#this is such a niche gripe i guess idk its why it's in the tags#but i really get so annoyed by how a lot of this fandom acts like they know everything about her especially like where she goes#and what she does in her free time because they think they KNOW about everything but#all you know is what she chooses to show you like specifically paps like...... she calls them. all celebs do. 99.999999% of the time#these days it's how that industry works which i KNOW for a fact but like don't take my word for it if you don't believe me fine#but it's how it is and i can tell you that from professional experience but also like#the amount of friends and people i know who've seen her places all over the city for YEARS now#and there are no pap photos of her in those places nor did anyone know she went to that building/restaurant/bar/event#there are a feeeeeew places in the city which are celeb hotspots and the paps might skulk around there but that's cuz#they are known spots for that and waiters and staff tip them off for profit shares#like i know someone who saw her literally last night at a restaurant#there are no photos of her there and no paps outside#like if you think she doesn't leave the house or go somewhere without you knowing cuz you think she's papped everywhere...#thats just simply not true lol couldn't be FURTHER from true#she goes so many places and does so many things that you just don't know about. it's VERY easy to live a private life in the city#EVEN THIS WEEK she's gone more places than you've seen her getting papped at cuz i know people who've seen her!#i can't tell you the amount of famous people i've come across in these situations and the press and social media were none the wiser#people i've sat next to at a crowded brunch counter or people walking their dog or taking their kid for a bike ride like.... ALL THE TIME#famous people love new york cuz new yorkers don't bother them and they can live in relative obscurity#idk what i'm getting at i guess this weirdness like I AM GONNA SHUT DOWN ANYTHING THAT I DONT HAVE PROOF OF#is so deranged to me because...... you only have ~proof~ of like 10% of her life#so the other 90% of it didn't happen cuz.... you a blogger on the internet don't have photographic evidence of it????#IS THAT NOT THE MOST INSANE THING TO SAY????#idk really weird that people just think they know her and shut down any one who poses something that doesn't fit into their#frankensteined version of her that they made out of a bunch of paparazzi photos and flight trackers and deuxmoi posts taped together#as if THATS somehow MORE sane and a more realized person#idk if i'm making sense i'm annoyed whatever whatEVERRRRR

ok wait what’s your hot take on r*ta o*a being good for him! i have heard ppl say she’s hella problematic but i don’t know specifically why ?? hit us w ur thoughts pls
I'm putting this under a readmore because I absolutely refuse to force people to read r*ta o*a discourse against their will. but the tl;dr version of this is: yes, she's an insufferable person. yes, I think he's happy with her. yes, I have recently become very parasocial. yes, this is embarrassing.
Firstly tbh I think 'problematic' is a rough term, but in short, yeah, rita (we're on a first name basis now apparently) has a long history of career success based on blackfishing. She also broke lockdown rules in Nov 2020 by paying a restaurant £5k not to report her so she could have her 30th birthday (lol. except it's not funny is it it's serious). People also find her general career annoying but honestly I don't think there's anything wrong with doing whatever you can to be in front of the camera because, like, that's her job, so let's set that aside.
I unfortunately was susceptible to the Rita Ora propaganda when this interview came out in the Independent and started to kinda...like her. In the way you like your friend's messy cousin whose drama brings joy into your life. It helps that I am obsessed with her sister Elena, who seems to be her manager, handler, PR, publicist, and best friend all wrapped into one and is literally doing that better than like...the entirety of the Marvel team. "Why is Rita Ora here what is she even famous for" IT WAS ELENA. I would also bet money it was Elena who organised the damage control Independent interview and honestly, props. Excellent mopping up after the Covid fiasco. I want to study her in a lab etc.
It really confused people when Taika and Rita started dating (late Feb 2021, if you want to know the timeline so you don't have to be crazy like me and investigate it), but my hot take is actually that this is totally unsurprising and makes sense wrt what we know about both of them & their personal lives. Now THIS is when it gets really parasocial. You asked.
They have a similar group of friends - they were friends for 4 years before "complicating things" (absolutely deranged way of putting it, Taika, thank you) - and a lot of overlapping circles. They're both loud and ambitious with a tendency to overcompensate for nerves by just getting louder and more annoying, they're both party people who drink and dance and [redacted redacted]. Taika had just gone through his (now officially self-confessed! everyone say thank you Lie Detector video) 2018-2020 mid-life crisis and was filming Love & Thunder. CRUCIALLY, they had similar childhood experiences based around culture shock and forced assimilation - if you're reading this you probs know about Taika's experiences, but the tldr of the Oras is that they fled Former Yugoslavia just before the war and moved to London. Both Elena and Rita (first name basis here is killing meeee btw) have talked about the difficulty they had in adjusting (though Rita was just a baby). The Ora management team and inner circle still to this day consists mostly of the children of fellow refugees who moved to London at the same time and are childhood friends of the sisters. Elena stepped into the management role at 18 because their parents didn't have a good enough grasp of English to keep Rita safe in the industry. SO: broadly familiar childhood experiences on both sides, plus a tendency to keep close to friends and people you trust, etc etc.
In terms of them being good together - I literally don't know these people, obviously, I've just been obsessed for two months so I have a disturbing amount of knowledge in terms of what they choose to show us. In short: they seem happy. They seem to want to do similar things - go to shows, be papped, go to parties, get shit-faced, travel, and be domestic. There's this recent picture from the Dior show where she looks so happy it made me physically recoil from the screen.
Rita also talks in the Elena Propaganda Coup interview about how she has been in consistent therapy since she was fifteen because of crippling anxiety and panic attacks, and Taika recently mentioned in the Wired Autocomplete interview that he's now in therapy ("Who is Taika Waititi? Ask my therapist, that's what we're trying to figure out." [everyone who has watched Boy 2010 breathes a sigh of relief]).
FINALLY FINALLY the recent hyperspecific leak to the Mail and the Sun (not linking because I refuse to give them clicks but..) about their probable engagement and low-key wedding reads very much to me like a strategic planting - either because they knew the story was about to leak and wanted to get ahead of the story, or because they were throwing the press a bone in the hopes that they'd be left alone for the actual wedding. ELENA STRIKES AGAIN. The fact that the Mail keeps referring to Taika as "Rita Ora's fiance" (scream....so funny on so many levels) without either team issuing a denial is half a confirmation. Taika did fully dodge the question on This Morning which made me yell bc fuck Philip Schofield but is also NOT A DENIAL. Either way the idea that they're having a tiny wedding at some point in the near future without wanting it on social media spells happiness to me (not that having a big wedding means you aren't in love. then again this is a post about rita ora I'm cancelled already). Rita obviously wants kids and a big family and everything that entails so this was a fairly predictable move for them (predictable if you are me and Zoe @wolfhalls who seem to be psychic when it comes to Rita/Taika moves. What a useless skill). I just think it's cute I guess.
BUT TO SUM UP. Yes she is insufferable. Yes she's definitely privileged and ignorant. Yes the COVID thing was absolutely stupid and feels like a hugely coked up impulsive move to me. But also yes I think the hate she gets online is totally disproportionate and mostly driven by neckbeard men on reddit and whoever the fuck it is who comments on Deuxmoi, and I also think Taika is an insufferable person too so they match! Kidding I luv him. but also. Tune in next time for the great 2016-2018 PA Scandal Timeline. (KIDDING. I will not be doing that. But you get the point). The Rita that exists in my head is my best pal the girls who get it get it the girls who gornt...gornt. Thanks for reading.

Some complete RANDOM ANON comes here to claim to be this that and the other and people take it as gospel...??? - So very right Smart Anon. There is so much wrong with this “supposed ex-PA’s” post I don’t know where to start. But first, let me say this:
JL is probably no angel but is a serious performer (like him or not), a hard worker and maybe a perfectionist. He has high standards and expectations which are hard to meet and maybe sometimes don’t get met. He is easily frustrated and impatient with trivial tasks and things that he perceives waste his time. Ok. If that’s who he is, that’s just who he is and everyone just get the f**k over it or get far away from him bc there is no reason then for you to hang around. He is a serious artist who is at times a sweetheart, a goofball or an asshole but surely is not an 24/7 angel. That’s a given. Whatever.
The adjectives, verbs and adverbs posters choose are done so to paint the drama into the picture they want you to see but don’t often represent the actual circumstance, intent or reality of a situation.
Jared is an entertainer like thousands of others around the world (but maybe not just like some unnamed British actor across the pond who this poster uses as their point of reference) JL does NOT live his life in the places and circumstances most of us do and so what is common practice in his world or profession may not be in yours or mine. That however, does not mean it is wrong, bad or cringy.
Ok, to address some of the ridiculous points made in this hypothetical “former PA of some Brit” ??’s post: Firstly, a vast majority of performers of all sorts specify on their contract riders a brand and quantity of water to be available for appearances and performances. (not necessarily the responsibility of the PA but the venue). Some even require a specific temperature. This is not necessarily “picky” when you consider these requests from singers since tepid or specific temp water is very therapeutic maintenance and prep for optimum vocal performance.
The gardenia/vanilla scent is actually a specific candle that JL likes. Many artists prefer their hotel or performance surroundings to be calm and relaxing. Scented candles, disinfectant sprays or aromatic oils are OFTEN requested in contract riders. Get a grip ex-PA and try getting them on Amazon. It’s just not that hard.
JL “demands” tables in restaurants ?(pretty harsh verb there) or maybe he requests, reserves, asks for, requires… All those verbs mean and imply different things and the Anon has NO CLUE what is in his reality. She was not in any restaurant scenario with him and has never worked for JL. People request all kinds or locations of tables all the time. I know I sometimes do and I am no socialite or diva. I just ASK or reserve a table preference in advance when I can. You know, quiet table in the back for romance or privacy, ocean or Mountain View, table outside, on and on. If you were in the public eye; possibly often followed by paps or trying to have a personal life, you would make these requests too.
“They BETTER cook him what he wants…” or what you crazy ex-PA? Or WHAT? You know absolutely nothing about any such incident. JL is a (loose) vegan/pescatarian. He makes his food preferences known as need be as all diners do these days. No drama there now is there? No, not that YOU actually know of.
If JL ever called his PA from Economy Class to First Class to rub his feet on a commercial flight (or otherwise), I will throw myself off the tallest building I can find when you show me receipts of this. Or, you can STFU with that stupid shit right now and don’t imply that is something JL does without an ounce of evidence.
“He had ONE date arrive via a side door (and) they left separately.” Ok. So ?? Actually, if it was one date it was probably many dates that went that way and with good reason as this protects his (and possibly her) private life which is entirely his business and not yours. It is a shame he feels he has to do this but he is in the good company of many, many entertainers who do this same thing to avoid nasty trolls like many here as well as the attention of unwanted Paps.
Then… And, they “ hooked up later at his place or his hotel” - So, which was it, Miss ex-PA so full of non-information? The reality here is that you again have absolutely no real knowledge of this and don’t have a clue so STFU. Personally I hope he does get to enjoy some private dinners and intimate evenings without prying eyes.
As far as clothes and calling/running to design houses for last minute outfit requests/issues including nail polish, THAT IS YOUR F**KING JOB B**TCH. If you don’t get it right, that should be called out until you do. If you don’t want to do it, go work some routine government work-at-home desk job. These performers are supposed to be looking good in the public eye and it is the PA’s job to help them do just that. So, if you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.
As for JL’s relationship with VK, I assume there was one of some sort but I am not here with any facts just like you Miss ex-PA have no facts! But I will say that IMO, if she presented any condition or ultimatum which he did not want to comply with and she theoretically left over a thing as superficial as appearing as his date at a public event as the breaking point for a serious 6-9 year relationship, she must be one shallow #&%£$, and that, Miss ex-PA, is not love. It may have been there in the past but then at that moment it was clearly gone.
Please. Stop presenting questionable second or third hand hearsay and presenting it as the worst professional personality behavior or transgressions. You Miss ex-PA, have no facts, personal knowledge and clearly lack of appreciation for American performers. Try working for J-Lo ,Gaga. Kanye, Christina A. or an endless list of others. Or, better yet, get out of this line of work, away from JL and quit this blog until you can grow a brain, a backbone and stick to facts !
You do realize it was ME ME ME ME ME ME MEEEEEEEEEEEEE who wrote that "Some complete random anon..." part, right? 🙄
Please for the love of god PLEASE TELL ME YOU PEOPLE UNDERSTAND WHICH COMMENTS ARE MINE AND WHICH ARE NOT??????????????

I saw a discussion on Twitter and I understand it but at the other hand, not really so just wanted to share this. Some people are afraid that Olivia's fucked of viewing the world and all this shit she’s saying could change Harry. That he’s a person who could change under the impact of others (I don’t really agree with this) and that he seems different when he’s near her. They said that the energy at the shows was different when she was there, that he seemed like a bit different person (I did notice that the energy was different but don’t think that he was like a different person tho). They’re saying that they’re afraid the time he’s spending with her for a stunt could be bad. I don’t think any of them believe that they’re real, for sure not the person who started this so they’re talking about this time you know, during the stunt, like Italy or something because at the end of the day, they have to talk at some point. I don’t think that they’re right, Harry is not a little kid, I believe that he has his own and very strong opinions and no one, especially not as bad as Olivia could change it but just wanted to hear your opinion since I’ve seen quite a few tweets like this on my twitter today :)
I got another ask similar to this! I get it but I don't think Harry and Olivia hang out nearly enough for her to rub off on him. I've seen the personality change though. Specifically my mind goes to the Jan pap photos of the group of them. They looked like the mean kids from high school and just exuded these bad vibes.
In regards to this shows, I was lucky enough to go to 3 of them however they were all Olivia shows. MSG night 3 he seemed off. Barely interacted and seemed to zone out. Also forgot the lyrics to more than one song. Harryween night 1 was absolutely amazing and a far better show. Long Island was a good show as well and I'd say he was somewhere between MSG n3 and Harryween n1. So idk if Olivia's presence affected him that much in terms of personality. I will say though that he never interacted with her and didn't spend a lot of time near the side of the stage she was on.
I do think that Harry has his own opinions yet I also think he's very easily influenced. I think he kind of waffles between right and wrong. His moral compass is good but he chooses to ignore it for the sake of image, you know? But I don't think he's going to drop what he firmly believes in because he's around a wench.
Harry might act different because he's shielding his true self from Olivia. Could be why he seems off in every pap walk with her. He's probably miserable and not being open. That's my best guess. I don't think he's like changing though for the worse in that sense

