak up," Sensei says with an exaggerated grin that reminds Izuku of Rikimaru-shishou.
"No, Sensei!" Kamoto says much louder, his face twisted with fear and embarrassment. Appearing satisfied for now, Chiura-sensei turns back to their group with a much calmer demeanor.
"Alright, if you three are done, then get on over to start line. I'll let you know when to go," Sensei says, resetting his stopwatch. Izuku is too busy staring at his teacher.
He didn't know teachers could do that; his middle and primary school teachers had never bothered to stop any of the bullying Izuku endured as a kid which had been so much worse than what Kamoto had said. He can't properly think of a time when someone other than his mom stood up for him once they knew he was quirkless. Chiura-sensei gives him a look.
"Is there a problem, Midoriya?"
"N-no, Sensei!" Izuku pipes up, dashing over to the starting line where Kiyoshi and Korudo were already getting into position. Now that the worst was over, Izuku feels like a weight had been lifted from his shoulders. Kiyoshi wishes them both well, Korudo appears cocky and overconfident but Izuku is calm. He runs nearly 8 kilometers every day, a 50 meter dash would be nothing.
"Go!" And Izuku was off like a light. All too soon it was over but Izuku feels like he could keep running forever even while Kyoshi and Korudo wheezed. Sensei gives him an acknowledging nod.
"7.2 seconds, that's a full second better than the rest of you so far. Good work, Midoriya, I expect to see that same kind of performance in the rest of your tests. Next group line up, let's see if your quirks can stand up against training and discipline," Izuku lets out a breath as he steps back into line.
Once there, classmates are congratulating him and asking what else he could do. The attention was dizzying and Izuku simply nods at the people whispering at him, not trusting himself not to dissolve into tears if he opened his mouth. It wasn't Heroics but it was lightyears better than where he'd been. Izuku gives Taketsu an encouraging smile as she, Patrick and another boy step forward as the last group.
"Hey! I'm Patrick Takamitsu, please call me Patrick, I'm originally from the good ole US of America but my dad lives here so now I do too!" Patrick begins with a flourish as his skin began to brightly glow. "My quirk is Glow and, like many of my dear friends, I'm also aspiring for Heroics," he beams, literally, causing some of the other students to shield their eyes. Well, it wasn't the most exciting quirk but there were definitely applications with proper conditioning.
"And I'm Taketsu Akane, my quirk is Bloodspell which means I can manipulate my own blood and I uh," Taketsu pauses and considers herself before continuing, "I haven't decided what I'm doing yet." Finally, the last kid steps forward with a tired, but resolute look on his face.
"My name's Shinsou Hitoshi," he says quietly. "My quirk is brainwash and I'm going to be a hero." Not, trying, going to be. Izuku wishes he had that kind of confidence but with a quirk like that it was understandable. There were some hushed whispers behind him but Izuku couldn't make them out, but Shinsou's fists clench by his side. With all of the introductions done, the rest of the exercises seem to pass by quickly.
Classmates chatted more easily with one another, details were shared on quirks and personal history as they completed more and more trials. Back in middle school, Izuku used to be terrible at these things, always finishing near the end despite the lack of quirks involved. Since he started training with Rikimaru-shishou not long after school started, he'd never gotten to measure himself against his classmates.
The rest of the morning was spent completing the other activities but Izuku hardly felt tired. This was nothing compared to what he usually subjected himself to. They're given a few minutes to rest as the results are compiled. Izuku grins at Taketsu, lying red-faced and panting on the grass, she gives a half-hearted kick in his direction when she sees his smile. Kourdo was talking to Patrick, Kyoshi was leaned up against Kaneki's back and Motome had pulled out a book off to the side. For once, everything seems to be going right.
"Alright, line up. We're going to go over the results and then head back inside," Chiura-sensei orders.
The results were stunning to say the least. Izuku came first or close to first in nearly all of the activities as most of his classmates didn't have quirks that enhanced their physical abilities, moreover, it looks like most of them haven't undergone any sort of training. It's ironic in a way, Izuku was the only one in the class without some sort of special ability and yet he ended up with the second highest score of the class.
