y/ndevils00 heyo! welcome back to my postgame boyfriend show! tonight the njdevils played against the spawns of satan (not trevor)! or.. i mean.. the new york rangers.
we start tonight’s recap off with a very cute picture i got of my boyfriend and his best friend (again; not trevor) talking about how much they love me during warmups!
we also have da sun showing me that the tooth fairy came to visit him awhile ago! i bet he got lots of money for his toofer, however i wouldn’t know because he’s stopped letting me steal his wallet.
our first goal of the night was a tip in by mr. haula at ya! followed up in the same period by a goal from timo time! notice how he made the post this time? that’s because unlike most of these idiots (i’m looking at you, marino 👀), timo takes me seriously!
however, immediately after timo’s goal, haulaback girl was placed in the sin bin for tripping. i was very disappointed and he got a very strict talking to during first intermission and assured me he wouldn’t get another penalty. he lied.
he got a penalty in second period for the exact same reason that he did in the first. i cannot promise i was as nice to him in the second intermission.
we got a few scrums in this game, but my personal favorite one was in third period and ended much too quickly for my liking. BOO, REFS!

Making friends on Tumblr is my absolute favorite thing. One of my most beloved friends I made on here is someone I admired and was intimidated by for months before I saw that they wrote books. I wrote them random asks like 'where would you rather live? In an apartment above a bookstore in the city or in a cabin in the countryside'. Then I worked up the courage to ask if I could read any of their books, and they sent me a link to their Google docks. I read that book in 14 hours. I stayed up all night reading it. After a few hours, maybe, I got so tired that I just started live reacting to the book in their dms. And now I've seen their tits and they've seen mine. We are straight up crushing on each other! It's been what? A year? Two maybe???
Another of my dearest friends on here I made by following one big ish blog. They were friends with this amazing artist on here and reblogged a bunch of his art. I saw that art and thought it was amazing so I started following the guy. Then he posted his kofi link so ppl could commission doodles from him and I thought fuck yeah and sent him some money. I forgot to put in my tumblr name however and it instead used the last name I had used on kofi instead by auto filling. So he had no idea who wanted a doodle and he had to make a post like 'hey who's fookof and what do ya want me to draw for ya' so I had to dm him. Yada Yada Yada now we're real good friends. I mean we have each other's addresses and stuff lol.
And then there's my friend I made over ao3 by commenting on their post all the time. I saw they made a tumblr, and I immediately reached out to say hey and who I was on ao3 lmao.
I also made a friend only talking about this one character from an interactive fiction game called The Passenger (Jonny, my beloved). We talk about other things now, but that's how it started!
Another friend I made by watching the livestream of a big blog I follow. They streamed over YouTube, and the link they shared was accidentally the link to join the stream instead of just watching it. Anyways he suddenly popped up, and I thought he had a lovely smile. He shared his tumblr name and I went and followed him immediately. I then wrote him an ask that said something along the line of 'You have a lovely smile, it's so contagious 😊 ' and he shared his twitch account! I watched a ton of his streams and talking with him in the comments, I fell asleep listening to his voice! It was lovely. And then we joked about giving out our addresses so he could send me girl scout cookies and I could send him danish candy. And then we did!! It was great!
Another very, very dear friend of mine that I love AND HAVE ACTUALLY MET! TWICE! (Although first time doesn't really count since we weren't friends there.) We met irl first through a school program thing where I visited his country with my class. We exchanged tumblrs, and I followed him and then did not interact for like 3 years lol before, I finally reached out to apologize for something I did when we met. And then we started talking more! And now he's my absolute best internet friend!! We made ocs together and have so many au's lol. I think about our characters all the time, they're my blorbos, haha.
Idk what I wanted to say with this post. I just wanted to talk about my beloved friends. I love making friends over tumblr y'all are amazing.

last movie you watched: the new hunger games!! went to see it at the cinema with two friends :) it was good, unsettling exactly where it needed to be (which was. most of the time LOL) and its managed to pull off the 'act as a standalone but still have room for a sequel if someone wanted to' balance v well. and id watch a sequel! but overall i cant lie i prefer the original trilogy...
currently watching: house md on my own, im on season 7 rn and [spoilers] have finally left huddy hell. i love masters btw my friend masters ❤️she just had her first main pov ep and it was a good un. im also watching doctor who when mine gustes and peris schedules line up, and also taskmaster with guste :)
other things you’ve watched this year: ummmm lots but some of my faves are still across the spiderverse, also limitless and alien, and also american psycho but thats sort of from last year, i watched it nye with nami and it hit 2023 like halfway through for me LOL
currently reading: money by martin amis!! its good ive read time's arrow by him before too. he's got a fun way of writing but idk how i feel about him putting himself as a character in this one lol???!!! also i guess i technically have a few other books on the go too but tbh im not actively reading them... btw if anyone wants my goodreads send me a dm !!! i would love more friends on there
currently listening to: my albums 2023 playlist which is um. 1500 songs strong still. i swear ive listened to plenty its just that i keep adding more oopsy doopsy
currently working on: editing my longish nrmts fic so that i can finally start the last three out of ten chappys.... problem is is that im doing this mostly at work when the bars quiet LOL. im also trying to draw more frequently!! ive made it as easy and low stakes as possible for myself (using a biro in some small lined notebook, means i dont get fixated on making things look perfect and also means i dont need to fill up too much space to finish a full page) but its still a habit in progress ....
current obsession: honestly probably the gym. im following what i guess based on exercises and number of sets and reps would be considered a powerbuilding program?? october saw me doing proper strength building work for the first time Ever rather than just hypertrophy/muscle building and ive finally started doing bench press using an actual barbell rack set up!!! and i really like it :P

