I think people don't talk about this enough and it was, and still is, absolutely crucial to my transition.

Planned Parenthood offers Informed Consent HRT and virtual appointments.

What does this mean and why was it so crucial to your transition?

Informed consent means your provider does not require you to jump through any hoops, such as x amount of months of therapy, prior to receiving hormones. Instead, they inform you of the effects and have you sign a form that states that you are informed and understand the effects of hormone replacement therapy. This was so important to me because I live in a rural area where getting quality, non-queerphobic therapy is incredibly difficult. I was prescribed hormones on my very first visit.

Virtual visits means you can simply schedule an online video chat with a Planned Parenthood provider. Your first visit will have to be in person since you do have to sign the forms, but subsequent visits can be online. This is so important because not all Planned Parenthoods offer HRT (because they lack someone trained to do so) so folks who have to drive an hour (or more!) like me, no longer have to do so except for that first appointment. I don't even have a labcorp location near me, I have the lab request sent to my email and I bring it to my local doctors office and they fax the results to PP. Having to visit PP in-person isn't as bad after your first year since you don't need as many appointments. I'm to the point where my hormone levels and overall satisfaction with the effects means I have an appointment once a year and get my blood drawn every 6 months and I just send in refill requests when needed, but the amount of appointments you need and distance can put off alot of people who desire hormones.

I just wanted to make another (I believe I have made a post about this before) post about this because I know there are folks who aren't aware of this and it could help someone.

i've been on tumblr long enough to know about basic etiquette but i literally only post for myself, i kinda use my blog as an archive to find stuff i've reblogged. this is the only platform in which i properly tag my works, because tags are functional and i get happy when people find the stuff they're looking for, but i genuinely don't care about likes or reblogs. in fact, i get easily overwhelmed by social interactions and i've disabled comments almost everywhere + don't usually look at my notifs tab.

Zionist concern anon again. Thank you for saying I'm not a zionist. It's been a concern for a while, since a while back i saw people calling two-state solution supporters zionists and at the time i wasn't fully in support of a two-state solution but also I wasn't comfortable with "lets get rid of Isreal completely". I thought that the two-state solution was what we were supposed to have in the early days after October 7 because thats what I saw other people who were against the genocide say. So ever since I've been scared to say I'm pro-palestine in case I wasn't actually truly pro-palestine even though I want to be pro-palestine. I just don't feel confident enough in my political knowledge in general much less this specific issue to have a stance on what to do about the land, even though I have learned since I first saw people calling two-state solution zionist how much land has actually been stolen (I knew Isreal had stolen at least some land but I hadn't been certain how much) and before that have been horrified by the genocide and wanting at the very least a ceasefire and for no more land to be stolen. I feel thrown headfirst into all this and while this genocide is not at all about me as a white person living in a different country I'd be lying if I said I wasn't really struggling with the stress of having all the right stances (as I said, I have very debilitating mental health issues that cause moral issues to be really hard for me to navigate with all the fear of needing to be perfectly moral). I'm aware thats very privileged and self-centered of me to say, but its honestly how I feel. I definitely need to get it together and figure out where I need to stand though, its bad enough its taken this long and I do not want to be complicit in a genocide any longer than I have been. Thats probably about as much as I can say before I make this way too much about me me me, if I haven't overstepped as is. You being understanding and kind in your answers is very much appreciated, but it is on me from now on to pull it together already

some people (including myself) dont like two state solutions because it implies that 1) israel has a right to exist which it doesn't and 2) it just doesnt make sense logically and historically, because theres no way the state of israel would ever allow that and settlers would ever be ok with that.

i have seen people who say "im for a free palestine" and still advocate for israel to exist which is like not what free palestine is as a concept lol for the most part.

but yeah, i can understand wanting to have the stance that doesn't harm the oppressed. my general advice is to just listen to what they have to say and study for yourself independently so that you can understand exactly what they're saying.

Here some random headcanons with Alesia and Isaac as partner/spouse/parent. Have a good day too! 🫰

Alesia:

Alesia is still responsible for the defense of Castle Village, so even though she lives in the Valley, she keeps in touch with her coworkers.