"Let this be a lesson to you all," Chiura-sensei says after he's announced the final scores. "Strength is not defined by your quirk, but by the discipline of your mind, body and soul. We have a couple of students who are actively pursuing the hero track, for those of you were are serious about that, I suggest you work on your performance and attitude. High school passes quickly, go beyond or go home. You have lunch for one hour and then regular classes will begin promptly at 1300, dismissed."
"That was amazing Midoriya!" Taketsu says, coming up to him with a bright smile that lights up her face. He blushes from head to toe looking at how cute she looks and stammers out an awkward thanks. "Would you be willing to train me?" she questions, pointing to herself. "I need to lose some of these hips, not to mention everywhere else too. What kind of training have you had?" She babbles as some of the others fall in line with them.
"Oh I've primarily trained with Jeet Kune Do with my master, but I worked with Aikido in middle school and have incorporated that into my style as well." Izuku lists off, feeling more comfortable in his element. "I've wanted to be a hero since I was a kid; I know I'm at a huge disadvantage without a quirk so I'm working on training my mind and body instead. Just because Yuuei hasn't graduated a quirkless hero doesn't mean it's impossible."
"That's incredible!" Taketsu says.
"That's insane," Korudo counters, the small group turns to look at him but he frowns and crosses his arms. "What? We were all thinking it," he sighs and runs his hand through his short hair and smiles slightly. "Still gotta admit you beat me fair and square in physical tests; even Taketsu beat me a couple of times and she's got 15 kg on me." Taketsu swats him on the arm.
"My point being, it's insane but Sensei is right, you can't write someone off before they get started and you've got a hell of a start. I'd be interested in working with you too, if you don't mind. I've got this amazing quirk but it doesn't mean much if I can't do anything with it." Izuku is touched by the friendly camaraderie and acceptance of his ambition despite how impossible it sounds.
"Yeah me too! We could make it a group thing!" Patrick says, leaning down to put his arms around Korudo and Izuku's shoulders. "We can be like a secret club! We can train together and get t-shirts and everything." He says, his face glowing a bit.
"Please don't touch me, Takamitsu," Korudo hums as he slips from Patrick's hold. "Midoriya, those things you were saying about my quirk in homeroom, can you read those back at me. I think you have some good ideas that I can work with. Of course, I'd be willing to help you with anything you needed in return."
"Come on, we can talk more over lunch, let's go before the hero kids take all the good stuff. All this exercise has made me hungry." Taketsu says, picking up her pace. The four of them were joking and laughing all the way to the cafeteria and Izuku had never felt so complete in his life.
For just being a stepping stone on his way to being a hero, the General Education department was pretty great too. When he goes home that night, and describes in detail the events of his day to his mom, he tells her that it feels like he's finally found somewhere he belongs, somewhere he can be himself for once. He tells her it's a place that can help him achieve his dream but also make him enjoy the journey getting there.

The Keeper (Part 2)
You X Sehun feat. others
Link to part 1
Hiro begins to look serious. “The hunters are back.”
Your blood runs cold. “Hiro that can’t be possible. You and I both know that they were either killed off or retired.”
Hiro just stares at you with the same unwavering expression which leaves you with no doubt. You know that with the hunters back you would have to constantly be looking over your shoulder because of the tricks they play to lure out packs.
“Do you know who and how many?”
“It was Mr. Lee and and he had about 10 men with him. They caught two member’s from Jonghyun’s pack, but one of them escaped. Apparently he’s torturing them to find us, well actually mostly you.”
“Well shit.”
You wanted the ground to open up and swallow you whole. Out of all the hunters to come back it had to be him. The one who killed your parents. The one who you mauled and tore off some of his fingers. You wouldn’t blame him for wanting vengeance.
“Shit is too weak of a word for this situation. I suggest you start to plan a strategy and we should meet with Jonghyun as soon as possible.”
“I agree. The soonest meeting we can have with him would be next week after the mating season. I assume you are going to leave tonight.”
“You assume correctly. I need to get back because some of the younger mates have already started going into mating season and they have piss poor anger control at this time.”
You were thankful that your pack already had older members with good control of their anger.
You stood by the door and watched sadly as Hiro took of with Suho. You were going to miss Suho a lot. You didn’t realise that you were crying until you felt a tear drop fall on your arm. You sensed the presence of the new keeper behind you. You quickly dried your tears before turning around. Sehun seemed to looked sad but also confused at the same time.