I have a PR question. How do we know if a non-paparazzi photo is staged/arranged or not? I’m talking about random pictures someone takes of him and his supposed dates. ☺️
I don’t think you can know for sure, Nonny. That’s kind of the beauty of it 😊
If you’re interested in joining today’s class and read a little more about stuff, click below.
Disclaimer 1) I really shouldn’t be any kind of authority in terms of pr and of famous people pr but since many people here are presenting things as true statements without knowing anything about anything, it’s only fair that I tried to explain some stuff while knowing, like 5% of stuff.
Disclamer 2) I’m not really interested about talking specifically about Timmy’s situation. His dating life is either a private thing that shouldn’t be commented as a public topic or a pr thing that I don’t want to encourage it by commenting. Or both and see all of the above.
What I’m interested in, is talking about pr strategy and public images in general ways, why it’s there and how it works and that’s about it.
That being said, let’s start today’s class.
My belief when it comes to pr and related stuff is that knowing the ‘truth’ is less important than having as much knowledge as possible on the subject. It’s kind like math. If you have an equation and someone gives you the answer but you don’t know how to get to there yourself, knowing the answer doesn’t get you much. But if you have all the keys to resolve the equation, you can try to find the answer on your own. And, even if you don’t find the answer, knowledge will help you understand the logic of it. Why it’s there. What it says.
So what’s our equation today? A content of one (or more) public person/people taken from a smartphone camera of someone we don’t know.
Smartphone content isn’t inconsequential. Using ‘low’ quality camera instead of a professional one says something different. It’s supposed to bring more authenticity, closeness to the audience, spontaneity. It feels truer because you could be the one taken it, since there is a large chance you own a smartphone when you probably don’t own a professional camera. It has to be genuine if you could be the one taking it, right? You would have any interest in taking part of something fake, wouldn’t you?
It can feels logical like everybody knows that or it’s not really important but it’s something that is actually thought through by professionals when it comes to create content. There is that brand of cooking videos (you know the one you stumble on when you remember Facebook exist and that show you recipe that always look really easy to make at home and delicious (and also overly greasy and/or overly sugary) that was explaining how they could totally shot their videos in professional kitchen with high quality stuff but choose to do the complete opposite instead? Because their goal is to make their audience feel like they can make the recipe at home so they shot their videos on small kitchen with smartphones.
Creating professional content on un-professional devices is a real thing. Half of the business of influencers people is built on this. To think that the strategy has stayed only in the influencers people business would be very naive. In the famous people world, content created on smartphone is used for these bts vibes. We’re showing you what you’re not supposed to see so you feel like a part of it. This is how the famous people you love are in real life, when the camera is off. Except they’re not off, since you’re seeing it.
You’re not part of it, we’re showing you just enough for you to want it, to envy it but you’re not.
Let’s go back to the casual pic of that public person. Truth is, you could be taking the picture yourself and still don’t know what you’ve taken.
Say I’m well known top model who has signed a new contract with a clothing brand. I have pap walks to put the clothes in online articles and magazines. Of course pap pics also ends up on social media but they aren’t the type of media design for the platform. Pap walks create some distance from the audience because they often looks like real photo shootings. Part of the audience is defiant towards it. Either it’s an invasion of privacy or it’s staged. It’s not that positive.
What’s positive is me going out in my brand new clothes and cross path with people who recognize me. They wouldn’t know anything about my contract but would do all the job themselves without knowing they’re doing it. They would take a picture from afar, maybe a selfie, share it on social media with a cute context. A story. Write about that cute dress I was wearing, what my coffee order was (omg, she likes almond milk like me!), what’s the interaction was like. Was it staged? I like that dress and I really wanted to go for a walk and for that cup of coffee. And the fan was nice, everything was genuine. Yet, I still went out to be seen and the clothing brand is happy.
The problem with that scenario is that I’m not in control of anything. Maybe nobody will recognize me or care enough to take a picture or something went wrong with the fan/person I’ve seen and instead of a cute story I have someone insulting me all over the internet. Lot of time lost, some risk taken, not much result. Wouldn’t be easier to take a friend or a PA who would snap a few pictures and we’ll be home in 5 minutes, job done? Pr team get the pics and share them with the world with one of the twelve stan accounts about me they’ve been running for years. Even write a little story to go with it if they’re inspired enough. If you think it’s too much, you’re naive. Everything that can be faked or staged to save time, money or give you more control of the result, has already been faked and staged by someone. Multiple someones.
My take on this would be, the bigger you are, the more money you have to carry on your shoulders, the less you let things to chance and the more you take control of your narrative. PAs, agents, PR people,… When you have a whole team around you, you don’t (overly) pay them as secretaries. They’re not just here to handle your planning and bring you coffee or you would only need one person, not 7 of them walking around you all the time.
But what if there is no contract? What if I’m just wearing that dress because I like the brand? Or maybe there is a commercial deal with the brand but I have no obligation to wear it on my daily life or been seen with it. Wouldn’t the pics look exactly the same to an outside eye?
Of course I can go low key, move only inside cars with tinted windows, don’t walk around in popular places and only go in isolated, private places. I can. But maybe sometimes I’m tired of it. Maybe I just want to meet my non-famous friends where they like to go and fuck it if I’m seen there. Pics taken by people would look like they’re staged. Except maybe they’re not.
But if I stop caring, I indirectly accept that however I’m seen becomes part of my public image. And if it has become part of my public image, I should accept that it will be monitored to some extend by my team, and eventually by myself.
So how do we find the answer? We can’t. Based on a single photo alone, I don’t think we can. Unless you’ve seen contracts or you know the person personally, you can’t really pretend what’s going on being doors. Even so, would you know everything? Sometimes a contract is just a contract. Something a commercial deal is also a friendship. Sometimes a real friendship became public et become part of your public image. Sometimes you don’t really feel like talking about commercial deals with that cousin you’re seeing 5 times a year and doesn’t really care about what the details of your fucked-up public job are. So even your own family doesn’t know the truth about everything.
What we can do, if we’re interested in doing it, is look at every piece of content and ask ourselves. What are we seeing? How is it made? For what purpose? How that type of content is used in different contexts?
With more context, you can make interpretations for yourself. Will everybody will have the same? Of course not. Mathematicians, physicists, chemists, spent their time disagreeing on interpretations of stuff, how can we expect people to agree on the interpretation on something based of human behavior?
From what I’m seeing, PR conversations seem to be going on in many (many) fandoms. From a PR point of view, I don’t think it’s not a bad thing, whether what we’re talking about is real or fake in the first place. Having people think it’s fake and people think it’s real makes the conversation going. They’re always be people who would want to defend their point of view, their opinions, their favorite celebrities. Names will keep being mentioned, pics shared, word spread. SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and algorithms are happy.
My best advices, I guess, is, first, remember that you aren't obligated to have opinions on everything or to care about every aspect of the life of an artist you love, even when media and people would like you to think you are and you should. There is even things, such as dating life of other people than yourself, you shouldn’t really have opinions about at all.
If romance, love and sex keeps getting used to sell, it’s because it works. Think about all the books, all the movies, all the stories where a love story is integrated in an action movie/horror story/sci-fi scenario even when it has nothing to do with anything. Romance/love/sex sells since forever and probably for a long time. Because most people think falling in love is the main purpose of life and the most important thing in the world.
My second advice would be, don’t be naive but don’t be cynical either. Contexts and nuances are always important.
Anyways, like always I don’t have an answer and I’m barely even interested in the answer but I hope I'm able bring some perspectives to things because it’s important. More than ever, content is a tool. Since everyone is part of an audience, if not potentially part of all audiences , we should all learn more about how the tool works.
Of course i'm joking about the concept of class. I'm not a teacher. I'm only sharing some personal knowledge and opinions. I can be wrong or contested. No hard feelings against anyone.

Excuse me. Hi. 👋🏽 Questions...
Did Toe jump into a fishbowl to be with Taylor? Did toe choose to light himself on 🔥 and have an entire Sw*ftie army drag him to hell and keep him there as if he is an abomination to creation. Did he/or does he have a "bad reputation?" Is he the talk of the town, then sometimes striked-out, and has to crawl home for siding with not so good folks? Is "his love" a secret with Taylor?
Answer: HELL NO, to the NO, to the NO... NO biiitch!
1. All eyes are not on him. He never talks about her. She never mentions thought of him. No one cares. No one is watching.
*Karlie jumped in 1989 era. Lights flased with both of them. Karlie didn't give a fuck about camera. She just enjoyed spending time with Taylor. The lightening was striking everytime they moved.
2. "He gets praise for being Taylor's saving grace." So according to media and TS fans---specifically Toes he is God's gift to Taylor.
*First of all, Taylor saved herself. Karlie chose the life of publicly being lit on 🔥 by TS fans, friends, others to protect Taylor, Taylor's career, and their relationship. Talk about a saving grace, even if her reputation ends in shit.
3. He gets "boyfriend points" for sharing a cat on IG, wearing a hat, and walking in Nikes and Jeans in the woods, and not knowing how to hold a hand. "OmG! dream couple."
*Karlie and Taylor intimately engaged in a semi-makeout session at a concert, She had a special room at her house. they go on a very romantic getaway in the woods--but just "gal pals. Were the dream pair at the VS show.
Karlie still supporting Taylor indirectly presently--gets dragged, and called a rat. Talk about striking out...
4. HIS LOVE IS NOT A SECRET. TAYLOR TOLD PEOPLE IN THE SECRET SESSION ALL ABOUT HIM. We know he exist. You have been snapped by paps more than 10x with him. A secret? No. Private. Absolutely.
*well Karlie disappeared out of of Taylor life like a rabbit trick. They have been blacked out since 2016, except for that one time in Nashville AFTER Karlie conveniently gets engaged. Taylor has not mwntied her name outloud, since summer of 2016. Imagine that? And it has been the running theme in Taylor last 3 albums--but Tay has a boyfriend? What's the secret?
Lastly. Who will die for whom? Toe for Taylor or Karlie for Taylor? Or, vice versa.
Come on... 😏
Alright. I'm done. Sorry.

Fresh off the UK release of Amazon Studios’ reimagined 'Cinderella', pop icon Camila Cabello talks to Nick Levine about her starring role in the film and her next chapter.
Camila Cabello is in a very good place right now. The utterly joyous video for “Don’t Go Yet”, the lead single from her forthcoming album Familia, shows her dancing around a dinner table surrounded by family, friends and RuPaul’s Drag Race star Valentina. An eyepopping colour palette definitely complements the song: a bright and buoyant Latin bop banger that hits like musical serotonin. In the comments beneath the YouTube video, the singer has added a sweet message: “Hope you guys love this and that it inspires many wine drunk kitchen dance parties for you and your familia.”
The video may be a visual feast, but it’s no fantasy. Cabello says it reflects a recent healing period during which she focused on “collective joy and community and really growing the seeds of my relationships”. The casual dinner parties she threw with partner Shawn Mendes became a nourishing ritual as she stepped off the pop star treadmill for the first time in nearly a decade. This breather was long overdue given that Cabello’s career has maintained an upward trajectory ever since she entered the US version of The X Factor in 2012. Though she auditioned as a solo artist, she ended up landing a record deal as a member of Fifth Harmony, a girl group formed One Direction-style on the show. Four years later, she went solo and cemented her A-list status with “Havana”, one of the bestselling digital songs of all time. She now has more than a dozen platinum singles to her name, including 2016’s collaboration with Machine Gun Kelly, “Bad Things”, and 2019’s “South of the Border” with Ed Sheeran and Cardi B.
Still, Cabello’s pace of life slowed down last year for one reason only: the pandemic. “It’s been an absolutely traumatic thing that’s happened to the world,” she says today, speaking on the phone shortly before she records Spanish overdubs for her movie debut in a feminist reimagining of Cinderella. “But in terms of my mental health, before that particular moment, I was really approaching… ” The 24-year-old pauses, then corrects herself. “I mean, I don’t think I was even approaching, I think I was burned out. And I feel like that necessary forced pause [caused by the pandemic] just allowed me to look at my life differently. It allowed me to recalibrate what makes me happy and what is important to me. I feel like it saved me in a lot of ways.”
Cabello has spoken candidly in the past about her struggles with anxiety, which in turn led to obsessive-compulsive disorder. Today, she likens managing this anxiety to a “constant ebb and flow”, which is made easier by her new therapist, but says the pandemic let her rethink her attitude towards work. “I’m fortunate enough to choose what I say yes and no to,” she explains. “That’s what’s really important to me this time around. If it’s affecting my mental health in a negative way, I’ll say no and do it another way.”
“I feel like the public and the media could almost have become a third person in our relationship.”
A project she’s clearly fully invested in is Cinderella, a new film version of the familiar fairy tale, directed by Pitch Perfect’s Kay Cannon. Cabello stars as the title character opposite Broadway legend Idina Menzel as her non-wicked stepmother and Pose actor Billy Porter as her fairy godparent. According to Cabello, these reimagined characters are just two of the film’s progressive elements. “Those classic fairy tales were all written by men. That’s why the story [of Cinderella] is that of a woman who’s saved by a prince,” Cabello says. “But in our version, which is written and directed by a woman, she’s saved herself and is trying to build her own life. It’s a much more empowering version of the story.”
In fact, Cabello’s Cinderella story has “no evil people in it at all”, because it places the focus firmly on the heroine’s self-actualisation. “Cinderella’s dream is to live an independent life at a time when women aren’t allowed to have careers,” she explains. “So she’s seeing something that’s wrong in the world and not waiting for someone else to correct it for her – she’s doing it herself. I think that’s a really necessary, positive update.”
Cabello has also been using her formidable social media presence – 54.5 million followers on Instagram, 11.9 million on TikTok – to spread some very necessary positivity. After being papped on a run in mid-July wearing “a top that shows my belly”, Cabello told her TikTok followers she thought “Damn!” before remembering that “being at war with your body is so last season”. Today, she says she experiences much less body insecurity since sharing this post. “I felt like I was not alone in feeling that or alone in my frustration,” she says. “And so next time there are pictures of me where my belly is out, there’s gonna be a community of women who have heard me talk about the way that makes me feel and who support me. And that is honestly so liberating.”
She has even used TikTok to break down a human rights issue that is close to her heart. In July, Cabello shared a well-received video explaining that recent protests in Cuba aren’t “about lack of Covid resources and medicine”, but are really “the latest layer in a 62-year-old story of a communist regime and a dictatorship”. She says speaking out in this way was a matter of moral obligation for her. “You know, I’m Cuban and I still have family on the island,” she says – Cabello was born in Havana, then moved to Miami with her parents when she was six. “And so much of what I do is Cuban culture. I mean, ‘Havana’ is one of my most successful songs so far,” she adds. “So when I’m in the United States, showing the beautiful part of Cuban culture, I feel like I also have to be there for the hard part, for the people there who are struggling.”
“If it’s affecting my mental health in a negative way, I’ll say no and do it another way.”
“Havana”, a sultry and infectious celebration of the Cuban capital, was so huge that it could easily have overshadowed her debut album. But thankfully, 2018’s Camila was a cool and cohesive affair that also spawned the brilliant angsty banger “Never Be the Same”. Then in 2019 Cabello launched her second album, Romance, with “Señorita”, a massively successful duet with Mendes that has now racked up 1.9 billion Spotify streams. When Cabello and Mendes confirmed they were dating shortly after its release, they became gossip-site staples – something they remain today – and were accused of faking the relationship for publicity. The impact of this negative coverage on their mental health was barely even mentioned.
Still, more than two years later, Cabello says she and Mendes have managed to maintain their privacy. “I feel like the public and the media could almost have become a third person in our relationship,” she says. “But that’s not been a thing for us because Shawn and I don’t even look at social media like that. Even though we know it’s there, it’s almost like it doesn’t exist for us. And that’s why we don’t live in LA. We live in Miami or Toronto, where there’s less paparazzi and that kind of attention is less of a thing.”
Looking ahead, Cabello says she’s excited for fans to hear Familia, which she feels has greater “intimacy” than her previous albums because she worked so closely with core collaborators Scott Harris, Ricky Reed and Mike Sabath. Because she trusted them implicitly, Cabello says she was able to “freestyle” during recording sessions and really pour her heart out. “You know, there’s one song [I’ve recorded for the album] where I’m talking about my mental health and anxiety without [specifically] saying it’s about anxiety,” she says. “But it’s about what anxiety looks and feels like for me in my body and in my mind. And that wasn’t something I came into the room intending to write about. Ricky just showed me a piece of music he had and it all came out of me.”
Cabello says this “stream of consciousness” songwriting style “never would have happened” when she was recording Camila and Romance because, for her, there was still too much “tension” in the room. But this time around, she felt comfortable enough to be truly vulnerable. In this respect, Cabello draws a comparison between her own creative evolution and that of Billie Eilish, who recently released her acclaimed second album, Happier Than Ever. “I saw this quote from Billie where she said, ‘I wasn’t scared, it wasn’t forced, there was no pressure, it was just really nice.’ And I feel the same way about this album’s process for me,” she says. The message is clear: in both her personal and professional lives, Camila Cabello is in a very good place.