My inability to get rid of things I have emotional attachments to definitely applies to books, here is an incomplete list of books I will likely never even read or reread but also will never be able to give away:
My Gregor the Overlander books!! I knew Suzanne Collins mostly from these books and when Hunger Games came out/became popular I tried to tell all my friends about this series because I loved it so much when I was 10-12 years old!! And my first internet name was "Boots" because of the younger sister in that book, I loved her so much. And I don't see myself rereading them anytime soon but I have so many fond memories of absolutely devouring and rererererereading them as a preteen so they will stay forever!
"Die Geschwister Apraksin" by Karla Schneider, this was also one of my fave books when I was around 12-13, I don't remember much, except that it was about 5 orphaned siblings during or after the Russian revolution, and it absolutely broke my heart and I cried more than I had ever cried before when reading a book. I don't even think it was a particularly sad book, I think it just made me very emotional for some reason, to imagine these kids' lives and their struggles. And I read it as part of my local bookstore's initiative where they let kids borrow and read the advanced reader copies of books, and then we wrote little reviews that would get posted on a pinboard at the store. So when I had to give the book back (in order to borrow a new book, it was like a little library system within the bookstore), I immediately asked the bookseller if they had the book in stock because I wanted to buy it with my pocket money, but they only had the paperback and (again) I had gotten so attached to the hardback one and the bookseller could tell how much the book meant to me so she just gifted me the copy I had just returned, the one I read, and that meant so much to me, to get to keep the physical copy that I actually read and not have to buy a new version.
Herzen, Hände und Stimmen by Ian McDonald - I have never read this book, idek what it's about but from the book cover I assume it's scifi. I did an exchange semester in France as a teenager, and my host family didn't speak any german but somehow they got this random (thrifted) german book and they gave it to me bc I speak german. And I've never been that much into scifi but the gesture was so sweet and I have so many nice memories of my time with them, so even though I will probably never read that book I will also never give it away.
A complete translation from Vergils Aeneid with the latin and german text side by side. I did Latin in school, and for our final exams we all had to pick one specialized subject we would have an oral exam on, and my specialized subject in Latin class was the 6th book of the Aeneid, so even though I barely remember any Latin and will definitely not reread that for fun, I enjoyed it back in the day and will never get rid of that book.
I have a book on erotic dream interpretation, idk if that fully counts into this category, but my friend and I saw it when my uni library (!!) had a thrift sale of their old books, and that book was so hilarious, I had to get it and then for a while whenever I had people come over to my flat to pregame I would ask them about their dreams and would then very professionally interpret them with my book. This one might not fully count bc I'm not ruling out that I will never do that again but I haven't looked at it in a long time but would never get rid of it because it's too iconic haha

