most overrated character?

Doing this again because there are so many of those : Shikamaru and Hinata. Before someone kills me I do like Hinata, I just hate her fans. Like in what way did she surpass Neji when she can't be arsed to run without falling. Bffr Neji's the strongest Hyuuga. And Shikamaru isn't smart when his entire victory hinges on dumbing down and nerfing both Hidan and Kakuzu.

When he wants to? Yes. It's not the wildest romance, but he showed he can write a decent one with Tsunade and Dan (and arguable Minato and Kushina although I hate that couple for other reasons). Even ShikaTema aren't too bad. He's just clearly not interested in writing romance

Everything leading up to it. The way the antagonists (especially Madara) were treated both by the narrative and characters, the way Kaguya came out of nowhere, the way Naruto and Sasuke kept getting unearned power ups. Hell on earth. Then all this culminates into a VOTE2 fight I never wanted to see with a Sasuke who's blabbering nonsense, and then suddenly, skyscrapers and ugly ass kids of ships that got little to no development. None of the questions brought up by the story got resolved

Shittily written. That girl did not catch a break from the moment she got introduced, and she's not the only one, pretty much every female character is shittily written. They're just one of two misogynistic stereotypes, with no fulfilling arc, no space to throw hands like the male characters etc etc. Yeah yeah Tsunade isn't too bad but she still suffers from misogynistic writing

Perpetrator. There could've been an argument for him being a victim, but adult Itachi does say he regrets nothing so clearly he's fine with the massacre and would've made the same decision as an adult aka he's nothing but a shameless genocidal murderer. I'm not very interested in waxing poetry about how hard it was for him to kill his own parents when he had like, so many choices to make, and I think such discussions are stupid when Sasuke (and the Uchiha clan) are the biggest victims of both Itachi and Konoha and yet don't get a fraction of the sympathy that Itachi gets

12. who should've died in war arc?

Gai first of all. Why the hell did he survive 8 gates? What was the point? It cheapened his sacrifice, and made it obvious that the stakes, no matter how high, are never that serious. Frankly I didn't even want him to be the one to open the 8 gates, it should've been Lee's moment (and yes, death) but well. At least one of the Gokage (preferably Onoki and/or Gaara) should've also died. And Hinata or Hiashi should've died to protect Neji, it would've been THE perfect symbolic end to the Hyuuga issue. Oh Shikamaru should've also died, he was useless and it would've made more impact. Probs another death in Konoha 12 would be great (like Kiba maybe?) but Lee's and Shikamaru's deaths (with potentially Hinata also dying) would've been great for tension and emotional impact. Oh also neither Obito nor Madara should've died

13. was kakashi trying his best? / was he a "good" sensei?

He was a good sensei bc he made good child soldiers. He was also a good sensei bc he did try his best to keep them safe. I don't know why people argue he's the worst. Gai, Asuma, and Jiraiya are fucked up, and Kurenai got 0 screentime teaching. Kakashi also trained Sakura, and recommended her to Tsunade. The idea that he completly neglected her is fanon

Tobirama is Japanese. The Uchiha are Japanese. No he was not racist, and he didn't do half the shit people claim he did (he didn't disrespect Madara's body or Uchiha's funeral practices, he didn't segregate them, he didn't force them to be in the Police Force, he didn't focus solely on the Uchiha and no other threats, he didn't call them slurs (cant believe i even need to say that), he didnt hunt them specifically, he didn't kill Izuna for shits and giggles, he didnt seek out Kagami to use him as the "black friend", he didnt spread rumors, he didnt spy on them, he didnt blame them for Madara's actions etc etc etc. He was prejudiced, as was Madara (who even went as far as to cut Tsunade in half just bc she's Senju. That's way more violent than Tobirama calling Sasuke an evil brat). I think it's perfectly understable why he was so cautious about them, and I wish he was given half the understanding the Uchiha get for their own backstories and actions, considering he too was a traumatized child soldiers who watched his siblings die and was abused by his father. He's a product of his times, and even he acknowledges that. That's why he has faith in the younger generations, and why he died for them twice.

17. Is Sakura useless?

Not at all. Naruto would've died in the Waves arc without her, and that's just the first arc. People just hate female characters, and belittle healers.

18. ship wars or power scaling debates?

I prefer ship wars bc I'm not rlly a shipper so I don't get annoyed and can make fun of people who get mad at me for my opinions. Power scaling tho....I'm a great power scalers and when ppl just make shit up (like saying Hinata is stronger than Neji or Itachi than Obito) I get pissed.

I'm really getting tired of seeing people say Studio Pierrot hated Sakura

When in reality they didnt't in fact she had alot of fans in the studio. Which is dangerous for people spreading missinformation about the people working at the studio.

I'm always seeing on twitter & other social pages. "SP hated sakura." "They wanted to make her look bad. "Why didn't they adapt the Sakura Hiden novel. "They favored Hinata more." "They add filler to Hinata's fight." "They sexuallized Hinata." " Hinata has more filler episodes."

Also, with Studio Pierrot, they love Sakura in fact they wanted Naruto & Sakura together. They tried really hard to pair her with the main character.

A anime watcher even you know that she's right. Doesn't a matter of whether or not this version of Sasuke was stronger then Naruto, its a fact. Even if Sakura is doing it out of being a fangirl it’s doesn't matter(doubt it was suppose to be taken that way anyway). Kakashi stated that Sasuke was the number one rookie. How does this alter Sakura’s character?

Naruto saved her and Sasuke from Gaara, Sakura couldn’t even process that Naruto was the one that beat him and rescued them, she didn't have hopes on him, it was all Sasuke. How the did this change paints her in bad light when she was like this in canon.

They did the same with Naruto vs. Sasuke, Kakashi vs. Hidan, Pain vs. Naruto, Obito vs. Kakashi and, of course , Sakura vs. Sasori

The studio also went out of their way to make something different that painted Sakura of a hero.

anime she is blaming herself for not telling her daughter enough about Sasuke.Iin the manga canon she blames Sarada for wanting to know more about her father. Boruto Anime makes Sakura more sympathetic as she at admits she did something wrong.

Again, they’re just following the characteristic’s that is created for her. It’s canon that Sakura hits Naruto when he can be somewhat annoying. Naruto is 40% filler, were going see a bunch of scenes of Sakura hitting Naruto.

Hinata appeared in 12 anime filler arcs and 5 anime filler movies she had was a minor character in most( most from Naruto then in shippuden). Sakura had appeared 15 anime arcs and 9 anime filler movies, she made major roles in them too.

We can all look this up put people choose not to.

Don't act like she is the only female character that had fanservice in the show.

It was one episode of Hinata about the novel Konoha Hiden... The plot split with other characters find a gift to attend the wedding (her wedding mind you) and she was worried. Didn't know having her appear in a episode about that was a bad thing.

I will never understand how a side character needs to be compaired to someone from the main cast.

They didn't adapt Kakashi, Gaara or atakuski hiden. alot novels including Sasuke Star pupil, Shikamaru Mouring clouds & half- adapted Naruto Parent & Child Day

everyone nitpicks when comes to the anime. People love to pick & choose. Showing scenes Form a studio that likes to make most of her fights way better and likes to ships her with Naruto they really don't seem to hate her.

Note: this wasn't to provoke it was to show the hypocisy in how people say SP hated her & sexuallized/favored Hinata. Suppose to show how much the Studio loved & cared for her.

They have still do care for her juding by some of the addtional scenes in Sasuke Retsuden & Boruto.

Edit: And yes I did use some moments of this answer: he does throw jokes but to say he's a anti is wrong. He addreses the flaws of her character, her writing/ relationships within her team. Lots of people will joke & take screencaps out of context in Naruto this isn't anything new to any character or show

The sky continued to empty itself as storm clouds rolled through - like a sick and twisted indication of your current mood. The silk material of the cocktail dress you’d worn specifically for Naruto had clung to your body as the rain soaked every inch of your skin, causing you to shiver as the door swung open in front of you. The pair of familiar Onyx eyes on the other side met your own dull, lifeless ones as you stood in front of the Uchiha who had talked you off many a ledge in the past.

