#I’m not really active in the community anymore but more because I grew away from it#I think about coming back a lot but Im not really sure what id do lol. i appreciate your kind words, thank you. however, while i'm sure you had the best intention with this, i don't think i will 'say less'. this is my blog, my space, and as long as i'm not actually causing harm to anyone or anything along that line, i think i'm allowed to have some degree of freedom regarding saying what i like/dislike and setting my boundaries. i'm sorry, but i'm not an influencer, nor a public figure who has the responsibility to spread positivity and be a role model to you all. i try as much as i can, of course, but that's not the purpose of this blog. i'm just a human being who needed an outlet for writing and wanted to connect with like-minded people.
what part was not 'right'? that i expressed, in my own blog, how i didn't want to try out a game because one of the reasons is i find the graphics of the fictional characters off-putting, when asked? that i likened a fictional game art style to a different franchise and objects you see all the time in adult site ads? that i never said anything about the people who do like the game and told them "i'm happy you found a game you like"? that i never, not even once, went to other people's posts or blog who posted that game's content to ruin their fun like a bastard? that i actively chose to use tumblr's filter instead? that even if the filter didn't work, i chose to scroll and ignore instead of bitching about it?
pray tell, what did i do wrong? why should i say less? since when am i not allowed to dislike things?
and a public psa ー i'm sorry, but bluntly speaking, if you take an affront when I expressed MY own opinion, WHEN PROMPTED, WITHIN MY OWN SPACE (and god forbid you retaliate like that anon(s?) by spamming me to shut the fuck up and kill myself), then that's really not my problem. it's an art direction, for god's sake. i adore zhongli, who gets memed and made fun of as a cockroach all the time; you don't see me screaming at people to stop.

Content: angst, some references to Emerie being trapped in her occupation under Hemlock + having to kill clones in the past, slight yandere, no real happy ending here; drabble
Emerie knows exactly what happens when a clone negates the code of conduct it is meant to operate within. She's seen it happen before, she's been the hand to deliver the final blow to a vod on more than one occasion.
And yet she allows herself the joy of the fall.
She wakes up every morning to go about her work - studying, experimenting, working working working until her heart gives out and her compassion runs dry. She works to break Crosshair until he begs, to twist Omega's tiny little heart into something more malleable, and all the while she falls, she runs, always into you. She falls more in love with you every day, falls that much further from the grace of Hemlock's mercy, falls further and further from the purpose she was born into.
But how could she not? You protect the child so fiercely, as if Omega were of your own flesh and blood, cradling the girl to your breast to protect her, placing your body before hers in a futile attempt to protect her, delay whatever horrible inevitability you fear awaits her beyond the walls of your holding cell. Emerie has seen you spit and swear and take beating after beating in Omega's name. Even Crosshair, who has betrayed you and the rest of his batch more times than can be counted, has become a recipient of your dedication. How could she not love you?
There is no room for such things in the realm of Hemlock's science. The chambers of his heart are empty save for his love of knowledge. It's an incessant lust that boils beneath his scalp, a desire to know, to study, to understand, no matter the cost. It is the only kindness she has ever known, and it is colder than the vast emptiness of space.
Not like you. You are everything alive and warm, vibrant, passionate. You are bold and strong, resilient, kind. Human.
She wishes she could be like you. She wishes she could have you, have this one thing for herself in the darkness of the Empire's looming shadow. How she would treasure you, hide you away where the cold could never reach you and the pain would never lick at your bones. Hemlock would never need to know.
But clones cannot afford secrets, not when their price is too high to pay. And so she watches, for it's all she can do. She falls in love, falls from grace, falls and falls until all that's left to do is let her broken body shatter on the duracrete of Hemlock's laboratory floor. She prays you'll be there to pick up the pieces.

