Unfortunately, my interest in witchcraft is not enough to keep this blog going, as you may have noticed.
I moved to twitter if you want to see my art:
https://twitter.com/GloomMars?s=09
I'm planning to post some witchy drawings, maybe little travel altars with characters inside would be fun!
I'd appreciate it if you gave my art a chance ^^
I'm still learning, especially with digital art.

Coronavirus - tips
Hello guys, long time no see! So, during this time of crisis, I figured I'd post a little something.
》 first off: don't trust everything you see online! Not even this post! Be sure to fact check!
》 when you come home from outside, take off your shoes and go wash your hands. If you have a dog, clean its paws before entering.
》 don't panic! It's a pandemic and we should be careful, but you're likely going to be okay. Don't use this crisis as an excuse to be rude to any asian or Italian people. There's no reason for you to be.
If you want to include some magick into this situation, here's some ideas I have!
》 create a sigil that "holds the virus" and before going outside draw it on the palms of your hands with a marker or pen that washes off easily. When you come back home, wash it off completely!
》 if you feel anxious about the situation, sit down and take some deep breaths. Meditate for a while and ground yourself: this is not the end of the world. It's tough, but it's going to pass.
》 if you can't get out of the house, open the window and feel some fresh air on your face! You can use some scented candles or incense to change the air in your room.
》 use water and soap as cleansing tools. Be thorough with them and visualize stress washing off of you.
It's not much, but there we go!
I hope you all stay safe! Remember not to panic, it will only worsen the situation if we start acting irrationally.
If you need to talk, dm me anytime. Cheers! ♡

Witchy mental self care
If you're even just a bit familiar with modern Witchcraft, you probably know about the self care culture in the practice.
From magical baths to anti anxiety spells, we have all kinds of tips and tricks disguised as magick to help us through the day.
Here's some small witchy tips I know/came up with:
》 on the days you can muster up some energy, try getting out of the house for a little magickal adventure: collect leaves, pinecones, berries and mushrooms; do a little sunbathing; take pictures of nature; do some cloud divination. Just think of everything you do as magick: you're not just walking, you're connecting with nature!
》 if you have trouble sleeping, boil some bananas, pour the water into a cup, add cinnamon or vanilla and drink it. It should help a little.
》 if you have a stress migraine, lay down and place a crystal on your forehead. The slight pressure can help with the pain.
》 before going to sleep, take some time to light and incense and walk around the room to make sure the smoke gets in every corner. Choose an incense scent just for this: after a while, your brain will make the connection between the scent and sleeping, helping you fall asleep. This also goes for essential oils or scented candles. Make sure to put out the candles before going to bed.
》 spreading incense smoke is also a way to get a little more relaxed before bed
》 talk to yourself. OUT LOUD. It may seem silly but this helped me a lot personally. You can do this in various ways:
> simply think out loud. Problems that seemed huge feel a little easier to deal with then.
> if you have a very multifaceted personality like me, you can reply to yourself. It's kinda funny to go from "emo thoughts" to "mom friend", which uplifts my mood a little.
> create a character to talk to. Make sure they're the caring and kind type though.
> talk to your deities if you believe in any.
》 keep a little journal on a cheap notebook. Scribble down how you feel, or doodle it. The less perfect it is, the more emotion it shows, so don't worry about it. Visualize all your frustration, your sadness, your anxiety going into that page. Now seal it: write a sigil on top of it, smear it with black ink, drip candle wax on it. Whichever works best for you.
》 make a little self care box and keep it next to your bed. You can put a journal in it, nice smelling things, anti stress objects, photos, letters of appreciation written by your friends, a plushie... anything
》 open a window and let the air clean itself. Look outside and let the wind blow on your face. Then, wash it. Light a candle and feel the warmth on your cheeks. Apply some earthy oils on your skin. You've just cleansed your face with the four elements!
》 meditate with a mantra. "I will be okay", "I'm not my mental illness", "It's just my disorder talking", "Being alive is enough", "I can learn to love myself" are some suggestions. Repeat it our loud or in your head while you take deep breaths. Doing 5 minutes of it is okay.
》 Crystals, dice, leaves, anything solid and smooth can become an anti stress ball.
》 read my post about ring magick ;)
》 keep yourself occupied. Read up on magickal stuff, or just an interest of yours. Givee that series you are interested in a try, even if it feels exhausting.
》 split your tasks into small steps and only think about those. Do as many as you can: you've done great. The rest can wait. You can write them down, fold the sheet of paper and put it in a jar along with some herbs, crystals and trinkets that make you feel happy. A jar of little accomplishments you can read when you feel really bad.
》 if you feel the urge to self harm, put some ice on your arm or wrap a rubberband around it, pull it and snap it against your arm. It will hurt, but at least it won't leave nasty scars. You can enchant the ice or band with the intent "help me overcome this". You can also write on yourself, with the least toxic pen you have, why you want to hurt yourself. Let the emotions out like that.
(If you couldn't stop the urge to self harm, remember to take care of the cuts. Disinfect them, wash them and put gauze around them. If you don't have the necessary items, you can place a tissue on the wounds and keep it in place with your hand or something else. As long as it doesn't cut off the circulation or hurt your skin.)
This is all I could think of. Thank you for reading and stay safe :).
If you need anything, reach out to me whenever.