“Sehun, we should get inside. It’s getting to cold.I can show you around the house”
He just looked at you and without saying anything he stepped aside. You walked past him and got a whiff of his scent. For some reason unknown to you, you wanted to get much closer to him and drown yourself in his scent.
Sehun followed you around the house silently. He didn’t look keen to be there and sometimes it felt as if he was judging you harshly when you tried to be friendly. You left him in the dining hall with Chen while you went to go and get a set of keys for Sehun. When you returned you could hear Chen’s all too familiar laughter mixed with an unfamiliar one. You knew that the the unfamiliar laugh probably belonged to Sehun. You stood outside listening, being fascinated by the tone of Sehun’s laugh. You almost jumped out of your skin when you felt someone grabbing your waist.
“Who is our Alpha spying on?”
“Luna, you almost gave me a heart attack and I’m not spying on anyone.”
“You are a bad liar. Your blush is obvious. Spying on the hot new keeper perhaps?”
“Of course not. Don’t let Chen hear you say that or there will be hell for you.”
The door to the dining hall suddenly opens and there stands Chen and Sehun. Chen is wearing a big smirk which could only mean trouble.
“Hello my beautiful ladies who were spying on us.”
You scoff and say nothing knowing that Luna will take care of him.
“Chennie you remember that mating season is soon right.” says Luna in a sweet voice.
You see Chen’s facial expression change to one of horror. You hold back your laugh as you see Luna get closer to him. Your hear her whisper in his ear, “we don’t want last year to repeat itself”.
You take a quick glance at Sehun and catch him smiling, but when his eyes catch you his expression turns blank. You begin to wonder if he hates you.
“Sehun here are your keys.”
As you give him the keys your hand brushes his and you get a warm tingling sensation. You can feel butterflies in your stomach. It’s odd and new to you.
You try to sleep but your brain won’t let you. All you can do is think about Sehun. You imagine what he would look like naked in your bed. You make up images of you and him cuddling in bed with your toddler. your heart races at the thought of having intimate moments with him. After some time you get fed up and decided to walk around around outside to calm down.
Mindlessly walk around and find yourself outside of the training court. You were about to turn around when you heard something heavy, like a body fall on the ground. You run in and find Sehun on the floor. You get closer and are relieved to see that he is still conscious.
“Sehun are you okay?”
He just looks at you. This time you can see the longing in his eyes. You feel an array of emotions bubble up. Love. Anger. Sadness. You couldn’t take this anymore. You finally snap.
“What the hell is wrong with you? Do you hate me?!?”
He just stands up. Still no words are uttered from his mouth. You moved to block his exit.
“Answer your alpha.”
You could feel your eyes change to your wolf form.
“Fine, alpha. I had to come here away from the people I call family. Also, for some damn reason I seem to have developed some kind of feelings for you. I can’t sleep because all I can think about is fucking you and spending the rest of our lives in some kind of romance fairy tale.”
hello everyone. Sorry if this is a bit short. Stay tuned for part 3. I don’t even know how long this is going to be anymore...

Spring 2017′s Bishounen Anime Roundup
Here are my thoughts on this season’s plentiful quantity of bishounen anime - the very same ones listed in this post!  They have all aired by now so now I can comment on them with an opinion on each~
Kabukibu!
I vastly underestimated how cute this one was going to turn out to be.  All of the supporting characters in this show have the same idea towards kabuki that probably a lot of people who read over this show’s summary do - “Who would want to watch something about kabuki?  Isn’t it weird and old-fashioned and stuffy?”
The main character’s enthusiasm toward the art of kabuki will warm your heart to it just as it does for the characters he’s rounding up to join his club.
Additional pros: OP sung by Hiro Shimono with an ED sung by the cast of voice actors for the show (I always love & appreciate that); one of the characters is chuunibyou; you will learn actual things about kabuki and Japanese culture by extension; THERE IS A HANDSOME FEMALE “PRINCE OF THE SCHOOL”-TYPE CHARACTER THAT EVERY FEMALE STUDENT HAS A HUGE CRUSH ON; and the main character is so freaking adorable you guys, it will melt your heart.
