alr so i tried to turn the hm 2023 hhg designs into modern human dudes bc i need them for my mall cop au but OMG I CANT TAKE THEM SERIOUSLY WHO DECIDED THEY WOULD LOOK LIKE THAT!!! apologies if these designs are garbage, i tried 😭😭😭
(i do not consider these guys the same characters as the ones from the rides, the comics, or the 2003 movies btw, theyre too different in shape/facial language to be the same guys, end of discussion)
anyways yeahh uh in my au these sillies live together in the same apartment complex as bruce, ben, constance, the mariner, and some other haunts that im gonna turn into human designs later. they play d&d with kent sometimes and their car keeps breaking down (hence the whole hitchhiking thing)
-phineas probably does business or finance or something that makes him need to travel a lot (he still lives w ezra and gus because living alone in your mid 50s/60s is lonely, and honestly good for him)
-this ezra looks like a fashion guy or smthn, idk he fancy ill figure it out later. he doesnt look like spamton in this movie and it makes me sad
-gus is their roommate who has been to prison multiple times and cant hold down a job. they keep him around because they love him and he "mysteriously conjures" free tickets to local plays a lot
(i will give phineas and ezra their hats + phineas his coat back i promise but i needed a ref of their hair/casual attire, so no hats/coats just yet)

so. phinbella and byler.
thinking about this post where it compares byler and phinbella from phineas and ferb along with more important points and,,,
and the more i think about it, the more i get confident. bc im now realizing how.. alike the two pairings actually are, especially now that its official that will ripped off the bandaid and decided to move on.
yes im making a long-ass parallel analysis involving stranger things and phineas and ferb. dont talk to me
so in PnF, phineas and isabella are established as childhood best friends first, who clearly love each other. in how the episodes are set up, we always see isabella's pov and never get a glimpse of phineas'. mike and phineas are the same in regards to both being clearly intelligent leaders but oblivious as fuck when it comes to emotions or feelings. (lol though the difference between isabella and will is that isabella was BLATANTLY obvious and phineas' obliviousness was supposed to be played off as a joke bc of how dense he is)
but even if phineas is dense, he always, always showed signs of caring about isabella. some examples of what he did for her was building an entire haunted house to cure her hiccups, giving her an extravagant surprise birthday party, and even making a giant ice cream sundae to help cure her tonsilitis.
he also has instances where he just says shit friends arent Supposed to Say to Each Other
(hmm...who else do we see showing their friend a lot more attention and care that goes.. beyond platonic territory?)
phineas and mike are the same in the way they show a special kind of love to isabella and will. yes, they still both care about the others in their group, but other people can vouch they wouldn't do the things they did for anyone else other than their respective best friends. in core, it is romantic, even if the person doesnt know it is.
and as for the comparison between isabella and will, theyre devoted and head over heels in love with their best friends, but are terrified of how the other will think. they both also had moments where they pushed their own feelings aside for the good of the other and for their happiness, even if it means that isabella and will dont get what they want because they love them way too much.
anyway im mostly talking about mike and phineas here bc of the solidarity with their mind being full of rocks
so moving on to the episode where phinbella got together.
this episode was considered a miracle because we finally got to see both phineas and isabella's pov. isabella moved on during jhs and became more distant due to her planning for college and other volunteer work.
but even after everything, despite trying to forget phineas, it only took her seeing one photo of him for all of that effort to be in vain because she realizes that 10 years of friendship is too much to just 'get over'.
sound familiar on whose arc that's similar to? that's right, will. if we’re referring to the script, will is in the process of deciding to move on in s4 and keep his distance, accepting the fact he lost mike to el; when we as the viewers know he didnt. he's too caught up in his own insecurities to realize mike values him a lot, hence the bedroom scene between him and mike. will is gonna realize eventually that no matter how much he tries, he cannot let go of mike so easily considering their years of history.
as for phineas, its revealed he genuinely did not know that isabella loved him despite all the hints she gave to him. and its only after she left and became more distant during summer that phineas realizes how much he valued her, and even confirmed he started having feelings for her during high school. it also took other people to say it to his face that isabella had a giant crush on him for him to finally look for her and confess before she goes off to college.
again, another parallel! theyre both oblivious as fuck!
mike is confirmed by finn and the duffers that mike knows jack shit about what will feels. the script that was released showed us absolutely no insight on mike's thoughts, which is already telling on itself.
and in the end, phineas and isabella chased each other, talked, and finally admitted their feelings for one another and got together.
it leaves us the good kind of ambiguity that if mike is clueless, it doesnt mean he'll react to will negatively. thats the reason the possibility of mike finding out will lied about the painting is SO important because it's the end all be all moment for both of them. the ‘Oh.’ moment. so if mike and will just talk, then everything falls into place. they will have THE heart to heart.
so in conclusion, if we think about it this way and compared them both a bit more on how will 'ripped off the bandaid', it doesnt immediately mean its over. because like people said, will decided to move on, but that is not an utmost guarantee that the boy will. 10 years of feelings is not something you can forget or move past from. and lastly, we know nothing about mike's pov and how he's gonna take it if he does find out.
this realization also hit me harder on how fucking romantic coded byler is because of how many parallels we can pick up from these two alone. we have the perfect setup of person A falling in love and giving up. now, we're just missing person B’s realisation, then chasing A. finally they talk, probably kiss, and for once be on the same page.
this shit aint over, guys. byler is endgame.