I feel like it saved me in a lot of ways.”

i think kaylors fundamentally miss the point when they say, why would “a white hetero couple” or “nobody says a man and a woman can’t be together”. other than this broad ignorant dismissal of how certain relationships wouldnt have any struggles or conflicts, addressing specifically to taylor swift’s life. like i know its hard to understand whats so hard in a live what seems an extravagant, rich celebrity life, and one who is undeniably privileged.
but when taylor says of “deep fear the world would divide us”, she is talking of her career-long record of the public making fun of her dating life, the slutshaming and the sexism of “watch out she’s gonna write a song about you”, paps camping outside her house rudely shouting “did you f***him”, stalking from random strangers deludely thinking she owes them something, media making long lists of “who she dated”, fans theorising “which song is about who”. she herself cannot stand the public scrutiny to her life so she fears no one would stand next to her, be in a relationship under this amount of spotlight. thats what whoever they be, wouldnt stick up with the shit that comes along by entering her life. joe avoids much, respectfully trying to bring focus only to his work. but interviewers still try to dig out stuff by asking “how do you feel about having songs written about you” “how do you feel having a girlfriend wealthier than you”. and then, there are people who just choose to hate him for the very reason he is the one dating taylor. taylor had to purposefully and consciously make decisions to keep her private life including her relationship as private as possible. there were struggles, conflicts to make this all work out and stop taking a toll on her mental health.
and then, specifically to 2016 when she met joe; the very two failed relationships before (and haylor, which did lead her to much consider “who’s gonna stick up for this” after its publicity, biggest to taylor then) calvin was her first long term, that ended real bad with post break up mess publicised (and other than him having too much ego who couldnt stand taylor’s fame higher than him), going very public with tom only accumulated to the hate train at that time. it makes sense why her going into her next relationship, caused much anxiety (is this okay, do you really like me despite how the public paints me, the whole themes of reputation), and desire to keep as private as possible. like, if people had a little empathy to see taylor as only human too, that no single person undergoes the same struggles or seemingly not because they dont belong to a group of minority, that due to the abnormality of a life taylor swift lives, her conflicts in her relationship and self can be very different from any normal person. i think we can try to understand this, and listen to what she had actually said and what we can clearly see, as we are fans
In the old days I used to personally hand the award for ‘The Most On Point 👌🏻 Message’. But since Covid I’m more than happy to mail it to your address of choice and host the ceremony online.
What I’ve been noticing lately (it took me a while, I admit) is that they don’t fully believe Taylor struggles with fame. The closest they get is to say that her coming out would be especially stressful, which fair. But they don’t acknowledge that simply existing under the public eye is hard enough.
Or in other words -and again, from the comments I’ve been reading- they say Taylor is only seen when she wants to be seen, and we only see what she wants to show us. And whilst I don’t deny that she has learned how to have a more private life, I think that expressing it in such a way disregards all the sacrifices she must make. Sure, she can get out of the house without being photographed, but I don’t believe she can do impromptu trips to the store, you know? And knowing that every outing of yours requires an entire entourage that makes sure you won’t be disturbed is going to take a toll on you. Because it’s not only you the one who’s affected by this, but the people around you. You will keep people from going to certain places, going out with you will require serious planning and you can’t guarantee them that their social media won’t get inundated by a bunch of strangers.
But nope. Kaylors talk about it as if all this control comes easy for Taylor.

hey !! finally getting around to posting this. you can call me aries, i’m 23 and in the bst ( uk ) timezone. my pronouns are she / her. i’m a little lost art school grad with a lot of student debt, a taste for red wine and an unhealthy obsession with arctic monkeys. not gonna lie, i whipped this kiddo up specifically for this rp so i’m still getting used to them, but hopefully with this intro you’ll get a feel for what they’re about. without further ado, here’s alby—
trigger warnings & disclaimer: mentions of hard drugs, alcohol, anger issues, destructive tendencies. my intention writing this intro was not to glamorize or romanticize these things in any way but if anything i have written comes across that way, please lmk!
smash that ♡ to plot or hit me up on discord @ chaotic aries#5793 !!
‘and this is how it starts...’ ( the basics )
name: alby fox miller age: twenty-three gender: non-binary ( demi-boy ) pronouns: he / him & they / them date of birth: may 24th 1997 zodiac: gemini sun, pisces moon, aries rising orientation: pansexual occupation: bassist for drive like i do career claim: ross macdonald ( the 1975 ) genre: alt-pop, pop-rock
‘it’s the way we are, we were smoking by eleven & knocking ‘round town...’ ( background )
you’re born in 1997, in the north west of england. wilmslow, to be exact. a quaint and affluent town, just south of manchester. the family you’re born into is a comfortable one. not quite living lavishly, but not at all struggling, either. your parents both work in business out in the city. you go to a good school. but... all is not how you exactly want it to be.
see, your parents are quite pushy. they expect you to live how they want, rather than how you do. at the all boy’s academy they enroll you in as a teenager, they expect you to pick what they deem as intellectual subjects, such as foreign languages, further mathematics and computer science. there’s a focus on you becoming someone that makes a lot of money, rather than someone who is happy.
but you’re... not the kind of person that can be molded so easily. you’re a fairly happy-go-lucky kid, but also a rebellious one. your parents’ strict ways of trying to force you down their chosen path, only encourages you more heavily to choose your own.
at fourteen, you meet the guys. lennox, jovi & jasper. they’re some of the only kids at school who can be bothered to be around you, with your high energy and bolshy attitude. really, they’re the only people who embrace you for who you are. they encourage your weirdness and outspokenness. it’s not long before you find yourself wanting to do everything together. it’s not long before the four of you are inseparable.
from there, you fully detach from everything your parents want you to be. you embrace your individuality. you also find the courage and bravery to come out to your parents as non-binary at the age of sixteen. there’s not a single person’s opinion that you’re afraid of, or even care about.
it’s not all rainbows & sunshine, though. you struggle somewhat with anger issues, and a bit of depression. you’re also practically addicted to getting into trouble: picking fights with bullies at school, selling weed & pills to your friends around town, underaged drinking... you get the gist. though you keep your fears internal, you sometimes worry you’ll get nowhere in life.
so of course, the second the boys are talking about starting a band, you’re all in. imagine if you made it big someday? wouldn’t that be sick? you’re immediately drawn to bass guitar, and use a month’s worth of saved up pocket money to pick one up from the big music store in the city. thankfully, you pick it up quite quickly, because before you can even realize it, things are getting so... real. by sixteen, you don’t feel you have the option to stick around at school for sixth form, because drive like i do is already playing local venues and working on its first album.
you’re just seventeen when the album is released. somehow, the climb to fame is faster than you could have ever imagined. it seems like yesterday you were still watching bass tutorials on youtube in your bedroom and practicing in your friend’s garage after school. first is some notoriety across the uk, but before you know it — boom! global stardom. the fame is a heavy weight for someone so young to carry... but fuck it, it’s gonna be fun, and you know it.
you’re twenty-three now, and days are gone of pipedreams formed in your parent’s shoebox room. you split your time between manchester, london, and LA — and that’s just during rare moments of downtime from your world tours. your band is 4 albums in, and whoever hasn’t heard of you might as well have been living under a rock. is it narcissistic to think like that? maybe, but you don’t care. this is rock n’ roll, baby. this is the life.
naturally, all eyes are mostly on your very outspoken frontman. he’s controversial, but the media can’t get enough of him. as for you? to them, you’re... the band’s problem child. while you argue that your behavior is no different than that of your friend, he’s got the lead singer charm. they don’t seem to like you as much. why? well...
‘drink, fall, spew...’ ( troublesome tendencies & exposed secret )
you never really coped as well as you acted like you did, did you? while you were grateful for the fame, everything was... a lot, and it was all at once. you didn’t even get the chance to process it.
take four twenty-somethings and add constant prying journalists, paparazzi, and constantly full schedules into the mix. and why not pepper in some typical rockstar vices, too? alcohol, drugs, parties, throwaway sex. things are destined to get a little rocky. though you tried at first not to show it to your fans, your destructive behavior soon got the better of you, and you became known to drunkenly lash out at paps, smash cameras and storm out of interviews when the questions got too personal.
this all came to a head when you were caught on camera several times distributing acid tabs, cocaine and mdma at events, music festivals & awards shows. the press gave the band a pretty bad time over this, and given the other members’ controversies and lennon’s similar link to drugs, it wasn’t a good look for any of you.
it didn’t matter that you had a side to you that was good, pure. that you were always kind and loving and down-to-earth towards your fans and friends. you were a bad seed, and you wound up on exposed with the rest of your bandmates. hopefully you can prove there’s more to you than what the media shows...
‘oh & you say, i’m such a cliche...’ ( personality )
immm gonna rush thru this section & write less formally bc those other parts too me WAY too long
basically a literal toddler. loves a laugh, loves a good time, but get on his bad side and he WILL throw a tantrum
it’s mainly people like press & paps he lets his anger out on. the band’s fans and people he’s close with on a personal level know he’s a good person underneath it all
loves a bit of mischief / rebellion / drama
king of hiding insecurities....
literal softie.... like... who allowed this binch to be so soft. he’s so open about how much he loves his friends (particularly his bandmates) and will platonically kiss and hug and love people all the time, particularly on the show bc he’s trying to show the cameras his softer side dfjghdfdfg
so excitable like WHERE does this kid get all his energy...
( tw drugs ) will probably struggle a bit on the show without access to drugs, but ( tw addiction mention ) he has never really been addicted or dependent on them, just a frequent user.
outspoken as fuck, has no filter sometimes oops
very flamboyant, in line with the general aesthetic of his band but also on a personal level. sports a kind of soft gothic/punk/early 2000s emo look. always paints his nails and wears makeup etc
sleeps around a lot but has never really been able to find a lasting relationship, has just had a bunch of short-lived flings???? but lowkey develops crushes at the drop of a hat and would love to properly fall in love with someone who could be with him forever & accept him for all his flaws, but he highly doubts that will ever happen fgjdhsfg
‘why don’t you figure my heart out?...’ ( wanted connections )
exes on good terms
exes on bad terms ( maybe someone who actually really wanted to stay with him but couldnt deal with his bullshit and now resents him? )
someone who loves the band’s music & inflates his ego ab it
someone he hasn’t seen for years that he’s reunited on the show & maybe they’re revisiting old feelings for each other??? and he wants it to be DIFFERENT this time but also theres shit tons of fucking cameras and shit which... makes things difficult...
first friend he made in LA or in the states in general, someone who showed him the ropes
someone who hates him / hates the band like PLEASE
and also just a straight up enemy maybe?? someone who finds him annoying as fuck??
FRIENDS!!!
literally anything just hmu and lay an idea on me and theres 90% chance ill be down