Kenka Banchou Otome: Girl Beats Boys
These are very short 7-minute episodes, which I appreciate because I can grab a snack and sit down and quickly enjoy one rather than dedicating significant time out of my day for it.  Hoooooly smokes the heroine for this show is cute (& handsome??) as heck.  I have a huge amount of appreciation for her dusty-pink-colored hair AND eyes (pink is my ultimate weakness, and while pink-haired characters aren’t uncommon, it IS rarer to get a character whose hair AND eyes are both matching pink).  The first ep didn’t introduce many of the supporting fellows but the ones that it did show are 👌👌👌.
Love Kome: We Love Rice!
This is another series of short episodes.  They are very silly.  The characters have VERY imaginative hairstyles, lol.  This actually might be an idol boy anime; I honestly can’t tell yet??  The protagonist keeps talking about forming a “rice unit” and “performing” at a harvest festival??  Are they gonna sing & dance??  Are they idol boys?????  I don’t know but they are beautiful????!?
Oushitsu Kyoushi Heine (The Royal Tutor)
Okay, out of everything I’m watching this season, THIS one is my favorite.  It has a very successful manga that it’s adapted from, surprisingly serialized in a shounen manga magazine - and it even has a stage play already in the works, so you don’t need my opinion to surmise that this is a lovable series that’s on the rise.
I love EVERYTHING going on in this show - the beautiful royal palace setting, the shiny art style that emphasizes the princes’ soft hair and long-lashed eyes...  But the real things that win me over for this show are 1) it is very funny, with well-timed quips and visual gags, and 2) THERE IS ALWAYS SOMETHING ENDEARING AND HEARTWARMING AT THE END OF EACH EPISODE...
seriously what the heck this show makes u feel so happy??? for these spoiled princes to have this cute professor looking out for them???????  and the hidden depths that each of them are concealing????
I’m unfamiliar with the manga (and please, no one spoil this for me..), but with the setup these characters are getting in their setting, I just have this huge suspicion that this show is gonna get really heartbreakingly sad and/or very dramatic political intrigue is going to be involved.
Room Mate: One Room Side M
This is, as suspected, a first-person, situation-type anime.  It flows WAY more naturally than Makura no Danshi, however, with no weird pauses between dialogue, and is considerably less awkward to watch.  I don’t know, I just didn’t find this weird/unnatural/creepy/uncomfortable at all, like a lot of people did with Makura no Danshi?  This seems really cool.  The three characters it introduced as your room mates have great designs and fun different personalities.
I didn’t know this going in (maybe folks who have prior knowledge of the moe anime One Room knew, though), but there are ecchi elements to this OMG.  VERY suggestive little post-credits scene there ahahaha;;;;;;;;
i don’t hate it at all i am ready for more eps of this.
High School Star Musical Season 2
Ok please don’t tear me apart here, I have a habit of never saying much of anything negative about anything I watch, and as a result I have kind of never talked about High School Star Musical at all lmAO;;;
I love my idol boys, and I don’t dislike StarMyu at all, I swear!!  It just........ is not as exciting as the other idol anime I have seen, there weren’t very interesting conflicts or character motivations involved, and the character designs are relatively plain (specifically referring to their hairstyles, face shapes, eyes & eye shapes...).......
so, going into this, I wasn’t really all that excited for StarMyu 2 (but eager to watch it anyway)
BUT THEN
THIS NEW FREAKIN’ CHARACTER NAMED AGEHA SHOWS UP
his name means “butterfly” and he is this cool beauty-type character, all cold and taciturn, and voiced by Nobunaga Shimazaki how could I have possibly resisted the charms of this character, there was no hope for me
he is also SLIGHTLY CREEPY, perhaps yandere??? toward this other established idol in the industry and
let me tell you, this weirdo new character is exactly what StarMyu needed to shake things up, I am so into this season and it is 100% because of this one new character.
Yume Oukoku to Nemureru 100 Nin no Ouji-sama: Short Stories
This widely spaced-out series of shorts are available on Youtube to watch, and as far as I know, no translation team has worked on giving them subs yet.  If you decide to catch the first ep anyway, it is VERY silly, but worth watching for the incredibly beautiful character designs, and a lovely classical royal palace setting much like Royal Tutor Heine’s~  The bright & fun color palette in the bubbly OP is especially captivating to me haha.