*SPOILERS* Any wise words for someone who is struggling to like Amalia?? She really grinds my gears on a personal lvl, i do appreciate her character and role within the narrative thats *chefs kiss* but shes so pushy 😭😭😭 like girly no one is stopping u from doing lawyer things without me! And then when she got deleted from the UoO system she really struggled to see the big picture??? If we know the Power deleted her, why does she insist on doing things in a normal capacity???
I hope this made sense and didnt come off to rambly, despite my grieviences with Amalia I wouldnt delete her from the game or anything, i do like what she represents and honestly this enitre game is just the best thing to occur this year!
Here are some wise words. Also, I did not intend for this to be so long 😅
Consider things from Amalia's perspective. Although we are playing as the mc, rowan (i'm gonna call them that in this response) is not the center of the universe and everything Amalia does for them, she doesn't have to. Ro begged Amalia to join them in hunting monsters and terrifying dogs and she hesitated a grand total of like three seconds before giving in. At the beginning of the game, Amalia (whose school literally starts in less than a week) is sacrificing her time to help Ro get settled in for school, find an apartment, and basically taking care of all the practical things that Ro would genuinely forget about if left to themselves. She gives up her summers (which she could spend working or studying or taking extra courses) to help Ro on their personal vendetta against power creatures, and consistently puts her life on the line for Ro. So when you consider her being pushy or perhaps selfish for worrying about her future and wanting Ro's support for once... maybe think about all the times she's supported you first.
You must understand just how important Amalia's future is to her. Aside from Rowan and her family, her goals and ambitions are the most important thing in her life for a few reasons. One, she feels like she can make a difference in peoples' lives and needs to do so. Two, she wants to make her parents' sacrifices worth it and make something great of herself. Three, she doesn't want to have to depend on anyone, she wants to be fully independent and take care of herself so she can help take of others. Like I love Noah but mans completely depends on Connor for his survival lol. Amalia doesn't want that. Idk if you've been through college, but she had one more year left!! One more! Imagine the prospect of having to start over from scratch after the hundreds of hours you've spent in class, on assignments, studying, and not to mention the money she spent that she won't be able to get back. This is probably the most difficult thing that has happened to her, not just in the sense that it's a hard thing, but in the sense that she was just royally screwed. Her future is on the line, and for the first time, she wants Rowan's support like she's always supported Rowan.
She is pushy about Rowan going to college but that's because she's a good friend! She knows that this isn't sustainable long-term and she doesn't want Rowan to wind up dead in a ditch someday. Hunting is dangerous for two reasons: physically you might get killed, and when you're hunting you're not preparing for your future. How is Rowan going to make money? Get a job? Ro doesn't have a family to support them and they need to learn to take care of themself. Amalia supports Rowan enough to go along with them and make sure they're safe while chasing monsters while also trying to encourage them to be smart and make choices that will benefit them long-term in life. That's not being pushy, that's being an actual good friend who cares more about what's good for you than only saying what you want to hear.
Finally, consider that Amalia and Rowan have no idea that their story is taking place in the final installment of the It Lives series. The Power has been causing problems for decades, centuries even! Why would Amalia have any reason to think that their investigation will actually end anything? As far as she can tell, fighting the Power is like trying to stop a boat leak by putting your finger over it. It's like the meme guy slapping a piece of paper over the giant leak. She views your situation as powerless. She supports Ro not because she thinks they'll actually make much of a difference, but because she knows Ro is going through it and will do this with or without her, so she figures she may as well be there as much as she can to keep Ro safe. But in her opinion, the Power is unstoppable, unbeatable, and it's best to just step away from it and try to live life as normally as you can. You're not the main character of the universe, this isn't your problem, you should try to live your life and be responsible and have a future.
So this is my list to understand Amalia and her perspective better 🤠 oh and thanks for enjoying and supporting the game, we truly appreciate it 💖

i feel like a fish out of water here wow. i keep going through my faves and they all seem like they'd do both? like im thinking about one straight couple and even there things could get interesting but anyways
naoya from mr.unlucky is never doing either cause with the tempo at which kouta is moving they'd both die from old age before they ever get there
masumi and ritsu from bokushoku both love their dynamic (and why wouldn't they, they seem to be having the most enjoyable sex ever) and they're never changing partners so they're defiinitely sticking to their roles (ig masumi could be curious cause yknow how ritsu is basically his only partner ever but i doubt ritsu would be down? and also if the end of the world didn't get them to try switching i don't think it's likely to happen)

as i said, i take so many outcasts under my wing lol like the more hated he is, the more i empathise. like LM mark or even tonhon (i KNOW)
this question implies it's someone people are feel neutral/negative towards so i'll ignore my boy jiha from all the liquors though i haven't seen an ounce of love for him because i just think the show didn't get posted about much in general. he is cute, he keeps it real, he is the bestie the gives advice but actually sucks at relationships, low sense of self-worth - he's just perfect. and also those lips boyy he's so beautiful. anyways
i kept this question for kim actually but now that i'm here i wonder if i should even bother. like people have had a long time to sort out their feelings.
this just kind of ties with my dislike(?) of porschay, people just ganged up on kim as if the way he acted wasn't an act of protection - a poor choice but coming from a good place nonetheless. in my eyes he's such an antisocial loser that he's not that much more mature than chay who, in some way, i'm sure could outsmart kim easily, not to mention manipulate him if necessary. so with the whole pathetic factor going on idk how at least the tumblr fandom didn't instantly get his pov. i saw so many threats against this guy even long after the finale had aired, some were like ''i get it but i still want to smash him with a hammer for hurting chay'' which ok fair ig if you love porschay i can see where the anger comes from. but still. kim has grown up around the mafia, learnt to always keep his guard up. he tries to solve a mystery all by himself except for the help of a bodyguard who, ultimately, works for his dad, not for him. who can he trust except for himself? he's in the entertainment industry, ppl are interested in him for his family, looks, money or his fame. what he can give them. when he ain't sniffing around and wrecking his brains, he's in the recording studio. that man does not know how to act around his crush, we know how he subtly he gets info out of chay or how he's delighted to see a wall plastered with his face. that man is pathetic, lonely, paranoid, he'd kill anyone who's a threat to chay instantly (>leaves like a dozen corpses in a bar similar to a cat bringing rats to its owner) but will wallow in misery, write a song and serenade him through a text. HE DOES NOT GET HUMANS. he went to that bar, got told off and stormed off, he is so clueless, somebody please help him.
i actually read plenty of posts on kim and that's why i feel strongly about him (thank you everyone who defended him in such articulate ways❤️) and i don't even like him that much!! i just need the hate train to stop