iv. if i was a man, then i’d be the man
I’m so sick of running as fast as I can,
wondering if I’d get there quicker if I was a man.
And I’m so sick of them coming at me again,
‘cause if I was a man, then I’d be the man
-Taylor Swift, “The Man”
“The Falcon is en route,” The bodyguard reported.
Daenerys despised her code name. Falcon. Compared to the other code names of the family, Dragon, Eagle, Swan, and Raven, Falcon was terribly underwhelming. The falcon was a bird people trained to hunt for them. It was a bird for enjoyment, not a bird that commanded respect.
Stepping through the automatic airport doors, her eyes and ears were assaulted. The flash of cameras and the shouts of the paparazzi were much louder than she remembered. After six years in Essos, she supposed she’d lost her resistance to them.
As the car door shut behind her, the security detail fell in line. Sir Jorah sat in the backseat beside her, with another in the passenger seat and an armed chauffeur. The sirens on the police cars started up and they pulled away from King’s Landing International Airport and into the busy streets.
The airport was located in the new city. An entrancing view of sleek and modern high rise buildings. Business headquarters, vegan restaurants, and clothing stores advertised themselves in the clear windows. The sun was absent, leaving room for the rainstorms that heralded her arrival.
As they entered the old city, Dany remembered why she wanted to leave so bad. The air still smelled terrible and people crowded the streets. When Dany applied to the esteemed Braavos University, they were more than ecstatic to accept a member of the Westerosi royal family. Dany was just as excited to leave King’s Landing.
Studying overseas was the best decision. People cared less about what was going on in Westeros and weren’t phased when Dany and her security officers were out and about. Granted, there were still a few paps waiting outside her apartment but it was a much needed reprieve from her life in Westeros.
People stopped and gawked at the heavy vehicles maneuvering the narrow streets. Did they know Dany was back, or were they waiting on an official announcement from the crown? She missed being able to smile at people as she passed them and take in the sun, instead she was hidden away under an armored hood and tinted windows.
She tore her gaze away from the saturated image of the world around her and looked at herself in the rear view. The bags under her eyes hadn’t improved and her skin was dry from the airplane air. She was in no shape to see her family again. They expected a perfect princess and the best she could give them was a tired college student.
“Everything alright, Your Highness?”
The voice of Sir Jorah brought her back to reality.
“Nothing,” she assured Jorah, “It just feels weird to be back.”
“I know what you mean. A few years of people not giving you a second glance and now everyone’s on your arse.”
The chauffeur coughed to show his distaste for Jorah’s language, to which he muttered an apology. Dany chuckled. They had grown too relaxed while in Essos, too comfortable with each other. That would have to change.
Of course it hadn’t always been like that. When Jorah was first assigned to Dany, he took his duties with extreme seriousness, as they were drilled into him by years of experience. But when she had a breakdown while studying for her Essos Political Science class, he broke protocol and offered her solace. An odd friendship grew between them and soon enough she had Jorah trying to drink her under the table at college parties.
Despite people in Braavos not caring about Westerosi politics, they hesitated to befriend a royal. Probably afraid of the customs and rules that came with it. There was one girl in her Valyrian Studies class that managed to get over that fear, Missandei from Naath. Dany wished Missandei was with her.
The motorcade came to the front gates of the Red Palace. It had once been a great keep built of red stone that looked over the whole city, but Dany’s ancestors had a great love for the grand mansions in Essos and had the Red Keep destroyed and replaced with a sprawling palace in red marble. It looked even more imposing than the original. Although Dany had only seen portraits of the old keep, she knew the pinkish stone couldn’t have put fear into the hearts of those that would steal it.
Her ancestors knew what they were doing because the sight of it filled Dany with dread. Years of lessons and protocol, always in the shadow of her older brothers. She tasted freedom in Essos and was now expected to give all of it up to fit the family mold. She took a deep breath in an attempt to control the increasing speed of her heart.
The iron gate opened with the grace and opulence it commanded, allowing the princess through. The cars took their usual arc around the enormous fountain in the front courtyard. A silver scene of three dragons breathing water instead of fire. Come to think of it, Dany hated that fountain too.
She slid out of the car, trying to move quickly so the paparazzi outside the gates couldn’t capture her dressed in leggings and athletic sneakers. Varys would have her head if even an inch of her body got published in something so casual. She added the dress code to her list of grievances.
Petyr Baelish met her inside the doors, matching her brisk pace through the cavernous entry hall. Their footfalls echoed in the space, a haunting sound.
“Princess Daenerys, it is so good to see you again.”
“Wish I could say the same to you,” she deadpanned.
Baelish was never her friend and Dany was more than willing to take out her frustrations on him.
He sighed and continued, “As I’m sure you know, the annual charity gala is tonight. The seamstress has already prepared selections for you to choose from and is waiting in your room. I suggest you hurry there.”
Dany rolled her eyes.
“It would also be in your best interest to know that the King of the North, Eddard Stark, and three of his children will be in attendance tonight,” Baelish reported.
“The King of the North?”
“Yes. And his three children. Crowned Prince Jon, Prince Robb, and Princess Sansa.”
“What are they doing down here?”
The North was an independent country. When Aegon the Conqueror sailed from Valyria he respected Torren Stark’s refusal to kneel, leaving them independent from the United Kingdoms of Westeros, but not without repercussions. The North was cut off from the rest of Westeros, no access to trade or military support. Members of the royal family hadn’t traveled south since the last long winter a hundred years ago.
As far as Dany was concerned they were a boring lot. Their names were rarely mentioned in the tabloids and they never did press interviews. They never appeared on TV and the paparazzi seemed uninterested. The complete opposite of the Targaryen family, whose faces were plastered on every magazine cover and nightly news editorial, who existed to be seen.
“The charity represented tonight is the champion cause of His Majesty, Eddard Stark. The palace extended an invitation to them and they accepted,” Baelish explained.
Dany hummed in acceptance of his statement, but she had the suspicion there was something deeper going on. Rhaegar learned from their ancestors to always have an ulterior motive, to never allow a stranger into your home unless the stranger had something to offer. That philosophy was one Dany lived by, although she employed it specifically for romantic partners.
Another set of footsteps entered the hall. The excited patter of little feet made Dany’s heart lurch.
“Auntie Dee! You’re home.”
Her niece and nephew, Rhaenys and Aegon, sprinted through the corridor. She bent down to hug them, giving them kisses on their foreheads. She didn’t want to let them go. The ache in her chest reminded her of just how much she missed them.
“How long are you going to be home this time, Dany?” Rhaenys asked, hope in her dark eyes.
“I don’t know yet, Your Royal Highness,”
“Longer than a day right?” Aegon begged.
“I think I can manage that.”
The children’s governess appeared from around the corner, red faced and out of breath.
“I’m so sorry, Your Highness, they saw your car pull through the front gates and took off. I told them that you’d want to be alone, but it appears they no longer listen to me.”
“Don’t worry about it,” Dany assured the woman.
“Do we have to go back to lessons?” whined Aegon.
“We’d much rather spend time with you!”
Dany laughed, “I’m afraid your lessons are more important than me. How else can you become the greatest Queen and Prince there ever was?”
The kids groaned, but didn’t protest when Dany took their hands and led them back up the stairs. The whole way back Rhaenys and Aegon filled her in on how well regular school was going and all of the friends they made. And she praised them for their wonderful jobs and promised to see them as soon as she could before handing them off to the governess.
As soon as she turned around, there was Baelish, looking rather upset at the distraction.
“Your Highness, if you would please pick up the pace. Or you’ll go to the gala half dressed and Gods know we do not need another headline like yesterday.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Of course, she did know. Maybe drinking Red Priestess vodka all night was a terrible idea, but in her defense, she wasn’t buying the drinks. Braavosi custom dictated that it was rude to refuse a drink when someone else was buying.
“I see. And the naked sunbathing incident with the Khal off the coast of the Summer Isles? That wasn’t you either?”
“What are you implying?”
“Your Highness, your exploits in Essos are not lost on Westeros. People talk and what they have to say isn’t nice.”
Dany rolled her eyes, “So what? Dragons don’t care about the opinions of sheep. Besides Baelish, if there was an issue here Rhaegar would’ve told me.”
She lied straight through her teeth. Of course Rhaegar said something about her behavior. And she was confident Baelish knew too.
“Of course, Your Highness. Whatever you say.”
Baelish made a gesture for her to walk ahead of him as they approached her apartments.
They hadn’t changed since her graduation from secondary school. She ran her hand over the painted walls. Scenes of courtyards, gardens, and ancient castles painted like they were straight from a medieval manuscript. She tapped her finger on the nose of a princess engaged in a dance with a prince, as she did every time she passed. The princess was supposed to be the fair Alysanne but there was a surprising lack of a dragon anywhere near.
The plush bed looked inviting and Dany could feel the exhaustion under her eyes. She had too much to think about and doubted sleep would come easily. When she turned the corner she laid eyes on Elia Martell, resting on the ottoman in the closet through another set of archways. She stood and opened her arms.
Dany ran to her sister-in-law, crushing her in a hug. Elia squeezed back and rubbed Dany’s back reassuringly.
“I’m sure you know all about it,” Dany sighed into Elia’s chest.
“I shouldn’t tell you this,” she warned, “but Rhaegar was very upset.”
“I figured.”
“Dany, how did this happen?”
“Elia, I don’t know! I wasn’t even drunk.”
The in-house seamstress was well prepared for Dany’s arrival. A rack of red gowns waited for her. Red was Dany’s favorite and she always wore it to important functions, much to the dismay of Varys. He claimed the color was too bold and harsh for a young, unmarried princess.
“Either way, there’s a stinking mess and it’s stressing Rhaegar out. If his hair wasn’t already so light, it would be turning grey. And who was that man you were leaning on?”
Dany ran her hand over the expensive fabrics. Velvets and silks, embroidered with silver and detailed in black. They were perfect for an evening amongst high born and elite.
“Daario Naharis.”
Dany selected the first dress and held it up to her frame. Dark red knit with a shimmer. Shape hugging with a slit up the back and low cut neckline. She stepped behind the privacy screen to try it on, slipping out of her regular clothing.
“You mean the Tyroshi tech millionaire?”
“His father’s the millionaire. Daario will just inherit all of it,” Dany called from behind the screen.
“Why do Rhaenys and Aegon have lessons? It’s summer.”
“I wanted to make sure it was just you and I today.”
The seamstress zipped up the dress and Dany stepped out and onto the fitting platform. As she turned about, her many reflections mimicked her and the sparkling dress she wore.
“What do you think?” she stuck out her right leg to accentuate the slit.
“It’s a little plain,” a voice said from the doorway.
Dany whipped her head around to see her best friend all the way from Essos.
“Missy!”
She hiked the skirt away from her feet and charged at her friend, wrapping her arms around the girl’s slim frame.
“What are you doing here? I thought you had a family emergency in Naath,” Dany questioned.
“That’s just where my flight connected. Elia called me a few days ago and told me I should be here.”
Elia gave Dany a playful glance.
“Well, it’s good you’re here. I need someone to agree with me on everything.”
The seamstress coughed and Dany left her best friend’s arms to try on the next option. A crimson A-line piece in chiffon, dark and flowy.
“Are you sure you don’t need someone to make sure your boobs stay in your dress?”
Elia snickered but Dany rolled her eyes.
“We get it! I made a bad decision and it came back to bite me in the ass. Add it to the list.”
Dany let out a strangled breath as the seamstress pulled the ties tight around her. The dress was supposed to flow, why did it need to be so tight? She stepped back up to the platform.
“I like that one,” Elia offered.
“Too sweet,” Missy and Dany said at the same time.
She stepped down and back behind the screen, the seamstress undressing her again.
The last time she tried on that many dresses was for Rhaegar’s coronation. They were still mourning for King Aerys so everyone was dressed in black. Dany remembered the dress she chose. Strapless, black a-line, covered in dark flowers that turned silver at the bottom. She remembered standing in the front row of the Sept, weighed down with silver jewelry and watching Rhaegar ascend the steps. And all she could think of at that moment was their father and how gaudy and disrespectful it all felt.
The seamstress pulled the ties of the next dress painfully tight and sent her off. The soft red satin pleated around her chest in structured pleats like a seashell. It hugged her hip and gathered into a burst, fanning around her feet. Dany did a few turns and twists, her many reflections copying her.
“That’s the one,” Missy praised.
Elia hummed in agreement.
On her way to change Dany said, “We can figure out the jewels later. We need to discuss my fall from grace.”
She wrapped a black silk robe around herself and walked straight onto the settee at the end of her bed, turned, and let herself fall. The thick duvet and memory foam mattress broke her fall. Missandei crawled up beside her and stroked her silver hair.
“Remember at Galazza’s lecture when she said that there’s no such thing as bad publicity?”
“I’m afraid it doesn’t work that way for royalty. We try to keep our names out of the papers these days,” Elia stated as she appeared at Dany’s side. “The more invisible we appear, the more the public likes us. Although they seem to love when we dress up and spend time among them.”
Her dark hair fell over her shoulder. They used to have girls’ nights where they would watch sappy movies, eat popcorn, and braid each other's hair. They always watched a dated Dornish film about a Rhoynish prince disguised as a Meereenese pit fighter. Dany would always gush about the leading man and Elia said she went to school with him and they dated for a brief time. She wondered what Elia’s life would be like if it weren’t for the arranged marriage between her and Rhaegar.
“I need a drink,” Dany pouted, sitting up.
“Are you sure that’s a good idea?” Missy asked, the tone in her voice made it clear what she was referencing.
“If I’m going to get through this evening of ass kissers and sticks-in-the-mud, I’m going to need something stiff.”
“I think alcohol is the last thing you need,” Elia said sternly.
“This is so unfair. If I were a man and that picture got out, this wouldn’t be an issue-”
“Dany,” Elia warned.
“-but because I’m a woman my boob is deemed offensive and-”
“Dany!”
She looked to Elia, who never snapped at her, with wounded eyes.
“I know you’re upset and that’s understandable. But it’s our lives. So please, do me a favor, and deal with it.”
Missandei watched Elia with enraptured interest. She’d never seen someone put Dany in her place before. But then again, Dany was usually in the right.
“How long am I going to be stuck here?”
“What?” Missy asked.
“We called Dany home because she needed a time out,” Elia explained to Missandei before turning her attention back on Dany, “And that’s indefinite for right now. You need to tell me more about this Daario.”
“We’ve been hooking up for a year and he wants to make it official.”
“Well I hope you told him no,” Elia gasped.
“Don’t worry about it Elia, he won’t be coming to Westeros anytime soon. And Rheagar would never let me formally date a Tyrohsi.”
“Why?” Missandei asked.
“The monarchy is already in a delicate position because we represent an outdated establishment. Allowing Dany to seriously entertain a foreign millionaire would make us seem unpatriotic.” Elia stroked Dany’s hair and tucked it behind her ear.
“Your Majesty, the hairdresser has arrived,” Elia’s assistant reported.
She sighed and got up, brushing the wrinkles out of her pants.
“I’ll see you two at the gala.”
Dany groaned and Missandei giggled, “You still have to find me a dress.”