Not an ardent PDA fan, at most Alesia can be expected to kiss on the cheek in public. When she and Farmer are alone, she will show her tenderness: hugs, kisses, and maybe something else 👀

Loves to give and receive practical things to help in adventures: daggers, amulets, elixirs, artifacts. Also has a collection of rare daggers, so if the Farmer has a nice dagger lying around, found in adventures, it would make a great gift for Alesia.

A loving and moderately strict mother. Will always listen to her children, help them and protect them to the last, but will not spoil them much.

Can be a bit of a overprotective wife and mom, so let Farmer not be surprised that Alesia can break a stranger's nose because he said something bad about Farmer or their children. As it is, she's pretty peaceful.

Even if her and Farmer's kids don't want to become adventurers, the sniper still thinks that giving them a couple of self-defense lessons wouldn't hurt.

In the spouse area, she will set up a stand with her bows and a target, practicing archery in her spare time.

She will find common ground with the residents of Pelican Town very quickly. Her first friends are Robin and Leah.

Every Sunday she goes to Pierre's store to pray at Yoba's altar. Later Andy became her friend after constant meetings.

Her trust is very easy to lose, so Farmer should not deceive her. Never. For their own good.

Even if they are thinking of ending the relationship, let them say it straight, and they will separate like adults. Alesia will not tolerate deceit, and Farmer will regret it bitterly if they decide to cheat her.

Isaac:

With a partner like Isaac, Farmers get the scary dog privileges, whether they realize it or not.

Don't count on PDA, Isaac still can't get used to the idea of having a date. So it can be a bit much for him.

Even when Isaac is alone with Farmer, he may seem cold and closed off. But he's not the heartless, and willing to go down to hell for Farmer.

Farmer is honored to see Isaac's sword collection.

Sometimes Isaac needs time alone, and he's glad when Farmer understands him half-heartedly and gives him some space.

Without noticing it himself, Isaac began to flex in front of his beloved. A friendly fight with another adventurer was an opportunity for Isaac to show off all his skills as a fighter to Farmer.

Can be a rather jealous boyfriend (especially if Lance is hanging around somewhere). Even after marrying Farmer, may not stop being jealous. Apparently, the idea that he's not good enough for Farmer still haunts him.

Not the most affectionate spouse, but he tries hard, is pretty careful and gentle partner.

Only Farmer can catch the rarest phenomenon in the world, a smiling Isaac.

Strangely enough, he was the first to talk about children, and he has taken to preparing for the arrival of a new member of the family with all responsibility. A very gentle and careful father.

I post about whatever cartoon is tickling my brain at the moment, and I flit between hyperfixations like I’m playing duck-duck-goose. Ed Edd n Eddy is the only fandom I have major projects in, but I partake in a lot of other fandoms too. So just know, if you follow me for one fandom, it’s bound to change.

I ramble a lot. I tend to voice my thoughts out loud randomly into the void that is tumblr just because I like to talk to whoever may be listening. I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea and I want to do my best to make this blog enjoyable for all kinds of people.

I am sure this is a categorically terrible idea, but I am too squirrel-brained to pick a writing project to work on, but also I'm tired of not writing and additionally, I am puffed up on my own hubris from hitting 1M words on AO3, so let's gooooooooo!

Here are some tips:

I do have anon asks on, but if you log in, it means I can ask questions if I need to, plus it makes me feel like we’re friends when I get a name with the request.

Ideally my short fiction comes out between 1k and 2k, so we’re usually talking just a scene or two. I am notoriously bad at sticking to this.

You can see all my previous short fiction here. (Each yearly volume has a table of contents in the first chapter). Try not to request things that I’ve done before, unless it’s explicitly a continuation. Alternatively, you can check out some of my previous request tags like 500 Follower Drabble Weekend or What If Requests

You can request extra scenes from my existing fanfics.

The best requests are specific enough to be inspirational, but not so overconstrained that you’ve basically written the whole thing yourself. Specifying a set of characters is okay, but it’s better if you add a setting or a scenario or a mood. Think about what the description would be if you had to post it to ao3 yourself.

If you read my blog and/or my fanfic, you will probably get a good idea of which characters I love and the kinds of things that delight me and the things that do not. I primarily do these requests for the benefit of my regular readers, so if this process is biased towards them, that is by design.