Without a single word being said, Sasuke stepped aside allowing you to enter his home at this unusual midnight hour. You stood in the dim hallway, absolutely dejected - black mascara having stained your warm cheeks as you glanced up at Sasuke with the look of defeat in your eyes. Sasuke - still not uttering a word, let out a small sigh and pulled your shivering, wet body into a loving embrace, cradling your rain-soaked hair onto his chest - not caring that he'd need to change his clothes. He rested his chin on the top of your head as you sniffled into his sleep shirt but Sasuke didn’t care. It was as if he knew exactly what you needed at that moment. He always knew.

Sasuke was a misunderstood man that genuinely believed you were one of the only people who truly saw him for who he was and moments like these were one of the many reasons you adored him. Despite him being your ex-boyfriend's old friend, he considered his bond with you to be a particularly special one. From the time you were kids, you never gave up on him. You gave him space to express his emotions and spill his guts on the rare, alcohol-fueled, tear filled nights without fear of judgment. In fact, you’d both considered each other to be soulmates in another life. There was always a mutual agreement that no matter what happened - you’d be there for each other and this was no different.

You unwrapped your arms from around Sasuke’s waist, chuckling from the slight embarrassment of your prior breakdown - wiping a tear in the process. Sasuke led you to his cozy living room where the glow of the TV was the only thing giving light to the space.

“Let’s get you out of these clothes.” The Uchiha sighed as he padded across the wooden floor of his tiny home and into his bedroom. You nodded and wrapped a nearby blanket around your trembling body.

“Here.” Sasuke said as he threw a pair of his sweatpants and an oversized t-shirt in your direction. “Bathroom’s that way.” he nodded with his head, in the direction you needed to go as he got comfortable on his couch, patiently waiting for you to join him.

As you changed into the dry clothes that the Uchiha had given you and cozied up to him on the sectional, you couldn’t resist the urge to deeply inhale the faint scent of Patchouli and Bergamot that always lingered on Sasuke’s clothes. To be honest, that in itself momentarily centered you and brought you back down to earth.

“What’d he do?” The deep, flatness of Sasuke’s voice caused you to instinctively close your eyes, replaying the evening in your head over and over.

“He kissed her, Sasuke.” your voice began to crack. Sasuke’s brow rose out of pure bewilderment that his old friend and rival would do something so detrimental to his relationship.

“I guess Prince Charming isn’t so perfect after all.” The Uchiha grumbled under his breath. He couldn’t even fathom that Naruto would cross these kinds of boundaries within your relationship.

“Tell me about it. He decided that he wants to see if he can fix things with Hinata for the sake of the kids.” Your heart sank once more, relaying the conversation to Sasuke.

Sasuke scoffed, “That’s bullshit. Even I know that.”

Feeling as though you’d cried as much as your tear ducts would allow, you could only muster a small chuckle. “Yeah…So I kicked him out and I came here because well…I don't know. I just really need you right now.” You said as you stared intensely into the Uchiha’s dark eyes.

Sasuke placed a gentle hand on your thigh. “Good. My door is always open for you.” A small smile crept across the Uchiha’s lips.

The man had it bad for you. Always has. However, he’d often let the nagging voice in his head tell him that he couldn’t give you the life that you deserved. He was a broken man who desperately needed to unlearn a lot of trauma and was terrified of dragging you down with him.

As much as he hated to hear how the fight with Naruto had affected you - he was content with being in your presence, just simply existing. As the night slowly progressed, your heart had finally begun to settle. You were swimming in a newfound peace of mind being in Sasuke’s home and soon found your fingers wrapped around the piping hot coffee mug Sasuke had given you. Fortunately, it was already filled to the brim with your favorite tea flavor - Chamomile.

While Sasuke was a man of few words - his love language was undeniably acts of service and seeing as though he knew you better than most, he had the kettle going as soon as you started spilling your guts to him - walking to and from the living room and the kitchen, being sure not to miss a single detail of your story.

“Sasuke, do you ever think…what if it had been you?” you inquired hesitantly as you placed the mug on the table in front of you.

Sasuke’s head snapped, staring fiercely in your eyes, trying to process what you’d just said. “Us?” his head cocked to the side. “Want the truth?”

Amongst the excitement surrounding your precious birthday gift from Naruto - you immediately looked for Sasuke in the sea of faces, somehow worried about his reaction to the fact that you were no longer single. As much as you cared deeply for Naruto from the time you were teenagers, Sasuke Uchiha was the one that held a place in the deepest crevice of your heart.

“Why’d you keep this to yourself for so long?” you asked, disappointment evident in your tone.

“What exactly was I supposed to do?” Sasuke grumbled. “Everyone could see how in love you were with that loser. He has this unyielding grip on you - which I never quite understood.” he shrugged.

A slight pang of guilt hit your stomach as you empathized with Sasuke. Despite how close you were with the Uchiha growing up, you’d made it clear over the years where your heart lied and it was always undeniably with Naruto Uzumaki.

“Pft, look where that got me?” you rolled your eyes at the realization that your so called “fairy-tale ending” had just come crashing down.

“Well, what’s done is done. It’s best to leave the past, in the past.” Sasuke flatly responded. His gaze focused on the ceiling and he rested his head on the couch cushion.

As you stared at the painfully handsome Uchiha, your mind raced a million miles a minute. You were hurting and as always, Sasuke was there to pick up the fragile pieces of your heart. You forced every bone in your body to stay rigid - trying your hardest to not to act on pure instinct alone but - sitting on the couch, sharing space with the man who talked you off another ledge right into the early part of the morning, caused your vulnerability to be at an all time high.

You grabbed Sasuke’s chin, feeling his long black hair tickle your hand as you guided him to look in your direction. He was breathtakingly beautiful. You soon pulled his face closer, mere inches from your own. Sasuke didn’t dare put up a fight.

“Well, who says we can’t rewrite the future?” you asked as you placed your soft, supple lips onto Sasuke’s - whose were now slightly parted from pure shock at the kiss he was quickly settling into.

You let your vulnerability and instinct triumph over the logical part of your brain as you continued to passionately exchange sweet kisses with the Uchiha. You shook the thoughts out of your head, feeling stupid that you’d even considered Naruto’s feelings after what he’d done to you. You were sick of choosing the man who hurt you over the man who’d have probably given you the world despite his lack of confidence in being able to provide for you.

Your feverish body went into overdrive as your lips met the Uchiha’s once more. You desperately fumbled for the hem of Sasuke’s shirt trying to guide it over his body. Similarly, Sasuke began tugging at the tee he’d given you to wear, signaling it to come off. Sasuke had crept out as the sun was rising, making a quick pharmacy run. While he truly adored you and had always wanted to share his life with you - he wasn’t ignorant to the complexity of your situation-ship or how babies were made, for that matter and slipped to the “Family Planning Aisle” to grab an emergency contraceptive.

Sasuke, being as stealthy as a mouse - quietly made his way back into his home, careful not to awaken the sleeping princess who occupied space in his bed. As he kicked his shoes off, Sasuke placed the lavender box on the side table closest to you, right next to the cup of Chamomile tea he’d made for you before bed the previous night.

Right as Sasuke carefully slipped back into bed next to you, your body began to stir. You wiped the sleepy from your eyes as you turned over, now face to face with the man who’d given you a broad shoulder to cry on as well as respectfully rearranged your insides the night before.

“Good Morning.” Sasuke mumbled.

“Morning, Uchiha.” You let out an exaggerated yawn and stretch as you tried to get your bearings.

The week had been a whirlwind as the last thing you expected when you were planning your three year anniversary dinner was to end up in Sasuke Uchiha’s bed.

You grabbed your phone out of instinct, tapping the screen to check your overnight messages. To your surprise, your screen was filled with dozens of missed calls and text messages from the last person you’d expected to hear from so soon.

As you scanned your phone - a lump in your throat formed, causing your mouth to salivate as heartbreaking memories flooded your mind. Your eyes began to fill with tears - fingers trembling, feeling absolutely terrified to read the messages that Naruto had bombarded you with. You didn’t know what to expect from him anymore and you were incredibly emotionally and mentally drained. You couldn’t handle any other surprises, so you threw the phone back on the table, face down - shaking yourself out of your thoughts.

