Y/n smiled as she read through Caitlin’s comments. After the eye-opening conversation she had with Kate last night, Y/n had become more open to the idea.

She also thought the caption was cute.

Y/n groaned as her stomach grumbled. She placed her phone on her bed, stood up, cracked her spine, and walked into her kitchen.

Y/n decided to make something easy, then sit on her couch and binge-watch crappy reality tv. This was her first week off in months and she would spend it rotting in her living room like every normal 21-year-old.

Y/n couldn’t tell you the number of below-deck episodes she had binge-watched, but by the time she finished, the sun was down and the crickets were chirping. She begrudgingly stalked back to her bedroom, changing into her pajamas and throwing herself down on her bed.

She picked up her phone, only to drop it a second later in shock.

Caitlin, on the other hand, was freaking out. She had never even spoken to Y/n before, but Kate had convinced her to DM her.

Caitlin probably typed and retyped her DM 50 times before settling on a ‘hey !’

Caitlin groaned and shoved her phone down after finally hitting send. She couldn’t help but picking up her phone every ten seconds to see if Y/n had opened or responded to her DM.

After 10 minutes, Caitlin had eventually given up hope of a response and sighed, turning off her phone and putting her head in her hands.

Caitlin buisied herself by ordering doordash and sitting on her couch, rewatching film her coaches gave her to look over. She lost track of time and found herself mindlessly picking at her fingers, only coming to when she realized it was past midnight. ]

She groaned as she stood up from the couch, attempting to rub the sleep from her eyes. Caitlin walked into her bedroom as she sat on her bed. She picked up her phone and almost threw it when she saw her most recent notification.

Some may consider being friends with your boyfriends ex weird, but barbara and kori were still a part of his teams and they knew what grayson had with you was something special and different. And so you became sort of friends..at least this way you got gossip on grayson. But it was also the reason why you were here, In a jewellery store. looking through wedding bands.

"And then he kept crying "take me to y/n" " laughed kori telling the story of Dick on anesthesia. You laughed back in return"What can I say, the man's a simp". "Yea never really saw him like that you know" replies Kori.

"Like what?" . "Loving someone so much, he was sweet with me, but he never really made effort. I guess I always knew it was a temporary thing. I couldn't even bring up commitment with him, I don't think I even heard him say the word "wedding" the whole time we were together."

"He is a litttle hesitant towards commitment I suppose, its his childhood- all that repressed trauma" you say , trying to cheer her up a little. "But with you it seems like he might even ask you to marry him- though the idea of him asking anyone to marry him sounds crazy"

"Why is that?" you ask

"Dont take me wrong, he loves you but I just cant see him getting down on one knee and -well popping the question"

And so here you are now. Staring at the perfect wedding band set . Was this a little unconventional ..yes. Did you care? Hell no. You knew Dick wanted forever with you. You guys had talked about kids, grandkids, what flowers you want in your wedding. He just wasn't popping the question and if he wasn't going to do it, you would. You understand he has his issues, but he is committed to you, he loves you and you can help him out with this little something.

After that talk with kori you had been monitoring Dick , He did talk a lot about marrying you but never really brought up the actual question. And you didn't want to wait longer. This was the man you wanted to spend forever with..its decided.

So you and dick plan out a perfect date. He was more than excited to make sure everything was perfect- saying he was just excited because you guys haven't had a proper date in while(which is a lie , dick takes you out every week for a fancy date )

But it turns out perfect. By the private beach, a pretty blanket with champagne and food. the sun setting slowly and a chill spring air which makes you sit just a little closer. You take out the ring just as the sun starts setting. Dick looks over perplexed. He looks at the ring, then at you smiling and then ring again. "Dick grayson, I love you. I never thought I'd meet a man like you, I didn't even know they existed. And they don't , you're special to me. You are kind and smart and really hot. There is no one else for me , its just you. Marry me?"

Dick gives the biggest smile, pulls you up onto the sand and get down on his knees before reaching into his pocket and pulling out a ring. "y/n, I guess you beat me to it huh? Ive been carrying this ring for 3 months now waiting for the perfect moment. But every moment with you is perfect, you are perfect for me and you make me want to be the perfect man for you. Ive known that since the first date , I know that right now and I will remember it forever. Will you marry me y/n l/n?"

"First you answer my question" you hiccup, tears welling up in your eyes.

"haha, yes yes I will marry you y/n grayson"

"is this a bad time to mention I don't like your surname"

"We can change it, keep it something you like, like cupcakes..y/n cupcakes" he says tears in his own eyes.

you giggle as you pull him up, sliding the rings onto each others hand and kissing as the sun falls below the ocean's horizon.

summary ✦ clay and reader have heart surgery the same day, and they comfort each other.