Alright, a bit of a different post but here we go!
I'm looking for some people to talk to! Hopefully to be actual friends, not just a one time chat. Irl has been hard haha.
Some info: I'm an 18 y/o Italian girl, so it would be cool to find Italian friends, but any are okay! I'd prefer someone inbetween 17-19 y/o.
-asexual (I can help if you wanna rant about your sexuality and stuff)
-loves drawing (we can draw together)
-very passionate about her fandoms (Good Omens, Umbrella Academy, Vocaloid, Spn, Sherlock, Broadchurch, Steven Universe and more... don't judge them haha)
-I speak English and Italian, I'm trying to learn Japanese (it's a dream I had as a child)
-I wanna study psychology and maybe criminology, so I love talking abt that!
-I suffer from a mental illness, so please be mindful
-I dabble in witchcraft, but not as a belief, more as an interest
Generally, I like chatting and I'll always reply. Please be active in convos though.
I would love actually meeting someone in real life, which is probably not gonna happen but one can hope :P

You're bored with magick.
Yes, I'm talking to you: the operson reading this who's bored with magick.
You've learned to read tarot, you've done some spells, you made your little altar... but now you're just bored.
All that enthusiasm you had when you started is gone.
"What do I do?" You wonder. Was all of that for nothing?
Well, my friend. You might have burned yourself out.
What does that mean?
It means that you've spent all your energy at the beginning and now you feel like you've got nothing more to do.
Well, keep reading.
What I'm going to suggest might not work for you, but I think it could be interesting nonetheless.
First: don't force yourself
You entered this world expecting to change your mindset and habits just like that, but that's very unlikely to work out.
You can't pressure yourself into doing a spell everyday, talking to a deity at every chance you get, do rituals, study etc etc.
I think that it's best to incorporate magick into your life slowly and just a little. You're going to have periods of time when you'll be diving headfirst into research, but you'll have a lot of time where you'll be too busy, too tired. You won't really care about chatting with Zeus.
How can you do this?
I have some suggestions for you! I'll give you examples of things you might already do and how to spice them up with some magick!
Art: maybe you're really into painting, taking photos, dancing. Well, why don't you turn it into something more magickal? Doodle deities in your free time to connect with them, try out art spells, photograph nature as a way to honor it, do energy work while dancing, make a little creativity jar, create tarot spreads to give you ideas on what to create.
Me-time: if you have some time for yourself, you could spend it by talking out loud. Yes, you're not crazy if you do that. Talk to yourself about your day, an idea you have, something that's making you sad; learn to answer to yourself as if you were two different people. Look into shadow work. If you're more of a sexual person, look into sex magick: easy to incorporate!
Passive hobbies: by this, I mean hobbies that require you to consume rather than create. Reading, watching a movie, listening to music. You can use reading as a way to train your imagination, you can watch movies about magick, find songs to put you into a witchy mood.
Self care: stir your intentions into you drink, add magickal herbs to your bath, take a nap with a crystal, do some relaxation exercises when you wash your hands or have a shower, draw sigils on the steamed mirror, create a new divination method to read cookies and milk.
Other little things: pay attention to nature while you take walks or travel to school/work. Imagine an aura of comfort when you're around your friends. Keep a little cactus or succulent around. Light a candle or incense sometimes to give a nice scent to your room/house. Read some blogs about magick.
Finally, some reminders
Being a witch doesn't require a minimum amount of witchy actions every day.
Witchcraft is personal to you and nobody has the right to tell you how to do it.
You don't have to use magick everyday.
You don't have to have an altar, crystals, tarot cards, plants and herbs, incense or candles to be a witch.
You don't have to talk to deities, astral travel, lucid dream or do energy work to be a witch.
You can turn anything into witchcraft.
You drank water? Recharged with the power of nature.
You cooked some pasta? Give it a meaning you see fit and there you go. Kitchen magick.
You had a nice night by yourself? Ritual for Aphrodite.
Don't justify your actions to yourself for anyone else.

