8 years later and the way so many UT fans immediately went "I diagnose mettaton with abusive manipulative evil slvt" still doesn't sit right with my soul.
Mettaton was shitty to Alphys and he actually admits that in one of the endings. Mettaton wanted to leave the underground to be a star on the surface but after the phone calls he decides to stay because he realized he belonged with his other monsters and not with humans and to leave them behind, to make them just a stepping stone, was wrong. He tried to apologize to Napstablook during one of the calls. He went home to Waterfall and Napstablook after the game. Mettaton wanted to follow his dreams and shitty about it initially, but he realized that and decided he wanted to be better and repair broken relationships with people he cared about. He's not heartless, he does care about people. He let his ambitions cloud his judgement and he acknowledges that and tries to do better.
The truth of his alleged abuse of Burgerpants is dubious at best since Burgerpants is, in game, shown to be an unreliable narrator. He describes how Bratty and Catty manipulated him because they are pretty and think he is a loser. When you speak to them, they say they intended to share the glamburgers with him but he wouldn't let them get that far and ran off. Catty and Bratty also described Burgerpants as creepy and off-putting to them. Also, if you kill Mettaton and go back to the resort, all of his employees and the people in the resort are worried about him and have a lot to say in regards that he's a good boss, is kind to them, and gives them pep talks every day. Mettaton is "missing" at that point, they have no reason to lie to Frisk about those feelings and events because any "threat" that Mettaton would pose is non-existent.
As for the king Mettaton ending... It's extremely concerning, but it's also clearly meant to be a bad ending. Mettaton is an entertainer, not a leader. This is a route if Mettaton has the responsibility of a ruler thrust onto him when he really isn't suited for it. He isn't focusing on the issues the underground is facing because he doesn't know how. All he knows how to do is entertain and distract people. His entire career was based on distracting monsters from their listless lives in the Underground so he just continues to do that.
The people who don't like his show disappearing is very concerning. It's clearly implied that his ego gets inflated in all the wrong ways and his power is kind of going unchecked. It's a clear cut bad ending. One that you have to purposefully unlock at that. The only way to get that ending is to kill everyone except Mettaton, Papyrus, and Sans (killing Toriel, Undyne, and Asgore). So shockingly, when you kill the 3 people most suited for running the kingdom, Mettaton is the citizens choice, and he's not a good leader because he has no idea what he's doing and only knows how to process things through his (in that ending) unchecked ego. Even then there is still a sliver of goodness that shines through as he does talk about searching for Alphys and being unable to find her. The implication being that Alphys, depressed, ended her own life in the true lab.
And don't even get me started on how yall wrote him being cruel and manipulative to Papyrus in order to justify hating the PapyTon ship (for whatever reason). Some fans went off the deep end with that one.

toriel living in his house?
yep! at least, that seems to be implied in some of the post canon pacifist content, like the Q&A and the winter alarm clock dialogue.
Aside from the fact that even in the game, sans is ready to shack up with her IMMEDIATELY in the exiled queen ending, and if papyrus is still alive they both hang out with her in the RUINs to keep her company, there's also other stuff!
The sturdiest proof is when the Q&A mentions that she buys groceries for the skelebros, packs papyrus his lunch (she makes him sandwiches cut diagonally. or into puzzles. with traps) and sans sometimes asks her to get specific things from the store, like the mini pizzas.
another clue, speaking of mini pizzas, is that while she bought them FOR him, they actually ended up eating them while drinking together, where she got wine drunk and started throwing them at his head like frisbees, LOL.
let's see... oh there's her alarm clock dialogue too. it's more up to interpretation than the Q&A one, but all the stuff about sans being "terrible in the wintertime" and him standing outside in the cold to prank her and toriel going "i should pour hot water on him every time he comes back in the house". as well as the way he just barges into her monologue about life at home and it's completely unquestioned. it all makes a lot of sense if you start from the assumption that they're already living together. as opposed to alphys, undyne and asgore who explicitly came over to visit them for the gyftmas party.
overall, i think toby kept it vague enough so everyone could enjoy it. because on one hand you've got the jokes and hints in both games about toriel "befriending" sans while asgore still pines after her, but on the other, sans also works really well as the kind of character you just... don't ship with anyone, y'know? and toby HAS joked about it too re: "my favorite pairing is sans/no one".
but yeah, i think the implications here is that she moves in with the bros on the surface. and so does frisk depending on whether you chose for them to stay with her or not.