Sasuke sighed. “You miss him, don’t you?” he peered at you from the corner of his eyes. Sasuke was extremely observant and could tell that your phone was causing nothing but trouble for you this morning.

You crossed your arms, smacking your lips in frustration. “No, of course not….” you paused, knowing that you were blatantly lying. “Well…”

“It’s fine.” Sasuke interrupted. His morning voice sounded as low and monotone as ever.

“What’s that supposed to mean?”

Sasuke shrugged. “It’s obvious you still love him. Those feeling’s dont just go away after one night of fucking.”

You laid back on the cushy pillow now facing Sasuke, cheeks burning from the use of his vulgar language. “Sasuke, I…”

“Just drop it, Y/N”. Sasuke, sounding annoyed, reached for the unopened bottle of water on his bedside, tossing it in your direction.

“I got you something.” The Uchiha nodded his head forcing you to take notice of the purple package of Plan B.

Your head whipped to the side, eyes now blown wide. You smacked your forehead, completely forgetting how carried away you and Sasuke had gotten last night - now taking notice of the pastel colored box lying face down on the table.

“Fuck. Thanks… you really didn’t have-”

Sasuke blew a frustrated sigh, immediately cutting you off. Irritation, obvious in his tone. “I did though. Take the pill please.”

You rolled your eyes and snatched the water from Sasuke’s hand, annoyed at his cold demeanor. You tore into the packaging and shoved the little white pill down your throat, swallowing hard.

With a scowl now plastered across your face, you glared at Sasuke. “Why are you being such a dickhead?” You spit back, completely unbothered at how confrontational you were being first thing in the morning.

Sasuke, now equally perturbed - turned to face you. Staring intently into your eyes. “Tch. You wanna start playing house now? Is that what this is?” he sneered.

“W-what?! No! But… this isn’t exactly the vibe I expected from you after we, y’know...” You crossed your arms, eyes squinting - dead set on Sasuke.

“Nothing about last night changes anything between us or the fact that you’re still in love with him.” Sasuke’s voice now slightly raised - his tone laced with venom and jealousy.

“Dammit, Sasuke! You’re such a Leo, it irks my soul!” you yelled back.

“Shut up. You know I'm right. That dumbass has had you in chokehold our entire lives.”

Your face dropped - sympathy suddenly consuming you as you slowly came to the realization that this is Sasuke’s way of expressing his contempt for your soul-tie with Naruto that appears will never be broken.

“Sasuke…I care about you. So much. I always have.” you pleaded, grabbing Sasuke’s hand. Sasuke immediately turned his head, snatching his hand away from yours. As much of a tough-guy demeanor he often held, he was actually quite soft.

Your lip began to quiver at how detached Sasuke seemed to act towards you the morning after such a beautiful night. “Sasuke, what do you want me to say, huh?” you huffed.

“You want me to lie to you and tell you that Naruto means nothing to me?!” you ran your fingers through your hair, clutching your scalp from pure frustration.

“I want you to make a decision and stick with it!” The Uchiha roared. You flinched at the sudden increase in volume. “Don’t just come around trying to get a sympathy fuck whenever that idiot hurts you!”

You gasped. “It wasn’t a sympathy fuck, Sasuke. What the hell is wrong with you?”

“Tch. You were vulnerable and horny. Nothing more.” Sasuke spat back.

You sighed, sitting with your thoughts momentarily, slightly pissed that Sasuke was reading you and hitting the nail on the head. “I’m here now aren’t I?” you asked, shifting yourself on the bed to get back in Sasuke’s direct line of view, tears began streaming down your cheeks.

“Hm. But for how long?” Sasuke asked.

You snatched your phone off the nightstand once more, frantically typing in the lock screen passcode as the Face ID wouldn’t accept your now tear stained face. You carefully avoided opening the message thread with your ex, Naruto. You immediately ran to the contacts, clicking on his name and hovering over the “Block Caller” button.

You sharply inhaled. A very small part of you was still interested in reading what the messages said. You sat next to Sasuke on the bed, eerily quiet as you fiddled around on your phone. Your fingers began to tremble again and for lack of better judgment you hesitantly clicked the “Messages” icon to view your most recent texts from Naruto.

“I miss you.”

“I made a mistake, please call me back.”

“I love you so much, sweetheart. There’s no one else out there for me.”

You began to panic, heart thumping loudly in your ears, your breathing became unhinged and shallow as you started to re-read the dozens of messages over and over. You clutched the phone to your chest, letting the screen go dark and took a deep breath. Seconds later, you quickly unlocked your phone once more and without a moment to reconsider you blocked the contact ‘Naruto 🧡’, tossing the phone in Sasuke’s lap, with the endless amount of messages still open.

“Sasuke. I don’t know what the future holds. No one does. But what I do know - is that this time I’m choosing myself. My mental wellbeing. My happiness.”

Sasuke slowly scrolled through the messages seeing the desperation yet high regard that Naruto held for you, even through the screen.

“And?” Sasuke pressed.

“-And…even though I’m in no place to start a fresh relationship, I’ll be sure to take better care of your heart this go ‘round. You really do mean the world to me.” Your voice trembled as the sweet words spilled from your lips. You were terrified and holding your breath awaiting Sasuke’s response.

Sasuke swiftly perked up - the smallest smile crept onto his lips. The Uchiha turned to face you, now staring at you much softer than before. It was as if something you said had broken the wall he immediately put back up after last night.

Sasuke, momentarily staying quiet - raised his middle finger and index finger together giving you a gentle poke on the forehead, a small smile still plastered across his face.

“I’ll take it.” The Uchiha replied. The corners of his lips raised much higher than you’d seen in a long time. You had truly missed his smile. Despite him being rough around the edges and a little blunt - he was truly what you’d needed all along.

After a night of arguing with your ex, trapping you in your own personal hell - you showed up at his doorstep completely unannounced. Since then, it’s been reconfirmed that Sasuke Uchiha indeed comforted you in ways many others could not.

Unexpected Sakura character deep dive or AKA why I’m convinced that kishi had at least some intention with her character to remain as shallow as she was when she was introduced because he could have changed her path at anytime but consciously chose not to:

I think when Kishi described Sakura’s love for Sasuke as a “selfish love” that was not only true at the time that Naruto began but remained true all the way to the very end of the series and onto Boruto as well. Kishi wrote Sakura as someone who was bullied as a child and gave her a crippling inferiority complex that she essentially never grew out of. She is not only extremely insecure about herself but also overcompensates in every way to make herself look bigger and better than she really is. Whether this was bragging about herself or doing something purposefully to get attention. And ever since she was a kid Sasuke was the “cool guy” that every girl in the village wanted. However, he never showed any girls any interest whatsoever, including Sakura, which only made village girls like Ino and Sakura want him even more.

In Sakura’s eyes, Sasuke is the flawless and fearless cool hot guy who could do no wrong. He is a gifted and talented ninja ever since he was a kid who outranked his peers a thousand to one. Sasuke, to Sakura, is a symbol of achievement and the epitome of success. And by winning his love, that would make her a success as well. To have the cool guy who never showed interest in any girl to pick HER? Well, that would mean she’s special too - like she always wanted to be. It doesn’t matter if she fundamentally misunderstands Sasuke as a person or that he was really just a traumatized kid who grew up without a family in a corrupted village who wanted him and his clan dead….That doesn’t matter to her, because that’s not the Sasuke that she built up in her mind. As long she can get him to love her, and show everyone that she’s special too, everything else doesn’t really matter.