Why I still think Ellie and Sebastian are still together.
I want to get it all out as to why I think they are together. Many of you don’t seem to understand for months I waived back and forth but now I’m nearly sure they are together. I didn’t come to this decision lightly. The last straw for me was Turks and Caicos.
Let me start by saying, many of you seem to be under the impression that if we aren’t fully seeing something it can’t have happened. This is both before and after December. Many fans seem to have been completely shocked that Sebastian was able to hide Ellie well for months and couldn’t believe the relationship was “real” or “serious” because of that. But let me pull a quote from T@ylor Sw!ft
“...Because it's 2017 and if you didn't see a picture of it, it couldn't have happened right? Let me say it again, louder for those in the back... We think we know someone, but the truth is that we only know the version of them that they have chosen to show us.”
I know T@ylor probably isn’t popular on here (for good reason) but I think this is one of the most honest quotes about the current celebrity culture. Sebastian can disappear in NYC for months on end without us really spotting him, he can appear suddenly and be seen over and over again by fans. I don’t believe that’s by chance. There is this beautiful quote by Marylin Monroe “Want to see her?” The story goes that she was walking in the streets with a friend (no hair, makeup, in jeans, etc) and the friend was astonished that nobody was noticing who she was. Marylin was the most desired woman in the world, how could people not notice her? The friend asked her how and she said to her “Want to see her?” and she turned “it” on. Soon they were flanked by camera’s, fans, etc.
Celebrities can go without being seen when they don’t want. We know this, we know they hire paps and show up at convenient places where people will see them. This isn’t to say they can’t be stalked and chance encounters don’t happen. But for the most part, they can choose if they want to be seen. Rarely are they taken aback. I don’t believe Sebastian is different, he knows how to play the game. He dated 3 “It” girls. He knows. I don’t think it’s so strange coincidence that we use to go every single week with getting photos of Sebastian with a fan, and since December we’ve got a handful of photos. It’s intentional.
So please keep all that in mind when I bring up why I still believe they are together.
1: The Photographer
Back in February we a had a recent photographer of Ellie claiming she had a boyfriend
Tumblr media
She then got more people questioning her and she did backtrack but she never (from what I saw) denied she had a boyfriend. All she said was
Tumblr media
Sorry, it’s small but she basically said: “Does it say I wrote that.” The person had sent in an ask from my blog. I don’t really see this as a denial. I see this as a person getting freaked out her private messages were being sent around to blogs on the internet.
2: Ellie deleting and going private
Suddenly in Febuary Ellie went private and then took the time to delete thousands of Sebastian fans following her. This happened when she returned to NYC in February.
Ellie’s a model, and in the world of Instagram having followers matter. More than anything else right now, having followers matter. Ellie doing this would have infuriated her agency, so why would she do it. She did this months after the drama had died down. She probably wasn’t getting the same stream of hate, deleting then is odd. Unless it was the direction of someone. Given this happened right as she came back to America I suspect Sebastian directed it (maybe as a condition of staying together).
3: Mdcelestes
This is a friend of Sebastian, who works for the Ronald McDonald House. She claimed in a post that Sebastian during a visit spoke out against “Cyberbullying” and claimed in a comment below he had been a recent victim of it (I don’t have screenshots of it but if anyone does please send them in). To me this doesn’t sound like he thought Ellie was in the wrong, and if he didn’t think she was wrong why would he break up with her? (This can also be applied to Netania as well)
4: Sebastian disappearance
Sebastian disappeared, we hardly have gotten posts or fan sightings. Why is he hiding away? I guess you can argue he’s over fans, but I think he’s hiding to make sure he and Ellie aren’t seen together.
5: Sebastian’s comments at Rome Con
When asked why he left Instagram he said this “The internet’s a funny thing. I love it because it can really bring people together. You can bring focus to the right sort of situation and I love it for that. But it’s also a place of extreme hate and miscommunication and lies and this kind of negativity.”
So it really does seem like Sebastian does not think Ellie (and perhaps even Netania) did no wrong. That the internet ganged up on an innocent victim. Side note: this is the real problem with cancel culture, it allows the person being canceled to play the victim. So if Sebastian doesn’t think Ellie did anything wrong why would he break up with her? The story of the breakup theory is he found out and dumped her. But if he didn’t think she was wrong why would he? If he either A. didn’t care or B. believed it was all lies why would he? They could have been planning for months to be apart most of the winter. Ellie probably had planned to visit Oz for months and Sebastian probably knew his film schedule for a while. Them not being together this winter could have been something they knew last fall.
6: Turks and Caicos Gate
Probably the biggest piece of evidence. Ellie’s birthday happened on the 30th of May and that weekend all her friends were in Turks and Caicos. Her friend Dugald posted this
Tumblr media
We have Ania (another friend) laughing about people being cut out of the photo. Someone besides Will (Sebastian’s friend). To make it all the more damning Dugald privated his account after this photo was put out. He has since reopened. This is a theme of Ellie’s friends, post something sketchy then private. Dugald did this at Will and Alissa’s wedding a year ago, he posted a photo of Sebastian and Ellie and then quickly privated.
To make the matter all the more damning we figured out it was a man and woman who were cut from this photo. Cameron (Ellie’s friend) uploaded this to his instagram story
Tumblr media
Cameron later deleted this photo from his story. It’s obvious these two people didn’t want to be featured
Then looking at photos of Ellie and Sebastian at the beach last year makes painfully obvious to me that this is them
Tumblr media
Cameron pulled a similar dog and pony show here as well. He posted then privated his account. We have other occasions of Sebastian demanding no photos of him and Ellie (the wedding, pap walk pics being taken down, Brazil). This makes it all the more likely that it was by Sebastian demand he was not featured in any of the group’s photos posted online. We have two extra people on this trip but they aren’t featured in any of the other posts by the others. To me there is only one explanation, this was specifically by Sebastian’s demand.
So no I’m not basing this on nothing or saying it solely to hate on Sebastian. I’m saying this based on a series of events that have occurred since February.

Oh, and that ask that prompted the list?? Having a fun wedding doesn't take any of the meaning away. Mia and Darren breaking traditions doesn't surprise me at all. I know CC's deny it, but they've been together for close to a decade now, and have lived together for 5+ yrs, they travel together, they own a business, etc. Married life probably isn't changing a ton for them. Darren said it himself, it was less of a celebration of purely them, but more so for the life they've built together.
Anonymous said: Oh my god. Abby's list of what she'd expect at Darren's "real" wedding is literally fanfic. Like straight up fanfiction.
Hi anon!  If D was to have a large elaborate wedding and he was marrying the love of his life while it may not be completely traditional, some things I think would be key:
1. The focus would be love
2. The guests would not use his wedding as a promotional tool
3. There would not be one product placement
4. The rings would be ones picked out lovingly and to reflect the person wearing the ring
5. he would write and perform a song for his love
6. you bet there would be a first dance
7. His family would be way more involved
8. The guest list would be very, very different
9. While he may release a picture or two for his fans, which i think is nice, the entire thing would not be available for public consumption
10. No paps and no leaks or hints before the day
11. While there may be some performances, it would not be made into a concert for everyone and their mother to perform at because that takes the focus from the grooms and places it on the guests.
12. It would not be in a random city that he is trying to sell has some meaning to him when we know it has no relevance to the relationship at all.
I am could go on and on. Of course, i am the batshit crazy tinhat that thinks he is already married, to his true love, and as such, they likely had a small intimate ceremony only attended by family.  But i still bet he wrote C a song to commemorate the day.
Just like always, Abby resorts back to this Disney-Princess, perfect version of love that isn’t real- it is rom/com perfection that doesn’t exist outside of books and movies. This list of Abby’s dream wedding is-like you said- a straight up fan fiction wedding.
I don’t know how Abby could read all of the “promotional” posts by their friends and not understand that it was a wedding focused on love. So many of the social media posts specifically mentioned what a magical celebration of love the wedding was. You can’t piece together social media posts and the photos they released and come up with a complete picture of the wedding.  What we saw was not the wedding at all- it was the reception. No matter how much Abby wants to ignore the facts, we haven’t HEARD anything from the ceremony-we’ve seen a few photos, mostly taken from quite a distance and one small snippet of Darren’ signing. That is all we got from the ceremony-ya know, the part of a wedding that is focused on love and is emotional.  We have seen video upon video of the reception because nobody was posting an intimate wedding on Instagram. I am sure they were asked not to take video.  We saw one or two pics of the wedding cake, the food we saw because the chef posted it. Truth is we saw a lot of videos from the same performances at the reception. The product placement comment is just gross. Businesses have to promote themselves to get more business..it’s how it works.  I’m sure Abby’s law office advertises. There is nothing wrong it it. There were no “product placements” just a petty conspiracy theorists who hates that Darren and Mia got married.
I honestly can’t with the ring comment. Abby has NO idea what the ring process was. She has made up a theory that doesn’t seem at all logical but she has dug her heels in-visual evidence be damned.
The obsession with the first dance? I don’t get it. Darren and Mia are singers, they live their lives with music and having a first song makes perfect sense for them. A first dance... I mean, it’s what we do at receptions in America but what does it mean? Most people are living with their partner long before the wedding making a dance nothing more a moment that doesn’t mean much- I enjoyed choosing the song but the dance itself? Meh. I would have LOVED to sing with my husband for our family and friends. THAT is something that would have been memorable...sadly, I cannot carry a tune....it would have been memorable for all the wrong reasons.
The rest of the list is just proof that Abby knows nothing about Darren. A different guest list? Is she serious? They invited THEIR friends, not Abby’s cc-trope list of Darren’s gay role models and people he’s worked with that she decided mean so much to him because he posted an IG pic. They have real lives outside of social media. It’s laughable that the fandom that claims they understand PR and won’t fall for it believe he is BFFs with his whatever costar he just worked with.
His family would be way more involved? First of all, we don’t know what their families did or didn’t do- we haven’t see more than a few still shots of the wedding itself. I don’t know what kinds of things a family would do at a wedding of two independent adults. The pics? We were blessed with the photos. The pics are a gift to his fans which is right in line with something Darren would absolutely do.  The paparazzi? OMG again Abby claims to understand Hollywood and celebrity and she doesn’t understand how paparazzi work. Having a paparazzi at your wedding isn’t something that anyone who is actually famous covets. People who are famous for being famous- wannabe influences, the Spencer-and-Heidi’s of the world, they live for paparazzi at their wedding, but Darren? Never. Just look at his face when he spots them- he’s very upset. They all are. There were no leaks or hints that were released by Darren and Mia. It was just some good Tumblr CSI.
Criticizing the reception performances is the one that just blows my mind. First of all, Darren lives to perform- he also lives to see shows and shows his friends are in? Perfection. Second of all, his guest list contained a huge number of singers. Having an open mic for this group of beloved friends to perform for one another is a gift...a beautiful moment for everyone there. Claiming it takes the spotlight off of the couple? WTF? Who cares? A wedding isn’t about the spotlight being on the bride and groom every moment...at least not a fun wedding. Talk about Bridezilla. Abby believes that in a real wedding Darren would have preformed a song for Chris during the ceremony, but performing at the reception is tacky? Nothing proves how little Abby knows or likes Darren Criss than this this specific comment- well this entire list but this comment sums it up best.
NOLA? Again, Abby, Darren has a life that YOU don’t know about because it isn’t posted on Instagram. When you literally believe you “know” someone because you track them on social media, you miss 99% of their life. You get the Instagram-moments, perfect version. It isn’t real life. When Darren says he is private, he means it.

Summary
You can create a completely different set of servlet pages for each HotSpot server you have, specifying the directory in 'html-override-directory' property of a HotSpot server profile /ip hotspot profile. The default servlet pages are copied in the directory 'hotspot' directory right after you create server profile. This directory can be accessed by connecting to the router with an FTP client. You can copy this directory and modify the pages as you like using the information from this section of the manual. Note that it is suggested to edit the files manually, as automated HTML editing tools may corrupt the pages by removing variables or other vital parts. After you are finished with content modification you need to upload this modified content to some custom directory on hotspot router and point previously mentioned property 'html-override-directory' value as path to this new custom HTML directory.
Note: If 'html-override-directory' value path is missing or empty then hotspot server will revert back to default HTML files.
Available Pages
Main HTML servlet pages, which are shown to user:
redirect.html - redirects user to another url (for example, to login page)
login.html - login page shown to a user to ask for username and password. This page may take the following parameters:
username - username
password - either plain-text password (in case of PAP authentication) or MD5 hash of chap-id variable, password and CHAP challenge (in case of CHAP authentication). This value is used as e-mail address for trial users
dst - original URL requested before the redirect. This will be opened on successfull login
popup - whether to pop-up a status window on successfull login
radius<id> - send the attribute identified with <id> in text string form to the RADIUS server (in case RADIUS authentication is used; lost otherwise)
radius<id>u - send the attribute identified with <id> in unsigned integer form to the RADIUS server (in case RADIUS authentication is used; lost otherwise)
radius<id>-<vnd-id> - send the attribute identified with <id> and vendor ID <vnd-id> in text string form to the RADIUS server (in case RADIUS authentication is used; lost otherwise)
radius<id>-<vnd-id>u - send the attribute identified with <id> and vendor ID <vnd-id> in unsigned integer form to the RADIUS server (in case RADIUS authentication is used; lost otherwise)
md5.js - JavaScript for MD5 password hashing. Used together with http-chap login method
alogin.html - page shown after client has logged in. It pops-up status page and redirects browser to originally requested page (before he/she was redirected to the HotSpot login page)
status.html - status page, shows statistics for the client. It is also able to display advertisements automatically
logout.html - logout page, shown after user is logged out. Shows final statistics about the finished session. This page may take the following additional parameters:
erase-cookie - whether to erase cookies from the HotSpot server on logout (makes impossible to log in with cookie next time from the same browser, might be useful in multiuser environments)
error.html - error page, shown on fatal errors only
Some other pages are available as well, if more control is needed:
rlogin.html - page, which redirects client from some other URL to the login page, if authorization of the client is required to access that URL
rstatus.html - similarly to rlogin.html, only in case if the client is already logged in and the original URL is not known
radvert.html - redirects client to the scheduled advertisement link
flogin.html - shown instead of login.html, if some error has happened (invalid username or password, for example)
fstatus.html - shown instead of redirect, if status page is requested, but client is not logged in
flogout.html - shown instead of redirect, if logout page is requested, but client is not logged in
Serving Servlet Pages
The HotSpot servlet recognizes 5 different request types:
request for a remote host
if user is logged in and advertisement is due to be displayed, radvert.html is displayed. This page makes redirect to the scheduled advertisment page
if user is logged in and advertisement is not scheduled for this user, the requested page is served
if user is not logged in, but the destination host is allowed by walled garden, then the request is also served
if user is not logged in, and the destination host is disallowed by walled garden, rlogin.html is displayed; if rlogin.html is not found, redirect.html is used to redirect to the login page
request for '/' on the HotSpot host
if user is logged in, rstatus.html is displayed; if rstatus.html is not found, redirect.html is used to redirect to the status page
if user is not logged in, rlogin.html is displayed; if rlogin.html is not found, redirect.html is used to redirect to the login page
request for '/login' page
if user has successfully logged in (or is already logged in), alogin.html is displayed; if alogin.html is not found, redirect.html is used to redirect to the originally requested page or the status page (in case, original destination page was not given)
if user is not logged in (username was not supplied, no error message appeared), login.html is showed
if login procedure has failed (error message is supplied), flogin.html is displayed; if flogin.html is not found, login.html is used
in case of fatal errors, error.html is showed
request for '/status' page
if user is logged in, status.html is displayed
if user is not logged in, fstatus.html is displayed; if fstatus.html is not found, redirect.html is used to redirect to the login page
request for '/logout' page
if user is logged in, logout.html is displayed
if user is not logged in, flogout.html is displayed; if flogout.html is not found, redirect.html is used to redirect to the login page
Note: If it is not possible to meet a request using the pages stored on the router's FTP server, Error 404 is displayed
There are many possibilities to customize what the HotSpot authentication pages look like:
The pages are easily modifiable. They are stored on the router's FTP server in the directory you choose for the respective HotSpot server profile.
By changing the variables, which client sends to the HotSpot servlet, it is possible to reduce keyword count to one (username or password; for example, the client's MAC address may be used as the other value) or even to zero (License Agreement; some predefined values general for all users or client's MAC address may be used as username and password)
Registration may occur on a different server (for example, on a server that is able to charge Credit Cards). Client's MAC address may be passed to it, so that this information need not be written in manually. After the registration, the server should change RADIUS database enabling client to log in for some amount of time.
To insert variable in some place in HTML file, the $(var_name) syntax is used, where the 'var_name' is the name of the variable (without quotes). This construction may be used in any HotSpot HTML file accessed as '/', '/login', '/status' or '/logout', as well as any text or HTML (.txt, .htm or .html) file stored on the HotSpot server (with the exception of traffic counters, which are available in status page only, and error, error-orig, chap-id, chap-challenge and popup variables, which are available in login page only). For example, to show a link to the login page, following construction can be used:
Variables
All of the Servlet HTML pages use variables to show user specific values. Variable names appear only in the HTML source of the servlet pages - they are automatically replaced with the respective values by the HotSpot Servlet. For most variables there is an example of their possible value included in brackets. All the described variables are valid in all servlet pages, but some of them just might be empty at the time they are accesses (for example, there is no uptime before a user has logged in).
List of available variables
Note: Some of the variables use hard coded http URL, if you are using https, you can construct the link in some other way, for example for $link-status, you can use https://$(hostname)/$(target-dir)status