Toriel for the ask game
Sexuality Headcanon: Aromantic bisexual. It's just so incredibly rare that we get a female character (let alone of her age) for whom being single isn't treated as something she should be ashamed about. She's not single because she's undesirable (both Asgore and Alphys are into her), and she's not angsting over how she's getting too old to POSSIBLY find a partner. She suffers from loneliness, but it's not a romantic partner she obsesses over, it's her trauma over the loss of her children, and her friendship with Sans is just. They both give off utterly MASSIVE aro vibes, okay? You cannot convince me that those two AREN'T aro. (I mean, they're not canonically aro, but they're not canonically allo either. So it's impossible to convince me they're Definitely Canonically Romantic.)
Anyways! Aro Toriel hell yeah.
Gender Headcanon: You know that feeling where you're genderless in an autistic way? Where your gender and sexuality and autism are all tangled up in a nebulous ball? And you eventually determine that gender is just a collection of things that make you comfortable, and so if liking being called 'she' and baking pies and wearing dresses and having a feminine name means others call you a woman, then you guess you're a woman, but you don't have an especially strong innate sense of it? Yeah.
A ship I have with said character: Asgoriel but fucked up and tragic. I don't want them happy and fluffy before their divorce. I don't want them tearfully apologizing to each other. I don't want baby goat children. I want them leaving CLAW MARKS in each other. I want them missing what they used to have so badly, but their experiences have shaped them so much that they will NEVER have the relationship they once did. They can try, but there is always a hollow, hurting space, and it just feels like an elaborate performance. They need to try and fail to figure out something new that does work--preferrably with lots of non-romantic friendships to lean on, rather than expecting 'a new family!' or 'rekindling the old relationship!' will fix things.
That said. I think Muffet and Toriel has some unexplored potential. They have common ground in baking, they're both the pragmatic types who are driven by their own ideals (moral integrity and family for Toriel, money and spiderkind's prosperity for Muffet), but their contradictory opinions over the human makes it Really Spicy. Come, imagine with me, some kind of noir AU where Toriel is a divorced PI and Muffet is a classy jewel thief perhaps--
A BROTP I have with said character: Sans and Toriel. Need I say any more?
A NOTP I have with said character: Asgoriel. Yes I also called it an OTP. Alas, there are too many Asgoriel fanfics and AUs that I just Do Not Like. Don't spend enough time on their incredibly messy relationship and Problems and Trauma for my taste. Makes the getting back together too easy.
A random headcanon: She was the original Captain of the Royal Guard and oversaw the construction of puzzles and defenses when monsterkind originally populated just Home!!
General Opinion over said character: She's pretty neat and it's sad everyone just goes 'Goat Mom!' and moves on. It's even sadder that all the Toriel-centric fics and AUs are shipping fics. Where's my multiversal epic where instead of Sans going after a kidnapped Frisk, it's Toriel going after them. Or a kidnapped Sans. Or something.

My silly little blog that will definitely not make me cringe when I look back at this in 5 years!
KFC Gang is a fanmade trio, made of the 3 protagonists from Toby Fox's hit games UNDERTALE and deltarune. This Ask blog mixes what could happen if they merged into 1 universe!

As this is my first time making an ask blog, of course I'm not the best at it. There are some things I failed on my part to tell you guys some important things, and some general disclaimers so below is some things you should know before you start asking some stuff.

Routes
Frisk and Chara never went down the Genocide route. They only played through pacifist, then was taken to the combined universe.
I do want Frisk and Chara to know what happened if they did kill everyone eventually, right now I just want to make this a silly ask blog for now, I'll add some lore implications down the line when I feel like it but right now, it's just shits and giggles.
As for Kris, also no weird route.
Pronouns
KFC goes by They/Them. I don't care. If you're one of the people that say "He/She goes by that because it's a self insert" you're the problem in this community.
Absolutely, nobody knows that the SOUL is possessing KFC.
Kris has been going by They/Them since (from what I can tell) before Kris was friends with Noelle.
Frisk, even after their name is finally known, is still being called by They/Them
Chara is called by They/Them regardless of their name you chose for them.
Ships
In terms of shipping, yes. However, Frisk, Chara, and Kris will not be shipped together because they are siblings, regardless of biological or adoptive reasons.

My Undertale self insert is Shelby! Her intro post is here. I recommend reading it before the responses below.
📝: How would your story in canon go? How would you influence the events of the original story?
Shelby has influence on the story but none of it really changes how things happen in the game, it’s more like she just adds onto and compliments what’s already there. She’ll make comments on things, talk after cutscenes, etc. She even has some impact gameplay-wise! While she doesn’t battle with Frisk(/the player), she can carry extra items for them.
🤪: What is your trait that fanon would exaggerate?
Not a specific trait but I think (like a few other characters) she would be infantilized. This is for a few reasons:
Assuming she’s a child (she wears a striped sweatshirt because every other human in both games so far has been seen wearing one, but there’s an association with striped clothes and children because of characters like Asriel and Monster Kid)
She has to pretend to not know things at times as to not reveal she’s a monster but I can see people just labeling her as stupid.
She has autism (in-game it wouldn’t be said directly but the coding would be heavy)
🏷️: What is you and your f/o’s ship name?
Making these up on the spot based on classic UT ship names aka Combining Them. It was hard trying to make combos while keeping Grillby in mind since they both end in by.

