We reconnected with one of our friends we had a falling out with due to his partner cutting contact.

It felt great to actually be honest and open with him. We learned that his partner basically was keeping us from getting closer due to her insecurities and god-complex (her own words) and that we were basically both under her thumb.

I still did things wrong that led to the fracturing of the relationship, but it feels good to not have to completely blame myself and to understand that the situation we were in lead me to those self destructive actions.

It’s been almost a year since we’ve parted. He seems so much healthier and happier now that he’s broken up with her. He said the same about me, that I seem more open and less scared.

It happens on the day I graduated from high school too. Our friendship split off right before senior year started, and is rebuilt right after it ends. It feels nice, like a full circle moment.

I don’t want to say I have closure—nothing’s ending, we’re going to continue being friends, it seems—but I feel as though a huge weight has been lifted. The breakup was partially specifically my fault, after all, so it feels good to be able to front without any guilt. We’re repairing things.

It’s still a bit uncomfortable and nerve-wracking, but I think this rekindling of our friendship is going to be a good thing. I’m actually happy.

hi chat i’ve come up with a horrific au. persona 5 and homestuck

things would mainly be the same except for trolls are on earth, and the phantom thieves consist of trolls.

- Akechi is half troll half human, and publicly advocates for troll rights (looks more on the human side though)

- In good old goro akechi style though he’s shidos hitman who targets primarily trolls

- Shido pretends to support troll rights, but plans to remove their rights once he becomes prime minister

- Joker got convicted with no evidence due to him being a troll ! hooray for xenophobia /j

- kismesis + matesprite shuake is real

- akechi ann moirails (<- projecting)

- metaverse still exists, but the personas all have fun troll forms now (LOKI WITH THE CANDY CORN HORNS 🔥🔥🔥🔥)

- Futaba and Akechi half siblings are also real. btw. (Futaba is half troll but looks more troll than human.)

- Sojiro is human but leblanc is a troll safe space

- Maruki is a troll who wants to achieve equality for both trolls and humans

Hurts, doesn’t it? Knowing nobody could ever love us the same way we do. Because nobody would do absolutely anything for us the same way we would. And it’s wrong to expect that of others, sure, but god damnit I want it anyway.

The people who treat us as human beings will leave as soon as they can’t handle the pressure of being our favorite person. And the ones who stay will only ever treat us as an object to entertain themselves with. Because we’re easy to manipulate. Easy to mold into whatever they want us to be. Because we would do anything to get them to stay.

But even if we do everything right they’ll still go. They’ll get bored. They always do. Some new toy will grab their attention and wrench them away from us. Or even if they do keep us we’ll never be the favorite.

Why can’t we be the best for once?! Just one person, just one, favor us more. Prioritize me. Save me. Love ME. I’m so tired of being used as a puppet only to be abandoned.