radius<id>-<vnd-id>u - show the attribute identified with <id> and vendor ID <vnd-id> in unsigned integer form (in case RADIUS authentication was used; '0' otherwise)
Working with variables
$(if <var_name>) statements can be used in theses pages. Following content will be included, if value of <var_name> will not be an empty string. It is an equivalent to $(if <var_name> != ') It is possible to compare on equivalence as well: $(if <var_name> <value>) These statements have effect until $(elif <var_name>), $(else) or $(endif). In general case it looks like this:
Only one of those expressions will be shown. Which one - depends on values of those variables for each client.
Redirects and custom Headers
Starting from RouterOS 5.12 there are 2 new hotspot html page variables:
http-status - allows the setting of the http status code and message
http-header - allows the setting of the http header message
Example:
Note: Although the above appears to use the conditional expression 'if' it is in fact setting the 'http-status' to '302' not testing for it. Also the same for the variable 'http-header'. Once again, even though it uses an 'if' it is in fact setting the variable to 'Location' followed by the url set from the variable 'link-redirect'.
E.g. in the case where $(link-redirect) evaluates to 'http://192.168.88.1/login', then the HTTP response returned to the client will be changed to:
http-status syntax:
XYZ - The status code you wish to return. Should be 3 decimal digits, first one must not be 0
HTTP_STATUS_MESSAGE - any text you wish to return to the client which will follow the above status code in the HTTP reply
In any HTTP response it will be on the first line and will be as follows:
http-header syntax:
HTTP_HEADER_NAME - name of the HTTP header to be sent in the response
HTTP_HEADER_VALUE - value of the HTTP header with name HTTP_HEADER_NAME to be sent in the response
The HTTP response will appear as:
All variables and conditional expressions within HTTP_HEADER_VALUE and HTTP_STATUS_MESSAGE are processed as usual.
In case multiple headers with the same name are added, then only the last one will be used (previous ones will be discarded). It allows the system to override regular HTTP headers (for example, Content-Type and Cache-Control).
Customizing Error Messages
All error messages are stored in the errors.txt file within the respective HotSpot servlet directory. You can change and translate all these messages to your native language. To do so, edit the errors.txt file. You can also use variables in the messages. All instructions are given in that file.
Multiple Versions of HotSpot Pages
Multiple HotSpot page sets for the same HotSpot server are supported. They can be chosen by user (to select language) or automatically by JavaScript (to select PDA/regular version of HTML pages).
To utilize this feature, create subdirectories in HotSpot HTML directory, and place those HTML files, which are different, in that subdirectory. For example, to translate everything in Latvian, subdirectory 'lv' can be created with login.html, logout.html, status.html, alogin.html, radvert.html and errors.txt files, which are translated into Latvian. If the requested HTML page can not be found in the requested subdirectory, the corresponding HTML file from the main directory will be used. Then main login.html file would contain link to '/lv/login?dst=$(link-orig-esc)', which then displays Latvian version of login page: <a href='/lv/login?dst=$(link-orig-esc)'>Latviski</a> . And Latvian version would contain link to English version: <a href='/login?dst=$(link-orig-esc)'>English</a>
Another way of referencing directories is to specify 'target' variable:
After preferred directory has been selected (for example, 'lv'), all links to local HotSpot pages will contain that path (for example, $(link-status) = 'http://hotspot.mt.lv/lv/status'). So, if all HotSpot pages reference links using '$(link-xxx)' variables, then no more changes are to be made - each client will stay within the selected directory all the time.
Misc
If you want to use HTTP-CHAP authentication method it is supposed that you include the doLogin() function (which references to the md5.js which must be already loaded) before the Submit action of the login form. Otherwise, CHAP login will fail.
The resulting password to be sent to the HotSpot gateway in case of HTTP-CHAP method, is formed MD5-hashing the concatenation of the following: chap-id, the password of the user and chap-challenge (in the given order)
In case variables are to be used in link directly, then they must be escaped accordingly. For example, in login page, <a href='https://login.example.com/login?mac=$(mac)&user=$(username)'>link</a> will not work as intended, if username will be '123&456=1 2'. In this case instead of $(user), its escaped version must be used: $(user-esc): <a href='https://login.server.serv/login?mac=$(mac-esc)&user=$(user-esc)'>link</a>. Now the same username will be converted to '123%26456%3D1+2', which is the valid representation of '123&456=1 2' in URL. This trick may be used with any variables, not only with $(username).
There is a boolean parameter 'erase-cookie' to the logout page, which may be either 'on' or 'true' to delete user cookie on logout (so that the user would not be automatically logged on when he/she opens a browser next time.
Examples
With basic HTML language knowledge and the examples below it should be easy to implement the ideas described above.
To provide predefined value as username, in login.html change:
to this line:
Mikrotik Hotspot Logout
(where hsuser is the username you are providing)
To provide predefined value as password, in login.html change:
to this line:
(where hspass is the password you are providing)
To send client's MAC address to a registration server in form of:
https://www.example.com/register.html?mac=XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX
change the Login button link in login.html to:
(you should correct the link to point to your server)
To show a banner after user login, in alogin.html after
$(if popup 'true')add the following line:
(you should correct the link to point to the page you want to show)
To choose different page shown after login, in login.html change:
to this line:
(you should correct the link to point to your server)
To erase the cookie on logoff, in the page containing link to the logout (for example, in status.html) change:
to this:
or alternatively add this line:
before this one:
External authentication
Another example is making HotSpot to authenticate on a remote server (which may, for example, perform creditcard charging):
Allow direct access to the external server in walled-garden (either HTTP-based, or IP-based)
Modify login page of the HotSpot servlet to redirect to the external authentication server. The external server should modify RADIUS database as needed
Here is an example of such a login page to put on the HotSpot router (it is redirecting to https://auth.example.com/login.php, replace with the actual address of an external authentication server):
The external server can log in a HotSpot client by redirecting it back to the original HotSpot servlet login page, specifying the correct username and password
Here is an example of such a page (it is redirecting to https://hotspot.example.com/login, replace with the actual address of a HotSpot router; also, it is displaying www.mikrotik.com after successful login, replace with what needed):
Hotspot will ask RADIUS server whether to allow the login or not. If allowed, alogin.html page will be displayed (it can be modified to do anything). If not allowed, flogin.html (or login.html) page will be displayed, which will redirect client back to the external authentication server.
Note: as shown in these examples, HTTPS protocol and POST method can be used to secure communications.
HTTP header detection
The Hotspot login pages have access to HTTP headers by using $(http-header-name);
For example, there exists an ability to check the user agent (or browser), and will return any other content instead of the regular login page, if so desired. This can be used to disable automatic popups in phones, for example.
For example, to output 'SUCCESS' for users of a specific Firefox mobile version, instead of the login page, you can these lines on the top of the rlogin.html page in your hotspot directory:
This will DISABLE the login popup for Android Firefox 40 users.
One click login
It is possible to create modified captive portal for quick one click login for scenarios where no user or password is required.
What you need to do is:
Create user for this purpose. In example it is 'notsosecretuser' with password 'notsosecretpass'
Assign this user to user profile that allows specific/unlimited amount of simultaneous active users.
Copy original hotspot directory that is already generated in routers file menu on root level.
Modify contents of this copy directory contents.
Only one file requires modifications for this to work, the 'login.html'.
Original:
Modified:
What changed:
User and Password '<tr>' fields are hidden.
Both User and Password field values contain predefined values.
Changed 'OK' button value(name) to something more fitting.
Now upload this new hotspot folder back to router, preferably with different name.
Change settings in hotspot server profile to use this new html directory.
Firewall customizations
Summary
Apart from the obvious dynamic entries in the /ip hotspot submenu itself (like hosts and active users), some additional rules are added in the firewall tables when activating a HotSpot service. Unlike RouterOS version 2.8, there are relatively few firewall rules added in the firewall as the main job is made by the one-to-one NAT algorithm.
NAT
From /ip firewall nat print dynamic command, you can get something like this (comments follow after each of the rules):
Putting all HotSpot-related tasks for packets from all HotSpot clients into a separate chain.
Any actions that should be done before HotSpot rules apply, should be put in the pre-hotspot chain. This chain is under full administrator control and does not contain any rules set by the system, hence the invalid jump rule (as the chain does not have any rules by default).
Redirect all DNS requests to the HotSpot service. The 64872 port provides DNS service for all HotSpot users. If you want HotSpot server to listen also to another port, add rules here the same way, changing dst-port property.
Template Mikhmon
Redirect all HTTP login requests to the HTTP login servlet. The 64873 is HotSpot HTTP servlet port.
Redirect all HTTPS login requests to the HTTPS login servlet. The 64875 is HotSpot HTTPS servlet port.
All other packets except DNS and login requests from unauthorized clients should pass through the hs-unauth chain.
And packets from the authorized clients - through the hs-auth chain.
First in the hs-unauth chain is put everything that affects TCP protocol in the /ip hotspot walled-garden ip submenu (i.e., everything where either protocol is not set, or set to TCP). Here we are excluding www.mikrotik.com from being redirected to the login page.
All other HTTP requests are redirected to the Walled Garden proxy server which listens the 64874 port. If there is an allow entry in the /ip hotspot walled-garden menu for an HTTP request, it is being forwarded to the destination. Otherwise, the request will be automatically redirected to the HotSpot login servlet (port 64873).
HotSpot by default assumes that only these ports may be used for HTTP proxy requests. These two entries are used to 'catch' client requests to unknown proxies (you can add more rules here for other ports). I.e., to make it possible for the clients with unknown proxy settings to work with the HotSpot system. This feature is called 'Universal Proxy'. If it is detected that a client is using some proxy server, the system will automatically mark that packets with the http hotspot mark to work around the unknown proxy problem, as we will see later on. Note that the port used (64874) is the same as for HTTP requests in the rule #9 (so both HTTP and HTTP proxy requests are processed by the same code).
HTTPS proxy is listening on the 64875 port.
Redirect for SMTP protocol may also be defined in the HotSpot configuration. In case it is, a redirect rule will be put in the hs-smtp chain. This is done so that users with unknown SMTP configuration would be able to send their mail through the service provider's (your) SMTP server instead of going to the (possibly unavailable outside their network of origin) SMTP server users have configured on their computers. The chain is empty by default, hence the invalid jump rule.
Providing HTTP proxy service for authorized users. Authenticated user requests may need to be subject to transparent proxying (the 'Universal Proxy' technique and advertisement feature). This http mark is put automatically on the HTTP proxy requests to the servers detected by the HotSpot HTTP proxy (the one that is listening on the 64874 port) as HTTP proxy requests for unknown proxy servers. This is done so that users that have some proxy settings would use the HotSpot gateway instead of the (possibly unavailable outside their network of origin) proxy server users have configured in their computers. This mark is also applied when advertisement is due to be shown to the user, as well as on any HTTP requests done form the users whose profile is configured to transparently proxy their requests.
Providing SMTP proxy for authorized users (the same as in rule #13).
Packet Filtering
From /ip firewall filter print dynamic command, you can get something like this (comments follow after each of the rules):
Any packet that traverse the router from an unauthorized client will be sent to the hs-unauth chain. The hs-unauth implements the IP-based Walled Garden filter.
Everything that comes to clients through the router, gets redirected to another chain, called hs-unauth-to. This chain should reject unauthorized requests to the clients.
Everything that comes from clients to the router itself, gets to yet another chain, called hs-input.
Before proceeding with (predefined) dynamic rules, the packet gets to the administratively controlled pre-hs-input chain, which is empty by default, hence the invalid state of the jump rule.
Tumblr media
Allow client access to the local authentication and proxy services (as described earlier).
All other traffic from unauthorized clients to the router itself will be treated the same way as the traffic traversing the routers.
Unlike NAT table where only TCP-protocol related Walled Garden entries were added, in the packet filter hs-unauth chain is added everything you have set in the /ip hotspot walled-garden ip menu. That is why although you have seen only one entry in the NAT table, there are two rules here.
Everything else that has not been while-listed by the Walled Garden will be rejected. Note usage of TCP Reset for rejecting TCP connections.
Same action as in rules #7 and #8 is performed for the packets destined to the clients (chain hs-unauth-to) as well.
Reject all packets to the clients with ICMP reject message.