Cursing
How does it work in psychology?
Have you ever been manipulated by somebody? That is, in a way, a curse. Talking to someone with the intent to make them believe something bad will happen to them is basically a curse.
But, if we do a curse without talking to the target, does it work?
In a sense. Anything bad happening to them we'll think it's our curse. We can influence people just by being around them.
But overall the curse will mostly affect us.
How does a curse affect us then?
By cursing, we often put ourselves in a negative mindset: we're angry, sad, vengeful.
We'll be vulnerable to after curse effects, which are the price to pay for wishing badly on someone.
How to curse without affecting ourselves.
First of all: reflect on why you're doing this.
Is it out of spite? Is it because they've treated you or someone you care about terribly? Is it for fun? Is it petty?
Now, is this really that important? Can you avoid this?
If you're just trying to get revenge, avoid cursing. Banish them from your mind instead. Cleanse yourself.
If the curse working is realistic or if it would take you little energy and be a mischievous act more than an angry curse, go ahead.
Now, this is just what I recommend. Don't give yourself away to the people who hurt you. Leave them behind instead of getting hung up on them with curses.
How do I curse someone?
If you're being impatient and skipped to this part, go back up. It's very important.
Here are some curses.
Contact sigil
Design or find a sigil that means something like bad luck, karma or anything like that. Nothing huge or specific.
Add the sigil as the person's picture on your contacts list.
Now, leave it there. Quick and easy. Don't think back to it too much.
Tarot
Draw two cards.
One will be the curse, one will be the period of time it will act in.
Another quick and easy curse. This is good because it's not decided by you, but your subconscious will link the most likely scenario to the card.
Letting out negativity
This is a simple tealight candle ritual to let out negativity into the world, away from you and towards those who caused it.
》 pure white candle (it needs to carry all your energy, it shouldn't hold any others)
》 obsidian (the calm after the disaster, this stone represents you after the ritual)
》 amethyst to protect it and clear quartz point to enhance it
》 add any red (pain, danger) and black (mystery, fear) objects, herbs, crystals or decorations you want
》 sprinkle ashes on the candle or place used matches next to it (the warning to whoever crosses with the released energy)
》place any object associated with your deities or guides around the candle: they'll support you
》 take a piece of paper and write your intention on it: it should be something along the lines of letting go of negativity. Make it angry, make it scary. Just get it out of your system
Now light the candle and imagine the negativity come out of your mouth, ears and nose in the form of smoke. Let it leave the place
Curse self care
Always practice some sort of self care before and/or after a curse.
Drink a hot beverage, listen to nice music, take a relaxing bath, cleanse yourself, purify the room, read a little.
Place citrines to bring happiness, amethysts to protect you.
Spray yourself with rose water.
Be safe guys. If you need anything, AT ALL, please ask me in the comments or in a message.