i'll start off by saying a lot of my mutuals are of this opinion and i respect it <33 that being said - bro. i know they could be a bit much especially when the actors aren't that good or the song is a bit bland or if it just feels very out of place? i understand it's sort of become the norm to hate on these performances because '''bl boy whips out guitar'' is a fandom joke at this point. and people are so loud and proud about skipping every single scene with a song in it. but it results in takes like "omg why did win and team sing their confessions they sounded so bad, so off-key, i barely made it".. that's the point? they are overwhelmed with emotions, snot is running down their face, after months of inner turmoil they finally reach the point where they just have to let it all out and yeah, the song would sound much weirder if they played a studio version on top of the footage lmao (example: the autotune on top of akkayan's bday performance that was so horrendous it turned out funny)
it's not that i haven't been tempted to skip through a boring song. i'm not saying it's a baseless complaint. i just find the way it's expressed usually annoying.

Batman Beyond arc concept: the semi-retired Matthew "Matches" Malone + his new apprentices, Cameryn "Cam" Min-Jun and Julio "July" Jimenez
Idk it's just a set up and some vibes. But uh. I don't think Alvin Draper (Tim Drake's underworld cover in the comics) ever made an appearance in the DCAU helping out Matthew "Matches" Malone (Bruce's underworld/henchman cover identity across several universes). so.
Welcome (back) to the underworld, Terry.
After years of surviving in the Gotham underbelly, feeding Batman information and dodging both the cops and angry mafia dons, Matches Malone had decided to retire.
But money didn't go as far as it used to. After a few decades of disappearing, his nest egg ran out. Batman had also vanished in the meantime. He thought he had a few connections, some street kids he fed and put through school, but it didn't work out. They'd made it clear that they'd steal whatever pittance he had left.
So. he thought he'd go out with a bang, burning down one more warehouse in the name of his arson hobby and disappearing into the flames.
That's when Cameryn comes in. Hotheaded and lacking some street knowledge, but with some spit and polish he could be great. A notable lackey for one of the big Rogues. Cam is from Bludhaven, scrounged up his savings to make it big in the mega city of Gotham. It didn't go well. He was homeless and squatting in the aforementioned warehouse where Matches wanted his funeral pyre. Cam tackles Matches away from the flames, angrily demanding why he was trying to kill himself.
Realizing that he couldn't find an answer, Matches decides to take Cam on as an apprentice. Teaching him sneaking techniques, the main families, the history of Gotham and Old Town. They become this duo of gossipers, of grifters and information brokers. Cam is - per his name, good with cameras. Using them, hacking them, hiding from them. Eventually Matches finds out that Cam was sent here by one of his old contacts - it's unclear if it's one of his kids that can't partner him full time like Cam can, or if it was Batman, trying to both help him and train a new underworld contact.
It goes well. Then they get noticed.
A young man named Julio "July" Jimenez thought he recognized Cameryn. But he thought his name was Terry McGinnis. And Cam knew their secret handshake, but disappeared before July could check.
A few days later, Terry shows up at Julio's door, apologetic. Cameryn was a cover story.
Matches is actually his boss, Bruce Wayne. Bruce, after a lifetime of living in Gotham, finally cracked. Back in the day, Bruce was interested in helping people from the ground, not just through donations and social movements. So he created an identity he used to get information that the police and Batman could not.
Now that Bruce is elderly, sometimes the memories between "philanthropic CEO" and "mob mole" end up blurred. Sometimes Bruce doesn't recognize Wayne Manor or Terry. Matches picked up where he left off, defending fellow henchmen, but also being really tempted to just burn everything down.
It took some improv work, but Terry was able to convince Matches that he was an ally. And when Neo Batman realized their predecessors friend was back in the game, they offered help as well. They point Matches to missions and work with him while he's going through his "episodes".
But Barbara had to mess it up by giving Terry a civil service award. (Not exactly for this, no one can really know how bad Bruce got, but.) Now he's burned, he can't be on the streets with Matches. He's stuck as mission control at Wayne Manor.
Terry explains all of this to July. And sits and breathes for a moment. "I haven't actually told anyone else."
"Why not?"
"I can't tell my folks because they'd get worried and make me stop working for Mr. Wayne. Last two times I went to a shrink for myself they turned out to be connected to Rogues, I don't want to risk Mr. Wayne's rep. Powers wants any excuse to get rid of him, and if he's fired, then I'm out of the job too. I told the commissioner because she was a family friend but that got me the award and now my cover is blown." Terry puts his head in his and. "Matches and Bruce ain't bad, they're just. Needing some help."
"I see. Why tell me?"
"I didn't want you to think I was screwing up my life again."
"Wayne was as straightforward as they come. I can't believe you found that skeleton, Terry. Just your luck, huh?"
"yeah."
Another pause. July reaches, starts to hope. "you really believe in him? You think you can take them down?"
Terry immediately knows where this is going. "July. It's dangerous. I can't ask you to do this. You're trying to get out, not go in."