Mikrotik Hotspot Quick Setup Guide + Tips n Tricks for Hotspot !
Mikrotik Hotspot Page Template
A HOTSPOT is way to provide internet access to subscribers by means of an easy to use login interface as it does not require any client software/driver/dialer at user end. To log in, users may use almost any web browser , so they are not required to install additional software. It is also possible to allow users to access some web pages without authentication using Walled Garden feature.
In my personnel opinion, Hotspot is best suited for ad hoc situations, where you cannot control how the client has their machines configured. This is generally useful in Conference Rooms, Hotels, Cafe’s , Restaurants and likewise since people will come and go and you have few permanent users.
One big advantage of using hotspot is that HotSpot does not require any client software/driver/dialer. One disadvantage of using HotSpot is that its usually requires your client to open up his browser to log in before he can use your service . So users wanting to connect to your service using a router or some kind usually have a problem (as routers usually don’t support logging in via HTTP).
Following is a quick setup guide (CLI version) on how-to setup HOTSPOT server in Mikrotik using command interface.
This guide will help you in setting up . . .
# HOTSPOT server,
It will also configure DHCP to assign users IP Address from 172.16.0.1-172.16.0.255 ip pool . Change it accordingly.
I will add two Speed / Rate Limit Profiles, 256k and 512k, it will add a new user ‘zaib‘ password=test with 512k profile and user ‘test‘ Password=test with 256k Limit.
It will Add Default Route to internet which is DSL router ip 192.168.2.2 , Change it accordingly.
In this examples, Mikrotik have two interface cards.
Ether1 LAN = 172.16.0.1 / Connected with LAN/Hotspot users
Ether2 WAN = 192.168.2.1 / Connected with DSL router
DSL Router = 192.168.2.2
COPY PASTE SCRIPT. MAKE SURE YOUR MIKROTIK HAVE NO CONFIG , IT SHOULD BE EMPTY
Script Starts Below.
Basic Mikrotik Hotspot Page Template Downloads
TESTING CLIENT
Basic HOSTPOT is now configured. Now goto client pc, Upon booting, it will automatically receive ip from hotspot dhcp server, Open your browser and try to open any web site, You will see Hotspot Login page asking for credentials.
OR you can customize the hotspot login page to show your logo look like something
You can also make configuration changes via GUI. Please read the following guide for easy n step by step guide on HOTSPOT setup. http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Hotspot_server_setup
HOWTO CUSTOMIZE HOTSPOT LOGIN PAGE
You can use some fancy good looking login page. To customize the login page, Open Winbox , Goto Files , here you will see various files, look at hotspot/login.html , Drag n Drop this file to Desktop. See the attached picture.
Now open it using any html editor, I always prefer FRONTPAGE for editing HTML pages due to its easy interface. Customize it according to your need, You must have some prior knowledge of some website / html editing. You can insert your logo , advertisement and lot more in this page. After you are done, simply Upload the file back from where you downloaded it. use drag n drop feature. For beginners, I recommend you not to change any default variable, just ad your logo n text , After you are familiarized with the structure, you can build your own fully customized login page. – zaib
Good examples of hotspot login page can be found at following link.
Howto Redirect User to your selected site after successful Login
If you want that after successful login to hotspot , user must be redirected to your advertisement web site / any other web, then You will need to replace a variable on the hotspot/login.html document on the mikrotik router. You must replace $(link-orig) with the url of the website you want them to get after login.
There are two links that you have to replace, and both look like this:
Change them to
Now after successful login, user will automatically redirected to yoursite.com, you can also create your customized page showing users details using the variables available.
Howto Allow URL for some destinations for non authenticated Users
Sometimes it is required to allow access to some destinations / URLs for non authenticated users, for example if you have a web / radius server and you want that user can access it without login to hotspot, then you can add its ip address in walled garden.
HOTSPOT users can’t communicate with each other on LAN or PROXY-ARP issue
If you face hotspot broadcast issue / arp-poisoning , problem, Remove the address pool from the Hotspot to turn off Universal NAT,
As showed in the image below …
Howto Bypass authentication for Few Clients
This bypasses the hotspot by mac address.
(change xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx with your user’s mac address. You can also use the ip address to bypass.
You can also use mac-login or cookies features introduced in newer version to let auto login client.
HOTSPOT FLAGS,
HOTSPOT FLAGS, S – static, If you have the lease set as a static dhcp lease (assigns same ip every time device requests one) it shows as static. That is in “/ip dhcp-server lease” using “make-static”.
H – DHCP,
D – Dynamic,
A – If someone connects to the hotspot, they show up in the Hosts tab but are not yet authorized. Once they log in, they show up in the Active tab and are now authorized.
P – bypassed > Go to IP > Hotspot > IP Bindings > and add a new item. One of the “type” options is bypassed, which simply means they don’t have to login. From the wiki, “bypassed – performs the translation, but excludes client from login to the HotSpot”
Some more flags for ROUTE
X – Disabled, not active A – Active, in use C – Connected, a directly connected host route S – Static, added manually R – RIP route, received from the routing information protocol B – BGP, received from the border gateway protocol O – Received from the open shortest path first protocol M – Received from the mesh made easy protocol B – Blackhole route, packets are silently discarded U – Unreachable, discards the packets and sends an ICMP unreachable messages P – Prohibit, discards packet and sends an ICMP communication administratively prohibited message
Change Default ADMIN password for USERMAN
By default , there is no password for admin id for user-man. you can login by entering admin id and no password. this is dangerous.
Make sure you set password
/tool user-manager customer print
Basic Mikrotik Hotspot Page Templates
and note the number of admin id
Now change the password
/tool user-manager customer set password=zaib1234 numbers=0
Hotspot idle-timeout vs keep-alive-timeout (added 22-March-2019)
‘idle-timeout’ is used to detect, if client is not using Router networks, reaching timeout user will be logged out.
‘keep-alive-timeout’ used to detect, if is available and reachable, if check fails client will be dropped out, etc.
in other words,
idle timeout checks traffic. if user is online but is just not sending./receiving anything, he may reach its idle timeout.
keepalive timeout checks availability. keepalive timeout may only be reached if client is physically disconnected or turned off.

AU: Matteo Balsano is a famous singer who has been crushing on this one girl he saw every day behind a window many years ago, back when he first started recording his debut album and inspired his first big hit, “Princesa”. Luna Valente, professional Olympic skater turned actress is at a local (and very popular) talk show to promote her breakout movie. This is where it all starts.
ARE SOLTTEO GOING PUBLIC?
According to our sources, the answer is a big, bold, YES.
Your – and ours too! – favorite couple has reunited with their management to discuss ‘how to break it to the public’ according to our sources. Benson and Balsano, who have been linked by fans and media for a little over three months now, are finally ready to take a big step on their relationship and shout their love to the world!
“[Sol] thinks it’s time for them to tell everyone. She’s in love, and is tired of hiding it from her family, friends and especially of her fans.” But what about Matteo? “[He] has his doubts and is adamant of how the public will react to their relationship. He doesn’t want anyone attacking him or her for it.”
Earlier in the week, news of Benson’s retirement from professional skating broke and the fans were very vocal on their displeasure of Balsano’s – rumored- involvement, as well as the lack of public response in support for his girl. So, was this topic touched at all?
“Absolutely. [Matteo] cares about how his fans see him, and while he knows none of them would believe he was at fault, he still wants to clear the air and let them know the truth.” And what’s the truth exactly? “He never asked for [Sol] to quit. But he likes her and wanted to spend more time with her before their obligations forced them to be apart, so he suggested a break. Ultimately, it was Sol who chose she was done with the sport.” Talk about true love!
Either way, we’re all excited to see what’s next on this couple’s agenda, and can’t wait for them to blind us with their cuteness!