Tealight candle rituals
Heya!
I'm back at it again with my candles. So, recently I've been working A LOT with my tealight candles and I found a way of using them that I love!
I don't know if it's been done exactly this way, but I didn't really find it the way I do.
Tealight Rituals and Offerings
For all my tired witches, this is great.
I wanted to do some little rituals for deities (which are representations to me, not actual divine beings. Read my Atheist guide on witchcraft to know more!)
But I'm not super into praying and meditating, especially cause I don't have time. And... I'm kinda hyperactive.
So I found this really nice way to give them offerings/do rituals in a very concrete, symbolical way!
Tealight candles are perfect because they're cheap, easy to use and cute.
Ingredients
》 tealight candle (white, or any colour/scent you associate with the deity)
》 crystals associated with your deity
》 amethyst
》 clear quartz point
》 offering dish
》 any herbs, glitters etc that you associate with your deity
When to do this
I suggest doing this before bed, so that the candle flame can lull you to sleep.
How to
Cleanse your space and relax. This is a nice, calming activity, so we don't want any negative emotions if we can help it. Do some meditation, listen to some music, drink some tea, just relax. Just don't look at your phone.
Choose your ingredients, don't plan the ritual/offering. It has to be spontaneous!
Place the dish on your altar, in the centre. On top of it, put the candle.
Now, prepare to decorate! Sprinkle glitter and herbs on the candle, place crystals around it on the plate, add trinkets if you want to.
Go with your instincts and give meaning to everything you use.
Now, place the clear quartz point on the altar in the space between you and the dish. This is to enhance the properties of the ingredients.
Add an amethyst or two to protect the whole thing and you're done!
Light the candle and go to sleep. The flame will burn your intentions in the air as you sleep, also giving you a nice moment to distract yourself before sleep.
Let me know if you need help with it or if you have suggestions to add!
Also, if you do this, definitely reblog this post with a photo of it the next morning! ^^

Friendship troubles spread
Since I've been going through some tough times with a couple of friends, I decided to ask my Tarot's opinion.
If you're in the same situation, here's how you do the reading!
》 Draw 3 cards for every friend involved in the situation you're dealing with. For me, the friends I'm having trouble with are two, so I picked 6 cards.
》 Draw 1 card to represent yourself.
》 Place your card in the centre and the trios around it. Make sure each friend's trio is clearly separated.
Now, you're ready to read.
Here's the meanings I assigned:
》 For the 3 friend cards
I. What happened?
II. What's happening?
III. How I should go about this with them.
》 For your card
I. What is my status in the situation/how am I doing/what's in store for me?
Easy as that.

Herne The Hunter
After working with Herne for a while I started visualizing him in a certain way.
I want to share with you what I got from working with him!
》 Herne is not Cernunnos or Pan
》 Herne is a ghost the same way he is a deity
》 He might seem scary, but Herne is incredibly sweet and calm. He is a protector
》 Herne is a young and beautiful man: he was Richard II's favourite hunter, a kind known for surrounding himself with men. He's said to be gay, which is probably true
》 Herne's associated stone is Tiger's Eye because it reminds me of wood
》 Herne can be jealous and protective of his charge
I will update the list as I go, but this is what I've gathered from my experience :P