Hey, this is all my personal opinion and if you ship any of these then good for you its your opinion as well and no matter how badly I'll rate these ships please don't let this stop you of shipping it :)
Plus no AUs included for I am not an AU fanatic. Anywho, let the ratings begin!
Frans, Frisk x Sans: Ah yes, the most popular of the fandom and probably more adored than Alphyne... Now my ranking is an 2/10. My reason? First Frisk is an child, its been hinted alot in the game, their sprite and their official art already looks child like. Sans is somewhere around his 30s and its already weird enough... And aging them up to ship them with Sans??? No thank you please. And plus it isn't the worst that I've seen in this fandom so good for you Frans.
Chans, Chara x Sans: Same reason as Frans 2/10
Papyryne, Papyrus x Undyne: Their friends guys, FRIENDS. Its kinda cute I gotta admit but really their just good friends nothing more than that. 3/10
Muffet x Grillby ( idk their ship name ) I see the concept but won't Grillby might accidently burn the spiders? 5/10
Grillby x Sans ( also dont know their ship name ) I like the concept and it does makes sense to me. 6/10
Charisk, Chara x Frisk: I do believe in the narra chara theory buuut I really see them as friends and really I don't feel anything about them being together.. Its really a no. 3/10
Charsriel, Chara x Asriel: I KNOW THEIR ADOPTED BUT NO, JUST NO. TOMATO POTATO SIBILINGS ARE SIBLINGS DINGUS. 0/10
Asgoriel, Asgore x Toriel: I used to ship them together but now I'm kinda iffy since Toriel has her boundaries and I respect that. If they will have some romantic interactions or if she's ok with him then hell yeah I'll ship them but for now its a no. 5/10
Soriel, Sans x Toriel: Controversial opinion, but I kinda like it y'know. Sans was there for her when she needed it the most, their pun buddies and at one of the neutral endings they became roommates so thats cute. I personally see them as friends but its a cute ship. 7/10
Grillster Grillby x Gaster: uhhh they never met but, the fanfics are good and I really like seeing them interacting with each other y'know. but still 2/10
Papyton, Papyrus x Mettaton: Like the concept but no 4/10
Blookyton, Nabstablook x Mettaton: They might be cousins just saying... 0/10
Friskriel, Frisk x Asriel: I know they saved him in pacifist but no. 2/10
The royal guards, 01 and 02: Their seriously underrated like why does nobody talk about these two??? WHY????? 100/10

I really liked Toriel/Sans back in the day, and still reblog it from time to time. They're losers and I think that's funny. Step-Dunkle Sans for the win

ACTUALLY though Papyrus/Frisk was my OG Papyrus ship, while everyone else was all about Frans and Papyton, I was on the Stupid Little Guys train. I ADORE them. Frisk didn't want their Gender so they gave it to Papyrus
Does liking Alphys/Undyne even need to be stated at this point? It's like the default of Undertale shipping. They're cute. Good for them.
Alphys/Madds/Undyne is INCREDIBLY cute though I hope she gets pulled into the Alphyne polycule so badly she is their little meow meow
There was like a week of my life where I got super hard obsessed with Asgore/Mettaton spesifically because of one artist who drew the thottiest Mettaton with a Biggest little guy Asgore I'd ever seen and I'm still on that. Mettaton deserves to be a Sugar Baby to the King of Monsters
Chara/Asriel is extremely cute they are best friends they are siblings they are partners they kiss and snuggle and one day they'll rule the underground together and Chara is convinced they don't deserve Asriel
I think Asgore/Chara would be a very cute ship but there's probably no content for it. I just think on it sometimes.
Frisk/Chara Queerplatonic body sharers post game is very good to me. I've also seen an AU where Frisk gives up their soul for Asriel to come back and they share a body and I think the three of them should vibe like that.
Frisk/Monster Kid is always appreciated in this house we love Monster Kid content in this house
On that note I love you artists who make the briefly mentioned Suzy an Undertale version of DR's Susie and have her hang out with Frisk. They are buddies and I love them so much.
Deltarune Ships
Kris/Berdly is the only one that actually hard matters to me I love them I love them so much they are gaymers. Especially love it with Transfemme Berdly for no other reason than I love her my baby girl
Kris/Spamton is!!!! So good!!! I love Spamton a little freak an old man who's really weird about this teenager he just met he makes them so uncomfortable I think it's hysterical
Kris/Ralsei while we're on the train is incredibly cute and another instance of a Darkner being very Unnormal about Kris in a way that makes them uncomfortable. Ralsei infantalizes Kris while also putting them on such a high pedestal. Good uncomfy Yandere content
Another probably doesn't need to be said but I think Susie/Noelle is pretty alright. My opinion on it is very same as Alphyne it's fine it's canon gays and it's cute. No complaints from me
Lancer/Susie/Noelle though?? Incredible. Top tier. Susie will go nowhere without her little guy Lancer, and Noelle thinks he's cute as can be and incredibly silly. Is he involved romantically? Unclear but he sure is there
Roulxs Kaard/Spade King was very juicy back when we only had chapter one. The last bit of porn I witnessed before Tumblr fully closed it's doors was some nasty shit of the two of them. RIP the OP of that work they got hard banned four separate times.
Roulxs/Queen has sense filled the Roulxs Kaard malewife shaped hole in my heart however and it is so much funnier than whatever he and Spade King had going on. Queen talks about him like how we all talk about Spamton and I think that's glorious