One winter break morning started like non other, phineas Flynn and his step brother ferb fletcher sat in the backyard. Ferb wearing a black sweater with sewed on star’s and wrenches and such. Phineas on the other hand..did not want to wear a sweater or normally..pants. He wore what he usually worse since it wasn’t as cold for him. His shorts and striped shirt in the comfort of his own home too.
He swayed his arms up in the air huffing out as you could see his breath “ferb I don’t know what we’re gonna do today” he said shuffling himself to face his step-brother whome’s eyes were directed at phineas. The main course of attention, he smiled at sight, looking away as he played with his hands “ever wonder what it feels like to be a puppet?” He asks before.. ding! “Ferb, I know what we’re gonna do today!” He said swiftly jumping on his own two feet “we can turn ourselves into sentient marionettes!” He says with a wide smile as ferb struck a thumbs up “great!” He turned around and almost as if on que Isabella Garcia came in scene hair almost frizzy as her pink sweater was a little bigger than her. “Hey phineas, whatcha dooing?” She asks swooning a little, he turned his attention to her wide smile almost shining like the sun “We’re turning ourselves into marionettes!” He said “wanna join?” He asks tilting his head.
Isabella hummed a little walking towards her one and only beloved “sure!” She said happily stuffing her hands in pocket quickly. “Great!!” The red headed boy exclaimed arms quickly lifting in the air “get the gang and me and ferb will start!” He said turning around and running to grab his toolbox.

With one quick writing the hours quickly passed the Marionette machine was done. “Hmm felt pretty quick dont you think?” He asks ferb, who was just as confused. “Writers surely don’t have the time to get into detail perhaps?” The British said. Phineas gave ferb a very confused look, he obviously didn’t know what ferb meant by details or writers in this fact. But Before he could even speak, Buford interrupted “what is this dinnerbell?” Buford asks, “we’re turning ourselves into marionettes! Care to join, Buford?” He asks a little too eagerly as he waved his hands back and forth. Buford who was holding baljeet like a suitcase faced his gaze to baljeet “what’s our schedule.” Buford asks his nerd As Baljeet looked at a piece of paper “nothing” he said casually as if this was a normal occurrence to be held like a suitcase and be a simple calendar. “Great! Ok!..hey where’s Perry?” Phineas looks around raising an eyebrow in confusion.

Heinz doofenshmirtz laughing out maniacally as his nemesis was trapped “ahh Perry the platypus. As you see your bosses screen wasn’t working. Yea?” He asks cheekily leaning on Perry’s pretty spacious trap. Perry the teal platypus, raised an eyebrow at Heinz in ways to say ‘no shit Sherlock’
Heinz rolled his eyes playfully “well I introduce you, the GONE-WRONG-INATOR!” He yells, dramatically uncovering a brand new shiny inator “you see Perry the platypus, you were sleeping last time I monologued. I’ve always had bad luck. Also proven by my entire house exploding” he rambled out of context before snapping right back “besides that. I had given myself good luck for a day. Great by the way” he said chuckling “but I’ve decided why not give everyone a taste of everything they do going wrong!! What it’ll do is whatever they’re doing will go horribly wrong at that exact moment!” He said cackling. Putting his hands on his hips “but i am out of buttons so it’s just set at random shooting..” he sighed turning around “but it’s not like we haven’t shot random beams already!” He shrugged off. Perry rolled his eyes looking around of ways he could get out.
And atlas! There was. Heinz forgot to lock the cage. He swung the door open in a calm matter as Heinz turned his gaze “huh..” he let out, resting his chin on his hand “I knew I was forgetting something” he said eyelids lowering as if he’s feeling remorse for himself. Quickly he was kicked in the chest by a platypus. Letting out a grunt he was not letting this get him. He got right back up and grabbed Perry by the hands “you thought you got me this time hmmm Perry the platypus?” He said pinning the platypus to the floor. “Well not this time!!” He said chuckling out. Perry growled out trying his most to squirm out. Heinz being as tall as he is picked up Perry by the hands “watch as I cause pure chaos in the Tri-state area!!” He said walking to his inator and pressing a button. The inator powered up coming to life, turning its nob around and right to a neighbourhood.