Witchy routines
Heya! It's been a few days since we've last seen each other!
Would you like to explore with me the... extremely complicated and confusing world of routines?
Now, maybe you love them, but I find it so hard to make myself a new one and stick to it. I'm not used to it, I want to do my own thing. Witches are rebellious, man.
But, while I do not have a morning routine, I have a bedtime one! In this post, I want to talk about this and (try to) help you build your own routine!
First up though: it's okay if you can't change your routine. It's okay if you're too tired, if you skip it sometimes, if you change it. It's okay if you're okay.
Don't push yourself too much, alright?
My bedtime routine
I am anxious.
Which is something that a lot of you probably relate to.
I get anxious thoughts before sleep, I am scared of the dark, I struggle breathing right when in bed... etc.
Now, magick can't fix anxiety, but it can help.
Cleansing
After getting ready for sleep, I light up my incense and walk around my room moving it in counterclockwise circles in the air. Sometimes I whisper to the bad and stale energies to go away.
This lets me fall asleep to a nice scent and light air, but it also helps me notice the importance I give to things and spots based on how much I go over them, and also lets my body move freely for a little (I wear underwear and a tank top to bed and I cleanse in those as well).
You can visualize the air getting clean, but if you're tired, you don't have to.
Tarot
I don't do this all the time, but often I like to draw a
Protection
I have a hard time falling asleep because of my fear of the dark.
Some time ago I started placing an Amethyst near each wall of the room.
To me, Amethyst is THE protection crystal, but you can use whatever you feel will help you the most.
I then climb into my bed and point to each one and go "from South, to West, to North, to East, I am protected" and I visualize a purple barrier activating aroung the walls of my room. (Ignore the weird order of the directions)
If I'm feeling especially scared, I also visualize a light around me and expand it around the house.
It makes my irrational fears go away, or at least calm down.
If you wish for a longer explanation/tutorial for how I do this, please comment with "crystal walls tutorial" and I'll gladly write a detailed guide.
Deities
This part is not for everyone, since it has to do with deities, but let me remind you that I am not religious: deities to me are representations of concepts. I talk to them like people talk to themselves. It's pretty nice!
What I do is that I take my patron's gemstone, sit in bed and visualize myself going into a forest and meeting him. We talk, he asks what I am there for and then he guides me to dim the lights, put away my glasses and get comfy.
He then waits with me as my other goddess picks me up to get into my wonderland and that's when I tend to fall asleep.
It's kind of a personal thing, so I won't go into detaill about what I think about or how I visualize this stuff: you can pray to them, tell them about your day, anything.
And that's literally it.
Yeah I know. It's not much but it definitely helps and it's great for avoiding looking at your screen before bed (DON'T DO THAT. IT'S HARMFUL.)

Depression candle
Heya guys!
So, I've been in those depressed witch hours lately and I wanted to do something about it.
As I scrolled through my various terrible coping mechanisms, I decided to... make a candle!!
My depression isn't gone, candles can't do that, but it made me do something and I felt a little better.
I see candles as the opposite of depression: active, warm, a light in the dark.
You just melt a tea light candle, place some herbs and crystals in another candle's container and pour the wax.
These are the things I used:
-a lavender tea light candle
-rose petals (love)
-citrine (happiness)
-amethyst (protection)
-tourmaline (warding off negative energy)
-glitter (reminded me of fireworks)
Just use what you have around. You can also anoint the candle, carve a sigil on the bottom/sides, anything that you feel like should be done.
Then, when you're feeling down, light the candle and watch it burn out completely.
Don't hold back your pain: let yourself feel like shit. It's sad but it's also kind of serene, as you watch the flame flicker.
Thank the candle.