Are Sweep Cap'n Cakes a polycule? Someone said they were brothers and I cannot remember who or if it was canon. I like them as a polycule. They kiss on the mouth

Spamton/Addisons any Addison or all Addison I love Spam/Addi ships a lot because it can't be sweet they left Spamton homeless and alone in the streets. The good ol days only kinda ship.

Undertale ships: just hear me out
I understand that people have ships they like involving Undertale's main characters... even if they're extremely questionable ones. You know the ones I'm talking about. However, there is a very small amount of them that are actually canon. I know you're gonna try and counter me by bringing up "platonic ships", and to be honest, THOSE particular ships I don't mind, as long as they're strictly platonic. Sans and Papyrus, for example... they're brothers, so obviously they'd be good platonic friends, even if they don't always get along...
Regardless, my point is that out of the many Undertale ships, only a select few of them are canon. Things like Papyton is just Papyrus being a fan of Mettaton's show. There's probably a dozen fangirls of Mettaton anyway. For Soriel, Deltarune and Undertale don't necessarily apply to each other, so what Sans said in Deltarune isn't canon in Undertale. Also it's very likely that he used "befriend" in the literal sense of platonic friendship. As for Asgoriel... they divorced, so I don't see a sign of that ship becoming canon. And do NOT get me started on any ships involving Frisk, Chara or Asriel. They're KIDS! They're MINORS!
Oh yeah, and there's also ships like Fontcest, Charisk, etc... name ONE time that Undertale promoted inc*st. Those ships just make me wanna throw up sometimes.
Anyway, there's a bunch of platonic ships that actually make sense, given Undertale's storyline and overall theme, plus one of the VERY few ships that's actually canon is Alphys x Undyne, as that was actually confirmed in the game (as well as Dogamy x Dogaressa, if we're counting minibosses).

I have the urge to tell everyone about my absolutely deranged sonic and undertale headcanons, ships etc from when I was like 10 or 11.
I would like to preface this with the fact that I did not know what pedophilia was until I was 12 (it does go down that path, unfortunately).
SONIC
there are a lot of things to say and I'm scared to say all of them. I was and still am a multishipper, so here are a few of the things I shipped:
Amy x Cream
Cream x Tails
Tails x Sonic
Sonic x Knuckles (easily the least devious one on the list)
for Amy x Cream, I could only imagine them being aged up, tbh. I made them cottagecore lesbians before I even knew that was a thing.
Cream x Tails was only because they were my 2 favourite characters at the time. Tails has always been my favourite and Amy my second favourite, however, at this time, I prefered Cream. why? because in sonic dash, when you do the weird swiping animation, Cream had confetti. that's literally it. sidenote: the first time I saw fetish art on the internet, it was either with this ship or with undertale, I can't remember which came first.
I don't wanna talk about Tails x Sonic, but if I must, I will. ok, so, I headcanoned Tails as trans simply so that he could be pregnant and I could have my OC Kate the Fox be Tails and Sonic's daughter. she looked exactly like tails if you couldn't draw very well and gave him long eyelashes.
I have nothing to say for Sonic x Knuckles, that one's honestly still ok in my eyes.
UNDERTALE
undertale is something that will always haunt me in everything that I do. don't get me wrong, I love undertale, it's one of my favourite games, but this is why I say that it haunts me. also, I'd like to note that everything I knew about undertale at this point was from comic dubs and those 'undertale as vines' compilations.
here are just a few of my ships (easily way more tame than my sonic ships):
Pafriskus (Papyrus x Frisk).
Sans x hotdog (joke)
Alphys x anime poster (completely genuine and real)
Undyne x Alphys
One sided Asgore x Toriel
Papyrus x spaghetti (another joke)
this is why I'm pretty sure my undertale phase came after the sonic phase where I shipped all of those... questionable ships. those are very clearly way more fandom-like, so I was probably actually a frequent user of the internet by that point.
I don't think I need to get into the ins and outs of every ship, most of them are either canon or crackship, but I will explain pafriskus and alphanime poster.
pafriskus is probably only because I had a crush on Papyrus and saw myself through Frisk. I don't think I would have shipped it if Frisk was your friend or something. as for alphanime poster, I have no idea.

