Oh yeah totally! I didn't take it the wrong way and that wasn't my intention to answer in the wrong way either.

But public/famous people who are well loved sometimes talked about how they navigate with all these feelings. Because it's not natural to receive that much love from that many people you know? I think it was the singer of a big band who said something like "it's not normal to need to hear 5000 people screaming their love at you every night to feel good about yourself" and someone else (sorry i can't remember shit today 💀) said something like "if you start to believe the good they say about you, you open the door to the bad as well. Because none of these people knows you so why would the good ones be right and the bad ones be wrong?". I guess their point was, it can get to their head and not only by becoming to full of themselves. It can be something they start linking to their self-worth which can be dangerous if their career knows some down times or if they work has less success at some point. It's tricky to rely on a love that is so addictive but that often has to grow bigger and bigger to keep making them feel the rush of it. And that is also very unnatural and so disconnected from their actual lives. It's actually interesting to listen to how they react to that. How much they keep for themselves and how much they redirect on the work, the people working with them, etc. I guess it's easier for actors who can dissociate themselves from their characters. Handling celebrity as a singer is a whole other level of pretty fucking hard.

Anyway, long story short, I didn't want to dismiss previous Nonny's feelings but it was just good little old me over-intellectualizing everything as always 🙈

Oh, I know what you mean with the fact that fans or people love someone a lot and the weirdness of it all. Timothée mentioned something like that in his first Happy, Sad and Confused podcast I think. How is it so weird to get complimented all the time? I think he talked about that, haha. Can you recall as well?

I can’t but I trust your memory better than mine 😅 It’s something they all have to deal with and it’s not always easy to talk about. You don’t want the people who support you and your work to feel like their love is unwanted because it’s not about that at all. But yeah, parasocial is weird. It's not as new as we might think but it got weirder with social media.