Even in Boruto and Gaiden where it shows that Sasuke hasn’t visited his wife and daughter in over a decade and that Sarada has no idea where her father is or that Sakura hasn’t received so much as a hug/kiss from the person she married in years (if ever). OR that she can’t even answer a basic question from her daughter on if Sasuke ever wore glasses or not. It doesn’t matter because in Sakura’s mind, she won. The cool guy that everyone else wanted picked her, so that means shes special. Her inferiority complex that she never outgrew feeds into this acknowledgment and clings to it. She parades around the village wearing the uchiha symbol like a winner walks around with a gold medal and plasters the symbol on her house. It doesn’t matter that she has never been shown to acknowledge the mass murder of the uchiha clan or the violent history of Sasuke’s childhood. Or that even her husband doesn’t wear the uchiha symbol himself anymore. All that matters is that she won - her selfish love won in the end. Sasuke is hers and she feels validation that she wanted ever since she was a child.

well, yes, she sees sasuke as a price to be won and all she cares about is status. see, she doesn’t really care about him, no wonder kishimoto couldn’t bring himself to write a reason for her to “love” him because that would sound contrived. it’s not love, just infatuation. she’s infatuated with the sasuke she’s created in her head and his coolness and status. if there was another cooler guy, guess what, she would’ve gone for him instead of sasuke, her character is that shallow after all. why do you think she gets aggressive when her daughter starts asking valid questions about her shady “marriage”? because she can’t keep up with the appearances and delusions that “she won” when she still doesn’t get any affection, when she didn’t really got what she wanted and has to compensate with the uchiha crest and lies, the same way she brags about herself while trying to put other people down to feel better when, in fact, deep down she knows she “can’t do anything”, as sakura herself admitted it multiple times. kishimoto starts the story saying she’s someone that pursues a selfish love and ends it saying sakura is addicted to sasuke, a word with a negative connotation, indicating she’s toxic, and his portrayals are compatible to what he says.

GOD POC REP MATTERS IN MEDIA MATTERS ( STOP ACTING LIKE IT DOESNT)

As a black Person Growing Up Myself, It has been a beautiful journey road being a proud African American man coming out as genderqueer, I always Found Comfort & love In My own Skin & even my Hair of all textures, first time I saw the ever Strong lightning goddess storm in the xmen series on fox kids made a great impact in my life in the early days of the 80s & 90s along other favorite shows back then however,

POC representation in the Future of Anime & western animation even in today's media has been distorted Or even limited on how we as black people are drawn. from caricatures To Stereotypes, or to follow a certain trend to make a profit from viewers & fans be it from influencers & popular media or just to be made Fun Of & Mocked, do to make a profit out of a profit off our black origins & History.

Example black character such as Usopp One piece.

however there have been great anime that have made our features positive one is Sol Bianca and others

Pokemon, Michiko Hatchin, Naruto & Carole And Tuesday.

Just like In Real Life, We As black people come in so many textures and beautiful complexions as you see in all of animation, & black-owned magazines, such as essence and this one Called Jet in the 1920s through Now celebrating our great culture.

We As Blerds, Black Fans & Cosplayers should have good content in which we can express, & be uplifted by our skin Personality & meaning itself, No matter what background or environment to which we dress, or cosplay a character that's out of our skin tone.

we come so far to the point where we have great indie creators, cosplayers even compays from hair products blogs Manga & comic books.

I'm glad that we are coming into our own and doing better but there's still work to be done, on how Hollywood treats us, and until we see the next all-black piece of media that's when we make it

We need more Black Hairstyles in animation & we need it more than ever.

The Hair Style Topic, oh yes its no big surprise that hair controversy within media has sparked in outrage,or made in impact throughout, be it in and out of workplaces or in the entertainment industry, I do feel at times things could've been handled with care.

From what I've seen we have gotten 2 steps forward, 4 steps back situation of all the controversies coming from the killmonger haircut that's been sported, which is a limited stifled hairdo on how we are only presented and how our hair can be made into cause it's a following trend, Because this is not the only distinct hairsyle to have Iin animated media, A Half Cut Mop will Not do So Put some Soul Glo & Let It Grow.

NOW you may wonder why i decided to put this post of a Disney main character of afro Latina background, well Luz Noceda I feel has great growth coming out to her friends and chosen family, however doesn't change the fact they didn't do anything for her to show ethnic representation other than speak Spanish, Having to show that aggressive Spicy latina Archetype to a Degree, & have a black father mention in season 2, having given no origin story or closure.

throughout the show this showed has shown great lgbt representation even though at times flawed, in the relationship area. ( another topic for a video COmING SOON) however the owl house has fall flat on ethnic & hair representation, Gus is a great example of a character being sidelined a lot too.

for instance luz noceda has been stifled into nothing but that pokemon goh knockoff haircut,

even though there may have been open-minded viewers,who agree on luz hair being styled effectively, making many statements that hair shows so many emotions in animation, Down below

That all hair on poc characters is a good is how you pull it off, in the picture below there tons of great characters in many hairdos complementing them.

sometimes i wish luz character could have handled by poc staff, and have her own break out like the rest of the female characters, cause I kid you not, I met a lot of non-gender-conforming characters or people, who sport many hair designs. It infuriates me such a beautiful person Luz Batista find out the pilot that her character was somewhat sidelined due to the writing Problems & Shipping and I'm baffled how of course white staff members didn't do their research on Afro Latina her cause Luz is beautiful

Knowing other shows such as Moon Girl & Devil Dinosaur Do an incredible job of Discussing on how black hair is powerful, magical & comes in many shapes and intricate designs if you know what your doing and I for one have a graceful mother who a beautician coming from her,

We are in an era where black people shouldn't exist or we arent amount to anything and I too had my fair share of my hair being talked about in a nasty way,

Often, I hear/see the opinion that Nagato is a weak, shy boy who will give everything to his friend Yahiko, just like Konan.

Lol. This is ridiculous. Most simply forgot how Nagato communicated with Konan after the death of Yahiko, forgot that it was he who ruled the Land of Rain with an iron hand for 20 years, despite the terrible physical and mental state.

He is quite an emotionally sensitive person, but between sensitivity and weakness there is a big request, and it is Nagato's becoming the most cruel and merciless of the three that is most logical.

He hate people. True misanthropy.

Because it was he who killed a man at the age of 10, it was he who put up with a force that he could not control, it was he who doubted the methods of achieving the goal, it was he who survived three wars, saw the deaths of all his loved ones and, although he came down with mind, but did not repent, but only told Naruto that he would try to believe in Naruto. He does not believe Jiraiya - also his words (what means Naruto words)

You are see pain in his eyes? Pain of absolutely helpless? For precisely helplessness is what such a person will feel. A disabled person, located between giant countries that can attack at any moment, and no matter how strong you are, you will not be able to cope. .and literally the very feeling of helplessness is about Nagato's whole life, even his image of "God", which primarily implies justice.

Of course, then we see the simplest technique with pressure on guilt. Although it was Jiraiya who was the one who systematically drove Nagato crazy.

Jiraiya is essentially almost an emotional obsession for Nagato. He is the one who gave Nagato a sense of security and confidence. Guilt, self-disappointment... the classic narcissistic loop brought up in Nagato...

I really feel sorry for this character

Because he is a good character. He is similar to Tai Lung from Kungfu Panda, Azula from Avatar, Kuvira, but with a much calmer personality. A sort of Oliver Twist and Azula in one bottle 😂.

He is the victim of a bad upbringing. Circle of bad education. It all started with the Third Hokage, and ended with the elderly Jiraiya and Naruto (during the time of the second there were wars, it's hard to blame him). From the age of 10, he was prepared for a specific goal, he was actively pushed to this by the environment (and yes, the dream of ending wars is not Yahiko's dream, Yahiko just wanted to do what he wanted, but Konan ... where the men go and Konan... deity thing too, lol)

The tragedy of Nagato is not the tragedy of one person losing another, no.

This is the tragedy of someone who every day sees how others around him, innocent of anything, are trampled into the mud, other people's lives and dreams are trampled into the mud. This is real hell on earth.

HE ruled the Land of Rain for 20 years, raised her from her knees, defended her as best she could. And after that, someone will turn his tongue to call him weak?

What is interesting is that even after his death, Nagato did not change his authoritarian habits, Because this is not a request, but an order.