Ah! Thank you for the ask dear heart! Let's see...
Of course I have fics that are still deep in my drafts, and I also have a few unfinished fics currently published ON Ao3.
I don't really regret not publishing certain fics because it's not really a matter of if more than it is a matter of when. A few of these old ideas just need way more fleshing out and just aren't ready for the limelight.
And that "not if but when" mindset is carried over to my unfinished fics as well, like Baby Face and YWIW.
They'll eventually be completed. (Although tbh, I'm not so sure about ywiw now, may have to go and really take a good long look at that one and the goals I want to achieve with it. For YWIW, I guess I regret some of the choices I made with Frisk's character arc. Like I accidentally walked back on things that I shouldn't have. Sequels are hard, y'all.)

Now for my other UT ships? Hmmmm...
I'm gonna come out the gate swinging and say that I, first and foremost do not ship Asgore and Toriel. I think their dynamic is more interesting as a divorced couple. Boom. That'll stir the pot some.
(I have a lot of weird UT ships tbh)
Now, moving on to what I actually ship:
Asriel x Papyrus / Papsriel / Boneblossom
This stems more from how I wrote their dynamic in wdyw part 4 + ywiw. See, when Frisk and Sans are off doing hard main character work, Papyrus and Asriel were alone together a lot, working through both of their collective daddy issues together (their fathers were big ole villains and they were consoling each other about their relationships with their fathers, it was actually very sweet) Ergo, I began to ship.
But also, if you look at the game, there are instances of Asriel and Papyrus befriending, and Asriel manipulating him, or growing fond of Papyrus in his own way as Flowey. Yeah there's the problem of "well technically Asriel is a child!" Which like... Okay, he's also dead and immortal at the same time. In wdyw he died at an older age so... 🤷🏻♀️ It depends on where you take the story. I could also just ship them platonically. So yeah!
Undyne x Alphys / Alphyne
This one is obvious. They're canon. They're beautiful. I love gay people. I love lesbians. I am a gay people. I am a lesbian. I love them.
Also, low-key, I also just like to explore more of their dynamic than just lovey dovey sapphic stuff. The highs and the lows. And they're perfect to do that with.
Nick x Sans / Nicecream Guy x Sans
This one is unorthodox, but it's because of Baby Face. They're so gay in that fic like it's unbelievable. If not Sans, then definitely Nick. Like they've definitely explored each other's bodies at least once.
Also in wdyw, they have a more complex, complicated friendship since they're more like long lost friends, and the whole "you betrayed our ideals by joining Asgore's military" and Nick "you joined a rebellion that will never win, you've doomed yourself to martyrdom." Sans saving Nick from prison & the purge, ugh, they're so complex, I love em!
Nick is definitely gay. I know we were pushing for Alick but honestly... That boy is gay. And I really believe that. I think the only better pairing for him would be Napstablook, or... And I guess I'll concede to years of shipping before me... Burgerpants/Bryan. Because Bryan has that like, newly joined rebellion, starry eyes, just found out his crush was brutally murdered by one of Muffet's assassins, etc, and then there's Nick, shining hero of the revolution. I think it could work really well.
Muffet x Toriel / Muffriel / Spiderscotch
Bro even the name screams lesbian, wtf? This is like Everlark's alternative ship name being peenis.
BRO THEY LIVE IN THE RUINS TOGETHER, MUFFET SET UP SHOP IN THE RUINS. TORIEL BAKES PIES AND MUFFET BAKES FUCKED UP SPIDER DONUTS. THEY'RE A MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN. (And I'm purely talking about classic, but who's to say that wdyw Muffet wasn't sneaking into the queen's chambers after killing her own husband and poisoning Toriel's daughter right under her nose? UGH THE DRAMA!!!!)
Ugh, I love my gay ships.
Anyway, Toriel is the sweet, albeit very flawed, old money, cottage core wife, and Muffet is the manipulative, borderline Machiavellian, macabre, new money, goth wife and they're PERFECT FOR EACH OTHER. I've never been more serious in my life.
Anyway, those are my UT ships that are not Frans. Don't come for me, I know they're unconventional (except for Alphyne) but I love them each dearly.