Phineas was starting up the machine too ferb who was more then willing to become a puppet first. “Alright curb try not to- move?? To much!” He said happily.
He walked over to Buford baljeet and Isabella watching the machine warm up and prepare itself. Watching the machine with proud in his eyes he felt dread wash over him.
Something wasn’t right and it felt awful to phineas. The machine was perfectly ok but it felt wrong. “I’m..” he muttered out before walking over to ferb and pushing him out of the targeted ground “actually..something..” he proceeded to mumbled looking at the machine.. minutes..it would only take a press of a button to complete the process. But phineas felt lost about this dreading emotion “somethings wrong.” He said Turing his gaze to the rest of his friends. Buford and baljeet looked at each other concerned “just a second ago you were all happy about this” Buford proceeds “suddenly the vibe feels off-“ Buford adds placing baljeet down. Baljeet noted the thick atmosphere.
Phineas shrugged “I’ll just analyze the machine before we shoot ourselves with it . Make sure there’s a chance to turn back y’know?” He said.
Silence felt deafening. But before Isabella could mutter a word out a purple beam hit the machine catching everyone’s attention. The machine shook and let out zaps of electricity “that can’t be good” baljeet proceeded. The machine started breaking down which of course was not expected “I guess we could always make another I mean didn’t take me and ferb that l-“ interrupted by being shot by his own creation. And with of course an initial amount of fear because his machine was now in many random pieces “uh oh-“ he simply let out before shrinking in size.
He was now a perfectly fine marionette done with no way of turning back.

for my mysterios apprentice au. right after uncle ben died.
mentions of death and funerals and mourning.
Quentin finds his heart aching. The Parker family had been so kind to him after he had started letting Peter into his lab. May and Ben had even had him over several times and had been kind enough to include him on holidays when they truly had no need to. He has a lovely pair of mittens from last Christmas that he wears when the weather cools. Peter had been his main connection to the happy family, but Ben and May had accepted him easily as another adult figure in Peter’s life.
Now…
Now Ben Parker is dead. A gunshot from a random robber who had fled the scene. Quentin silently stands beside Peter in the graveyard. The skys are bright and clear, almost a mockery of the sorrow that rests on the shoulders of all those standing around. Peter’s eyes are stained red, but there are no tears today. Instead, the teen looks to be attempting to stand strong for his aunt. Quentin feels so useless in the face of this grief. A soft wind blows as the final rights are read and the coffin is covered.
During the repast at the Parker’s home, Peter vanishes. Quentin goes up to Peter’s room to find the teen frowning down at a notebook, tears falling onto a already dampened page. Quentin knocks on the doorframe and the teen scrubs his face and snaps the the notebook closed.
“Peter-”
Peter looks away. Right. So many well wishes and apologies. The kid must be sick of them. Quentin certainly knows he had grown sick of them each time he had a parent die. He takes a breath.
“Want to make like a tree and get out of here? I have a back to the future movie with your name on it and a piece of coding that has been fighting me for a week.”
He quotes the movie and is rewarded for his efforts with a glance from Peter. The teen hesitates and Quentin breathes.
“Your aunt has a few dozen people to look after her right now. You need to recoup your strength so you can look after her later. Let me look after you today. Okay Peter?”
Peter hesitates, and then seems to come to some sort of decision, hand tightening around the notebook as his eyes grow fierce.
“Okay.”
It is the last word heard from Peter for a while.

Peter works silently in his lab, nary a word crossing his lips. No smiles or laughter either. Quentin feels so lost. He wants to be there for Peter but is not entirely sure how. Things had started vanishing from his work space over the last weak but Quentin does not have the heart to confront his apprentice. What should he do?
Peter communicates through notes, handwriting slightly shaky. But clear. Quentin would prefer to to hear Peter speak. Whistle. Have any sign of happiness.
He had called his own past mentor, seeking ideas, but Phineas had simply told him that time and support are the best he can do. There is not a way for him to replace Ben. Or restore the man to life. Peter just needs someone. But… Quentin feels useless.
Quentin sucks in a breath as Peter leaves that evening, and he notes another bit of scrap gone missing. Alright. This is enough. He has to say something.
Peter comes back the next day and Quentin sits at his work bench.
“Peter… Stuff has started to go missing from my lab. Not anything that I cant live without, but Id like to know that your taking things rather them just disappearing. I dont mind sharing, but I want to know I can trust you with my tools and supplies-”
Peter’s face pales and twists with guilt and the teen looks away as his eyes get teary. Quentin softens his voice and touches Peter’s shoulder.
“You dont have to tell me what your secret project is, but you can’t… locking everyone out isnt healthy Peter. And I want to help you. But I cant if you dont-”
Peter starts to scribble something, frowns, crumples the paper and stands with a rush. He throws his bag back over his head and then is gone. Quentin tries to stop him but the teen shoves him and the strength of the push is a enough of a shock to leave Quentin on the floor. Shakily, the man breathes and straightens himself.
Some how he had messed that up. Darn it! He just… He sighs. And then scoops up the piece of paper. And a few of the newspaper clippings that had fallen from Peter’s bag in the teen’s haste.
‘If thou didst ever thy dear father love … Revenge his foul and most unnatural murder.’
His heart beats a little faster. Oh. How had he not considered this. Peter is looking for revenge. He had not thought the Parker’s the type. His finger tap a unsteady rhythm as he considers the idea. No. Revenge was not like Peter. Nor was killing, which is certainly the end result of a revenge for the death of a love one. He would have hoped Hamlet had taught him… Then again to hear a tale and to live it, are two separate things.
Hamlet had been alone.
Peter would not be.