Here's a list of stuff I am probably going to say no to. If you feel like you know me really well and have a killer idea that you think I'll love, go ahead and hit me with it, but otherwise, please don't.

The only Byakuya ship I will write is Byahisa. Friendships and other kinds of non-romantic relationships are always welcome!

Hi and Welcome to my page! I hope you enjoy your stay here! I apologize for any inconsistent uploads, I try to keep enough posts queued to ensure this doesn’t happen. Queued posts will post every 6 hours at 6am, 12pm, and 6pm EST. I upload one day a week, typically on Sundays. I do have work and other things to balance in my life outside of Tumblr so I don't often have a lot of time to write things to post, but I do hope that you enjoy everything I have posted so far though! I've decided to run this celebration by birthday candle rules, and by that I mean y'all are getting two different sharing challenges and a QnA to grow on.

Now, if you saw my previous post about this, you probably know that I've got finals approaching (also holiday plans), so I've decided to postpone my engagement with the celebration until January 7th-ish. Technically, that means the 7th will be the "official" start of the challenges and such, but nothing is stopping you from starting "early" or "late" if that's your vibe. After the "official" start, it'll be 2 straight weeks of me violently reblogging challenge posts and answering QnA questions. The ask box, however, will only be open during that 2-week period, and after that it'll be back to our regularly scheduled non-submission period for inbox clearing.

So, without further ado, here's the plan:

IQG Inspo Challenge!

Inspiration has always been at the heart of the IQG. Originally, I made it to help prompt some funny scenes between OCs of mine and my friends, and, now that it's gotten more popular, I've always loved seeing what comics, fanfics, videos, and other artistic endeavours it's inspired in other people.

To participate in the IQG Inspo Challenge, try to find a new quote you like in the generator every day for 2 weeks and make something creative out of it. Make it big or small, make it in any medium, "miss" however many days you like: as long as you enjoy it, you're carrying the spirit of the challenge.

If you share your IQG Inspo creations, tag them #IQG Inspo! I'll be browsing the tag on tumblr and reblogging what I can during the challenge (and even if your post doesn't get reblogged, it'll still be cool to see a gallery of all the neat stuff people have made).

Program and Play Challenge!

To join the Program and Play challenge, all you have to do is share a project you've programmed under the tag #Program and Play. It doesn't matter if it's a WIP or had long since been finished, it doesn't matter if you're new to programming or a professional in the field. As long as it's an original project you've programmed and enjoyed, it's perfect for the challenge.

Now, you might be asking "what does this have to do with the IQG" and the answer is not much, really. Programming is just something I really enjoy and I want to encourage others interested in it by boosting their projects up. I'll be browsing this challenge's tag and reblogging what I can (as with the IQG Inspo challenge, anything you don't want me to reblog can be tagged #do not quote).

If you're new to programming and don't know where to start, then there's lots of programming sites out there with support for beginners such as Scratch, Neocities, and, of course, Perchance. The best way to learn programming is just to dive into it. Don't be afraid to ask questions, google answers, and try new things (worst comes to worst, Stack Overflow hasn't failed me yet).

Remember, very few people enter hobbies with a talent for them. It's those who spend time learning and exploring skills that are the most masterful of them.

And, last but not least, QnA!

As I said, the askbox opens on January 7th and closes after two weeks (January 21st) with anon questions active. You might notice I didn't put any specific timezones on this. That's because it's gonna be a bit wibbly wobbly as far as timing goes, but I'll be giving y'all an announcement post once I open it, and a last minute call an hour or so before I close it.

During this period, the askbox will only by open for questions and non-management related things. Any bug reports or submissions sent at this time will not be acknowledged since I'm still clearing out the current 1,964 items in the inbox.

In honor of Tumblr's long history of ridiculous asks, I'm not gonna put any limits onto the questions y'all can ask unless I have to. You can ask about the code, you can ask about me, you can ask about completely unrelated bullshit that you find funny, I don't really mind. However, know that this is all up to my own discretion. I might not take your question seriously. I might not answer it at all. It's (probably) nothing personal (unless you actively tried to send hate speech or something of the like).