The one thing I didn't like about AFAC was how merciless Sans. Usually that wouldn't bother me that much but since they never really touched upon it and just focused on his crush on Toriel, it seemed like a missed opportunity. Especially when he threatened Chara after they were redeemed. So I'm glad that your already showing a more merciful side with Papyrus not dunking them in genocide when Chara spared. I think it was a great way to show a connection with UT Papyrus and US Papyrus, showing that he still thinks everyone can be better if they just try. Great job, and can't wait to see more!
Well, it's not like afac is over yet. They probably will go back and resolve those feelings. Because I don't think it can be left like this. But also remember: that Chara also possessed Sans and tried to use his body to hurt his loved ones. It's a little more personal for him. And it's not like he saw the redemption scene the askers saw. It's really hard for him to trust them just with a snap of his fingers. I think they will have to really prove themselves.
That said, thank you! Going in to this, I really thought it was important that Papyrus still has certain standards. It's hard, doing a swap and trying to maintain important aspects of the original personalities. But I think it can be done. I will at least try. Good to see that it's paying off.
Goldy: (WARNING, TEXT WALL)
Holy hell, I’m glad this ask came. Yeah, we all know how messed up the whole Dreemurr Saga is, but Sans doesn’t fully grasp the stakes here, and like it or not, he is, to borrow Breaking Bad’s terminology, “In the Game,” and has been since he got with Toriel. He may be justified in his distrust of Chara, but at the same time, that doesn’t change the fact that everything he says and does from this point onwards is going to have an effect on the Dreemurrs as a whole.
For example, here, in Growthspurt, (I absolutely recommend reading, the only real flaw is yet another evil Chara [tm]) we see the kind of potential drama where Asriel confessed to his murder spree after Toriel refused to budge from her judgmental stance on Asgore, pointing out that if there’s no chance of redemption for Asgore, then there’s no way in hell he could ever move forward, forcing Toriel to realize that she was indirectly hurting her son through her aggression towards Asgore.
That same collateral damage could happen with Sans and Chara in AFAC, as well as anyone being judgmental towards Frisk here in ACAF down the line. I’ve also noticed that in AFAC, Asriel’s murder spree as Flowey, which was much much worse than the Geno Run or anything Chara did after in AFAC, has been seemingly handwaved or otherwise sidelined, at least for the time being... While Chara is getting the evil eye from Sans. Odd, and extremely so, considering Flowey and Sans were mortal enemies.
Point is, I can see Asriel getting really pissed at Sans and Toriel about this double-standard. And it IS a double-standard. Heck, if he’s been told “all is forgiven,” then it’ll be even worse since that’ll just look like a big fat lie in retrospect. Thus, we’d have Sans being the villain (at least in part) despite having his feelings be justified. Worst case scenario, Asriel could lash out in a way that makes things worse, or the Soriel Ship could even be sunk. Now, I don’t see the worst happening with the Askers around, but if all perspectives aren’t considered, there could very well be a reckoning and SOME kind of point of no return being crossed.
TLDR: From what I can see, Sans is in over his head on this one, and just because you have justified feelings of anger and distrust towards someone, that doesn’t stop you from being the bad guy, or from needing course correction yourself.