Speaking of Obito... he's the only one who understands Nagato.moreover, he is extremely careful with his body (even where it is essentially not necessary: careful touches on the chest and arm are clearly not needed), Obito does not offend Nagato, respects him, but he does not put Konan in anything. I think Obito perfectly understands what Nagato's life was like. And what does anyone have, but Nagato's life is like hell.

no matter how much Sakura does, she’s always gonna get labeled as “useless, trash, crybaby” etc. and her achievements always get talked as if they did nothing or weren’t important like,

(protecting sasuke and Naruto in og (against opponents that were obviously stronger than her) sasori fight, her medical aid during pain arc, restoring narutos FULL chakra, healing others during the war WHILE fighting, keeping Naruto from dying until minato can save him, helping Naruto and sasuke seal kaguya which they never could’ve done without her and then preventing Naruto and sasuke from dying of blood loss, and in the last she healed naruto nonstop for 3 fcking days + many of y’all’s favorite characters would’ve been dead without her. And that’s not even all!)

for example, 1 character does smth, let’s go with hinata jumping in, “trying” to save Naruto.

anti: what did Sakura do? Couldn’t she help? she was just crying.

what about the other kunoichis? Or the fcking anbus? What about hinatas bodyguard who just WATCHED?? (he was injured so I give him that) They also didn’t do sht but you’re only focusing on Sakura? let me tell you the fact that Sakura couldn’t even see what was happening cz only those with byakugan could see what was going on. also, y’all seriously want a medic ninja to jump into the fight?? FR? even if she was capable of doing it, she couldn’t. It’s the rule.

also the fact that they always compare her to Naruto and sasuke with GOD POWERS?? Ofc she isn’t as strong as them. But if you go by that logic go with every character. Shikamaru, Ino, kiba, hinata and whoever are also not as strong as them. it’s with everyone who gets compared with them both.

it’s okay to hate a character, that’s absolutely fine. But spreading false sht about her and making other hate for no reason is shtty af. like SP did. speaking of SP, stop clinging on filler moments to justify your hate. It’s not canon.

with that said, She’s the strongest kunoichi. She surpassed tsunade aka former strongest. It’s canon. and the fact that she isn’t from any special clan makes it even more awesome. Deal with it. You can’t keep calling her “useless” cz that title was gone since Shippuuden started (actually in OG but I’m gonna let you have your fun) and she proofed herself that she can keep up with sasuke and Naruto.

I'm someone who has never read/watched naruto and never will but loves reading naruto fanfiction with a heavy focus on worldbuilding. I wrote out a long explanation but in short I would love to hear your thoughts and opinions about Itachi and the Uchiha massacre as I have seen several authors handle it very different. Have seen some tags a while ago about it and it sounded so interesting. <-I like your words and would love to see more of them especially about this.

Oh Lordy lord do I have some THOUGHTS on this (mostly as an unapologetically unhinged Naruto series fangirl but I DIGRESS ...😅)

Obviously, it’s a very bad thing to kill ones family. OBVIOUSLY, right? But how I looked at it when I was younger and how I look at it now is very very different.

When I was younger I was still sympathetic to Itachi but was like “He should have tried way harder to find a different option, etc” and I never took into account his own trauma and what that did to his reasoning ability because yes everyone and their mother was blowing smoke up his ass about being *such* a geniussss and he’s sooooo smart and if he was soooo smart he should have found a better option right BUT ...they were only doing that because they were using him for their own ends! They were manipulating a KID. Also I don’t care if it’s some fictional world with different expectations for what kids do he was still literally a CHILD. 13 at the time of the massacre. Sure he was an adult the rest of the time but I remember what I was like at 18 (when Itachi returns and gives Sasuke that ass whoopin) and 21(when Itachi dies in that epic fight) and lemme tell you I was still an emotional disaster from my own childhood bullshit.

Also, a huge thing I never took into account back in the day was his relationship with Sasuke. Everyone is always going awwww it’s so adorable he cared about his little brother so much how cuuuute like...it was literally parentification, my dudes. Don’t care if it’s fantasy anime world and what have you, parentification is a legit trauma and absolutely changes the way you think. That’s when it clicked for me why Itachi couldn’t have found a “better way” because he literally got tunnel vision to where his top priority was saving Sasuke aka his CHILD no matter what. I’m sure he knew about all the emotional trauma he was about to put Sasuke through but in his fucked up parentified mind it was ok because it meant Sasuke would have a *chance* at being happy and that chance was enough for Itachi. So their relationship just makes me so sad instead of me going aww that’s heartwarming how much he cares etc because WHY WAS A SIX YEAR OLD LOOKING AFTER A LTERAL BABY WHILE HIS PARENTS WERE COOKING UP A COUP?!

Sighhh...lastly, I really like his character because he’s not even that over powered and he is very flawed via social skills so idk how everyone got the idea that Itachi fangirls/fanboys love him because he’s “the best” or “the most powerful” when he’s just a weirdo who did the best he could and just happened to look ✨cool✨ doing it. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Plus he admitted he fucked up in the end and told Sasuke he had a right to choose his own path and even told Naruto hey don’t try to save everyone and do everything all by yourself because things WILL go to shit if you do etc...

And don’t get me started on Itachi’s war trauma because what kind of shitty father takes their kindergarten age kid to a battlefield?!?! Fugaku ain’t SHIT

I just really like his story. It’s sooo much more than just him killing his family omg oh nooo you know what I mean?

growing up AFAB, i had some sort of connection to masculinity that transcended "tomboyhood" which i couldn't explain at the time. i knew i liked boys and masculine people but always felt like it was in a different way than "other (straight) girls." i didnt really get it until i started watching and reading naruto, which was the first ever anime/manga i had ever watched/read. early on in the show, the two main characters (naruto and sasuke) accidentally kissed as a gag, but when i watched it i was like "........... i wanna be like them.........." and that was how i learned about "yaoi/BL (boys' love) " aka the japanese term for media featuring homosexual relationships between two men. i learned that shipping sasuke and naruto together was really popular (and honestly, the entire series is basically SasuNaru: the show even if the creator didnt specifically intend it to be that way, he's just misogynistic enough to make the only meaningful relationships between men only LOL) and that there was a lot of fanart featuring them together, and that there are a bunch of manga and ships out there that were yaoi too, and i found comfort in SasuNaru, BL media, and yaoi ships in the other shows i grew to like. thank you naruto for teaching me that i liked boys in a "boy way" HAHAHAHAH

n harmonia from pokemon black and white changed the trajectory of my life. i strongly believe that it was because of him that i am transmasc LMAO. i dont really know now what exactly about him made me want to be him so badly, but i remember when i was 11 i ended up making him my entire identity… i used him as a faceclaim on tumblr and saying he was literally me, i used his name as mine, and started using he/they pronouns for the first time. i also identified as agender at the time. something about him changed pokemon gays forever because i know im not the only one who was affected by him LOL

it got a bit more complicated in terms of gender identity when i realized that, although feeling like "boy" i didnt believe i was a "man" and didnt feel comfortable seeing myself as explicitly male. i found comfort in characters like haruhi fujioka from ouran high school host club and naoto shirogane from persona 4, who are both afab but gender nonconforming with more "boyish" looks and mannerisms rather than "manly" ones. their character arcs also specifically addressed gender and gender expression and opened up my mind to the idea of gender as a performance. they helped me realize i am nonbinary and that i could be both, neither, any, in between, whatever and that it both didnt have to matter and that it could be everything to be nothing or anything

the character archetype of “bishounen” aka “beautiful boy,” depicting men of androgynous/feminine beauty, also brought me a lot of clarity in terms of the way i felt transmasc. howl from howl’s moving castle, kurama from yu yu hakusho, kurapika from hunter x hunter, marth from fire emblem, and most importantly ciel phantomhive from black butler (who has been canonically depicted in drag multiple times) are characters that have made me scream “I WANT HIS GENDERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR." they helped me realize that the way i wanted to be masculine and what masculinity meant to ME, regardless of what other people define as masculine, was different, and that i could express masculinity in a way that wasn’t typical

Assuming the Zuko movie takes place after Imbalance, do you think Azula will be the main antagonist? And if so, what do you think she will be trying to accomplish? Because if we what she told Zuko in the crypt at face value, it seems she will keep manipulating various pro-Ozai groups in a dual effort to both protect him and to try to turn him into the tyrant she knows he can be. But if we take the TRPG at face value, she is trying to dethrone Zuko and restart the 100 year war, working her with her transnational network to find the means to dethrone Zuko/pacify Aang like unlocking the power of a dangerous sprit. Though her possible lingering positive feelings towards Zuko may throw a wrench in her plans.