I think it's important for people to feel heard and recieve explanations for why certain decisions are made, so I will answer most questions about the chat deletion if you ask them, but they will be tagged under #IQG chat so people who want to stick to the more cheery bits of the QnA can filter it out. i got this question from a few people so here y'all go!! (and here's the original ask)

as always, if you DO NOT want spoilers about atfhv and have not yet filtered the #atfhv spoilers tag, do that now!!

much of my thinking about hufflepuff in this universe is that, like...... hufflepuff is SO underutilized. jkr's personal beliefs about valuable traits really bleed through in how she a) defines and b) treats the different houses, and i find canon hufflepuff to be such a bland treatment of what it means to actually take a bunch of people whose main character trait, as defined by jkr, is not being unafraid of a hell of a lot of hard work, and putting them in a room together and saying 'okay, your house was founded on the principle that nobody should be denied an education based on an outsider's opinion of their merit. the other three houses at this school take pride in their Qualities and think of you as kind of the catch-all house for people who don't fit anywhere else. now what are you going to do about it'

i also think of hufflepuff as being a house that does value tradition - they're the counterbalance to ravenclaw, and eminently practical, in a 'this works, so i'm going to buckle down and get it done while you're busy fantasizing about a better way to do it' way. they've never cared much for sweeping changes being imposed on them by others, especially when those changes don't seem particularly useful, or when they seem like fruitless (or actively impedimental) lip service to an agenda

and, perhaps most importantly, they are realistic. they firmly believe that you have to accept what reality is (in the sense of not being in denial about The Real State Of Things, not in the sense of *approving* of it), and then you can actually get things done. if you're in denial, pretending things aren't the way they are, you're going to waste time and effort on not getting anywhere at all.

like, here's an example: if you're taking ALL the students who aren't deemed 'worthy' of the other houses, you're going to have to teach them. anything else is a violation of your house's founding principle. and you can't teach every student exactly the same way and expect them all to succeed. you have to accept that different students learn differently and struggle with different things, and some of them will need more help than others, and some of them are going to struggle a lot in a traditional academic setting, and it would be really, really difficult to change the way hogwarts teaches when you'd be likely to get resistance from the (very conservative-minded) board of trustees, the ministry, people who are worried about standardized test scores, etc.

you have to accept that reality before you can go 'okay, so, how do we make sure these students succeed anyway?' otherwise, you're just wasting your time on something futile and not getting any results.

what does all of that mean?

it means hufflepuff has a thriving tradition of studying dark arts, and bringing new people into their group, that has lasted as long as slytherin's has. like, why would they throw that out the window just because the ministry told them to? this shit is powerful magic. it's useful, too. they're not just going to stop because it scares the muggles - they're always going to scare the muggles, it's part of having magic. might as well just accept reality and get on with your life

'but wait!' you say. 'why doesn't regulus know about this, if this tradition has really been going on for so long?'

to which i say: because hufflepuffs are great at accepting reality. the slytherin dark arts study group is an open secret. they don't face consequences because people either dismiss it as superstition or know that there's no way they'd be able to make anything stick, what with slytherin's very deep ties to the wizengamot (and the government in general). hufflepuff does not have the advantage of a dark, creepy aesthetic and an immediate connotation of shitloads of money and political power. plenty of people think that lots of hufflepuffs probably aren't very bright since they got put into the Everyone Else house. even their slytherin counterparts might be skeptical about hufflepuff's ability to keep this a secret - after all, they weren't put in the cunning house, were they?

so hufflepuff uses the slytherin group as cover - or rather, the rumors about the slytherin group. who on earth would look at *hufflepuff* for evidence of dark arts, especially when slytherin is right next to them being all cunning and ambitious?

and, unfortunately, this means that they have to keep the existence of their study group VERY much on the DL. the stakes of people suspecting them are a lot higher, since they don't have the same smokescreen that slytherin does. they can use slytherin as a shield, but there's a limit to how useful that shield will be

the hufflepuff study group tends to be smaller than the slytherin study group. they are also more likely to bring in people who weren't raised in the dark network, because continuity is important to them and they want to keep this group going, even though hufflepuff tends to get fewer dark scions than slytherin does. that being said, the love of tradition and pressing need for secrecy is a double-edged sword - there are blood purists in hufflepuff, they're just polite about it. and a lot of those purists can be found in the dark arts study group, politely Not discussing politics with each other since arnold macmillan is like, right there, and he's a *macmillan*, and all of that

blood purity in hufflepuff is less about magical capability and more about safety from muggles, which is why it flies under the radar in comparison to slytherin

but they're often not big voldemort fans. bc like, wtf is he doing.

and, similar to ravenclaw, there's a range of opinions re: dumbledore, generally highly correlated with their ties to the dark network or lack thereof

and this will all become important very, VERY soon.