“We’ll be okay.” Clay runs his fingers through your hair in hopes it will calm you down. your surgery was less than a few hours away, and you were scared. what if the doctors do something wrong that ends up in death for you or clay.. or both. Clay was your everything, and you couldn't bare to lose him.

“You don't know that for sure.” she sighed, looking up at Clay to say something else, but he beat her to it. “Yes I do. what kind of hospital hires doctors that don't know how to be doctors.” he was just trying to make you feel better. he knew there were always risks in any situation for surgery. “After this, we're gonna be fine, sweetie. more than fine.” he kissed your cheek. “we'll start our own family and be happy the rest of our lives without being scared of randomly dying on the spot.”

Clay was always better with coming to peace with his condition, so much so that it didn't bother him to make jokes about randomly dying on the spot. you, on the other hand, were really scared of dying and not being able to fulfill a good enough life. you wanted to have fun, find a suitable husband to raise a family with, and be the best wife & mother you could be. so, the thought of death being able to take you out of nowhere was terrifying.

“clay, dont say that. It's not funny.” you look down to his chest. “I just.. want us to live the life we deserve.”, “and we will. I'm telling you, baby, nothing bad is gonna happen, you'll see.” he placed a gentle kiss on your lips.

the time finally came, and you were being pushed on the hospital beds to the surgery rooms. Clay held your hand the whole way there since his bed was next to yours. “I love you, clay. with all my weak heart has to give.” he wanted to burst into tears. this could he the last time you see each other. as much as he didn't wanna think about it, he did. his beautiful angel being taken away from him or him being taken away from you, ending up in not giving you the life you wanted with him. still, he put a smile on and looked at your wedding ring, then his. “I love you too, y/n. I'll never stop loving you.” even the nurses who were pushing your beds wanted to cry.

“if anything happens, you were the one for me, baby. the only one. the girl of my dreams.” he gives the softest half smile as you're close to parting ways to different rooms. “I'll see you out of surgery, honey.” you respond, kissing your fingers and placing it on his hand. he shed a tear and nodded as you split ways.

things were going great for the first half of everything that the doctors did. but then something went wrong.. very wrong. the heart wasnt receiving enough blood flow. the doctors didn't even notice until it was too late. how could they break the news? after the nurses told them about how all you two wanted was to stay here on earth with each other and raise a baby of your own. that didn't matter anymore. you were dead.

Clay woke up from surgery, his mother and a couple of friends by his bed. his first instinct was to look over to the bed next to him so he could see you. nothing. the bed was empty. it made his still fragile heart begin to beat fast in worry. “where is she?” he looked to his mother with teary eyes. “where is my wife?” his voice cracked. he was staring to cry. did you make it? please, God, he hoped you made it and you were just put in a different room.

All his mother and friends did was frown at him, crying as well. Clay sucked in air and started to cry. sniffling while shaking his head, he still kept looking to the bed. “No, no, no. this wasn't how it was supposed to go. youre all lying.” his cries were heartbreaking. “Mom?” he switched his gaze to her, hoping it was all a lie.. a dream.. a hallucination. anything but the truth.

“I'm sorry, Clay.” that was it. you were officially gone. his baby was gone. not just you, but the baby he could have given you. the baby he could love and see you through the eyes of your child.

Clay never emotionally recovered from that. he never dated either. never even dared to stare or flirt with another woman. all he ever did was work, drink, visit your grave, and go to bed. occasionally visit some friends and family, but that was it. his life was never the same without you. he kept all your things. he sprayed your signature perfume on your pillow thst he cuddled with to just pretend you were still there with him.

Clay Beresford was absolutely miserable for the rest of his life without you.

A/N: I literally just woke up and typed this, so grammatical errors will be present

“Ok, Twi, we love you, but you seriously need to learn to drive.” Legend grumbled, “I’m sick of walking, and after the… restaurant incident Time isn’t driving us anywhere.”

“What are you talking about? We have Epona!” The rancher responded. Why learn to drive when you already can travel easily with a horse? “I ain’t wasting time getting a… car license, when we already got a fast way to travel.”

“Can Epona fit 9 Links and their stuff?”

“Good point.”

…

“Okay, let’s start with the basics. This is a car.” Time pointed to the vehicle, “It’s used to drive.”

“Old man, I’m not stupid.” Twilight hopped into the front seat, “Bless y’alls hearts, anyways, how do you drive this thing?”

“Um… First set the lever into DRIVE,” Time paused, “I think.”

“You THINK?”

“CUT ME SOME SLACK I’M OLD.”

“Okay, 60 years old is back on the list.” Wind whispered to the rest of the chain, “But I’m guessing older.”

“Anyways, back to what I was saying…”

So, after about 3 hours of attempting to teach the rancher how to drive, and about 5 hours of failing miserably, Time completely lost hope.

“You know,” Wild crunched on an apple, “I could teach ya how to use the master cycle 0-“

“Are you sure that’s safe?” Four jumped in, “I’ve seen you fuel that thing with literally anything, not to mention isn’t that like a gazillion years old?”

