Anyway you know the handholding scene of miscommunication? (Anyway I say as if I you were here for the earlier part of the conversation that happened in my head.) Anyway I’d really love to read a story with Jimmy and someone (not Thomas no very thank you, maybe someone after Jimmy leaves Downton) where that dynamic comes up again and just. Keeps going. The “I successfully said or did something kind and now I am subject to unwanted intimacies from someone in no shape to perceive subtly indicated boundaries and I don’t know how to set boundaries blatantly (perhaps because of a power differential or circumstances like being in public and not wanting to draw attention to what’s happening) so fuck I guess I’m holding this person’s hand now” dynamic, but it just keeps going. He keeps trying to be kind (for some Jimmy-plausible reason) and the unwanted intimacy keeps escalating, and maybe the person also accidentally does something emotionally harmful beyond unwanted intimacy, and he’s scared to explain that it was harmful so he says thank you instead and it just. Keeps. Going.

and then, I don’t know, the good fairy comes down on a moonbeam to rescue him and take him somewhere full of rainbows where everything is okay forever the end.

i swear i had a lot in my head but not i'm as head empty as that gif of vasily. but seriously when i read the books i didn't put much thought to vasily ( you know, similar to LB ) so i was surprised when i saw a blog for him come up on my dash. and then i started to see you on my dash more and i was like okay!! i can see it. i can see him being more than just what we saw on the pages. and like tbh i always enjoyed reading your and sarah's threads even before i became friends with you guys. it was always so obvious the care you put into his characterization to create a multi dimensional character that was not only fun to write with but also made sense in the canon material he came from

i am seriously so thankful to have you as an rp partner and it's been so fun to throw the idiots into many different situations and i can't wait to see what we come up with in the future for them. you're an amazing rp partner and an even better friend and i'm very thankful to have you in my life. even if your portrayal of vasily is so good that i both love him and want to shake him on a daily basis

Ya know when people told me "when you're finally safe enough that you can leave survival mode and start to let go of and process your c-ptsd/trauma things are probably going to get really, really bad before they slowly start to get better" I thought that was reasonable. I did not understand that by "things are going to get bad" they meant "you're going to find yourself in the worst mental state of your entire life, but dw, that means it's working" and tbh I simply wish someone had been more clear.

Edit: If everyone could please take a minute and think about what it must feel like to be struggling and then have multiple strangers say to your face that they find the prospect of going through what you're going through so horrifying that they'd rather kill themselves and then stop leaving comments like that I would greatly appreciate it.