Peter feels embarrassed by his little storm out. But everything had been so much since Uncle Ben died. He had thought Quentin would not have noticed as he tried to build things up for Spider-man. His little persona that would allow him to get Ben’s killer. It had gotten him into a few scraps with random thugs he thought might be responsible, quickly teaching him that he needed better gear. And some better fighting skills.
But he had not thought…
Now Quentin must hate him too. Another person lost as he tried to put things right. Maybe if he just spoke… but his voice constantly failed him when he tried. Fear, panic, distress, anyone of those labels could almost fit the feeling that snatched his ability to speak.
Peter stands at Quentin’s lab door, twitching slightly. He had to try and explaining himself. He hopes…
He pushes the door open slowy, fingers tightening over his bag strap. Perhaps he could convince Quentin to forgive him. He adjusts his false glasses. His mentor turns as he enters and Peter bends his head slightly. There is not a smile on Quentin’s face like normal. Pain pieces his heart. He is not welcome here?
“Peter. Here.”
Peter quietly takes a binder from the hands of his mentor. He slowly opens it, and is stunned to find that it is full of information about uncle Ben’s murder. Suspects, type of gun used, history of different similar crimes, where the suspects maybe.
His eyes are huge, looking up through unneeded glasses to his mentor’s eyes.
“I used up all the contacts I could. Im not… I’m not the most connected in the underground, but I had a few people who owed me or owed a friend of mine who got stuff from the police department that wasn't released to the media.”
Peter holds it reverently and looks up at Quentin. A whisper slips out, voice working for once.
“Thank- thank you.”
His heart soars for a moment. Quentin smiles and then cups his face gently.
“Just… Peter. Vengengece isnt… you. Justice? That might be more your speed. Just- don't lose that Peter I've come to admire. Okay? Take care of that Peter that your Uncle Ben loved.”
Peter feels tears falling at the reminder of his Uncle. With great power comes great responsibility. He is reminded of the words he had brushed off so casually that night. Peter slowly nods.
He presses closer to his mentor with a soft breath. He would hunt down his uncle’s killer. But he is not so sure he wants to kill them anymore. With these powers he now had and this new information, he is more sure than ever of his success. He could do this.

Okay lets go
So January is new starts and shit thats not something that only we do
February is honestly nothing special. Maybe we make fun of it being short like we do woth our friends but even that isnt very common
Now march, march is where the fun begins. March is when caesar was murdered. We usually have a bunch of phineas and ferb memes. Its also womens month.
In april spiritual people, religious people etc often do what imma simplify to you as „recharge“. Theres also a whole lot of complaints about the weather so theres that.
I honestly dont think may has anything special but i have adhd so i might be forgetting smt major rn lmao
June. Listen, we love june. June is the month of the ✨guh-guh-guh-gaAYS✨. (June is pridemonth)
And in july we complain that companies only use pride month for promo.
August. Im gonna be honest im not really objective on this bc its my birthday in august so thats sortof the only thing august stand for to me lmao. Its summer tho, i can say that

September usually gets roasted for being bisexual(?) in september the most people get cancelled (2024 is an exception prolly)
Oktober is the month of creativity. Its not actually lmao i just said that. Because in October we usually make a bunch of art challanges (or other challanges for each day. And then we put „tober“ at the end and tadaa. Inktober! Costober! Fotober! And all that. That originally began bc well obv october is helloween month right? Right. So they did this thing called spooktober. Which can be each of those, it just has to be scary yk? And because America is weird and they do halloween wrong (/hj) they just don’t always use the spook and instead make whatever tober. (This whole explanation was a joke. Pls dont cancel me) and then theres hell week
Now hold your horses and settle your seatbelts for november cuz dis gon be a hell of a ride. It’s honestly actually not that much. Its just one thing but you’re gonne be a little disturbed after it. So november is NNN which is short for No Nut November. Boys chllange themselves to not masturbate or do anything sexual for that whole month. I have no idea where that came from so dont kick me. Its not my fault. Anyway youre gonna see a whole lot of people setting their profile pictures to eggs. Now ik i said its only one thing but see- it is one thing. The eggs are related to that. A whole egg means they still havent „lost“ nnn. A broken egg signals people in comentsections to pay respect to their fallen brother/the fallen soldier (youre gonna find some of both brother and soldier) also when i said we love the tembers its because some people make variations of this in september oktober and December too. Idek
December is basically just Christmas.