Later, when it goes to heck in a hand basket and Neo Batman has to intervene and bail July out:
"You used that same voice when trying to intimidate Charlie. Try again."
Neo Batman pauses, flicks his hand under his chin and then signs "I love you" with narrowed eyes.
Commissioner Barbara Gordon gives July a witness protection deal and a new job in a better part of town.
Terry visits, eventually confirming he's Neo Batman. July is in the loop, helping out where he can. Even if it's just an ear and a break.
Idk it's an outline I don't know how to end it but it ends well. I ❤️ you.

So far...
In May, I paid my old pal from Ragnarok Online a visit after being friends for 15 years!! It was also my first time visiting Portland, OR. We had a great time! I’ll see you again soon...
Finished reading Golden Kamuy and went through many emotions... I’m very happy that my faves got appropriate closure. Noda did a fantastic job. Right after that, I picked up Dungeon Meshi which I also really like! I caught up within a few weeks of intense reading. Happy that they’re finally getting an anime by Trigger - what an honor!
A highlight of these past few months was the discovery of excellent anime. Occasionally, we find a series that we really enjoy, but I wanted to LOVE something. This was the beginning of my dive into the golden era of OVAs.
There was a lot of experimental, high quality animation during the 80s... I was allured by the potential of finding something amazing amidst a lot of really weird stuff.
I finished a handful of unique series and films before getting caught on a certain one. This, my friends, was Captain Harlock. I knew about the series some years ago but Harlock looked a little too ~edgy~ for my taste so I made the mistake of judging him before getting to know him. Turns out he’s actually just a flashy space dad, befriending other space dads, adopting space kids, and teaching them space lessons, while fighting for space freedom. Its bittersweet and hopeful tone struck the right chords with me which gave it a place among my all-time favorites.
Picked up Xenosaga, an old PS2 series from my HS days. Every few years I replay Episode III. For me it’s a comfort game. It has all the things I like in a jrpg: turn based strategy, mecha, switchable party members, and great music. I’ve never gotten my hands on the first two games, but thanks to a cool friend, the entire series is finally mine this year! Imagine only playing the third game... yeah I had many questions.
Naturally, I am a Xenoblade fan as well. I haven’t gotten the third game yet (very jealous of those who have). Once my brother finishes it, I am next!
Freelance illustration in the wedding business picked up for me so that keeps me busy on weekends on top of my normal job on weekdays. I’m doing okay. It’s busy but not so much that I’m dying. Funny enough, it was due to the long hours glued to my desk that I... sort of got into Yugioh duel monsters from my childhood again?? I like to put videos on while I’m painting and YGO is really great at describing what is going on so I don’t have to look up. I mean, they literally call out every attack LMAO.
My friends are YGO fans as well. Their enthusiasm rubbed off on me since we’re all watching Zexal together. It’s pretty good though I’m only a quarter of the way there. It’s like a close cousin to DM. :)
NGL, I do feel pretty insane for jumping from one fandom to the next every few months. But Moldy, how are you supposed to develop a following if you keep dragging your people everywhere?? I guess I’ll just die? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Idk how other people keep their special interest for so long. It’s just not for me. When I get interested in something, I put all my passion and emotions into it like a raging fire and then it just burns out after a while. I’m trying to see if it yields some interesting results in regards to my art style. They say you shouldn’t try for a style, just let it develop, but I do think goals are healthy. My goal is to evolve with a retro twist as my art journey goes on!
Another subject I wanted to address is my struggle with selling my art. It just makes me squirm since I worry about what might happen to my work if I keep trying to sell stuff. It obviously helps in the money department! I’m just afraid that my work will lose its soul if I turn it into a commodity. It’s silly cuz everyone does it. Surely, they can’t be mutually exclusive: making great content and making great sales. Occasionally, I do get inspired to make a merch item specifically so that can be a positive outlook, right? I will mull over this for another couple months. :\