Also, do you think that they will ever touch upon the asylum abuse that Azula suffered along with her Fire Warriors? Especially since it is part of the reason why they joined Azula and Zuko has some of them in custody?

Finally, if you think the Zuko movie will give an end to Azula’s story, how do you think they will end her story? Because the optimist in me says that they might for a Naruto-style ending where Zuko gets through to her after stalemating her (probably because he has allies who would follow him to the ends of the earth while she has no one) and thus causes her to turn a new leaf. But the pessimist in me says that she is going to get killed, get jailed for life and de-bended after her final defeat, commit suicide, die by making a fatal mistake, or get thrown in the Fog of Lost Souls by angry sprits. For the TRPG has her trying to mess with sprits, literally says she is at her wits end, and makes it clear she won’t allow herself to be captured alive if she has any choice in the matter.

Anon, sorry for the pessimistic, not at all detailed response, but here’s what I’m expecting from ANYTHING made by Bryke at this point:

They’ll completely ignore the actual characters and focus on fanon bullshit, aka Zuko will be an awkward turtleduck who doesn’t know what he’s doing, will be a passive, stupid doormat through every little plot-point, and the only thing that lets us know this is supposed to be Zuko is the name and face.

Azula will demonized at every second, the abuse she canonically suffered in the show will never be acknowledged, and the abuse she suffered at the asylum in the comics will be treated like it was Zuko mercifully giving her a chance and being rewarded with yet more evil actions (that make no sense and would never be a plan created by Azula, insane or not, because she has an actual brain).

Meanwhile, somewhere far away and not helping anyone with anything yet still being treated as a hero, Iroh is doing something that is actually kind of shitty or just not important at all, but that the narrative will show as the best thing ever done in the history of the world.

Also, Aang? Who’s that? The kid who is not Fanon!Zuko? He is not important, the fandom chose someone else to project onto. Also, add in some cheap Zutara bait that makes the show worse, and then Bryke being assholes at the shippers they just baited.

Mai... I dunno, eye-candy? Cheap “Will they, won’t they” Ross and Rachel style.

Also Saint!Ursa, that is actually a terrible mother, including to the kid she supposedly likes.

Okay so this is a good example of Kishimoto's foreshadowing and context building.

Now, we know that the central narrative of Naruto and Shippuden is Sasuke and Naruto's bond/relationship. Their love for each other.

So everything else in the story would serve to contribute to this central narrative and its central characters by creating twists and turns, so that it could develop and reach a justified conclusion/climax. The story didn't end with the war arc. It ended with Sasuke and Naruto's reconciliation. I am not considering chapter 700, because it's a band aid chapter. Not meaningless but a band aid nevertheless.

So this analysis is based on the chapter called 'Love' in part one.

And Kishi explains it quite explicitly.

As Yashamaru explains to Gaara what pain feels like, and how physical pain is different from emotional pain, we also get an explanation of what Kishi thinks of love with respect to this story. Since Yashamaru is the caretaker and uncle of Gaara, the only person who is caring and affectionate to him, and someone Gaara loves as well. So, how much does this explanation figure in Naruto and Sasuke's relationship?

Does it fit? Well, Kishimoto didn't write their background stories with such heavy emphasis for nothing. Yashamaru explains further.

Is there more? Of course. So much more.

And more.

And much more. But you get the gist.

So is this caring and devotion? I would say so.

Now I have already explained why they aren't brothers so many times, or just 'friends', so I am not gonna go there. So what's left?

It's romantic love. It's about care and devotion. That's Kishi's definition of love and I agree whole heartedly.

There's a catch here though. Where we see Yashamaru try to assassinate Gaara on the his father aka the kazekage's orders, Naruto does this when he hears of Kumo's orders to assassinate Sasuke.

This is where Naruto is different from all others. And this is why their bond stands out. Because he would break the rigid structures and binding chains of the shinobi system, but not let Sasuke be hurt. He will beg for Sasuke's life at the expense of his self respect and then would threaten bloody retaliation, but not let Sasuke get hurt.

The intent of the writer is quite clear. What's Naruto gonna do with his self respect if Sasuke isn't around, everything else will be just a hollow victory, if Sasuke isn't by Naruto's side. Naruto won't even consider it. He has lost so much already. He understands the vicious cycle of revenge, and he promised Nagato that he would break it. But if it comes to Sasuke, he would let it continue. Because absolutely nothing matters if Naruto loses Sasuke. Period.

Kishimoto knew what he was doing, he had known all along. If everything is a bait, like some wise people claim, I don't know what the actual story is about. Heh.

I do. It's about Naruto and Sasuke's love. A love so great and relentless and devotional that nothing else compares. Nothing.

Konan ♡

Oh Konan, Sweet sweet Konan, my favourite naruto character aka one of the few female naruto characters Kishimoto actually put effort into writing

Shes so sweet and so fragile she’s like the paper she uses for origami in that aspect

Konan is the type of yandere who doesn’t fall for random strangers on the street, she falls for close friends and would only become yandere due to feelings of love she has for someone she loves and cares about, the yandere side would come from her childhood and past experiences manifesting itself into a deep fear of lonliness and losing someone she loves and repeating her whole childhood

I love Pervy-sage but he literally taught these kids how to fight then said “alright Imma head out and get the milk” when he was the ONLY PARENTAL FIGURE THESE TRAUMATISED WAR ORPHANS-

Almost everyone she’s known she wasn’t able to keep from dying or leaving her behind e;g her parents, Pervy Sage, Yahiko, Nagato

She’s trying her best, on one hand the Akatsuki fights for freedom and equality and in her right man she knows what she’s feeling isn’t right and its screwed up but in her other side, the traumatised side all she can’t remember her childhood, the cold rainy days with naught but caves and tress as shelter, cracked lips and hoarse throats, no lullabies from parents and instead the nose lulling her to sleep was the rain and her grumbling stomach, she saw the disgusting depths humanity can stoop to and in her mind if the world could be that cruel to nothing but a child what on earth it could do to you given the chance? She doesn’t want to take the chance

But despite all these fears Konan will never actually LOCK her darling away, she knows you would never forgive her for that, instead she’s very clingy and even if you want alone time you’ll get it but every now and then she’s checking up on you making sure you’re okay

She’s very overprotective, she’s always keeping track of new friends and even just strangers you talk to in the street she’s seeing what kind of person they are and if they are good enough to be your friend

Lord forgive if they try and pursue you romantically, while I don’t think Konan would WANT to kill someone she’d prefur to scare them away, but if she feels like there’s no other option she will do it believing its for you

But that’s just Konan, If Konan’s in love with you like this you also have to deal with Yahiko and Nagato.

Yahiko♡

Yahiko is a little harder to place, to mix his yandere side with is pacifist side is quite a task

Just like Konan I imagine Yahiko knows firsthand the pain the world can give you and he would gladly sacrifice himself if it meant you would be okay

For Yahiko to be yandere for someone I imagine they’d have to be someone who he knew since childhood and grew up or someone in the Akatsuki he’s really close with

Yahiko would see you as a diety of sorts, it doesn’t matter what you’re personality is Yahiko sees you as someone who doesn’t deserve to suffer, you don’t deserve to live in a world this bad

Yahiko would be the type to lock you up BUT he has such trouble saying no to you plus he hates when you’re angry at him

He’s so overprotective but unlike Konan he’s not low-key about it

like, AT ALL

You’ll be talking to some rando in the Akatsuki about some random shit like onigiri and he’s hovering over your shoulder ominously glaring at them which makes them leave pretty quick

When one of the three leaders of the Akatsuki looks like he wants you to get the fuck away you get the fuck away

He’s like a dog he just wants to follow you everywhere it doesn’t matter what you’re doing even if its something small like going to the grocery store he wants to be with you while you do it

Yahiko isn’t the type to kill his love rivals but insteal emotionally manipulate you into not talking to them again or vice-versa