About my Writing

I write fanfiction for Seventeen. Currently I only have one ongoing series- the Regency!AU series which you can find here. Once that is done, I will probably start a new series.

General things to note:

I do not write smut. I also do not reblog smut. I write romance, but its mostly PG13. However, there may be heavy or serious topics discussed and referenced in my stories. If anything is remotely unsuitable for minors, it will be mentioned in the initial warning section of the post. Please exercise discretion.

I do not have an update schedule or a taglist. I'm very sorry about this- but I write only as a hobby and have a full time job that supports my life so I can't really spare too much time on administrative blog stuff or queueing things. I write when I can, and post when I can.

I am not currently taking requests. If I do decide to open/take requests I will make sure it is announced in advance and made very clear on my blog via pinned post.

I do not write idol!AUs or anything which indicates I am writing about the Seventeen members' real lives. The idols are merely inspiration for the stories I write. For that reason, my stories are set exclusively in fantasy/far-from-reality AUs. Nothing here is remotely meant to resemble any aspect of reality.

I remember how angry I felt for you during that whole homophobic tag debacle as well and just wanna say that it really means a lot to see there are Christians who are as kind and loving and open-hearted as you out there! (And please don’t take this as an attack on Christianity at all – I’m not trying to denigrate your faith in any way, just sending you some appreciation!) sorry ik this is quite a personal thing to send especially on anon, I hope I’m not overstepping I just think you’re great 💞

Yeah the homophobic tag debacle ajdjfjjkkll. I will say that I am happy it happened, if only because it gave me a chance to speak some justice into the situation, step into their echo chamber and attempt to offer an alternative view that they had the opportunity to consider (which is always the first step toward possible change. I never want to assume people’s level when it comes to these things and it’s entirely possible that some people in the tag have never heard anything different & need the opportunity to consider something other than what they’ve been taught. I was there once myself and but for the grace of God there go I still) and so many people came forward to either lend support or just to say that it was nice to see that they weren’t the only ones who are in that queer & religious (or questioning/unsure/traumatized adjacent etc etc) area. Because yeah! It is extremely isolating — the assumption from both sides is that you can’t be both. Part of why I am so loudly religious and loudly queer is so that other people who are going through this journey can see they’re not alone. No matter where you wind up with your beliefs — religious trauma is universal and isolating. It’s important that people talk about it.

Something something what they meant for evil (exclusion) wound up being a good thing in a way (found unity with others, made friends, and also now the bigots are helpfully and willingly labeling/outing themselves ajdjfhjkl). The only thing that makes me still genuinely angry about it is that they have twisted and bastardized the term “salt and light” for so many people who will not know it in any other context other than hate 😔 (and just…it was genuinely such a wasted opportunity for something good, but I digress).

Anyway this really means the world to me. Please don’t apologize 🫶 you’re such an angel for dropping this in my askbox.

Not sure if this a great question to ask, but what's your opinion on Gehenna and its DLC of origin?

Considering AFAIK you're a fan of Jakobs, and while the area has a large Jakobs' vibe to it, it does show the company in a more negative light.

Also I have nobody else to discuss borderlands with.

Bounty of Blood is my 2nd favorite Borderlands DLC overall and if it wasn't for GL&T being basically made in a lab for me to enjoy it would probably be my 1st.

Gehenna overall is one of the prettiest locations in the game. Its aesthetic is absolutely unmatched. Everything abt that planet is great I love it.

And don't worry I'm not that kind of person I'm fully aware every Borderlands megacorp has at least some skeletons in the closet minimum. I ain't stupid.

I have been meaning to write a fic where Wainwright finds out about what happened there (because you can bet your ass his ancestors tried to erase all memory of that place. Worlds of Borderlands sort of confirms this) but idk how do I even tackle this. Well. Heavy and serious thing because it's unlike any other themes I have ever written or thought about. Would probably have to read some big anticolonialist literature I imagine.