i dont like isabella and phineas as an actual ship but seeing reactions to act your age from people who DO ship phinbella also kind of makes me see how it could make them angry, too. i never even thought about this but isabella doesn't even get to tell phineas herself! it robs her of all of her agency!!!!! FUCK!!!!!
part of act your age i find fascinating is isabella and phineas growing apart and the tragedy of isabella just. giving up. and only then does phineas realize what he's been taking for granted, only then does he think about what she means to him, and only then does he start to actually think about her in the romantic sense. it makes me think about that transition period when isabella was coming over less and less, and phineas was starting to realize he was missing her, and he tries to connect with her one to one and it just isn't working because she's lost all passion and hope. he clearly wasn't there for her when she needed him, but she was ALWAYS there when he so much as hinted at needing help.
she realized she deserved better and was starting to distance herself from something that ended up being CLEARLY unhealthy without phineas paying any attention to how she feels or has been feeling (which is kind of mean to phineas' character too), and then act your age puts them BACK TOGETHER with an empty-feeling promise that this time something will be different when phineas clearly still doesn't fully value her as another fully human equal person. which is bad FOR BOTH OF THEM!!!!!!!!!!!
like. phineas being oblivious to the feelings of the people around him and hurting them without ever noticing it is so perfectly tragic and is such a great setup for some serious growth from him. in the show and even in catu, he only really notices candace's suffering or anxiety when it's being pointed out to him or if it's comically obvious. the only person he can really read is ferb, and even then he's inconsistent about it. everything else just passes him by while he's in his own world and ignoring the real one. THAT'S INTERESTING. and they breezed past it for some half baked sitcom nonsense 😭
plus, isabella GOT OVER her obsession with phineas and realized that she deserved better than to be ignored and not listened to. which is a very "good for her" moment. but then she gets sucked right back in because their friendgroup decided to try and force it (CHARACTER ASSASSINATION FOR EVERYBODY INVOLVED). and phineas ends up making a huge life decision (which college to go to) off of an impulsive same-day relationship that he isn't even sure will work out long-term. they've clearly barely interacted for a long time and there's a lot of tension that WON'T just melt away because of a hallmark movie kiss. hate. hate

Phineas started to laugh out loud as if he heard the most ridiculous joke ever in his entire life before suddenly stop in the middle of it and look at you with annoyance.
“It seem you new around here~ Let me just tell you this… I WAS MURDERED by the most painful way possible!!! Do you even know how painful it is to die in a sauna… I would advice you to go check it out to know what I mean since IS SO PAINFUL!!”

thank you!! <33 i’m kinda bad at studying as well. i always feel like the more i study, the more aware i am of all the things i still don’t know? and that stresses me out! and i get distracted super easily and find it really hard to just sit down and start, but once i’m in the zone i become very productive! :) you’re totally right, you need to take breaks in between study sessions, for me it just kinda feels like i’m wasting precious time? so i have to force myself to get up and walk around for a bit, maybe eat you know? my study method consists of mainly making some handwritten notes (very old school pen on paper kind of notes) and then explaining out loud what all that stuff i just wrote down means…it’s not what all the super productive study people on tiktok tell you to do, but it works for me :) i’ll let you know how my exams go, i’m pretty sure i’ll fail but maybe you having some faith in me will help :) i would absolutely love to do that! for me it feels like i’m in one of those fridge stocking videos, except i’m not stocking a fridge (does that make sense??) i just find it super relaxing! and i love it when you find some old pictures along the way or stuff you were looking for for years. i’ve unlocked so many memories yesterday just by cleaning out two closets, so cool! oh and i will absolutely emotionally support you through getting rid of stuff you think you’ll still need some time in the future but really is just something you should throw away :))