This concludes my roundup of my helpless dedication to anime boys, thank you for reading!! :*:・ヽ(゜▽ ゜)ノ・:*:  I kind of just wanted to put this together because all of these are pretty under the radar so if anyone reading this also loves bishounen but didn’t know about any of these, now you can seek them out if you’re interested~

The Ruined King, chapter 11
Tumblr media
Pairing: Felix x Liz
Summary: Hawkeye is once again moving through Gedonelune, and it looks like their aim is on the heart of the Dragonkin Ruins. It looks like we’ll need the help of the three Reciters to solve this mystery!
Previous: Chapter 10
First: Chapter 1
I turned to the others- who were now all at gaping at me.
“What are you planning, Liz?”
“We'll need people to throw Hawkeye off our trail. We can make clones of the ones who go into the ruin- or the ones who leave,” I explained. “Would you be willing to help us?”
“I never thought I'd be doing this.” To my surprise, Hugo stepped forward first.
“..I'll stay behind,” Lacan said suddenly.
“Lacan-”
He gave a bitter smile. “I'd not do well in the dark, Felix. Besides, someone needs to take care of things here.”
One by one, the others stepped forward, though they grimaced as the machine started. Something flickered across Lacan's face as he read it, but I wondered if I was just imagining it.
I couldn't just let Felix go on his own, into the dark. “I'm going with you.”
“You? ..Are you sure?” His expression wavered. “You'll be in the element of darkness.”
“I'm sure of it!” I said. “Besides, you'll need my powers as the Goddess of Time, if Hawkeye should intervene.”
“..All right, let's go.”
In the end, it was decided that me, Felix, Lucious, Zeus, Hiro, and Willem would head into the ruins together.
Once we stepped through the eeiry rooms of the cloning facility, the walls soon turned to marble.
"I remember this," I said, tracing my hand over the wall. "I think I saw this road when we came to the mines before." Even still, the gleaming walls were an impressive sight.
"They run all throughout this mountain," Felix said. "Although I admit, it has been a long time since I've continued down this path to the heart.”
"Should we be on the lookout for traps?" Lucious asked.
"..That would be a smart idea. I'll send some minidragons to scout ahead of us. Step back." He raised his hands, letting the darkness pour out. In a minute, the dragons scampered on ahead of us, and we followed on after them. I could hear their voices yipping ahead of us.
"Felix,” I asked carefully, “are you sure that this isn't putting too much of a strain on your magic?" He was already powering the clones from his own pool of magic.
"This is nothing, Liz," he said breezily as he continued along. "It would take a much greater force to put a strain on my magic. Besides, we are in my element. This will be no trouble at all."
But I wondered if I was missing a slight flinch as we continued into the darkness.
The darkness grew as we walked through the temple, and once again I found that eiry feeling that we were being watched.
'Cordelia wouldn't be following us all the way here, would she?' I thought. No, according to Lacan, her element had been light; even she would have trouble following us this far. 'Now's not the time to get worried. We have Felix at our side.'
My gaze fell to the walls. I could just make out writing on the wall, just like the previous ruins, though I couldn't read the words.
"Hey, Felix," I asked, "if you don't mind me asking, what does this say?"
"I was curious about that too," Hiro said, eying the walls. "Does it tell the story of the Dragonkin like the other one?"
"..Something like that." He lifted his head, studying the walls. "It's more like a record of our lives. People would come in just to paint.. just to make a memory on the walls. Sometimes it was just as simple as signing their names."
A record of their lives..
"Felix and I used to come here all the time," Willem said happily. "Time and darkness has worn this place away, but it was once a place of splendor. We would chase each other through the hall and play with the Minidragons, even though the others would tell us not to."
"I remember," Felix said, a ghost of a smile playing on his lips.
I kept my eyes on the walls as we walked through, and I wondered what it must have been like, back when this place was full of life- and light.
I wondered, if I could read the words, would I be able to find their names among them?
"You've got to be kidding me.."
A giant wall of rocks blocked our path. "The ground must be unstable here," Felix said. “It would be better for us to get through them quickly.”
Lucious knelt before the rocks, prodding at them. "It almost looks like there's a hole here. Almost big enough for something small to crawl through. If we could send someone to the other side.."
Zeus laughed. "Great, you should be able to fit no problem!"
"You...!"
Felix and Willem exchanged an uneasy look. "You know," Willem said, "it would be just about the right size for-"
"I think that you would be a much better match for it," Felix said hurriedly.