Tbh it sucks because Friends is so special to me but it tanked, actually got canceled unlike the other gens, the arcade game and merch sales weren't doing it so they tried to rework the series for the next gen
Aikatsu on Parade and all it's merchandise was partly an attempt to scrape up more money for Planet's release but??? I don't think it worked??? the first couple episodes mention all these really cool ideas about their idol world and then nothing came of it, it was a cute concept but I really think they just fell reaaally under budget and tried to skate by hoping nobody noticed
ever since Stars things have just been kind of mismanaged 😭 like why is the majority of their merch acrylic character stands?? you are a trading card rhythm game for 8 year olds 😭
I LOVE how diverse the music is!!!!! all the "standard idol stuff" really stands out too imo. Signalize was one of my favorites from the start, it just hits so different, most idol anime start with that extra sparkly guitar happy type of song but the instrumental for signalize was so unique, I always thought it was a bold choice for a show like that their rock music is so good. like so so gooddddd
I swear out of the like 700 songs of this series there are maybe 6 I don't enjoy?? ALSO WOW THATS A LOT
Same about the animation, OG s2-onward & Friends was great!!! I also love in the movie when Ichigo performs Kagayaki no Etude, there's a slow spinning scene when she's talking on stage about what the song means to her and every couple seconds it switches from 2d to cg angles and it's so seamless, I love it 😭💗
I think Planet's cg was also beautiful, I don't have much of an attatchment to the season but the character designs look really nice, good fluffy hair physics, and they've TOTALLY perfected the in-the-dark glowy look by then!!
another thing most of the fandom agreed on, Stars feeling kind of uncanny.. and the auras kept covering idols art certain parts so that's why they changed all the arches early on, they ACTUALLY got written complaints from kids 😭😂
I always wanted to see an idol with no type or a couple!!! Before Kaguya was introduced there was a huge theory going around that she was actually a Sexy/Cool type and since pairs were the point of Friends, we thought we were finally getting double type girls
I also wished the concept of my coords was used in more than that one ichigo gen ep, where you mix up brandless pieces, one of my favorite things to do is mix and match outfits in the ds games so I was hoping to see like idk maybe soleil could split their PR coords together one time or something??? idk would have been cool though!!
Ugh I do agree with you on the merchandise. Like I can’t play any of the card-based games because America so the cards would basically be glorified trading cards. This might be my doll collector brain talking, but why didn’t they make fashion dolls? I know they did for Friends but they didn’t expand on the concept at all, they just made two dolls. I want to see the girls in their basic coords and then fashion packs for each brand, like a set of multiple Futuring Girl rares or just one PR. I would have gone absolutely apeshit for that. It would also allow for mixing and matching, so maybe it could have tied into the show a lot more like with the concept of PR mixing you brought up! I feel like most PRs in units work pretty well together so I’d like to see the mix ups.
Yeah, I really do not care for planet. I think it really didn’t work, and was an awful lot like PriPara when it didn’t need to be! While the cg is admittedly gorgeous, I also feel like it tried to be so ✨aesthetic✨ all of a sudden instead of being bright and colorful like it’s always been! But maybe I just hate change.
I’ve heard that a lot of people find Raki to be a Mary Sue and hate the way she copied the designs of others. I don’t know enough about her to form an opinion, really, but what do you think?
I love the fact that the kids complained during Stars. They may be kids, but they have standards!!
I think double type idols would be super cool and really flesh out the world. Tbh I think there could be a few idols that could be double typed with only a few minor tweaks (I always thought Mikuru was a pop/sexy idol tbh). One thing I think would be interesting is to see how brands would react to it. Brands appreciate dedication, so would dual type idols have a hard time getting PRs because the pure-type brands would worry about being thrown aside? Cool conflict imo.
Now I have to ask, are the ds games any good? Are they able to be played as someone who speaks absolutely no Japanese? I’ve never really thought about getting one of the games before because I have no clue how they work

Assuming you don’t know what hollow knight is, is basically like a metroidvania game and it’s sooooo gooooood !! IM IN LOVE WITH THE GAME SINCE LIKE. Idk I think I discovered it in 2019 I think I can’t remember, BUT BUT, I had like this discussion with my sister telling her we should buy it and that I would pay for it and stuff and I finally convinced her, she liked the game, the one going crazy over it was me tho—

You get lost really easily if you can’t find Cornifer to buy the map of the area but that’s the fun part !! Just exploring random places and memorizing stuff is just so nice !! ALSO THE BOSSES OOF, I love every single one of them !! Sure there are some that,,, aren’t that fun, but at the end of the day they’re still pretty enjoyable !! It’s got plenty of nice characters my fav being Quirrel whom I have a plushie of (also a plush of like the void version of the player, plus a silly drawing I made, I would buy more merch but I’m poor also I have more fandoms to attend to so— I have some merch here and there of other stuff so well that’s we’re my money goes to :]]) also also !! The name I use to sign my drawings comes form like the ship name I like from that game yes it’s gay bugs idk why they look cute ig

Wheelchairs are so good tbh, like my stance (and the general disability studies/activism stance) is that if an accommodation makes your life better, you should use it. Doesn't matter if you could do [thing] without it, if it makes doing [thing] easier, you should use it!
Like I could just walk around with a dislocated/subluxated hip, but if I want to walk without pain then I need to use my wheelchair! The first time I ever used one was at a museum, and I realised it was the first time I'd ever enjoyed a museum cause I wasn't in horrible pain for once. After that, I started the process of getting my own wheelchair because it's so much nicer to live a life where I can focus on my surroundings without being distracted by pain!
Ooooh that sounds like lots of fun!! I know one of my friends plays it, but I've never actually seen it played. I may watch some playthroughs/streams of it or something to see if it'd be my sort of game, and if it is then I'll probably get it!! It sounds super cool from how you describe it, and I love the idea of gay bugs~