“Who’s counting?”

“Wait, wait.” Warriors interjected, “Isn’t there a driving school?”

“Oh yeahhhhh” Legend sarcastically responded, “Because we just LOVE to waste our precious rupees for transportation.”

“Wasn’t this whole learning thing your idea vet?-“

“Hush hush pretty boy, let the big kids talk”

“WELL EXUSE ME-“

“NO.” Hyrule quickly shut Warriors’ mouth, “We don’t talk about that…” Then he paused, “Wait, a DMV does make sense though.”

…

About a million “years” later, Twilight emerged from the car. Full marks.

“I got a drivers license.”

The Links cheered, “Good job rancher, I knew you could do it.” Time gave him a pat on the back.

“Now I can do what I always wanted to do…”

Twilight hopped back into the car.

“MIDNA, THIS IS FOR YOU.”

answering this in english since it touches on the Janka lore 💥💥💥

although the comic idea was there more for the laughs, there's a significant difference between Giewont and Janka when it comes to relationships with people. The first one used to be a hard worker but got betrayed by humanity. They're wandering around, with no place on this earth, scared of what being around people will do to her. Forming meaningful connection is hard and they're not even sure if they really want to do that.

on the other hand we have Janka, designed to look nice, to be amiable. she's always there to listen. she knows your favourite songs and brightens your day. she can't leave you unless you get rid of her yourself!

i think it's an idea that would need some more exploration. people who are lost or lonely or angry or searching for whatever feeling they need in their life try to find a thing to bestow those feelings upon. and sometimes it ended up being Janka. whether or not the feeling was reciprocated or not, or if they've seen her as an object or as a person - that's a question for another time

#i was thinking about what may happened with some of the people she was close with #since she communicated in songs i imagine a scenario where she met a singer who was eager to write songs for her she could use to speak #simple phrases incomporated into lyrics like 'i love you' 'i miss you' 'please stay a bit longer'#but after a while she noticed some phrases were missing. there was never a 'you've hurt me“ but an ”i'm sorry you had to do that“#“you're to good for me to be true” instead of “you never treat me like a person”#“i can't stand a moment without you” instead of “please leave me alone”#the singer may have proclaimed love but did they really love Janka or just the adorations parroted back to them in their own voice?#amazing how you can make others bend to your will when you're the one writing the script they have to follow. but is it love? is it?#yeah sorry i got carried away. also sorry for responding so late i was out of town 😔🙏#Janka and her 7 evil exes (and 10 normal ones too. i guess.)#janka spg #giewont spg #(making a wild appearance)#asks

hey!! So, about Bombshell, his pronouns are he/they, sorry for not clarifying!! :p their personality is like Hobie Brown from ATS, basically just an anarchist who goes against higher ups. They are very loyal, as their family gave him up as a kid, landing in the hands of moths who worshipped a moon god. Not traditional with the type of moth he is (brown moth). And so, he has been somewhat judged for this, that and how he has no wings that can fly, but he is loyal to his family for taking him in and loyal to the Shadow Wizard Money Gang (yes, that’s the organization name) who took him in as well. He can be intimidating, most of the time, again due to his height, but also in that he doesn’t talk much. (Opposite of me. When he does, he can sound intimidating, despite his voice, as he makes threats and such to the enemy. But if he likes you, he will always give you hugs or head pats. :)

Awh man, I love Bombshell, he's so very cool! Where did they get their nickname Bombshell from, though? Because while it may sound really cool, it's also so very different from his real name :o Would he ever want to fly? It's fascinating that he can't, but I wonder if he ever dreamt about doing so before! Also Hobie Brown is such a cool character, I loved that guy in ATSV! So I can already tell that Bombshell is a lovely moth lit! Now that I have some grasp of what they are like, I do agree that them and Arya would get along! Arya is a little bastard and instigator, though, so you can expect her to go along with something stupid and chaotic, or even suggest such a thing! Your session sounds like it must have been a lot of fun, especially if you made up an organization called Shadow Wizard Money Gang! Also!! Hugs and headpats :D Who doesn't love that sort of thing!! That makes me like him so much more too!!! He's great and I love him!! Have you ever drawn him or have you ever had someone else draw him? :>

lmao Yeah, basically*

Wrestling and drag are both about creating an exaggerated hyper-gendered, often campy, persona for an semi-interactive audience. Wrestling is just about telling a story through fighting instead of singing or dancing.

And, yeah, wrestling demographics are (still) mostly straight men. Obviously, some of them are closeted but I think for a lot of them it's an acceptable (read: masculine and therefor not embarrassing) form of live theater. And for the men who perform in the ring it's an excuse to dress up and be silly when that would normally be frowned upon. A lot of wrestling entrance gear wouldn't be out of place at a drag show or gay night club!