I totally get that. And yeah, it’s definitely stressful. And I think that’s the same for most people, if not everyone. So you’re not alone in that. Studying is helpful, but also so stressful🤦. Also BIG relate to the getting distracted super easily🤣it takes a lot for me to sit down and get on with a task, have to force myself to just start. I usually do the whole lying to myself by saying “do it for 5 minutes” and then once I’m started i get stuck in a bit and end up doing more than 5 minutes🤷. Dont worry about what the tiktok study people are saying works, do what works for you, and if that way of studying works then woooo keep going! Plus, I think that’s a good method anyway🤷. Please do! Even if you do fail, it’s not the end of the world (although it might feel like it), you’ll know what to expect next time and you’ll know where you need to concentrate on next! Failure is not a bad thing, it’s a learning experience. But I have faith in you. Do your best, that’s all anyone can ask of you❤️. Hehe that does make sense! I love those videos. i’m thinking right. that maybe my problem with bnha is that it’s going too fast and is expecting me, the reader, to get attached to all of these background characters and know their names and their powers when they’ve barely been present?
like. dgmw i read a lot of comics and some of them aint good. a lot of them have stilted dialouge or are too fast paced or irrelevant arcs or characters that seem to come out of nowhere and then play a big big big part for seemingly... no reason (see: mindy libris from daredevil LOL). but with bnha... i feeeeeeel kind of like? an outsider?
like im missing a lot of the behind the scenes... struggles that these characters are having. are they failing their classes? are they getting together to hang out on the weekends? like i feel like i dont even know the names of a lot of these kids. who the hell is this guy with his tits out? i dont fucking know. i dont know what his super power. er. quirk. or whatever is. his only defining trait is ? not wearing a shirt ? and the fucking. the dog. my irl called him a pomeranian. bakugou i think. he’s an asshole. people are assholes right. thats what they do. but i feel like... like whenever he’s BEING an asshole its gets stopped before it can become a whole THING.
like. uh. sure. he almost killed the green twink that keeps making me think of phineas from phineas and ferb. but i feel like we didn’t ? see inside his head ? he chatted a bunch. kept saying how fucking. uh. midoriya? was a bitchass loser who shouldnt be there at all. but he’s just repeating taunts .... over and over and over. it’s BORING. i want development. and a different sentence for once.
i feel like i cant get attached to any of these characters cus every time we get close to them actually talking and having conversation with each other and shit. the issue comes to a close and we pick up somewhere else in the next one.
and like. the whole... struggle to get into u.a. that the green one had? it didnt feel real. he did work for it, that much is obvious, but me, the reader, didnt see it happen. i saw him doing shit and all. but only for a few pages and didnt really understand what was going on inside his mind.
and maybe the writer gets better at their job the further along we go. and i just gotta get over the hump. but man im only here for the eye candy tbh LOL. and im starting to think so is ... everyone else ? like
its not substantial writing. it’s... mid. subpar even. with the comics im usually reading. a lot of. of cosmic marvel and street level ny vigilantes. which are both kindaaa shit. but those people have bonds. and stuff that makes them work together. and its probably cause the comics im reading have... developed characters that have been around since. fuck. the first nova comic was published back in the 1970s? these characters have had TIME to develop and create bonds and for the many writers to go “hm. we’re doing this now. and its going to be good” and have teams and shit. but with bnha. especially how. how early i am in the series. it hasn’t had that yet?
but its not... making the EFFORT to... create those bonds that are. that are tangible to the reader? these characters barely chat with each other, and if youre not the green one or the pomeranian the token chick or mr. richboy... then you’re JUST getting drawn in the panels to fill space? idk. maybe its gets better as the series progresses. i kinda doubt it.

Y’know…this video is really depressing. Over half of it is spent on isabella’s infatuation phineas and EXTREMELY little is learnt about her as a character beyond that which…really speaks volumes about how isabella was treated by the show. Like, im pretty sure we learnt more about baljeet in gimme a grade alone than in ANY of isabellas songs and she had way more solos than him and is a more relevant character in general. Its just depressing, man that even as a kid i could tell isabella was only added to be the token girl and the writers didnt really care about her much

something that always strikes me about phineas and ferb is just how expressive the characters are through their facial expressions and body language??? like ESPECIALLY perry bc he literally doesnt talk but he doesnt NEED to bc he has such a dynamic prescence with his body language alone and even just his eyes can convey such obvious and Known emotion. like i just love what they did with the art style, like phineas doesnt even have eyebrows unless theyre added to his face for emphasis and he still manages to have such a wide range of expressiveness idk!!!