Toby Fox managed to make me feel more guilty with Deltarune than with Undertale
Because sure in Undertale you feel guilty for Sans whenever you reset, for not being able to save Asriel and for everyone if you do the Genocide Run. But I never resetted (IT'S STUPID I KNOW BUUUT...) nor did the Genocide Run, and as sad as it is for Asriel it is in-scenario, it's nothing you could or could not do, plus there is a tad bit of hope about him
In Deltarune however ? Unlike in Undertale where you ARE Frisk and whenever you do something good the scenario has it be Frisk's decision unlike Chara's bad decisions (the mirror scene near the end, Pacifist Route "Despite everything it's still you", Genocide run "It's me", "me" being Chara who was the "narrator" all along and successfully possessed you if you killed everyone), in Deltarune you POSSESS Kris. Whether you do the Pacifist Route, Neutral Route or Snowgrave Route, you still possess that kid. Whatever they do, it is almost never their decision but yours. And they suffer from it, it is a major plot point of the chapters so far. It is implied they don't act like people knew them to, which is normal since you are puppetering them. Frisk is meant to be an insert, Kris is a normal character FORCED to be an insert
YOU have them walk. YOU have them talk. YOU have them Act. YOU have them Fight. YOU have them manipulate Noelle (and if so she will be frightened that their voice is no longer the same). YOU have them establish relationships. YOU have them collect items, sell, buy etc.
They don't necessarily want that big adventure. They may not even like Ralsei, Noelle or Lancer but you have them be friends anyway, you have not eaten the big pie bevause YOU find it too big. You choose their life as if their pre-possession life (since it is implied it is all because he did occult with Catti) was not bad enough for them, with "adoptive child who is too different" syndrome parents divorcing and golden child brother away they both miss and are jealous of. And now that's the cherry on top of their problem. They "accept" it because they know thay without you, they would DIE since after all a video game character has purpose only if played. They don't want to be a video game character but they also know that now that they are on they also need you to survive even if they hate you for having them do things they do not want because you want to. Whenever they rip off their soul to gain a big of freedom, like eating that pie they wanted YOU did not want, you see they suffer, shuffling painfully and breathing hoarsely, looking zombie-like. And the end of the Spamton NEO fight is a good parralel since when finally he is free from his strings it is just what "kills" him, making him inanimate since a doll can't move without strings. And Kris knows that since whatever you have them reply to Susie's and Ralsei's questions right after they are worried and note that Kris is yelling in fear. Kris knows that if they want to be free from you they will also doe and can't be free too long
I even was tempted during my gameplay to ship them with Ralsei, I found it absolutely adorable how Ralsei seemed to crush on them so the big shipper I am had Kris reply his questions with shippy stuff like "I feel the same", "hug him" and "Ralsei" when Susie asks you who you would want a ferri wheel tour with, like any of you would do during classical RPGs where you decide the outcome. Except even THERE the game had me guilty since apparently, Kris does NOT want that since when you reply Ralsei or Noelle they hesitate as if they didn't want to say it but you forced them to, wheras if you select Susie they reply with assurance (Susie is a harem anime protagonist lmao). So even for that cute, innocent moment you are actually forcing them into a relationship they don't want vut they are forced to obey you and that's awfullt guilt-tripping when you realize afterward
The only way for them to be free is when they rip off their soul which is painful or when you coincidently have them do something they do (they are so happy to find the moss because they weirdly love moss as much as pie), or when Susie, who is the only character bossing them around whether you agree or not instead of asking them things you reply to instead (probably why they really like her) have you do something (when you both eat the moss together). They also have a tad say in your decision after all since the motto of Deltarune is the contrary of Undertale : "Your choices don't matter". Even if you have Kris try the Massacre Route and "kill" Darkners, unlike Undertale they DON'T die because Kris doesn't want to and resists the best they can. However in the 2nd chapter, when you realize that Noelle's choices do matter and have her manipulated until she becomes a killing machine instead of Kris, it is visibly you talking through Kris' mouth with your own voice whispering her to proceed. According to her Kris' real voice at this moment will utter "help". You found a way to have them even more miserable because you WANT your gameplay the way you want, all because to Kris' POV you got petty "ah so you resist me ? My choices don't matter ? Alright then what about her ?~" and they can't do anything and now Noelle fears you and Berdly is dead and they all think it's because of Kris
With Deltarune, Toby Fox has you torment a middle schooler and guilt trips you whatever you do because whatever you do you are using them like an unwilling puppet, and the only way for you to leave them alone would be not playing the game, yet of course we do because this is what games are for so because "games are for that" they will forever be tormented
And that's sicko genius

I don't know if your requests are open, but if they are open, then can I have get how the main characters of UT help the human (who got to them) to confess their feelings to Grillby. He is a very quiet monster, so human isn't very confident in themselves and doesn't know how to approach him correctly. Also sorry for my bad English...
Undertale Sans - He has a magic trick in his pocket for you. He gives you a paper and ask you to go to Grillby and say that you want to pay for this. But you can't look at the paper or the charm will not work. You are trusting him blindly and goes to Grillby. Ah, yes, Grillby is smiling, that's improvment. But now you owe him almost 50K G. Sans gave you his tab. You're welcome.
Undertale Papyrus - It's fine, friend. He is a master at the dating thing. One of the best way to get close is to go on a datetrip. He knows the best place : the pool. Papyrus loves the pool. He loves the pool so much he insists to come with you two. He loves the pool so much he even forgets Grillby is made of fire ! It's not really helpful.
Undertale Toriel - Classic ways, darling. A box of chocolate, some flowers, nice poetry... You bought flowers and chocolate, and write poetry. When you give everything to Grillby, he's flushing so hard everything is burning. Like... Literally burning.
Undertale Asgore - Let him do all the work. You try to tell Asgore it's not a good idea, but he's not listening to you. You want to cry when he says very seriously in front of everyone in his pub : "this is Y/N. They are madly in love with you but are too shy to ask you on a date". Grillby is very embarrassed too. That's not a great start, but it's some sort of start, i guess.
Undertale Undyne - Are you really asking her for advice ? Did you see how she threw Alphys in a bin for their first official date or something ? She yells at you to supplex your love one while saying to him what you think of him. What could possibly go wrong.
Undertale Alphys - You can't understand a word she's saying. Alphys is fangirling right now. She ships you very hard with Grillby. She can't help, she needs to write fanfiction. LIKE NOW.
Undertale Frisk - ... *FLIRT. It's so convincing you are blushing right now. How could you not think of that in the first place ?
Undertale Chara - "Well just go and tell him. And if he doesn't want to, threat to kill him or something." Of course. Thank you Chara.
Undertale Mettaton - Very easy. You go on a trip in the forest, but it's actually Hunger Games. You two will have to survive lots of people (with MTT face, only 550 g in the shop) who wants to kill you with weapons (with MTT face's sticker on it, only 1200 g in the shop). By surviving all this, you will get so close you'll have to propose him (in front of the camera, for the views). Let him do this. He is very good at killing people in arenas. You thanks Mettaton and leaves. You don't know how you'll explain Grillby he is engaged in Hunger Games. Good luck.
Undertale Gaster - "Sorry, I thought you knew. Grillby is already taken." Well, it's partially true. But Gaster doesn't want you near HIS crush, so go date Sans or something instead.
Undertale Muffet - "Eeeeew... Gross." Yeah, you figure asking her main rival might not be a good idea.
Undertale Burgerpants - "Pay the guy some holidays. And if he doesn't want it, pay me some holidays. Oh god, please let me have a break from this place." Burgerpants starts crying.