Ring magick
I wanted to add something for my witchy tips post.
I talked about rings there and I want to explore their uses more!
Rings as charms
This is the most known way to use rings. Give purpose to it, wear it, and there you go!
Rings as circle casters
While wearing your ring, turn it clockwise to cast the circle and turn it counterclockwise to close it.
Especially nice if you have a ring with a turning piece.
Rings as mood spells
Ring spells are not very powerful generally, but mood ones are pretty good.
Think of it like when we fidget with a ring when we're nervous.
Breathing deeply and clearing your mind, turn it counterclockwise to banish a bad mood (anxious thoughts, anger, more energetic negative moods work best) and then turn it clockwise to bring in a good mood (relaxation, peacefulness, clearer mind.)
These ring spells work for when you're too upset to do another spell.
Rings as chargers
As they touch your hands so much, rings are extra charged with energy! For that reason, setting it on a table and placing something inside them or just on top can recharge theat object.
Useful for charging tiny bottles, crystals or other charms.
Where do I wear the ring?
This part is how I interpret our hands and fingers, so you could agree or disagree.
Left hand or right hand?
The hand you use to write with is your dominant hand. It is related to the Sun.
The other one is the supporting hand. It is related to the Moon.
Which finger should I wear the ring on?
The pinky= Fire
The ring finger= Water
The middle finger= Air
The index finger= Earth
The thumb= the Abstract/the Spirit Realm (abstract is if you don't believe in spirits)
Explanations and meanings
Pinky= the shorter and less present but still extremely important. Associated with energy, taking action to get to a goal, energy going outwards.
Ring= the one that connects to our heart, usually as long as the index, indicating that our Earth is made of water and earth. Associated with emotions, love, intuition, energy is spreading.
Middle= if we spread our fingers, this one stands the tallest towards the sky. Associated with rationality, intelligence and thought. Energy goes inwards.
Index= usually as long as the ring finger, and the second most important one. Associated with the senses, grounding ourselves, nature and work. Energy is shielding us.
Thumb= separated but still present and the most important. Associated with either concepts, ideas, creativity and inspiration, or spirituality and faith. Energy is a connection.
What kind of ring should I wear?
Material
Gold= Sun
Silver= Moon
Black silver= Space
Copper= Planets
Wood= Earth
Other metals= see the properties of each metal
Tips
If it has a gemstone, read its meaning and you can use it accordingly.
Give a meaning to the decorations!
If your ring leaves a green or black stain, it's either bad quality or the reaction of the metal with the salts in your skin. Can happen with silver and copper especially. Mine stopped after a day, but if it doesn't, here is what you can try:
Avoid contact with soaps and lotions.
Apply clear nail polish on the inside of the ring. You'll have to reapply it every once in a while.
Find stainless steel, platinum or rhodium plated rings. Most white gold rings fall in the last category.
If your ring leaves red marks, irritated skin and rashes, stop wearing it and ask a doctor.
There we have it! I think that's all. If you have questions or suggestions, leave them in a comment, a reblog or a private message and I'll answer!

Witchy tips!
Hello!
It is me again... I decided to make this post with random little things that could help some witch out there.
Next time you go to a supermarket, see if they have a candle section. Mine has a small one, but I found a pack of 30 tea light scented candles! They're awesome for short to medium length spells!
If you like cleansing your room with incense, you don't have to use the whole stick. I cleanse my bed and myself before going to sleep and it only burns a tiny portion. Stop it by dipping it into water and reuse it!
Rings are great charms! I have my black ring that represents asexuality. If you have one of those rings with a piece that rotates arounf the ring, you can use it for small spells! Rotate it clockwise for attracting or protecting, and counterclockwise to banish! You can also use it for casting circles.
If you have some quartz points, you can build a little charging station for something you really need. Just arrange the points around the object you want to charge overnight!
You can often find crystals in flea markets. I usually find clear or rose quartz, amethyst and citrine, sometimes even tiger's eye or sodalite!
If you have tiny pieces of crystals that broke off, don't throw them away. Put them somewhere safe and use them for spells instead of your bigger crystals.
Pinterest, tumblr, youtube and amino are all good places to find spells, tarot spreads, recipes, guides and information about anything. Do a little bit of research!
To practice tarot, take 5 cards and try to tell a story with them. You can start with less and increase the number, as long as there's a beginning, middle and ending!
If you find a feather, check out what the color of it means. It could be a sign.
You can use body mist as a cleanser. Spray it in the air above you and let it fall on your body.
You can clean crystals in water if their Mohs scale is above 5. But remember to check!
You can make a nice charged tea or water if you place a crystal in it. Only use tumbled and non toxic stones. Rose quartz is a suggestion.
In the morning, cleanse your bed by pulling the covers down and placing an amethyst on it, if you've had a nightmare.
If you want to try divination but are closeted/on a budget, you can try shufflemancy or get a tarot app! If tech witchcraft isn't to your liking, try using dice instead (dnd dice are great), playing cards, picking a random page from a book or even pieces of paper with runes written on them!
I willl add more when I get more ideas!
If you want me to write about a particular topic feel free to ask, and if you have suggestion to add to this post, go on! ^^