Nagato♡

Ahh my favourite boy

Out of the three I think Nagato is definitely the most unhinged

Despite him looking up to and wanting to be like Yahiko and his ideals unfortunately Nagato is not like that

Nagato probably still feels different to everyone else with his rinnegan plus his childhood

Nagato would definitely have to be yandere for someone he knew since he was a kid, someone who had many many years to establish the bond of trust

Nagato is like Yahiko where he sees the darling as a deity but Nagato also see’s his darling as someone who is higher than him, someone who is kinder

He truly doesn’t believe he’s worthy of his darling sometimes

This is why he nevers locks up his darling, since he believes himself lower than them he could never take something like that away from them

But just like Konan Nagato remembers his childhood, how cruel life is and he would rather die than see you suffer

This leads to him stalking you quite a bit

Nagato’s very lucid when it comes to how wrong it is to follow you without you knowing and how creepy it is but he always manages to justify it by believing its for your own safety

Nagato is very touch starved, if you like affection he’s going to be sneaking touches when he can

Not all of them are big like a hug though, most of them small things like holding your pinky or putting his hand on your shoulder

If you don’t like affection thats cool too Nagato doesn’t believe he’s worthy of you half the time let alone your touch he can sit on the opposite side to you on the couch and be on cloud nine

honestly I get masochist vibes

Nagato has no problems killing someone for his darling, though he prefers to avoid it most of the time its simply out of necessity and with his overprotectiveness most of the time he’s got no problem with it

Nagato is cracked and broken, he has been since he was a kid and since then has been aware of whats been spilling out but could do nothing to stop it,

(I have nothing but upmost reverence for this story. This author writes one of the nest NS and I have loved all. NS is beautiful and Sakura is badass. Everything we already know is here and more.)

Naruto and Sakura are send by the Hokage for a difficult infiltration mission. They will have to face more than just the danger itself as they will have to keep their cover to be fake husband and wife credible. how it will impact the relationship between the two ninja. Growing Love. Misunderstanding.

Life was going great, Sakura thought. She was penniless, stranded in Europe without a way home, her fiancee had just dumped her for another woman AND her new companion was quite possibly a thief. How could things get any worse? Wait...was that guy pointing a gun at her?

(Now, personally, I don't prefer modern AU, but this story really had interesting characterisation and more character depth. NaruSaku is pretty spot on. It also features SasuHina and bamf!Hinata)

The greatest pretenders: snowyseas || ff.net || M || Borutoverse || ongoing

Fifteen years is a long time to not talk to someone you consider your best friend, and is made even more difficult when they (and you) are married. The things Sakura should have confronted Naruto about never came to fruition, but as an old saying goes, "the truth will always be revealed".

(Your typical I-made-a-wrong-choice-but-now-can-be-done story but unlike many other stories in this they don't admit their love for each chapter at the first chapter itself. In fact, it feels so canon and you can almost superimpose it upon the canon. Sakura is mentally strong and knows what's right. )

He was the sun: SavageTrickster || ff.net || T || Canonverse || ongoing

He had come a long way - from a lonely orphan ostracized by everyone to a loved hero. He deserved all these. His Hokage dream to come true. All the ramen he could eat. - Her eyes fell on a certain Hyuuga seated close enough for accidental touches. Her heart sank a little at a harsh whisper of reminder - And a deserving girl...who could give him all her love.

(So far so good. It's ongoing, and is at chapter 3. Sakura leaves Konoha much like how Naruto did, to explore the world aka seeing my headcanon in writing.)

Wilderness: Kanji no Sakka || M || canondivergent || ongoing

As the war screeches to a temporary halt, Naruto leaves the battlefield on a unique mission only he can complete. Sakura is ordered to go with him. In the days that follow their bond is changed forever.

(Although I hate any explicit stories that involve characters below age 17, I give this a pass because of the uniqueness of plot and characterisation. It has fine lemons that comes with a good plot.)

How It Should Have Been: OfPaintAndOil || ff.net || T || canon divergent || oneshot

It wasn't supposed to be this way. Sasuke was supposed to be the dark one, the unredeemable one. Naruto was the bright one, the good one. It wasn't supposed to be like this, with blood on his hands and glowing red eyes and a grin. Naruto was supposed to make everything better, and maybe he did, in the end, but Sakura had never expected the end to look quite like this.

(Featuring Yandere!Naruto. It leaves you wanting for more and is a fascinating read. It's dark themed so proceed with caution as your favorite character might or might not be dead.)

The Best Dates are the Cheap Ones: Shivakashi || ff.net || T || post!Timeskip || Oneshot

The whole point was to get the best date; that meant the richest and classiest guy, right? Sakura realizes what she has taken for granted and Ino learns a lesson in value.

(Sakura learns her lesson and snatches her boy. InoNaru is worth noting. Not the best characterisation of Sakura but bear with her jealousy for that is the reason why NS fluff exists. Story itself is very light and entertaining.)

mangoes and strawberries: ohthelinsanity || ff.net || T || postwar || oneshot

Sakura Haruno was elbow deep in Naruto Uzumaki's guts when he asked her to marry him. It was so not the right time. But she still said yes.

(This story just screams NS upon every single line. Diabetes warning. Too cute for this world. One of the best NS fluff I've read thus far. It kinda sticks to you forever!)

18 minutes, 23 seconds: ohthelinsanity || ff.net || T || postwar || oneshot

in which Naruto asks Sakura about that time she literally reached into his chest and grabbed his heart with her bare hand.

(Heartwarming. We all know how Sakura held Naruto's heart on her palms and how we love that moment. This is memory of that moment reminisced by our cutie pies.)

A set of drabbles revolving around Naruto, Sakura, and their children. It turns out that, when the war ends, these two get busy. Real busy.

Pairings: Itachi x Reader | Shisui x Reader | Sasuke x Reader

Status: Headcanons and scenarios mixed hybrid, requested.

Ask: Scenario where Yandere!Itachi, Yandere!Shisui, Yandere!Sasuke and Yandere!Obito realizes that they all have feelings for you and since they're family, they decided that they are going to share.

A/N: I’m didn’t add Obito to this scenario because I don’t see this dynamic working with him in the mix. Although Obito is an Uchiha, frankly speaking, Itachi didn’t ever trust him. Sasuke used him for his own means didn’t care about him other than that either way. As far as Shisui is concerned, he never really interacted with Obito.

Itachi and Shisui are best friends, and Itachi and Sasuke are siblings (who do care for each other). Sasuke is stubborn about his own ideals but he can still be persuaded by Itachi, and given that Itachi and the Uchiha clan respected Shisui a lot, Sasuke would do too. So, a dynamic with these three choosing to co-operate is plausible. But with Obito.... not really. I just don’t see how he would fit in this scenario. So, hopefully this explanation clarifies why Obito wasn’t added to the scenario.

Your background: To be in a position where you can interact with all these three simultaneously, you would have to be part of the Uchiha clan yourself. The only other way might be that you’re Itachi’s classmate and progressed exactly like he did. But then, it just feels like copying and pasting Itachi’s character and that’s no fun.

No ‘duplicate version of another character’ in this household. So there’s two choices for your background that can nonetheless lead to the same scenario. Thus, you can choose whatever floats your boat: 1) you’re the first daughter of the main branch of another clan of your choice, and for some time now, your clan and the Uchiha clan have been planning to form an alliance together. What better way to do that than to arrange a marriage between the two first children of the main branch from both clans that “coincidentally” have to be the same age?

2) You’re an Uchiha child, born to parents who are from one of the side branches of the clan. There isn’t many other kids to interact with, and despite being a side branch member, your father is one of the most respected shinobi in the clan. So, your future as a ninja is given, and with his interactions and meetings with Fugaku, he takes you along with him. As a result, your introduction with Itachi is inevitable. And so by extension, you will also meet Shisui and Sasuke. And given your father’s good relationship with Fugaku, mayhaps your parents went ahead and arranged your marriage with Itachi behind your back and not notifying you yet.