making: made some valentines for friends! no pics yet because they haven't been mailed yet lol, unfortunately the only ones that made it to friends before valentines day are the ones that i ordered lil things off of etsy for. oops. so the homemade stuff isn't going out til this weekend probably. valentines is fake so who cares really
misc: got to see COWS this weekend!!! i spent a stupid amount of money on a haircut on saturday down in the closest city (so an hour away) because i was desperate for someone who knew how to cut curly hair and unfortunately i was not disappointed so i will probably continue to pay stupid money for haircuts. roommate came and did work in sbux while i was haircut, we got daves hot chicken for lunch (very tasty), walked around, went to TJs for groceries, and then hit this organic dairy farm because they wanted to get choccy milk for their partner! unfortunately they didnt have the chocolate milk but we did get cottage cheese, soft cheese, uhh Misc dairy basically. yum. and we got to SEE THE COWS. they're so shape.
got to dogsit my neighbor's anxiety-beset beast this weekend too. baby.
finally i hung out with friends for the superb owl! i do not care abt the sportball but it was nice to vibe. also the halftime show made me crack up ngl

I had a very intense espionage/escape dream. It started with a friend visiting me in Finland. It was December I think, because I remember all the cheap boxes of chocolate that were being sold everywhere. There was no snow though. I don't remember the beginning much. I think we were just hanging out in town, maybe we went to some convention or sth. I remember sleeping in some large hall in a sleeping bag.
There was a man in the hall who was talking to us at some point. I don't remember what his business was but he was civil and was probably just checking up on us. He soon left us alone in good spirits.
Later either we did something criminal or maybe there was a PSA that suddenly changed how the world works but we were suddenly in danger. We knew instantly that the man from before was coming after us for one reason or another. He was some kind of spy/agent but idk who he was working for.
We quickly came to a conclusion that I couldn't stay in Finland and would have to leave immediately. I could just escape to Germany and if I could grab my iPad I could just make NSFW furry commissions to get by. My stuff was all in the sleeping hall so we went back, knowing the man would most likely come there to look for us so we had to be quick. I grabbed my things but as we were about to run we saw the man enter and come toward us. We tried to hide but that made us look suspicious and we ended up in a fight with him. We managed to escape but we had to lose the man so he wouldn't see where we were heading. We ended up in a big chase through the convention place which included hiding in maintenance rooms, going through areas under construction and wild elevator rides (there was an elevator that went up-left-down-up-left-down) but we finally made it outside.
We grabbed scoots and tried to head for the railway station. The man was still after us and also on a scoot so the chase through town was pretty intense.
I think the man crashed badly or something so we got to the station before him and out of town. We headed straight to the airport which was a fucking chaos. Flights delayed, a lot of people just stuck there and the next flight would be in four hours. The man knew I would try to flee the country so he would be able to catch up in that time depending on how badly injured he was. We would have to hide at he airport until the flight or take a flight to Stockholm and then a ferry to Denmark or flight to Germany from there. Apparently all flights before midnight had been fully booked or cancelled so all we were able to do was prepare.
At the aiport we ran into some people who had ways to help us. They didn't have an agenda, they were specifically invested in getting me and the likes of me out of the country. We were handed tickets for a flight and taken to an elevetor. We were supposed to get of at floor 4.6 and go though a narrow corridor between old terminal and some new additiom and then join a tourist group in another sleeping hall where we were supposed to wait until someone came looking for us.
At this point the man had already caught up and we soon learned that his entire face was mildly burnt but he was still going around showing people pictures of us. At one point he even got in the sleeping hall we were in but the lights were down and everyone there was asleep so we pretended to be as well, hiding in some Chinese person's extra blankets. The man didn't expect to find us there so he didn't spend much time looking around and left.
Soon after the man had gone one of the benefactors came to fetch us and took us to a shop to get supplies. We were told to buy specifid items and pay with a specific amount of money which we did. The person at the counter gave us change in Lego studs (the currency from Lego games). Silver, gold and blue. The blue ones were worth 100e each and we could exchange them upon arrival to Germany. I knew that the amount we got was enough to not only get to our destination but to also live for a while until I got my furry porn business set up.
I think we were then taken to some alternative route, perhaps through Sweden, because the man we were running from was making a big hassle at the airport and we needed time. It would be safest if we could quietly disappear and hope he didn't catch on. We got to the gates and maybe even on the plane but then I woke up.