Ok but like just imagine Damian getting into animation, like that would be so cool.
When he's first exposed to animation, its through cartoons and he's not at all that impressed yknow? "This looks childish" "Uh.. " "Think your next words carefully if you plan on keeping your fingers intact"
Even later on, he's still not that into it despite the many attempts from his siblings and friends. "C'mon D! Phineas and Ferb is basically a right of passage for kids" "I have no interest in watching a show about anthropomorphic polygons, also dont call me a kid " "My bad, I meant angsty emo teenager."
As a last resort, they blackmail convince him to give Avatar the Last Airbender a try. " If you dont like this, you really are the spawn of Satan"
And obviously, he does like it (not out loud though). While he admits the story is adequate what really gripped him was the animation because he hadn't realised that you could draw movement like fighting so beautifully and fluid like that.
That's probably when he starts gaining interest in animation as a medium. He's still not into western cartoons that much but starts delving more into anime. ( Jon is thrilled when he finds out Damian got into Naruto, he totally drags him into conventions and makes him join in on cosplays cuz "You literally wear a bird costume every night, how is this any different?")
But again, he's less invested in the story or plot and more interested in the animation, which is when he decides that this is a skill that he wants to develop himself.
Turns out, animating is hard, especially when you're a perfectionist like Damian who literally has no chill whatsoever. (Cue Bruce peeking worriedly into Damian's room where he's been cursing and snarling for hours, surrounded by crumpled peices of paper thrown haphazardly on the ground)
Because Damian mostly draws portraits and realism, which usually takes a long while for him to draw because he's so focused on all the tiny details. This does not translate well into animation as he figures out the hard way.
So he learns to simplify his drawings to a very basic shapes, (They are not cartoons though) and learns more quicker. He practises the basics and foundations. It's not easy work, and quite tedious but he finds himself enjoying it all the same.
Now just imagine him animating Titus, like making him roll around or playing, he captures the movement down to the last detail. He would definitely love trying to capture the movement of all his pets.
Also, Damian MAKING FLIPBOOKS is something I really really need. And ofc it's all about his family doing stupid things. " I dont know whether to be impressed or offended by the fact that you made an entire flipbook of Red Robin crashing into a wall" "Tt, you should be grateful I even bothered." "Gee, thanks gremlin"
He gives them out as gifts only to the people he's closest to though. In the family, getting a flipbook from him is sorta like a personal accomplishment.
Just.. Damian as an animator. The concept.

Yes. I am talking about Scrooge McDuck, specifically his interpretation in Ducktales 2017. Now, to preface this a little bit, every time I try to express my opinion on Scrooge, it gets me hounded. So even right now I’m a little hesitant to post this, but since DT17 is ending after this season, I might as well get this out of my system.
The Ducktales fandom, at least a large portion of it HATE Scrooge. Season 1 was great. It had so much mystery in it. But once the mystery was unraveled, people decided that they HATED Scrooge. Yes. He did something wrong, but it’s like the entire fandom did a 180 and totally turned their back on him. Now during seasons 2 & 3, people will find any reason at all to hate on Scrooge, even when he does things IN CHARACTER
I’ve always loved Scrooge, ever since I watched MCC and the original DT as a kid. He always made me smile because I knew, deep underneath his grouchy exterior, there was a duck who LOVED his family. And the new Scrooge is the same. However, a majority of the fandom treats him terribly. Every time Scrooge messes up, they attack him.
Every time I tried to write about Scrooge and his feelings, I got attacked for it. I didn’t like how Goldie treated him in the new series, I got attacked for it. I felt bad that he was ABANDONED for ten years by his family, I was told he deserved it because of what he built for Della when she was also in the wrong. I was told I was excusing his mean actions when I never said stuff like that. Every time I tried to write something for him, I got paragraph after paragraph about how Scrooge is a terrible character & the reason for every (in-universe) problem in the show.
I got so tired that my last post in this fandom was FROM NOVEMBER OF LAST YEAR. I made this post, and got SWARMED. I’ve honestly unfollowed so many DT17 blogs because I honestly couldn’t take people telling me that Scrooge was a bad person.
THIS IS WHERE THE ACTUAL SMART TALKING STARTS
Here’s the thing (and thank you for reading this far). Scrooge has always been mean, greedy, and selfish. That’s his character. It’s always been his character since he first appeared in comics. But with Ducktales 2017, people expect Scrooge to not be mean anymore. Scrooge is greedy / mean / selfish, he learns his lesson, apologizes, and life goes on. Modern cartoons make people expect that he will develop from this, and that this behavior will never happen again.
But that’s not realistic.
We are flawed. I snap because I’m mad, I know it’s wrong. I apologize. But because of natural, human anger, I will snap again. I won’t just stop being mad magically. I will have bad days and good days. And so will Scrooge. The important thing is that Scrooge APOLOGIZES. He recognizes how much his actions affect his kids & he says he’s sorry
In a very recent episode, an adventure goes wrong & Scrooge assume he needs to make a new team to get it right. This makes Huey Dewey Louie & Webby feel like Scrooge is replacing them. Scrooge has been shown several times throughout the series to be REALLY BAD AT PICKING UP SOCIAL QUEUES. He doesn’t understand peoples feelings (probably from years of shutting down his own). He doesn’t realize until Della points it out to him. He tells the children he’s sorry, and that he never meant to hurt their feelings, and in disney cartoon fashion, the conflict wraps up in a pretty bow. I thought it was a great episode.
However. People here said “please realize he never would’ve apologized if Della hadn’t told him to.” ???? ARE YOU??? KIDDING ME??? We know he’s bad at recognizing feelings. How else was he supposed to know? He needs to be told bluntly or else he won’t know.
Yes. He was mean / selfish / greedy, but that is his CHARACTER. As soon as he realizes he’s being terrible. He apologizes.
Ofc this worked better when the show was formulaic instead of episodic, i.e. “something happens, Scrooge does/says a bad thing, Scrooge learns he was wrong & walks away with a lesson”
But modern, episodic cartoons have people thinking, “this character learned their lesson, they will never do anything bad ever again, and if they slip up, they’re terrible” and that’s a very bad mentality to bring into the real world.
Scrooge is flawed. Scrooge has CHARACTER. Scrooge is mean, but he is also kind and warm and loving. He cares so much about his family and has shown so many times that they mean more to him than anything in the whole world. God forbid he be flawed. God forbid he be imperfect. God forbid he messes up sometimes.
Scrooge isn’t like Luz, or Stanley, or Mickey Mouse, or Phineas, or any other Disney TVA protagonist. He has depth and flaws and he’s amazing because of it. I just wish everyone else could see that flaws don’t make a character irredeemable. Even if they make the same mistake 50 times THEY CAN STILL BE ENJOYABLE.
Once again, Ducktales Fandom. You’ve burned me before and I honestly don’t have the energy for you to tell me how my opinion on Scrooge McDuck is flawed. Do not add onto this post and tell me he’s a bad person. Do not tell me he’s the cause for every problem the Duck family faces. I ALREADY KNOW HOW YOU FEEL ABOUT HIM SO PLEASE DONT SHOVE IT IN MY FACE ANYMORE. I honestly do not think I can take it at this point.
I was 17 when I first started this show. I’m 20 now. And I’m over being told how terrible my opinions are.