PSA: For the age balance, you are Itachi’s age in this scenario. Shisui is 2-4 years older than Itachi and Itachi is 4 years older than Sasuke. Having a maximum of 8 years age gap if you were Sasuke’s age, or Shisui’s age, would be a lot LOL. Besides, Itachi would be the mediator between Sasuke and Shisui, so you building a relationship with him first makes the most sense.

Introduction / Meeting

Itachi

You and Itachi are forced to spend time together as ‘playmates’ while your parents discuss ‘official business’ (the arrange marriage) with Fugaku and Mikoto. Itachi is overly polite but there’s an icy coldness underlining his polite greetings and one-word answers he gives to your questions when you try to start a conversation.

You aren’t dumb. You were raised with high expectations placed on your shoulders so although you’re not a prodigy at his level, you have more than enough intelligence to know that he’s patronizing you. And unlike him, you aren’t an immature coward who hides behind their passive-aggressive remarks. Whatever you have to say, you communicate it bluntly. So, you don’t hesitate to spew out what you really think of him (a coward who takes his frustrations out on others aka you, who is also in the same situation, instead of facing his problems), and leave his pretty boy face behind in shock.

You were five when this happened.

Sasuke: Overtime, your ‘playdates’ with Itachi became a norm. You were forced to visit him many times and spend time with him given that he is your future husband. (You don’t know that yet, but at this point, Itachi has his suspicions that something is up).

His baby brother is his entire life. Sasuke makes him smile in the way no one else does, so its no wonder you met him eventually.

You were first held Sasuke was he was about fourteen months old. He was a small, chubby, innocent little thing with his already haughty attitude. He had no problem crying in the arms of the people he didn’t like, which was almost everyone outside of his immediate family. But when you held him, despite Itachi’s warnings that “he doesn’t like everyone” but he instantly liked you (much to his displeasure), you instantly became attached to him. Then in the following years, you babysat him a lot. He was the cute little younger sibling you wanted but never had, so you spoiled him to bits. And with the attention and love you gave him, Sasuke loved you too. Not to mention, unlike everyone else in his family, who picked Itachi over him, you picked him over Itachi.

How can he not fall in love with you?

Shisui: More often than not these days, Shisui would silently watch and observe Itachi. For a six years old, it was terrifying for him how he was already adapting to the shinobi lifestyle is so easily; being an emotionless robot and extremely talented.

But, over the past few days, gone were the seemingly emotionless robot. Instead, he had changed into a boy who acted like how a six year old was supposed to act: whiny, pouty, and frustrated (to an extent), but happy at the same time. It was entertaining for him to watch Itachi’s expressions shift from one to another every moment as he grumbled about you underneath his breath. Shisui was ready to tease him about it, but you had beat him to it.

You had appeared out of nowhere and were hosting the two-years-old Sasuke on your shoulders for a piggy back ride. No one was given any time to react, before rude remarks were slipping out your lips that just humiliated his precious friend into a fumbling mess.

Itachi had tried to get back at you, he really did. But your mouth ran like a sailor and you had a witty remark prepared for everything. It was such a contrast to the “perfect princess” show you put on before your and his parents. And each time, your response was more embarrassing which eventually made him lose his cool. Seeing him flustered, despite how much he loved you, little Sasuke tried to jump to his nii-san’s aid. Shisui was prepared to snicker and chuckle to himself, if he it wasn’t for the most beautiful sound he had ever heard: your laughter. It was so raw, pure, genuine and innocent, he was instantly immersed. Barely anyone from shinobi clans, and given how they were raised, acted so open. And you brought out a different side to Itachi -- it was intriguing for him to witness.

He wanted to get to know you more. He wanted to hear your life more. He wanted you to share your secrets with him on how to bully Itachi so easily. So immediately, he put out his hand and gave you a wide grin.

“I’m Shisui. What’s your name?”

Realising their feelings

Shisui: Shisui knew he loved you ever since your first laugh. It was love at first sound. However, with the respect to you belonging to his best friend, he would never make a move on you.

Maybe, there might be some lingering touches here and there that lasted a bit too long between ‘friends.’ Maybe sometimes he was harsher on you during your training spars so he would have an excuse to touch you and help you bandage up your injuries. Maybe sometimes, he ‘jokingly’ wrapped his arms around your waist and kissed your cheek to ‘get a rise out of Itachi’ and not because he wanted to touch you.

But he never made a move on you because he knew you were Itachi’s. And as long as you were still his friend and spent time with him, he didn’t care too much.

But he should’ve known better. Just as how he can understand Itachi and cares for him like he is his brother, Itachi is the same towards Shisui. He knew how Shisui felt about you, and although one part of him just wanted to you have all to himself, it didn’t feel right that Shisui had to hold himself back when he needed you too. If only, it wasn’t for your clan, and the Uchiha, and their damn village that believed in monogamous relationships, then he would happily share you with Shisui.

Itachi: There were many rules and obligations Itachi has to adhere to due to his clan. Although he did them, he didn’t want to. He hated it. His thoughts were different from his actions so he was constantly experiencing cognitive dissonance. But, you weren’t part of that. For some reason, when he was eleven and his suspicions were confirmed by his parents and the clan elders that you were set up to wed him when you both turn thirteen, that was one thing he didn’t hate or didn’t want to do. In fact, it was alarming for everyone in the meeting how easily he obliged.

Confirming how he felt towards you, it honestly did not surprise him. He had assumed this was the case for a while. Ever since you called him a coward due to his habit of upholding a facade, he tried to be more honest. Not in front of his clan, evidently, but to the people that mattered. Shisui, Sasuke, you, and himself.

The old Itachi, had he not met you and fell in love with someone, would have buried his feelings without a care. But for you.... it was a different story. He acknowledged his feelings and never tried to get rid off them. How could he? You were the perfect lover for him. You got along swimmingly with Shisui. You took good care of Sasuke, and his younger brother was so attached to you. You were an exceptional kunoichi, put up the perfect facade before your own parents and his, and weren’t afraid to challenge him and speak your mind.

And best of all? You were already promised to him. So, he saw no reason to bury his feelings for you.

Sasuke: Sasuke always knew he loved you.

Ever since he can remember, you had always been by his side no matter what.

His father didn’t pay attention to him. His mother did, but she scolded him too when he just wanted to spend time with Itachi.

Itachi spent time with him but lately, he has been ignoring him. It’s not the same. And him and Shisui always leave him behind to get things done that they say he’s “not mature enough to know.”

But Sasuke does know.

He knows what they talk about his and your back because thinks of those things too. It’s everywhere: princesses, their prince, their love story and happily ever after.

He wants to kiss you to show you how he loves you like the couples in fairy tales. He does. Despite his nerves that are causing fluttering butterflies in his tummy, he builds up the courage to have his first kiss with you.

But you’re faster than him. You just move your head so he kisses your cheek instead, and then laugh out loud before ruffling his hair and telling him, “you’re adorable. But you should save your first kiss for your true love.”

He likes being adorable for you, but why won’t you understand?! You are his first and only love.

There will be a day when you finally understand that.

Sharing You:

ok.... listen.... Uchiha clan massacre (and yours too for scenario A) but both Itachi and Shisui. And although its mission issued by the damn village, that’s not why they’re doing it. It just so happens that its the perfect solution to all their problems because they get rid off the obstacles in their way, and they will have to leave the village. They can take you away far, away from everything, so you only have them left.

Obviously, they will take Sasuke with them too. Except this time, there’s no also hurting and torturing him and enticing him to seek revenge. If anything, when Sasuke is horrified, Itachi tells him the truth. There’s lies as well, but, they would need to brainwash him to some extent so he willingly stays with them. Itachi tells him of how if the clan lived, then he would never get to be with you, or see you again because they were going to hurt you.

“Do you want that foolish little brother? You made big claims to make [Name] yours and protect her, so are you really going to mourn those who were going to take her away from you? She’s my bride, and because I care about you, I will share her. But for that to happen, you need to listen to me and Shisui and not be pathetic as to get in our way.”

Itachi had a way with his words, and it was terrifying how much they could influence Sasuke. And now that they had, and no one else was going to be in the way -- not any clans, the village -- nothing.

It is just going to be you and them for the rest of your life.