“Oh, Felix, you know how poor I am at transformation magic,” Willem said playfully. “You always were much better than me.”
"..Fine." With a puff of smoke, Felix turned into the Slightly Off Taffy and walked up to the hole in the wall. To their credit, Zeus and the others tried to hold back their snickering.
"Felix, can you see anything on the other side?" I asked, walking up as he disappeared through the wall.
"There's a clear path ahead of us; that should be the line to the heart of the ruins. Stand back, and I should be able to knock through the walls."
"Hey, wait a minute-" We quickly scrambled back; in an instant, the rocks were blasted away, leaving a giant gaping hole- and a tiny plushie waiting for us.
“Tada!”
Zeus shivered. “..Remind me not to get on his bad side.”
"Oh, come on, this is a dead end!"
"I was sure that this was the right way," Felix said. "I can feel that the gem's presence is nearby."
"Perhaps there's a secret door then?" Lucious asked, stepping forward. "Or something that we need to go through."
"Watch out!" A barrage of arrows came flying out of the dark; Willem quickly raised a barrier to block it, shielding Lucious.
"It looks like we're going to have to be careful." Felix reached out, tapping the stones with his feet. “There are probably a lot of traps in these halls.”
Zeus, Lucious, and Hiro shared a glance and smirked. “Leave it to us! We can handle this!”
As we went through the temple, we encountered traps of all sorts, but Felix swept through them easily, clearing away the rocks and debris- or Zeus, Lucious, and Hiro handled it with ease.
Soon, the darkness was growing thicker, until I could only just make out the writing on the wall. "We must be getting closer.."
"Watch your step, Liz," Felix told me, taking my hand. "The ground is only getting rougher here-" But scarcely had the words left his lips than did his foot catch on something- sending him plummeting to the ground-
"Watch out!" I just barely managed to catch his arm before he fell. His eyes widened, and I realized I was suddenly nose to nose with him, staring right into his eyes.
"Thank you. I guess I should be more careful." He got to his feet, moving along. But my heart wouldn't stop racing.
I kept my eye on Felix as we proceeded through the ruins. 'Okay, he's definitely starting to slow down..' Felix was starting to stumble on the stones more and more.
"Felix, I think that you need to rest," I said firmly. “You're using up too much of your magic.”
"I'm fine," he said. "The sooner that we can get through this place, the better." In the dark, I could make out the others exchanging weary looks.
He must have been expending more and more of his magic. He was going to run out before we even got too much farther.
Only one thing for it."Well then, I think I need to take a rest," I said. "This darkness is starting to sap my energy."
"..Very well. I suppose we could stop for a few minutes." He stopped, leaning against the stones. The others let out a sigh as they plopped down on the ground around us with a sigh.
"This is taking more out of me than I thought," Zeus said, wiping his brow.
"Oh! I think I still have some of those cookies from earlier." I took out the little bag from my peram, holding them out to Felix. "Here."
Felix quietly took the cookie from me. Even Zeus didn't seem to protest this time, as if sensing that he needed them more.
"..This is delicious," Felix said quietly. "Thank you."
"No problem. I'll be happy to make something for you any time you want, when we get out of here." And if it helped him to rest a little, all the better.
Still, the darkness grew thicker as we continued down the path, and we once again came to a branching path.
"..Felix, do you remember which way it was?" Willem asked, and Felix shook his head. In the darkness, it seemed as though he was paler than usual. "Then it might be best to split up again."
"I'll go with you, Felix." I wanted to keep an eye on Felix. And I felt his hand tightening in mine, as if to say 'thank you'.
And then it was just me and Felix, walking through the darkness alone- the darkness growing until I couldn't see anything in front of my face, until the only feeling that I knew was the rough cavern floor and Felix's hand in mine.
"Liz?" Felix's voice called out. "I.. I would like to hear your voice."
"What should I talk about?"
"I don't care. Anything," he said. "I just.. I just need to know that I'm not alone in this darkness anymore."
"Oh." Oh. And suddenly it was becoming clear why Felix had been acting this way, practically rushing us through this place. "This darkness is.. really getting to you, hasn't it?"
"More than I'd care to say," he said; I felt his hand tightening in mine.