a while ago i heard that nintendo was gonna discontinue their 2ds/3ds support and eshop service soooo i decided to mod my 3ds!! and i was successful!!! now i have access to the entire library of 3ds games and more if you include nds and other emulator games heheh (☞ﾟヮﾟ)☞
and the best part of all......... cUSTOM THEMES!!! ✨
i also took advantage of the acnl save editor and made marshal a resident in my town!!! yESS finally childhood dream fulfilled!!!
honestly i'm just rly glad that my 3ds still works (only the charger ded but i managed to get a third party replacement) bc i haven't touched it in yEARS. it sucks that you can't buy one in the shop anymore. i'm actually tempted to grab another set (the pikachu 2ds tho 👀) from ebay or something before they are completely wiped from the market but eh i'll think about it a little more. i can only hope that my 3ds lives a long life bc there are so many 3ds exclusive games that i wanna play.
recently i had the most random urge to play zero escape: 999 and i found an online emulator for it bUT THE FEELING JUST WASN'T RIGHT.......
and cooking mama games??? sometimes i just wanna go for a nostalgia run but idk how those games will work without a touchscreen and stylus.
since i can now get any digital game i want, i decided to sell off almost my entire physical 3ds and nds game collection to free up storage space and recoup some money to fund other things. of course, i backed up all my save files from my physical cartridges beforehand and made sure they were properly transferred to the games that i'd downloaded digitally. the only games i kept were persona q2 (part of my p5 collection and also the very last 3ds game i got) and lux-pain (kinda rare?? and i like the artbook that came with it).
i did not expect that some of the games would fetch over $100 in the resale market??? wHY?? when modding exists??? physical game collectors are on another level O: anyway i lowballed myself in hopes of quicker deals and i got so many messages within the first hour of listing?? and it somehow became an auction situation with ppl trying to outbid one another lmaoo that was by far the most interesting carousell experience i've ever had.
for those who are interested in modding, pls use the written guide!! sometimes video guides miss out information/steps and screwing up can mean a bricked system. or if you are my irl friend you can just ask me to do it for you ;-)))
btw the game in the third pic is fantasy life!! it's a chill sandbox rpg with very cute graphics. there's an upcoming fantasy life game that was just announced for the switch and i'm hyped!!! but first,, i need to do something about the backlog

For Thanksgiving I made homemade pumpkin cheesecake, from scratch!! First time ever!! So delicious!!!

and while I'm procrastinating...
I finally, finally cleared my sim's inventory of all fish. I never did it before because the fish was useful for gardening. He had 92 salmon which make excellent fertilizer x'D lmao. I garden a lot so I couldn't bring myself to sell them. Then I had the brilliant idea to just move them to a different sim's inventory temporarily. Yay for ingenious solutions that took me embarrassingly long to figure out.
Once he was fish-free, I had him go fishing and catch a tilapia. The tilapia was excellent quality. Got out the campire and picked Roast Fish. He roasted the fish and for the first time EVER, he enjoyed the meal. It was "excellent" quality when I've only ever gotten "poor" before. Clearly the fish quality matters. Even when he caught fresh fish, because there were 92 foul, stinking salmon in his inventory, he'd end up cooking one of those instead of the good one and then have an upset stomach xP
You may think that should have been obvious BUT in my defense, no other food works like this in sims 4 - Although that's a lie, I don't actually know for sure what happens if you let meat spoil and then try to cook a meat dish. Probably THEN it's poor quality and you get sick. But I don't know because I've never had this issue. Reason being, when I get meat I put it in the fridge right away. You can't roast meat over the campfire, so there's no reason to keep it in your inventory. Plus, if you're not doing the Simple Living challenge, you probably don't even shop for meat.
So your chances of eating bad food because the ingredients were spoiled to begin with are really, really slim most of the time - EXCEPT with campfire-roasted fish. Because you need the fish to be in your inventory (unless you're camping on your home lot for some reason). The campfire dates back to Outdoor Retreat, the very first Sims 4 DLC, so it's no wonder it's so simplistic.
But it is a problem. It's not reasonable to assume sims will sell all the fish they catch except what they plan to eat right away. Even when there was only Outdoor Retreat and base game, this made no sense - because fish were fertilizer for gardens. As far as I know, they've always had that ability (but there have been lots of changes so maybe I'm wrong). Now sure, most sims don't need 92 salmon in their inventory. But salmon are such GREAT fertilizer even when they're completely rank that to sell them if you don't need money makes no sense. You can use them any time to fertilize the plants - there's no time limit.
You COULD put the fish in the fridge instead of your inventory. But two problems - one, in my play style, I have my sim with 92 salmon hop around fertilizing public gardens as well as his friends' gardens, and I want to be sure of using salmon for that - not fishing somewhere nearby and only catching a guppy. Second, and more relevant to players besides myself, is the fridge these days is SOOOO laggy. Idk but every time I click it, it takes several long seconds to bring up the first menu. And then if there's a lot inside, you have to scroll around to what you want... I avoid opening the fridge. Yes, these are just a few extra steps, not really an inconvenience... but it is SO convenient to just keep the fish in my inventory...
Well, if that's how it is, then I have no other choice. But what I would LIKE is for the campfire to be programmed to either let us choose which fish we want to roast, so we can pick good quality ones, OR default to the freshest fish in the inventory. Then you'd still have to be careful not to accidentally eat a fish you want to keep, but at least you won't get an upset stomach every time you don't eat a fish right away. Because they seem to spoil pretty fast.
Also I want more campfire food options. Tired of veggie dogs and marshmallows. What about campfire-roasted sweet potatoes?? Mmm. Or how about just being able to roast any edible in your inventory? I know, it's pointless, you can just eat it raw... I just love camping in the sims x'D though I'm probably the only one