“Well? Is everyone suddenly deaf? Do I have to ask again?” Matteo’s lawyer – and best friend, if his snaps were any indication- tried to lighten the mood with a joke, grinning towards them. His eyes flickering to Nina’s the most.
“Not much.” Matteo answered, his gaze still on her. Luna huffed silently at him, making him grimace. Luna had the urge to stick her tongue out to him, but she had to remind herself she was an adult. Or trying to be one, anyway.
“So, no deal has been made? Has any party thrown any ideas?” Gastón questioned them.
Delfi nodded. “Actually, Miss Benson gave a very nice one before you came in.” Luna blinked a couple times. To be honest, her brain hadn’t even registered half the words that had came out of her mouth, her anger usually blinded – and deafened, too, apparently- her memory.
“I did?”
Thankfully, Delfi smiled before explaining, “yes, you did. A televised interview is brilliant; you don’t have any exclusivity with printed media, and Matteo’s can’t be compromised since it’ll be live on TV.” The older girl turned to her – soon to be ex-  manager, “I’d advice to choose Jazmín. Not only because of the ratings and demographics, but also because she’s close to us and would agree to not touch certain topics, as well as to open a spot on her show faster than any other person. The fact that Sol is somewhat familiarized with her doesn’t hurt, too.”
Tamara vaguely nodded at Delfi, but was quick to turn to her, silently asking her if that was what she wanted. Luna knew she’d suggested and all, but that had been in a moment of anger. Angry at Mariano for attacking Matteo, and angry at Matteo for being quick to judge, as well as resented he had ignored her for two weeks, to now try and act like nothing had happened. Truthfully, she didn’t think it was a good idea.
“I’m not sure, Delfi. You’ve said so yourself, I’m not properly ‘trained’ and if I end up saying something that could make everything worse I-”
Gastón frowned, interrupting her babbling. “But I thought this was your idea? Why would you suggest it if you’re not sure you can pull it off?” His words hadn’t any malice in them, yet, she still felt a twinge of offense, and Luna didn’t know how to answer him.
Her best friend did, though. “Sometimes our mouths are quicker than our brains.” Nina’s eyes went between Matteo and her, making Gastón grin, and nod in understand. She was full offended now, reaching out to her friend to pinch her arm in protest. Nina whelped silently, mouthing ‘sorry’ to her; her eyes, though, showed her amusement.
Delfi called for their attention, “we can train you, if you want.” She offered.
“I don’t think-” Mariano wanted to protest. Luna wanted none of it.
“Don’t you dare. Delfi’s been nothing but professional here, actually trying to help, don’t you dare minimize her work or insinuate she’s not capable of doing it.” Mariano pursed his lips, turning to Tamara in help. Tamara’s glare and shake of her head was all he got. When she was sure he’d given up, Luna acknowledged Delfi. “I’m not sure this is a good idea, sorry. If I’m being honest, Jazmín scares me; going to her show, alone, is terrifying.”
Delfi pondered her words for a moment, not really looking at her, or at anyone or anything in specific. She just stayed quiet, looking at nothing and biting her lip.
No one said anything for a couple of minutes, and Luna wasn’t sure if they were waiting for Delfi, or if they, themselves, were thinking her words over. Either way the silence was awkward for her, and silently prayed for someone else to break it.
Tamara did.
“If you excuse me, I think I’ll go ask where our drinks are at.” She put her gaze on her. “Care to go with me, Sol?” She couldn’t nod fast enough. Luna wasn’t too naïve, she knew Tamara wanted to speak to her, alone, but the silence was driving her mad and would take whatever excuse.
She felt Matteo’s eyes follow her out of the room.
Luna let out a big sigh as soon as the door closed. Tamara was a few steps ahead, waiting for her. “So, what do you want to tell me?”
“I wanted to apologize. It seems that I underestimated your relationship with Balsano, and going in there, asking you to ignore him was a bad idea, I’m sorry.” Tamara’s words were full of sincerity. However, they only confused her.
“What do you mean?”
The woman showed surprise. “You didn’t notice?”
“Would I be asking you if I had?”
Tamara smiled. “I suppose not, no. What I’m saying is, he seems to like you, and you ignoring him, God forbid, set him off. He kept looking at you, waiting for you to notice him, and when you didn’t, it got to the point of annoying him, making him lash out at Mariano and I.”
“But Mariano was provoking him, Matteo – well, I would be annoyed too if someone did the same to me.” Luna pointed out, crossing her arms as she walked.
“Perhaps.” Tamara agreed, her smile intact, “I do want you to know, though, that this is Matteo Balsano we’re talking about. Do you think he’s not used to being provoked in interviews? By the fans or the paps? He knows better than to give in their games.” Luna fell a few steps behind. Tamara stopped walking altogether, waiting for her to speak again.
“Be honest, Tamara, what are you trying to get at?”
“I think you know what I’m trying to say, munchkin. I could be wrong in what way exactly, but he cares about you.” Tamara sighed. “Either way, I was wrong when I advised you to ignore him. It’s obvious he took it personal and now both him and Delfi are upset.”
“I am upset with him, anyway. I wouldn’t have been completely cordial when I saw him, even if you hadn’t told me anything.”
“I don’t know the boy, but I think he’d rather have you mad at him than evasive.” Luna was over with having everyone else getting amusement out of her and Matteo, so she turned the conversation back to professional.
“Do you think I should do that interview?”
Her manager composed herself, her expression turning serious. “Honestly? Yes. Not for Balsano’s reputation, but to give your fans a peace of mind. We warned you a written statement could come off as careless, no matter how much you made it sound as grateful and loving as you feel. Most of them feel betrayed, confused, and back-stabbed. I know you feel like you can’t handle it, but you’re the bravest person I know, Luna, and you could beat Jazmín at her own gossip game if you wanted to. And, even if you don’t, Delfi is right; they have connections with her, they can blacklist any topic or question you don’t feel comfortable talking about. I would accept her offer of more training, too.”
Luna tried to sigh her nervousness away. She failed. “Can I think about it some more? I don’t want to rush it.”
Tamara smiled comfortingly, nodding once. “Of course, I wouldn’t expect anything else from you. It means I successfully taught you something.”
She frowned, feeling bad Delfi’s dab had affected her. “You did an amazing job as my manager, Tamara. I’m sorry I didn’t defend you back there, because honestly, you did more than good. You gave me choices, gave me a voice when it mattered, just like now. I’m thankful I had you with me.”
The woman sighed happily, giving her a hug. “Sweetest girl, that you are. I’m glad I could help you the years I did, you’re truly a brilliant, humble, talented young lady and to work with you has been my honor, munchkin.” She sighed again as she dropped her arms around her and started walking again. Her next words make her cackle. “Now, let’s go look for our drinks. I have a feeling I might need a bit of rum with mine.”
Matteo could only watch as the door closed, ignoring the urge of following right behind and beg Luna for a chance to talk. He’d obviously been blind to ignore she would get mad at him for blowing her off for weeks. Either he was losing his touch with women, or it went powerless when it came to her. Whatever it was, he was now in trouble with her and completely oblivious as to how to fix it.
“Dumb and dumber, come here.” Delfi called for Gastón and him, using her favorite nicknames for both. At this point it’d lost any malice behind them (there hadn’t been any to begin with, really), and he was used to it, so he followed suit when she signaled for them to huddle up in a circle. Gastón looked unsure of doing so, glancing quickly in Nina’s direction. He so was going to give him crap for it once they were done here.
“What’s the plan?” He wondered, eager to hear what Delfi had decided to do. 9 out 10 times, it turned out to be a good idea. The 10th time was usually him changing the plan.
“We have to convince her to agree to the interview. It’s the best counterattack, and if it’s with Jazmín we can make it foolproof, keeping it safe and predictable. We can even think and write her answers beforehand,” she looked at him, “it’s honestly the best way for her, Matteo.”
Matteo pursed his lips. “I trust you, Delfi, but I don’t want to force her to do something she’s not comfortable with. She’s mad enough at me as it is, pressuring her could make it worse.”
“We also can’t be one hundred percent sure Jazmín will agree to stick to a script. Remember last time? She went for the kill with Luna. She knew it would get her and Matteo in trouble, yet she still chose to do it.” Gastón reminded her, siding with him. It was in moments like this when Matteo was grateful he was his best friend.
Delfi cringed. “Well…”
Matteo knew that look. Delfi knew more than she was letting them see. “What?” he urged her to explain. Did she know about it beforehand? Why hadn’t she stopped it if she did?
“I couldn’t stop Ámbar, really! She went behind my back and coerced Jazmín to hint it and warned me literally seconds before she went live. You know I would’ve stopped it if I knew with time.”
“Blondie started this mess?” Gastón was incredulous. Matteo, however, was seeing red. It finally clicked on him that she’d purposefully had set Luna up back then. He’d recognized her smirk in the interview, and he’d completely forgotten to ask her about it further once it was over. He’d tried to play it off as her being her smug self when it was about being in public – he’d seen it enough when they dated not to- but now it made sense. And he could bet it was all about him eating those stupid cupcakes.
Delfi looked at him, worry in her eyes. “Matteo, don’t. Focus on what’s important right now, not in the past. Ámbar cut off Jazmín when it got out of hand, remember? She helped your girl once it was obvious she couldn’t save herself. Calm down.”
“She shouldn’t have started it in the first place! I thought she was Luna’s friend, and yet, you’re telling me she threw her to tigers? Exposed her to the tabloids knowing damn well she wasn’t ready for it? And for what? Because I ate her stupid dollar cupcakes?” he hissed, pulling his hair in frustration.
Delfi’s glare was pure ice, now. “I’m not going to fight with you about this, as it is between Ámbar and you. You want to complain about it? Do it with her, bitch your mouth off, if you want to. However, right now, we’re discussing how to protect your precious star from more attacks since you have decided you want to keep her in your life; because – surprise! - if she stays, then so will the news about her. So, focus, you idiot.”
Matteo was still seething, grinding his teeth together. Gastón palmed his back softly. “Dude, she’s right. I’ll help you hide Ámbar’s body later – and Jazmín’s, too, if you want- but now it’s not the time to get mad. Think of Luna, she needs our help more than she needs you to defend her honor with Ámbar.”
Finally, he relented. “Fine. I’ll deal with Ámbar later. How do I convince Luna to accept, though? She won’t even look at me right now.”
“That’s easy.” Delfi said, discreetly pointing to where Nina was sitting. “We talk to her, and she talks to your love. I’ll get Pedro to talk to Simón, so he does too. They’re her best friends and will convince her to jump off a cliff is that’s what they want.” Matteo frowned, Delfi rolled her eyes. “They’d never do that, oh my God.”
“Whatever. How do we convince Nina to convince Luna, then?” He looked at his best friend, silently asking him if he knew. Gastón merely shrugged.
“Do I have to do everything for you two idiots?” Delfina huffed, before raising her voice. “Nina, can you come, please?” she called, making the girl look up from where she was sitting, looking at her phone. She was with them in less than a minute.
“Hi.” She said shyly, blushing when Gastón threw a grin in her direction. Delfi turned to him and pretended to gag. Matteo was half mad still but teased his friend with a wink.
“I’m going to go straight to the point – you need to convince Luna to do that interview.”
Nina blinked once. Twice. “Okay.”
Matteo was skeptical. She just couldn’t have agreed that easily, he must’ve heard her wrong. “Really?”
“I’m not stupid, I know that’s the safest bet for my friend.” Nina frowned at him, “I can’t say it’ll be easy, though, she seems to be very scared after her last one with Jazmín. Maybe-” her frown deepened, stopping her thoughts from escaping her mouth.
“Maybe?” The three of them prompted.
“Maybe if she weren’t alone… If she had someone else to stop her from rambling, like Ámbar-”
Matteo objected. “Absolutely not. Ámbar can’t go with her, just no.” He shook his head multiple times, rejecting the idea.
“I wasn’t saying it has to be Ámbar. Simón, Tamara, or Delfi-” Nina threw him a quick look. “- even you could. Luna just needs someone to calm her rambles and assure her they won’t let her talk more than necessary. That’s all.”
Delfi’s eyes shone. “That’s brilliant! If Matteo goes too, and both make it clear they’re just friends and he had no input in her decision, everyone will have to believe they’re just friends, and we won’t have to give exclusives with ‘our side’ of the story, either. You’re a genius, Simonetti.”
“Um, aren’t you guys forgetting something?” Gastón interjected, “Luna couldn’t be madder with Matteo if she tried. How is she gonna agree not only to the interview, but to an interview with him?”
Matteo’s mood went down once again at the reminder. What he didn’t expect, though, was for Nina to punch him on his arm. “Ouch! What was that for?”
Nina huffed. “For making my best friend mad, of course. Do you know how hard that is to achieve? She’s all sunshine and rainbows most of the time!”
“You can punch him more later, Nina,” Delfi told her. Matteo glared at his manager, who simply waved him off, “but please tell us, how can this idiot fix it?”
Nina thought about it for a moment. “Well, apologizing, for starters.” Done. He’d beg if he needed to. “And being completely honest. No bullcrap like ‘I forgot to call you back’ or ‘my battery died’, Luna hates when people lie to her, and will hate to hear dumb excuses more. Even if it’s a hurtful truth, like not wanting to talk to her, she’ll prefer that to a lie.” Then she turned to him, her brown eyes sharp. “Why did you ignore her these weeks? Is it because you didn’t want to answer her question?”
“I panicked.” He admitted, ashamed of his cowardliness. “I wasn’t – still am not- ready to admit my reasons.”
“Why?” she wondered, curiosity getting the best of her.
“Because she will see him as the creep he is.” Gastón snorted. Matteo flipped him off.
Nina’s eyes shone with mischief. “So, it is true. You’ve known her longer than that night at JaJazmin.”
“Something like that.” He wasn’t going to spill everything to Nina, not before he told her best friend first; the only person he owed an explanation to was Luna, no one else.
The girl just stared at him for a couple of seconds, before nodding and changing the subject.
“Luna is more likely to forgive with a full stomach. After this meeting she has one with Yam, and after that we’re going out for lunch. I guess, if we casually bumped into each other at Yelao’s…”
Matteo felt hope expanding through his body. He might not owe an explanation to Nina, but he now owed her a big, great favor.
“We’ll be there.” Gastón confirmed for both, knowing well Matteo had no objections to that plan.
“I feel like I have to warn you, though,” Nina spoke to him, “since you were so against Ámbar accompanying Luna to the interview. She’s going to be there, as well as Simón.” Matteo pursed his lips, but he could acknowledge this was probably his only chance. Only the skies knew when Luna would talk to him again if he didn’t apologize soon.
“I’ll manage. I promise.” He had to. Just then, the door opened once again, revealing Luna, Tamara, and one of the receptionists, each carrying a small platter with drinks.
Delfi waited until all drinks where on the table, and the receptionist was gone, to star talking again.
“So, have you given any thoughts on the interview, yet?” She must’ve taken Luna by surprise, because she almost choked on her hot cocoa. He raised his arm on instinct to palm her back, but 1) she was very far away, and 2) he was sure she’d probably rather choke and die than having him help her; so, he put his arm down as fast as he could.
Tamara answered for her. “Could you give her a couple of days? She wishes to think it over before making any decision.” His manager frowned for a bit, ultimately nodding and glancing quickly to him. He understood the look; Matteo had those days to make it right between the two and convince her.
“Of course, of course. But please try not to take too much time, it’s only going to get harder for you both the longer you wait.” Luna gave Delfi a thumb up, not quite done with her coughing. Matteo had to bite his tongue to stop himself from asking if she was okay. Thankfully, Gastón approached her with a glass of water.
“Thank you.” She coughed a couple more times, before drinking the whole glass, sending Gastón a small smile. “Are we done with this yes? I kind of have an appointment with Yam, she’s making my dress for the wedding.”
Now it was Matteo’s turn to choke on his lungo. “Wedding?” Delfi palmed his back a couple of times.
“Yam’s getting married and we’re her bridesmaids. She’s insisting on making our dresses herself, since Mora is making hers; we have our first fitting today.” Nina explained to him. He could bet she was having fun at his reaction, if her smile was any indication.
“Nina.” Luna called for her friend, shaking her head slightly. Then she turned to him, and Matteo was relieved she didn’t look mad. Just a bit serious. “So, are we done? Or do you have something else to discuss with us?” He wanted so bad to tell her no. That they weren’t anywhere near done, that they hadn’t even started yet. But he wouldn’t be talking about the meeting.
“Since you have stuff to think over, I’d say we’re done. For now, that is.” Delfi answered her, “if you choose to it, then I’ll schedule another meeting and we’ll go into more detail about what kind of deal we can make with each other.”
“We’ll get in touch in a couple of days.” Tamara agreed, moving to gather her things from a chair, urging the lawyer to finish his drink, before saying her farewells. When it was his turn for her goodbye, she was serious as she took his hand, and whispered. “Can I trust her with you? Will you take care of her, the way she deserves?”
He didn’t even think about it before answering. “Yes.”
The older woman stared for a moment, her eyes searching for something. Whatever she found, or didn’t find, was enough for her. “Good.”
The lawyer only gave him a brief nod to everyone before following Tamara out. Once they left, Luna and Nina started their goodbye’s too. Nina offered him a quiet ‘see you later’, which he responded with a grateful smirk. Luna hesitated for a second as she stood in front of him, biting her lip.
“I’m very sorry, Luna.” Her green eyes set on his, “if you have time I can explain, I-”
His girl sighed. “I have no time for this, Matteo.” He recoiled at her words, not expecting her to be so… sharp. She sighed again when she saw his reaction. “I literally have no time right now. We’re late to Yam’s already, but…”
“But?” He sounded hopeful, and he wasn’t ashamed to admit it.
“But if you have the guts to call me again, maybe we can talk about it some other time.”
He felt his grin appear on his face and couldn’t resist hugging her. “I will! I’m so, so very sorry, Luna I swear-”
“Yeah, yeah, but don’t you think you’re in the clear! I’m still angry at you, and I’m expecting the truth and nothing but the truth, okay?” she was being serious, he could tell. She broke the hug quickly, arching her brows to get the point across. He saluted her.
“Yes, ma’am. I promise.” His face was starting to hurt from grinning so much, so wide. Luna didn’t return the smile, yet, he could see her eyes softening a little when she looked at him.
He watched her – and Nina, but mostly her- leave, the weight on his heart dropping almost completely now that she had agreed to give him a chance to explain.
“I can’t believe she actually agreed to hear you out so quickly. I’m impressed.” Gastón broke the silence a couple of seconds after they left, whistling lowly and palming his shoulders.
“Same. I would’ve let you on the dog house for at least another week. Either she’s too good, or…” Delfi quietened down, thinking over her words.
“Or?”
“Nothing, actually. She’s too good, period. We need to toughen her up.” She sounded worried at this, pursing her lips. “Are you guys still ‘casually’ meeting them up for lunch?” Gastón and him looked at each other, then nodded. “Be careful. The place you’re going is lowkey enough for me to not advice you to take a guard but stay alert of your surroundings. It’s not only you, but her, and Simón and Ámbar. It can get wild in a minute.”
She was right, of course, she was always right. “We’ll be careful. Thank you for worrying, Del.” Then his brain caught up on the other subject. “Wait, since when does Ámbar and Simón are acquainted with each other?”
Delfi grimaced. “You don’t even want to know, believe me. Those two are a mess.”
Gastón gasped, laughing out loud. “You don’t mean… those two…?” he suggested, wiggling his brows.
“What? No!” She made a disgusted face. “The studio from Ámbar’s new musical wanted the RB to write a song for her to sing, but Simón’s having a hard time meeting Á’s taste. He’s apparently not ‘emo’ enough to write about her character.”
“’Emo’? Why does she need him to be ‘emo’?” His friend asked the same question that was on his mind.
“The song’s to be sung at her character’s lowest point, I think. It needs to be emo AF.”
“And Simón can’t be emo?”
Delfi raised her left brow. “Have you ever heard an emo song from the RB?”
“No.”
“Exactly.” She said in an obvious tone. “Okay, losers, I gotta go. Pedro and I are having lunch, and I’ll run our plan by to him, be careful and try not to make too much drama.” She looked pointedly at him at the last part.
“It’s not my fault drama finds its way into my life, okay?”
“Be serious! If I hear from someone else, you two went at each other’s throats in public…”
“Yeah, yeah, you’ll tell everyone I have a micropenis.”
Gastón choked on air, barely holding in his laughter. Somehow, even after hearing that threat at least three times a month, he still found it funny.
“And they will believe me.” Delfi threw him one last warning look, before kissing his cheek, only giving Gastón a wave as goodbye as she left them alone.

I'm crying. I'm sad, so now Zayn has Gigi eyes on his chest. How Liam agreed on this? Seeing his husband chest and seeing her eyes? What kind of conspirancy it is? I'm done, seriously. They didn't allow them publicity talk and now this?
Hey Nonnie!
First of all, I hope that you are feeling better, and I want to kindly suggest that you take a step back from the fandom. Zayn’s birthday wasn’t the best, but it isn’t the end of the world, and it’s unhealthy to be so emotionally invested in these stunts. Also I personally don’t think that Liam should have any control over what Zayn chooses to put on his body. A relationship doesn’t mean you dictate a person’s appearance. That being said, I’m sure Zayn wouldn’t do anything without consulting his actual S/O, and to be fair, Liam already went through this, so Zayn is just returning the favor in a more annoying location.
For anyone who missed the show, Zigi was out in full form, complete with the funniest pap walk they’ve done in a while, a plethora of sketchy pictures (they still can’t kiss or hold hands properly LMAO), and a few new tattoos for the birthday boy. What these tattoos are and whether they are permanent is up in the air, but tentatively I’m seeing a pair of eyes that resemble a certain beard among other things. (Hmm, where have I heard this song before? Same song, 3rd verse, @Ziam.)
Apparently Zayn was just so overcome with love for Gigith that he tattooed her eyes on his chest so she can look at herself when he wears low cut shirts? I don’t buy that for a second. Some alternatives: once again, these eyes belong to someone else (generic or specific, idk) and Zayn is going to allow them to be attributed to his beard for the sake of keeping up the stunt. Or perhaps he got a tattoo to prove his affection for her in exchange for avoiding something worse, like an engagement or more intense stunting next year. Regardless of what’s true, I’m assuming this was the best option Zayn had.
Does this mean Zigi will be around for a while? Probably. And that sucks. Let’s talk about how things could be worse:For starters, she could be completely irrelevant like all the other beards. They all drag their respective victims down continuously because no one knows who they are seperate from the boys. At least Gigith has a flourishing career and her own fanbase that she exposes Zayn to regularly. His team won’t promote him normally, but she’s keeping him in the public eye on a regular basis in a way that appeals to society (hetero bs). Yes, she inserts herself in literally everything he does, which I know is annoying, but imagine what Zayn would have to go through if he got a new beard? First of all, the aftermath from a split will definitely paint him in a negative light, and then he’d have to stunt with/love all over a random new chick to establish how #real their relationship is. Zigi is old news, which means he only has to do the minimum to maintain it. Does it suck? Yes. Is it the best option for Zayn at this current point in time? Probably.
And that’s why I’m not too bothered by this shit show and lack of split. Zayn is going to do what’s best for him, if he can, and I think he’s doing that right now. All we can do is love and support him, and remember that eventually this contracted relationship will end.