I needed to do something to help him, a way for him to hear my voice, even if it was just a little.
I started to hum, the song that had always brought me such comfort, the song that Shu would sing for me.
His voice was distant as he spoke. “I have spent so long in this darkness.. screaming in the dark, for anyone to find me, hatred and pain festering inside me.. until I never thought I'd see the light. Until I'd forgotten everything but that pain, until I'd forgotten who I was-"
He laughed, harsh and bitter, echoing through the cavern. "And then I was thrust into the light.  I was given another chance, to stand in the sun. Someone gave me a chance. I thought.. I thought I could put that fear behind me. But suddenly, I find myself thrust into that darkness once again, as though.." He laughed, shaking his head.
"Was it all a dream? Am I just talking to myself? Was it all nothing more than just a foolish, hopeless dream?"
I had to do something. I grabbed his face, turning him to face me. I could see a strange light in his eyes. "Felix, it's all right to be afraid. I'm here for you; I won't leave you.”
Tumblr media
"Afraid.. I'm afraid. Afraid that everything could be taken away from me again. I'm afraid that you will be taken from me, Liz."
"Felix.." My heart tightened as I heard his pained words.
"I want to protect you," he said firmly. "More than I understand. With you.. I feel like I can start to dream of a new future. But this new life feels so fragile. I feel like Hawkeye or the Wizards of Old could take you away from me again- that all of it could fade away-"
I'd watched him suffer for so long, and I couldn't stand aside and see the man that I loved suffer any longer.
"Felix, I'm here." Even if I could no longer see his face, I could hear his voice, feel his hand in mine, I knew that we were here. And suddenly, the words came pouring out me. "Felix, I'm here with you. And no matter what happens, we're going to stand together. Hawkeye and the Wizards of Old can come for us, but it doesn't matter. We're stronger now. Whatever happens, we'll stand together, all right?"
"Liz.." He smiled, pressing his forehead against mine. "I want to stand with you. I want to stay with you." He met my eyes with certainty, and I felt it, the words that he could not say. I knew in my heart that he felt the same as I.
"I'll stay with you," I said. "I promise." I leaned in-
And I found myself pressing up against something. When I looked up, in the darkness, I could make out an intricate door. "..What is this?"
"It looks like we're here," he said with a slight laugh. "We made it through the darkness after all." He took my hand.
"Should we wait for the others?"
"I don't think they'll mind if we wait inside." Felix pulled down his hood, his horns glowing. The door opened, revealing an intricate chamber.
"This feels like the first one," I said, glancing over my shoulder. "..You don't suppose they're hiding here, do you?"
"I doubt it; they would need my magic to get in," he said. He seemed more at ease in this chamber, strolling up to the throne at the center. "Would you like to see the gem?"
"Of course!" I ran to his side. He knelt down, scooping up the gem. The gem was as black as night, the size of a pomegranate, glowing in the darkness. "It's beautiful.."
"This is the heart of this place, the gem of darkness," he said.
"It glows like you do." The words tumbled out of my mouth, and he looked at me in surprise. "I mean.."
"Thank you," he said with a smile. The darkness seemed to fade as he stood up.
"..Hey, Felix?" Something occurred to me. "Are we going to have to walk all the way back through the darkness again?" Hard enough the first time, but I felt sick even thinking about it now.
"The darkness should fade once we take the stone out of the chamber," he said. His expression turned serious. "However, that will make it easier for Hawkeye to catch up with us."
'I hope that the others are doing well,' I thought. 'I wonder what they're up to right now..'
"Ugh, that was a nightmare!" a voice boomed from the doorway. A moment later, Zeus staggered into the room, the others trailing behind him. Willem was supporting Lucious's shoulder as they walked into the room. "I'm never doing that again."
"Perhaps we should have saved those cookies for the way back," Felix said with a slight laugh that sent my heart racing. I couldn't help but join him in laughter.
"What do you mean the way back?!"
Zeus: I can't believe that we're going to have to walk all the way back, after all of that!
Lucious: At least we won't have to walk through the darkness again. That was way too creepy for my tastes.
Zeus: I guess you have a lot of experience walking through a dark and creepy place, don't you?
Lucious: Did you have to bring that up? Now it's going to make the journey back even worse! Let's just get out of here..
Zeus: Next time, The Battle.