Okay so I've had this in my drafts for a couple weeks now, and I'm honestly not gonna finish it anytime soon. So here's the "Tangled: Happily Ever After Phineas and Ferb Edition AU" literally nobody asked for. has this already been done? i honestly dont even know please for the love of god if anyones already done this tell me so i can look at your art/fanfic dont play with me
I'm not caught up on the series, but I've been listening to the soundtrack constantly. I kinda know what's going on because of spoilers though, so I'm not completely in the dark!
While I was sketching this out, I kept trying to draw Phineas with long flow-y hair, but that looks way to stupid. So in this AU, roles and powers between characters are switched up.
Phineas: Prince of Danville; Heir to the throne. Phineas is hidden away, in a far way tower by his mother after his Father the King is assassinated. Linda remarries to Lawrence shortly after, attempting to draw attention away from the missing Prince. When Phineas manages to escape his tower, he's excited to see the world, and everything it has to offer.
Ferb: Adopted Brother, considered a Duke. Lawrence is still considered a Prince in his Kingdom, his older brother is the King. So Ferb's chances of ever becoming a king are next to none. Ferb spends his entire life being raised as a Prince and acting like one, but constantly being reminded that he will never be King.
Phineas and Ferb's relationship is exactly like Rupunzel and Cassandra's. From acquaintances-to-friends-to-brothers-to-enemies-to??
Candace: Princess of Danville; She knew that Phineas was alive, but she never knew where. Because of this she spent most of her childhood resenting Linda for never telling her, then trying to distract her with a new "fake" brother and father. Candace has some mommy issues guys. Candace also isn't helpless, I'm honestly gonna give her the role of Maximus/Cassandra. Which is confusing I know, but I mean that she'll be constantly trying to prove her worth towards her mother and show that everyone can take her seriously(Cassandra role in earlier season). While also trying to take down or "bust" criminals(Maximus throughout the movie.)
Isabella: Isabella has Rupunzel's powers! So she has the long hair and healing powers. But instead of being raised in a tower hidden from everyone, she grows up around thieves, like Eugene. The queen (Linda) never gets sick while pregnant, so there is never a kingdom wide hunt for the flower. Instead Isabella's mother (Vivan), who in this AU is a pirate, gets sick. Her crew finds her the flower and gives it to her while she's pregnant with Isabella. Isabella's in the middle of running from Canadace and the palace guards after stealing the crown, when she finds Phineas' tower.
This isn't fully thought out, so there are gonna be a million plot holes. I just wanted to draw some angst y Phineas and Ferb brotherly conflict and now I've gone an started a second AU when the first hasn't even been touched since.
I wanna give out roles to Buford and Baljeet, but I've gotta catch up on the series before I do that lol.