Anyway, I could keep going about this kind of stuff forever lol. Gender presentation and queerness in wrestling is fascinating stuff.

*I say this with the caveat that I haven't been to a drag show in years and the only drag performance I've seen recently was literally from a drag/wrestling crossover show

I don't entirely remember how (erm, or when) we first met (though I'm sure it was mutual participation in HitsuHina events) but I wanted to let you know I've had such a good time getting to know you better over 2022. I value having Writing Friends so much, and I love the way you talk about your stories--what you were going for, what inspired you, how the process went. Thank you so much for all of your support as well. <3

You mentioned in an AO3 comment that you loved the way HitsuHina fandom was building off one another and creating this hivelike fannish ecosystem together and I am 100% with you on that; it is my favorite, favorite thing. Looking forward to more/better/wackier in 2023! You are awesome! :)

I have immensely appreciated getting to know you over 2022 in writing and interacting with other writers in the Bleach fandom but especially in our Hitsuhina corner :) Your writing has honestly inspired me in my own ideas and prompts that I have so many little plot snippets in my phone that excites me to explore and expand on the universe that you so eloquently write of! I think the way you capture the Bleach universe is so fresh and nuanced and adds a whole level of depth to what we already know :)

It has been extremely gratifying to see how we riff off each other from @rays-of-fire-and-ice coordinating events and her detailed headcanons of key moments missing from manga; to @alexiethymia's ability to analyze even the briefest of manga panels and create headcanons that just add so much more depth to canon material; @rainfestive's impeccable skill to convey gentleness and intimacy in her lovely drawings. And like you said, we are truly carving our own corner in the Kubo world and I absolutely love how the ideas we individually write to just even the smallest comment finds itself in other people's work--which just makes participating in the fandom so much more enjoyable! It's really become a special place <3

To be completely honest, I've taken a slight break from tumblr (not completely!) just because the end of last year with all my writing slightly burnt myself out! I didn't get to rest as much as I needed so it feels a little difficult to start writing again. But I assure you, that I will be back with some fics and I promise I'll open requests to celebrate my 100th reblog milestone!

they'd love to get a tattoo but despite their reckless and impulsive nature they get all frozen and indecisive trying to pick a design :P they pride themself on being a very pretty person and they worry about permanently doing something that doesn't work with their aesthetic lmao

Quinn has an intense fear of enclosed spaces

Quinn's favourite sound is Alex purring

they can never sneeze just once, they always sneeze at least three times in a row

all of their piercings were performed by themself in their own home with varying degrees of safety and professionalism, with the exception of their industrial which they bullied an extremely nervous Alex into performing

although Quinn has a huge soft spot and a bit of a Thing for vampires AND although they'd absolutely be an even more powerful force to be reckoned with if they turned, the idea of actually becoming a vampire themself makes their skin crawl and they can't think of anything they'd like less

this is a huge fucking relief to every single person that knows them because Vampire Quinn is about the most terrifying concept imaginable

they haven't read 90% of the books on their big fancy bookshelf, they just pick ones they think will make them look sophisticated and intelligent

What caused you to start writing? What was your key point?

Questions for the mun. A series of questions for the mun / the person behind the muse(s)

I actually loved writing from when I was a kid ( my middle school days were full of cliche deviantart and flipnote and skype rping lord ) but a big changing point for me was when I was about fifteen or so I actually tried writing Maes Hughes on Shamchat just to mess with people, and I had a good number of people tell me I was pretty decent at it. I guess that would be my key motivator since, well, without it I wouldn't be anywhere that I am now. His blog was actually my very first attempt at 'officially' writing full-on literature responses and trying to understand a character fundamentally and it really was an incredible experience. The FMA community is a strange community and sadly after a good six(?)or so years on the blog I had to step away because of a lot of drama and toxicity, but I'm trying to write him again as well as Vash now.

I genuinely love getting to know characters in this depth and you find that you really will write characters drastically different from other muns, even when it is the same 'character' there are mannerisms and aspects that only you and your muse create together or produce and it's really incredible. No one will ever write your muse the way you will - and honestly, if you and your muse click real well you won't have to work too hard to get them to write for you most of the time. That's the sort of relationship I had with Maes' character, and honestly he will always be my first and probably most favorite muse I ever write with for that sole reason. He just feels like another arm to me sometimes.

I'm definitely rusty since it's been so long, and I genuinely apologize for how scarcely I am on here at times, but I'm starting to genuinely also connect tightly with Vash as a character and it's probably because in some aspects he and Maes are similar too. And I genuinely love writing Vash and working with his character because he's one I've loved since I first watched 98 a good ten or so years ago. He was a character my sibling could easily say I had an eagerness to write at one point or another and now I finally am 'officially' I guess! Pretty neat and again I really enjoy working with him.