You know, I wanna say something... To make things clear: yes, I do ship frans, but now it's kinda one concrete Sans with one concrete Frisk from one concrete fanfiction. It doesn't mean I ship and I'm gonna draw any Sans with any Frisk. I like SoL frans cause the characters are so different from what they are in the original game and still so good that I couldn't help but ship it. Also my headcanon is that Sans here is kinda "Gomez Addams"-type, you know? I mean his love to Frisk is so sincere and tender, and he wants all the best for her?? And when I drew his humanization where he's looking at Frisk I thought I'd die cause he even looks like Gomez, aaa...
About ut!Sans and ut!Frisk... You know, even though I read some comics and I love some other people's art, I still see them more as friends. That doesn't mean they don't love each other, they do! Even more than some couples... Their relationship is so warm, they're always here to help and comfort each other, together they feel like... Feel like home, I guess. And this will never change, doesn't matter if Frisk is a kid, a young woman or an old lady.
And also I very appreciate father figure Sans! I have some ideas that I haven't drawn yet but I hope I will~

The character you never expected to love so much
Imelda and Rosa. For the former because I legit thought she was going to be a main antagonist (she kinda was, at first) but then La Llorona blew my socks off. She is officially my Queen. Also because she is a top tier non-anime tsundere. Rosa, on the other hand, is due to me developing her more as a character in my writing. I've always liked the image of a super reliable smart cookie and that's how I see her.
Kanan. At first I thought her voice was a bit weird but the more I watch the anime and the more I play the game, the more I come to love her.
Papyrus. I thought he was going to be this snobbish character but I was proven wrong. His antiques and chemistry with Sans are just so fun to watch onscreen and his theme, Bonetrousle is easily one of my favourite tracks in the game!
The character you relate to the most
When it comes to Coco, I can't really pick just one character because I relate to all of them in different ways, safe for Ernesto. Like Héctor, I tend to not have a plan and just wing it most of the time. Like Miguel, I also have a problem with my passion and my family because not everyone supports me my father often asks me when I will stop drawing and wants me to enter an office job instead or something idk. Like Elena and Imelda, despite me having good intentions I do have the tendency to hurt those around me if I get too strict.
Hanamaru and Ruby both speak to me on a spiritual level. Much like the former, sometimes I think I'm better off backstage (and also because we both like to eat) but like the latter I want to do something big despite me being rather shy and anxious at the mere thought of me being in the spotlight.
I think I can relate to Sans a lot. I like puns and I would rather do the minimum amount of effort to do something. But I also relate to Frisk because there will be times that I have no idea what I'm doing college but I'm just going to stay determined and wing it.
The character you'd slap
Ernesto de La Cruz. YOU COULD HAVE HAD IT ALL BUT YOU HAD TO BE DRAMATIC. Oh and maybe Gustavo too but mOSTLY ERNESTO

A character you liked at first but don’t anymore didn’t think of much at first but grew on you as time goes on:
Papá Julio. At first I honestly was rather indifferent towards him. But the backstage fight scene changed everything. I mean, how my man can fight! He basically makes use of his size to kick a bodyguard twice his size and probably half his age and succeeded. That is arguably one of the most badass moments in Disney history, hands down.
Riko. At first I didn't think much of her but then the more I watch the anime the more I realize... she is such a dork. I fricking love her and her reactions to basically everything the other members say. I like that despite her being a Cool girl, she can also do silly things like leaping off from Chika's balcony to her own balcony because who does that and her diamond mouth like why is she so cute.
Asgore. I wasn't a big fan of him prior to playing the game but then I watched a playthrough before buying the game and I fell in love with his theme and just his story overall. He's such a tragic character and I only want the best for him, even if it means living without his wife.
Three OTPs
Imector and basically every single canon ship in the movie plus Marrosa and Rafita.
Aqours and happiness because my girls deserve the best (I don't ship anyone in the franchise but I do like the chemistry between Kanan and Mari)
Soriel! This ship is actually the very thing that got me into the game.