most of my thoughts come from this lil snippet and my tags.
my thoughts on fem!jaytim can be boiled down to this line: “Her successor fascinates her. She kind of wants to let him dissect her, little freak that he is.”
like tim is a freak who would absolutely want to dissect and take jaye apart piece by piece just to get to the bottom of whatever the hell is wrong with her (obsessive) and jaye would let him bc she wants to know what the hell is wrong with him (affectionate).
It’s almost a scientist and their never-ending experiment, but not quite?
like the dissection, its the act, the intimacy, the trust in being vulnerable and completely open on the table for them to see, a show and a sight but not a performance, it's the ‘i’m going to take you apart piece by piece, not to fix you or change you, but just to understand you’, and 'i’m going to get my hands dirty and dig into you, and it can be voluntarily or not, it can be with anesthesia or nothing but im going to know you whether you like it or not,' paired with 'you are going to have to cut me open to get to know me, it has to be cold and violent, it has to be artful and methodological.'
but jaye started off with ‘i want to destroy you, take you to the brink, the edge of despair and fury and hatred and let you go without any catharsis,’ kind of like capturing a wild animal, testing on it, and then releasing it back into the wild with a tag to see what it will do after being changed (will it return back to it’s normal routine or will it come back for more?)
and then tim kept coming back. and that's when jaye is like alright yeah, i'll let you rip me open and give me a name (or maybe give me back my name?) and tim does, and he does it carefully, adoringly, obsessively.
and i think tim’s obsessive focus, paired with the idea of the knife/scalpel = love, is what jaye would respond to best. she was raised in violence, and probably thinks that fighting and pain is caring and love, AND she’s never been a priority in anyone’s life. so for tim to obsess and know her in ways that no one else has before (or have even bothered) is captivating, exciting, and absolutely mind-boggling, and i think jaye would get possessive, like ‘this robin, this little freak is mine.'

Do you ever feel like you run out of qsmp content to consume on tumblr because of the blocked tags?
^ not at all a criticism of blocking tags, I do it liberally lol, just curious because it happens to me sometimes
not really; part of the reason why i have to block so many tags is because i follow so many people in order to see a lot of qsmp stuff. because i like keeping up to date with as many characters as possible i like to see a lot of stuff, but that also means seeing shit i don't want to see or seeing incredibly stupid & biased takes from people who only main one POV (at which point i usually just block and move on with my life; if you can't step outside your characters pov for single second, you're not working with this medium right).
i DO have issues with not seeing enough about roier and cellbit on my dash honestly-- i hear every detail about tubbo and bad and foolish's streams, but whenever i miss a cellbit stream i know ill have to watch it back myself because people won't have said what happened because there's such fewer cellbit fans on here, and same goes for roier. although there's definitely more spanish speakers on here than brazilians so i do get some of what happens on his streams. in general, though, there are like three people on here who care about cellbit enough to post about him and im one of them so :/ i need to up the propaganda or something i feel like im going insane
there's also far less fanart on here than there is for other mcyt fandoms, which is sad, so i do often find myself combing through every character's tag hoping to find new art but ive already found it all. this isn't a criticism of fanartists, qsmp just isn't as popular on here and that's reflected in the amount of art.
anyway i don't really have a hard time finding content about most characters but there's a few where it is a struggle, though not because of blocking tags. and the reason i block so many tags is because i just do not share the same taste in other media as the people i follow, so i pretty much have to block whatever other stuff they post about or ill want to scream. and bc i have every variation of cc & q neg blocked along with usual tws.
i suppose because of how many people i have blocked im probably missing some qsmp content, but i have people blocked because they're awful and post misinfo or are just annoying so like. im not gonna unblock them just to see bad analyses of bad or cellbit or tubbo on my dash. i have a few things that earn an instant block from me, and misinfo is a big one, along with just being mean as hell or bigoted in some way. idk im very particular about cultivating my dash and although im frustrated often, that's more due to the state of fandom & online culture in general at the moment (bad) than all that specific to this fandom.

Seeing your posts about the article and the mdzs “mysteries of parenting” just makes me remember that it was pitched to me as “a show about two gay dads raising their son” and that was like… one scene where LWJ visits the Burial Mounds. People really will come up with the wildest descriptions.
